Yesterday September 30, was my first visit with Dr Abby Sokunbi. Dr Abby is a clear example of a good physician. She is very knowledgeable, very caring, detailed, compassionate and cheerful. She showed a good understanding of my health concerns and addressed them all. I left her office feeling better.
I called the Katy radiology department in August 3rd. I was looking for a 24 h EEG. The lady who attended was very friendly and polite. She confirmed that they performed the study but asked for the doctor to fax them the order. She told me they will call me 2 to 3 days after to schedule. I contacted my doctors office and asked them to do so. A week later, without having been called, I started calling the clinic. Different people attended a couple of times and informed me that they needed to check and would call back. I insisted and, finally, almost 1 month later, on August 26th, another lady responded the phone and being super friendly and polite helped me to find out what was going on. It turned out that they had lost the doctors order. So she offered to call the doctors office directly and finally got the order faxed to her... Then she apologized and told me that they didnt perform that study. How is it possible that on the many calls I had with them, and the calls they had with my doctors office, nobody was able to tell me they didnt do the exam? I should have clearly explained what I needed not less than four times, including the very first one when I explicitly asked for it. So? I just lost a month and Im back to the beginning. A big thank you!
Dr. Abimbola SokunbiOMG!!!! I cannot find the words. She is beyond phenomenal. Thumbs up to the staff also. I felt so welcomed. I have so much I could say but it’s not enough space to write. Just know this was one of the best decision I have made medical wise. I will definitely have my family change their PCP. Ma’am you rock. Let’s talk about her patience and how she discussed my issues from A-Z. I know she graduated with many honors. I’m happy happy happy. Thank you!!!! Where have you been all my life. You share the true definition of a doctor. God blessed you always.
If I would have an option then I would have given 0 star. This place dont deserve a single star. The worst experience with Dr. Felicia Jordan.I heard so much about Kelsey but found this is just another cheating and fraud institution.In a wellness visit doctor asked my wife - how are you doing and how is everything? She replied all good, sometime I get pain in my joints but nothing concerning or alarming. Rest I am doing exercise and all... just a casual talk between two people. Doctor didnt do anything and just for that 15 secs talk she has charged $264 outpatient charge? Seriously??? Do I need to take a course before meeting your doctors to understand what to speak and what not? And by doing nothing how you deserve or earned those $264??? Just getting a doctor license does it gives you another licence to rob people. Or you have become so professional that forgot the humanity and calculating each word of people to find out how you can charge more and more people. SHAME!
I like Dr. Haikal because he takes time to really talk to you, explain things and is very thorough. I don’t leave his office confused about anything we discussed or feeling like I still have unanswered questions.I would feel very comfortable referring a friend to Dr. Haikal. In fact, I referred my husband and he is now a patient of his!
I have been back and forth with MRI scheduling at this location all day today trying to get an MRI scheduled for my wife. This morning when I first called Kelsey, they said they were waiting to hear from my insurance regarding the prior authorization. I called my insurance and they informed me that no prior authorization is needed and my copay is $200 for the MRI. I called Kelsey back and informed this to them and they said they still needed to wait for an official prior authorization saying that no authorization is needed (which is super counterintuitive). I called Kelsey again at 4 pm to follow up and received the same response. Called my insurance again who then called Kelsey directly while I was on hold with them. This time Kelsey rep told them that they cannot verify benefits till the MRI is actually scheduled. Called Kelsey back and informed them yet again that no prior authorization is needed. This time the Kelsey rep put my on hold for 30 minutes to verify something, returned and pretended not to hear anything and hung up on me. I called back and the same rep said that everyone had gone for the day and to call back tomorrow. Such audacity. I asked for a supervisors email and she said she cannot provide that to me and they are all gone for the day. I used to think very highly of Kelsey and have been with them for many years but I have to say that they have now lost a patient forever. The sad part is that this is not a service that you can leave right away because you have health issues and starting the process all over again at another facility is another ordeal. What is a patient to do in such a situation?
Dr. Haikal is very nice and professional. It was easy to talk to him and he answered all my questions. I never felt like he was rushing me out even though I knew he was really busy. I appreciate his direct approach because that is what I need from my doctor. I had a great experience. Every time I am at this location I feel like these people love their jobs. Great staff!
Dr. Sokunbi is possibly the best listener Ive ever had in a doctor. She takes notes and is able to repeat back to me my concerns and then ticks off my concerns with solutions. She is warm, responsive and has a good sense of humor. I always trust her counsel and approach to my medical needs.
My doctor (Dr Jordan) is familiar with diets like keto. This is big plus for me as I am not interested in taking another pill but addressing issues with nutrition as thoroughly as possible. She also did not rush my annual visit and seems to be very thorough and a good listener.
Dr Sakunbi is a great MD, knows what she is doing, a real professional with high integrity, a patient listener, great teacher, makes excellent recommendations, she completely changed my health status, I will recommend her to anyone who needs help. She response to my needs on time, refills my meds on time, makes med adjustments with teachings always, follows up treatments and ensures you are comfortable. Thank you Dr. Sakunbi. Only God can reward you for such excellent service to our community. If I had a sixth star, i would have given you. My wife would probably say better things about you than I can.
I feel I have his complete attention when I explain my symptoms. His use of analogies helps me understand his explanation of the mechanics of the heart.Also, my treatment is not on “automatic,” he makes adjustments in the care plan as my body changes.I have a very high level of trust in his abilities to take good care of me.
Dr. Felicia Jordan is very professional and friendly. She is prompt and very detailed during my visit. Her bedside manner is superb!A few years ago because of insurance I was unable to have her as my doctor. I was so happy to be able to select her again as my primary care physician!
In times like these you will think Kelsey will be taking patients in to help them. I took a different approach this time went got a covid test.Came back negative made appointment over the phone to be seen by a doctor wont mention no name. Explained in detail over the phone what I am going through. When I told them I got tested for covid and came back negative they agreed that I can come in to the clinic physically. But surprise surprise even tho I spent 75 dollars at a urgent care for a covid test, is not enough to be seen by a doctor here. Reason because the symptoms I have are still in line with covid. So whats the point of taking a covid test. Just for propaganda I really dont get it. Other clinics, emergency room, urgent cares are taking people in risking their lifes also just like you. What makes you so special. Every one has loves ones, sons, daughter,grandma, grandpa. The morale of the story dont take a covid test to hopefully be seen by them. And unless your dying just go to the emergency room.
This location is sunny and bright upon entering. There is a pharmacy and lab on site. Wheelchairs are also available. The receptionists on both floors are extremely courteous and always greet me with a smile and ask how I’m doing. They truly care about patients having a smooth check in process. I’ve never waited more than 15 minutes to be called back.It’s a two story building and my PCP is at this location and it’s so nice to be able to have blood drawn, xrays etc performed if needed in one location. Doctors and nurses are very knowledgeable and thorough! I highly recommend this location!!
Dr. Haikal is a very dignified physician and a patient listener. He listens to all health issues and then recommends and explains his treatment. He will explain each and every test he will order or not order. It is always good visiting Dr. Haikal. One leaves his office feeling good and upbeat.For any issue of concern after test results, you will definitely hear from him with words of encouragement and good wishes.
I absolutely love how Dr. Teng showed her concern. She listened and she took action. She showed excellent patient care. I was so sick. Although she explained everything to me, I had forgotten what she said to do if my results were negative. Well, my results were negative but when I looked in my Kelsey online there it was ( the results and she reiterated what I needed to do). I truly appreciate Dr. Teng just as much as I appreciates Dr. Jordan and Dr. Salinas. Thank you Kelsey for having awesome Physicians and staff. Sorry for the delay with filling out my survey. I have used Kelsey Seybold for my family almost six years. The pediatrician, Dr Sabbagh, is amazing. She sees all my children. I never have difficulties getting in to see someone, and the wait is not long compared to other places I have been. Its normally between 5 to 10 minute wait. The only thing I recommend is making sure you provide your insurance information ahead of time so the billing department can verify your benefits prior to your appointment. The only waiting I have had to do was due to me not updating my insurance information and arriving at the visit and updating it then. The nurses are great and staff is helpful and courteous. I recommend them all the time to friends and family.
Dr. Haikal is always friendly, courteous and professional. Hes through in examinations and takes time to answer any questions. He practices active listening skillfully. Ive seen him for last three years and am completely satisfied that he provides excellent healthcare.
It was a delight to meet Dr Haikal, his assistant Nurse and Kelsey-Seybold support staff for my first visit of KelesyCare Advantage Plan. Smooth, timely and professional execution of all tasks. Same goes for follow up test results and Dr. Haikals evaluation of my current health and required follow-up. Extremely Satisfied Patient.
Kelsey Seybold has been taking care of me since 2008. They are professional, thorough , friendly, considerate, and highly trained. If I need an appointment, they offer me various times to fit my schedule. They have multiple locations that are convenient to reach. I can’t imagine using anyone else for my health care needs.
Service is good but the billing is a nightmare. They told me twice that I owe nothing more for the service (I prefer to know the costs before the service so I always ask how much it will cost me) and send me huge bill for a 60 sec test.PS. I have contacted Kelsey multiple times. No resolution. Looks like it their business practice to misinform their clients and attempt to collect inflated charges.
He is very engaging, knowledgeable about current trends in his area of medicine and will take the time to discuss and fully understand your medical issues, treatment and prognosis. He takes the time to explain his course of medical treatment and why such treatment works best for you.
Dr Sokunbi is the Best! She has excellent bedside manner very focused and intentional when explaining good health and where you are and if there is a need to improve what’s the best way to get there. She is always honest and encouraging. Dr Sokunbi is one of the reason I decided to remain with Kelsey Seybold.
I received a call stating that I needed to come in for a new test since my mammogram came back abnormal. I made the appointment to return, took 1/2 day off for the test, received a call at 2:00 pm that I would have to pay over $450 for the test. Didnt sound right but said ok. My appointment was for 2:30 pm, called my insurance and they stated they I would not have to pay anything for the new testing. Spoke to the receptionist and told them this. Checked in and was waiting for the test. While waiting, the receptionist comes and tells me that my appointment was for 2:00 pm and not 2:30. Not true. Told me to reschedule. I stated I would be willing to wait and they said no. Asked to speak with a supervisor of this clinic. I was told no one was here to speak with me. Gave me a number to call radiology supervisor. Spoke to her and she was nice and also didnt understand how they could have made so many mistakes. Mind you I am told now that its not another mammogram needed but a larger 40 minute test. I leave Kelsey very dissapointed and nervous and having to wait for the test for 5 more days. May just go to a more professional establishment.
I’ve been trying to call since 8AM it’s 2:08 of course i hung up in between but i kept calling back time after time for someone to pick up i keep the call going for 30 min each time. & still the same annoying robot system speaking. “ someone will speak with you shortly “ i e. ever had this problem i’m trying to make a quick adjustment to my appointment that’s tomorrow. if i can’t make this adjustment and i’m in need to cancel then i have a fee. Which isn’t fair because they won’t answer the phone from 8-2 their has to be someone available to pick up. like seriously
Dr Mittal demonstrated his care and interest in my health needs by listening, asking questions to clarify, and working with me for a solution to an ongoing issue. After the first dose of the drug he prescribed I am already healing, which is what I have sought and for which I’m very grateful.
If your kid ever needs to get some labs done go here and ask for Carmen in the Laboratory. She is amazing! After a traumatic experience trying to get my babys blood drawn, she was an Angel sent our way. Carmen is incredible!! Carmen made me like this clinic even more. Also, Dr. Carter, my daughters pediatrician and my pcp Dr. Sokunbi are incredible! Never rush and always ready to educate us. They are both great! Highly recommend this place with the doctors mentioned.
I came here and I felt COMPLETELY rushed. The doctor that seen me left the room before I was done discussing everything with her. Both the doctor and the nurse seemed scatter brained and all over the place. I do however like the web portal they have set up for patients. I had everything at my fingertips and when I had follow up questions, I was able to email the doctor.
They fit me in when no appointments were available. The doc was very kind, understanding and patient. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They were also very thorough and professional. They make you feel comfortable and help keep the stres low. Great place for a gastroenterologist!
THE BEST MEDICAL EXPERIENCE IVE EVER ENCOUNTERED.Scenario: 2:45 pm, on Friday, 7/01/16. HOLIDAY WEEKEND, woohoo right? WRONG. My 3 year old has an accident resulting in injury (not sure what type, just that shes in a lot of pain).I call KS and notify them that my daughter, a new patient, had an accident and may need an X-ray. The scheduler got to business… she took all my insurance info (kind of a pain, but I couldn’t have done it upon arrival with a crying toddler), booked an appt, and transferred me directly to the Pediatric nurse so that she would be aware of our situation. The nurse helped my wrecked nerves by saying they would be ready for us. And sure enough within 25 minutes we were looking at X-rays of my daughter’s BROKEN COLLAR BONE (ooouch). The excellent service didn’t stop there.The Pediatric Doctor immediately contacted the Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Doctor (on 1st floor). By the time we walked downstairs, they were already reviewing the X-rays! The Doctor and his staff handled my LO with such delicate care, that she allowed them to handle her shoulder with no struggles.From start to finish, everyone I encountered took that extra step to make the process as pain free (pun intended) as possible. I cannot express my gratitude for turning a scary situation into a positive one.
Please be aware that just because you are going to a clinic that is in your network, it does not mean that your financial exposure is limited to your deductible and out of pocket maximum. When my wife gave birth, she used a doctor from this clinic, which was within our heath care network, however the doctor used a surgical assistant that is not in our network, without informing us or seeking explicit consent to perform the service. As a result, we are now left to argue with the 3rd party provider and the insurance company to have this cost covered, which is unlikely to happen. Do yourself a favor and stick to a clinic that only uses personnel inside your health network.
Extremely unhelpful over the phone. I couldnt even get an appointment or the pricing . I kept getting tossed around back to the main menu and anyone who picked up (including the dept. of medicine I was trying to see) said they cant help me with pricing and that I needed to call a different department. I finally just hung up and called someone else. I can only imagine how the patients are treated.
I went to Kelsey Seybold for 25 yrs, same doctor, same specialist, as well as my whole family, that was until they didnt renew their contract with Blue cross blue shield, at that time i found myself in search of a new provider, in which i found , now that i have i can honestly say i have been put on the right meds, and i have felt better than i ever had at Kelsey, loved the doctor there, but i now know that they are only out to make money, and get you in as much as possible to take it, hince the reason BCBS called them out on it and they ran. Thanks Kelsey, FOR NOTHING!

2022-01-28This was my first visit with Dr. Abby Sokunbi and I am happy I chose to see her. She was not rushed and spent adequate time with me. She genuinely seemed to care about my concerns and wanted to make sure I left happy that my needs were addressed. She was not pushy at all and I really like that she went through my medical history with me. I can’t recall the last time a doctor did that with me. She was very thorough and her demeanor was very calm and compassionate. Even her nurse/MA was very nice and compassionate. Overall, I had a great visit for my annual physical.

2022-07-28Because he took the time to listen to me and talk about health issues. He discussed the types of more specialized doctors and tests that should be done and when. He asked what doctors I had been going to for tests, etc, and there was no pressure to change them. The appointment was a very welcome change from what I have dealt with the past 4 or 5 years.

2022-03-30Dr Mittal was extremely knowledgeable and kind to me. He went to great lengths to explain to me how to prepare for a colonoscopy and why each step of prep was necessary. Colonoscopy IS surgery and it is important to me to be comfortable with the physician performing this procedure. I feel comfortable with Dr Mittal and confident in his abilities.

2022-04-07I innocently scheduled an appointment in this clinic for a check-up, nothing major, no real health problem. Two weeks later I find out have a large bill through my insurance because of some lab tests. It’s unbelievable, I am so dissappointed, no one informed me of these charges. I would never recommend this clinic. I feel robbed.

2022-08-22I had app and I was running late, I called and I was told the nurse and he said I had a 15min grace period I made right at the 15mins mark and than was turned away I asked to speak to the Doctor( Dr. Gonzalez ) but per the nurse Holly he would not come out and speak to me, so I tried to complain and talk to someone in charge then by the time they came and talk to me no Drs was there anymore, they said sorry but that wasnt enough I left work and was rushing here and for nothing because Dr Gonzalez or his nurses didnt even have enough decency to even come talk to me even after they told me to come in today, bottom line go to a Dr that cares more about you than leaving on time
