Kroger in other cities:
Kroger is my go-to place for Kroger soda and their wonderful selection of pet foods and treats. Every month, I go for a stock-up run to Bryan/College Station. My first stop is always Kroger to get the dog treats (before they sell out). When they were out of what I needed, I went to the Kroger in College Station. They didnt even sell most of the items on display in Bryan. The new additional space is great.
Always good produce, meats. Specials, and the People that work there. Ive known some of these people for YEARS and that does make a difference. These employees by no means have easy JOBS, but they tackle them with Pride and a positive attitude. So for me, IT IS THE PEOPLE that work there that keep me coming back.
Great selection of health food items as well as produce. Their meat is always fresh and they will cut your selection on your request. Staff is always really helpful and courteous. Parking can be tough during peak hours but fairly easy otherwise. They now have a gas station located across the street from them.
Kroger has been my favorite grocery store for over 40 years. I missed it greatly when I was out of Texas, and was so glad to have em back when I came returned. Now, I make extensive use of their app, to build my shopping list, and load coupons to my Plus card, so I dont have to carry paper around. The app also helps me manage my prescriptions, with auto-refills and reminders, and text messages when theyre ready. The people are awesome, too; friendly, helpful, and always remember me and my family.
Unfriendly people work there. Even the cashier was in a bad mood. No greeting, no thank you, I cant understand why this store has so many unhappy employees. Prices are slightly above other grocery stores. Definitely not my favorite grocery store. Probably my last visit.
Kroger is our go-to store for groceries, pharmacy needs, and gasoline, due to the loyalty discounts and selection. The Booneville store is going through an expansion, so things can be hard to find, and the store is a bit hard to navigate, but the improvements made so far look amazing! There is a greatly expanded ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook variety of foods that look great, too!
This Kroger is one of the large ones. I think it has everything, or at least, theyve never NOT had something I needed. Its clean, well stocked. Theres a starbucks inside thats good and the one time I was looking for flowers to give as a gift, I noticed that they have a good collection (flowers, not really house plants except for orchids). The workers there are nice and helpful too!Be aware that this place gets crowded on typical shopping times so there may be lines going at the check out but its never been long for me.If theres one critique, it might be that since the store is so big, I feel like its hard to know where everything is. Ive gone back and forth looking at the aisle content headers to find what I need a lot.
Nice store, its always clean, they have the stuff. But not much organic choices when it comes to fruits and veggies for which we sometimes go to HEB. But i love coming to kroger in the evenings its not that busy, nice in and out run! ONE big problem i have noticed is staff here needs better training for sure. their handling of customers is bland.....sorta makes you feel like why are you here....i checked out here on a register three different times, three different cashiers. not one said hello! or hi! it was like they were chained to their job and were unhappy...were mostly focused on engaging among their piers..
Clean, well lighted store, but not organized like I think it should be. Kinda hard to find some items if one doesnt utilize this store on a regular basis. Employees are nice, but the parking here is a mess because the store is always busy and there are other businesses in the same area.
ClickList is great for those times you just dont have enough time to shop for yourself. However, its been difficult to get some specific items (certain flavor of Blue Bell ice cream) or specialties that are available inside the store but not on the app when placing the order. Otherwise, for staples and basics, its really great!
Now Kroger has more varieties than heb. They have renewed and great varieties of food i can find. Organic food selection is slightly better than heb. My first complain is the store has tighter aisle widths compared to heb and I feel little confused in the beginning because I didnt know the things I want where, after you get use to it, it is ok and new expended parts are more roomy and relieving related to the tight aisles,. Also I recommend you to have a free kroger store card on your phone number otherwise it might be costly, the price change a little, and no discounts. My second complain is their customer service, i have needed 2 times in three years and dindt work and was not able to help or adress the issue and waited long. HEB customer service is splendid. However, kroger online customer service is great too only this stores customer service is a waste of time.
I could write a 20 page essay on why to shop at HEB over this Kroger, but I was turned away at 8:40 on a Saturday. I understand the the shortened hours from the pandemic and even differentiating from the updated online hours, but dont turn away people 20 minutes from closing an already shortened hours of operation.
Its an ok Kroger. Smaller scale than many stores, but that is what makes it convenient. Some of the shelves are mislabeled, prices will differ at checkout. This store stocks a small selection of yogurt, and 99.9% of those are low- or no-fat varieties. If you dont want the chemical storm associated with low / no fat, go to HEB. Generally clean, there are times when a quick once-over would be nice.
Bagged $112 worth of groceries while 3 employees walked by. One employee made eye contact with me twice and still did not move. It wouldnt have been a big deal that I had to bag my own groceries (as I prefer self-check out for this very reason) except this is the second time Ive been to this location and no one seemed to want to do their job.
Bobbie from the customer service needs to learn professionalism and how to communicate well with customers since she is working the customer service. I went to get my tag renewal and she told me that she can’t do it and that I have to go to the tax office, I asked her why and she replied she did not know and while I was still at the counter she yelled “next”. Do not plan on returning to Kroger’s.
I stop here frequently to grab groceries when Im in a hurry. They have multiple self check out kiosks, and always have registers open. And their customer service is outstanding, as a frequent shopper Im often stopped and spoken to by many of the employees at this establishment.
Ive left handwritten notes for the manager twice and spoken with him personally once, to ask him to order a few 12 packs of Pibb Zero. Never happens, and though I left my name and phone # on the notes, no response either. Honestly, I really try hard to only post 5 star reviews of places that have done well. Being ignored this much earns 1 star. Ive been a Kroger shopper 15 years, but I guess if this goes on another month Ill need to learn my way around HEB.:(
Horrible customer service when asking for help in the meat dept. Unfriendly, smart remarking staff that will gladly belittle you. Spoke with management but doubt any thing will be done. Big guy with the receding hairline and ginger ponytail was every bit of a _____________.
1 starOur last shopping trip we bought home groceries that didnt quite make it into the house. The bags ripped open as they were overloaded and not doubled. As me and my husband were checking out tonight we requested if the bagger could double up. While we were unloading our cart we heard the bagger say more then 5 times to another bagger we wanted our bags doubled. As I started paying attention to them I realized they were not only making a joke about it but they thought it was funny we requested this. I asked the cashier if there was a problem with my request. She realized what the baggers were doing (2 of them) and looked at us apologetically. She knew I was upset as I was paying and my husband was loading the cart. We payed and went to speak to the manager Keith. He didnt seem like he was concerned or was interested in our complaint. Upon getting home this is what we unloaded.1 bag with a case of cans not in the box (12 cans of dog food) double bagged but ripping.1 plastic container of cool whip by itself double bagged. 3 glass jars of various sizes and items along with boxes of other items stuffed into a bag double bagged. We got everything double bagged alright but it was thrown into the bags carelessly. The disrespect shown to us was unacceptable and we felt like we were the butt of a joke! We spent well over 100.00 but that is not the point. After complaining to the co manager who seemed like it was more of a bother to him to listen to our complaint than make it right. I will be contacting the Corporate office after the Thanksgiving holiday to file a complaint. We have never been treated so rudely and then to come home to find our groceries in the bags the way they were was also UNACCEPTABLE! Is it a big deal to make a request to have your bags doubled?I guess it is a big deal and a big joke. But as consumers who spend their hard earned money at this grocery store I think I would rather go the extra mile to HEB to get great customer service instead of being treated like this!
Got prescription filled...asked associate was flavor mixed in cause i know its suppose to be pink but it was white...she said know...get home which is about 8mi away only to find out she didnt mix it at all...still powder form...so i had to drive all the way back acrosee town to get it mixed...ugh😤😤😤

2022-05-31Their grocery pickup does not measure up to other local groceries like H‑E‑B or even Walmart! The last 2 times I’ve had items left off my list with them claiming it wasn’t in stock. The last time, they replacedmy Gluten free waffles for regular then omitted cream and carrots.I went in the store to see if I could find another brand of GF waffles. THERE WERE SEVERAL brands of gluten free waffles!!! (See picture)

2022-04-14At 8:35 there is only a few lanes open. Waiting time is extended do to church after rush and home to get little ones in bed. You figure with min. Wage over $13 and union company they would plan better.

There were at least 3 people in each of these lanes. I don’t do self-check as i want people to be employed, forced to this time and what a disaster!! Had to have someone come help due to wrong price wringing up!!! Very disappointed as we have always liked going to this Kroger!

2021-10-21A cashier named Ryan closed the doors in front of my daughter at 11:55pm when they dont even close till 12am. And when questioned acted like he didnt care. And saidwe close at 11:55. Need more better customer service and more following the times it says on door . I have never had this much problem til now and it was bad customer service and rude when shutting the door in front of my daughter.

2021-11-02Excellent store, great staff, excellent selection of products. If Kroger opened a store like the Boonville Rd location in Bryan, TX in the Temple area they would soon have the lion share of business.
