From the entrance, lobby, pool to my room the everything was sparkling clean! Staff was wonderful and very helpful. Stayed here for a week and had room service daily. Housekeeping was great and very courteous. The breakfast bar had plenty of packaged items to fit most dietary needs. Couldnt have been more happy with my experience. Will definitely stay here again! Thank you for a lovely stay!
I need to take a minute and highlight Aleta’s customer care! She is such a breathe of fresh air after an excruciating travel day! My husband and I are world travelers as he is Norwegian and she was such a pleasure to walk into your establishment! Keep up that smile Aleta and thank you!Sara Stavnes
This hotel was underwhelming. The heater/air unit smelled when turned on, the wifi was basically non existent. I couldnt even make a phone call with my cell phone or get my hot spot to work. I asked to change rooms in the hopes that would help with the internet. The gal who moved me was super helpful and even let me enter the room to be sure the wifi worked. It did. Breakfast was ok, no cheese though for the eggs and no bagels. The door to the outside at the end of our hallway, was supposed to be locked for security but never was no matter what time we entered. Bed was comfortable and my shower water pressure was great. Probably wouldnt stay there again.
The staff is very helpful and nice! They went out of their way to accommodate and help us with extra requests! Even one of the room attendants offered personal help when our rental car had a battery problem. Heck, she asked if we wanted to take her jumper cables in case we had a problem on the road!! THATS SERVICE BEYOND WHAT WE EXPECT!!
LAQUINTA INN in Kerrville Texas, was good. Its a budget hotel.. We definitely received what we paid for.. Our stay was easy.. The staff was efficient. We stayed 1 night in a King Suite, room 113. There were 4 adults and 2 children. The room had plenty of space for all us. We brought an Air mattress just in case. We liked the fact you could enter the restroom from 2 different doors. The king size bed slept great. The pull out was a pull out. The room was clean, the bedding was clean, the toilet & bathtub were clean. However, we still Lysol the room for our convenience. We utilized the freezer & refrigerator. There is also indoor pool, we werent able to use because of the short trip.Breakfast Free was next morning was perfect. We had oatmeal, Bananas, yogurts , waffles, hot tea, coffee and Juices.
Got here & within the first hour and a half of our stay, we hear cops arresting someone on our floor. “Tase him!”… “Looks like you are …going back to prison.” … “You caught another charge” … & “Stop resisting!!” aren’t exactly things you want to hear on your birthday weekend. On top of “I have a pistol” and “Don’t reach for it or we’ll shoot.”That was the big thing, but the rooms were clean and the towels were just small. The back door stays unlocked where it says it’s locked at all times and requires a key to get in. All together the stay itself wasn’t bad but I didn’t exactly feel like I was safe. If I hadn’t needed to shower, I think I would’ve spent the weekend in my truck.
We booked a room at LaQuinta in Kerrville, Texas The room 322 was dirty, dog urine smell, and we were told by the front desk this was the last room for the night. We decided to stay as it was late. There was loud knocking noises down the hall. The next morning as we prepared to leave the elevator had duct tape around the door with a sign out of order. We are seniors and we walked down Three flights of stairs with our luggage. Advised the lady at the front desk we wanted to request a credit, however we were told the Manager was not in. We called three times to advise the manager Tammy, however we have never received a phone call.We usually give great reviews in our travels, however this was a sad experience.
By far one of the dirtiest hotels Ive stayed at. The linoleum floor in our room was sticky. I wiped the floor with a towel and it turned it black. The mirror on the wall was ready to fall off. There was a used coffee bag in the coffee maker. Next to refrigerator something had leaked. Last but least, the lamps in the room were disgustingly filthy. Youd think with a reputable name like theres, youd have a nice experience. I guess I was wrong and never will I stay in a La Quinta again.
Several issues with this stay:1. Room was not clean- wads of hair on the floor and in the bed. The sleeper sofa had crumbs of food in the pull-out bed portion. Trash on the floor from the previous occupants.2. A/C - cycled on and off about every other minute and wasn’t draining properly making the room humid. We eventually turned it off to get some peace from the noise.3. Continental breakfast: bugs crawling around the juice containers and pre-packaged food left out.4. Exterior of the hotel looks nice, but the entire interior needs a major update and cleaning. Dust and hair collected in the corners by the hotel room doors and hallways.5. Windows not up to code- ours opened easily all of the way with no stop or lock. This could be quite dangerous for curious children.Overall, I’d highly recommend a different establishment to stay the night.
This hotel was not what we were expecting. My husband has stayed at other locations with no problems. This location was not clean. The room seemed to not be vacuumed properly, had to pick up small pieces of trash and a lighter left behind before my 1 year old grabbed it. Also, smelled bad. Possible cigarette smell and it was non smoking room. AC unit was dirty, seems like it isnt dusted. Restroom floors and entrance floors where no carpet was sticky. The only good thing about this stay was good customer service from receptionist. We planned on a two night stay, wish we couldve just left, but stayed one night since we had a long drive. Luckily I had cleaning supplies and clean sheets packed to make the room decent for the night.
Friendly staff, comfortable bed, dog friendly hotel, gave us toothbrushes when we realized we had left ours at our last stay. Im a facilities manager and trainer for a large restaurant chain and It was immediately obvious why this hotel has received a number of poor reviews. The entire hotel inside and out is in need of a renovation. Theyve made some attempts at repairing some issues like holes, paint, corrosion in the bathroom but it has been poorly handled. The housekeeping and maintenance staff either needs to be managed better, retrained, or they dont have enough people to do the job. Our room needed a detailed clean from top to bottom. A/C was working poorly when we arrived - we found the filters were clogged and since they were washable filters, washed them out in the shower and replaced after drying them out. This made a huge difference and the room started to cool off. Furniture, lighting, TV and communications have seen their day and need to be replaced. Yes the entire hotel smells musty - ITS OLD! Having all the carpets professionally cleaned will help but they really need to be replaced. They need to hire a professional lawncare company for the exterior as it has also been poorly maintained. If you decide to stay here just be aware they are in transition and doing the best they can with what they have. GM, I would start by personally training a housekeeping manager.
I have been staying in La Quintas for at least 20 years(I normally travel with my pet). Booked my stay in April and requested a 1st floor room, yes not guaranteed but again left a note was traveling with pet. Was put on 2nd floor...🤷♀️. Get into the room and it is just gross. There was hair on the side of the tub, what looks like a dog chewing spot in the bathroom. There was a shirt sticker on the side of the nightstand. One of the outlet covers wasn’t even attached to the wall. The horrible paint job was so bad the ceiling had paint from the walls. The doors from the halls outside don’t lock. I see from previous reviews that is an ongoing problem for at least a month. When let the front desk know, the attendant says the owners know and have ordered a part. How long does it take to get a part? Also the AC doesn’t keep the room cool, we put it on 61 and it was so hot all night long we couldn’t sleep and ended up leaving very early, the only reason I didn’t leave after all the issues is because we had been traveling since 4 am the day we checked in and we’re too tired to drive any more.
Staff at front desk very nice and courteous. Room clean. However HORRIBLE beds. First off they are full size beds. When you pull the blankets back you can see the sag in the middle of the bed. The mattress was worn out. It was impossible to have any room between my husband and I. My back and hips hurt all night. If it were not for the mattress I would have given a higher rating. But if you get up just as tired as you went to bed because you cant sleep its not worth paying for.
I love La Quinta Inn & Suites. Every stay, thus far, has been just about perfect. Always clean, quiet, and comfortable. I usually manage to book at a reasonable rate. Although, I generally pay more than most discount competitors, the extra money is worth it. Pet friendly as well as courteous staff. I highly recommend La Quinta Inn & Suites.
I specifically booked this hotel as it was the only 4 star hotel within the area, a little over $140 for one night vs. the 2 star, $70 hotels nearby.I had just finished a 12 hour drive. I parked out back and decided to use the side entry. First off, the door was unlocked when the sign clearly stated that its supposed to be locked 24/7.Upon entering the hotel, the hallway smelled of dog urine so bad. I go up to my room, I check everything out to make sure theres nothing out of the ordinary. I was so tired, I guess I missed everything because I woke up the next morning to blood spots in my bedsheets. 100% was not mine. I spoke with the guy I checked out with and he didnt seem surprised. So, I call to speak with a Manager, I spoke with Jenny. I explained my experience to her she began laughing and stated that shes heard about those sheets already, those sheets must be circulating around and they are just stained, Other complaints I mentioned, she just stated that theyre fixed, nothing else. I asked if there was anything that can be done? She asked for my name, when she pulled up my reservation she saw that I booked through Expedia, you could hear the excitement in her tone when she told me there is nothing she can do since I booked 3rd party. It was as though she was satisfied knowing that I wouldnt be getting anything from my bad stay. I would understand if I was rude, but I was not. Save $, stay at a 2 star b/c thats what this hotel is. Not impressed.
The only reason I am giving a star is because you have to. This is my first and will definitely be my last time to EVER stay in any La Quinta Inn & Suites. The first time my husband and I walked into the room we both instantly started gagging, the smell of cat urine hit us like a brick wall. We immediately turned around and walked out to go across the street to HomeDepot and buy febreze spray and wall plug ins. There was animal hair on our bed. And the room is in desperate need of a deep clean. I am totally disgusted. ALWAYS read the reviews!
Ive stayed here twice. The first time in May 2019 because Im a fan of La Quinta. The second Dec 2019 because I had no choice. I had my cat with me and La Quintas pet policy is awesome. Both times I stayed on the first floor at the very back of the hotel but in different rooms. One room was a one bedroom suite and the second had a bubbly bathtub in the room. Both times the room smelled moldy. If this problem still exists, please fix it. Im giving two stars because the first check in staff was really nice and the cleaning person was also really nice. However, the manager was obnoxious when I complained that my room had not been cleaned that day and I requested towels.
Only thing in whole place any good was bed. the pillows were to small and lumpy. the pool was filthy. the last nite we were there someone pulled the fire alarm at 1 am. no one came around and told as what was happing. we finally got some one to answer the phone downstairs. then was told only the fire department can shut it off. all well and good. they y shut it off and no one came checking in on the guests. bad safety system as far as iit goes. very disappointing.
For being a So called REMODELED HOTEL I was NOT impressed! There was MOLD in the bathroom and the paint was bubbling off of the wall. The paint job looks like it was done by a Teenager that didnt want to be there. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was ok. I should have taken pictures of the room so you could have seen it. My bad!
I would love to mention the name of the gentleman who checked me in but Ive bothered him enough and dont want to bother him again to get his name. I checked in at 3pm on 6/1. I had some key card issues...my fault...and he was very patient with me and polite. Lovely rooms and a large grass area for my dog.
Staff was friendly and helpful. I can’t speak to the other rooms but I had a room right by the elevator and fitness center. There was foot traffic all night and loud. AC didn’t work that well and carpet was frayed. Prices were higher than any La Quinta I have stayed. Nice big area to walk dogs behind hotel but filled with trash and people not picking up there poop.
Booked a king suit in January, got confirmation and a reconfirmation about my room March 8th. AFTER i checked in it turned out that i was given a one room with 2 double beds instead, very poor quality. When i raised it with the receptionist all she could say `there is nothing i can do`. those were the exact words she was using, not one single apology.the area had a dog show going on, i checked in in the evening when nothing else was available anymore and your hotel was aware of it, she mentioned it as well. so that was also misuse of power. i asked how i can escalate it, she said she has no idea...i sent an email to the central, no one ever bothered to answer. i have then seen today that they charged my credit card as well, as if they had fulfilled the original booking. i went to my bank and we are disputing the charges.
Have stayed there several times. Staff has always been friendly. This time was not up to par. Carpet was ripped. Coming up from under the threshold. Not a deal breaker. The room was smaller and no cable. TV was running on an antenna???? Very hard to find anything to watch. Deal breaker .. mostly Hispanic channels. Nothing wrong with that if I spoke Spanish. Will definitely ask about that before our spring trip. May have to try holiday inn.
Booked here until Friday. After leaving La quinta San Antonio I wasnt expecting much.Room is large and spacious.Everything was cleanHousekeeping cleaned the room this morning unlike in San Antonio were they tell you house keeping isnt allowed to enter room until after check out.Staff is friendly and attentive.Only complaint isnt the hotels fault. Found it difficult to find doordash or other delivery options. When your a trucker stuck some where because of a breakdown it can make things difficult.
Had terrific stay here. LOVED the remodel. Staff was so friendly and helpful. I left a piece of clothing and housekeeping was kind enough to turn it in. Candace Moore, the front desk clerk, went WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND to get it back in my possession. I was so impressed. My dad enjoyed the morning breakfast quite a bit. We had no issues with air conditioning in the room. Our room was cool even in the hot summer heat.
Positive: Location, rate Negative: I paid the same rate as everyone else in the hotel, but the TV in my room didn¿t work. Hotel staff said there was nothing they could do. I¿ m an IHG member, very disappointed. I usually stay at that hotel every year. Won¿t stay there again.
The staff members were very friendly and pleasant. Our room was very dark due to very dim light bulbs in lamps and a missing light bulb in the bathroom. Dark painted walls absorbed most of the low light, creating a drab and gloomy environment. I had to use the light on my phone to read! The floors in the entry way and in the bathroom were extremely slick. Both my husband and I were able to catch ourselves from near-disastrous falls when walking to the bathroom. This could be potentially dangerous for less agile guests.Again, the staff created a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Better lighting would make a world of difference.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms was very clean , and comfortable. We stopped after driving 12hours (still 5 hours from our home) we were exhausted and tired. We arrived a few hours before check in. However the staff person was wonderful and let us check into our room early, so we could sleep.
This hotel was filthy, we had two roomsAnd both were grungy and dirty. The first room had puke in the tub, second room was better but just overall dirty. Just FYI if you’re allergic to perfume or scents they spray the room down with a strong scent. Also no one was wearing a mask and it didn’t not feel covid safe.
I expected better. The rooms and hallways were dirty. We had a block of 4 rooms and had small roaches and spiders in each of the rooms. My tv had something sticky on the screen. TV service was horrible.Kept freezing up and pixelating. Nothing was wiped down. The staff was nice, but I wont be staying here again.
I dont know what the other reviewers are talking about. The customer service is excellent and the employees are very friendly but the quality of the rooms leaves much to be desired. Even though it looks good, it smells like someone shampooed the carpets and shut all the doors behind it for days. Very damp and dirty smelling. The surfaces of the lamps, handles, tables, etc. are sticky and dirty. There is also pet hair all over. I wont return
We had an executive suite with king bed, the room was nice, clean and large, smelled good, good design. Large counter in the bathroom. We were not able to go to the pool as it is open from 10am to 10pm and we arrived late and left early. We have stayed in La Quinta with 24 hrs pool before, it was very convenient. I like the La Quinta beds and pillows a lot. However looks like the walls in the building are very thin. Just after 6 am there were all sorts of noises, starting from alarm clocks from other rooms and singing in the showers, ending with loud TVs and endless slamming the doors. It was ridiculous. Hotel was booked that night and of course they are not responsible for peoples behavior, but maybe there is a way to improve sound isolation. Also the air conditioner was very loud.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Pictures of hotel are old and hotel is in need of update and repair. Room was clean when we arrived, but the next day when cleaned by housekeeping was dirty with trash left on floor, a jalapeño and open candy none of it ours) on floor. When I reported to front desk she didn’t seem surprised and said she would mention to lead housekeeper. Disgusting during this pandemic when cleanliness is important. So disappointed.
Use a different hotel instead. my experience was horrible at this place. room 307 is very dirty. I show to the customer service in the morning how the ceiling was . Behind our room there is a dum trash so noisy early in the morning. You can hear people talking from other rooms. I woke up several times that night because of the noise from the hallway. NO INTERNET whatsoever. CS answered me she can not controll the internet. She can not control also the truck came at 6 am to pick up the trash.
They are working on something there.... Not a bad hotel, however the Wi-Fi was horrible. It is a 3 story hotel and we were on the 2nd floor and couldnt connect. I had to go downstairs to the business area, which turned out to be 2 computers across from the front desk. No type of privacy at all, however the staff was friendly and welcoming so that was nice. Not a whole lot going on in the room, basic hotel furniture so it could stand to be updated. The one thing that is hard to come by in hotels for me is good water pressure in the shower and this one had GREAT water pressure. Due to a dated room and amenities I only gave them 3 stars over all....I wanted to give them 3.5 stars but I could only get 4 or 3 so I gave them the benefit of the extra star due to the friendly staff. Customer service means a lot to me and if you treat me nice I treat you right and we all have wonderful days. It was a little on the pricey side, I used Priceline and the deal really wasnt much of a deal. So if you want a decent place to spend the night check them out, not a whole lot of noise and there was some type of kids sporting event there but surprisingly quiet. Keep up the good work!
I booked the handicap suite. It was very spacious - not like those claustrophobic hotel rooms! I liked that I had a window I could open and let the fresh air in. There was even a spare blanket in the closet! Staff was super-helpful with correcting problems that were caused by Trivago. If you have a dog, there is a huge field behind the hotel, a definite plus! Easy accessibility to everything, but then, Kerrville is an easy town to get around in - nothing is ever more than 4 miles away!
Would have been better if the AC worked as advertised. Had to put it on 64 before you could feel well enough. The floor in the room had several humps or cords or ropes under the carpetBathroom clean.People that checked us in. Great.Gentleman that served breakfast was on his game.
Im not understanding the pillar in front of the guest door. This is not the staffs fault, this is an engineering fail. For the most part, the staff is extremely friendly. There were a few that I have encountered that acted as if either I didnt exist or they really would rather be anywhere else. I encountered 2 that openly complained to me about other guests, and I encountered 1 that had his feet propped up and was asleep (this was during the day, not at night). The hotel itself is relatively clean and odor free. This is surprising to me considering how pet friendly they are.The rooms are spacious enough for a family. The mattresses in the sofa bed need to be replaced. No fault to the hotel, but quiet isnt something I enjoyed. There was constantly doors slamming, kids running and yelling up and down the hallway, and dogs barking. I have children and a dog. I dont mind the noise, but Id prefer it not to be happening at 2 am.The breakfast area is clean with a variety for coffee choices. The breakfast is hot and well tended to. The only negative that I would give the breakfast is the same everyday. I have been staying here off and on for 2 weeks now and it has been the same everyday. Sausage, cubed potatoes with too much pepper, and scrambled eggs. I appreciate that its fresh and hot, it just gets a little old. I dont know if thats what La Quinta sends them or if thats what they choose.Overall, I give 4 stars.
Oh boy. This property continues to disappoint. Im an 10-year Elite Returns member and expect more from an Inns and Suites property. Even after indicating Id be checking in late, nothing was ready for my arrival. The in-room fridge was turned off. The room A/C was set on 80 degrees and it took about 2 hours to drop the inside temperature down to 72. Another hour to get to 68 (I prefer cool rooms). They had written No show on the check-in slip and had written me off even though the room was guaranteed with a card and had indicated Id be in later that evening. The bathroom was clean, but the towels had a number of long, black hairs imbedded in them. Torn and dirty carpet in the entry of the room was also easily noticeable (and could have been easily remedied by management). The day manager was a nice guy who understood my concerns. He issued a credit as a goodwill gesture. Second time Ive been unsatisfied at this location. I wont go back for a third.
Room was FILTHY (see photos) and staff was deplorable, housekeeper straight confronted me when I brought up the issues. MAJOR safety and security concerns stemming from issuing keys without ID to my room door not shutting.Breakfast was a joke and the indoor pool was freezing (indoor typically means heated).GM was very defensive and I had to ask for a simple apology. Staff doesnt wear name tags so you cant identify them, and they like to have lunches in the lobby and ignore the desk and any guests that need help.Stay very very far away from this place, La Quinta had been heading downhill since Wyndham took over, hopefully they can recover.
Nice room for the most part. Very clean spacious and comfortable. Staff is very friendly. My only gripe is like all LaQuintas theyre pet friendly and while I love my pets some people arent very responsible or respectful with theirs. Other than that it isnt anything that would keep me from staying again.
Staff gave my room key out to an ex after I was clear not to allow anyone access without my ID and myself. They also billed me another night and another room based on his word and never clearing it with me. Security and privacy major let down. Managment did nothing but Bill me
Great clean room, front desk gentleman was very helpful over the phone and when we arrived. Fairly thick walls and a great big field behind the parking lot where I was able to walk our dogs at night/in the morning.Would have given five stars, however the ac controller on the wall has led lights that light up the entire room and dont turn off unless you turn the actual ac unit off (which wasnt an option since it was so hot). We ended up using a t-shirt to cover up but it was hard to get it to stay. I normally wouldnt nit-pick about something like this, but it was SO bright!Overall we had a great stay and will definitely use this la quinta again.
We rented this hotel because it has an indoor pool and breakfast were here right now and they have neither. If its not available it shouldnt be offered. bait and switch. the carpets messed up with Spikes sticking up out of the floor I stepped on a piece of wire this morning in the carpet to stab me in the foot the maids leave all of the towels outside of your door every evening. Theres a reason its a 2 star hotel. Leaving now.
The staff was helpful and courteous. I booked a 2 bedroom, King suite online but ended up in a room other than the one I needed. The night auditor was quick to make the necessary adjustments and was very kind in doing so. Out of all the other La Quintas I have stayed in (several!) this one had the MOST CONSIDERATE housekeepers. In my past experience with other locations, housekeeping has disregarded privacy requests as well as beat on the door to get someones attention. Not here. They tap on the door and announce themselves. When I couldnt get to them quickly, they left and came back later to ensure I had everything I needed. I greatly appreciated their consideration given that I had a toddler with me who was typically lying down for nap around the time they would come to service the room. I booked for 2 nights but ended up staying 4. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that the carpets were really gross. They were very sticky and made my daughters feet extremely black within a matter of minutes of walking around barefoot. The indoor pool was always clean and the overall stay was pleasant. I would stay again by myself but would most likely wouldnt if my child were with me as I cannot keep shoes on the kid and she rolled all over the floor! Yuck. Hopefully management will rotate carpet cleaning throughout the hotel in an effort to keep up with traffic.
We stayed at the La Quinta this past weekend for two nights, and liked it enough. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was better than expected. There was plenty of parking, and the staff was friendly. It only gets 3 stars for a couple reasons, one - dogs. Its nice that the hotel is pet friendly, Ive needed to take advantage of that at hotels before. But it seemed like everyone in this hotel had 1 or 2 dogs with them. Which is fine except we were woken up several times, both nights, by barking dogs. They need to keep their pet friendly rooms on a single floor or something. The other issue was the water pressure in the shower. Im not a picky person, but it took ages to shower because I just couldnt get the soap out of my hair, it was barely a trickle of warm water.Third was the heater/cooler was only blowing out cold air. It was chilly this weekend and I would have appreciated some heat.We would stay here again, but Id definitely see if there was anything else available first.
King suite was a nice size. The kids said the fold out couch was extremely uncomfortable. They enjoyed the fitness room and pool. Im not a huge fan of indoor pools, but on the positive we didnt need to worry about sunscreen. Breakfast was a little bland but better than nothing.
Stayed with a group and needed 3 rooms, double beds, close together and they had no problem meeting our request. The rooms were clean and there were plenty of outlets for everyone to charge all our phones and cameras. Front desk also recommended several excellent places for us to eat.
I have stayed at this hotel two times and I have to say that this is probably one of the cleanest La Quinta Inns that I have stayed at! Their breakfast food is pretty good, my favorite is the waffle maker, and they staff was always so friendly. My only complaint is that whenever I try to make a reservation it is always so complicated because sometimes they transfer me to a La Quinta hub without telling me so I just assumed that when I was transferred that it is within that hotel, just watch out for that.
Front desk associate was not welcoming in the slightest. More concerned with answering phone calls than assisting a live customer. Rooms are dark and the beds are not comfortable. Only plus side to this hotel is that they allow pets. Had to end up staying an extra day and cancelled my reservation with LaQuinta and booked it with Hampton Inn and was very glad that I did! Both rooms cost the same but the Hampton offered bigger, brighter, fresher smelling rooms and an excellent breakfast.
A decent hotel in the middle of nowhere. All the amenities youd expect and easy access to I-10. During our stays we found it to be a quiet place and didnt notice the banging doors, loud hallway conversations, or heavy foot steps you usually find in hotels. Friendly, helpful staff and of course pet friendly with a large field adjacent to the hotel where you can exercise and potty your dogs.
Nice location, close enough to Fredericksburg. Staff was efficient and professional, although not particularly friendly either. The room was cleaned very thoroughly. One minor annoyance was that there was no tv channel list in the room and we couldnt figure out how to access the guide. Breakfast was somewhat disappointing compared to other La Quintas, but sufficient nonetheless, we skipped breakfast the second day. I was very pleased with the quality of the room for the price. Kerrville is a beautiful city.
The location was great, right off of Highway 16. The room itself was less than desirable. It sounded like we had a water feature in our room all night long, and when we first entered the room was really musty. They had just painted and the paint job was really bad, but that is just aesthetics.
The room was filthy and in desperate need of an update. We had to ask to be moved twice due to issues with the rooms. I have stayed at many la quintas and this was by far the worst. The only good thing about this location is the staff. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and helpful.
Aleta, the front desk clerk made sure our stay was extremely unpleasant from the moment I checked in with my pets, he first comment was you cannot leave your dogs alone I am a responsible dog owner and In the 10 years of staying at LQ throughout the country with my pets this was the first time I was told I had to stay with my dogs. I always make sure to come in and out of my stays and check on them and take them outside. She called me twenty minutes of me leaving that my dogs were barking for over twenty minutes, I make sure I tell her Im headed back to the room and when we arrived the dogs were not barking. The next day same thing, a dog next to our room was barking and my wife called the front desk to make sure she let them know if they heard barking it wasnt our dogs, Aleta said that they had just checked in and that dog wasnt there the night before. My wife asked why when she called she hung up she said the call wasnt going through, but she claimed she called both numbers I left. She laughed at my wife when she told her she wanted them to know it wasnt our dogs thistime. Twenty minutes after she called the following day she called again, as we were rushing.back to get to the room she wanted to make sure we were comingWe literally drove way passed the speed limit afraid she would call animal control. And wife made sure to tell her that we were rushing back but if something happened to us because she was rushing us, it would be her fault she just hung up on my wife. As we are walking in to the hotel we see a man pacing in front of our room and Aleta pacing from the front desk across the hall where she could clearly see our door and when the man realizes it is our room he walks off to the front and Aleta back to the front desk. Our dogs were not barking, normally.if they are barking you can hear them from afar. I am not saying my dogs dont bark but they will bark.if someone is near the door or they hear loud noises. Pet owners beware, I do not know if it was an isolated incident or if she just did not like me and my family.
Zero parking, semis and motor homes took up all the back parking lot. Someone tried to break in our room. Transient was being run out of the front door when we areived. Next morning we couldnt open the door because the door flash had been bent and broken from the outside. I finally had to use a knife to pry it open. We were there to pick up my daughter from camp....
MANY THANKS TO THE STAFF & MANAGEMENT WHO ASSISTED MY MOM AND AUNT WHO STAYED THERE FOR THE PSJA CLASS REUNION.THEY WENT ALL OUT TO HELP WITH THE LUGGAGE AND OFFERING TO HELP WITH I PHONE PROGRAMMING !IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM IT WAS QUICKLY CORRECTED .THANKS AGAIND.LAYER

2022-04-12The person at reception was incredibly nice; they were so approachable and helpful. We only stayed for a night, but the rooms were nice and clean. Our parents room smelled a bit like a dog, so thats why a 4/5 stars. The pool itself was a bit dirty, not super, and warm. The breakfast was pretty good; they had the typical cereal, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, muffins, toast, coffee, and juice. If anything, their backdoor wasnt closed, which made us feel uneasy.

2022-02-01Positive: The room was generally comfortable, the receptionist was friendly and thorough, and we especially liked the indoor pool/hot tub, which is the primary reason we chose the location. Breakfast quality and choices were okay. Negative: Room furnishings were a bit dated...not enough USB ports for devices. No wash cloths included in the linens.

2022-02-24We enjoyed our stay. The room was nice and the front desk staff was really nice and helpful. We loved the no pet fee. I would recommend staying here. Only complaint would be that the pool didnt look the cleanest.

2022-06-16Look, when reviewing hotels I dont know what other people are expecting but I keep my expectations realistic. This hotel is exactly what I expect plus a little more. The breakfast is pretty good, the rooms are generally quiet and are clean, the beds are comfy to me, the pool is a nice place to chill, the gym is a bit small but does the job. Its a hotel room and I expect a hotel room, not a Bora Bora luxury resort bungalow. You pay for La Quinta youre gonna get La Quinta.

2022-04-08Wyndham Corporate cleared up an issue with the Accessibility along with GM of the Kerville La Quinta. Wyndham Corporate really cares about their guests. At the La Quinta the people are kind like Marilyn who originally booked my room, or the house keeper who gave us extra towels and coffee or the breakfast staff who gave me clear wrap for potato salad we were taking to the reunion. The bed was clean and comfortable as I have always experienced from La Quinta in the past.

2022-04-09After staying in this filth of a hotel in my opinion it personally doesn’t deserve one star. It has to be hands down the nastiest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Bathroom door nob was hanging off the door and bathroom in general was nasty, floors was disgusting, top it all of was stuck in the elevator for at least five minutes without any help from workers, Front desk attendance are very rude. Was charged almost $1000 just for a double room and told that the manager isn’t going to be in until the next day and they can give a time. All around the Management is horrible, workers there is rude, and the hotel is disgusting. I’ll never stay at a La Quinta again after this!!

2022-05-24Very nice hotel and terrific staff. Our ONLY small disappointment was that the hot tub jets have little power. We enjoyed our stay and the room was quite comfortable.

2022-04-10The housekeepers, FOH staff etc. have been extremely friendly. That said, I am on SHORT TERM disability and waited until the next businesses day.I believe there was an error with my res. due to a security breach; however, I am currently off private property and to the BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE have not broken any laws.At the time of this writing, I am currently sitting outside without my belongings.Out of respect to ALL parties involved, I am writing this review with three stars so that I may attempt to have the situation rectified in person. Once the situation is resolved, I would be more than happy to adjust my review to five stars or seven if the system would allow it.Thank you kindlyAll the Best,Asher Rexell Kemper

2022-05-23Positive: The location. Negative: The elevator was out of service when we arrived. The beds were comfortable but the bedding was a bit thread bare. The rooms need to be updated. The A/C would not cool the room.
