Hey Guys!!We came here for two nights Sept 4 to 6th. We booked cabins. They are very good with AC. Nice living area with table and sofa set. In kitchen their is stove & fridge . In our room there were two beds. Washroom is not to big not to small. They have many spots in the park. My best spot were picnic area and camping site with RV. We did BBQ. I saw so many dears.
This is a wonderful park, and generally not very crowded. It is a bit remote and that makes it special. The park has so many wonderful CCC structures and many great places to stay overnight. There are several lodges, many cabins, RV spots (some full hookups) and of course tent sites. The Lake is small but very clean and fresh. There is a nice large beach area and the bathrooms are super clean.
Showers! Quiet. Free fishing. Totally worth the very reasonable price. Were putting it on the list of places to revisit. If you want easy access to the water, choose one of the lower sites. Council Bluffs is a rocky climb down to the rocky shore. The fishing was good there though.
This is one of the nicest park weve been so far. Clean and well kept, we didnt have any problems with flies or mosquitoes. We stayed at the full hookup side and watched the beautiful sunset. The lake is beautiful, the dogs can swim in the lake but they have to be stay outside of the boise, we asked this at the Headquarters. We be back.
Fun trail to see CCC footprintsThe park is nice and cozy, not that big but big enough for a day or two.I would highly recommend hiking along the trail by the lake. The CCC constructions, stand the test of time, dot along the trail and makes one marvel at just how people in the 30s did all this. The park is peaceful especially by the water.Happy travels
Park personnel are super nice. Beautiful lake thats really large & apparently great to fish. Lots of hiking trails and a couple of different fishing piers. The only disappointments were that we didnt see much wildlife (just a couple of armadillos & a lot of Cardinals) and there arent a lot of shade trees for most of the RV spaces.
Nice campground with great waterfront views, shade and not too crowded during the week. Four star rating is due to the showers. In one bath house (near sight 10) the shower heads sprayed sideways rather than down, so turning on the water to adjust the temperature soaked me before I was ready to get wet. Night two change of venue (near site 22) had a great showerhead but freezing cold water. Ahem....showers are an important part of #vanlife.
We pulled our camper here for the first time for a family reunion. The lake was beautiful as was the area we set up camp. The rec center that was rented out was quite an amazing building. Overall, I would definitely go back to this area for a quick get away or for another family reunion. My one and only critique would be that the trails were not marked very well so it was a bit confusing to figure out which way to follow. However, the wildflowers completely made the hike worth while.
The park was beautiful. There is lots to do, even in the cool months, like hiking and fishing. Several of their camping sites have full hook ups and that is great. The folks in the office were crazy friendly and helpful, like way above the call of duty. That is very much appreciated. The only thing I didnt like was that they left a tree standing at my site and due to how close it was to the parking pad I couldnt extend my awning. That was especially unfortunate because of the light rain the first day I was there. Not a deal breaker, but I wont choose that site again.
Great park! Plenty of places to camp in tents or trailers. Many places to swim or fish. Nice hiking and bike trails. Trail marking could be better for which trails you are on and the scenic spots on the trails. It seems like there is a lot of unmarked trails. Plenty of pubic spots and beautiful oak trees to sit under. Public rest rooms and pets on a leash. Other than a little confusion on trails we had a great time.
Lake Brownwood is a pretty area and the spots around the lake had lots of people there grilling and hanging out. I took the Nopales Ridge Trail and was glad because there was no one around. It was a good hike. The Texas Oak Trail does not seem to be used much as the grass and trees were growing across the path. Going to Lake Brownwood made me wish I had a boat!
The rec center was great for a one day family reunion. Not only did we have enough ac at the beginning of the summer for at least 60 people but there were more than enough tables and chairs for everyone and their kids. There were 2 stovetop ovens, a large cooler and a fridge. The rental time was all the way til 10pm.
Beautiful park with a large lake. We stayed in stone cabins with a great view of the lake. The cabin we had comprised a bedroom with two large beds, a full kitchen (no microwave) and a living room with a working fireplace and a small dining table. Wood is available at the camp office. Bring everything you need except the cabins had a small coffee pot, bed linens and shampoo. Also outside was a grill, a picnic table, a fire ring and wooden chairs (for 3). We had a friendly sheep for a couple of days and lots of birds (for December). There also are some nice hiking trails and lake access. Come to enjoy yourself. We did!
We were in Brownwood for a few days. While there decided to get some hiking in. Found a trail on Lake Brownwood, and off we went. Beautiful area, trail was rougher to follow in some areas than expected, but was actually a bonus in the fun department. Found some clearings that opened up to the lake, those made the day. After all said and done, ended at a campground covered area with benches to sit and eat lunch. Clean, well kept, just nice all around. If we make it back here, we will checking out Lake Brownwood some more.
Lake Brownwood State Park is a good park. The park rangers are helpful and friendly. The campgrounds are decent. West Texas scenery, in general, is unremarkable and this is no different. Lots of mesquite trees and brown grass. Thankfully there is some oak trees mixed in. Access to the lake is the best part. There are several great places for family gatherings and picnics. Fishing off the dock for crappie was excellent. The campsites were level and generously sized. However, the sites weren’t mowed and there was grass almost a foot tall. The restrooms were clean. If you enjoy fishing this is a nice campground.
Pretty lake and the sites are relatively clean, the bathroom shower areas could use some help. The showers were visibly dirty with stains on the shower curtains. I realize this next part could be the guest and not the park but everyone seemed to have little to no camping etiquette. People cut through our camp sites the whole weekend without asking or saying anything. Even had some people take over our picnic table for a bit feet from our camper. I hope that was just this weekend but I have a feeling that just might be how they are here. So if you are looking for privacy and well mannered campers you might be aware you might not find it here.We will prob return cause we like the lake just might adjust where we stay and our expectations on people being courteous.
Great place to vacation and camp. The check in staff very friendly. The cabins were awesome and we had the lake side view which was picture perfect. Fishing was great with lots of perch and crappie. My grandkids enjoyed themselves. We will definitely be back. The 5.5 hour drive was will worth it..Highly recommended. Go get you CABIN!!
Nice little park for friends to camp together. Not rugged at all. Lots of room for tents, sites are not really marked off. Paved level parking lots. Trash receptacles. Only problem we had were fishermen using the cleaning station late at night illegally, no park access permit. Were using electric knives keeping everyone up, they were rude
One of our favorite parks to come camp at. RV hookups are available and they have a dump station. Park is kept very clean. Park staff makes signing in super easy. Make sure to have your license plate info ready when you sign in. Some of the areas need a little upgrade, but it is a very family friendly park.
Clean park and showers, everyone was so friendly. The only biking trail Napoles Ridge was fun, partly shaded & a small portion was rocky and uphill that our 8 and 11 yr old boys walked. My side of the lake was super windy but we went to the fishing dock, nobody had any bites but it was a gorgeous sunset. Walked a few different trails there were many cool finds.
Pros - Had a great time.Stayed in the willow point section. Easy walking distances to hiking trails, fishing pier, and lake swimming site. One (1) updated restroom with private showering rooms.Cons - One (1) showering and restroom bldg. felt and unclean and not much privacy other than a shower curtain.Other than that, we would recommend as great get-a-away.
Visited June 2021Campgrounds were well kept. Bathrooms were clean. Staff were very helpful. The lake is beautiful. Its like Inks Lake State Park only not as busy.My family and I stayed for a week in a travel trailer. We went hiking, kayaking, and fishing. During the day we kept hearing what we thought were owls. A park host informed us that it was white wing dove. That was pretty cool. There are a couple of items of note. We were in campsite #76 in the Council Bluff camping area. That campsite and a few others in the loop have very little room in front of the travel trailer. However that campsite worked out since the travel trailer provided plenty of shade in the afternoon. The other item of note is that some of the trails are not maintained as well as other trails. So be prepared for grasses growing in the trail path. The park is about an hour away from Abilene. We visited the Abilene Zoo, Abilene State Park and historic Fort Phantom Hill in a single day. Im sure there are many other things to do in Abilene, but that was all we could do in a day.Overall it was an excellent place to spend our vacation!
Stayed in Cabin #6 for two nights. The view of lake was beautiful from our back patio. The cabin was nice and clean but be sure you read the amenities prior to going, not much to offer besides a refrigerator and electric stove for kitchen use.. no silverware, no pots and pans or dishes. We knew this by reading the website but it was bare to say the least. Note that we found a scorpion in the cabin so keep an eye out. Great time and would go again for sure!
This park is very misleading. My wife and I decided to go because of the long hiking trails by the lake. We ended up making circles on the first trail because the trail is not properly marked and it’s so grown up with weeds that you cannot distinguish what’s a trail or a cow track. I called the park attendant and she acted like she didn’t care. She also stated that the trails aren’t maintained because they are short staffed. Yet, when I went to the office there were five employees just standing around. They also do not sell bottled water at the office so if you DO go, be sure to take your own. I would say the hiking trails are dangerous at this point due to being hard to see and because of the possibility of overlooking snakes. The trails are not properly marked with distance markers and there are no arrows to point you in the right direction. This is confusing because there are additional man made trails and game trails. The only pros to this park are the scenic overlook places at the lake and the fact that the day pass is only 5 dollars. If there is a closer State Park, go to that one and pass this one up.
Our first trip to Lake Brownwood and were delighted with Cabin #1, a quaint rock CCC cabin built in the 1930s. The outdoor area had a picnic table, grill and fire pit along with two comfortable chairs overlooking a beautiful view of the lake from a bluff. There is a rock path down to the water for fishing or swimming.
A large park with many options for lodging from cabins, screened shelters, tent sites, electric & water sites to full hookups with sewer. Multiple boat launching places, many day use picnic spots, and lots of Geocaches. It is a historic CCC built park with many of the original features. However, the RV sites are narrow and many are not level. We enjoyed our time here but the site was so narrow our slides touched trees on both sides and the fire ring was so close to the RV that our bedroom side was actually over the fire spot. Obviously we couldnt use it without burning down our coach. Because it is a popular park, reservations are required so the ability to see a site first or ask a ranger is not practical.
I went to use the boat ramp. Good ramps. Just like all business, they have increased the prices to get in. $6.00 each person. How can a family afford to go very often. If you go camping and spend 3 nights, $6.00 each if you stay. Senior can get a pass for half price entries.
Nice state park. One section has full hook-ups (50A) but those sites are somewhat closely spaced and farthest from the lake. We chose the loop along the water that had 50A electric & water. The dump station was there in the loop and a short distance away; very close and easily accessible using our portable septic tote. We were there for a week in a 5th wheel.
It was a wonderful lodge camp to our family. I definitely recommend to stay here for couple of days at lodge or cabin. It was so convenient for us because it had almost all of the home appliances as well as bedding.Ther are a lot of kids and family friendly trails in here and also you can spend the time just looking at gorgeous lake or fishing.
This place is a joke. I had 2 family members camping there in an RV. Theyre an elderly couple. My mom, who is also elderly, and I drive 30 miles to the state park to go pick up our family members to bring them into town to visit. The family members let the employees at the gate know that we were just coming to pick them up and leave. When we got there we told them the same thing. They still charged us for day passes and we werent there 10 minutes. Ridiculous.
We just about gave up on Texas State Parks, no maintenance, or repairs, then we tried Brownwood, well maintained, sure things are old but if you repair whats broken and put a fresh coat of paint on them they look pretty darn good. They may be in a dead zone for cell service, but if you are internet savy you will find there is a free wifi out there. Wonder why they never mentioned that? They have beautiful cabins all along the bluff, every one had a stone fireplace!
Older park thats showing its age. Most camping sites are small or geared more towards tent camping. Most of the rv sites were a bit tight, but having dogs we prefer more distance or foliage breaks between sites. Lean-tos and cabins. Didnt have a chance to look at the cabins but the out sides were large & stone sided.
My family had a great weekend at Lake Brownwood State Park! We really enjoyed the RV site which was spacious and had plenty of amenities. It was a lot of fun swimming and fishing and hiking. I would recommend this state park to anyone looking for a peaceful weekend getaway.
Nice state park with lots of facilities. RV site we used was full hookup and paved with asphalt. They are on the small side better suited to bumper pulls vs 5th wheels. There are several cabins available for rent as well as a few lodges and an event center. Some of the trails are slightly overgrown but still passable with some great scenic views of the lake. There is a boat ramp on the lake and a fishing pier with a nice fish cleaning station nearby.
We only did a day trip. We walked the Texas Oak Trail and not much to see but brush. I would have given it a four had wed been able to view the lake. We did not stay at a cabin but did do some scouting and its the reason for giving a three. We are excited about coming back to stay during the fall and seeing the rest of the park. Perhaps then I can give a higher rating.
First time here -- very nice. Class A + tow. Stayed in the FHU Council Bluffs loop -- good depth but some sites are very sloped -- bring extra jack pads, etc. Willow Point loops -- very level, but the review below is accurate that many sites oddly have the picnic table & fire pit on the hook-up side (left side) -- apparently constructed that way for tent camping before electric/water was added for RVs. The Comanche Trails loop was also level but smaller rigs only. Will return. AT&T 4G 3-bars.
This park has so much potential! Its pretty and one of the campgrounds, Comanche, has a lot of nice shade trees (the other has none). Whats wrong: the sites dont have trash poles (Ive not experienced that before) or water rings w/rocks under the spigots. Also, in the 10 days we camped there the bathrooms at the lake house were often dirty and had no toilet paper, soap, or hand sanitizer. Additionally, the Comanche side bathrooms were shut down and the 6 port-a-pottys were not enough, really dirty, and only sucked out once a week on Tuesdays.
Quiet, secluded, and clean cabins. Complete with a/c-heater, fire place, stoveand fridge. Outdoor fire ring and Bbq pit. Secure locking door included. A beautiful view of Lake Brownwood. Moon reflecting off the lake only adds to the ambience of the experience. Highly recommend it for your getaways.
I would recommend Brownwood State Park , because the park area ( the picnic tables and bbq area) was nice and clean and no grass burrs. The restrooms were nice and clean and fully stocked. Go out there and enjoy the fun there and the beach area. To the Park Rangers yall are doing a good job and I want to tell yall keep it up. God Bless Yall.
Great summer spot. Just do NOT rent the 16 person cabin. They do not provide linens on the beds & the AC was broken yet they still tried to let us stay there. They do not tell you prior to your visit that you need your own bed linens & their website does not provide inside pictures of this specific cabin (you can guess why.) They charge $350 per night btw 😵 no toilet paper in the public restrooms all weekend, public trash cans were not emptied all weekend. Most of the boat slips were not cushioned or padded in any way which can definitely cause damage to your boat. Besides scrambling to find hotel rooms for 16 people and the above i mentioned its a great lake for water activities.
Nice big camping sites. Several of the bathrooms had portipotties set up, not sure if the local septic system is broken or renovations are happening soon, but was a disappointment. And worst experience was trying to get to sleep after sunset - Unfortunately a local business right next to the camping area was having a loud concert starting at 8pm, played for hours. No warning from the park a local marina venue kills the whole nature feel.
Unfortunately on our recent stay the lake is at an all time low so the water was on the warm side and the lake bottom was super soft when trying to walk out. However the park itself is very nice. We stayed in one of the cabins for the weekend and it was very cozy and accommodating. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. It is super convenient that they sell ice at the gate. The cabins are air conditioned with pretty comfortable beds. Kitchens and Bathrooms are small and dated....but this is camping....or better yet glamping. We will be back!
The Sandy shoreline and Beach area is very good . Picnic tables are very well covered by oak trees which leaves a lot of shade. Swimming areas slowly tapers off with no abrupt drop offs. Swimming area is also protected by several buoys. That tell the boaters not the inner the swimming area. Parking area is close by right up the little Hill as well as women and mens bathroom and shower
Absolutely beautiful!! I am from california, this was our first time staying here. The park Rangers were very friendly and helped us out after hours. Lots and lots of hiking trails. The lake is very clean and nice, so is the rest of the park. We are definitely coming back!!!
We came to Brownwood for our anniversary trip and decided to Jet Ski and float on the lake. Plenty of areas and places to set up camp and have a picnic as well. We will be back. It is a sight for sore eyes seeing as how we are from Midland where we have no comparable lake nearby. A must for water sports.
Ive gone here every November for several years to stay in one of the 2-person cabins. I love it. Ive had a few mishaps. My friend had a mouse in her cabin one year, have had to escort out a few spiders and scorpions, and we had a bit of a gray water back up in the shower one year. But its rustic and so you expect a few things like this. The staff was very fast to come in and fix the shower issue while we went on a morning hike--so it was handled quickly and well. I recommend reservations, though, because one year they winterized a number of cabins, for example. Just some realistic expectations and common sense planning make it a fun stay. Great hikes, pretty lake, super well outfitted CCC cabins (compared to any park around) that are very private. Guests have always had a great time as well. Wildlife use the cabin trails, so I have almost always seen deer, fox, raccoon, even skunk and ever-elusive armadillos. A few years have seen wild turkey. :D
Its a very nice park good for camping, hiking and fishing. They have regular camp sites and screen enclosures. They have a day area. Within 10 to 15 minutes from Brownwood. You can going biking. They also have a place for RVS. They have both camp sites with water and electric and without. You will have a lot of fun enjoying the day or camping a little longer.
Lake Brownwood was absolutely wonderful. The water was clean and inviting. We had fun on a boat for most of the day but also got two enjoy one of the beaches and recreation areas. The on the real difficulty was that there is no place to purchase drinks or food if need be. For that to have to drive out of the park. The police officers Patrol the lake regularly and ensure that everyone is complying with all applicable laws.
Napoleon Mountain Bike Trail : 85% easy flat trail winding through trees. 15% intermediate trail riding up a ridge with some large rocks, but definitely easy to hop off the bike and hop back on to go over them. Definitely, give it a try and have fun with the family or friends.
Friendly staff, nice facilities but not well maintained. High grass, everywhere. The campsites around the fishing pier are overrun with fire ant mounds. $4 per person is too much for day use. This park was maintained much better when the entry fee was $2. Disappointed.
Love this place. Nice camps sites cabins and trailer areas. Park rangers are very helpful and friendly. Park is kept very well maintained by mgmt. Hicking trails along side river is amazing. It you camp there you will love the sunrise and sunset by your camp site dont have to go far to see that. Boat rental is also avaialable and you can cruise on the river for hours fishing or tubingGood for family and friends. Definately recommended for nice family and friends recreational activities
Rangers were nice when we arrived and helped my gf and I pick the beat cabin that was secluded and close to the lake to fish. I wish I had pictures because the cabin was very clean and nice but I broke that old phone and lost most of those pictures. We stayed two nights and both nights we could hear bobcats crying, one even came close when we were fishing late at night on the first day. Id definitely stay here again. The cabin was cheap and we caught 4 small bass and a good size long nose gar.
My experience at this park was not so good. As soon as we checked in and got to our site one of the tires on our trailer was going flat looked like a nail hole. If you have a fifth wheel over 40 Foot it would not be advised to stay at this park the sites are so narrow and uneven that its hard to manuver and get your trailer level. As we drove around the park we couldnt believe what we were seeing trailer after trailer squeezed in beside each other, unbelievable. I thought this park was so nice several years ago, it sure has changed. We wont be back.
If you dont have a boat/dont REALLY like to fish maybe skip it. Were trying to branch out from the parks most local to us so this was a relatively long drive. The kids loved swimming (its super muddy, but they had fun) but there were not many trails/not well marked trails, no canoes to rent (the building for that was abandoned? It was locked and falling apart), no nature center or events, and no cell phone service AT ALL, like nothing (I have Verizon). I had not researched ahead of time what else might be in the area and regretted that severely since I had no phone access to do it there. We ended up doing nothing but swimming and lazing around in hammocks, which was okay, but not sure it was worth the drive.
Excellent facilities. Tidy, shady campsites. Plenty of lake for swimming and fishing. Multiple fishing piers and floating piers. The nearly 3-Mile Nopales loop trail is challenging and worth doing for a look at the local flora and fauna. Just watch out for the little black ants that are everywhere.
This campground is lovely, the facilities are clean, and the staff helpful. Weve camped before without incident. However, please be warned that as of this review, some areas of the park have Crazy Tawny ants, an invasive species that will get into EVERYTHING. If youre camping, its worth bringing insect repellant to put or spray around your tires, power cords, tent, etc. to keep them out of your living space.Well camp there again but will arrive better armed.
Cabin 3 had mouse poo everywhere. When returning my cabin key two park headquarter workers were not polite didn’t say thank you and never put the mask around their necks on their face (defeats the purpose) I do hope I don’t contract the coronavirus from your facility as it was the only place in brown wood I stopped into where the employees did not wear mask.Mc Donald’s mask ✅Walmart mask ✅Brown wood state park ❌I’m still waiting for my deposit to post back to my account days later....Please clean the rat poo in cabin 3 before your next guest visit. Also cabin 3 does not have a fire ring which website doesn’t state. Trails namely “lake trail” was not accessible due to overgrown vegetation and high amounts of poison oak. Not a great place for hiking due to park upkeep.
Brownwood lake is a nice State Park not only because I live here. I am originally from Corpus Christi Texas where are you people no that we got South Padre Island but the lake seems more, more peaceful the park is clean and the people around the park area convenience stores Corinas restaurant Big Gs grocery store a very kind and generous to everyone whether youre from around here or out of state or just visiting I give it a 4-star rating and I invite you and encourage shot to make plans to come see Brownwood Lake.
Large, full-service state park on the western shore of Lake Brownwood. Multiple camping areas of all types, large screen shelter area near the water, and almost 20 cabins scattered throughout the park. Usual lake park amenities, i.e. boat ramps, etc. and several day-use areas. A number of overnight buildings for groups of different sizes and a beautiful cliff-side dining hall that is a masterpiece of the CCC era of park building. Lake levels can fluctuate greatly--so be advised.

2022-02-19Another Tx State park down and plenty more to go😎. It was a windy & cold day but still enjoyed my visit. Good trails, clean restrooms, boat ramp, camping. Offers more than what I expected always a plus.

2022-03-27Came here on a weekend camping trip and it was great! Beautiful scenery, EXTREMELY clean bathrooms with showers. The camping, picnic, swimming, and fishing areas were all very well maintained and very clean. The park has very nice trails to go hiking/walking and a very beautiful large swimming beach. It was probably the best park Ive been to, but then again, I havent gone to many. I definitely want to come back to visit again. It was a great experience.(Burn Ban was in effect so we could only use propane gas to cook - no charcoal or wood burning - and we didnt get to make smores, but the sites did have fire pits, which were real nice.)

2022-01-06Where to begin?! The staff is AMAZING. Cannot thank them enough for their kindness and hospitality. Very warm and welcome feeling as soon as we got into the park at check in. Our tent only campsite is gorgeous. The scenery and sunsets alone is worth the visit.. the kids loved the open areas that are spikey free and go right up to the water. It’s too cold so we didn’t swim, but we fished and enjoyed the water all the same. We stayed at a tent only electric site on our last visit and that was very nice as well. The history of the park is really neat to learn and teach your kids or educate yourself on. Lots of stone structures were built by he CCC here that you can still enjoy today. They have really nice cabins as well as lodges, screen shelters, electric hook up sites, and water only sites. we stayed at an electric holy tent Site with water our first visit and a primitive site our second visit. My only complaint would be that their showers ran really really hot and then went cold after about five minutes.. but i think that met by a temporary hiccup?Painted sunsets and rainbow lake 💕 it’s stunning. We stayed here 6 days this visit, and could not have been happier with our visit. Thank you, Lake Brownwood SP staff and volunteers!

2022-04-30Camping was nice. Our site parking was a little unlevel. The front gate rangers were very nice, check-in was super easy. The site is large, in our loop we face into a large open area that was fun to look in at night. The lake is beautiful. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring.

2022-04-04We spent a night there on the tail end of a 3 week 3,100 mile roadtrip from east of Dallas to several state and National parks, ending in Joshua Tree National Park, western California. $6.75 gas!We spend the night at Lake Brownwood State Park on the way home, and it made us gasp! The Park is large with several rv campgrounds and numerous cabins. And, the most awesome, ccc era construction, including a great hall on the lake shore. Available for weddings etc.Just amazing stone and rock work by the CCC workers in the 30s.All the amenities seem neat and clean.Staff told me some families have had annual reunions there for 50 years. The campground we stayed in was a WWII recreation area for military troops. Some 60,000 troops recreated there during the war.Admittedly, it was end of March, after spring break, and nearly empty.Summer is likely a tourist nightmare. We will definitely go back. 5 stars!

2022-04-01Beautiful State Park! Campsites right on the water, enforced quiet hours and very unique, moderate and fun hiking trails! Lots of history, too.

2021-10-26The park is well maintained. We called at one of the sheltered sites but still use a tent as we had our dogs with us. The soirees all face the lake with a perfect line of air for the sunrise.

2021-07-26We absolutely loved our time here. The sites are paved and several sites have full hookups including sewer! The lake was fantastic and our children had so much fun. Well definitely go back! They also have ice and firewood at the guard shack.

2021-08-11Our camping spot had a great view and excellent breeze. Enjoyed the hike which had a few steep spots. Cacti throughout the hike and some thorny vines. Be careful & cautious on the hike. We even spotted an armadillo at the end of our hike.

2021-08-06Great weekend get away. The park was beautiful with options to trek, fish or simply play on the lakeshore with the kids. We booked a cabin and this was the ONLY issue. The cabin was infested with scorpions and the kids were scared to sleep at night with scorpions scrwaling everywhere. . Minus the cabin stay i would rate this a 4.
