I waited until I was in my 50’s before getting my first tattoo. Did a lot of research before choosing Lamar Street Tattoo Club, the reason being their emphasis on quality. I’m deaf and I needed to feel that there wouldn’t be any issues with communication. Went for a consultation and any concerns I had were eliminated. The shop is very clean, professional and classy. Josh Hall and all the artists were very welcoming. I chose Cameron Gamel and I absolutely love my tattoo! If you want quality, that’s the place to go to. Highly recommend them!

I had the most fun getting my armpit tattooed than I could imagine. Josh provides a great tattoo and experience. He also does the fastest work I have ever had done. Clean, efficient, accurate and won’t waste your time and money. Go have some fun with Josh. I’d probably let him get in the other armpit 😂

I have been coming to Lamar Street Tattoo club for more than 9 years. From the first time I walked into the shop I was welcomed and loved the vibe of the shop. Now all these years later the shop is still just as great if not even better. Josh is very knowledgeable about tattoos and always points you in the right direction. Would recommend this shop to anyone wanting a great tattoo!!

I cannot recommend Jake Johnson and the artists at Lamar Street Tattoo Club enough! Everyone here is professional, down to earth and committed to their craft. The shop is super clean, well maintained and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere.When I met with Jake for the initial consult, I was immediately impressed by his professionalism, thoughtfulness and the vision he had for reworking existing tattoos (different artist) into a cohesive, bold and vibrant full arm sleeve. Jake truly exceeded my expectations and am so grateful for how it turned out!!Thank you for sharing your talent and time with me, Jake!! I love my sleeve and will definitely be back for more custom work soon!

It has been over a year since I got my first tattoo here from Josh Hall. In that year, I managed to get 3 tattoos all within the span of 3 months! If I had more money to spend, I would have gotten more!It was very easy to schedule an appointment with Josh and he was able to take what I envisioned and create a design very quickly, ready to go, as soon as I arrived for my appointments. Originally, I was nervous as my tattoo was much bigger than a small one I had on my wrist. Josh made me feel comfortable as he answered all of my questions, concerns, and treated me with respect. He was very considerate and always checked in with me to make sure I was okay. He was quick, efficient, but also provided high quality work with great attention to detail.I love my tattoos so much, and I already know what I will be getting next. I am thankful to have found a wonderful artist who is passionate about the work he does and is a over all generous and kind human being.

I have extensive work and experience from many different artists and shops and this spot is one of the best. Clean, professional...all done top notch.I found Jake through a friend and he lived up to the billing. Brilliant artist that brought my vision to life. I gave him a little bit and let him drive and I could not be happier with the result. I came to enjoy the anticipation of what Jake was going to add each subsequent session.My goal is now to eventually have everyone in the shop do a piece on me and Jake was a helluva way to start. I am working on a sleeve with Jake. Man is an artist, he says he has been doing this for 27+ years. You can tell from his work that he will put every second of those 27 + years in your tattoo. I came to him with so many ideas, he does not just take your money and give you whatever you want. He will flat out reject your crazy ideas. Remember Folks, what looks good on a picture will not necessarily look good on your skin, but once he likes your ideas, he will give his 100% and give you a piece of art that anybody who sees it will inquire you about. I just have black and white tattoos, his special talent and artistry can bring the best out of anything though. The place is amazing, other artists are really good too. They rescheduled my appointments easily. Check out his work online, he is very good.

Just finished getting my first and second tattoo from Jake Johnson and the experience was great! He is patient, professional, and just a really cool guy. He answered all my questions and his work came out amazing. Great attention to detail and hygiene and the shop is top notch. Had a great experience with these guys. Scheduled a consultation with Jake. My tattoo is a half sleeve on the lower part of my arm. Showed Jake some artwork with the three elements I wanted in my tattoo. He drew up it and incorporated all of them magnificently. Took three sessions to complete. Nothing can replace experience and his 30 years as an artist showed up in my completed piece. He is a consummate professional as a tattoo artist. Thanks to all at Lamar Street Tattoo Club.

Beautiful clean shop with talented artist. They produce high quality work that will last and have lots to choose from. I was very nervous about getting my first tattoo but they were very reassuring the entire time. I’m pretty sure I drove them crazy but they didn’t let that show and still provided outstanding service.
