Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar in other cities:
Phenomenal atmosphere with amazing wait staff. My water never went dry, my food came fast, the service was kind and courteous. This place has a vast variety of options to eat and drink. You will not leave this place hungry. We tried the calamari and that tasted like orange chicken 10/10. The wok bowls are delightful. The burgers are massive and overloaded with all the fixins. If you have kids, the kids sundae is amazing portion to share with your babies. 100% will be back to this location. ❤
Cannot say more about this place than it was amazing!!! The food is amazing, the appetizers also, all the food was DELICIOUS 😋😋😋😋 !!!This is the 4th time we visit and were never disappointed, our server Klarissa was amazing, always making sure to come and ask if we needed anything, the other servers who came with our food also, so courteous and professional all of them, thats why we keep coming back!
Great yummy brunch! Conner was our bartender and server. He was very attentive and personable. We had the red pomegranate sangria, wild blueberry lemon drop, and to eat the burrito and the chicken, biscuits and gravy, all were very good. I included pics of our meal but after eating half, lol!
We just had the absolute best experience at this restaurant. We told our waitress it was our first time visiting. She let the General Manager, Matthew Lindner, know and he personally brought over some garlic and Parmesan chips, on the house. I ordered the chicken pot pie and my husband ordered the country fried ribeye. The food was outstanding! After talking a little more to the manager we told him we were from out of town. Then he made a phone call and got us free hockey tickets to a sold out game. We will definitely be back! One of the best experiences at a restaurant we have ever had.
If your looking for a burger that keeps it interesting, you’ll love this place. The portions are also very generous, we actually took our leftovers home. It’s also dog friendly, how cool is that?! If your a 1st timer, let them know, they will bring out some complimentary seasoned fries! Great place, great food, great environment!
First off, appearance is important and this place looks great. Cozy local restaurant feel with clean tables and well dressed (plaid shirts) staff. Our waiter, Edward, had a great personality and was on top of making sure we enjoyed our time here. The drinks were amazing. I had the rum barrel punch and the wife had the mango Chile margarita. We had the candied bacon which had a great taste but was not as crispy as we like. The ahi tuna salad was phenomenal ( love the dressing) and the chicken pot pie was tasty. All in all, I’ll be back.
We have been to this location many times but Lee was our server today and he blew us away with his service! The perfect amount of paying attention to us, but not annoying us with checking in. If you come here, ask for Lee…hands down best experience at Lazy Dog! He even went above and beyond for our pup to make sure she was taken care of 🥰 you can’t train that, it’s natural.
Our family went out for an early Father’s Day dinner; we ended up with more than just great food. We had Andrew as a waiter and it was the best service I have ever had. He was quick, informative, and incredibly kind. Coming from someone who used to wait tables; this gentleman went above and beyond. I will be requesting him when I go in from now on!
We come here often as the service has always been bar none. You really can’t compare it to any other restaurant. Our server tonight was Andrew, phenomenal! My wife got a pineapple mojito and enjoyed it. We got our usual app of goat cheese and pepper jelly. Andrew even went so far as to split our dinner we were sharing which is unheard of!Thank you Andrew for a wonderful experience my wife and I needed to restore us after a long week.
We had an incredible first time experience! The atmosphere, service, and food were equally amazing! I got the beef dip sandwich with sweet potato tots (5☆) my son had the grilled cheese with candied bacon (5☆) and my husband had the breakfast burger with a fried egg (5☆) We got there before brunch ended so we kind of got the best of both worlds! I love their drink selections. We ended up joining their beer club, too, because their house beers are super tasty!Shout out to Sydney for great service!Clearly were LD fans now 🍻
We ordered two banana puddings and a chicken parmesan. The banana pudding tasted like the puddings that come from a box you can buy at the grocery store. Each cost almost $9, and it came in half-filled small plastic cups. The chicken parmesan pasta noodles did not have enough sauce. The chicken was dry and over-fried. It didn’t even have sauce on it at all. Overall, we were very disappointed. It might be because we ordered around 11pm as it was near their closing time. Whatever the case, we won’t be ordering here again. The food itself was lazy.
And I’ll add five more stars in the body of this review! From the greeting at the door, to the impeccable service provided by Marlon, to all the food and drinks and check in by Greg the manager, our first experience at Lazy Dog will be the reason we come back again and again.Every single person we interacted with was welcoming, personable and made us feel so comfortable. We are new to Texas and still exploring our new home. Lazy Dog is the standard of hospitality we hoped we would experience and we absolutely did!Marlon was intuitive and charming. He made the best recommendations and our meal was excellent. We were welcomed with these delicious waffle fries, then enjoyed some crispy coconut shrimp followed by the lamb shank pot pie for my husband and BBQ ranch burger for me. I also tried the cucumber thyme lemonade since I’m pregnant and can’t have alcohol. The beverage came looking like a cocktail and I didn’t feel “left out” while my husband tried the beer sampler. Marlon somehow guessed the Texas apple pie would be the perfect end to our meal and couldn’t have been more spot on.I cannot wait to come back and maybe next time enjoy the patio with my pup!
Brunch was good we had a bottle w mimosas the food was really good I will say the ambience was good as well I really enjoyed that people can bring their dogs there and eat outside being that I’m a dog lover also our waiter was pretty fast overall I will be visiting this location again I enjoyed myself we went there just for a quick brunch and ended up enjoying it more than I thought. The only reason that I gave them four-star is the food was not extremely hot and we did have to wait on my onion rings but outside of that everything was great
I had a great time trying something new and venturing out to the Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. After reading many positive reviews I decided to go all in. Now that I have enjoyed a few appetizers, an entree, desert, and a few drinks, I can honestly say this is a great restaurant with a fabulous atmosphere and cordial employees. At first, the menu can seem overwhelming because they have a lot to offer, but after reading a few reviews and listening to the waitresses recommendation, I settled on the Bison Meatloaf and was not disappointed. Dessert was just as good with Banana pudding topped with whipped cream. I was also able to try several drinks and none were below par. While it can be easy to spend a pretty penney here, you can definitely enjoy yourself if you just want to have a fun time with friends while not breaking the bank. This is a dynamic establishment with a good environment for fun dates or friends getting together. This is now one of my top favorite spots in the Dallas area. Will 100% be returning in the future.
Lazy Dog should change their name to F & T.Fun and Tasty....I really enjoyed my experience at Lazy Dog. The staff was fun and food was very tasty. The candy bacon was so savory. The lightly fried Devil Eggs were amazing. The dessert was good, just a little sweet for my tastes buds. Over all awesome experience.
Nice place! Had a few issues but overall very nice menu, waitstaff and management. I love that they offer frozen homemade TV dinners to go. Had the fried chicken dinner. Mashed potatoes were awesome and sauteed spinach was very good. Wouldnt recommend the fried chicken but everything else was very nice. Pricey but anything good is, right? Will go back and try other items from their very extensive menu.❤
The service was terrific. Everyone that passed us was very friendly. As for the food, we stopped by for some dessert. The apple and berry pie with ice cream was amazing and would have been an outstanding visit but it was shadowed by how horrible the banana pudding was. The server was kind enough to remove it from the bill and all who were involved laughed or just agreed in bewilderment as to why its not good. I would recommend a visit although it is a bit pricey, but at least with the pie, it was a very generous portion. Cant tell you about the rest of the menu. Enjoy.
First time here. From the parking lot with ample parking to the first contact with staff was amazing. Super clean restaurant, super friendly staff. Every staff member works in unison, it was like watching a ballet performance. The food was fresh and delicious. Our waitresses Allie was superb, spot on drinks were refilled without even asking. Her recommendations for our first time was spot on. We will be coming back for sure
Ive spent a couple of thousand dollars in this place, easy. Good food, theyre putting effort in the dishes. Nice atmosphere. The waiters are usually pretty good, some are a lot better than others. Had everything on the menu, twice, some things three or four times. The bad: the manager allows irresponsible parents let their 12yr old babies run around the restaurant and play tag. Sitting at a nicer restaurant spending hundreds of dollars on a meal and seeing kids run around and through the tables playing tag. Other than that last part, Id say this one of the best restaurants in town, five stars, on par with Bonefish.
My absolute favorite part about Lazy Dog tonight was that they had salt and pepper shakers on the table!! I get so tired of restaurants giving out packets instead of being able to use the shaker already there and it made me extra happy!Dinner was delicious and served quickly with a smile! We didnt have it tonight but I highly recommend the fried deviled eggs!
This place is so good. It was my first lazy dog and I ordered bison meatloaf.. it was delicious.. The atmosphere is wonderful and the customer service is wonderful.. The manager even came to recognize my son on his baseball wins today and my son felt special.. thank u for a great experience
This is an interesting concept, allowing people to dine with their dogs.Dogs are limited to the patio only, so having nice weather would be a limiting factor. But, I noticed they had gas patio heaters, extending its usefullness to cooler days and evenings. However, they only offer two options for dogs meals, and its not listed on the menu so you just have to know about it to ask. They were not prompt about bussing the floor, so my dog was interested in the leftover bowls laying around and would not sit nicely at our table, until I asked a waitress to send someone to bus.The first thing I noticed though was that there were no hooks or hitches for the dogs leash. You have to hold the leash the whole time while eating.Later I found that the back gate to the patio does not self-close and does not latch, so it often left open. I did see a pet mess clean up station on the way back to the car, but there were thee empty spools where rolls of bags should go. As there was no grass (just concrete and common landscaping) I dont think taking your dog out there would be very useful. The dogs meal was very much enjoyed by my dog. She had beef with rice which had a little bit of carrot and peas added.I had to ask a waitress to bring a water bowl, as it was not brought out with the food. The water was served in a plastic dish shaped like a pie plate, which is very easily snagged by a leash going past and dragged along the ground and spilled, or tipped over completely, I soon discovered. (and this drew no notice from the wait staff) A dogs bowl is normally weighted on the bottom or at least shaped such that it doesnt flip over if pushed on from the side.
Service was good. My wife had the chicken sandwich which was pretty good. I had the PB and J burger, I wouldnt suggest it. The pineapple mojito was way too sweet. The only stand out was the huckleberry beer. I doubt I will be returning for dinner but I will be picking up a few of the huckleberry beers to bring home.
Took my son in law for dinner and it was not good. Ordered bacon candy as an appetizer and when it came out it was straight from fridge which was kinda odd but what made it so bad was the dried fat in lines across it! Then I get my black and blue burger and the bacon in it is ice cold covered in grease! My daughter got the seared tuna and it was not seared and they didn’t put the sauce on! The waitress didn’t seem to want to be there either. Very disappointed this visit! I definitely won’t be renewing my beer club membership! And the chocolate mousse was crunchy like the sugar wasn’t dissolved… very odd texture!
First time here and I loved it!! Hostess was very sweet. Our waiter (and omg I forgot his name, sorry! But he had a black ponytail if that even helps 😅). He was great and catered to my kiddo. We had the dirty dog, chicken nuggets, brownie sundae for dessert and I took home one of the Alfredo chicken meals which had so much food! Very surprising considering it’s only $25! So good job everyone there! Staff wore masks and social distancing with tables as well.
First visit to this restaurant. We had date night with two other couples on a Saturday night for dinner and drinks. We made a reservation on the website a few days before and were so glad we did, the waiting area was packed. The atmosphere is nice, the seating/dining area was comfortable. The food was tasty, the adult beverages were spot on. The sweet potato tater tots to start off with was a hit! Everything we order looked impressive and tasted so good! Dessert was good too, the banana pudding could use a little more pizzazz in the flavoring, but other than that, we had a wonderful experience. Our server Jourdan was awesome! He was busy with larger tables, seemed like everyone was celebrating a birthday that evening, but he never made us feel like he forgot about us!We will have to make another trip to try out their brunch menu. Thanks for a great dinner date!
I love this restaurant, this review may be a bit biased because I opened the one in Addison.. but I mean you can just go there and tell that Im not exaggerating. I wouldnt call this your run of the mill every day fast casual dining experience, the dishes here are on another level. Price per person is a little higher than average, but you definitely get what you pay for. Even though the patio is a little smaller at this location theres still a great vibe out there, and Ive never had bad service. Definitely worth checking out if youve never been to any of the locations around DFW before.
This place is legit. I was skeptical at first but was pleasantly surprised with the food. Once we got a server, the service was pretty good, too. We had the calamari and goat cheese appetizers (both are really good) and I had a darn good burger. After Lent we will go back and try their cocktails. 😉
The menu is unbelievable. There is something for every palate here. High-chair seats were uncomfortable to sit in. But the friendly staff and excellent food overcame this error in decor. Prices were somewhat steep but you get what you pay for. Definitely worth another visit.
This place kinda reminds me of BJ’s Brewery. Similar vibe with burgers and beers. We stayed away from the burgers and tried other items. Tasty but needed a little more seasoning. Would come back to try their burgers and sandwiches and small plates.Service was great. Went on a Thursday just after 6pm and seated with no issue. By 6:45 it’s packed but the earlier people from happy hour are leaving so really no long wait. Don’t let the packed parking lot scare you. The weekends may be different though :)A good first time experience 😊
Tyler was great! I really enjoyed the cauliflower buffalo bites. They were the perfect texture from crust to core!! This was my husband and my second visit in two years here and we have officially decided that this be our Monday night date night spot! We will be requesting Tyler every time!!!
I went to this restaurant with my family (we were 7 in number) and we had a great time. We called ahead for reservation and waited about 10 minutes upon arrival to be seated. Quinn was our server and he was excellent! He approached us with a beautiful smile and took our orders. It was our first time at the restaurant, so didnt know what to expect as far as the food tasting goes. Well, the food tasted very well, rating each meal at 9-10/10. We got our food probably about 20 minutes after placing the order. We ordered an appetizer, so the wait didnt seem too long. Their strawberry lemonade drink was exceptionally good, and I was happy it came with free refills.Overall great food, clean restaurant, great customer service and clean restrooms!
So effing good. Everything is good but you HAVE to try the wok fried calamari. In a big calamari person and was worried by the description. Its different from what youd usually expect but im telling you its the best calamari Ive ever had. AB is a fantastic waiter perfectly diligent polite and funny!
Outstanding food. Barbie was an excellent waitress and I will go back frequently. The combination of food and service was outstanding. The old saying is that you can tell if a restaurant is good if it is packed on a Monday night. It was packed, and its an excellent restaurant.
Great atmosphere suitable for outings with friends or family. The restaurant is spacious and has booth, table, bar, and patio seating. Dogs welcome in the patio seating area which is nicely shaded. The menu has a large selection making it easy for everyone to find something they would like. There is a separate childrens menu with all of the traditional favorites. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Great food and drinks all around.
Our server Emily was awesome! From great recommendations to attentive service, we appreciated the conversations and good food. We enjoyed a flight, a couple beers, the Pot Roast, the Bison Meatloaf, and a pizza. Oh, yeah, and the SMorrs dessert!!!!! Nothing was bad. We will be back for sure!
On our last night visiting our kids (we live in Michigan-they live in Texas), we chose lazy dog. There was no waiting, we were seated right away. I was truly impressed with the interior decor. The birch looking trees by the concierge lent an air of nature. The metal dog sculptures were pretty awesome. I loved the beams in the high ceiling, very cool and I am inspired to create something similar in my own home. The fireplace wall was awesome, huge and the deer head mounted on it was unique and fitting. The restaurant was clean and spacious, easy to see from the road. Our waitress was Margaret and she was very friendly, knowledgeable seemed happy to be there. She brought our drinks right away.My son enjoyed the Alaskan Halibut. He raved about how good it was. The rest of us were slightly disappointed. IMO, the lazy dog takes the usual menu offerings but puts their on twist on it. There’s nothing wrong with that, it just didn’t meet our expectations. The queso was orange cheese with a different flavor-not bad, but not what we were expecting either. My daughter got the fried chicken meal. The seasoning in the breading was, different, unusual. Four of us tried it, the only one that really enjoyed it was my son.I got the pot roast beef dip. That was good and tasty. Both I and my daughter enjoyed the sandwich. The onion rings didn’t have much taste and I found them unremarkable.Hubbs got the cheeseburger which he liked and my acquired daughter got the all American burger which she liked. The portions of food were generous, but I felt the prices were high.I’m glad we tried this restaurant, but it is not going on my “must return” or favorite lists.
Tonight was our first time trying out Lazy Dog and it was an EXCELLENT experience. We ate on the patio and it had a great atmosphere. Our waiter Hassan was wonderful. He made sure we were well taken care of and gave great menu suggestions. The food was good and they had a few unusual/fun items on the menu I had to try. We will definitely go back soon!
First time here and this was amazing experience! The restaurant is so nice and clean and I absolutely love the design of everything. Its also pet friendly (outdoors) and I will be coming back with my doggy :) our server was amazing and so sweet!! Overall one of my favorite places!
Very diverse menu with many different options of vegan, Chicken, beef and pork. The wait staff was on point and very hospitable. The restaurant is pretty cozy with a nice lodge-like ambiance. I would recommend this place as a great place to hang out with family and friends.
So we decided to head out to Allen,TX today and grab a bit to eat ended up here. The place was crowded and the atmosphere was great. Had a slow start, nothing drastic, and the manager came to apologize and through dessert on the house. What great customer service! We started with Bacon Candy and it was very good! Cant go wrong with bacon. The cajun fries had a delightful twist... we couldnt stop reaching for tbem. Think of crumbled up spicy bbq lays chips. My wife asked the waitere about the pot roast dip or the ahi tuna salad. THE AHI TUNA SALAD BARNONE!!! I had the club and it was a fresh basic club, which I like basic. So two thumbs up for the Lazy Dog.
On Tuesday, September 9, 2020, I ordered a well-done burger ftom Lazy Dog of Allen, Texas for delivery by DoorDash.I was very specific. In the comments, I specified. Burn it. No pink at all.An hour later I received a rare burger. It was so rare it made me queasy.I contacted the manager of Lazy Dog. He said they would remake it, if I arranged for DoorDash to send another driver. I told them Id call right back.I spoke with Doordash and, at about 11:50pm, they resubmitted the order.I called the manager back. He looked and said he had no reorder. I insisted he take the specifics down rather than wait for the order, because it was quite late. He, grumpily, agreed.I called DoorDash back and told them The Kazy Dog manager said they hadnt received a reorder and they were making it anyway, but needed me to call to confirm a driver had been sent. I held for about ten minutes and Doordash returned, had spoken with the manager, made sure the order was being made, spoken to the driver, who was five minutes away. Doordash had reitterated, to the manager, the well-done-no-kidding request and had been assured that it would be done. The food arrived about 1am. The burger was completely rare. More rare than the first.I contacted Doordash for a refund. They processed a credit.Of course its 1:16am and I have to be up for teaching at 8am.So, Im just not going to have dinner tonight.
Loved the decor and vibe. The people were nice and actually addressed a couple different issues with us immediately so a portion of our food was already comped, we didn’t have the heart to tell them we didn’t like the food. The food LOOKED so nice. Great presentation. Hubby liked the deviled eggs, but said the bacon on top was the best part. We both got the “house salad” but it didn’t specify what it was, it was very earthy tasting to me with primarily red peppers, dark lettuces, and dressing. My husband got the spicy peanut vinaigrette dressing, that paired well with it, ranch did not go well with that particular salad, but their ranch dressing was good, maybe on a different salad. He got the lemon chicken and I got the club. They were both good looking, but really disappointing in the taste department. the bread on my sandwich hurt me so bad when trying to bite it. It was just so hard and literally sharp. The cauliflower mash was good but cold? I enjoyed the “Cajun fries” upgrade with the chipotle ranch as my side. That’s primarily what I ate. Maybe I just need to try something else.
Came in with a group of coworkers for a staff lunch. We had Andrew as our waiter and he took EXCELLENT care of us. It felt less like a typical restaurant visit and more like a VIP experience. The service was top notch, his food recommendations was excellent (and healthy!), and our drinks were never empty.Ill definitely come back to Lazy Dog and to see Andrew. Thank you!
Oh my GOD this place is amazing! The spaghetti and beetballs is to DIE FOR, I was honestly a bit concerned about it being meatless but the flavor is sooo fantastic! I love the atmosphere of the place and the vibe of the employees seem really respectful and chill. I love how it’s all decorated with the wood accents and trees chopped up. My husband and I will definitely be coming back a Lot cause we love the low carb selection of foods they have here. It reminds me of Cheesecake Factory to be honest, I love it here I can’t wait to try their other dishes! 👍😍❤️
Great large open bar, lots of on tap options, wide range menu for every palate! Nice and delicious happy hour menu. Prices are normal, not expensive and not cheap either, just right.Quality of service is noticably good.Happy faces and great attitude crew.Refreshing big open restaurant area with high ceilings, calm and just enough lights. The food was exceptional! Especially the calamari, has to be their signature dish, amazingly flavorful 💯
The queso and house-made chips are dangerously good! I had a rum punch drink which was tasty and had a good kick to it. For my entree I tried one of the specials which was shrimp and grits and it was delicious!! They have a huge menu so I definitely want to come back with my husband next time so he can try the beers!
Above average food! Wife loved the pina Colada. Huckleberry Haze IPA strongly recommended! Dont let the lack of parking spaces scare you. This place is huge! The acoustics and atmosphere inside are very well planned out. You owe it to yourself to try it out. Thank you Andrew. Your service was excellent!
In Texas for a week to visit Sister & do some Service Dog training with Hercules. We had the best waitress at that place today Kali. She was not only professional, but very knowledgeable about Service Dogs & made us feel so welcome, at ease & relaxed. The food was Amazing we didnt have any complaints.Thank you Lazy Dog & Kali for making us feel warm & welcome.Kim
Well.. the sis in law had made a reservation because we had 7 people. We arrived early, were seated around 5-7 mins after our reservation time. Thats not so bad. We sat down at our table without being asked for our drink order for 15 mins. I had to get up and ask another server in the next area, hello sir, who is our server? The guy who then attended to us said, and I quote.. Hey my boss said I need to come take yalls order. No, sorry for the wait, thanks for your patience. Never a smile, just a straight face and to the point lol. We had to ask and stop the same guy for refills on our drinks. He also got a few of the drinks wrong initially, but we just kept em. So after service that I didnt think was so hot, the food was pretty decent lol. Had a few Ritaz, and a good time with friends despite the bad service.
First time here, absolutely loved the entire experience.Bacon candy and the fried deviled eggs were big hits, but the Bison Burger and the Pineapple Upside down cake are what will bring us back. Our server Tyler was an absolute gem and was able to awnser questions about the menu and provide some great suggestions.
Let me start off by saying that if I go to this restaurant and Andrew is not working, I will most likely return another day even though the food was amazing. He is that good of a server. I have never had a server so knowledgeable, kind, and diligent. He took such great care of us and made us feel like the most important customers in there. The food is also absolutely amazing. The brussel sprouts are my favorite. The tortilla soup, burgers, and wings are all amazing as well.Do yourself a favor and go to Lazy Dog, ask to sit in Andrews section and have an amazing meal. You will not regret it.
Food is excellent and portions are huge. Service is excellent and the place is beautiful, the terrace has heaters and also a fireplace which gives a great view for some photos. Good place to go with friends and chat. Also the place is pet friendly at the terrace so its a good idea to dinner and drink while having your dog happily enjoying the night out.
Tried this restaurant 4 times. The first time was dine in when they first opened. I remember the food being okay but it taking over an hour and they were not at capacity. The second time the food was disappointing to our entire party of 6. We gave them some time and tried take out after COVID. It was not enjoyable. This last order after giving them several more months and maybe thinking we just ordered the wrong thing came with a steak that was supposed to be MW but is obviously rare. It was so chewy we couldnt cut it. They dont seem to take kindly to door dash orders. Food quality is not anywhere worth the price but it is from California so they probably think its a great deal just like 19 people living in a two bedroom house so they can work at Google.
Great restaurant and atmosphere! If you want to go to a chill spot with friends to hang out, watch a game...or even take your dog on a date🐶🤷🏻♂️, this is a fantastic place. 🙌👌👍.The variety of menu selection as well as quality of taste are fantastic. The service is quick and friendly. And lastly, the price is reasonable! 🤑🙌Go check this place out!
Service was great. Food was good. Needs a bit more seasoning but they have sauces you can add and do make plate taste better. These nachos were very tasty not as hot as it looks. My bf ordered lemon chicken. Chicken was moist. Mash pot cauliflower tasted diff. I ordered the lunch hot dog thing. I didnt want the blue cheese dressing (not a big fan of that cheese) so I got ranch instead. However the Cole slaw that comes on top of it tasted like it had bleu cheese so I took it off.
Exceptional service from our server Anthony. He was very attentive, polite and kept my needs in mind the whole experience. I am astonished he isnt in a higher position, he definitely had the professionalism of management. Other than that I was disappointed at the hostesses and there playful unprofessional bantering that they have towards customer. I dont appreciate the comments made non did I like the snarky attitude from the tall one. Only reason I might come back is for Anthony making it a great dining experience.
Lets start with the fact that it was a Friday night, so they were busy, but that never caused an issue. We sat in the bar area at a high-top table so we had a waiter and he was on his game. My buddy had already ordered a few appetizers by the time I got there, but our waiter showed immediately to see if I wanted anything else. My water was already waiting for me. Everything I ate that night was great. It was cooked properly and seasoned nicely. I cant wait to go back for more.
It has been a long week and Brittany (probably spelled wrong, sorry!) Took great care of me at the bar. I had the fried chicken salad. I have ordered these at a lot of places and honestly was just hungry and tired and wanted a quick bite and a drink. Im not kidding when I say this may have been the best salad ever. Hot sauce on the side so you can make it just the right amount of hot and sweet. The candied walnuts were great for crunch but the star has to be the warm cornbread croutons! Try this one the next time you are there.
My favorite dish is the chicken fried ribeye. Its amazing and tender and not like the other chicken fried steaks youve had. It came with home made mashed potatoes, cream gravy and also separate brown gravy to add to the potatoes. If I havent convinced you, Id go so far as to say probably the best restaurant chicken fried steak Ive EVER had.
The food is a representative of the name. A lazy dog made it. This was some of the worst food I’ve ever had. It probably was under a heat lamp before I received it. I would have been better off at in n out because this food tasted like a toilet seat. Worthless then to receive a 100 ticket for something that sucks… waste of money and time. Find somewhere else to go.
This was our first time in and it was ahhhmazing! It was approximately 1245 on Monday afternoon and our service was quick and on point! This dog friendly eatery is so warm and cozy inside yet trendy too. Think log cabin with upgrades lol :) We ordered the queso appetizer and it was so yummy! So many different flavors going on! Unlike any queso Ive tried. For my main course, I ordered the small plate of brussel sprouts and a cup of butternut squash soup and my dude ordered the PB&J burger. Yes you read that right! Peanut butter, grape jelly and candied bacon! He said it was messy and perfect and he never even put it down between bites! And yep...we ordered dessert too! The open faced huckleberry/apple tart....yall!!! Ive never moaned so much during a meal! Sooooo stinkin good! I didnt try any alcoholic drinks or beer, but the menu was extensive! We asked our server how their breakfast is and she suggested their most popular was the avocado toast and make your own mimosa service that comes with a bottle of champagne for $25....yasssss!! We WILL most definitely be back! Maybe with our pup in tow 💜

2022-05-22Ive been going to Lazy Dog for at least 4 years. Ive loved every experience until today. The food was as always, exquisite. For the first time, the service was not. I realize she may have just been having a bad day so I want to only speak the facts. We ordered the brunch donuts and they came raw in the middle. When I told her she asked what we wanted her to do about it. She didnt take them back or fix this. Although we didnt eat then we were charged for them. Our drinks were empty for a long time, when we asked for a refill she very firmly set it down and kept going. We had no flatware or napkins (we asked for some a few times), the food finally came, she was no where in sight and we had no means to eat it.We ordered a dessert to go and we received salad dressing rather than caramel sauce.I realize theres a food server shortage but she left quite a door taste. We were still kind to her and told 20%.On another note, Landry was a blessing. She got our flatware, ketchup and an additional to go box and a bag. Keep her, shes great.

2022-06-14Staff was super nice. Food was good. Got tofu lettuce wrap and the sweet potato tots. My daughter loved her pot roast dip sandwich and granddaughter had green beans and teriyaki chicken with rice. Will be back again.

2022-06-01This place never disappoints! Absolutely amazing menu selection for all sized appetites. If your a fan of a great Old Fashion, look no further than their Maple Bacon Old Fashion, garnished of course with their famous Maple and Cayenne seasoned bacon. Its the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy. The cocktail itself had the wonderful aroma of a campfire. Just sublime! The servers are always so polite and patient, and are very knowledgeable of the menu. We had Mitchell for our most recent visit, and he did a phenomenal job of anticipating all our needs, and was spot on and check ready when we were ready to leave. Do yourself a favor and take advantage of this unique restaurant that offers a variety of cuisine fit for the while family. But most unique is their Beer and TV dinners which allow you to take a bit of their entire menu home with you to enjoy throughout the week. Just a great place all around for any hungry diners looking to get quality food and large portion sizes. You will be happily full when you leave. I highly recommend stopping here first before heading out to shop at the nearby Allen Town Center, as my family and I always do. Thank you again Lazy Dog Allen Staff and Kitchen for consistently being a top notch restaurant worthy of visiting any day of the week.

2022-04-24Very popular eatery just off of Highway 75 & Stacy. We arrived a bit before 6pm and there was already a wait list. Took about 20 minutes to get a table but things were running efficiently and the wait staff did not seem overwhelmed - instead a very laid back easy going vibe from everyone. We ordered drinks and then later multiple appetizers. A complementary appetizer of fresh fried potato chips with herbs and garlic came out first and then we tried the buffalo wing nuggets, the fried deviled eggs and the mini corn dogs - all were very tasty and we would order again. Food and service were excellent and even though the place was full - the acoustics were good and it was possible to carry on a conversation without issue - a big PLUS these days in places!

2022-01-19Love lazy dog restaurants. This was first visit to Allen one. Good food and ambiance. Limited vegetarian options. Teriyaki bowl, bison burger and pineapple up side down everything was delicious. Highly recommended!

2022-06-28Is this animal sauce?$11 for a brownie that tastes like a cake or sugar, a scoop of vanilla, and no chocolate sauce. I did, however, get a side ofanimal sauce. Yep. How does this happen?
