Went after work for office birthdays. They serve drinks only. If you want food you have to call next door to Brooklyn Pie and they bring it to your specific number table. Weird relationship. But hey, it works. Atmosphere was very, very noisy!! Hard to hear conversations. Service was very slow. And dont forget the parking. Little Woodrows is in a strip mall with other businesses so parking is limited. Not enough for amount of people that frequent here.
This bar gets points for typically being close to home and a nice place to grab a drink with a friend. The theme nights are fun because the music is great and the staff usually dress up. It has a nice casual ambiance. The staff are prompt and polite. The live music played last Friday was so terrible that my buddy and I ( who had just ordered our second drink) finished as fast as we could to leave that awful racket behind.
Great casual sports bar to kick back with coworkers and friends with lots of beers on tap and some rolling taps. Also some good wines and spirits too. Staff are friendly! Nice outdoor patio. While no food is served here, the Brooklyn Pie Co next door serves great pizza, and they will hand deliver it to your table in Little Woodrows which is nice.
Good atmosphere, especially on weekend nights. Week days can often be very slow, but still inviting. There is an outdoor bar attached to the main bar to accommodate smokers, plenty of televisions inside and out. They also provide a variety of board games for casual fun. The drink prices are moderate, and they could benefit from more specials. Overall, a great place to get together with friends.
Great place and the staff are always great. They welcome both me and my pup and have a great beer selection. I was a little surprised to see the negative ratings but most are due to the lack of food.... They accommodate by having menus for close by places that deliver though. Its a bar, not a restaurant.
Local bar, friendly staff, daily events, very clean and open air ambiance. Food is not served, but theres a pizza joint and Mexican restaurant within walking distance. I come here for football, for beers with friends after work, and when I just want it get out of the house... I like the mixed crowd and beautiful staff...
My coworkers and I come here often for the convenient beer. Theyve got a great selection and a nice sized patio. However, since the entire place is full with groups of Dell and GM employees at all times I dont understand why the music is always so loud. This is primarily an after work hangout for groups, not a dating place for singles. Service is always pretty difficult to get so we usually order at the bar. Ordering at the bar is chaotic since the bar is often full of people sitting at the bar and at tables right next to it. It would work better if they created a single line for ordering on the far side by the video games. People dont hang out over there much.I plan on being back soon!
This place is across the street from my office. Its perfect for drowning out sorrows or happy hour with co-workers. Service is relatively quick at the bar but waiters can be hit or miss. They have a decent enough beer selection but Id probably look elsewhere if I werent too lazy to drive. Usually, thats the last thing I want to do after work - first thing would be beer! Little Woodrows also serves liquor. Also, be warned that this place does not serve food. There are certain days where there will be a food truck or you can also order food at Brooklyn Pie Co. next door and they will walk the food over to your table. Little Woodrows does not serve food at all so I wouldnt recoomend coming here on an empty stomach.I come here often enough to recognize the same people who seem to hangout here on a daily basis. The crowd is relatively tame and decent.Little Woodrows also offers outdoor seating (with a nice heating system on cold days). You can smoke outdoors and pets are allowed on the patio provided that they are well-behaved and you keep them on leash.
Recently moved to the area and was at first excited this place was in my vicinity after frequenting the downtown location often. However upon further review, there a quite a few things that need to be fixed for me to return. For starters, Im not sure how it passes the no smoking ordinance. I usually never notice air quality but the mustiness slaps you on the face as soon as you walk in. I think its because they keep the window/garage doors to the outside bar open which creates absolutely no barrier to the smoke. Also it looks like a game friendly bar by the number of tv’s they have which is nice....but server wouldn’t even put sound on bar upon request for recent Elite 8 Duke/Ku game on a slow Sunday afternoon. Had to instead to listen to some bad and distractingly loud music even though it was the only game on.I will say head bartender lady provides great service and at the request of another customer, she eventually put the sound on.This location is right next GM, Dell and a new area in general...they may want to consider attracting and catering to a more discerning crowd.I will be happy to revise my review pending them fixing this which they hopefully do.
The Little Woodrows here is a terrific establishment. The outdoor seating is comfortable and has mist to keep you cool. The selection of beer is good and the prices are reasonable. It gets surprisingly loud inside, particularly after work - lots of office workers come here to relax.
I did not go to Woodrows. I went to Tech Ridge Pet Hospital next door. The 5 stars are for the Pet Hospital. It was the 1st time going there and for the worst possible reason...euthanasia. Everyone was so kind and compassionate, obviously animal lovers.I did see the people going in Woodrows having their temperature taken at the door and it looked as if there was an empty table between each occupied table on the outdoor patio.
The manager kicked myself and my friends out for being “too friendly” to the server. We were making friendly conversation the entire time without a nudge in the “too far” direction. He didn’t seem to want to kick anyone else out besides myself. I’m a white American and he is a Mexican American, I’m not claiming racism but, it sure did seem that way. It seemed like a jealousy type of thing. That’s what I call toxic leadership. I will NEVER return to that restaurant because of that guy. Short Hispanic man with a full beard, the only reason I will not return. The waitress, Ashly, was great 5 stars to her. -107663 to her manager.
This bar is local to me. I have been bringing people here for awhile now. Its very close to my house. Therefore, Ive enjoyed getting to know a few of the staff. Tonight, one of my favorite waitresses (the reason I come here) was talking to me when management came and reprimanded her??? I wIsh customer relations were respected/appreciated. I
I am sitting here RIGHT NOW. My husband and I are INSIDE at a table drinking beer. The waitresses are servicing all tables around us so we thought we would receive the same....we were wrong . We have been sitting here for 45 minutes. NOT ONE waitress has come to us to ask about our drinks or order. Our beers have been empty and I have tried to ask them “excuse me ma’am “. They walk past me. The only person who has responded is the bar back or bus boy who has been picking up my empties. Super poor service, unfortunately.
While they dont typically serve food (thankfully, you can order from Brooklyn Pies), they are super accommodating to your sports viewing preferences and really friendly without feeling overly rowdy. The extra fifth star was for the 3/30 crawfish boil, because when they *do* serve food here, its awesome.
Place is decent and the service was just fine. Plenty of screens which I can appreciate. I was annoyed however at the fact they clearly over served a woman who Im assuming is a regular since she had her feet on the bar and apparently could care less...which was lovely. She was baligerent drunk harassing a group of out of towners until I guess her friend decided she should leave. Classy. God forbid she drove home and didnt have a ride.
Not too many bars in the area so this one already gets high marks for existing. There are some arcade games and darts available, and occasionally live music. Friendly bartenders, and you can order food at Brooklyn Pie a couple doors down and they will deliver to the bar. Perfect combo! Once in a while there will be a food truck but I always want Brooklyn Pies pizzas anyway.
Worst experience I have had at an AUSTIN bar!!!! We are literally at Little Woodrow’s now and my wife and I have been sitting at a table watching two waitresses walk past us for 30 minutes without even any service. Every other table around us has been served. The waitresss even refuse to even look at us. Last time we will visit this place. Terrible service. Spend your money else where.
Thanks for the reply LW Management. As for details of why it was 2 stars - I can tell a quick story. It was a Saturday early afternoon. It was incredibly nice outside and I have sat on the patio many times in the past. My wife and I decided to take our 5 month old out and sit for a drink and eat some pizza. There was no one at the bar - there was no one outside. We came and sat at the table outside for a minute or two in view of the bartender before I came in and ordered a drink. The bartender refused us saying adults only. I laughed because I genuinely thought it was a joke. She just said, yeahhh... so the sign says 21 and up... Again, I assumed she was joking. It became clear she wasnt and I said. Oh. Yeah. But, hes... a baby. Like... a little baby boy... He was literally just asleep in his car seat. A little baby infant. She basically told us to leave, so we did. Ive seen kids in there before and Im pretty sure there is no law in Texas about infants in a bar. I know its a management decision, but like I said - Ive seen ACTUAL kids in there before. Didnt think at all that when we were the only customers, sitting outside that there was a legitimate issue... Heres where the story gets unfortunate and I swear Im not making this up. I mentioned that the bartender saw us (ALL of us) outside for a few minutes before I came inside to order. The bartender looked, for lack of a better word, progressive... I swear this when I say, I think it wasnt until I came in and she took a look at my tan veteran hat (with my unit badge and American flag) that she decided to deny us. I know it sounds crazy but I believe we were actually kicked out because I was a veteran. The kid thing is a nice excuse, but Im pretty positive this is what went down. I used to go to LW all the time with work colleagues. Needless to say, I havent gone back since and I likely never will. Possible discrimination aside, It ruined our afternoon.
We have taken our son here a dozen plus times (I posted a pic on their FB page of our son enjoying a game in their patio from just about three weeks ago). It’s typically either just a quick stop for us during our Sunday adventures or we’ll order lunch from nextdoor and hang out for a bit. Yet oddly, Sunday 4/29, we were booted with claims that it was a 21 & up establishment only. Yet no ones checks IDs at the door. Is this a new rule? I know I’ve heard no one under 21 after 9pm but never day time hours. What was also weird is we kept being ask “well...about how many rounds will y’all be having?” Would it have made a difference if we were going to rack up the tab? I found this extremely odd & disappointing. You may want to get a bouncer to check IDs at the door if this is a rule y’all plan to implement. Especially being that my hunny was about to get me an alcoholic drink just by saying I was over 21, no ID required.
Well I use to like stopping in having a few drinks after work. But Im not going back never again because of this . I normally use cash but I used my card when I took out my girlfriend. The day after I looked at my bank account and saw there was another charge I DID NOT SIGN FOR!!!! I called them up and I was told it was going to be refunded. Never was and I called my Bank and i was informed that they never did anything to refund it. So basically my money was Stolen from me. Not very cool
Terrible service! The bartender lacey was so rude. I bought a beer for my buddy and because she didnt ID him herself she took his beer and kicked us out. Just wow!! Been going to Woodrows since I was 21 now I will never come back and tell everyone I know to stay away from this place!

2022-03-14We met a group of friends here, the atmosphere was great but the cocktails... Not so much. The party I was with had ordered the cocktail,Long Island Ice Tea.There might have been ice tea in this drink but literally that was it.Not one drop of alcohol they had in their drinks they ordered. That was the most expensive ice tea, they said they ever bought. There was literally six adults that ordered this cocktail and each and everyone said they felt like they all should of gotten their money back.My friends and I will never go back toLittle Woodrows on Tech Ridge.I recommend you do the same unless you enjoy non alcoholic drinks.Very disappointed in their adult drinks.

2022-03-12Ordered 3 long island ice teas and very little alcohol in them. Not mad....just disappointed. Certainly not worth the cost. One person felt the beer was watered down. 😕

2022-04-28I LOVE this place...great beer selection and dog-friendly...the outdoor patio is shaded, has mistress, and even the bar extends outside to sit at if you dont want a table. The staff is also a big reason I keep coming back. I just finished my first run through the Big 50 Club (50 different drafts) and there is more on tap than just those on that list. Pretty cool! They dont have food, but the pizza place next door delivers to your table--a slice, whole pie, salads, fries, chips n queso, wings, chicken fingers, subs, etc...so its not only pizza. Outstanding!

2020-01-21Super friendly atmosphere. All the bartenders are great at their jobs, and very attentive. Plenty of good beer. No cover on fight nights. And thanks to the Big 50 Club, my name is even on the wall!

2021-11-18Weve been to a fair amount of bars around town but none have been quite as cozy as this one.Everyone from the waitress to the patrons all had a very welcoming vibe that quickly made us feel right at home. We even had a gentleman that owned a taco stand outside come in and ask us if we wanted to buy some discounted but amazing tacos that they delivered to our table. We already have plans set to return in the near future!
