Thursday at 3:30pm. Not busy.Spanish music playing, love it.Authentic Mexican restaurant.Ordered queso dip for free fresh chips and their red salsa and green salsa. Really enjoyed the red salsa.Ordered Laredo platter, delicious, with rice, refried beans.BF ordered El Rey, he enjoyed it .The portions are huge. Being your appetite. Some of the staff seems to speak on only Spanish or understand little English, but its part of the experience.
Did not have a pleasant experience. Waitress was not friendly. Did not even get to order our food for after an hour of waiting. Waitress was extremely unattentive. We did not receive our food for an hour and a half. We got to go boxes when our food came out. The food was not that great.
Great food, good service with the right server, and always clean. Only rated 4 stars because the meals are pricey in my opinion. Im from San Antonio where TexMex was born (at an affordable price), so $12+ on an enchiladas plate is foreign to me. But overall the meals are consistently good!
Great food and great service! I went on a date here which turned out to be a really good one, and it was a bit cold so I asked them to turn the heat up a bit. They did and after we ate it was the perfect temperature. They give you great portions as well. I left feeling full and even had a bit to take home after.
While visiting my son and his family in Brenham my wife and I went out for dinner. My son suggested this restaurant if we want Mexican food.I had fajitas and Im not sure what my wife had. She had 2 margaritas, and she liked them. The chips and dips were great, a bit too spicy for my wife. The service was very good and served within a reasonable time.I live out of state so not likely Ill return any time soon. I would go back if in town. Couples and families were dining there.Give it a try!
The host, who is in the photo on her phone, was not very personable. Acted more like we were just a job and she had to tell us what to do. This was our very first visit and the sad thing is, the food wasnt bad....but where is the personality in this place? No one smiled. Claudio was superb!!! He made sure every table had drinks and chips....with a smile. Masks are required to enter, yet we watched 3 families come in without them. The salad bar is open to the restaurant and not one person wore a mask to go get their salad. The free ice cream cone is the worse. We watched countless people go to the machine and use the black lever for their ice cream....without a mask and without gloves. So tell me again why require mask when germs are spread through the salad bar, ice cream machine, and restrooms? The restaurant looks very well kept with vibrant colors, the food was not bad...could use a little more seasoning...but not bad. We will try the restaurant again, just not sure how soon.
The place is good, and our server was really sweet! Loveee the salsa there!BUT I ordered the Poblano releno (chilli releno) it was REHEATED AND SERVED TO US!! It is supposed to be fried and they reheated something which was FRIED!!! The waitress talked to the chef and she agreed to that it maybe reheated! But sad part is after not having that old food they still charged us! Also the GUACAMOLE the avocados weren’t even smashed, big chunks!!Good service but disappointed with the way they use old food and just reheat and pretend it’s fresh!! 3 stars only for the server and salsa!!
My husband and son both ordered the tamale plate. My husband swears the tamales were the same from a can that he ate back in his single days. I had the Morelia Plate which was really good except the rice. The rice also tasted whatever the opposite of authentic is. The bus staff was very attentive but the serving staff was slow and hard to find, not worth what they charge per plate in my opinion,
I have been let down time and Time again by ALL the Mexican restaurants I’ve been to in Texas. Being Mexican myself, I have a high expectation for “authentic Mexican” restaurants. The food looked delicious, but my chicken was súper tough. I could not cut into it. It was rubbery. The shrimp taste like bleach. I didn’t taste the rice or beans because at that point i was gagging. One star for handmade tortillas and one star for our server who did a great job trying to please us in every way possible. Drinks and chips and salsa were refilled in a timely manner.
Was extremely disappointed with their service.Took my daughter to have a late lunch after she got off work. Was sat down given menus ordered our teas.Took over 20 minutes to get an appetizer plus longer for our order to be taken. Was not busy since it was after 2 p.m. when we got there.Saw customer get up and serve his own tea.Not once did they come and see if we needed a refill.I have came prior a few times and was unsatisfied with their service. Most definitely wont give them another chance.
1st visit to Los Cabos. Very good Tex-Mex food in Brenham TX. A little pricey, but overall excellent choice for date night or any special occasion. The only Tex-Mex restaurant that has a chalupa added to the standard salad plate of the combo meals. Although very busy the entire staff were smiling, polite, and very attentive to the needs of the customers. The only issue found was the hard stem portion of a diced tomato in the taco on the salad plate, which is really minor compared to things that could happen!!! I will be going back to try other dishes that they have included on the expansive menu. I will update when I have.
The seating was quick even tho they were packed! The food had huge portions. My burrito plate came with all the condiments. It was FULL of big chunks of steak. Not sure I liked the sauce on top. But the cheese sauce was good. (Better than some other places)Half order of quesadillas was more than enough!Kiddos meals were of good value!I will give this place another try.
I love the fact that you can have options here. You can have a steak or Mexican food. Their salad bar is super best. Every once in a while Ive gone and have had a couple of staff that werent paying much attention. Its usually a great place to go and super delicious on the food. ☺️
The wait staff was very coordinated, but I was deliberately seen as inferior as I was by myself and dirty from work. The staff didnt want to wait on me, was imposed upon to answer basic questions about the menu (truly), and the taco salad was prepared ahead of time and put in a refrigerator.I know this as the shell and fajita meat were ice cold. They apparently make them early and take them out as needed. Yuk.My taco salad understandably became taco soupy salad. The only good staff was the gentleman refilling the drinks. He did a great job! This restaurant has the potential to become a 5 star establishment of they get their act together.
I’ve been going here since it opened! The wait staff is AMAZING and have turned into a friendship! Yes some of the prices have gone up but the food is always delicious and worth the raise! I have tried the seafood, steaks, Mexican food, burgers, sandwiches, etc. all is remarkable!!! Will be going to eat here for years to come!!!!
I would not even give this place a star rating after today. We went for lunch and we ordered a large nacho (they brought a small), shrimp stuffed jalapenos and a shrimp plate. The server was so rude when we told him that we ordered large nacho, he said no you said small I heard you. There were 3 people that all confirmed we said large. He then walked away and when we held hands to pray he walked up (mid prayer) and went over us to get the plate of small nachos that he had brought. When he brought the large nacho back 15 min later he rudely slammed it on the table. The shrimp stuffed jal were not cooked and were cold and the shrimp plate tasted soured!! Needless to say we will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN!!
The service was slow, the food was tasteless, no seasoning, didnt taste like Mexican food at all. The beef taco was big cubed chunk of unseasoned beef not for a taco. Will never return. The waitress was very nice n sweet the lady that sit us was like she had an attitude. There was 10 of us with the kids. I dont recommend it.
The waiter never introduced himself or greeted us, he simply started taking our drink order and when it was time to order he began to argue with me over a very very simple instruction I was giving for my plate. When we received our food he slammed my plate in front of me and with a very snarky tone asked if it was to my liking which it was not. All I wanted was the enchilada plate I was ordering to be the last plate prepared out of the order to make sure it was fresh the waiter took this as me wanting it extremely hot so they microwaved my plate and I received terrible enchiladas with a cold center and crusty beans
By far, the best Mexican restaurant I have ever been to, and seriously, I have been to hundreds! The servers make you feel like your a VIP with their attentiveness, and hospitality! Every employee in the restaurant from the bussers to the cashiers are responsive to your dining experience! The food is fantastic, and nothing on the menu will break the bank, allowing even penny pinchers to choose freely, and sample to their delight! The ambiance is very nice, with full wall murals, and varied decor. Their is a full service bar within its own area, apart from the main dining, and a large salad bar as well. Visiting Brenham, make a stop here for lunch or dinner, you wont be disappointed!
Came here from out of town for work. Happened to be next to the hotel. Went there Monday, it was so good I had to go back again in the same week. Food was great, service was great, prices were a little high, but you get great quality and good portions, and imma big boy and like to eat! I definitely recommend it.
Decent Texmex food at reasonable prices. Wait staff are pretty attentive and friendly.Serve their crunchy tacos weird to where they are crunchy for about two minutes due to tacos laying flat and the lettuce over sides of the taco. Taste pretty good though, just a bit soggy after the first one.
The food is great, but theyre service needs alot of work. Weve been there 3 times and the waiters take a long time to go to your table to take the order, once you finally have your food they dont go back to give you refills. We live 50 mins. from Brenham and this issue is discouraging me to go back again.
My husband and I eat here almost every week at least one time. We have always enjoyed the food and the service. That is until last weekend . We have NEVER been more ignored then that meal. No one checked on us, brought us what we asked for, took empty plates, refilled our drinks. Unbelievable!!!!
Three of us stopped here to eat. The waitress takes us to our table & leaves with three sets of silverware & one menu before disappearing. We had to waive down a waiter to get two more menus. We figured out pretty quick what we wanted. Then we sat with menus down on table for about FIVE minutes before he got up from the booth with the hostess. I generally tip well, but also give SERVICE. His tip definitely hinges on good service & I haven’t seen it yet.If you are going to flirt with hostess & ignore customers, it’s time to punch out & go home!
I have never had a bad experience at any other location until I came to this one. I have been to this location before a few months and did not have a big issue until I came back today after visiting the Lake Somerville. We had ordered our drinks and we needed our first refills and it took 10 to 15 minutes for a different server to give us refills and it also took awhile for our server to come take our orders. We were a party of 4. The food was good. But our service was awful. Our server did not come to check on us once after we got our food. After we had finished eating, we were ready to pay and our server was sitting at another table eating. We had to another server’s attention and asked for our checks. We also did not know if we had to pay at the front or at the table. We could not find our server to ask him, so we got up to pay at the front. While we were walking to the front, our server was sitting at some table talking with other people. Not doing his job. When we got to the front, there was no host at the front and we saw 4 of them sitting at a table just staring at us until one finally got up and came over. She asked how everything was and my boyfriend had said “it was alright”. The hostess then proceeded to say “oh well I work up here so it’s not my problem”. I’m sorry, but as a worker in customer service, her response should have been, “oh I’m sorry to hear that”. And possibly offer that next time it would be better. I am a firm believer in tipping nice as well, but these people did not deserve much. I do not recommend eating here unless you want poor customer service. We will not be returning.
The food is good but some of the servers dont know English very well. They refill your glass very quickly and the portions are big. I always have a to go plate when I leave. Its always busy so you know its a locals favorite. The Plato Loco is good if not a bit pricey.
5 out of 5 stars for sure! Great service! Our glasses never went below half empty. Very kind servers. Great food! Enchiladas were very tasty! Pork chops were very moist and had great flavor. Salad bar was great! Crisp, cold lettuce peeled to perfection. Could have had a few more options but the succulent lettuce made up for it. Fajitas were authentically devine, and great tortillas made fresh. If you are looking for a place with options this is for you!
The prices may look high, but you get queso with your salsa and chips. You get large portions of some of the best food I’ve experienced. My husband and I ordered the fried mushrooms and the trio fajitas. There was enough to have had a third person and share. The service is excellent as well.
Wish I could give more stars. in town for a weekend wine event and just wanted some good food. we showed up around 7pm on a Saturday evening. we were seated right away and server was there instantly. incredibly large food and drink menu. order was taken and food came quickly and was DELICIOUS ! . service was spectacular and prices reasonable. wish they were in Austin.
Service was fast, but waitress was the barest of polite. My sons Mac and cheese was a small portion of re-heated Kraft. And the red enchilada sauce on my dish was oddly sweet, and not in a tasty way. Queso was nearly as thin and bland as water. Have had much better meals here in the past. Disappointing lunch yesterday. Not sure if I will return.
Worst service ever!!!.. took 20 minutes to get a drink order in.. 20 minutes later we grabbed a different waiter to go check on our drink order.. they were not busy tonight at all.. people seated after us were getting their drinks and food before we could find our waiter to order..?? Waiter walked by 3-5 times and never asked us if we needed anything.. water refills, drink refills, how was our dinner nothing... waited forever for the bill to gtf out.., got tired of waiting and walked out without even paying.. went back in and threw some $ at the cashier cuz we had no idea what the bill was.. hope we threw enough.. Will never go back!!!!!!
Very terrible service waiter we go to the back could and finally I had to get other people to help me with my food at my table my steak was cooked medium when I asked for medium whale very little pink It was sent back and re cooked a little longer if it came back still medium in the middle very disappointed beg dictator was not fully cook but hot when I ordered off the menu I saw rib eye steak 1499 the waiter never told me that it was the wrong order and charge me 1999 for my meal. once my plate was put down waiter should come back 5 mins later to the table to make sure all is well. not happy on my waiter. sad you have to get other employees for your help. nice watching 2 employees cut up behind the bar so wrong.
It took about 10 minutes for anyone to take our drink order and about another 10 minutes to order our food. We ordered our food and 15 minutes later we were out of chips and our drinks were empty around half of that time. Very poor service today. This is the second visit in a row where we have had very poor service. Not sure my family will try a third time.
We were in the restaurant 7/12. Had to wait on a table while they cleaned which was ok. However the lady cleaning did not use disenfectant and also wiped with a cloth she used on other tables..I cleaned the table with Clorox wipes myself that I carry everywhere. Service was good and food good. I called to tell them and the lady on the phone argued with me . I stood there and watched all this happen.wont be back until this covid 19 is gone,
Took my Mom to her favorite restaurant for her 93rd birthday. When we did not order mixed drinks the waiter lost interest in us. When he finally got the food out most of the plates looked very nice but were not cooked well. I ordered the #8 and that is what the waiter said, how am I to remember what number I ordered. When I got my plate it was on a large gold plate and looked terrible. I thought I just paid $8.99 for a dried up cheese enchilada, small dab of guacamole (not even on a bed of lettuce) and a chip with some chili con queso. It was so disappointing and if I had been by myself I would have said something then but did not want to because of my Moms birthday celebration. If we go again I will order off the child menu and I am sure it would look better and taste better i am sure it will not be dried up. The best thing on the table was the green beans that my aunt ordered, they were delicious. I hope you will take the time to check out your quality control!
Upon walking in the staff acted annoyed we were even there, the prices were pretty high for the quality of food served. I used to be a waitress, so I understand that server vs staff dynamic. We were polite, and warm to everyone and yet it was met with cold attitudes.
I don’t normally leave reviews but, what a disappointment this place was. I’m annoyed that we wasted money here. This place has some of the highest prices for any Mexican style restaurant I’ve ever seen! Staff is rude and unwelcoming. Food is mediocre at best and the chips that they didn’t refill once were stale. The floor was filthy and the middle wall between tables was covered in dust. 😐$40 check for my husband and I getting one of the cheapest items on the menu, both got waters, and no appetizers..I’m honestly surprised at all the positive reviews for this place and I don’t even have high standards for restaurants...lol
Its was well recommended by my boss, so, My sons and I went yesterday for early dinner. First , there was long curly womans hair on one of my sons water glass. Our server while we are ordering our food said what do you want instead of what would you like to order?. Second, I ordered rib eye steak medium and I got well done. Third, ordered flan that tasted like box made. Their portions are big the service was alright ,but the hair issue grossed me out. Sorry.
Chicken fried chicken had little taste. The white gravy tasted strange and was watery. Could not taste any garlic in the mashed potatoes. Salad bar was barely adequate. Half of the ingredients bowls were nearly emepty. Prob worst experience I have had there. Have had much better food with actual tast on my visit last year.. at least they kept our tea filled.
The entire experience was 5 star. Went around 6pm on a friday night and was able to be seated almost immediately after entering. Chips and salsa brought within the first 2 mins of being seated, waitress was very friendly had frequent table visits to ensure everything was okay. All of the support staff were very involved in the serving experience as well, had a busser, manager, and another waitress all stop by to make sure we werent needing any refills which speaks leaps and bounds about their priorities and training. Highly recommend if traveling through Brenham
The beer-a-rita was delicious though a bit overpriced at $13.90. My friend had the casserole appetizer and ate every bit. I ordered the shrimp stuffed jalapenos. When I make stuffed peppers, I remove the seeds and membranes. This was not the case with these. I like it hot however I couldnt eat them then and the peppers were also under cooked. They were better today once I reheated and removed the seeds and membrane. Probably wont eat those again there.
Nice place. Quickly upon being seated, we were treated with chips with Rojo and plain Queso; I found out you have to ask for Verde and it is very good. Though they have a steak menu and a pasta menu, I stuck with Tex-Mex and was not disappointed when I ordered my Holy Trinity consisting of a Crispy Beef Taco, a Beef Enchilada and a Tamale with Rice and Beans. All of the dishes were prepared very well and tasted really good. We got there after the lunch rush on a Sunday but the place was still pretty clean and tidy. We will definitely be back.
We visit Brenham a couple of times a year just as a small little get away from the hustle of Houston. We usually only eat in the Downtown Historical part of brenham, but while waiting for shops to open before heading home we decided on this place. It seems typcial, nothing special. The menu is large, almost endless. Theres just so much going on. Out waiter wasnt terrible by any means he was very poilte, he just seemed scrambled and/or distracted. I will say every staff that passed our table asked if we needed anything and that was great! This place filled up with guests FAST. We arent the sit, eat and leave types. We enjoy our meals, have conversations and just feel the atmosphere of places we dine at.The food came timely, but it wasnt anything to write home about. My enchilads werent really enchiladas and the plate has everything mixed up. Beans are ontop of lettuce fixings, guac slapped ontop of that. I wasnt really excited about that when seeing it for the first time. It seems sloppy and rushed. Huge portions. The flavors are nice, but like mentioned just average.I asked for a ginger ale and not one staff member knew what I was talking about. Not a huge deal! Didnt really mind that. Just a little funny to me I guess.Ordered a few drinks, some werent available. It was just a very rushed kind of experience. It seemed staff wanted us to eat and get. We wont be returning here, but I can see why the locals would. Causal and comfort foods with flare.
Our food was spoiled we ordered shrimp enchiladas the waiter never came back and checked on us after we ordered something different. We had to ask for the check then when it was time to pay we went up front cause the waiter never came back...I will never return because of the poor service
Overall good food but theyve really jacked their prices lately. The place is noisy. The service is mostly good.If you want Tex Mex OR steak there are better, cheaper, and less noisy options in Brenham and surrounding towns. But if you and your crew want Tex Mex AND steak, they have probably the best combined options and quality, albeit at a premium.
Saw a picture of the Chipotle Tacos from a reviewer and had to try them. Wow! As I was finishing and licking my plate ... Well you get the picture. The Enchilada Pablona was also fantastic. The sauce would be good on anything the serve. We were eating the sauce with a spoon. It was that good.
The service is EXTREMELY SLOW!!!!!! Once arriving 745pm, we were seated quickly. We had a big party where every one was on time. It took them till 9pm to get out food orders. Most of us were full on chips and salsa. By the way was pretty good. The meal itself wasnt tht great!!!!
On Friday 4/6/19 Me and a group of ladies went in for dinner. We had seen some reviews and thought this would be a nice place to eat. Oh how I was mistaken. I have never been so disappointed with the lack there of service in a restaurant establishment. We walked in and had seen that they were busy and waited but not for too long. When we were seated one of the ladies in my group had asked or a half and half margarita and was quickly told Could you pick an easier drink, the bar is busy, shocked she just went ahead and ordered something else. We didnt let that stop us from enjoying our time with one another and continued on. We proceeded to order queso with our drinks. Understanding they were busy we tried to be as patient as could be. Later I had to flag our waiter down for him to finally take our order. Mind you I had to basically yell Ecuse e 3 times for him to even look at our table. He seemed annoyed and took our order and left without asking if we needed anything further. When asked about the queso he informed us that it wasnt ready. 25 minutes later we asked again about the queso. He left and then came back with our queso along with the rest of our food. One of the other ladies I was with looked at her plate puzzled as it was not what she had ordered. Our waiter proceeded to waive his hand in her face asking what her problem was. I informed him that her order was wrong and that if I could speak to his manager. I have myself waited tables for 3 years and understand that some nights can be harder than other but this was completely unacceptable. He looked at me and said nothing. I got up from our table and walked to the front to speak to a host in regards to their manager. I waited in line to speak to her and as I told her what had happened she seemed apologetic. She later came to our table and asked if we needed anything as our waiter still had not returned. I then asked for a different waiter. We got a new waiter and then asked for our checks. I asked for our queso to be removed as we were unable to enjoy it and it was not. We went and paid for our checks and left. We were in no way compensated in anyway for the horrible service. I will never return to this place and will be sure to tell my family and friends of this horrible experience so they can spare their time and money.
Very disappointing. Have been to the Los Cabos restaurant in Columbus many times and the food is excellent. However their location in Brenham leaves a lot to be desired. We had Taco Salads for lunch. Both salads had a LOT of lettuce, much more than is ever served at the Columbus location. And the pieces of meat were huge! They had to be cut with a knife into 3 and 4 pieces. The service was good. Our drinks were refilled 3+ times and the servers were very nice. The Salsa and Cueso with chips was very good.
Excellent food fast friendly service, never had to ask for anything. They were always checking to see if i was ok and needed anything. Didnt have my usual dish Chori Pollo but i got something else, cant pronounce it. It had grilled chicken smothered in peppers, onions cheese and mushrooms served with pinto beans in a bowl, rice and something like a salad i cant pronounce either.
My son lives in Brenham and this is his favorite mexican food restaurant. They serve really good food that is fresh and large portions. I like to eat healthy and had the chicken soup which was delicious and filling. Plus I had a street taco that was very good. The service is good, friendly and the place is lively. A Mariachi Band was performing while we were there and they were excellent. I should know since I grew up in San Antonio! Also they have soft serve ice cream that is free when you are ready for dessert if you can find room for it. Reminds me of when I was growing up and it was little things like that that kept my family going back for more. This was my 2nd time to the restaurant and just as good.
10-19-18. stopped in for lunch on our way to Houston, had no idea I was about to eat one of the best dishes I have ever tasted. I highly recommend the Pollo Relleno, it is incredible. everyone in my party enjoyed their meal. wait staff was polite, and tended to us very well. I will also say that the menu is extensive, lots of choices ! good atmosphere, clean dining area. and if thats not enough, you can treat yourself to free ice cream cones on the way out ! Well done Los Cabos !
Food was good just the service was terrible. Service was very slow and not friendly. Received stares from a few restaurant employees, just made my family and I feel uncomfortable and like they were talking about us. It was my wifes and I anniversary and we wanted too try some place different which was Los Cabos and just terrible experience.
Service was bad, food was worse. They were busy so it was understandable that it was slow. But when several tables in the same section get up to fill their own drinks, plates are sent out incomplete, fries tasted like they were fried yesterday, and the crispy tacos are so sogy they wont hold anything, they need help, and LOTS of it.
SOMETHING ... has happened with this resturant. It was my favorite for 2 years Not anymore. Servers dont understand English, they ignore you once they serve you.The food is now very pricey and not very good anymore. On mothers day the food had everyone in my party of four sick later that evening.Unfortunately, I am very wary of the food served here.
I was here for a local business meeting with an insurance group. Ive been to other Los Cabos locations and have enjoyed them. This was the first time I have been to one where a room was reserved for a group and a buffet style meal was served. We had a group of about 55 people and the room was at full capacity. The buffet consisted of beef and cheese enchiladas, rice, beans, quesadillas, chips and dip. All fresh and hot. The waiters were friendly and attentive. They werent quite on point as to when we were starting to serve. Another attendee and I had to remove the plastic wrap from some of the serving trays but about halfway thru a waiter came rushing over and apologized and finished removing the plastic wrap from the remaining platters.By far the highlight of the evening was when the restaurant Manager sang the National Anthem prior to the start of our meeting. He was simply amazing! I have never heard a rendition of the National Anthem at an event that came anywhere near the quality that this gentleman performed with. It was impeccable. Truly it was. With all that said, I would definitely recommend having any function, whether or personal or professional, at Los Cabos in Brenham. Great food and great staff! Thank you all!
Traditional Tex-Mex fare. Nothing on the menu that jumps out at me to recommend. They do everything pretty well. Baby back ribs and shrimp brochette are personal favorites. They also have Nancys Steakhouse as part of their offering, so you can get a pretty decent steak.
My fiance, me and my twin babies traveled from Navasota to eat in Brenham. The name of the restaurant caught my eyes so we came in. We felt like we were at home as soon as we walked threw the doors. Everyone was so happy and greeted us. We had great food and great service. Everyone was enjoying the twins and were very friendly.
Ive been there on multiple occasions, and everytime the food has been terrible. The parking lot is full of holes and the wait is always 30 mins or longer, and they have closed off sections that could be opened up. Not to mention the menu is pricey. The last thing is there is an employee who sings his own version of happy birthday to guest, as if this was an opera house. It is rather annoying to have this man bellowing across the room, while you are trying to have a conversation and eat. Not a good experience. I liked it better when this place was Percells.
Was visiting friends in the area, and I was craving Mexican food, so this was where they chose. I ordered the Spinach & Mushroom Enchiladas, and Id hoped for more of both, inside. But, the sauce was nice and light, just the right amount of cheese - not too much, as I was trying to order healthy.I WAS disappointed about the Chalupas Compuestas containing GROUND beef, rather than fajitas, because thats how Ive always had them everywhere else. Thats why I didnt order this dish. The chips were good, and both the SALSA and the Queso were FANTASTIC! However, the iced tea (unsweetened) tasted old, which wasnt great. We were there for LUNCH, and as a former restaurant manager, there should have been FRESH TEA - that batch may have been from the night before.Overall, not bad, but wont be going back the next time I visit.
I visited Los Cabos in Columbus and wanted to share it with my daughter. One evening we were searching for a place to have dinner and lo and behold, a Los Cabos in Brenham!I had the Fajitas Diablo, mixed chicken and beef. Although the beef wasrather chewy, the flavor was out of this world. My daughter kept stealing my onions, because they were caramelized perfectly. I dont know about you, but I cant stand to get a plate of food with barely cooked or half cooked onions, when they are supposed to be caramelized. But I digress. The beans were cooked properly and seasoned quite nicely, as was the rice. I had a pina colada, and my daughter had the jumbo margarita. I wasnt impressed with my drink. These days, its difficult to get an old-school drink that tastes like its supposed to. Bartenders are not so accustomed to making them, or they use a mix. This place is no different. My daughter thought the margarita should have packed a little more punch, as well. Nonetheless, I will go to this restaurant again and again. This chain is onto something. I hope they do well.
We arrive about 6:40 on a Tuesday nite. Not overly busy so we were seated quickly. 10 minutes later our waiter came and took our drink order ( water & iced tea). Just as I was getting ready to walk out he came to take our food order. I ordered carne asada ( that had cheese sauce on it) with peppers and onions. Sides were to be charro beans & mixed veg. I asked for another charr O beans to replace the mixed veggies. Waiter said no problemo. Wife ordered a plat with an enchillada & taco. Food came pretty quick via a delivery guy....havebt seen waiter in awhile. First the carne asada was DICED in small pieces...and that wasnt on the menu. I got mixed veggies and NO charro beans. My wifes taco was so soft from grease she couldnt pick it up. Above and beyond terrible service and run of the mill Tex-Mex....the place was loud. I left with a headacheistening to two women talk out loud...probably so they could hear above the overly loud place. Both had annoying cackkws for laughs.
This restaurant was fantastic we ate there this evening the food was beyond the best however the wait staff is unbelievable they they get a thousand stars out of five I cant wait to meet my friends there again if its a halfway point from Austin to Houston it is wonderful
Horrible . we were charged dinner prices at lunch and brought it up to cashier and she said they change their prices last june but theres a lunch menu insert in the menu. On top of that our food was cold and soggy . are poor server looked like he was having a hard time keeping up waited almost 5 minures before we got our water. Not going back EVER what a rip off
Our order took a long time to come out of the kitchen, Then once it came out of the kitchen she got side tracked and left it sitting on the table next to us. My meal was burnt, but I didnt dare send it back because no telling when it would of returned !!Once we got our meal the waitress was missing in action till she brought us our bill, no refills or nothing !! Except the bus boy brought us a chip refill.I will admit they were busy because of the Christmas Parade, but the management could of scheduled more staff because they knew the event was going to happen a long time in advance.
I ordered enchiladas, which are hard to screw up, but I got microwaved tortillas covered in the green chip salsa. Then as my fiancé and I asked for the check we saw a little rat poke its head out from under the booth next to us. Safe to say well never go there again.
Great place for anything you want to eat. This place is phenomenal and I travel a lot and have eaten in quite a lot of restaurants. If this place was in Austin or in Houston it would be talked about with great reviews. I live in Austin and work in Houston so I love stopping here.

2022-04-12My family and I were headed to Houston, and we stopped here to eat.Very great food. Tasted amazing! I ordered shrimp tacos and they were HUGE, the taste was incredibly good! Our server did an awesome job, and the food did not take long! Huge quantity food portion for a reasonable price. I would definitely go again.

2022-05-19Good food, great atmosphere, and you can tell it is a very popular place! The only complaints I would have is the time it took to place and receive our order, and everything seemed spicy (im also a wimp, so take that with a grain of salt)! Our son loved his pizza, and the shrimp tacos were delicious, the sauce was spicy, but the shrimp was perfect! My husbands green enchiladas were super creamy and rich! We would go back!

2021-06-27We were worried when we saw the massive menus but they delivered an outstanding meal and quickly. Not only is the menu massive so is the dining area and this place delivers. We also got the margaritas my husband got the prickly pear and I got the watermelon they were really good i would have liked to have had them without the pre-made lime Margarita base, but they were still really good

2022-07-03Absolutely love this restaurant! I only come here when passing through between Austin/Houston but I go out of my way to come here. Strongest margaritas I’ve ever had at a Tex Mex restaurant and the Diablo fajitas are a must try! Very good flavor, will be back thank you!

2022-07-07Brenham is a lovely town with beautiful murals on the sides of the local stores. It has family friendly parks and clean restaurants such as Los Cabos Mexican Restaurant. My grandchildren enjoyed their tacos from the children menu. My daughter and I enjoyed our fajitas and beef enchiladas. The waiters were polite and efficient. The manager came to our table personally to ensure that our meal was delicious. Please visit Brenham, Texas. You will enjoy a pleasant outing!!!

2022-04-07It was scarcely populated and service still took forever. After waiting over 30 minutes for the food, the shrimp I was served was rotten. I pushed my plate away and had to call someone to come take it, even though several employees saw me spit the rotten food into a napkin and push it away, and continued to watch me until I finally flagged someone down. It was awful awful. And expensive considering they will serve turned food to customers. I will not come back.

2022-03-19Great food loved the fajitas. They had great flavor and homemade tortillas. They give you queso for free. Ive been to a ton of Mexican restaurants and have never been given queso with chips and salsa. Will definitely go here when Im in the Brenham.
