Ordered my riding lawn mower from the Gun Barrel TX store online. I was supposed to get it delivered 2 days after ordering it,but no one showed. Called the following day to see why it hadnt arrived and they told me that no delivery drivers showed for work,but promised me that it would be delivered this day,so I had someone come over and wait again all day long,but again, no delivery,no call,nothing!!!! I will buy from home depot...
I thought Henry was our go to guy when my Momma needed a new washing machine and even wrote him a really good review to boot!!! Well,...come to think about it, Henry the sales guy did kinda push us to feel obligated to write him a good review so that he could win a free lunch. Yeah!!! He seemed knowledgeable enough to sale a washing machine. Now here we are on washer#4. My Mom is 74 years old, barely 100lbs, with medical issues as well! She should not have to go through all these changes concerning a washer!!! All the washers had different issues and had to be sent back to Lowes! One of the washers NEVER made it through one single washing cycle bc its motor was obviously not working, as it just wouldnt spin!!!...The washer made lots of noises that washers arent supposed to make though!!!! It was a Samsung washer. Unfortunately we had them come get it a day or two after purchase!!!! My Mom bought a warranty along with this Samsung. This was in November, weve tried telling these people to take the charges off her Lowes card, but the charges for the defected Samsung washing machine & the warranty are STILL on her card!!! WHY cant Lowes or Henry, the manipulating sales guy, do whats right???? My Mom will not be treated unfairly by Lowes bc Ill make sure of it!!! Taking advantage of the elderly is pathetic!!!! Im definantly questioning the integrity of Lowes & their standards as well!!!! My elderly Mom should have been able to purchase her washer ONE TIME then go enjoy it with no problems!!! Lowes, you need to do what is right and take the washer & warranty off my Moms Lowes card!!! It was a Broken washer when you delivered it to her house!!! Ill make sure this is widely heard until the people at Lowes makes this right!!!! What a shame!!!!
A few days ago I walked into Lowe’s in Gun Barrel City. Just a weary traveler looking for a spare tire for a piece of equipment. This moment will forever be one of the coolest experiences of my life. So I walk in and the staff was having a team meeting in front of the entrance. Instead of just going about their meeting, do you know what they did? They all turned and looked at me and smiled. I was instantly excited and cracked a joke, “Is this all for ME?”. And do you KNOW WHAT THEY DID? They said yes and started cheering for me! There were like 15 people giving me a round of applause and they said “Welcome to Lowe’s!” I’m telling you, it was beautiful. Every time I go into that store the staff is extremely helpful and show me exactly where to go to find what I need, but this time they really went above and beyond. Truly once in a lifetime experience. Good job team, you all rock!!!
10 years of going to this store learning where most things were. I went in one afternoon and everything had been moved. What normally would have taken 10 min. Took 1 hr!! I was running around Lost along with the sales team looking for the material I needed. Maybe if they dont move everything in the store . AND providing I live another 10 years. It will be productive to visit again.
Service was nearly non existent. Price, meaningless because they didnt have a full set of everything I would need to do my project even with about 5 options of material type. Quality of products needs improvement. I would prefer to pay a little more for higher quality products. I hate constantly having to redo projects because the poor quality of material available. Next visit: They only had womens sun hats in one size, wrong. $20 for a set of meter leads? Thats nuts. I was able to get a filter for my A/C. The service was better.
My favorite place to go for home repairs and some of the staff can be extremely helpful. The older gentleman employee at GBC Lowes helped me get everything I would need to fix my plumbing and even gave me detailed instructions on how to hook it all up to my water heater.
If their was a 0 star I would rate. I am a Construction Manager for a residential home builder. I am trying to help a neighbor do Seawall repairs. I ordered 3 pallets of concrete before Thanksgiving with an assured delivery from Lowe’s Pro Associates for December 4th in Am. The time right now is 4:33 pm and no delivery and a crew sitting around waiting at $500 a day. Lowe’s still will not verify an exact delivery time. What an embarrassment of a business to not provide product when promised to the customer. LOWES, ever wonder why I do not give you the chance at any of my customer home builds? You cannot even deliver 120 bags of concrete when promised to the customer. Lowe’s For Pros is a joke!! Their is nothing professional about the service to actual real Professionals!N. Lowes does not even rate a one star rating. It would be a big 0 if it were possible. The customer service is non-existent. Issues are never resolved even when they agree it is an error on their part. I have waited on hold for hours to speak to someone with authority to assist me and resolve a problem. The only thing the customer service representatives can say are canned boiler plate statements which may or may not have anything to do with the issue Im experiencing. Unfortunately Lowes is the only builder supply within 30 miles so they have no competition and customers are at their mercy.
Impossible to get help! This store has employees all over the place but they are unfriendly and seem to be just walking around aimlessly unable to assist you with simple basic questions. Getting an associate on the phone is virtually impossible. Its disappointing that they act like they are the only game in town and even if that is somewhat true it really isnt how people want to be treated... I may have to drive to Corsicana Home Depot or Tractor Supply or even Ace to do business if they dont turn their customer service around. Lowes use to be such a great store...
Seems like every time I visit, Im having to wait longer and longer to not only get or find help, but the new employees have even less training on just about everything. Kind of pointless being a Pro here.Also, pretty annoyed we waited over an hour for one of their fork lift drivers to grab a stack of treated 2x4s, which never happened. Seen them bring something in from outside (that no one was waiting for, and had a full pallet on the shelf already), and then leave the forklift. We then decided to go with untreated for the project.Need to petition Home Depot or Menards to open a location close by... They need competition to fuel the stores, Customers First efforts, which are heavily lacking.
I had bought a beautiful red hibiscus the last time I visited this location so I returned to buy a few more. Unfortunately they were out of hibiscus and because of the heat most of the flowers that they did have looked heat stressed and damaged. I will return in the fall if they have mums and hopefully the weather will cooperate and not damage them before I can buy a few.
It is less expensive than Home Depot for essentially the same products. However just like Home Depot, trying to get someone to help you locate something you need is somehow worse at Lowes than Home Depot. You always feel like your interrupting and bothering a staff member on the floor...as they look just as lost as the customers.
I came into Lowe’s and asked what the prices for 2x6x10 piece of lumber is because their labels are not always correct and the specific pieces of lumber didn’t have a price tag on it. I asked a Pro services employee and I was quoted $14 and some cents per piece. I said ok I’ll go get my truck. When I came back, the sales associate scanned the lumber and said it was actually $11 and some cents a piece, so I thought great. When I get to the check out, cashier says it’s actually $20 and some cents PER PIECE. I mentioned that I was quoted a different price by employees. I spoke to Amanda the store manager about it and after explaining the miscommunication and Lowe’s employees quoting me a different price, Amanda refused to honor the price quoted by Lowe’s employees and she was real patronizing and belligerent towards me. Amanda, the store manager, said she would honor ONE piece of lumber at $11 and the rest would be at $20. It’s the first time in my life I’ve ever really felt discriminated against. Let alone by a Lowe’s representative.I will update this review if anything changes.
Well, I’ll start by saying just going into the gun barrel store is is absolutely ridiculous trying to get any help.Finally was suppose to receive my stove today. Couldn’t give me a closer time frame, I took off work. 9:30-1:00… they got here at 10.:30, but it was the wrong stove and these guys at first had me on their schedule and it suddenly disappeared. So they left… no call, waited and waited and I finally called. Waited on hold for over 20 mins. Trying to get it figured out. 29 mins later I get a call they’ll be here in 30 mins.Funny thing is this EXACT same thing happened to my parents a month ago. They waited and waited and waited for there delivery and no one ever showed. They call to find out the refrigerator they ordered was back ordered. Poor customer service. Then they bought and new washer and got it and it was scratched. Needless to say they waited so long for it they needed it.I so wished we had a Home Depot here. I never had any problems when I lived in Wills Point and shopped in Terrell at Home Depot.I have lived in Mabank for 5.5 years now and I’ve never cared for Lowe’s and there customer service. At least not this one. Sad it’s all we ha e, really. The garden center is the only part that’s 1/2 way descent!
Very rude customer running around the store with no mask cuts right in front of me while I was waiting for my receipt. I dont care for him getting in my face because he has a question to ask the check out person. Stay six feet away and wait your turn. The girl at the check out should have finished my transaction and made him wait.
I understand that the unnecessarily extended high unemployment payments are making it difficult to fully staff most businesses so Im not blaming Lowes management for the lack of help on the floor most of the time. However, it is very frustrating to place orders online to save time and have those orders canceled by your store supposedly because the item is out of stock but I walk in there the same day and find several units of that item in stock. This store management needs to get the online side of operations in order. Get the item locations (aisle & bay numbers) and inventory updated and properly maintained on the store website, PLEASE!Also, tell your cashiers to stop selecting printed receipt without asking the customer what they prefer. They keep selecting printed receipt on their monitor while Im waiting to select both printed and email at the card terminal.
Im very dissappointed in our small town Lowes. Ive been treated rudely by Bambi three times. She has no business working a service desk. Its not that hard to show common courtesy. Evidently it is for her.They dont seem to be able to keep vital materials in stock. Im constantly having to ask for stock to be pulled from upper shelves.The only bright spot is cashier Crystal. She can multi task several headaches at one time and still show common courtesy to everyone involved. Francine and her helped with a difficult situation with such proffesionalism and kindness. I didnt feel so bad about my little problem. Thanks ladies.
Not great. Employess are just warm bodies that no nothing about what they are selling. Carts stay loaded and hard to find an empty one. Prices on lumber have skyrocketed, Im sure thats every where and isnt Lowes fault. Employes are friendly, just not very knowledgeable and are never easy to find in departments.
Donna was extremely rude when we were spending over $3000. We flip houses and have spent a substantial amount of money at this store. I tried to show her where the flooring we were purchasing had been marked down. She told me they would not honor prices from online or in the app. The wrong price tag was placed with the drywall we got, also. She was very rude and I’m very upset that we spend so much money here to get treated this way.
Would give 0 stars if I could! Every time I’ve been in here I can never find an employee to help me in the department I need help in! Despite other employees “calling” someone over to help me! The Lowe’s in FORNEY is better than this one with customer service! Like others have said either go to the ace(groom and sons) in town or go to Home Depot in Terrell! I swear Home Depot always has the better service!!
Bought a washer and dryer from the Gun Barrel City store and they were to deliver three different times. After hours of waiting they would call.and cancel. Just awful.service!Dont do any business with this store. They are very disorganized.Update: We have just been rescheduled a 4th time!!!Wont ever buy at Lowes again!!!!
Horrible service in the appliances department.i wanted to buy a refrigerator,and person working that department was chit chating with a customer,and thats fine.but after 20mins of standing 5 feet from them i never got any acknowledgement i exsisted and took anouther 10-12 minutes to find anyone else to help me!!
Ordered a chest freezer online picked it up and when we got it home and out of the box it was damaged, I called 3/19/21 around 8 pm and talked to the manager he was very friendly and said he knew it was an inconvenience but we could take it back and get a new one. We live an hour away so he said it was okay to take it back the following day since we wouldnt make it before the close.. The associates that were working CUSTOMER SERVICE were ignoring the CUSTOMERS and listening to there fellow associate complain about how he was 30 minutes late for his lunch. They were rude when the finally decided to help the customers. Didnt hide the fact that they didnt want to be there! This was on 3/20/21 around 8:00pm.
For the most part I can usually get what I need and be in and out real quick. I used to work here years ago and they always worked having a skeleton crew. I guess things haven’t changed much because they still are. Don’t be surprised if you can’t find anyone to help with your question, more than likely that person is overworked and in another department helping someone that they shouldn’t having to be helping with in the first place.
Dont bring anything back (at Gun Barrel Texas)they treat you like a common criminal at this Lowes ,even with receipts, maybe they need fire there customer service people who act like they dont even want to help you,,you want a great Lowes drive to Sulphur Springs Texas ,or Go drive further to ,Thats a great ideal Lowes go hire some Home Depot ,people to run your stores,sorry I forgot Lowes dont pay the same,The old saying is so so true,You Get What You Pay For!!HOME DEPOTthey are kind ,helpful and never disrespectful,Attention everyone if you dont like the job you have find another one dont be a 🐴 a,, There are more jobs than people to feel them!!!!
Just walked out. Was hesitant to leave a review. But there is never anyone there to help. Never. Walked all the aisles of the store it seemed like and not an employee to help.If you don’t know where the product your looking for is go to Grooms N Sons because there is no employees at Lowe’s to help you find it.If your needing help loading garden materials or something in lumber go to Groom N Sons because there is no one to help you load at Lowe’s.Home Depot in Terrell is great too.
Do not purchase anything from this store that they have installed. I purchased carpet and had Lowe’s install it as well. They ruined three doors and scratched up all the walls. After making them aware they pointed fingers and never call back or fix the problem. Go to Nebraska Furniture Mart if you need anything. Nebraska is very professional and cheaper.
Worst customer service ever!! Waited in plumbing section for 20 minutes, nobody ever came to help. I went back to customer service area, plumbing dept was paged to come to cstr svc area, waited another 20 minutes, no show Jones never showed up!! Mgr was surly, walked off never to be seen again. Another customer service rep advised after about an hour of total waiting time, that they dont even sell part I needed, they lost my business forever, Ill go to Home Depot in Dallas from now on, thanks for nothing....
I just purchased a refrigerator, and requested it to be delivered a week later after the purchase, in which at that time the schedule was wide open. I requested an 8-12 slot, and their 3rd party delivery company (because Lowes does not deliver) called to schedule my delivery, and told me 1-5 would be my time slot 🤔 thats not what I requested. The 3rd party scheduler proceeded to tell me they do the scheduling, not Lowes, I said ok, well I prefer morning because we had things to do. Keep in mind, Ive been without a refrigerator for 6 months while dealing with insurance, and Im over this being pushed around. Soooo..at 6:50pm, SIX FIFTY PM ... the delivery company guys finally called, but their truck GPS couldnt find my house..🙄 why? because I dont live in a city street, I guess. Then it turned into a fiasco, my husband had to go chase the truck down on the highway, to lead them to our house...I will NEVER EVER buy anything that has to be delivered by Lowes- if I cant carry it out, Ill go elsewhere!!!!!!I even called the appliance section and the lady who took my call, could have cared less- they got the sale... whatever happened to Customer Service?
DO NOT use Lowes for kitchen counter tops. We purchased counter tops, someone came out from Irving Counter Tops and measured and there was supposed to be a 30 space for a stove. I sold our old stove and when went to purchase a new stove we measured the space to be sure and it was less than 30 and that is what stoves are now days - 30We called Irving Counter Tops and was told they measured right but who ever made them didnt do them right. Gave us another number to call and no one will call us back. Weve been 5 weeks without a stove and we shouldnt have to pay for fixing this. Lowes is NO help at all! All they say is they are aware of the problem and someone should be calling us. We just dont know what century they are talking about.
Tried to purchase about $230 worth of product at your store tonight. I was told there was no cash accepted at the store tonight. Dropped all I had to purchase and went to Walmart. Thanks to Walmart in Gun Barrel City for having all I needed and accepting my cash. Next time, Walmart, Groom and Sons Ace Hardware, the flooring store or Dollar General but no more Lowes unless I am totally unable to find what I want anywhere else. Your pointless policies caused a $230 loss in sales Lowes...Congratulations!
This is actually a wonderful location! The store is laid out in a manner which makes sense (and seems uniform to more locations than not), and the staff is always very helpful in finding whatever we have gone in for. As anyone who has been to such a behemoth of a hardware/home improvement store knows— finding a tiny screw, bolt, faucet, or set of the above can occasionally prove more of a challenge than it should. If such ends up being the case, there should be no problem at this location. I have found certain items to be out of stock on occasion, but given the specificity of said items (being that they’re seasonal) and the surrounding population/housing, it completely makes sense that they may run out of things from time to time; stock always seems replenished in a prompt manner!
Lowes as a store is great but Gun Barrel City needs to work on their customer service. Ended up having to call main office to get the help I needed after this stores upper floor management wouldnt help me. But if you know what you want and dont need help then the store is great!
I work for Lowes when I was in my twenties work for 5 years there load my job went from one end of the building to the other lumber build materials full crib hardware Millworks paint and finally and inside lawn and garden work my way to a department manager fencing the opportunity to be in a assembler first lows was an assembler for almost a year when they bought a new manager into the store and I was making too much money to me and similar for him I didnt want to go back to the floor I was really happy with the position I had so I wound up turning in my two week notice
Very helpful employees. But the inventory of PVC parts in the plumbing department is abysmal. They didnt even have 3/4 nipples... of any length. Thats ridiculous. I had to get brass. Fortunately I prefer brass but the brass is 10 to 15 times more expensive than the PVC. For those who are tight on money that is hurtful.
Was extremely disappointed that half of the people werent wearing masks and employees didnt seem to care. Which I know, its not a law. BUT, dont put signs up at the register saying cashiers clean register after every customer if your not going to do it. That was the furthest thing from my cashiers mind. Also, I had to ask her to bag my 6 boxes of light bulbs and a book. She was expecting me to just carry all that on my own. Will only be ordering online from now on. And NOT from Lowes!
They cant put money from your debit card back on your debit card if they make a mistake in the amount. I went to pay 300 on my lowes card and because I hit my head three times on the plastic divider trying to verify what was on the keypad I just put my pin number in and got my receipt, only to see that my debit card was charged 800! They said they could give me 500 cash but couldnt cancel the transaction and put the 500 back on my card... This is 2020.. So the teller box didnt open and she said it must have gone back on my card. My Lows credit card showed the 500 correction, but no money in my bank or in my hand. I am almost positive this is going to mess up bills that will be processing through my bank.. I dont know where my money is.. My bank was 60 miles from the store and i would have had to have someone take it and deposit it, but I didnt get anything. Im very angry at the way the situation was handled. I work and dont have time for their out of date technology.
I like this Lowe’s as it’s the closest to my home. Its somewhat disorganized and you will often find rude or incompetent employees. On the other hand you will find nice and helpful employees. They offer a military discount where you sign up online and then provide your phone number for verification. But be prepared to now show an ID proving your service as well as the phone number. They also have designated parking for military and veterans which is a very nice touch. I recommend but believe you better know how to navigate the store yourself as the staff is slightly helpful at best.
Customer Service is terrible. Called to check on the status of my washer and asked if I would receive a call when it comes in. Lowe’s response “Your best bet is to continue calling because we may forget to call you when your order comes in” I respect the honesty but for as much as I paid for this washing machine it’s the least you can do. 👎🏼👎🏼
Shame on them. They wouldnt give my Veteran husband a discount today because his phone number wasnt in their system. They are such liars and change those rules every year. They just hate our vets!!!. Wont shop there anymore. The other store home depot always gives him a discount.
I waited over 10 minutes for someone to help me in the molding department. I even called to get someone to help me, it came on the intercome, but no one came. This is not the first time Lowes has done me wrong. This makes 3 times in the last year I am threw with Lowes.
Worst customer service of any store I have been to. Waited over an hour to get someone in home decor, and still know one, I gave up. Went to Home Depot, as soon as I got in the door several employees asked if they could help. In and out having made a custom window treatment order and picked up new hardware for my home improvement projects. Next time Home Depot first.
Had have lawn mower refunded 3 times before I could finally buy and get loaded. It was supposed to be delivered free from Lindale they had to say I refused to refund. Then was on phone for 4 hours and it still didnt get resolved until an hour long wait at Lowes. Need better employee training!
Lowes has most of what you need, when you need it. Some stores are staffed with very helpful, friendly people, while others are staffed with folks who could seem to care less. But it seems to be localised to certain areas and the larger the city where the store is located, the less help and courtesy youll find.
They have too much miscommunication at this store and I ended up having to pay DOUBLE what I was originally quoted by 2 different employees. I spoke to Amanda, the store manager, about it and she literally told me take it or leave it, in front of other customers and employees.
It was a Beautiful Sunday, Lowe’s was busy but misty in the bath section took her time to help us and show us not only the faucets but went out of her way to show us the outdoor plumbing we needed as well. However when it was time to check out the lines were back up since only 4 were open there was an announcement any one that knows how to run a register to come to the front only to see 3 managers standing in the front just hanging out and taking. As a business owner and manager that was disappointing to see.
No organization at all, we buy a microwave and a dishwasher and the lady in appliances forgot to bring the items to the door. We waited for an hour, and check with her, she took other 30 minutes to bring the microwave.Our time is important, no one wants to be at the store full of people for two hours.
Cant find everything due to the pandemic but the employees are still really friendly and helpful. Except a young female check out girl who was coughing and not masked. As a senior citizen that was a bit unnerving at the end. Luckily I was masked and had wipes. Other than that very enjoyable.
I placed an order for a shed on 7-9-2020. Aug. I received a call from a trucking company that wanted to delivery the shed but only had a 18 wheeler and couldn’t get it to our home. I cancelled the order cause there was no way to get it here. On 9-14-2020 I spoke with Shawn regarding a $564. Refund and was told once the store in Gun Barrel City Texas received it we would be issued a refund. Yes it was received at the store. I then went to Lowes Gun Barrel and spoke with Assist Mgr. C.J. who told me then are suppose to respond within 24 hours to customers concerns. He called customer service line and was told my refund was showing pending. I then a week later called him to let him know I still didn’t get a refund with no response. I then called and left a message a week ago and again no response. I called yesterday and was told it was his day off and again I just called and was told it is his day off again. 24 hours has passed over and over and over again with no response on a $564.00 refund. Lowes I want my money!!!!!!
Gotta brag about the service I received from Sarah in the paint department. She took the time to help me create the perfect color I was needing for a DIY project my boyfriend is working on. I appreciate that she didnt just tell me no they dont carry it and it rush me off. I really appreciate the great customer service I received. Thank you so much
Do Not ever buy an extended warranty from this place!! Rip off central!!! Even manager is no help!!!! Details: we bought a washer and an extended warranty. Lowes will not honor this warranty though we have called repeatedly and begged. Our reference number is 0180186216268162658002. Spoke with Laurie then Adrianna then Elizabeth. No one will help us!!!! You crooks took our money and now wont give us what we paid for. We filed a claim: case 8772010-y2w5j1. Still nothing. Been fighting for over a month!!!! I need a washer! I have a house full of kids and I paid for this warranty you wont honor now. Dont buy any extended warranties from Lowes in gunbarrel city texas They are dishonest and unethical.
Absolutely disgusting. The way they treat their workers is a way no one should ever be treated. Especially when a lot of the customers are extremely hostile and degrading for no reason towards workers just trying to do their job. They really couldn’t care less about how they treat the employees even when they’re doing their job properly. Will never shop here and will definitely tell others not to either xx
For the most part, they seem to be on top of things, except for the pickup service. Twice in a row now, I have shown up to get my order after getting notified it was ready and they had issues locating it. I spent at least 45 minutes waiting one of the times. The guy who went to get it seemed in no hurry to do anything and go the wrong thing. He seemed annoyed when I pointed it out to him.
Today I went to Lowes to buy a Circuit to replace the one that keeps flipping. I could not find the one I was looking for so I asked an associate for help. Tom in electrical went above and beyond to help me find what I needed. Thank you Tom for your excellent service. We need more people like Tom in customer service everywhere.
I took out money from my savings account to purchase a washer and long & behold lowes gun barell sold me a defective washer and i called and they simply referred me over to their Maintenance contractor i requested the guy come out look it over he not once opened it up he said it was a electrical issue so i had 2 electritians come out and both said they didn’t see a problem . So guess what im stuck with a brand new pretty washer and lowes said Basically I’ts just too bad !!!!Any suggestions ????????
Has most of your home improvement needs and found nice plants for the flower beds. Was disappointed to hear one of the ladies working out with the parents complaining that some of their customers come every single day. I would think that would be a positive thing since you would develop a relationship with these people and or keeps you in a job but I guess for this person they were just in the way. Could use a little more kindness.
The store has good selection and prices. The problem I have is with the employees. Every time Ive been there has been a bad experience with customer service. Last week I waited in line for over 35 minutes to check out. Only 1 cashier on duty. Also returned an item and waited in that line 30 minutes. Asked for assistance in finding an item and got the Not my area. Im done with this store. Ill drive to TYLER from now on!
When I arrived I was in a very very very bad temper mood outrageous because one time I ordered and me 15th and I didnt get the last shipment till Saturday and they still didnt get the order right then okay I got frustrated Im sorry that my other order I called in the order that I bought at the store they told me they lost my order and so I was very displeased very but thanks to the help of the people at the counter we finally settled it.
The elderly lady working in the blinds Department needs more assistance. Waited for 45 minutes and all she said to me was Ill be right with you. I finally had to put everything I was wanting to purchase back on the Shelf because I had no more time. I only had one question and 2 blinda I needed cut.I appreciate Lowes hiring older people however if they cant keep up they dont need to be there.
After several home improvement purchases and dealing with many employees I have decided the customer service is not great at all! I use this location since it is close to my home and thought some of the expierences I had were maybe just an employee having a bad day. But after 2 weeks in a row of shopping at Lowes I have to give the customer service a zero. Most of the employees are not knowledgeable and sometimes act as if you are bothering them when you are asking questions or picking up a special order. As far as having someone help you load your vehicle when you are purchasing a large amount of product dont count much on it.
They have the slowest customer service. Also I bought a washer and dryer it took them an hour and 15 minutes to bring it to the front and when they did the washer and dryer did not even match on the Brands and plus they were the wrong ones so then they had to go back and get the right ones 2 hours later ridiculous
Vsited several departments this trip, my third ever. Asked about a tool and got informed answer. Went to plumbing and associate knew exactly what I needed and helped me put it all together. So, they are helpful, know their stuff and go above what you would expect. A positive experience.
The fan department was a joke! The first display fans I saw were filthy with dust!!! The overall display was so crowded and crammed, with blades missing and interfering with each other you couldnt get a good view. On top of that the fans I was interested were not on the shelves at all!!!In the end I ignored the display and just studied the boxes on the shelves.The fan manufacturers you carry dont show cubic displacement so I relied in Amazon for that. Many models dont even show the size of the fan, at least not anywhere easily noted. I will be going to Home Depot to make my purchase.
What a ripoff, bought a whole pallet of quikrete mix and little to late i found out it was way too poor of cement. my little slabs cracked. i compared it to a different brand i bought somewhere else and the difference was obvious. be aware, you will get very poor mix quikrete.
This is my go to place for almost all my home needs. The staff is great and very knowledgable. But, today seemed to be a shortage of help. Pallets were in the middle aisles, but it did not seem that anyone was putting the stock on the shelves. Big flat bed buggies that looked like a contractor order was being filled, had no one around them.Anyone can have an off day, but thisnis definitely out of character for this store.
I dont shop Lowes anymore, I drive to home depot, the Lowes in Gun barrel city is by far the worst Ive ever seen, unfortunately its closer but Ill drive around it now to go to Groom and son or Home depot in Terrell, last time I was at Lowes I parked my cart full of lumber to shop the rest of the store, when I came back to my cart all my lumber was put back on the shelves, they need signs for carts, or a parking zone for carts...that was the last straw for me.
This Lowes is consistent in one thing - disappointment. On my latest visit there I learned that their shower fixture selection is poor with no fixtures that adjust flow. They are also unable to find inventory that they say is there. If you have an option to shop at Lowes in Tyler or Palestine I highly recommend avoiding the Gun Barrel City Lowes.
Im always here for anything that I have to get and they have it. I have been in and out of the store every week since it opened. Its close to most of the jobs that I do,and it has a more up scale selection than the depo. Overall its a good feeling about it. Sterling key

It depends on who you get for service, how helpful or who is having a bad day.
Could not find any help even after I pushed the button paging a employee. Waited 20 plus minutes when a employee showed up they said when you decide which one Kitchen Sink, 3 lavatory Faucets and sinks, Door knobs and several other items let me know. They never came back. We live in a area where we have no good shopping stores like LOWES, but if we did I would have walked out taking my business elsewhere. This is not the first time this has happened, but every time I shop your store. Also, there was only one (1) check out personal. The line was backed up with 6 customers. Surely you can train your employees when they are helping a customer you dont just walk away missing a Sale. Need lots of improvements!!
Went in the morning to get some plumbing done passed 2 employees who were leaning and talking then went silent as me and the wife passed no acknowledgement. Then passed by someone on the ladder busy but noticed us and nothing then someone in appliances again avoided eye contact. Passed by tools and a guy was sitting on the counter drinking coffee playing on his phone that right there set the rest of the mood for the management of the store. Friendliest person was the cashier just wish she asked the magical question did you find everything alright. Id rather pay a little more st ace.

I was impressed by their Christmas decorations this year, they always seem to carry the country style of decor in which is pleasing to us cowgirls. Also, they are pleasing to the kids too with their child size tools. Something my grandchildren are very much interested in as their families are in construction.
This is the most disrespectful store Ive ever dealt with Ive had to pay guys labour for setting here waiting on an order to come called to find out whats going on the madden manager Jessica the most disrespectful and illiterate Person you have working for your store tells me that my order will be here in 2 weeks its not only am I out a $3500 order Im out another $1500 in labour I would suggest going to home depot or some other hardware store to get product
This Lowes has always been a pleasant, convenient & relaxed place to shop. Occasionally you have to wait or go in search of help with an item but thats everywhere. Parking is free. Its conveniently located on Main Street right off the freeway. They stock the usual array of a hardware store from lumber to toilets. I can normally get what I need there. Theres a food vendor that sells hot dogs & drinks out front often if you want to eat on the run. They sell gum, mints & soda inside the store.
It is true, when Lowes first opened, there was someone always there to help but it seems that I have to hunt someone down for help the past few years. For that, I would give 3 Stars but I give a 5 Star for Becca in outside lawn and garden. She really knows her stuff and is always helpful.
Now awesome place dont get me wrong just Deffinitly hard to find in stock products sometimes but mainly hard to find any help last time there had 2 different occasions I needed assistance and the 1st time took almost an hr to get help 2nd took around 35 mins so I mean rather then that awesome store wish we also had a home depot though or another lowes added would be awesome
Sorry sorry sorry thats the service I received after trying to reach the plumbing dept. by phone 5 times after being placed on hold and then asked by three different people what dept I was on hold for I was placed on hold to listen to the stores music line after 5min of that I was disconnected I called back and ask to speak to a store manger again three different attempts I was placed on hold then customer service andwered I again asked to speak to a store manager I was placed on hold for 3min then disconnected. I sure hope that everyone else is having better luck than me!
Most of the time real happy with Lowes, but a mower needing service ordeal has got me disgruntled with Lowes, they gave back the wrong lawnmower, with an extended warranty bought to cover anything. Its a long drawn out happening, that whomever they use for service tried to slip by us. We were zonked when it came to servicing our new walk behind mower.
This place is unreal the employees will not help you. The employees stand around talking with each other. I spent$756.00 dollars must not need my money. This is the second time this has happened had to load my stuff because the employees are to lazy to help. You need new management at the Gun Barrel Texas store. Visited to purchase a new ceramic stove top. Found out ours was no longer being manufactured.The sales person, Donna Burrow, Gun Barrel City Texas, went above, and beyond to find us what we needed.So many times people just said, Sorry we cant help you. This lady did. Our new stove top is on its way.I dont usually go to the man store, but I was really impressed with this lady, and her customer service. She works in Tile, and Flooring.Thanks Donna, I can finally cook for my family again! You just dont know what that means to us, thanks from this family of 7!
Using the Lowes app to find what I need makes my visit much easier. This is a great place to take your pet for indoor exercise and socializing. Located in a easy-to-find and quick spot, lots of loading and un-loading area with veteran and pick-up designated parking spots.
With the exception of when the management followed my husband and me around the store cause they thought we were stealing (even though I had a flat cart full of nothing but garden soil) I love our hometown store. I spend way too much time in the gardening section!Advice for the store: hire some AP....the manager was terrible at watching shoplifters Lol
Employees are rude act irritated and say its not my department if you ask where an item would be found in the store. One employee walked me 2 aisles down to a different department and told me that the item I was looking for is in between mid aisle and the other end of aisle on right or left and then turned and walked away from me mumbling.
My wife and I feel like we are being watched all the time. The staff follow us around,especially my wife ,who is handicapped and rides a buggy.This embarrasses her tremendously ! We are not shoplifters and spend a large sum of money there. Lowes is the only place we experience this type of treatment .
If you are in Mabank, or anywhere in 60 miles and you need building or construction material, supplies, tools, saws, nuts and bolts, plumbing, kitchen redos, I got my washer & dryer there, oh yea, my refrigerator, and my dishwasher. All my lumber and insulation for my construction minded friends to do work projects for me. I’m old and slow, but still love the smell of fresh cut wood, a coat of fresh paint, and have some new, or something old newly made over. You must go. And for plants, trees, grass, flowers and all gardening items- if you’re gonna plant something with something- go here and get it!
Great selection of materials. Hard to find help in some depts.. But, if you can find Jack Gilbert. He can help you find anything. He even recommended a knee doctor in Tyler for me. His wife had her knees replaced and he said, this doctor was great. Doctor is independent. So, I dont have to deal with E.T.M.C

2022-06-08I wish I could give customer service no stars. You can call us many times as you like trying to get a lumber take off quote from their pros desk but they’ll never answer. Customer service will continue to put you on hold until you been on hold for more than an hour. And then when you try and call their corporate number to get any issue complete you can expect 2 to 4 hours wait time with no resolution of the issue. I’ve had to order twice a pool cancel the first order because they ““ lost it “and then re-order it only for it to arrive three days late and incomplete. And of course the customer service is only 8 to 5 so there’s no way that the working class can get anything done. Lots of disappointment for my kids I can’t believe I ever shopped at this place. Me and my contracting business will go elsewhere

2022-04-25We bought a Maytag washer and dryer set at this store. Had it delivered, however the delivery company dented the washer. Customer service at the front desk gave us a small discount and gave us our hoses that were missing in the delivery. We started the dryer and it was not even connected to the vent. The delivery guy damaged and bent up 1 of the legs so it now testers and is unstableMy husband went back a second time to the store and they said we should bring the dryer back. Buy another one and hope for reimbursement. No heck no. Escalated to corporate.

2022-05-13My husband and I went to this Lowes last Sunday for lawn mower blades. The box of the blades we needed was empty. We caught the attention of a young man and asked him if they were in stock. He scanned the item and said there were 12 in stock. There were blade boxes on an upper shelf so we asked him to get a ladder. He walked off and never came back. I overheard him mentioning it was lunch time on his cell phone. We waited and tried to look at the numbers pn the boxes but couldnt see them. So, we went to customer service and requested to talk to a manager. The woman manager refused to come help us. Two guys stood around and waited for someone to come as we waited and waited. A young man named Austen came over and said he would helpAnd he did! When he couldnt locate the 12 missing blades he offered us another brand that was compatible. This was after he climbed the ladder and went through all boxes on the upper shelf. What a great asset Austen is to Lowes. He was helpful, patient and was going to help us no matter what. We are thankful to him. As for the rest of the staff....very disappointing. We spent over an hour for some blades that could have taken minutes. Times are tough all over. The right staff makes all the difference.

2022-05-09Specific issues:Ordered 2 weeks in advance, but Im the last for delivery.Multiple missing items on order, but was still charged for them.Wind blew down my carport, so I needed to rebuild it. I ordered over $2000 in material to be delivered. I ordered 2 weeks in advance of when I needed it so no one would be rushed. Delivery day: Not delivered by 5PM, so I called. Delivery managers leave at 4, but deliveries go till 8, and I was still on the list. I called back at 8, and was told the driver was running late. The delivery showed up after 10PM. We had to unload in the dark, by flashlight and headlights. I discovered some missing parts, but couldnt do a completed inventory in the dark. Over $300 of materials were missing (so far). Lowes does NOT leave a delivery list when delivering, so I didnt know if the shortages were charged against me. Monday, at the store, I learned they were charged. If they had not been charged, I would have considered this a delivery fluke. Since they were charged, I got the amount refunded to my Lowes card, then paid off the balance. I will check to see if anything else is missing, then cut up the card. The material still needed will be purchased from another vendor.Lowes used to be my go to vendor. They are now my vendor of last resort for individual items, and under no circumstances a vendor for a project. The people at Lowes are very helpful, but no amount of professionalism can make up for poor internal processes.

2022-06-02Shop at Groom & Son if you can.This store is known in the company as a poor performer and not well run. I know Lowes mgrs in other towns who talk about GBC Lowes bad reputation.Difficult to get anyone who knows the area they are in if you have questions. Their customer service skills at pickup or returns are laughable.Please bring us a Home Depot too.

2022-04-26My husband is 80 years old, disabled, and a veteran. We have had a Lowes credit card for 4 years and never been late on a payment and usually paid in full every month. We have spent thousands of dollars at the Gun Barrel,Texas Lowes. Out of the blue they just closed his account. When I asked why; they said because of his credit score. Shouldnt his 4 years of on time payments account for his credit worthiness? This is how they honor the elderly veterans and their military service? Lowes will never get another dime of our money and even though we have to drive 50 miles; well shop at Home Depot.
