Lowes Home Improvement in other cities:
Every employee passes you & asks ‘how ya doin’ but keeps walking bc they don’t care. 2 guys in flooring, no other customers around, I ask for Mohawk duel carpet pad. They clearly don’t know their product bc they first direct me to the wrong pads, & when I clarify the item, They send me to the back wall, a location that needs employee support. Yet, they don’t come along. When I return to their desk to ask for help finding a specific product/size, they’re nowhere to be found. It’s so very maddening. When we do check out (no carpet pad- I’ll order from Home Depot) we buy 2 chairs that are locked up outside. 15 minutes later, & 3 calls (not exaggerating) from the front end clerk, 2 guys come meandering out. OMG, Lowes couldn’t have worse service. I m reminded why I love Amazon.
Ordered a new item. Assembled it. It was a piece of junk. So many issues, some due to manufacturing, some due to design and quality, some due to shipping damage. Return was painful, had to wait for a manager. Waited and waited and waited while they took care of many other that came after me. Finally returned it. Was also missing the $10 coupon inside. Was new in box, not used, based on packaging. Not pleased. Wasted a lot of time and having to come back jus t to wait even longer. Pick a different Lowes to do business.
We had a pretty critical need for a new cooktop stove. Curt in Appliances had none in stock that we needed, but he got two other stores on the phone to secure one for us and showed no signs of impatience with the time it took. We will most assuredly come looking for him in the future when we need a new appliance!
Great customer service, the gentleman working the home improvements center was great help! When i asked him a generalized question about how to install backsplash he walked me through the steps and made sure i felt comfortable enough to do it on my own. All workers were also equipped with face masks and check out station was sanitized between each customer. Thanks Lowes!
We have been looking around for a refrigerator but couldnt find any worth buying. Today, we walked into the store at 8550 SH 121 in McKinney TX and found some scratch and dents available. Charlie in appliances was able to recommend a good fridge and got us into a dryer as well for a really great price. He and another employee helped us load it into our truck and truly made it an incredible experience. Thank you for employing such friendly people.
I walked in today around 12 PM for a set of small Screws, there I found an Lowes Customer-Service, He is Great. He found the Screw in less than 2 minutes, I am glad to visit this Place. This is my To-Go Store before any other Hardware & Improvement Store. Will Recommend it :)
I was waiting in line for return and it took a while which I really didnt mind. Then after return I went to get my things and manager Wallace stopped by apologizes and paid for my items. I really didnt mind paying for it but he insisted because I waited in line for a while. Amazing customer service.
My family and I were Christmas tree shopping tonight. The trees were much better quality than Home Depot, but the service was not. There was a kid sitting behind the register playing games on an iPad, and he had to call someone else over to help us wrap the tree. The guy who helped us was very nice, but “didn’t know how to tie a tree” to the car, so we’d have to tie it down ourselves, which is fine, but then needed scissors to cut the twine, and the kid sitting in the chair playing games leaned back and pointed to the scissors on the other register and said “they are over there” . A key carrier then came over and said they were closing- I told her we had her scissors. Instead of waiting on me or offering to help or just waiting patiently, she told me to slide them under the gate when we were done. Less personal electronics and earbuds and iPads and more cross training is what I would recommend,
I was there this morning around 10:40am. While I was at the cash register, I asked if I could complete the transaction using my Lowe’s credit card. The cashier said yes as long as I knew my phone number. Immediately after the total appeared she was lost and appeared to be a deer in headlights. She immediately sought help from someone in customer service to check me out. That took up 5-10 mins before the other sales person came over. Then they instructed me to text a number to ascertain my Lowe’s credit card information, so clearly this is a regular occurrence. How would the first staff not know how to do that? And if she didn’t, why didn’t she state that there is a way but she will need help completing it. Very frustrating and clearly poorly trained by Lowe’s.Both staff went on to help other people paying by cash and I ended up standing there waiting for another 10 mins. The transaction was complete but I certainly didn’t plan on spending 15-20 mins to check out, a process that usually takes 2 - 3 mins. I have been going to Lowe’s for a long time and have been a loyal customer, but if they keep this up, I am taking my business and money to another vendor.Oh, the best part was the staff just walked away when I said I needed bags for my 12 boxes of holiday lights and clips. When they saw me and my young kids bagging our own items, they never said anything or attempt to help. Great job, Lowes.
First off this Lowe’s is very organized. Real good customer service. Every employee I came across asked me if I needed help finding something. At check out Joanna is amazing, helped me out apply for a Lowe’s credit card. I will definitely be coming back to this location.
This review is just about the store itself. I havent bought anything significant to review the buying experience. I will update this, if I do. The store is huge and have everything you need for home improvements. The staff is great and helpful. I love the way its laid out and those big name boards help you find stuff easy!!
The Appliance Manager, Korn has outstanding customer service. I bought my washer and dryer here and will be buying the rest of my appliances here. Great customer service, Appliances in stock and Swift delivery. I went to Lowes to get great service and I got great service!! I had not been a Lowes customer before so they have won me as a customer.
Probably the least unorganized Lowes Ive shopped. No carts inside. Cashiers not very welcoming and seemed like they were doing us a favor. I spent over 300.00 but the cashier acted as if I was inconveniencing her because I had a couple of big items that she had to scan by coming from behind the register. The store needs to better organize the help in the front. No one in sight but 2 Cashiers.
The staff working outside were a mixed bag. I asked one woman about how to enter the store since the garden section was still locked an hour after the store opened. I got only a blank stare and she didnt bother to remove her ear buds to even try to determine what I was speaking to her about. So I turned to an older gentleman, who was very friendly and helpful. He pointed me in the right direction.I am disabled. I parked where the disabled spots are. Due to their unwillingness to open the store, except one set of doors, I had to walk half way across the store length to get in the building, then halfway back to where I needed to shop. Once I found my items, I had to hunt for an open register or a self checkout. Apparently they dont have self checkout lanes. So I ended up having to walk the entire length of the store to where the only open register was to get checked out. Then I had to walk the entire distance outside to get back to my car. I managed, and thats not my point. My point is, why do you only have those parking spots in one small section that is nowhere near where you can check out in the morning? Why do you not open the garden section when the store opens? Why is half of your staff so indifferent to your customers? Less importantly, when did you stop offering a veterans discount? I am disabled veteran and it seemed like the only one who was helpful in your whole store was a Vietnam Veteran.
Customer service is certainly not their strong suite. They seem to intentionally try to avoid you. You almost have to track someone down and tackle them to get help. I’ve spend 15 minutes walking the aisles trying to find an employee, and if I’m lucky enough to find one, quite often they don’t know much more about what’s in the store than I do. Home Depot has more people to help, but it hasn’t won any service awards either. These are basically self serve stores. As for hardware, Ace is awesome. For plants, nursery, Calloway’s.
I still like Lowes hardware been trying to use her online ordering and its strike three. I ordered three things that the website says they have they call me back say they dont have one of them. Second third time I went to go pick stuff up after I ordered online they called me and said they didnt have something but I said okay so I pulled up curbside to get it 45 minutes later I had to go inside to get it not impressed with them lately at least the one here in McKinney
I will give it no star if there was an option. I came to the Lowe’s store located on HW121 and Custer Rd #2878.I had bunch of receipts and 2 credit cards that I purchased all my items. I explained that I used only those two cards for purchases in that store for all my tems to return. Instead of scanning my card and do it the easier way, cashier insisted to start from receipts. Not all my items were on that receipts, and cashier called assistant store manager for help. She then continued doing refund under his supervision AFTER I explained to him the situation again. Some time in the process they asked for my ID. I started arguing that my ID is not needed if I am returning stuff with receipts or providing the cards I made the original purchase with. Assistant Store Director insisted that I provide my ID as a store policy requires. At the end CASHIER HANDED ME THE STORE CREDIT CARD IN FRONT OF THE ASSISTANT STORE DIRECTOR!!!! And when I asked WHY I got a store credit, they both said that they are sorry. Like I am returning my items without the proof of purchase!!! Then, I wanted to pay for my card to pay off my previous purchases go my credit card, but THEY REFUSED TO USE THE STORE CREDIT THEY JUST ISSUED ME FOR MY RETURN!!!! That is the worst Lowe’s store!!!! They do not train their staff properly to insure the customer’s satisfaction. Every time I go there it’s some kind of a problem. The ONLY reason I still shop in that store is that it’s 5 minutes away from my house. But, if I need to go to Home Depot to avoid that kind of situation, then I will. And, I am sure lots of people will make that decision as well. It’s very frustrating!!! Not only it waisted my time, it also made me very angry. I am not sure if I will ever return to this store. I am writing to let you know what is going on.
Ordered a range/stove online. Didnt happen like it was supposed to. After dealing with different people online - I called the store(in Mckinney on Hwy121) I had the pleasure to talk to Trent, who got his manager Chris involved, as well. Both gentlemen went above and beyond to get everything resolved and I had the range 2 days later in my kitchen. It was a wonderful experience and Im so thankful for their help. They ROCK!!
My experience with this location has been amazing. Everyone is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly! Especially Craig who has helped me on numerous occasions, recently he also took what could’ve been a terrible experience and made one of the best shopping experiences I have ever had. Not only did he explain all of my options in a very friendly manner he even went above and beyond his normal duties to help resolve the situation! I love coming to this store and will be sure to come here for all of my hardware needs!
Had to get bunch of Open house signs for my 1st open house, they had a few, prices were decent, staff in hardware department was helpful and also suggested to get separate wooden sticks for the signs in case weather gets windy. I ended up driving to another location to get some more signs, but overall nicely useful store.
At 3:35 we where doing self checkout There was a women named Karen and we wanted to delete an item we asked for her help and she acted like she didnt hear so we switched to another screen and then she saw us and asked what were we doing i said we dont have time to wait for you and she asked sir you dont want the item i said no and then she said that she didnt hear the first time because I was talking with my back towards her like I was a child i wasnt talking with my towards her and then when I was leaving i saw an old man wanting to ask her for help but he rather wanted to stay quiet.
This has to be the worst Lowes i have ever been to. I wanted to order a carpet with installation. I went 2 different days and there was no one manning the flooring section. I waited about an hour the first time and about 30 mins the next time. I kept asking for help. No one came. At the end both times they told me their flooring specialist is off. They could have told me right away when i requested help the first time of my each visit.
I had placed an order for a patio set on 08/08. I had many options at that point but the reason why selected Lowes was because they had the earliest delivery date online compared to the others. Their delivery date was 08/14. Few days after I placed the order I got a notification that the delivery date was changed to 08/25. This was again just of couple of weeks off and i decided to wait. Now today I get another mail telling that the date has changed to 09/02. I called the store to check the reason for the dates changing. They told it is from the vendor and they are not sure if they would be able to meet my date of 09/02. The classic message I got was We will go ahead and cancel your order if you are fine. This showed that customer satisfaction was their lowest priority. Now a few questions. Is this some sort of tactic used by Lowes to attract customers to purchase stuff by showing that they would deliver things quickly. Once the order is placed, take their own cool time to fulfill the order. Many customers wouldnt have even gone back and cancelled the order because it involves too much of effort contacting customer care, the waits involved etc. There would be fewer customers like me who would have spent so much to write such a review. To the management at Lowes if you want to verify what I have mentioned. My order number is 426855011. Please check the history.I wouldnt recommend Lowes for any online purchase based on my experience. There are many other options available online.
I do a lot of online orders that are picked up at the store. If the order is in a locker, it goes easy. Every time I pick up an online order with store employees, its painful, slow and the people Ive dealt with are borderline rude. Today is no exception, I was helped by a gentleman whose first initial is H (I dont want to be mean to him) and he was same as above.
We go here frequently for all of our home project needs including lumber, hardware, lawn and garden, and tools. Their customer service is great and the one time I had an issue with an order, the customer service manager went above and beyond to make it right. Highly recommend this location!
So I work by this location and I had looked around where I live for something my family needed. On a whim I called up this store on my break from work to see if they had what I needed. Joana answered the phone and proceeded to impress me with a level of costumer service I have not seen in a long time, hence this review. Thank you Joana for going above and beyond without ever being asked too. You are an asset to this company. I hope you are appreciated there as much as me and my family appreciate what you did for us. Thank you!
Just bought a refrigerator. The saleslady in the appliance department was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and helpful. The delivery, on the other hand, was terrible. We paid $30 to get the old one hauled away. They got here and said it wouldnt fit through the door so they wouldnt take it or take it apart. Luckily my husband was here and took the doors off so they could take it. With the new fridge, they left styrofoam inside the fridge and didnt level the new fridge. They also knocked over one of my plants outside. They picked it up, but left a pile of dirt with pansies in it on the lawn. They did a very poor job!
Just came to do a return... Had 4 others ahead of me... Wow lol I didnt have the card I used before anymore and or receipt and over or right around the 90 day period. So they had to give me store credit for $10 and its attached to my drivers license so Ill need that to be able to use it! I wonder when Ill use it, since I dont usually need anything from here. But they were very nice not much you can do about that!
Went the S.Mckinney Lowes. Online it said that location had 9 Ambrosia Maple boards. There was hardly ANY employees around to help me. I asked 1 man his accent was a little hard to understand. But he didnt know what I was asking. So I looked online again and it said BW aisle 90. I went over there several times but couldnt find the Ambrosia Maple boards. Finally digging around I found a 6 inch wide by 8ft. long board.
We try to return the items we purchased 2 month ago. The staff said because our return value is more than 700. So she would not return us. With the receipt, she said the system return policy is 30 days. Clearly that’s a lie, the company website listed as 90 days return policy with un-used items. We asked for store credit even, And they just don’t want to work with us. I am very unhappy about the experience. You may want to find another store.
This is by far the best Lowe’s or Home Depot I have ever been to. I went to this Lowe’s four times in two days to load brick and Kelsey that works there was really helpfully and super kind. She always had a great attitude and one of the best employees I have ever met at Lowe’s. I went to the other Lowe’s near my house and I had to wait 50 minutes for them to get a forklift to move a pallet and I only got one half a** apology yet with this Lowe’s I had to wait only ten minutes and Kelsey was super apologetic.
This store is my local Lowes store. We shop often here. While we have witnessed this before, yesterday I was directly affected. We have witness the inside garden manager, Sam treat the employees of the same store really harshly and rudely. Yesterday, while I was shopping in the middle of an aisle, she was at one end and another employee at the opposite end of the aisle. She screamed STOP so loudly that it started me. When I turned around to see why, she continued yelling, NOT YOU, HER. I thought I was in the middle of a crime by the sound and tone of her voice. Its hard with everything going around everywhere in our society to see a manager behave this way inside a store and speak to her staff this way.
Over the last month their level of customer service for online pick up has gone from great to terrible. My first order this month I parked in the online pick up spot and called the number and waited online for 15 minutes with no response. I walked in the store waited another 10 minutes picked up my items and told the customer service agent about my experience and he didn’t seem to see there was an issue with that, even after I told him I had seen several people come and go with their orders delivered car side. For today’s I walked in the store talked with an agent, the items were not in stock so they moved my order to another store, he then told me the wrong store to go to up up my order. So for grins and giggles before I left I wanted to see if I could find the locations where the items should be in the store based off their website and not surprisingly the items were in the aisle locations listed on the website.
It is unfortunate that I am forced to write a negative review; however, my attempts to settle my dispute with Lowes have been grossly ignored and dismissed. In September of this year, my family purchased a refrigerator with Lowes. On the day the refrigerator was delivered the delivery guy backed his large truck into my driveway creating several cracks in the concrete. My family immediately contacted Lowes about the situation but was told that the company itself is no longer scheduling deliveries that in fact, they have subcontracted their delivery services to an outside party, Retail Direct LLC. I was told if I had a dispute I would need to contact the company directly. With great disappointment I made several attempts, 8 in total, to contact the company about my experience to no avail. After my attempts went unnoticed Lowes initiated a claim with the company on my behalf. Within a few weeks, I received notification from Retail Direct LLC. denying my claim without ever speaking to me directly about the incident. I contacted Lowes shortly thereafter about the denial letter that I received in hopes that Lowes would assist since I had purchased the refrigerator from them and not Retail Direct LLC. As of today, I have not spoken to anyone about the incident. This entire situation is unfortunate and disappointing because at the point of sale, customers are not advised that Lowes have partnered with an outside entity on their deliveries. Please be aware that should you decide to do business with Lowes and experience something similar, your dispute will be dismissed and you will be left to incur the cost for their mistakes.
This store is laid out very poorly, and they were missing the items I was looking for, which in my opinion seemed like basic things a Lowes should have. The staff wasnt helpful, and kept deferring me to other associates for help. The cashier was nice and friendly, but thats about the only positive. Avoid this one if you can
Wont be back. They wouldnt let us check out with our merchandise because it was 10:05 pm. Had been a Home Depot customer until August, when we moved near this Lowes. In the past few months we have spent a lot of money with them - buying a new washer/dryer and new cabinets. We will now be driving further to Home Depot where we know we will get the kind of treatment customers deserve.
Ordered a washing machine that was supposed to be delivered tomorrow now they say its a month from now. Cancel that order and ordered another one for pickup then came to pick it up only find out they dont have it now weve been standing here 45 minutes while they try and resolve the issue with no end in sight
Walked right in for a couple of low lumen LED bulbs for two night stands, and found just what I needed..first isle right side. Soft white 300 lumens..quick check out and on my way. No problems with open parking and walking in..masked.Thanks Lowes for quick and easy purchase!
Not necessarily my favorite big-box home improvement store but its close and has comparable prices to anywhere else. Returns have always been hassle-free for me and Im usually able to find what I need quickly, either by myself or with an employees help. I like the online order pickup for more expensive items, as Im sometimes able to get a better deal during an online-only sale and the pickup spot is conveniently right by the front entrance.
The best of this place is encapsulated by a guy called John. Have dealt with him twice and he is superb in answering all the questions and is helpful without making you feel dumb for asking the question. He was extremely patient with both my wife and I as went through a full 2 page list of items today. I dont know about Lowes in general but with John at this location I always feel truly helped!!
I came to purchase $150 worth of product from here. I had a gift card that I had forgotten but had my fiancé send me the card number. So I get to the checkout line and unfortunately they need the card to be here so I can be swiped. The girl(who looked like a shift lead, glasses & brown hair) said she would hold it for me and wrote my name and number on a piece of paper and taped it to the cart. She said it would be available for pickup the next day and not to worry. Thought this was great. Until I get there today and it’s all put back on the shelves. Will not be coming back here. Terrible customer service.
They’re so unhelpful. Went to the garden section and no one there knows anything. And they don’t even try to find you an answer. They try to avoid you as much as possible. I also called for help on an order I placed (That wasn’t ready). The person who answered had an attitude and wasn’t willing to help then hung up. I’ll try to avoid as much as possible.
Absolutely worst place to buy home goods from. I purchased an item and it was not delivered at my home. So i went there to find out what happened and they refused to take any responsibility!I waited for the manager and he did not even show his face!!I think they need to hire people who are responsible and love their jobs
We have been customers of this store for several years but I’ve not taken the time to say thanks for the consistency and pride this store’s employees take in their work. It makes a big difference. A special thanks to Diamond who helped me secure the very last Olaf inflatable Christmas decoration...it was the display on the very top shelf. She was in the middle of her own work but without hesitation she stopped to help me look for any remaining boxes of Olaf and then took the time to climb the ladder and retrieve the last one of its kind in the store making my daughter’s day seeing Olaf in our normally very traditional lights only Christmas display. Diamond, you made her holiday and reminded me of how it’s people like you that make the world (& shopping) better. Thank you.
I recently had a great experience at Lowes. I was looking for a patio sliding door with an external flange for a retro job, turns out it only is sold to those on the west coast. Tim at Millworks was able to help me with this and was very patient and thorough until we got the correct information.
I have worked at Lowes for thirteen yrs and love this store! It is by far the cleanest store youll ever shop. I strive to help customers love where they live and my managers support me in doing just that. I read some of the reviews and the guy with the dishwasher sorry it didnt work out for you.
Star is for online purchase experience.Pros: Store location, variety of product selection and offeringCons: Ridiculous online shopping and pickup experience.Have went through this more than 3 times (yes because I have gift cards that I cannot use at other store).I purchased an item and got confirmation. 2 days no update on pickup. Called 1800 number for customer service and was told probably item is back ordered...Question: In todays age what system is Lowes using that they cannot peg an order to available stock correctly? Why cannot you respect the order and price and satisfy the order request (that you confirmed).Need Customer Service 101 lessons for entire leadership. If you committed an order for a given price you make sure you deliver it.
Ive been into the store all week buying hardware for my wood shop. Ive spent over $2,000 in a few days. Today when I walked in I brought my tool bag in with me because Im working on a project, and wanted to make sure I had the correct tools for the bolts and screws I was buying. During check out the man at the register asked me if the tool bag full of my used tools were mine. I told him politely yes, I brought these in with me. The man said it was odd that I would bring a tool bag into a tool store ... He started to look through my bag checking if I stole anything while I was already purchasing over $100.00 in clamps. After he was done I started to pay for the clamps, and while I was swiping my card he started to look through my bag again, I asked him what are you doing going through my tool bag, and he again said its very odd that you would bring your tool bag into the store. I politely told him if you think Im a thief you can look at the cameras. In my opinion its rude to call someone a thief. Its calling me a criminal. I dont think Ill be buying anything from here again, and Im planning on returning my hardware for a refund to get my $2,000 back and spend it somewhere else that does not treat customers as thiefs.
Had a very bad experience. Understand that people are working long hours in the store due to holiday shopping but that cannot reflect on the customers. Was asked for a price match and without even looking into the details and I could explain, the price match was turned down. This review is not about the price but about the attitude in which the sevice was handled. I was cut off rude with a comment to buy online whenever it is available for a better price. Did not expect this from Lowes and I dont think I will shop here again in this store.
Lowes staff is helpful and friendly. They have a wide selection but their prices are a little high. I was able to get a few projects done and the store supplied my items I needed. One thing I like about Lowes is they do send out coupons and you can get discounts when buying things here.
Worst Customer care. Very rude customer service rep while talking over the phone about an order I never picked up but charged on my credit card. The reason for online order and curbside pick is to limit the interaction inside the store. But for the mistake they did they need the customer to go inside the store to refund the amount they charged by mistake.
This store is the best. They always have what Im looking for, regardless of the project Im working on, plus they are always well staffed and everyone is eager to help you out and show you where something is. They also have a multitude of employees that can offer you advice on a particular project, which is a life saver. Top notch Lowes
Website and store inventory quantities are vastly different. The app and website stated both items I went in store for were plentiful, the shelf said otherwise.I also placed a curbside order early this year that couldn’t be fulfilled due to inventory issues.Maybe I’ll give another location a try.
J’Aques from (sales associate Lumber/building material Department) went above and beyond to help my daughter and I. We really appreciated his attentiveness and willing to take the time to help us pick out what we needed, I would definitely send my friends and family to your store and have them ask for him!
No carts. No buggys. People everydam where. A stressful experience all the way around. But there was a bit of excitement today. I thought i saw a tv star from one of my favorite shows but when i ran him down and confronted him he said he wasnt. But thats exactly what a tv star who was hiding out would say. So... Who knows.
This Lowes is very friendly and theyre contractors have done a considerable amount of work on our home. We recently got a quote on a new water-heater (were upgrading to 50 gallon). Theres a small fee for the estimate but it gives us peace of mind knowing it will be done right.
I came in needing to locate several transactions that I had lost receipts for and didnt even know if they could get them. Leah in customer service was super helpful and patient and took care of my problem. She is probably the best employee Ive dealt with at Lowes. She needs a raise.
Had a horrible customer service experience. There is this cashier, forgot her name. She is so rude. A customer service can become a really good experience even when you cant accomplish your intent when the other person know how to deal with people. Returned my merchandise and bought it cheaper at amazon. This is way stores like this are losing against online competitors.
Designated parking for Veterans, appreciation for the military, clean and bright store...why would I shop at another home improvement store? Purchased a Samsung dryer and washer set. Almost purchased elsewhere but Lowes Price was better than NFMs sale price...and free delivery. Getting too old to sling around appliances.
Definitely far and above a more friendly and helpful alternative to that other store with initials H & D. At Lowes, they actually come up and ask if they can help you instead of you having to go and track somebody down. Nice clutter-free home shopping and competitive pricing. Excellent location! Need help? Ask for David one of the Managers. Great and helpful guy!We purchase all of our large appliances from Lowes including this amazing SAMSUNG Fridge!
We were in the market for a new fridge. Richard in appliances was awesome to work with. He even pulled up the Best Buy web page to see if they were priced better than Lowes on the fridge we were looking at. Applied for the credit card and received 10% off. Cant beat that. Bought the fridge on a friday night and by noon saturday we had our new fridge. The delivery guys were very nice and the set up was super fast!
Just returned from Lowes McKiney South to buy 14 sheets of birch ply and a cordless Husqvarna trimmer as well as small hdwe items. Arrived 9:45am and gone by 10:10am Total waste of fuel and my time! They had 3 aisles blocked off in lumber area w/ no one working them. 2 associates nearby chatting, one on a cell phone call, and 2 3 aisles over laughing it up. I called McKy Lumber and ordered the ply. In the lawn garden aisles no Husq cordless trimmers to be found but lots of operation assoc working w/ out asking if helped. Finally a Susan came over and at least tried. But no clue on what I asked for. I left and will order the cordless trimmer on Amazon. Hopefully a manager will manage this place going forth.
Went for the installation of the Storm Door and the person at the counter pretty mush said that the all included fee shouldnt cost more than 127$ even with the complicated work and made us pay 35$ for taking specs of our front door, but at the end they tried to overcharge everything from the storm door with initial cost at 249$, nope additional labour of 68$ making it 370$, nope We forgot wood cost for the frame that ended up at 450$. Not sure they have a contract with third party installation company or Lowes itself is doing it, but Im pretty much understood that they try to charge their customers as high as possible.
I purchased an over the range stainless steel GE microwave in April 2016. Today the plastic handle failed and broke at the bottom. I called Lowes to inquire about my warranty. The factory warranty expired after 1 year, so conveniently a month later, things fall apart. The rep told me that my $100 Lowes extended warranty does not cover failed physical parts. It only covers mechanical failures. I was told that if a technician were to come out to look at the issue, I would be charged for the part, labor, and for them coming out if the tech feels like its not a covered issue. I asked to speak to a supervisor so I get someone with some leverage. I explained to him that Im willing to replace the handle myself, but I should get the handle at no cost. The handle failed. I didnt break it. I was denied and transferred to GEs parts and service department thats closed today. I wasted $100 on a warranty I cant use. While the customer service rep and supervisor were respectful, Im still inconvenienced. Im never buying anything from Lowes again. They dont put their customers first. If theyre willing to let a plastic microwave handle that probably costs them $1 stand in the way of satisfying a customer, they dont need my business.
Being unfamiliar with this store, I was surprised to find all the Associates I came in contact with to be EXTREMELY helpful in finding what I needed....including THEM asking me first if I needed help! Amazing!, noone does that anymore!!! I will go out of my way to go to this McKinney Towne Center location (over and above ANY Home Depot!) to get my home needs! Very courteous Associates ; right down to my chatty Cashier (Jeff)!!! Lovely experience & well-worth the trip there instead of HD where you appear to be a nuisance to them!?!
Lowes, always a disappointment, but this store in particular, they should be the example store for how horrible they are compared to the competitors. Ill take my thousands I spend monthly an be sure to support a company other than yours. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE YOULL BE HAPPIER!
WOW HORRIBLE Customer service! I bought a dishwasher there roughly four months ago and took it back in because it had a broken pump on it. I was told that they could do nothing about it and that I would have to get a service company to look at it. I went to the appliance department and the manager said that it should be under warranty and they would cover it however he has a PHOTOGRAPHIC MEMORY and he didnt remember me and that I must have gotten it from some other store... Sooo he went up to the front and proceeded to proclaim that I did not get it there. They looked it up with my card info and found that I had bought it at a Lowes within the approximate date I gave them, so in light of that they said that they could send it out to be looked at. Then the manager Sarah told me that it wouldnt be under warranty because it wasnt sold there anymore. Also that I would have to pay up to $300.00 to have it fixed... They then called me an hour after leaving the store and said that they would need me find the receipt in order to have it looked at.. I am on the way there now with the receipt to prove that I did buy it there four months ago, that it is under warranty and that I bought it at that location!! Horrible people and worse attitudes!! DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING HERE!!!!!!!
Avoid this location. Lower price matches Amazon but the customer service reps wont match it if it says its on Prime because its equivalent to Costco even though prime only affects shipping. If its sold by Amazon it has Prime shipping. I was trying to explain this but I kept getting cut off which was very frustrating and then was told, I was trying to work with but since your being unreasonable I cant help you, have a good day. Really? You wont let me finish a sentence and then you tell me Im being unreasonable?Just go somewhere else and avoid the frustration.
My daughter and I decided to tackle mulching and laying rock in her street side planting area. As we underestimated our needs, we had to return three different times in one morning!!!!! A young man named Nic loaded our car each of the three times. He was polite, willing, and efficient. Because of his great service ethic, we will always patronize this store and encourage your friends and family to do likewise.
I was trying to fix the legs of some outdoor furniture that had entirely rusted out at the bottom. Instead of just pointing me towards hardware, I was lucky to have a sales specialist, Ludy, who took on the challenge of helping me solve the problem. She had a creative mind and tirelessly went from one end of the store to the other, until we had solved the problem with waterproof wedges, aluminum tape, and rust proof paint. It wasnt by far an obvious solution, but a perfect one. Thank you Ludy, for knowing your stuff, and taking on a challenge. The furniture looks great!
The lady cashier was rude and when she couldnt bring up our Lowes Account by phone number she just checked us out.I found my Lowes card Im my purse when I got to Mt car and went back in to give it to her but she said she couldnt do anything about it now. Didnt offer to redo the transaction or nothing and dismissed me rudely. I guess her gum chewing was clouding her judgement. We probably go back to Home DepotInstead.
We bought a stove top on Black Friday from Lowes. We finally got the installer to come out to do the work yesterday, December 12, 2018, just to find out that they couldnt install the stove top because my oven is 1/4 too tall. They sent someone out to take the measurement before they would schedule the installation, so the person taking the measurement did not catch the fact my oven is too tall. They quoted us around $300 to do the installation because they had to trim the counter, and now they are asking an additional $375 to lower my oven. Christmas is around the corner, and I wont have a stove to cook and host my party. I think its absolutely ridiculous to charge $675 for installation while I only paid $800 for the stove. The only person who really tried to help through this whole mess was my salesperson. STAY AWAY FROM LOWES.
People at the customer service desk doesnt seem to know how their system work. I had a merchandise gift card from previous return and they couldnt use it, eventhough they can see how much is on the card, but the excuse they gave me was their system was updated, and I need to call the number on the back of the card. The number on the back of the card does not work, only gives you the balance, theres no one to talk to. So we went to the Lowes in Allan. The customer service people there were more competent and was able to let me use the card. They laughed when I told them I was told to call the number in the back, they said theres no live person that answers the phone, its only an automated system. They were surprised that McKinney Lowes werent able to use my giftcard.... I kept this at 3 stars since the other workers in the location is very friendly and helpful to lead you to the right place to find what you need. This is their only saving grace.
I bought a can of Sherwin Williams One Coat Guarantee Paint. The paint took more than one coat. I went back into Lowes for a refund and they directed me to a Sherwin Williams Rep, the rep directed to me to Sherwin customer service. I went back into to the store and talked to Lowes customer service in person, they left a note for the manager. A manager called the Sherwin Williams rep, then called me back and told me to take a take pictures and fill out some form. Overall tedious process, Lowes should have immediately refunded the paint and took care of this process themselves on the backend.
I bought a microwave oven combo and a boshe gas cooktop. I had them install it. They charged me an extra $300 to cut the tile to install the cooktop. When he went to install, he said i will not charge you if i dont have to cut it. He ended up spending 5 minutes cutting the tile and charged me the $300. Lowes called me to see if i was satisfied and i told them that i was not. I spoke with Lenisha and she said she would call the installer and call me back. That was a week ago and never called me back. I spent $4300 with lowes and expected a little better service than what i got.....
The reason I’m giving it 5 stars bc of Bailey in customer Service Dept. Bailey went out of her way to help me locate a receipt so I can get my pressure washer repaired. A lady named Trish intervened in our conversation and said the pressure washer is not under warranty and that it would cost me $80 to get sent off and was not helpful at all. Trish did not say hi nor did she tell me who she was and was alittle rude. Thank you Bailey for going the extra mile. This occurred April 6, 2018
I bought a troy-bilt pressure washer from Lowes - it was a Lemon! They sent me around between Lowes, Troy-bilt and Briggs and briggs and stratton and they all pointed the finger at each other, Lowes would not help they just said: we only sell them. Troy-bilt said: they only use my name! Briggs: we wont cover it. Never buying a thing from Lowes ever again!
Not happy with this location on 121. Went in there for a certain product but could not locate it. So, when I finally found a employee to ask he could NOT speak one word of English. NONE! ZERO! He just shook his head, no! Very frustrating! So, found the manager and told him about the situation of no English and if the gentleman was going to be on the floor to help people he needed to be able to speak a few words of english. The manager could have cared less. His statement was, and your problem with it is what? I could go on, but probably no one cares anyway!
The 9 AM cattle call or whatever it is that they call it, when the employees walk the aisles and ask if you need help or help finding anything--but they do it over and over asking the same question to the same people over and over. On a weekend morning absolutely do that...Monday through Friday I would say 99% of the people in the store know what they need and where they are going!
A big shout out to Dale Ladislas, store sales specialist. He went above and beyond board with customer service! I needed to build a jig for one of my students who has autism. My student is not able to put a key into a lock on the door and turn it, so I wanted to buy a deadbolt and make something for this student to practice with. Dale explained what I would need to make this jig, and of course--I didnt have the correct tools to bore a hole into a 2x4 etc....so Dale took the time to actually build this jig for me right in the store!!! Now THAT is CUSTOMER SERVICE! Anyone with a heart to do something like this during the busy shopping season has a heart of gold. Thank you so much!

2022-02-16First time visiting this location. I was looking for some vertical blinds for my sliding glass door. They did have some to offer here, but not exactly what I was looking for. While I was looking, Vicki came over to see if she could help me. She was very friendly, knowledgeable about the blinds and size I needed, and really seemed eager to help me find a solution. Her customer service was excellent. The store was inviting, very clean and well lit.Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find what I was looking for here, but I really appreciate the great service I received from Vicki.

2021-09-03I was already impressed with their customer service, organization and cleanliness of the store.. but then I saw the beautiful and touching memorial in the parking lot for our fallen soldiers. It brought a tear to my eye to see such a display. Thank you so much. I will definitely be returning to this location. God bless you all.

2021-09-09I wnet to the store to pick up a few items. Nothing was where you would expect it to be. The hose I needed was in the pool supply area. The misquito repellent was in the lighrt bulb section. Thee were sales people standing around talking with each other and when I asked for help they pointed me in the general direction but did not help me find anything. Add to this the bathroom was filthy. This was at 10AM on a Thursday with very few customers in the store. The place does not rise to the level of mediocre.

2022-02-23Usually a great experience at this Lowes. Aisles are organized, they have the tools I need, and the garden area has a good selection of plants. Hard to find an employee on the floor, though. You often have to search the aisles to find someone to help you. Convenient location off the tollway.

2022-02-06Staffing is nice but that Store Manager, Wallace and his new and favorite Manager he hired are running that store down and running great employees out the door. Wallace is shady and does not care about his employees. Find a GREAT STORE MANAGER and make Loews great AGAIN!

2022-02-01Its on par with any Lowes Ive visited. The store is well kept and clean so there is a no stress feel when walking around. However, there is no one on the floor anywhere at any Lowes to ask any questions. You have to walk circles and circles to find a person.
