It was an amazing experience, who knew the search for a rug would be so welcoming and desirable, if there is such a thing as a perfect way to run a business, than this is certainly the one, big thanks to those who helped me find such a beautiful piece! And I am now most certainly a returning customer!
I purchased 2 huge carpets and some smaller ones and bathroom items, they have incredible stuff and it’s super well priced! The owners are friendly and very genuine. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to furnish their home with some less usual and gorgeous rugs and home decor.
Huseyin and Phoebe are literally the real Aladdin and Jasmine. The story being told in this magical shop is worth your time and money x 1,000!Do your soul a favor and come visit them, have some Turkish Tea, and bless yourself with something that speaks to you from their incredible inventory from around the world.Rugs, blankets, towels, jewelry, Turkish towels, silver, pillow cases, robes, lamps, ceramics, and culture... although the culture is not for sale ;)Blessings!
Amazing selection, a large range of pricing ($5 for a beautifully detailed sauce dish to thousands for original silk rugs), and all their items are great quality. Most of all their employees are helpful, patient, knowledgeable, create an easy-going friendly atmosphere, and are not there to sell you - but to help you out. Its a great experience overall!
The Magic Caravan lives up to its name and then some. Huseyin and Phoebe are such kind and generous souls. I came for a chair, stayed for the vibes, and left with new friends and a divine work of art that I will cherish for the rest of my life and hand down to my descendants. Looking forward to my next pilgrimage to this special place.
Stopped in on a whim and was thrilled to see so many handmade treasures! Lots of home goods like plates, bowls and serving dishes. Beautiful silk pillow cases, and walls of handwoven scarves and Turkish bath towels. When we walked in, we were greeted by the very friendly owner and offered Turkish coffee. I left with a beautiful new scarf and some great bowls today but will definitely visit again soon!

2021-06-16This place has magic for real. You will be amazed when you met with Huseyin and his cutie dogs. Magic Caravan is really authentic and they offer Turkish coffee, awesome! If you are a collector you will find niche pieces here. A lot of rugs from Turkey, and they all hand-made.

2022-06-07This shop has wonderful vintage rugs of all kinds. I have bought three rugs here and love them, and each one of them has a story and unique place of origin. Just as other reviewers have mentioned, the owner Hussein is a kind-hearted and generous human being. Support this local Austin business!

2020-11-22My fiance and I went here yesterday, and it was a fully pleasurable experience. We were given plenty of space to look around and spread out any rugs/tapestries without any pressure from the salesperson. In the end we found a tapestry that we both loved at a very reasonable price. We made the purchase and plan on hanging it in our living room.

2018-02-02This place is soooo very UNIQUE! Hussein is a real Aquarius charmer. He offers Turkish coffee or apple tea in his beautifully offered hand painted tea set! His service to his customers is the most highly regarded. His love for luxury and sharing the beauty comes natural and his rugs and other items like clothes are from Turkey. His shop has beautiful hand painted dishes and very unique lamps and lights and belts and scarfs and sooo many fun things to look at. He even has rugs hanging from the early century to admire. Plus he carries some awesome amazing wonderful smelling homemade soap from a local all encompassing love Ministry with outreach programs for self sustaining community life styles and implementation programs. The magic caravan carries many handmade items like crocheted dainty tops and hair pieces and earrings. The caravan even carries nice jewelry and belly dancing items. You gotta check this place out!!!!

2021-11-28We love the beautiful, handmade items at the Magic Caravan! It feels like visiting Turkey when we step through the door. The owner is wonderful and generous! Having a cup of Turkish Coffee while shopping in the store is nice. The two German Shepherds are sooo sweet and very well behaved with our four year old daughter. Can’t wait to go back!

2021-07-27Nice high quality products and very nice attentive service.I understand Austin is a dog city, however, the dogs will quickly come up to you in the store, bump into you, and get in your face when you bend down. When I mention I was having problems with the dogs, little attempt was made to remove them from the area. I was told there is no where for them to go, and they dont always listen. I feel if your animals wont listen, dont have them in the store.
