My husband and I went here looking to purchase our first firearm and I have to say the experience was awesome, the 2 wonderful men (Bobby & Devin) who work there were both very knowledgeable and answered all questions we had. Not to mention were so down to earth and very fun to chat with We walked out very pleased 1st time owners and will absolutely 100% be back to purchase more from them !
I just want to thank Chris for talking himself out of a sale. My wife and I came in to buy a firearm for her Christmas present. We asked for a particular firearm, Taurus G3 9mm, in which he said he was sold out. We also asked for 9mm ammunition, in which he said they were out. We asked do he know where they are selling 9mm ammunition and he said he has no idea. (Yeah, right). Then we asked do you have any other 9mm he stated, Yeah, they are all in the cases, spread out. No kind of sales direction. He showed us one 9mm firearm. We were going to buy a firearm but he was not helpful at all. I am not sure how gun salesmen operate but he wasnt trying to make a sale at all. He could of sold me a firearm if he would have at least be more helpful. I know nothing about firearms. My wife wanted the firearm. More help would have been appreciated.
I walked in and asked for some advice on what ammo would be best for hog hunting and the nice dude behind the counter took me to the ammo section. I admitted it was my first time purchasing ammo for my new rifle, and I was honestly pretty clueless, so he shared some great information on which rounds would get the job done. Definitely choosing this as my go-to place for gun/ammunition needs, and all of y’all should too.
FANTASTIC experience with the crew at Marksmen Firearms! Billy was able to translate my rather vague needs into actual solutions I needed for my handgun and rifle, as well as needed supplies. The crew there was also very friendly... had a nice chat as we waited for the necessary paperwork and processing.
Stopped in to get sights installed. Gentlemen told me they no longer have a gunsmith (it is still advertised on the site) or a tool for sale - all he has is the one in the back!!!! it’s sight tool if you have the tool it’s pretty much a no brainer but seems like the shop doesn’t want money. Took my business elsewhere.
Terrible service. I called in advance to have a red dot installed on my gun. Spoke with Billy. He assured me he could do the install no problem. I made it there and asked for Billy- he acknowledged me and said he would be right with me. I have him my gun etc and he went into the back for 30 mins. I assumed he was doing the install only for him to come out and pass it over to the other guy and started helping another customer. I really didn’t understand why he did that. The other guy attempted to install is there on the counter and truly had no clue what to do. He tried for 45 min and couldn’t even get past figuring out what pieces to install. I finally had enough of wasting my time and took my gun even though it was taking partially apart. Billy yelled out I’m sorry come back and I promise I will get it done which made no sense since i should have done it to begin with. I took it to a professional they knocked it out in less than 10 mins. Very poor unprofessional service. Won’t be going back there to purchase or used them for anything.
Mike was able to repair my 9mm in a matter of minutes. He had the gun ready before I was even finished browsing around the store. He charged me less than I would have paid in shipping if I had mailed it back to the manufacturer. He quoted me a price and explained what he was going to do before he started work. Mike is friendly and extremely knowledgeable about firearms. I was very impressed wit this gun store!!
Went in about at closing and these guys remained gentlemen and very courteous. We were not rushed. They answered all of our questions and we scored a great Black Friday deal. Wish i would of went there first before buying earlier that day. A big thanks to Mike, but they were all helpful.
I had a good experience here. Their prices are very reasonable, from what I could tell about a 5-10% markup from internet prices, which is very competitive for a brick and mortar store. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. They charged $35 to install a new pair of sights on my Glock, but from what I could tell they offer free installation if you purchase the item from them.I will be back.
I bought an AR-15 form Marksmen. The retail space is very upscale and the selection is great. The location was easy to find and they stay open until 7. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I have found some of the other gun shops to have staff not willing to explain or work with you on your wants versus needs. Lastly, the prices, in my opinion, from looking around the DFW area are some of the lowest. A gun I was looking at purchasing was almost $350 higher at Gander. I like Gander but in the future I will first look to do business with Marksmen. All in all it was a great buying experience and I am glad I took a chance. It may be possible you could find firearms cheaper at a gun show but its impersonal and I love helping local businesses.
Not a fan of their service. In order to ensure I did not exceed any purchase limits on ammunition (I usually aim to purchase ~5 small boxes), I inquired about a particular caliber and was told there was a limit of three boxes for that specific caliber. No problem. Though the employee did not mention the second caliber when asked initially, I inquired a second time specifically regarding the second caliber - again, I dont want to take 5 boxes up and inconvenience anyone if the limit is lower. The employee appeared to become annoyed and then mentioned how he cant have people buying out all his ammunition and thought it necessary to shame customers who inquired about limits. While this was off-putting I made the purchase anyway. Upon leaving I realized Id been charged a transaction fee. No communication from the cashier was recieved and no visible signage was present to notify they expect customers to pay their transaction fees.Due to the lack of customer service, the employees attitude, and the fee dumping performed here, I do not recommend doing business here, nor will I be back.
I came here for my first time today. I will be coming back. The staff was very friendly and helped me out. I explained I was looking to build my first AR and they helped explain things to me and showed me specific items that I would need. They have gained a new customer. I highly recommend this place!
Buyer beware!!!I’m blown away by how unprofessional these folks are. I purchased 2 guns valued at over $3500 dollars. Both were ordered new and when I came to pick them up. One gun was missing half the accessories it came with. The other had a loose front sight and missing paperwork. They refuse to give me my deposit back. This is the Wichita Falls location, maybe other locations are better, but this one is terrible.
Picked out a handgun on 03/31, filled out the application and was told it should be back 04/21 and they would call me. Application came back 04/22 and I got no call, so I called on 04/23 and it went to voice mail. I went in 04/27 to check and they said that the application had expired after 30 days. um, 03/31-04/27 doesnt equal 30 days. It appears that they had pulled my gun and sold it, and now want me to re-apply. Thanks guys, Ill go elsewhere. No hard feelings but certainly no recommendation from me. Wasted my time.
Walked into the building looking to buy an AR, not sure what happened but I ended walking out of the store with a brand new Tavor X95. I tell you what, this is one of the best gun stores Ive been to in a long time. The staff goes the extra mile to make sure your confident about your purchase. They definitely know there products. I find that its hard to find gun stores that have this kind of knowledge. I highly recommend Marksman Firearms to anyone looking to purchase firearms or accessories.
I brought in a vintage 22 to be repaired about two years ago. When I left the firearm to be fixed the clerk told me it would be ready to go within a month. I called him at the specified time frame & the same fellow told me it would take a little longer & that hed call me back. Two months passed and I heard nothing. Then I called Marksmen back asking what was the hold up and he told me We forgot to call you. I suspect that they wanted to pocket my 22 after my claim time was up. These places are run by feds, dont trust them.
Way better customer service than DFW Gun Range when I was purchasing a gun. Answered all my questions, find out information I wanted, the workers were cool people. Gave me BETTER price than what DFW Gun Range gave me.. All in all I Highly recommend Marksmen, didnt not waste my time or gave me the run around or excuses like DFW!!!!
My husband and I went into Marksman Firearms, in Mansfield, TX with the specific intention purchasing 2 guns. We requested a specific person who had previously given us his business card when we had met him at the Marksman Firearms in Killeen Texas. We were told he was in and in fact I saw him in the office and he both and heard me but he couldnt even be bothered to come to the door and tell us if he was busy or he didnt remember us or he wasnt interested in helping us, we were totally ignored by this person.Next, salesperson who it seems wasnt too interested in helping us look at specific guns announced after a few minutes: Im going to find someone else to help you I want to go to lunch and he walked away.Third sales person came to help us, Jason I believe his name is, and he did rather better answering our questions than the first sales person did. However, after a few minutes a new customer walked in and Jason simply turned and walked away from us and went and dealt with her and did not come back to us again. We left the gun on the counter that we were looking at, told him the gun was on the counter, and we walked out.Marksman Firearms of Mansfield lost a total sale of approximately $1500. We went into the store to buy, but poor customer service caused us to leave. We did go to another gun store and purchased the two guns we wanted.
I went in for scope mounting rings. I talked to some guys behind the counter then A guy came out from the office. I spoke to him briefly about what I was looking for. He took my rifle to back into the office which I thought was very odd. He came back out about 5 minutes later without the scope mounting rings. He handed the rifle off to another guy and went back to his office without an explanation. The other guy got the scope rings from behind the counter and sold them to me. I asked what was that about referring to the guy taking my rifle into the back. He just shrugged like he didnt know. I assume he thought it was stolen and had run the serial numbers to see if it was. All of my fire arms have been purchased legally and I am not a thief. I wont be going back. I have since made 3 fire arm purchases. A night vision scope purchase. I have bought some night sights for my Glock 19 and a lot of ammo. None of which came from Marksmen. The guy has lost a lot of money for his employer by his actions.
Love the selection of VERY fine weapons and accessories, from STI to Lantac, from FN America to Glock. Very professional, yet awesome presentation of hardware with very courteous staff. The only downside would be the prices of ammunition, to some degree, except for shotgun ammo.

2022-06-19One of the best gun shops Ive been to...excellent selection of product and outstanding customer service. I was able to get everything I needed and fitted on the spot. Other shops tell you they will need x weeks to install your accessories. Not here. They were able to do installation while I looked around. While I know this is not always the case, (depending on what you need done), I do appreciate the fact that MM was able to help me. The staff was also excellent when it came to recommendations. I will definitely be going back.

2022-08-14Lots of cool guns and knowledge staff. I bought two guns in one week and didnt get any price break. Maybe I was expecting a little more than I should. It was like a big box store prices but small gun shop feel.

2022-04-20I was apprehensive of purchasing my first gun after an incident sent that left me feeling unsafe but Tee was so helpful! He showed me a few different options that he recommended, explained details of each one, and helped me find one that I was confident in owning. Thank you, Tee and Marksmen Firearms!

2022-05-10I went here to sell a .308 rilfe with a scope. Got a fair price. Afterwards, they had no problem showing me a few rifles and recommending ones I was likely to be interested in. I never once felt pressured to buy anything and they really know their stuff. I will for sure stop back in the future to pick something up.

2022-01-13I just went into Marksmen in Mansfield tonight to buy a gun and was told no negotiating Corporates new policy- I have been a customer since 2014 and will no longer do any trading/buying guns at Marksmen since they treat there long time customers with NO RESPECT- We are the ones who have kept your door open since Shoot Point Blank and Academy are cheaper. I will be going down the street to buy now. lost me as a customer at Marksmen in Mansfield as of today and all the people and family I have sent your way. Good luck with your new policy.

2021-04-16First time in to the store. They had a good selection of firearms and some very unique ones. My favorite was a 5 shot .22 pocket gun that has a Trump special. Extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff. It looked like they had almost every accessory you could ever need. Definitely worth the trip. Seemed much for fairly priced than the crazy (rip off) gun guy. No gimmicks at this place. Thanks Guys!

2021-05-02I had a great experience here today. They took time to answer my myriad of questions and knew their stuff. Not pushy at all and I ended up walking out with a couple of guns because they had great prices as well. My friend had raved about them before telling me I had to go check them out and I’m certainly glad I did. Even though I don’t live very close, I’ll be making the drive to these guys as my only gun shop from now on.
