Marsalas Italian Grill in other cities:
I hate to do this and not in the intention to ruin there business. The sever was great polite knowledgeable. the appetizer was bland and taste as if cooked in old oil. the food was lacking seasoning. the chicken was dry.. I hope they can take this as positive criticism. and maybe impress someone to write a positive review.. I really hate to do this. maybe someday you can change my mind I would gladly come back.
This feels like a real Chicago Italian spot. This is what pizza was made to taste like. Could use a little more sauce for my liking but that doesnt mean it wasnt cooked the Italian way. Absolutely delicious. Very polite and likeable staff. This will be a new date spot for the wife and I
This is best place to eat. Beside of delicious garlic bread, their marsalas chicken is so yummy. I used to go to the one in Huffman and now they moved to conroe, but whenever i and my family want to eat Italian food we always go to this location. Not only the food but also the service is great. We always feel welcoming to come here.
I am all about supporting local businesses and dont like to leave bad remarks but these are just things that I didnt enjoy. I came to Marsalas with my son one afternoon and it was pretty empty. Service was quick and good. The bread is by far thr best I have tasted in a while. I ordered the ravioli with pink sauce and my son spaghetti and meatballs. My ravioli was just ok. I can taste the bullion or broth in it, which in my opinion tasted like canned sauce that was modified. The sodium flavor was just too overpowering for me. I asked for some extra garlic and was kindly charged for it without being advised. I didnt taste my sons food but he ate so thats all that matters. We also ordered the bread pudding which was good also. Overall it was just ok, I feel like more love needs to be put in these dishes.
A coworker brought me to the Conroe location last week, and I was so glad she did! Excellent food -- obviously homemade and freshly prepared -- and fabulous service, to boot. I had the eggplant parmesan with a tomato-based sauce and pasta, and she had chicken marsala. Both of us ordered a side salad. which was crispy, fresh, and loaded with nice vegetables. I mean, not the usual pile of iceberg lettuce with a couple of thin slices of tasteless tomato on top. This salad was the bomb. And oh, that basket of garlicky warm bread knots they served with them!!! Im so glad to find this place! When my husband wants to do Olive Garden, I cringe to think about paying for sauce that comes out of a can. Cant wait to try their homemade desserts next time. They have live music here on Thursday evenings. Yall come check it out!
This a cute little place, really good food, and cozy atmosphere. Our waitress, Jennifer, was amazing, anticipated needs and went above and beyond. She even frothed cream for our coffee. Management came and checked on us at our table. They made us feel really important. I highly recommend this place. Also the Death by Chocolate was sooo good.
Sunday 4-22-2018 @ 5:30...we waited 25 minutes for any waitperson to serve us anything. Then we asked t by e hostess who our waitstaff was and she said she would check. About 10 minutes later we heard the two waitresses arguing over who was going to wait on us. Very disappointed!! We have been going here since the day it opened and have never been treated this way. I certainly hope this is not a decline in the restaurant.Update 7-12-2019Have it another chance since I love the food...so much better. Matthew G. Waited on us and was so friendly and professional. Food was excellent as always so giving it 4 stars only because they changed the pasta Romana and did away with the tortellini and the sauce tasted more like chili than jalapeno...
I havent even gotten my main course yet; Im writing this review while waiting. Fantastic, friendly service, reasonably priced, very clean. Everything so far has been perfect. Sweet tea sweet and refreshing. The rolls were great, baked ravioli appetizer was fantastic. Lettuce crispy and ice cold, even the croutons are perfect. Sauces are great, and the owner is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely a hot spot for Italian food, especially considering the price
This place is great! The food is fantastic! The staff is fantastic! You just cant beat it. Hidden back off interstate 45 in Conroe, Marsalas is a true Conroe gem. Isaac runs this place so smoothly. GO THERE, you will not be disappointed. (Small, quaint, and personable. If theres a wait line, WAIT, its worth it).
Oh man, oh man, oh man. What happened here? The hype is NOT real. Literally all the tables (just 3) had problems with their checks/meals while we dined. The food was bland beyond belief.I wish we could have had other reviewers mentioned.Sorely disappointed, really wanted to like it.
Looking for something different than the usual chain restaurants and stumbled upon Marsalas. So glad we did. This quaint little place dished out the best dine out experience weve had in a long time. The staff was super friendly from the time we walked in the door until we left, the food was fantastic and our server, Alexis, made sure we had everything we could want while being the friendliest person I think Ive ever met. Owner, Isaac, came over to check on us before we left too. From the warm, inviting ambiance to the phenomenal staff and service, to the amazing cuisine, this place is hands down one of the best restaurants weve been to in years.
This is a hidden gem! I can’t believe we just found this wonderful place! The restaurant is in a small strip center…very unassuming and nothing fancy. The inside is the same, but the food….wow! Everything is made fresh in house each morning, so the flavors are fresh and delicious. Service was excellent and the prices very reasonable. We can’t wait to go back. If you are in the mood for delicious Italian food, you must try Marsala’s! You won’t be sorry.
My husband randomly found this place online, and surprised me with it a few months ago. It’s so great. The food was fantastic. So far we’ve gotten the chicken parm, shrimp scampi, chicken Florentine, and chicken cannelloni. Appetizers of ravioli and stuffed mushrooms. I really can’t wait to go again and try more.My only complaint was that on our last visit there was a large group of I believe teenagers (for what I assume was a dance), and they were astronomically loud. The restaurant is a beautiful, but small space, not really made for big parties. I won’t dock this amazing restaurant for the noise of teens, but I wouldn’t recommend they take large patties or kids.
The best Italian food in the area! My husband and I eat here every week- some times more than once a week! I haven’t eaten anything yet that I didn’t just LOVE! Their portions are extremely generous and their service is prompt & friendly. Everything is fresh & hot - and their desserts are to die for! Plus, on Thursday nights there is live music and half- priced wine. We love Marsala’s!!! ❤️
Good food and service all in all. I cannot really compare to other restaurant because I have tried food in other restaurant that really taste better. But this one is not bad at all. The service is good and they make sure you are ok while waiting for your food. Yes. I will come back and would like to try their other food to see how it is taste like compare to others. The price of food I think is fair. And yes. I would recommend.
Again, my husband and I had a wonderful meal at Marsalas in Conroe. We have never received anything at either site, that was unsatisfactory.I recommend you try it. The entire wait staff is charming. We enjoyed our dinner after a round of golf. The food was delicious and service was superb.Today we enjoyed a belated Valentines Birthday meal. It was beyond compare and delicious as usual. Yummy.
Marsalas was a big hit here at the Conroe Chamber. Excellent service. Delivered HOT and on time - with all the condiments! DELICIOUS! Everyone enjoyed their meal. The desserts (we ordered one of each to taste test) were fabulous! As far as dine in.... go on Thursday night for live sax player. Great atmosphere!
This is hands down the greatest food I have had in my entire life. The stuffed mushrooms were...OH MY GAAAHHHHHHH out of this world. I also ordered soup, it was real soup yall! There were beautiful chunks of fresh vegetables. The ordering experience was super pleasant and the delivery staff was so nice. This is my new favorite place in the entire world and I plan on eating here all the time!
Our overall experience was amazing!!! The recipe was exceptional and the overall quality and taste of food was great. My oldest is picky about food and the chef offered to make her some Manicotti (an item that is not on the menu), she said it was amazing and that it was the creamiest Ricotta shes ever had. I had the Chicken Picata, and it was very good, the cream sauce was light and creamy and the chicken was nice and crispy. We will be back for sure.
We had a great meal here tonight. First time. Staff and owner were very friendly like everyone said. They even made the daily special from day before for us. The pizza was PERFECT, nice thin crust with plenty of toppings. Very rare we love the pizza so much. Would come back just for it. Spaghetti was spot on, marinara was light and not over seasoned. Pasta could be more al dente but we cannot complain as they make it for Americans. Calamari was crispy and fresh. Yum! Ravioli al Vodka was tasty and nice. The dining room is cozy and a proper neighborhood place. We would recommend this to anyone searching for a homestyle and just good place for food. :)
We were just looking for new places and they had a top rated establishment. Skeptical upon pulling up. The 5 starts I gave them doesnt do them justice. This place was above and beyond any place Ive had Italian in the country, and I used to travel for work. The service was prompt and attentive. 11/5 would recommend. Prices were super friendly. Cant wait to go back.
This little Italian restaurant is absolutely beautiful. My daughter and I stopped by for a quick bite and we felt like we were in little Italy. From the moment we stepped foot in the door such a warm greeting super clean the meal was delicious the service was excellent. We had such a nice time. We didn’t want to leave. I can’t get over those scrumptious garlic knots, oh my gosh they were so good. I crave to go back already. I’ve been looking for our sweet little simple restaurant with great food and service that doesn’t charge you a car payment. Absolutely perfect. Sorry I can’t say enough, I want to go back today.
Let me begin by saying that Im of Sicilian descent, so Im much more critical of Italian food than any other. I heard about this place from a couple of clients, so I decided I would give it a try. First of all, the service was extremely attentive and on the ball. The restaurant was very tidy and inviting. The menu is nothing extravagant, just your typical Italian American fare, but I ordered the ravioli alla vodka with shrimp, and I have to say, it was excellent. The shrimp were cooked perfectly well. The ravioli was al dente, and the sugo alla vodka was flavored just right. So far, Id have to give this place as good of a review as possible. I am anticipating returning, and we shall see how the other items on the menu taste. Lastly, there is no Italian restaurants in Conroe that I have been to that come close.
I think I need to go back for a do over. Maybe try a lunch. Our server rushed us. A couple of girls looking to enjoy a chit chat over a good meal never needs rushing. Our food came out in literally 2 minutes. Not sure how freshly cooked everything could have been. The tiramisu was delicious. I will give it a second chance, but room for improvement.
Wasnt much of a fan of the calamari appetizer as for $9 there wasnt much to it but some rather thin and rubbery pieces of squid. The flavor and texture was just not that good. The chicken marsala was ok (I had the no pasta sub grilled vegetables) with the marsala sauce being fairly flavorful but very sweet and not many mushrooms. The rolls were nice but rather greasy. For $25 (plus tip) I was hoping for much better and based on other reviews, was expecting much better.
We’ve been there about five times and have never had a bad experience. The food is amazing and despite have full you are, you will make room for dessert. They will even sell 1/2 a slice. I highly recommend this place. The food is superb, the waitstaff is very attentive, the atmosphere is friendly and the prices are great
Love this place. ❤️ Excellent service. Steven was amazing and was very observant. Ask for Steven when and if you give it a try. Awesome pizza and spinach dip. Would definitely recommend this little quaint restaurant. Worth stopping by for a meal or ordering to go. We will be back here soon.
My husband and I wanted to celebrate our 6th anniversary at a restaurant we never been before. And Marsalas Italian Grill popped up on Google for romantic restaurants in Conroe. The service was great, everyone was so friendly, the food... WOW! The best fried raviolis I have ever had. My husband had a meal with chicken with the jalapeno cream sauce on it. That was amazing. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce that was really good too. Jake was our server and he was amazing. Made sure we had everything we needed. Thanks Jake. And the owner (maybe) checked on us a few times which is nice. We will be coming back for sure.
Its alright. The service was excellent. Quick, polite, attentive staff. I really enjoyed them so much that it kind of pains me to say the food was rather bland. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan with fettuccini alfredo. The marinara on the chicken parmesan was decent. Not exceptional but definitely decent. The alfredo on my noodles however was almost without flavor. I will give them this though the garlic knots were warm and fresh. Excellent crust and well developed glutens made them a joy to pull apart and chew. The seasoning and garlic on them was quite delicious. So many places Ive been have had dry garlic knots, but not these. These were delicious.
We loved Marsalas. It all started with the rolls that were covered in butter and garlic. The caprese salad had great tomatoes and balsamic reduction. But the chicken piccatta was large enough to share. The spaghetti was al dente. The waitstaff was amazing and we will go back again, even though we live in Dallas.
The first time we ate here, we had just signed a contract at The Barn at Four Pines Ranch to have our daughter’s wedding in which Marsalas caters. We ate here right afterwards and loved it! They catered the wedding and the food was just as amazing as if we had eaten in the restaurant! The family liked it so much we some of the family went to eat here the next night after the wedding! Everything we have had here has been delicious! So whether you eat in or have it catered, it’s just as good! Keep up the good work! We will definitely be back soon!
This is an absolute gem! Great place to eat. First let me say, the location is not the best, but please don’t let the location and appearance fool you, Marsala’s is going to give the other small established Italian food in Conroe (rhymes with Schmo’s) a run for their money when it comes to both quality and quantity. Give them a try, I think you will be satisfied and may have another local favorite to tell your friends about. Inside it was clean, rustic Italian look, friendly staff and great food. I think this restaurant would be BOOMING on the new south loop 336 complex. Bottom line, I think Marsala’s has just found a new home in Conroe! Enjoy!
Food was just ok. Service was terrible. I am usually not the one to write a review but felt inclined to do so. Buddy and I were looking online to find a new place to go for lunch in Conroe. We were just bored with the same lunch routine. Well don’t go here if you are on a strict time schedule for work lunch break. Very slooooooowwwwww service. It took 20 minutes just to get our check. Not sure where all the great reviews are coming from about the food being so wonderful. Honestly, I would go to Olive Garden over this place if that tells you something. Don’t waste your time or money if your looking to try something new.
This place was very amazing and accommodate to all our needs. I reserved seating for about 14 people. They had everything prepared and even helped us with timing. I advised them that I would be proposing to my girlfriend and they helped set everything up for us. The food was fantastic and the experience was very pleasing. The wine choices were very good as well and they allow people to bring in their own wine. I cant forget to mention the service which was impeccable! Thank you for making our experience a great one!
Ive had good experiences here except for a few months ago and today .(My last two trips.) .Usually the food has been properly prepared and tasty. Especially the stuffed mushrooms. I ordered the primavera this evening with Alfredo and the taste was rather bad. The garlic bread was not cooked all the way with the fresh spread was just sitting on top. A new batch was better but still not quite right. The previous trip my guests all had stomach problems within a few minutes of leaving and we had shared the stuff mushrooms which also tasted off compared to usual.Generally the wait staff is great.Something seems to have changed lately and quality has dipped surprisingly low considering how high it was previously .
Excellent food! I had a great experience, I ordered Chicken Marsala & a cup of tomato basil soup, and all I can say is YUM, I had great service, the bread that started the meal was amazing as well,I believe his name was Bryan or Ryan but that’s beside the fact that it was 5 star, would totally recommend! Best Italian food around, way better than Italianos
I know I reviewed this restaurant at their other locations, but wanted to say that the new Conroe location is every bit as good as the originals! We drove over from Huffman to check them out, and it was worth it enough to make another trip a week later.Stop in and check them out, youll be glad you did!
Marsala’s catered our daughter’s recent wedding at The Overlook, and everything turned out fantastic! The food was delicious, including appetizers and a beautiful dessert bar, the servers were professional and helpful, and the cleanup was fast and efficient. We highly recommend Marsala’s for any of your events to be catered.
Holy Balls I love this place. The food is excellent, and Ive eaten at quite a few Italian Restaurants (not just Olive Garden etc) and the food is fresh and delicious. The menu isnt to expansive, but youll enjoy every DISH on it and have fun trying new ones. Desert is ok, but Im not a desert guy anyways. MUST TRY.
Delicious! Marsalas catered my wedding in November and wow, I was impressed. We went in for a food tasting a few months prior to the wedding and met with Bryce. He was very professional and helpful. After the wedding we had a lot of compliments on the food and that it was some of the best “wedding food” they’d ever had. My husband and I have decided that we will visit the restaurant on our one year wedding anniversary and hopefully we can continue to do so year after year.
I was searching for some where to eat on our way back from Houston, when I saw the reviews on Marsalas Italian Grill. Im so glad we stopped!! This is the BEST Italian food Ive ever eaten. I mean EVER!! The food is so fresh, the bread, the pasta, the chicken even the desserts! The atmosphere is nice and quiet, (we got there at 6pm on a Saturday) but as the evening progressed more and more people showed up and it was quite lively. The staff is friendly and always made sure we had what we needed. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for homemade Italian food!
“The food was so good; I took the plate from the empty seat next to me back to the buffet for seconds!” This was a quote from a wedding guest. We are beyond ecstatic with the food and service provided by Marsala’s Grill. This restaurant is a preferred catering vendor through the venue we had our wedding. From my first interaction with Suzanne, the caterer, I was excited for our tasting. She was so sweet, polite, professional, and helpful. At the tasting we were able to sit down and ask her all of our questions. She went through the catering menu with us and got an idea of what we wanted. She had the kitchen bring out several samples. We loved EVERY plate they brought out. We were able to decide on our apps, entrée and beverages. We also arranged for them to cut and serve the cake. The food is exceptional and has great prices!Wedding Day: The day of the wedding, they showed up on time, set up, and were ready to serve at the start of the reception. Their entire service was FLAWLESS! They were able to serve all 180 of my guests, buffet style, in less than an hour. They also bussed the tables quick and efficiently after dinner. We had chicken alfredo pasta and chicken marsala with bread sticks and salad. All of our guests RAVED about how great the food was! I have never been to a wedding where people talked about the food as much as they did at our wedding. Like EVERYONE LOVED IT!! It was such a good feeling to know how happy everyone was with the service and great tasting food!Thank you, Suzanne, and your entire staff, for your exceptional service and overall AMAZING experience!! I am so thankful we were able to work together. YOU are what makes the entire experience PERFECT from beginning to end. It was a pleasure working with you!!! 🙌🏼5 STARS 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
The place is small but theyve done a good job of making accessible walkways and it does not feel overcrowded. The service is ALWAYS fast and friendly. We love occasional weekday lunches and date night dinners. Everything we have eaten here has been fantastic. But if you have been holding off trying those steaks because you think they are a bit expensive, you are sorely missing out. The steak is easily the most delicious, tender, beautiful, worth every single penny, steak Ive ever eaten. My husband drives me across town for date night here. He has brought numerous coworkers who now bring their families and coworkers here (again, many from across town). In fact, when we want to impress ANYONE we know, we drive them an hour from our house to Marsalas for steaks. One of our more traveled friends from overseas proclaimed it was the second best steak he had eaten, in the world (the first being in Ireland). So, please, eat the italian food, its delicious. But do yourself a favor and try one of their steaks, you just wont regret it.
The food is excellent and the price is very reasonable. Had a couple complications with my order, new people, but the were very professional in fixing the mistake. Dessert is very good to, and its a nice little place to sit and eat. Highly recommend it. Will continue to come back.
We have always had fantastic service and the food is great. The prices are good. Tonight I ordered for pickup and the order got messed up. I should have checked before I left but I noticed when I got home. I called to speak to the manager and she had an employee deliver the correct order to me. Excellent management.
My husband and daughter (1 year old) had lunch Saturday. Wasnt busy, was just right. Waiter was on point with all food, drinks, everything. The food was great, amazing taste, chicken was cooked just right. I know our daughter loves it she was covered in alfredo sauce haha! Thanks for a great lunch! Will def order here again!-smith family
Some Italian restaurants use the same sauce flavors (i.e., Alfredo) on different dishes. At Marsalas each dish is made separately with distinctive flavors, delicious ample portions which are memorable. Have yet to try all their many pasta & pizza dishes. Save room for their sweet desserts. 😎
I panicked when I heard the (false) rumor that this place was closing. It is a lonely outpost in the culinary desert of Huffman. The best dish is their Magnifico, which is a filet mignon in a pepper cream sauce. Dont make the mistake of getting the Cabernet Sauvignon, which is good but not magnificent as is the peppercorn. Their steamed vegetables are delicate slices of seasonal fresh vegetables. Dessert is and always should be creme brulee!
Disappointed. Portions are smaller. Chicken marsala was half as thick as before. Fettuccine sauce like water (manager did take it back and bring it back thicker). Wait staff hanging out sitting in chairs. Had to ask for bread. Was not awful, just not as good as I remember it being last time
Lunched, atmosphere of screaming children, under staffed/trained waitstaff and overcooked chix. Wine was enjoyable, fair selection. Foods are not authentic, (served a Ceasar salad of head lettuce with a few outer romaine leaves to darken salad, dressing heaped over the top and served), adaptations and interpretations. For those whom have mexican or mexican foods to choose from, I suppose its a welcome change. Has a long way to go to satisfy knowledgeable diners that wany properly prepared foods and service.

2021-12-14I cant say enough good about this restaurant! When we arrived the waiter, Steven, kindly opened the door for us. Upon entering we immediately felt at home! The restaurant was extremely clean and was very cute and cozy. We ordered the stuffed 🍄 mushrooms and WOW!! Very delicious! Definitely recommend! They also give you complimentary buttery garlic rolls. So tasty! We ordered the 3 meat pizza and it was perfect! Just the right amount of cheese and ingredients! To top it off we tried the🥕 cake...out of this world!! The owners are so very kind and really care about their customers! We will definitely be back and highly recommend! 5 stars

2022-05-29I dont really know where to begin to describe this little hidden gem. The food here blew my family away. Starting from the amazing bread knots that were straight out the oven, to the super delicious entre. I wanted to try dessert but, I was too full. The portions do not seem all that big but, the food is so rich with flavor that, the portion sizes were perfect. This was my first time my family and I visited and, we definitely will be back, only next time I know, not to fill up on the great bread knots. Below was our left over box with partial lasagna, garlic knot, and my chicken fettuccine alfredo. I highly recommend trying this place, the staff is super friendly/helpful and you wont be disappointed.

2021-09-14First I have to say the staff are very kind!!!’ I placed a pick up order for desserts and I am so disappointed that I have to say they were not good. The cheesecake is literally hard and there was no topping for such as strawberries. The crème brûlée was put into a packaging that it should never have been in and it just ran and melted the taste was really bland and I love crème brûlée so that was very disappointing. The carrot cake is pleasantly pleasing and tasty.

2022-02-07Very happy with this place, service was great and the food outstanding!I had the fillet with sauteed spinach and it was awesome. Probably the second most tender I have ever had. Full of flavor and cooked perfectly! If youre in the mood for Italian this one should be on your list

2022-01-165 stars is an understatement for this business! Everything from the employee taking my order, the super fast delivery, & the food was fantastic. Tammy, the delivery driver was so so kind. Long story short I made a mistake with the money I gave her and she came all the way back once she realized to give it back to me without me even noticing the mistake I made. I will forever be a customer to this fabulous restaurant!!!

2022-04-09My husband and I were looking for a new Italian place to try and we came across this gem randomly by online search. It was hiding around the corner and Im glad we stopped because oh my gosh the pizza was the best pizza Ive ever had. Light crispy crust, crumbled and sliced sausage and yellow and red bell peppers just everything about this pizza was beyond delicious! The rolls were hot and fresh and so good and the chicken in our grilled chicken salad was tender and delicious. We already decided to come back next weekend, thank you sooo much Marsalas for the amazing fairly priced food and service. 5 stars! Incredible.
