Fantastic customer service! Their lumber prices are great and the folks that work here are easy to work with. This place has become my go-to for building supplies.Customer service is very important to me. Too many of the big box stores ignore that, so I’ve been steering away from them.An example of pricing- we were shopping for a good sized load of Romex the other day and McCoy’s prices were the same as Lowe’s. When money is the deciding factor, going with McCoy’s makes sense. You get competitive prices with the added bonus of great customer service.

After a frustrating day a Lowes getting no help whatsoever and shorting through crappy product I finally ended up here. Night and day difference. Everyone was super helpful, very friendly, and the quality was way way better. Spent slightly more on my plywood but what I got actually looked nice, they helped me sort through it and load it, all with a smile. Definitely coming here from now on.

Got a quote from them on wood, which was reasonable, but they didnt have what I needed in stock even though it was listed on the quote. Just do your due diligence and order ahead of when you need the lumber.

When a retail store is in local competition with 5 other stores, they need to put their best foot forward before their customers find better service in another location.I went to the McCoys Kerrville location (4-16-18) in search of a specific plumbing part. This is a very common part called a ballcock used in toilet tanks.The clerk, Rick, could not locate the part, taking me to several different areas within the plumbing fittings. He was unable to guide me to anything remotely resembling the part that I needed even after I explained what it was for. It was quite obvious that he has no experience whatsoever in plumbing nor had his bearings within that department.Rather than being nice about it, he became sullen and snippy.Granted, this purchase was less than $10 but it was the last dollar McCoys will get out of me. There are 4 more stores in town whose clerks know their products or at least know how to be nice about it.

Great place to pick up lumber and basic home repair supplies. Not as great an assortment as the big box stores, but quicker service. They load out lumber, concrete, etc., for you, as well.
