Great place to exercise...even with the non-stop construction at Amarillo College.
This place has improved a lot.Sometimes you can find gross things but its a lot better than it used to be. I prefer to go when there isnt a lot of high schoolers around. But its nice and spacious for you to bring your families.
Nice, clean park. Has playground and a splash pad for kiddos in summer. Volleyball courts, basketball courts, rose garden, tennis courts, field area for soccer or football. Picnic tables around park also. Could have cleaner, up to date restrooms for sure but other than that not a bad park at all!
Free concerts frequently, this one is Yellow City Sound Festival, presented by PBS and Amarillo college.
Nice park with plenty of amenities--playground, splash pad, volleyball ball courts, basketball, tennis courts and I think even pickle ball. I saw bathrooms, but I dont know if they are available throughout the day.
Always nice to visit for a little exercise, and enjoying the weather.
Good place to take the kids to feed the dogs play in the park especially this time of the year when the leaves are changing on the trees

Was the Christmas afternoon teaching the granddaughter how to roller skate. Gorgeous day, park was clean - few people around, very nice day. Had to cut it short because the rest rooms still closed for covid.
Spent the afternoon with our 1 year old grandson and had a great time! Park is very well maintained, all playground equipment was clean and working. The other park visitors were friendly and it felt like a safe place.

Its a very clean park. Weve been bringing our girls here to play on the playground for years. Its a good place to take a walk and take in the beautiful rose garden. Theres a splash pad open in the summer too.
It was ok the bathrooms were clean nice for a park and I enjoyed my grandson track meet but there is limited parking be ready for that if there is a big event....
This is a pleasant park with a beautiful rose garden. It was swings and sprinklers so that children can play. There are picnic benches for lunches with your love ones and beautiful green grass to rest on. There is also BBQ grills for your use. Unfortunately the bathrooms are unkept after our delightful lunch we had to leave because the bathrooms were gross.
I like going to this park. The gazebo is perfect for a wedding, only because I had my wedding here. The warm weather time, it has beautiful roses. And in the cooler weather is still just as beautiful. The playground is fun for the kids and you can always find a place to do some activities or just have a picnic on the grass.
This is a great park with something for everybody. The central area has a gazebo and a rose garden that is awesome when in bloom. There are basketball and volleyball courts on the Southwest side, tennis courts on the Southeast side, and a large field on both the North and South sides. The playground has a rock climbing area and a splash pad.
This park has a little bit of everything. Basketball and volleyball courts. It also has a fantastic tennis courts too. There is a splash pad there for the little ones. Not to mention that there is a bunch of fun playground equipment for the kiddos. The middle of the park has a fabulous gazebo that is great for events and even weddings. To top it all off, there is an enormous amount of regular park grounds that you and your whole family can enjoy.
Park bench/grassy area has a large uneven hole in the main congregation area. Hazard for children.
Memorial Park is a fantastic place to visit. Great gazebo with a garden attached. The sports capabilites here are numerous. A large open field on one side, basketball courts and tennis courts are available for public use. There is also what is called the Splash Pad. This is a nice place to get wet, bring your kids and just cool off in general in the Texas heat. Overall its a nice place to come and relax and forget the taxing day you had. I will edit this post later with photos!
Love to walk my dog here in the winter. Quiet and Peaceful. Watch out for the motorcycle cop though going north on Washington by the basketball court!

The equipment is pretty new and is neat. There is a climbing wall and splash pad. But its located in a more run-down neighborhood. The park is littered with all kinds of trash. The bathrooms are dirty and smelly. On the day we were there, the kids were pretty rough. I didnt feel like my kids were very safe.
Great place for all ages. Lots of open green space with shade from mature trees. Also sport areas and a playground with a splash pas right beside it. Plenty of picnic areas with tables and built in grills. Check out the rose garden.

Great park with basketball courts and a wide open area for lots of kids to run around with a school in the background but it doesnt affect the park at all honestly assistant overall good park we had Baby shower out there and had no problems at all.
It is a very popular park in Amarillo. Lots of events happen here. The kids always have a blast in the jungle gym! I enjoy walking through the rose garden.
My kids love this park and the splash pad but there is no benches or anything to sit on if the picnic tables are taken for birthday parties.

Beautiful park, lots of local history and adjacent to the Amarillo community college. Areas designated for picnics and outdoor parties and reunions. Great tennis courts and working restroom facilities.

Like Tony the Tiger always told me as I was growing up as a little toddler into my rambunctious teen years he said theyre great with a finger in the air and not the middle one so have a great day and Chihuahua have even better night

It was beautiful while I was there it was wet from rain but it was still incredible I would highly suggest to anyone looking for a park to take their kids to

Enjoyable evening. Bathroom are a typical public restroom. Nice place to enjoy with the family. Lots of trees and open space.
Took the kids to just get out of the house and play some pokemon go. And the splash pad is always a hit!

2022-05-30Very nice park with large shade trees and wide open spaces and a splash pad and playground. When the roses are in bloom it truly is beautiful. Only thing that I would do differently is to to increase amount of waste receptacles.

2019-07-25It was on my path to a new found journey. Im still here, as the locust do their chatting in the trees. Its a nice time to be here, its not hot and quiet.

2021-07-08Really nice theu cut the grass and cleaned it up. A lot of people bringing there dogs . Plus a nice jungle gym / slide area for the kids restrooms were clean. Gave it 4 stars because no water in the splash area.

2021-10-08Memorial Park is the most beautiful park in the City. The rose garden is being restored! The Park workers are working hard and keep this park in impeccable shape. Right next to Amarillo College. What a wonderful place to spend the day...
