Michaels in other cities:
I’m here now on Tuesday December 28th @ 2:40pm. There are signs on the door that read closed today. Idk if there was a COVID exposure but there are ppl inside walking around in hazmat suits wiping surfaces. I went to pick up an online order I need before Friday. I tried calling but no one answered. Safety first but I’d like a refund to get my item at different store.
Very friendly and helpful staff here. Had a project where Where I thought I could spray paint glass. Luckily one of the employees guided me in the right direction to acrylic paint instead and my project turned out excellent which I cant say would have happened had I stuck with my original plan.
Bought a shadow box today from this Michaels location and unfortunately the cashier was on her phone the entire time. No “hello”, “how are you”, “did you find everything ok”, or “have a great day”. When my husband and I were talking about how rude the situation was in front of her she completely ignored us even though she heard us. Really too bad. I definitely won’t be coming back to this location even though it’s closest to my residence. What has happened for customer service these days?!
I called prior to heading out (it was a couple days after the ice storm) first person to answer stated they closed in 5 mins and hung up. It was only 5:35ish. I called back to confirm, the Manager stated oh she is new. Correct me if Im wrong but since when does being new excuse hanging up on someone mid sentence? I took a chance and went to the store anyway , im glad i did the casheir had apparently lied. They closed at 6. This was pretty irritating, my order had already been sent to the wrong store and I had to make a farther then expected drive to get my purchases. I wont show here again I will stick to my local store.
Came for embroidery supplies and was a bit nervous on pricing, but wow!! Michael’s has incredible quality thread and embroidery hoops that work perfectly and weren’t too expensive! Super great customer service too, had J as my cashier and made it all the better! Definitely recommend this location to anyone for crafting supplies
This is my typical go to location. This Christmas season has been harder to get everything you need since the stock varies every time I come here. You can try to go online to look at stock bit they typically seems to be off. I had been looking for a wreathe for a diy project and it constantly showed out of stock online for the Ashland brand (still today it says not available in store and to ship), so I decided to call a few times and have been told they did not have any in stock. I finally came for an exchange and low and behold they had a wall of them. The staff are mostly friendly but have seems overwhelmed over the Christmas season than Halloween time, but who isnt stressed more right now. The candles are great and I love the sales that are offered, including the reward program they have to earn coupons. My favorite part is Lisa the cashier. She has been there every time I have shopped and I will wait for her to check me out. She is always helpful and enthusiastic! She helped me decide on my final decorations for my diy fall wreathe and Christmas wreathe. Im sure Ill be back here in a couple of weeks with another project and I will be looking for her at the end to help me out once again.
It was a crafting emergency and the store closed in 20 minutes as I power walked my way through the isles trying to grab everything I needed. I have to say, 6 out of 5 stars for clean, helpful employees, and the store overall. To be honest I think it was one of the most positive retail experiences I’ve ever had. I’m for sure going to exclusively coming to this location for all crafting needs.
Worst experience with a Michaels store ever!Associate assured me that my item would be ready for pick up by the time my friend arrived, when he got there the manager said it was not available. I called asked why someone would assure me that it was. The woman on the phone originally lied and stated that she was the manager after she told me she had to ask their boss about the order. I then got transferred to the “boss” and although he was nice, he had no real solution. Customer service was not helpful either. After time and effort wasted, they had nothing to offer me.
I walked in and was immediately greeted by the staff which I loved. Also upon checking out, the cashier made me aware of a 20% off coupon on the Michael’s website which she helped me retrieve. That same say I returned to make an exchange as I bought the wrong item, and was once again greeted with a big smile. The cashier I went to this time was really nice, and made my exchange process seamlessly easy. Her name was Lisa. Wonderful customer service!
If you are looking to craft supplies, this is the place. There is always a wide variety to choose from and the prices are decent. Also, there are always good sales and coupons for Michaels. The staff is very well informed with whay they carry. The shelves are always stocked and the entire store is very clean. A good place to check out.
I love Michaels, I could get lost in there for hours looking at everything they have to offer. Today, I went for fall wreath supplies & they didnt disappoint. So many options to choose from. I buy some florals at Dollar Tree & then always go to Michaels to find a step above items to add to my wreaths. It gives them a better high-end look overall. My cashier was friendly & even helped me make a ribbon choice at the register during checkout. Its always good to have another opinion. Cant wait to see whats on offer for Halloween. 🎃🍁🌰😊
I usually have a pretty decent experience in this michaels. It is close to corporate headquarters so everything is usually in top nop shape. The framing department is wonderful. They run great specials and the work looks amazing for years to come. Isaac is always funny and helpful.
Looking for 3 things: Cake pans - got em, pricey. They had limited vases for all of the floral stuff they have in there - didnt buy. Cake frosting spatula, out of stock. Actually, a lot of stuff in the baking section was out of stock. Cashier was not thrilled that I noticed her standing behind a register that was unlit, nor was her friend standing behind another unlit register. I didnt realize the light was off but she took me anyway. She charged me twice for the pans and I called it out before swiping my card. She fixed it. I dunno. The whole experience was a little off for me. Ill change the review after I visit the site a few more times and see how it goes.
There is no doubt this place is a superstore for arts and crafts. Sales prices were great. Only downside is that we asked an employee where an item was and we got a glazed expression that said she had no idea. But rather than admit that she gave us a very bad suggestion. We ended up on the opposite corner of the store from where we needed to be! Luckily we found a manager personally guided us to the item we needed.
One of the cashiers, a blonde named Michele or another M name, was rude almost to the point of aggression. I believe she’s a manager or lead as the other cashier was directing some customers’ questions to her. Everything annoyed her. She bagged my ceramic items without wrapping them then left them on the counter walked away and logged into another register. I almost stopped her mid transaction to ask if she was ok. I nearly left my things on the counter and walked off. I returned later the same day and had a really nice cashier. I wish I could’ve got his name. I won’t be shopping here anymore. I’ve left my things in the car because I’m not sure I want Michael’s to have any of my hard earned money. I can speak louder with my actions and may be returning the purchases from both trips.
The store was clean and well stocked. It was not too crowded so it was easy to social distance. Staff were around restocking and accessible if you needed them. The store is large and is a perfect place to find ideasfor crafts and new hobbies to experience.Michaels has great sales so Id also download the app and have all their offers in one place.
The basic stock was awful. Supplies such as precision knives, cutting boards, and foamcore were all missing or had one size at a marked-up price. I was trying to support the store instead of buying online but I could not find a single item I was looking for. Being completely out of any sort of precision knife in a craft store is really weird. The staff seemed very nice and professional so I do not blame them for it. Unfortunately it is back to using Amazon for all crafting needs as I know it will be there.
This is normally a good Michaels. Placed an order to pick up in the store same day pick up, before 4pm. Checked my email and texts all evening. For $400 I could have gone to a store that would actually fill my order. If they did not have what I ordered they should have contacted me. But nothing, ugh its frustrating. 5.5 hours to prepare a cricut machine for pickup. Wow! Preparing items for my husbands moms funeral and its such a let down. Unreliable :)
I went to the ice cream joint next door and wife went in here. I got my tasty treat and then entered the store to find her. As I was wondering about minding my own business an employee came up to me with a mask on but you could tell she was smiling and politely reminded me that I needed a mask on to be in the store. I had it in my pocket and completely forgot I was not wearing it probably because I was enjoying my frozen treat from next door. I apologized and quickly put it on. She was understanding and thanked me. Super employee. Thanks for caring for your customers and keeping us in compliance.
This a great Michaels. The staff at this specific location is so helpful and friendly. There are a lot of them, too, so it is easy to get help when you need it. I went here in the middle of the day on a week day thinking it would be slow. I was wrong. It was packed. If you are trying to avoid crowds in stores like I am, then do curbside pick up here. It is a great store and like everywhere else they need your business! Curbside is my plan next time. It was just too busy for comfort in the store for me.
I had an absolutely amazing experience shopping here. Annabelle literally brightened my day!She helped me find exactly what I needed, helped me find an alternative to something that happened to be out of stock so I could start my project today, and was so cheerful and personable it felt like we were fast friends! Thanks you Annabelle for making a random Monday so productive!!
I went after seeing their promotion online for 20% savings. Prices were outrageously high. My cashier was also yelling NEXT extremely loud and obnoxiously even though I was right next to him in line. I mentioned the featured discount to the cashier and he did not uphold the promotion or offer to reimburse me after I paid. Hobby lobby cashiers usually go out of their way to help me save money with readily applying coupons and offers I am unaware of. Awful experience. Will not be back.
Went to get some custom frames for my certificates and diplomas. I needed 4 frames in total. Took a very long time until we were helped, and the employee helped us for about 45 min in making the order online, and adding everything we wanted, including two inner borders. She applied a major discount, and the receipt was still for over $840! For just 4 medium frames! What a rip-off.
Store needs a bit of work when it comes to organization. For example, if youre looking for paint there are two different locations for it (so its easy to miss and you have to travel across the store to compare prices and brands). Also, if you are looking for things, LOOK UP. The shelves may look empty but you can often times spot what youre looking for in the topmost shelf (shoved in plastic bins or just hanging out, I geuss lol)Staff is friendly and they sanitize carts between customers. I gave this location 3 stars because I often find myself traveling to the one in Las Colinas or Carrollton.
Lack of planners; planners and stickers they did have were placed under sales prices that clearly were not the correct price. I was shocked @ the register... half of my order was regular price as opposed to the listed prices on the shelves. Very disappointing that this location cannot properly stock and price their planner merchandise.
Michaels is a perfect place for all your crafting needs. Michaels is in Old Town Plaza right off of Greenville. There is plenty of parking boat in front at the start of store. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They have a huge selection of art supplies sketch pads and watercolor blocks, to pencils and brushes . They have several Isles of yarn for knitting, crocheting, and other needle crafts. There are toys, games and crafts for children. Theres a floral department. And decorations for any occasion or holiday.
Michaels is one of my go-to places, for art supplies, needlecraft Supply, party and seasonal decorations. Michaels has a huge assortment of sketchbooks, pencils, watercolor blocks, canvases, brushes and paints. They normally have aisles and aisles of yarn, but with covid-19 they having a little shopped out. You can get crochet hooks, knitting needles, scissors and accessories for your sewing and needle crafts needs. They have kids crafts and projects. And no matter what the season, holiday or occasion you can find decorations, party favors, and gift wrap. Guaranteed you will walk out more than you thought you needed. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly.
Michaels is a great store. Youll find just about anything you could possibly need depending on your pursuit of any specific art or craft. Im sure there is some real logic built into the store placement of various media, and if youve never been to Michaels, youll see what I mean. Without an abundance of personnel to keep the shelves stocked, that vast selection might not be possible. But on my first visit there, I wish I had taken someone with me who was familiar with the layout. Those who are employed to keep those shelves stocked are not necessarily available to offer guidance, in my one experience. It took me quite a while to find all the products I had come for, but eventually I did find them, and I now have a very good grasp on where to navigate next time. The paper types, pencils, charcoal and more are well known and quality products, and the cashiers are friendly and informative. Overall, Im very happy with my visit there and will definitely come back.
Great craft making supplies, good coupons and specials regularly and a great variety of things from seasonal decor, to fabric, to paint and canvases, to jewelry making and framing. I encourage you to sign up for their emails for the best specials and deals. But be careful full as this is an addiction.
Petra was so very helpful. She approached me to ask if I needed help finding something. (I’m usually trying to hunt someone down to help me so this was very refreshing!). Also, Lisa, a cashier was very helpful and patient with my coupons. She was very nice to deal with.
The location is totally off on Google map. I spent 15 minutes and asked 3 stores pp to find there, and eventually I need to.call the store. Told the girl who is responsible for the pick up at the store to see if it can help them to work on it better, and I said its for your information. She didnt appreciate it at all but just rudely repeat she is not responsible for the Google location. Interesting customer service. Other of my pick up experience is perfect.
Great customer service. They often have great discounts on amazing items, unique items. And with every purchase you get a coupon on your receipt for 50 percent off any originally priced item. Although it is limited to things that dont cost 100s of dollars for obvious reasons
Love the sales on the canvases they have. Everything is so organized! I had a lot of great ideas just walking through the store.. I had a hard time trying to decide on which little project to start. There werent many sales associates around to help though. You had to kind of hunt down people (usually by the front register) for assistance.
I am a crafter. To me, it is like going to the fair. I can find things I know I need and things I never knew I needed! This is my go to place for supplies. The in store pick up or the curb side service makes things convenient. But, there is nothing like roaming the aisles and finding fodder for you next project. Something for everyone!
Very bad experience. I buy thousands worth art supplies (its not cheap) from here, and they have signs that clearly say all off the frames from X brand are BOGO free. The cashier sent me back 3 times, because everytime I picked a frame from X brand, she kept saying oh not that one. The sinage is all over the frame dept and does not clearly specify which frames, they couldnt even tell me which ones were on sale...I left all of the items I was going to shop and walked out of the store. They ought to fix how they label their sales.
It had been a while since Ive been in a Michaels. Very friendly employees willing to help you find what you need.We mainly went to get an idea on prices and what they offered for painting. Their prices are competitive and looks like they have good quality supplies. Defiantly a good place to get what you need right away.
The usual great craft store. Had everything from paints and brushes to floral, frames, scrapbooking, jewelry making, drawing, baking, and yarn art too. Make sure you take advantage of the excellent coupons available on their mobile app! 40% off any regular priced item is one of their regular coupons and that makes me smile!
My second home!! This store always has what I need to get my crafts done and the coupons help also. I personally feel like this location is larger than other locations... or maybe I just like it better. The service is nothing but helpful. Parking lot gets tight but I dont care. Repeat customer for life!
I go there on the average of once or more a week. Great friendly staff. Always willing to help find something if I cant find it. Its a very busy store! Sometimes the check-out line is long, but with multiple cashiers, it moves along fairly quickly. Because its a strip center and a busy location for all stores in the area, sometimes parking can be a bit of a problem, but patience is a virtue! I rarely go there and cant find what Im looking for. The store is always well stocked!
The Frame department employee was very rude and dismissive. I asked him for help and before I finished describing the project I wanted to complete he quoted me $600. There’s no way it was $600 as all I needed was borders cutout to put inside of a shadow box. I found the supplies I needed and asked him to take a look. He didn’t even look up from his computer and waited an extended period of time before addressing me. I then thoroughly explained to him the borders I wanted cut out, he falsely quoted me $172 dollars. I went to the Mesquite location, asked for the same thing and was quoted $32. Such a shame he tried to steal $140 out of a customers pocket. Terrible customer service.
I am a new artist and I usually go here once a week however yesterday will definitely be the last time I go.....i misread the coupon (my fault) thinking it was 50 percent off everything but it was actually off one item. Well unfortunately I had picked up so many things when I realized I had not read the coupon properly. I was at the register when this was discovered and the lady humiliated me beyond measures saying to her manager to void the transaction because apparently I couldnt afford it! I couldnt believe how embarrassed I was with tons of people in earshot to hear this. Nothing was done and even after calling all they had to say was sorry. Well sad to say Ill be going 5 miles further just to shop at Hobby Lobby. Peace and love
I understand cashiers are frustrated but doesn’t mean they have the right to spread it towards customers, I wasn’t sure about a price and asked if the cashier can check it for me and she gave me an attitude “I don’t know the price” and didn’t let me know if she was going to check it for me so I asked if she could check for me pleaseAnd respond to me “I will check it once I’m done” with an attitude. That makes me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable to approach to workers when I’m concerned about something.
Good product selection; found a few items I was unable to find at the location near my home. I really appreciate the skill behind their handmade arrangements. Just know, this location is in a busy area and the parking and ease of getting in and out are not the best. Other than that, a good Michaels with friendly, helpful staff.
Was able to get 40 percent of using my coupon and can really finish my craft projects.I have also been able to continue my canvas board yarn projects (novice but learning),Due to the many sale and clearance items I am able to purchase. proximity to my house is spot on in distance to my house ☺☺
Went for wall decals and picture frames. They don’t carry wall decals, and none of the picture frames I looked at had prices in them. I tried to use the price checker, but the way the have it set up makes it impossible to use for picture frames. It was really annoying, and time consuming, so I gave up and left. Also, the parking spaces are extremely close together.
This particular location is in a very busy complex and the parking lot can get a little crazy at times, but the store is well maintained and great sales throughout the store normally. I prefer Hobby Lobby just a little more due to their home decor is not as impressive as Hobby Lobby.
I brought in a picture of a design made of butterfly wings that I acquired after my father passed away. I reiterated that this was very sentimental. I was so excited as I left, because the colors Katy helped me pick would really make the wing colors pop. Two weeks later a man called saying they were having issues with the wing dust accumulating on the edge the new mat when it was upright and that it was “significant”. I told them I was surprised with how sentimental it was, that if they could not do it that they would have said so.I called Katy and she said it was not significant and that the loss of wing dust didn’t impact the design. I expressed my fear that opening it up again my further disrupt the picture, but because she seemed confident creating a space between the mat would fix them problem I said they could keep it as long as was needed to take care.Almost two weeks later I have heard nothing, so I drop in to see what’s going on with it. After saying she would call me, I ask the gentlemen working to let me see it. Come to find that either no one has touched it or it’s worse than what was described. The wing “dust” was the actual WINGS breaking and accumulating on the edge!I’ve never custom framed anything and even though they refunded my money, my picture is ruined. I would have spent double the $215 initially spent to have it not ruined.
I really enjoy craft stores and my go to is usually hobby lobby. But there seems to be a lack of hobby lobby loactions in Dallas. So I decided to come here instead. I forgot how cheap Michaels is and the fact they are doing the 40% one regular priced item coupon that you can get online (this is something hobby lobby does) I dont miss hobby lobby at all.The cashier who check me out was also so friendly. I wish I remembered her name so I could giver her a shout out! But Ill hopefully see her again when I do go back for other crafting needs.I ended up making a gift basket for a bridal shower with items I bought here. And the bride loved it! Thanks Michaels!
Walked in to the Michaels at Greenville in Dallas with a 50% coupon and a 25% off entire purchase coupon including sale items. Asked a sales representative at the door if I could use both with one sale and if that included all items in the store. She said yes it did. I was purchasing a helium tank for $25 marked everyday price. Asked a clerk if the everyday price was regular price. She said yes. When I went to check out I handed the clerk my 50% coupon and said that was to be used for the helium tank, he said okay. When I got home they had applied the 50% off coupon to a $7.99 item. They had also only used the 25% off coupon on $44 worth merchandise, including the helium tank, even though I had spent $78, I did not realize this until I got home. I called and the manager said, sorry the clerk should have known that everyday items cannot be used with coupons, even though the price is not cut. I believe I did everything possible that I could as a customer. The manager did not offer any compensation for my trouble as I will be returning my purchase to the store. This is false advertising! I will use the remainder of my Michaels coupons at the JoAnns store on Mockingbird in Dallas.SERIOUSLY TIRED OF PLAYING GAMES WITH THESE STORES!!!!!!!
I called in advance and was told they had what my daughter needed for her project..I get there in Uber and they literally had nothing at this location nor was there floor service helpers for new comers like me..I wasted money on a dry run ended up getting everything at WALMART,go figure.. I will NEVER go back to Michaels again because of this location..Im turned OFF
This store has plenty of selection for all your crafting needs. Things are a bit pricey as they are with all of these types of shops but the materials you need will definitely be there if they have the categorization of item. I look to see if I can get a marking knife for Woodworking and couldnt find it but they were plenty of other carving and woodworking tools as well as a leatherworking and painting. As always, they have materials for sewing and papercraft as well.
The store itself is just like every other Micheal. It looks like Pinterest barfed all over the store. The actual art supplies are tucked away in an aisle in the far back. When I was here there were several unattended children running around and not enough staff to deal with it. I needed help finding something but was unable to find any staff on the floor. There was a long line at the registers and only two cashiers available.
Once I walked into the store I was immediately given an up-down glance by an employee who then called on the employee radio for someone to go watch the spray paint. I walked away from this annoyed, but still needed my supplies. Once I got to the art supplies I noticed that there was a security camera with a video display (so you can see that youre being recorded) that was constantly zooming in on me and specifically my face even though there were multiple customers in the aisle not being monitored. While this was happening I noticed multiple employees circling the aisles I was in and only watched me instead of approaching me asking if I needed any assistance. I am a professional artist who produces a lot of work and spends a lot of money on supplies every time I go on a supply run. Im disgusted by how I was profiled and I will forever be taking my business elsewhere.
Lovely store but shady business practices. A couple weeks ago came to get a quote on custom framing. The quote came out to be $350. The attendant suggested to wait for the sale price. Today i got email for the “70% off sale” so I go to the store and have the quote performed again. This time the base price is $500. So yes, after the 70% off it does come out to be cheaper, but these guys are inflating prices before the sale. There are guys online who do the custom framing for a fraction of their price. For everything else just go to HobbyLobby.Last time ever I buy from them.
Poor, poor customer service. I cant really comment on their quality. Ive used Michaels, a different store, before for custom framing and absolutely loved the results AND the service. I walked around their frame department for nearly 25 minutes and not one associate ever acknowledged me, said hello, or asked if I needed help. During my time there I decided my piece will need to be custom framed but I refuse to give this store any of my money.
I LOVE MICHAELS!!! Whether youre shopping for back to school items like their well made planners, or youre looking for crafty supplies like washy tape or paints, or you want some decorative home decor items, Michaels is the place to go! I personally love arts and crafts supplies, so I often find good washy tapes and duct tape from there. I recently bought a Happy Planner from there and it is so well made! Sometimes things are a bit pricey, but I think its worth it for well made items!
I went over here cause the website said that they had what I was looking for. But when I got their they didnt have it all. So I asked one of the employees she was like you cant go by the website cause its not always right. So I told her I called them before I came and I was told that it was in stock to come on over. So I was very upset when I got their and they didnt have what I was looking for.
We avoid Hobby Lobby due to their business foundations in religion. However our last experience at Michaels almost changed that. Rude cashiers who are not busy made us feel like we were an inconvenience for having the audacity to ask them to check us out.Their fabric department is always busy, but the staff there are great to work with.
Worst customer service I have ever had at a Michaels store happened here. After asking for help to find an item once, I was told an aisle number before the associate walked off. Found the aisle, which had no organization at all, and asked another associate who responded with Right there by the $7.99 tag. There were multiple tags for $7.99. So, I asked politely if he could show me, and he stomped over and pulled the item off the wall and shoved it into my hands and yelled Its right here. After he walked away, I calmly hung the item back up and walked out. On my way out, the manager was standing next to the door and I explained about the interaction with the associate. He seemed uninterested and was dismissive. I told him I would find another store to spend my money if these individuals did not care about customer satisfaction! I have never been to a store and been treated in such a rude manner.
Caveat Emptor! My LAST experience EVER with any Michaels Store any location. They lost my business and I have filed an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau regarding bait-and-switch pricing. The Michaels website advertised .99¢ for Artists Loft Level 1 Acrylic Paint, so of course I got on the bus in 100°F heat to take advantage of the sale. I treated myself to a tube of Liquitex Level 3 Acrylic White at 50% off. When I cashed out, I noticed that the management was in the register next to me. I always try and say hello and make small talk, because shes a nice person towards me. I left and went on my way. I did not bother to check my receipt due to elation. I was truly excited about PAINT.One week later, I have a 50% off one item coupon and intended to spend some money. I pulled out my receipt and noticed that I was charged $2.00 ea instead of .99¢ ea per tube. So I showed the manager my receipt, the difference would have added up to $10.00. They couldnt find it in their system and suggested that I contact Michaels corporate. So, I did. They could not find the previous deal either, and didnt seem to care that Im on a fixed income and spent ALL extra money in that store. They acted as if I were Cray and werent interested in coming to a solution, so I informed them via phone that they lost my business, my familys business, and I would post online my opinions about my personal experience. Its really bad to choose to lose a customer over TEN dollars.Caveat Emptor !Previous review: (When Michaels has a 60% off one item coupon, it cant be beat(which isnt often). Check the website before going into the store. They now have purchase online and same day pickup. The employees at this location are very friendly and helpful.)
Love live live Michaels. Love the fact that they have every Saturday so Im kind of craft activity for your children. The Mesquite location has an amazing person that does the Saturday classes and the kids activities. The only thing I dont like is that their craft room for the kids is not big enough other than that its great
Waited 45 minutes for custom framing and no one helped me. I signed their sign-in sheet that says you will be paged when someone is available and walked around the store. After 15 minutes I returned to the area and saw them help other people who were not on the sign-in sheet. No one bothered to say anything like well be with you shortly. Common courtesy, people! They will not be getting my business.
This Michaels has some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The framing department lost my custom ordered frame, and then argued with me for months when I requested a refund. I STILL have not received my money (over $80) after I was promised by the store manager that I would get a refund. I will update this review if I ever get my money back.
Dont let some of the surly staff bother you. The same employees seem to be having rotten day every single time I go to Michaels. It seems to pain them to help you or check you out. Just think of the joy that you or your friends will get from your project or gift. Lots of variety here. Ive never felt more unwelcome at any business but I needed some very specific products they sell at Michaels.
Very disappointed in the service. The associates were eager to say hello and ask if you needed help but quite clueless and disinterested if you did in fact need help. Very poor product knowledge and a general lack of accountability to find answers.I might as well purchase from an online retailer.
I came in ask to find some glue and the young man did help me. Then I ask where was the clearance area I ask him could he show me. He turned around and said. Do you need anything else because I have somsomeplace else to be. My mouth went open. I shook my head and so no. I could believe what he said. I did speak with the manager she said he left and went home. He said oh no I will speak with him tomorrow. She did apologize for what he said. Thats what you get when you try to give young people jobs to help them out.
Unfortunately, a very large proportion of bigger frames are damaged in this store. I even found one particular frame matted for 16x20 with ten in stock, and every single one had damage. Many of the larger frames are stacked next to one another, so are scratched every day by people moving them and perusing...

If youre creative, crafty, artistic, a DIYer or just have the Knack, this place is a Crafters Paradise. Even if youre not crafty, this place will give you inspiration. They offer different types of classes, ie: cake decorating or wreath making, floral arrangements etc. Great for children too. Everything they need for a school project. They also do professional framing for your treasured prints. Next time you need something for your next project, check out, All that Michaels has to offer.
To reiterate what another user stated, do NOT use their framing department. I have had things framed in the past at other Michaels with little to no issues, but recently my wife and I had our diplomas framed there and there were problems after problems. The expected delivery dates were pushed back significantly (about 25 days), therefore making it about 2 months total to complete. They didnt properly frame my wifes diploma because of the type of parchment used (lambskin) and was later told that it was because they didnt have the special equipment to frame it. It would have been nice to have know that after going through all the trouble. With my dipolma, they delayed it several times and called to tell me it was ready when in fact it actually wasnt (I was very frustrated at this point, since I went out of my way to stop and pick it up). It seems that there is only 1 person who knows the ins and outs of frame working there. Everyone else is unfortunately clueless. I should have know better, because when I actually dropped it off there were a few people who were unhappy with their custom framing (so I know Im definitely not the only one). I just hope you will stay away from their framing department.

2022-07-05Ive decided to up my review because I see there is very little in the way of alternative places to get some of the items I find myself needing. They continue to force customers to play the coupon game for getting reasonable prices. Wish this practice would change.Experienced excellent customer service on a recent visit. Such a rare thing these days from other retail stores and restaurants.

2022-06-09This store has a staff dedicated to helping the customer have a wonderful experience whist in the store, therefore I am full of praise for them when it comes to customer service. The reason I gave a 4 is a problem stemming from the company’s inaccurate inventory as shown i. Their systems. A product I was looking for shows up on their website and store data as being available, but no one could find it. I wanted to buy 7 (all of which was available on their website as well as in the store inventory system, but they were nowhere to be found. In addition, there were a good number of products with no price labels attached to the shelf or product. Improving that can definitely enhance a customer’s positive experience in the store.Marisol was exceptional in her quest to make sure I received all the help I needed, though some factors were beyond her control.

2022-02-28Ive been coming here the past 5 years to have framing done. Im super excited that they were offering 70% off custom frame jobs for the 3 documents I brought in this past week. The people for the framing department are very friendly and extremely helpful. The last several diplomas Ive had framed here display excellency in their craft.

2022-05-25Emma was a great help today! I had read a sign wrong about thinking my purchase had a 40% coupon, but she still was able to save me 20% off by letting me know of an online coupon that we quickly found. Thanks, Emma, for your kind attitude and being solution-oriented!!

2022-02-01What a shame. I shop Michaels frequently and this location happened to be the only one with what I needed in stock. Lets just say the customer service was so bad Id rather do without the item then go here again.

2021-05-05I always go for one or two items and end up with alot more bling. I purchased a 12 drawer rolling cart witha work surpass. I was concerned about getting it out and loaded to my car. The young man brought it to the front for me waited while i paid and carried it and loaded it up in my car. Score i was happy. I went into Michaels for yellowish, amber gold beads over a 12mm. I am making a stain glass windchime with beads. Again, i was not disappointed. Pictured are the links that im putting together before the glass is added on.

2020-12-13I’ve gone to this Michael’s multiple times and it was quite a shock to have received rude customer service yesterday right at closing (shocker) from someone who I can honestly say I don’t believe to be a manager or supervisor of the store, the way she came off. Over 90% of all their stickers were on clearance for either $.50 or $1.00 and several were ringing up full price. I took the liberty to take a photo of an item I really wanted to purchase so they can honor the price tag. The young gentleman helping me was checking me out and with a smile making conversation, when this young probably in her 20’s female came to scan the sticker on the portable price tag scanner, she tried to argue that it was full price with my phone on her other hand clearly seeing the photo I took had the correct description of the sticker for $1!!! So I told her then they should correct the price tag because that particular item was clearly priced wrong in their system, abs twisted her lips and put the portable price tag scanner right to my face so I can see the price it was scanning. She did realize what she had done was rude and told me she didn’t meant to be but kept arguing and never honored the price, then as she checked someone else out and I finished with my purchase, she loudly told one of the other employees to put the stickers I didn’t want to take back on the shelf in that moment. My purchase wasn’t even completed. I don’t think I’ve ever walked out that store spending less than $100 but I don’t think I’ll be going back there. No one has the right to put a scanner on a customers face abs on top, not honor a price that was purposely labeled correctly on the shelf but somehow showing the wrong price in the system! VERY rude I almost want to return everything I purchased and make that woman do the return 😤
