Went there 2.5 hours before the Renegade game which should have been enough time to eat and get to the game. We sat directly behind the DJ booth which was cool however they were completely understaffed. It took forever to get drinks but our appetizers came out quickly. It was getting busy so we figured it would take a while to get our food but it came out in a reasonable amount of time. Here is the problem, my two boys never received their food at all.We finished eating and still no food. We asked the waitress where it was and she said it was coming. Twenty minutes went by and my family left for the game while I waited. I was told the manager was coming to talk to me so I waited. Ten more minutes go by and I walked up to the bar where the waitress was and she said he is busy preparing food. I said I need my check without the two kids meals, I had to go. She told me the same manager would have to fix the ticket. I asked if the guy in white in the kitchen was him and she said yes. I approached the kitchen and he saw me coming and finally walked out. He started off by saying the food is almost ready. I lost it and said I dont need it since my family is already at the game. He comped my meal after I asked for my check and I just walked out. I was there for over two hours and my kids never got any food. Waiting for the only manager to come talk to me for over 30 minutes shows how much they actually care about their customers. We will not be back.
The Bartender Jason has a great attitude but a little forgetful. Made great drinks though. Buffalo cauliflower was fantastic but small in serving sizes Pimento potatoes were undercooked and a bit oily. Fish and Chips. Fries were great but cod batter too thick and didnt stick to the fish well. The steak was over cooked so we sent it back. They kindly cooked a new steak to the perfect temp but def re-dropped sweet potato fries which made them a bit too crispy. Meatballs were left to be desired..... Overall the food was...meh, the drink were good. But Toxic Trivia was the saving grace!
For a place that is new and trying to develop an identity, this place sure is going about it the wrong way. Service is absolutely terrible! Note to staff, you might want to cease your gossip session when the customer walks up be seated. And a personality for the bar staff sure would go a long way! The terrible service tarnished what was hoped to be a good night of fun. So if I return to Texas Live, I definitely will not return to Miller until they get their rating (currently 2.6 at this writing) out of the toilet and maybe train their staff in basic customer service.
We were at your establishment on Saturday afternoon (11/16). The facility overall is fantastic, I love the layout, the large screen options outside, and how they run the music/videos during the commercial breaks. A very high production level for watching sports. Note: we were there the night before as well (Friday night), the open area is very high energy and fun, there was a live band playing.Anyway, the real reason for my sending this, is to compliment our server, Ruairi. He was amazing and does a great job for you guys. Also, Derek, who came in later to assist, was great as well. Anyway, just wanted to leave you that feedback so hopefully they get the recognition they deserve.PS - The food was good as well (I had the tuna tacos). I cant speak for the other feedback, but our experience was great on both occasions. Thanks!
Unfortunately this is not the best restaurant or bar. The waitress was a great sport and did a very good job it’s the quality of food and the overpriced drinks that were not good. Crown Apple Sprites had very little Crown and where $9.25 each for a very small glass. Wife had the grilled chicken macaroni and it was absolutely terrible. The chicken was dry/burnt and the mac was cold with extremely thick cheese. We ended up going to another place to eat. Very expensive supposed to be “upscale” but this place is not somewhere we will be returning. They get 2 stars only because the waitress was awesome and the wife’s strawberry marg was decent.
First time visitor, got seated much faster than the 1.5 hour stated thankfully (Cottonbowl weekend), picture is of the Thai Brussels sprouts ( very good just needed cooked a tad longer) we also had beef quesadillas, and an arugula salad (small but enough for me). The service was good, and the flavor of all the dishes were excellent! No need for pepper or salt whatsoever. Definitely would go again.
To start, the faces of the host and wait staff may crack if they actually smile. We have 4 kiddos at home and rarely get a night out - but tonight we did and this is where we ended up, regrettably. We sat for some time at a tiny, tiny cocktail table before we were greeted, and even then the person that greeted us wasnt sure who our server was, so that lead to some confusion. We finally were able to order our food, which took quite a while. My dinner arrived, then FOURTEEN minutes later my husbands dinner arrived - which consisted of some fries and a sandwich - nothing that should ever take that long especially when half of the party has already received their food. Our enjoyable night out was anything but.The manager took care of the ticket, which was the least he could do.My opinion..... they need to ditch food service and stick to just being a bar, because apparently they dont have their act together.
Miller Tavern ManagementI am writing to give a formal complaint of an experience I had at your Texas Live location this past Sunday for the Cowboys/Eagles game. I reserved a table to accommodate 12 guests and that was provided with an agreement to meet a $600.00 quota. I am acknowledging that a contract was drawn and the service Jacob Lovett provided to get it reserved was no question. My complaint is in order to meet a quota you must have service. Our waitress Whitney came to our table sporadically during the entire evening, not to mention taking orders was not done at once but seem to be individually as well with drinks which became a disaster in the end. A table so large my expectation would have been 2 waitresses to serve and take orders at once as we all were ready to order. However:; waiting for her to come back became irritating and as we asked other waitresses to assist they would say let me go get her for you. We placed a few orders at the bar for a few drinks during the wait as well. By half time we all had our food and drinks were finally bought out. We asked for a receipt to see where we were at and at that time we saw a lot of double charges for drinks and I asked that it be separated so it would be easier for her and my party to identify discrepancies. To get that correct took time and it were as if she disappeared altogether. Into the 4th quarter a manager finally comes over and it was as if I had to explain the issue again. He explained to me that the 600 minimum would still need to be met and as I told him that was not the issue in order to order we need someone to take the order. He was more focused on getting the $600 rather solving the issue he was sent over to do which was to correct the ticket so we may order. At this time we are near the end of the 4th quarter, Thunderstorm warnings are in affect and he suggest we can still place our orders because they will still be open. The inconsideration shown blew me away and the fact the service given during the game was horrible and not even addressed by this manager. My time was inconvenient along with my party as we were there for entertainment and to enjoy ourselves yet we were busy trying to get our table issues resolved. My focus was to get home safely as the area of where the tornados hit was the direction we all had to travel back to. I simply asked another manager to break the ticket apart and I paid for the drinks/food we ordered on a separate ticket and the deficit on my another because I would rather dispute this and place my complaint with management who is listening to what has occurred at their place of service than to go back and forth with a inconsiderate manager who did not seem to see the issue of his wait staff nor the problem that occurred to get to this point. I have never in my life seen such service when you have a large group not to mention the place we were located was not so busy so I am rather perplexed of why our service was so slow and horrible to begin. I did email Jacob Lovett of the experience that night hoping to hear from him by that Monday but I got no response. A review and complaint of what I experience is now my option as I tried to reason before doing so.10/22/2019 - A paying customer Leslie M Davis
Welcoming and attentive bartenders. Seems like a nice place to grab drinks and socialize with a few friends. I was there for a reunion of around 150, and the layout was not conducive for that due to the large bar being in the center, blocking the view across the room and making it harder to navigate around the room to mingle. The offerings on the heavy appetizer bar for the event were hit or miss.
I will never be back to this place. Hell i dont even want to risk trying any of its other venues. I gave it a star because there isnt an option for a do not go here button. food is way overpriced to taste so disgusting. Service is an absolute joke. I witnessed the chef wipe his nose at least twice before pulling food from under the heat. Think ill just stick to the food at the ballpark when the season opens up. Go here for drinks not the food they dare serve.
First time inside Texas Live, so first time here as well. My coworkers and I set to come here for at least a month. I had so much hope and excitement built up.Walked in Tavern & Beer Garden and it all just failed!!We stood at the entrance and no one acknowledged us. I took the initiative to walk in and ask the woman if we could sit in the booths, she said yes. She then told the manager that we were wanting to sit there and he told us to walk towards the bar on the other side and they’d sit us. We walk in and Patrick just tells us to go back to the other side. I tell him that they told us to come to this side. He smirked and just fanned us telling us to sit “over there” but it’ll be a minute before anyone can get to us.A min turned into about 30 mins of every worker walking past us. A bartender finally comes up to ask us if we’ve been helped. Of course we tell her no and that she’d get the manager. A server comes over and we ask for the manager and we realize he was the man who told us to walk over to this side. He gives us the excuse that Patrick was overwhelmed and a bunch of other cover up stories.10 mins later we see Patrick quickly checking on the people who had just sat down and taking their orders. He didn’t want to serve us from the beginning and it doesn’t seem like they will do anything about it.
I arrived at 2:02pm and placed my name on the wait list for a table for six. I was told the wait time was two and a half hours...no biggie since we were there for the games. The problem is that I was NEVER called for my table, even after checking back with them I was still never seated!!!
If I could rate the service vs management the servers would win....to my understanding a sports bar should accommodate all teams...theres 12 tmTVs as a non-cowboy fan we should be able wo watch our team as well....we asked for on ofthe TVs at the bar to be set for our team however we were forced by John (management) to watch our game from a distance while there were 11 other TVs with the same game on....Jay(management) was very helpful however was over ruled by John.....as a server Trey was great!!!! The management should be on the same page in order to run a successful business.
I waited an hour and half with no call to be seated. When I inquired as to how much longer I would need to wait for a table, I was informed that the reservation was cancelled.... by me. I wasted an hour and a half due to their disorganization and inability to communicate.

2022-09-22Raw chicken wings, soggy fries, cold meals, and food poisoning. Ate at Millers Ale House on college football opening weekend to watch the games. Figuring the service and food would be all hands on deck for such a momentous occasion but was puzzled when the place was fairly empty. Now I know why. I still tipped my server fairly well 21% because it wasn’t her fault but wrote “fire the chef” on the back of my receipt, and well warranted. I’m now sick with food poisoning going on 24 hours.

2019-04-08Very friendly, helpful staff. The chicken sliders tasted better than they looked. Fries were room temp, but the waiter fixed the situation. Poke tuna was tasty, but had a bit too much mayo. 2 of the beers in the menu were not available (both of them Revolver beers). One of which the waiter said he had never seen available. Thats the distributors fault, but I thought it should be noted.

2022-08-21So actually they are closed. Went there with some friends thinking we would have a fun night with some bar games but they are actually closed. Only Texas live is running with the Rangers game and then the Cowboys game. Yall really need to adjust your hours on Google. Not taking this chance again.

2021-06-213 stars for the outdoor bar, 5 stars for the BBQ Standalone Grill that was outside on the lawn on the night of the Canelo Alvarez vs Billie Joe Saunders fight. Pricey, but wow! This is some of the best bbq I’ve had, and it comes from a mobile stand outside of the stadium! While pricey at $26, 2 people can easily split a meal (full disclosure, my boyfriend and I ate separate meals. He finished his and was stuffed, I did not ☺). The chicken and the brisket were the highlights from a meat perspective (you can select up to 2 different meats per meal!), and the winning sides were the coleslaw and the corn (although my vote went to the beans because I’m a sucker for baked beans! ☺). I hope they are a permanent restaurant in the area, because I will be coming back before every event!
