This company was the worst we ever dealt with. $3 for an admin fee to electronically read our meter, which reading failed more often than not. Charging us for water that could not have possibly been used because no one was home and we had proof we were not home at those times. We got statement credits for those times, but its highly suspicious how they somehow metered us using water when no one was home....🤔Three whole months they estimated usage for EVERY apartment because the meter in the management office lost internet and no one at Minol bothered to report the outage. While this was corrected, a Minol representative or manager could have reported the outage. But nope! They decided estimating (overcharging) was best.This company charges the most absurd rates as well. Most of the apartments had 2 people and their average bills were over $250 per month. I cannot see how two people could use that much water. Average would have been over 8,000 gallons for $250. I kid you not with the 8,000 gallons. Whenever I would call and dispute a day and the representative would see the bill was (ex $130), Id get thats not that bad. Average is much higher, all I would have to say is, Youre paying this bill?....silence....Then yes, it is THAT bad. I never failed to shut them up with that question.I wish apartment complexes would avoid Minol altogether, but thats not my business. We no longer deal with Minol but I feel SO SORRY for those who still do. Not to mention their $3 pay by credit card fee online but you get a promotional discount if you pay by echeck.Its odd how their slogan is all that counts when on average they estimate the bills!
This company is unresponsive to specific problems that I have reported to the management of my apartment complex. There have been numerous water outages that was not due to the recent cold weather events, this includes not having hot water. When they eventually send someone to fix the problem it is someone who do not have the qualifications of a professional plumber. Yet when Minol USA bill us it is for the full use of their services and their customer service representatives will become argumentative with the customers. This company need more of their customers to report them to the Public Utilities Commission and demand accountability for the shoddy professionalism and service they provide to their customers.
I would say ZERO star. They charge $3 for using credit card to process utility payment. Even worse, they failed to notify me of the payment date-- I was out of country and my payment wad delayed for a week or so. For $300 bill, they added roughly additional $80 for late penalty AND additional $50 for financial charges-- my bill went up for $430 or so!!!! Utility bill companies in my previous place gave me 10 days of grace period, so as my mortgage company. I think this must be some sort of a ripoff!
My daughter and I live in Ridgmar Townhomes in Fort Worth - they use this company to bill for water - they are outrageous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I pay over 65 a month for the two of us - that was my average water bill when I owned a home....they have to be padding the bill to make an extra profit!! OUTRAGEOUS!!Your response is classic and automated! my most recent bill through your company is $88!!! and we havent lived there for over three weeks - explain that. Also, we now live in a house and are billed through the City of Fort Worth...their billing rate is HALF what you charge AND they dont list per person on the statement - crooks always justify
Since my housing company made the switch my bills with minol have gotten increasingly larger, even though I have not even been in the house. Ive ensured that the AC and heat were both turned off, electronics were unplugged and nothing should be increasing my bill. Ive moved out of the house and while I wait for the official paperwork to be finished the bill kept going higher and higher. Its seems largly like a scam to me more than anything, especially considering the check for the one month(according to them) that I deserved a rebate has yet to show up, 2 months later(even after calling and having it supposedly resent).Another awful part, is the surprise bill when I finalized the move out paperwork today, after talking to them about the issues and me not being in the house I was told it was resolved. Then when the move out paperwork is finalized I have a bill nearing $200, added up from a previous statement, which Ive never received.
This is by far the worst company I have ever wasted brain cells on. If you are looking to move to apartment - even the most perfect apartment that has everything you want and is cheap - and they use Minol - dont do it. I am currently paying triple the amount Ive paid in the past for 1/3 of the occupants. Absolutely outrageous. And when you call? They tell you theres nothing I can do and to call maintenance to check for leaks. Play their game and call maintenance to check for leaks and then call them back. Youll be back at square one. It is physically impossible for my bill to be this much. I asked for a day by day usage to show me how much I used on what days (not letting them know I was out of the state for 7 days!) and you guessed it - apparently Casper has been using my water while I was on vacation. I wish I could give this company negative stars. I am so pissed off at their lack of customer service that Im considering moving JUST so I dont have to deal with them ever again. Absolutely insane. If you have any choice - avoid this company like the plague!
I have used this company for 2 and 1/2 months, and I can already say that they have some of the poorest customer service I have ever been unfortunate enough to experience. My very first bill from them, for 10 days of service, was over $140.00. There are only two people in my apartment, both adults. Needless to say, I was concerned and contacted the property manager of the complex. She informed me that my apartment was one of three that had frozen pipes last winter, resulting in the meters needing replacement. She said the other residents with replaced meters were also having issues, and that she was working with her contact at Minol to resolve it, and not to pay the bill as it was obviously a mistake. A few weeks go by, and this company is giving the property manager the runaround about sending a technician to check the meter, saying that the property needs to send maintenance to check for leaks despite the fact that the three people having issues are all the ones with recently replaced meters. In the meantime, I get my next bill and this one is $562.51! $414.86 for 30 days of service, plus the unaltered bill from the previous month, plus a $5.00 late fee! Even though myself and my property manager and two other residents have been trying to resolve this issue for a month now. At this point, I called Minol directly to complain, and ask that they work faster at fixing this. The man I spoke to was very polite, and agreed that the readings were very high (36,010 for 30 days! Thats 1,200 a day, despite the fact that the average family of 4 only uses 400! Did I mention there are only two of us?? How do they expect that amount of water to be leaking and still have this building livable??). However, he said that there was not much he could do for me since my property manager was working directly with a representative. from their company. He did agree to put some sort of note in the file that was supposed to expedite the process, and that someone would call in in 2 to 3 business days. No one ever did. Fast forward to this week, and Minol has FINALLY sent a technician to check the meters, and what do you know, they were the wrong meters. The property manager informed me that her contact with the company hadnt gotten back to her about the results yet and what the company would do to fix it, but she was assured that myself and the other residents would be getting a credit for our ridiculous bills. That was Tuesday. Today on Friday, I get my new bill for Minol and its $954.23! No credit, late fees in place, and claiming that two people have used 33,400 gallons of water in 30 days. I could end the drought in California with these numbers! I called once again to complain about the slow service and ask when my credit would be applied, and the woman I spoke to stated there was no credit, there would be no credit, and wanted to know how I got that idea. I tried to explain the situation, and she continued to say that they expect me to pay this nearly thousand dollar bill for just over two months of service. She also stated that they expect me to pay the late fee, despite the fact that I have been trying to resolve this issue since my very first bill. I told her I needed to speak to a supervisor immediately, as I am very tired of having this bill looming over my head and two months should be more than enough time to resolve this. She informed me that someone will call me in 2 to 3 business days. It was like talking to a wall. Absolutely terrible customer service on top of the fact that they are basically making up outrageous numbers and expecting me to roll over and pay them.
I went on a 4 month vacation, there was no one in the house, nut I kept getting billed for water usage. I called minol, and they said that my usage was too low so they assumed there was a problem with the meter, and they applied the average usage rate to my account. After letting them know I was out, the rep was nice, but I never got my refund. Overall 1/5. I never take the time to write reviews but, this one I felt I needed to write. The WORST customer service I have EVER received!! Wow! I am still speechless after getting off the phone with them. I mailed my payment because I didnt want to keep paying their $3 monthly fee to pay on-line. The lady was very augmentative and told me I owe for next month also which I have not received my bill yet. Then she said well it just went out so you wont get it yet. So, because she said they received my check late I now have a $10 late fee I can pay on-line and they charge $3 to pay on-line. What a rip off and she was very very RUDE!!
Our complex uses their service. I travel for work, and can be gone for 2 weeks or more of the month, and my bill is outrageous. The customer service is not great, and they charge $3 service fee for you to pay online which allows them to profit off what is a huge convenience and cost savings to them.
Zero stars. I do NOT like Minol. They have shifting payment dates so you have to scramble to make it without get a late fees. Now their ploy is not sending a bill at all. And Lisa, whom theyre referring to, is NO help. Why any apartment building would use them other then them being the lowest bidder is beyond me. The owners must hate their residents and want them to be continually ripped off.Stephanie
Its 2017, online payments are the future if not already the present. In fact ALL of my bills are set to autopay as Im a full time college student, wife, and pregnant with 3 dogs. Needless to say I cant be bothered with mundane tasks, let alone to remember them. Sooooo why am I being charged $3 convenience fee for paying online when literally every other company allows you to do it stress free. I just think thats incredibly barbaric. Only way to avoid said fee is to bring it person(I live 4+ hours away)or mail it(if its late you get charged a late fee regardless of when you send it). Really? Your website is already frivolous enough, but to haggle $3 out of me every month is just plain petty.
Had a tendency to mail bills 8-10+ days after the statement closing date resulting in receipt of the bill without enough time to make an on-time payment. They would then charge a late fee.Very argumentative customer service. Preferred to blame everyone else (USPS, me, building owners) rather than fix their slow processing of statements, even after I submitted 4 iterations of proof that they were late mailing statements. (statements closing on the 12th; mailed on the 24-28th; sometimes arriving after the 1st; due on the 1st)

There is fraud going on with this water company and I have hired a private investigator to find out why I am being ripped off on my water bill.... CHECK THE REVIEWS ON THIS COMPANY.... Make sure to have your local Hearing Examiner in your local municipality audit these guys. In most states it only costs $5. If they want to come into your state and make a profit they have to follow the laws of that state. They think they can do what ever they want from Texas. They violate the State Administrative Codes on a consistent basis. Especially concerning fees, but its illegal and its enough to get them in trouble alone.
How do you expect me to make a payment in person when your location is in a different state? It is not your customer fault that you havent built a location in LA for us to go make a payment to the office so you punish us by charging us to make a payment online I can understand over the phone with a rep but online???? Really!

2022-06-21Minol USA has double charged us for their monthly fees. We paid 2 weeks in advance, and they processed payment. They failed to post the payment, and continue to charge us. They now indicate they will be taking action for non-payment. COMPLETELY unacceptable. This is their error, their lack of business acumen, and their lack of professionalism.We have called, emailed (daily), provided excellent documentation in the form of cancelled checks. They refuse to respond or acknowledge receipt.We will also be posting a similar review via the Better Business Bureau, to ensure additional awareness. This is in hope that others are aware of their terrible and unprofessional service, and elect to go elsewhere.Edited in response to owner: We have tried. Furthermore, we provided multiple attachments as proof of payment. Don’t your own records show your own error??? WHY do we have to call you for any reason? If your accounting system is so inefficient that you can’t resolve by simply looking, what will a phone call do?

2022-05-31Minol does not care about their customers at all and are only out to get more money for themselves. They’ve never had a problem with me paying my bills and I’ve been a customer since 2019. On 5/22/22, there was a Late Fee charged to my account. This was surprising for me because I had mailed a check on 5/15/22 for the bill that was not paid in time. Customer service claims “we go by when we received the payment” and that they understand mail is slower than normal right now. I let them know that the deadline needs to be extended for payments and I rather not pay a $3.00 Convenience Fee to pay online. Again, would not expect anything less from Minol.

Prepare to start paying more than $150/month and paying a credit card fee for online payments.My apartment complex just made the switch last month to Minol. So why am I getting charged the previous months before?I signed the lease in April and I’m now getting bills from April till now.Fun fact: I didn’t even move in April, I moved in May! The lease just started in April!

2022-09-05I’ve been waiting to move out so I could write how awful Lisa Turner and her team is without her threatening to contact my property manager. I truly have never in my life spoken to someone as unprofessional and horrendous as her. She spoke over me the entire time, threatened me, and offered little to no help. She also questioned me as to if I was someone who already left a bad google review of her. We haven’t even spoke yet but that speaks a lot about you and the company! I would turn down the best rental opportunity in the world if it meant dealing with Minol/Lisa Turner. They aren’t worth the frustration or time of just trying to get your water bill paid. Lisa if you’re reading this please be more kind to your customers! I don’t have a clue as to who you think you are speaking to anyone that way let alone your customers. Do better.

2022-06-28Everything about this company is 100% unprofessional, mismanaged, unresponsive, and their customer service is abhorrent. We were charged twice in the same month:- they took our first payment, didnt post it- they said they would report us to the credit agencies for not paying- we provided extensive documentation and screen shoots- they wont respond- we reported them to the BBB- their response via BBB was untrue and they said that they billed us correctly (not true) and we should provide proof, which we did - extensively- theyve provided about 3 different emails for us to correspond with, and weve sent emails and documentation almost daily - NO ONE RESPONDSNOTE - they have time and interest in responding to every external message (BBB, Google reviews) but they obviously dont pay anyone to actually respond to their customer emails. WHY?????

2022-06-20We paid $62.45 to Minol on May 24th. 14 days prior to the invoice date. On June 7th they invoiced us for the same $62.45. They cashed my check but failed to post my payment. After a phone call and multiple emails (with check copies for proof), no response. They are either incompetent or shady.

2022-09-15I have a one bedroom apartment and get charged like $70-$90 a month. Their website is so bad it appears a 10 year old made it.. Wouldnt recommend. Unfortunately I dont have a choice.

2022-04-07Website is frustratingly poor. Whenever I log in, I am presented with a autopay setup not completed that I have to click through and the next screen before I can see my bill. I had contacted their support about this and they had promised to get this fixed but no luck.

2021-12-30My water bill was just increased by $20 arbitrarily for sewage and I was told by a minol representative that it may go up each month. This is a small one bedroom apartment and to pay $55 $65 a month is outrageous. When question ed they put it on the property who cannot give an intelligent legitimate reason for the increases!! This is just plain wrong and too way too much for water for a small apartment.

2022-03-04Yes, the fees seem unnessary and the price hikes dont seem appropriate. Excellent customer service! An incorrect statement was sent out, and a few days later an updated bill was delivered with an explanation letter.
