I have worked with Minutemen and Ben Franklin for a number of years, and I have been well pleased with their service. Frank had not been to my house before, and he lived up to the standard set by those who have come on other occasions. He was prompt , professional, and courteous. He located a problem which I was unaware of and fixed it, thus saving me from a breakdown in the heat of the summer.
Lance did a wonderful job installing our system. He made sure we understood everything, repaired the secondary system, and stayed until we had AC. Highly recommend!
The service tech was excellent, gave good information. The sales person who followed never sent me a quote for 1) air handler replacement , 2) cost for a Trane total replacement. I have since gone with another company.
I am very happy with the technician. Frank quickly diagnosed the issue, explained the cause and checked that the system was working properly before leaving. He answered all my questions and was very courteous.
Called Minuteman on Tuesday because AC was blowing hot. Technician said it was hot due to a dirty filter and it caused the unit to freeze up. He removed filter and defrosted the unit and left. Also, when he removed the filter, he didn’t replace it. Tuesday night it froze again. I called Minuteman back around 4 pm to inform them it still wasn’t fixed. They said they would try and get back to me as soon as they could. I asked the receptionist why the Freon level wasn’t checked and she told me she wasn’t sure. I waited until the next day and since I haven’t heard from them, I called them back. The receptionist said the manager was going to give me a call with a plant to fix. Only thing I received at this point was a quote to patch and that the patch could fail as soon as they left. So I waited until Thursday afternoon after not hearing from them and then called Johns AC in Mansfield. Within 4 hours Johns AC changed my coils out and my unit was repaired. This is how things should have went with Minuteman. I know who I will be using from now on!!
James was awesome! He taught us so many things about maintaining our system that we didnt know about. He went above and beyond in helping us and educating us!
Chad is professional & company dispatcher did an excellent job keeping me updated. Highly recommend, I never give 5 stars. But company deserves it. Honest, experience and professional.
Donovan did freakin great. I’m an hvac student and I had a feeling I knew what was wrong with my system. The fan wasn’t spinning so I ordered a new fan motor for $200 bucks online and I had him confirm that it was the right motor I bought. What a great guy. We could be good friends lol. Thanks Bud
After 3 different AC companies came out to service my units and all stated I had a non repairable leak on my evaporator coil’s and wanted thousands of dollars for the repairs!!! It took one minute for Minute Man Heat and Air to tell me all three companies was wrong and it would only take a minute to fix the problem and it sure doesn’t cost thousands for the repairs thanks to Will and Tunde the techs over at Minute Man for delivering outstanding service and getting the air restored to my home I know my disabled Wife will be pleased when she gets home from doctors office!!!

AC quit working in 100 degree weather. Company provided free window AC units until they could do installation. Very professional. Explained each step before doing it and tested everything when complete .
James was very willing to share his vast knowledge and experience about HVAC maintenance and prevention of problems. Did not rush through the inspection as so many others had done.
The HVAC system was not cooling properly. The service technician did a through inspection and quickly diagnosed the problem. It was not the thermostat as I suspected, but instead proved to be a freon leak in a 17 year old system for which parts production ceased in 2012.Planning on installation of new HVAC system next week.
We had Minuteman Heating install a new system last week. The installers were professional and courteous during the whole process. They explained the whole system to me and left the systems closet cleaner than it was before. Great job guys!

Just moved I within the month and had the heat go out on me in the middle of the night. Called at 1 am and they were able to get someone out to me by 8am that morning. James did a brilliant job of getting me back up and running, and clarifying what position I was truly looking at with my system in this new purchase. I had contacted Minuteman to come out and tell me if my current unit was compatible for a Nest thermostat as I was told by Google, two wires would need to be re-wired. Minuteman contacted me via text to let me know Donavan was on his way along with his picture a bio. Donavan arrived during his window of 8am to 10a, around 8:30am and introduced himself. I let him know what I was wanting to do and after looking at my unit he did tell me that my unit would be compatible with the Nest Learning thermostat. He let me know what the price would be for them to install. He was very professional and answered all of my questions. After he left, I had a follow up question and he returned my call very promptly.

In 2021, we had a complete HVAC replacement done, with air scrubber. Overall good experience and good pricing. Recently we had maintenance done on that HVAC, plus new attic insulation, and a duct cleaning. Great crew, friendly and professional. They did a great job and we enjoyed having the crew in our home. Donavan. Installed a Drain pan cut-off switch. He was very professional, courteous and finished the job expediently.
This company is dishonest and lied to my parents who are elderly! Shameful to take advantage of the elderly. They came out and looked around for a short time and said that my parents needed a whole new unit after already fixing it last year! Thankfully my brother was there to say they needed a 2nd opinion. He called an another company and when he inspected the unit he stated that whoever had set it up (minuteman) had wired it so that when stressed it would fail. He spent two hours and it runs better than ever. We will NOT be using Minuteman ever again, and we will make sure none of our friends use them either.
We have used Minuteman Heating & Air to install two a/c units in our home. One was a Lennox Heat Pump for the main part of our home, and the other is a DAIKIN mini-split for a room addition. I am the facilities coordinator for the SW Region offices for an international company. I oversee the entire operations, and deal first hand with every contractor for the inside and outside needs of our facilities. Our standards are very high, and Minuteman in all phases has exceeded our expectations, and continue to do so with the maintenance plans we purchased from Minuteman. We could not give a higher recommendation to Minuteman Heating & Air!

Lance and José were excellent with our install, today they were on time worked continuously throughout the day in the Texas heat and finished everything and cleaned up behind themselves before the time that was expected we have some family members with major medical issues that cannot tolerate the heat and Minuteman sent someone out the same day we called and when our ac stopped working completely 2 days later you again came out again right away. We are very pleased with the service we have received and will recommend Minuteman to anyone who has an hvac issue! We noticed an error popping up on the thermostat & it seems the fan wasnt working while AC is running. Called Minuteman & they were able to squeeze in an appointment the same day. Our technician James Stewart was professional & did more work than the normal service visit. Turns out we have abused our units because we havent taken care of it properly, so we were causing major damage to our HVAC system. James has been awesome & did all the necessary work to address all major issues & gave a maintenance to do list moving forward as part of our responsibility.

Gave 5 Stars based on the service I’ve received since purchasing my A/C. Minuteman Heating and Air has been responsive in addressing all my issues promptly and has upheld warranty agreements. They employ knowledgeable and professional technicians.Cannot say the same the Goodman brand, they have failed me at the worse possible times. Not cheap either.

James was wonderful. Professional and attentive. He took it upon himself when he realized it wasn’t heating to potential to diagnose and locate the issue. Because he is so experienced, he located some wires were pulled and he managed to get them re-pinned. I had a brand new unit from 2019 and the installers made an error (not minuteman). He saved me over $600 by using his professional experience and knowledge to repair it so I didn’t need a new heating kit. Highly recommend the whole team and company!
I used Minutemen because I am a single mom without much knowledge of HVAC systems. I knew I would pay a premium because of the name-- but I expected decent service an not to be cheated--they fell far short of those expectations. The Minutemen charged me over $1000 and didnt get my air-conditioner working for even a minute. I had a horrendous experience where my air was shutting off and on before they came out-- they sold me a new capacitor and outside maintenance-- the house never cooled off after they did their work. Jeremy Nyagoko did the initial work. When I called to complain they sent Chris Ramon-- who said Jeremy should have never sold us those repairs because our system was too old and it would need to be replaced-- he said he would ask his boss about getting us a refund-- but I never heard back. I called a different company an experienced AC man saw that there was a problem with water buildup. He used a straw extracted some water and my air conditioner has been working perfectly ever since. Minuteman misdiagnosed the problem, sold me a solution to that problem-- and refused to help or correct the wrong when it turned out they had made a mistake. Their own tech Chris Ramon admitted they had done amoral work-- but I never heard a word about getting a dime back. Stay away from Minuteman--you pay a premium and the service is horrendous.
I am so grateful to Minuteman Hearing and Air. They really lived up to their name because they were able to come with only a days notice! Donovan was very knowledgeable and very happy to explain everything to us with no problem. I would definitely call him for all of my heating and AC needs!

This is a review for multiple visits that I have had recently. I highly recommend Minuteman Heating and Air. Donovan, Monty, and Lance have been to my home multiple times recently for issues that I have been having. They are courteous and professional. They showed great care with my home and explained everything along the way. Donovan has done routine maintenance and tuneups for me. He addressed some issues. He was sure to show me what the issue was, what needed to be done, and what the alternative was. I was not pressured into anything and I appreciate being shown the problem area. Monty helped walk me through choosing a new HVAC system. Once again no pressure and shown all of my choices. Lance and his crew came to remove the old system, install the new system, and thoroughly clean out the air ducts. All of the guys that came to my home were courteous and professional and their office staff is very friendly and quickly addresses any questions. I will continue to use MMHA for all of my HVAC needs and I highly recommend them to others.
Lance gave us understandable directions and information about our new AC unit. Tgey came at 9am and left around 7:30 pm with only a short break in the Texas Attic heat which was probably unbearable!Brian and Jake were friendly and very polite and helped to complete the JOB well done!😊Now our whole house is comfortable to live in Texas 100+ degrees no matter what the electric company asks!!

The guy who came out did his job. I dont like the company because they charge you $89 just to come out and tell you whats wrong. They said that theyll add the $89 to whatever services I get done. Well for 2 wires that burned out they wanted to charge me $1000 to fix. I got a way better price with a different company and much happier with the outcome and pricing
James, did a great job locating the noise issue after they installed new ducts and cleaned my vents the week prior. He always goes far and beyond to help my frustrations when I have to call for maintenance or repairs. He always listens well to understand the problem to start the process of elimination to resolve it. All the while, he has a smile on his face. James, is a superb asset for Minuteman or any company to have!
Called Minuteman out as our air conditioning was claiming some kind of an error. James was able to quickly diagnose and fix it and get everything working like it should again. Very happy with the service here.

Rick came out to repair our ac unit. He was very professional and had great communication. He even took the time to get acquainted with our dog so she would be more comfortable while he was in the house.
We have used this company when needed over several years. Most recently we requested service and Nick Fontenot arrived at our door. Not only did he remember us from previous work, he immediately assisted us with answering all the questions we had, making sure that we understood everything he explained. My parents are older and Nick was a complete gentleman. He was extremely courteous and patience and we will ask for Nick to come back every time! You dont find service like this anymore. We rarely do reviews but when we do, we mean it!!! Fantastic job.
I called this morning because of an issue with my air conditioner thinking I needed a repair man. I was given a two hour window and the repair person was here quickly. Even though the issue requires a plumber Tunde quickly contacted their sister company and a plumber will be here as soon as they can! I appreciate the help and diagnosis that took a mere two seconds! I will continue to use this company for further air conditioning needs. The technician was polite and explained everything that needed to be done to fix things. The phone staff are friendly and quick to get the needed help to you!

We started service with a leaking water heater in March 2014. And we have been very happy with Minute Man these years with our updated unit too. We needed the homeowner quality above the standard policy with our mortgage that Minute Man has performed in more professional customer care. We thank Donovan for his report about our heating system today and next appointment what needs to be done. Since we have the Ben Franklin Society we are set with scheduled care of all heating and air condition systems as well as our water heater and house plumbing. No other warranty service does as much for us. They installed our whole house water filter unit and the toilets and the main line to the street. Thank you for the expertise of Donovan and all technicians of Minute Man Heating and Air on our Ben Franklin Society. We appreciate being taken care of when it is time for service and maintenance. Monty Hahn did a great job explaining to me what I needed. At first he saw my unit might just need a maintenance and not a full unit replacement. Im glad the first priority wasnt to sell me a brand new unit but looking at what I needed. Turns out my ancient ac needs to go and the guy that sold me the house only replace one of the two unit. Monty explain to me my options and I was happy with the information and my decision.If you are going to be sad about a bill be sad once and not over and over again.
Minutemans Donovan Williams was our service person today and was excellent. Worked quickly, professionally, and explained our needs fully. We have used Minuteman for about two years and have always been satisfied with their work. Highly recommended!

Tunde came and cleaned the ducts in our duplex. He was very professional and took care of the business with his coworker. They did the job and covered the furniture and cleaned up the are where they had worked . He explained what they were doing and was very professional. Always an excellent job with the Minutemen.
After our ac/ heating unit stopped working we had a few companies look at it including minute man. they recommended a new unit is best since ours was old. Long story short: We continue to have issues after issues... 2 years later and the unit replace twice. the unit still isnt working properly. We made an appointment for the tech come out, got messages that he was on the way but never showed.
Minuteman Heating and Air came out to perform a yearly check on the HVAC System. Kyle, the technician was very professional and knowledgeable. Explained all the service needed and associated costs. I will use them for future needs.

I had lots of questions about A/C and heating. Craig and Monty took their time and explained everything in detail. They educated me on what different systems there are and helped me choose one that would be right for me. There was no pressure and both men were very honest.
The service people who came out were wonderful. Very polite very professional did a great job. I would give them five stars!The timeliness of the appointment was very poor.I will keep in mind from now on that any appointments you make must have a confirmation call on the day of.However when my appointment is early morning first of the day,and because of your staff meeting that should have been taken into account before setting up an appointment, they are two hours late thats really not acceptable.This is not the fault of the technicians but rather poor timing on the part of the people setting up the appointments.We work and commute to work and being on time is essential. Having an appointment that runs late is pointless and a waste of time.Thanks
While trimming weeds from around the unit I accidentally cut a wire connected to the AC unit which made for a horrible night. I called minuteman they set me up with an appointment. They were here in a few hours and fixed the problem in a matter of minutes. Didnt charge me astronomical amout of money either. I highly recommend them. Friendly and profressional to boot.

I have mixed feeling about Minuteman. We bought a new top of the line system and have paid for the service package and done all the required maintenance, yet our AC had gone down twice and been down for over a week at a time.However the service department has bent over backwards to help us when it has gone down.So on one hand they have great service but on the other I dont like the fact that a brand new AC keeps breaking down...

Top notch company that has really qualified personnel to come to my home!Ryan was really good. He checked the combo unit and showed me why we could have a problem in the future. By phoning into his office and showing pictures of the house, we were able to determine where a new return vent was needed. This future job would be completed when Minuteman comes back for the spring inspection / maintenance to save me time and money to get my system to a stellar state.Ryan is a keeper! James was thorough in his assessment of our heating air conditioning system needs. James determined our unit was outdated and it was James professional opinion that the unit would need to be replaced. Craig arrived to present options for a new unit. I was not able to secure a loan which is the reason we did not use the service.

Very happy with the installer and his professionalism however I felt they have very unethical prices. I had my capacitor go out today and stated that they don’t carry a Dual version and charged me 199$ for the 35v and 199$ for the 5v. My replacement part on amazon sells for 25$. Would not recommend to anyone for this reason alone.

Very happy with minuteman. probably not the cheapest group in DFW, but when they say they are going to show up, they show up, and they are always professional. i plan to continue to use them for all my HVAC needs.
My AC was blowing weakly so I called these guys check it out. The AC Technician was great he diagnosed the problem, told me my system was frozen and clogged and I was more than likely going to need a system. So he sent Craig W. out to get options about what I can do. Craig literally bends down and looked at my ac for about 2 seconds and says. Yup your going to need a new ac. So he breaks out his tablet and says yours is a 3 ton unit, I can sell you one for $8800. I said Well my home warranty lapsed in coverage so I had a 30 day waiting period before I can put in a new claim. I have about 12 days to go. Craig immeadiately responsed with an attitude Do you have prior maintenance records? I said No. Then he proceeds with more attitude Well the warranty people arent cut you a check for a $8800 AC unit without prior maintenance records. I bought a house 10 years ago and the same thing happened to me. I knew by his tone and attitude at this point he was just trying to get money out me, so I said let me get my finances together and Ill let you know, do you have a card. He said we have financing available. I said Ill just take a card and call yall when I figure it out.After he left with an attitude, I went to look up my home warranty contract from America Home Shield, and right there in the contract it says No prior maintenance records required.The first tech was great and Minuteman wouldve gotten my business once my warranty kicked in, but Craig and his attitude ruined that.My suggestion is that, unless Craig knows everything about every home warranty program out there, he should not try to tell people what they cant get. It just seems a ploy to get money out of peoples pockets.Also $89 a service fee is a little high and pointless, because when they get there they charge you an extra fee of $201 to diagnose the problem. Why not just tell people up front its a $300 service fee.

Had a problem with my AC system and contacted Minuteman Heating and Air. They had a technician out right away. Roy knew exactly what the issue was, verified the part was not functioning within specification and replaced the capacitor. System started cooling right away. Roy checked to be certain that was my only issue, closed everything up and finished up. Roy is honest and extremely easy to deal with and took the time to explain the problem and fix required. Great job Roy and Minuteman!

My compressor failed on a 97 degree August day, and needless to say, my house got a little warm. Minuteman Heating and Air showed up quickly, diagnosed the issue, and were back the next day to make the repair. They were fast, they were neat, and they did an outstanding job! The work was done but only after staying in a hotel for 3 days and then paying $89 for the service call (which was supposed to be waived) and then $165 for labor since our part was covered under warranty. I called to see why they didnt waive the service call and they said I had to mention I saw it before they even came out?! Not sure how Im supposed to know work is done before the service call is even preformed... Only giving this review 1 star because the technician was nice. Wont be using this company again.

2022-05-28Donovan came out initially and was absolutely astounding! My husband and I actually went from repairing our unit with another company, to purchasing one with yours because of his presentation. Great communication skills, patently, calm demeanor, listened to us, gave us options and not pushy at all.That young man went over and above, especially when a mishap occurred! We appreciate the adjustment Craig made for us that really really helped. Frank was a jewel and put the portable units in. On Friday Jose and Eric worked together… installed the heating pump and air handler. Both were efficient, very courteous, didn’t even take breaks when I tried to provide water. Unbelievable!!! They were knowledgeable and explained and answered our questions! Great teamwork gentlemen!

2022-03-23Monty Hahn and Donovan Williams were absolutely fantastic during their visit to our house. Donovan inspected our AC unit and gave us a diagnostic of the issues, and was very detailed and super educational about what was wrong and what needed to be done to fix the issue. Monty came over with the options we had to take care of our problem and was very clear on our options without being pushy or wanting us to buy from them. It was a great experience. Recommended!

2022-08-08James was awesome! He explained everything he was doing very well. Our AC stopped cooling overnight. Thankfully it was a minor repair (a capacitor) and he fixed it quickly. He made it out within 8 hours from when I called. We will request for James services and repairs going forward.

2022-07-03The service technician James was amazing and did an excellent job. Extremely personable and would 100% recommend him. On the other hand, charging 800+ dollars to replace two parts that at best cost $40 USD total is a bit extreme.The telephone operator as well was extremely gracious and did her job very well. Would also recommend.I am not one to not be willing to pay for expertise, licensure, etc. so I would be completely fine with paying for that and the parts. Something along the lines of $400-500 would be much more reasonable for a capacitor and jump start replacement on a single unit. Charging $400 per part and then ALSO charging an $89 service fee is a bit usury IMO.

2022-06-16My 26 year old HVAC system needed a full replacement. Minuteman came out promptly and their technician explained my options in detail. I set up an appointment, and the installers showed up early. Every person I dealt with was super professional and patient, and now my AC is back up and running! Will definitely hire them again next time I need AC service!

2022-04-26I had Minuteman Heating and Air install two new Heating and Air Conditioning systems in my house. Lance, Will and their crews did an OUTSTANDING job!Their experience and knowledge showed throughout the installation. I was very impressed by the quality of their workmanship. You can see by the results that they take great pride in their work. In the attic, they rearranged the plywood flooring and rerouted some PVC pipes so they could install the air handlers to provide easy access to the units. A flue pipe had to be extended for one of the units, requiring Lance to go onto the roof to secure and weatherproof the fittings. Outside, they updated the electrical connections, bringing it up to code. Back in the attic, they replaced the plenums, repaired some ducting and adjusted the air flow for each section. What a difference that makes! The airflow through the house is incredible. The units run a far less amount of time and evenly distribute the conditioned air. When they were done, they did an excellent job cleaning up in the attic, inside and outside of the house. Lance took me through the how tos of the systems going over each unit and answering all of my questions. Everything they did was covered in the agreed to price. There were no additional charges for what I thought would be considered extra cost. I do not write very many reviews, but I could not be happier with my decision to use Minuteman Heating and Air. They worked around my schedule arriving earlier than normal to accommodate me. I recommend them to you.
