The spaces are easy to pull into for vacuuming your vehicle. The vacuums easily reach all corners inside and outside most vehicles.Going thru the wash process is easy too. Theres no heavy-handed push to upgrade the wash you choose.Going thru the wash is pretty quick. The only thing I dont like is that my vehicle doesnt leave truly dry when things are done. But for the price, its a reasonable trade-off.
They charged me for the $20 wash (the best wash) it was horrible. The truck was still dirty. To their credit they let me run through the truck again. Still bug stains on the window and still dirt on the truck. I knew if the bug stains were still there it didnt do a good job. But I decided to get one of the rags to see how easy the dirt came off. Maybe it was scuffs? Nope came right off without using barely any pressure. You can get a wash at the gas station better for half the price when you fill up. Oh everything is do it yourself except the wash is automatic and a bad automatic wash at that. I wont be back
I love there service. The car wash makes the car super clean from top to bottom. The monthly rate is great. The vacuum is great...except the research blvd location is not self serve...a staff member will have to vacuum the vehicle...I dont like that. The staff are extremely friendly. The restrooms are always clean. I love this place
I have never written a yelp review before, but I figured this would be as good as time as any to do so. I went to their car wash for the first time near here in Austin. As I was guided into the car the guide put his hands up to stop me then ran away to get his manager. It turns he had led me into the edge and broken my hub cap. As I left the car wash I was told they would get back to me in a day to follow up on the resolution. After a day of not hearing I called them to hear they hadnt had a resolution yet. After a couple more days of calling they finally responded and said IT WAS MY FAULT and wouldnt show the video and when I started to question them they hung up the phone on me. Awful communication and integrity as a company. I would never recommend anyone going to this car wash. Reading through the other comments it appears other people have had similar experiences with the people they hire and their company leadership.
Quick car wash and helpful staff.I couldnt figure out how to put my new car in neutral (weird gear shift). The employees were justifiably annoyed but also professional, helpful, and funny while trying to walk me through switching gears...again, weird gear shift and I had to turn to youtube. I was let back in line but only after confirming that I did indeed know how shift into neutral 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️At the time my anxiety was through the roof bc the entire situation was embarrassing and time wasting but now hilarious (to me and hopefully them)To the staff and folks behind me during my idiocy, Im sorry and thank you!!
I pulled up and asked the person at the kiosk and asked if this drive thru car wash was touchless. He assured me that it was. I went through the was as it puts you on a tread while youre in neutral. It is very NOT touchless! When I got back to my office I noticed that a large plastic piece of my cars trimming had been bent backwards! My car is 3 months old! Very disappointmented!
Have a lot of love for Mister Car Wash and still a member, but a heads up for anyone from out of town using different locations- this location has it set up for you to vacuum prior to washing your vehicle. And unless you wish to go thru the wash a second time you just might miss out on vacuuming. The second pull in vacuum wasnt strong enough and I had to wait for a while for the person next to me to relinquish the vacuum hose for my spot. Employees were super friendly and helpful and I love the towel wheel at the end of the wash at this location, wish all had one!
My sunroof visor broke when I had the full service wash completed. I spoke with the manager Jeremy who immediately told me they had a sign saying they wouldn’t take care of something like that. I did not see this sign when I visited since I was in the furthest bay away from the sign. Jeremy was rude and got visibly upset when I took the picture of the damage and poor wash job.
This place is always busy. The unlimited wash subscription is very convenient. You dont even have to talk to anyone. The kids enjoy the lights going through the wash. They currently have limited services due to covid. They used to have full service car washes. Now its only external.
Literally the most welcoming group of individuals in the Austin area. Whether its cold and rainy or sunny and hot, they never fail to greet every customer that enters the driveway with a big wave and although they are masked, you can always see a smile through their body language. As someone who comes through at least 5 times a day (I work for a car rental company, so I am constantly taking cars through the wash) I can honestly say Ive never once seen any of the employees in a bad mood or neglect to wave me through with positivity and exceptional customer service. Keep up the great work, yall !
A good car wash for the price. I’ve never had an issue. The people are friendly and they’re very transparent about what each car wash option gets you. I wish this location could shampoo carpets and clean seats, but other than that it’s great. Plus it’s a convenient location.
We bought the deal where you get unlimited car washes for a monthly payment. Love it! You just drive up, machine scans sticker/code on your car, and stay in your car while it goes through car wash. Easy peasy and you can wash your car daily if you want to! We are having to cancel ours because we moved south and theres not a Mister Car Wash nearby. Bummer!
I’ve been a Mister Carwash customer for over a year. I have the unlimited wash monthly package and it’s a good deal for the money you pay. However, this location is one of the worst locations you can use your membership at. It’s always super crowded snd understaffed. Not even a single time i was there were i left satisfied with the cleanliness of my vehicle. It’s never dried properly and leaves spots on mirrors and windshield. Today i almost got hit by another vehicle because they couldn’t get the flow of cars moving. They really need to step up your game is you want to retain your customers. PS: there are no managers on duty to speak to and no one answers the phone.
The clean on the outside was great, but I wish the process was better laid out for first time customers and that the customer service was more robust.The lines are organized in a confusing way for someone coming for the first time. I screened the website for the wash I wanted (platinum), but I didn’t realize there were two platinum washes. One is full service one is just exterior. I wanted the full service platinum, but I ended up in the line that said platinum express. Being a first time customer I got confused by that, and didn’t realize until I had got beyond the line to pay that I purchased the wrong wash.After I got out of the wash, I had a worker approach my car and clean off the back. I didn’t know if there were any other services that I needed to get from the wash, so I hung out for a second and just left after a minute or so. I wish I would have received a little more customer service to help me understand the process. I did tell the guy who helped me buy my wash it was my first time here, but he only told me about the unlimited car washes.
Had a good experience here after my rental car got attacked by birds that were apparently suffering from severe intestinal distress. Got the $10 wash, and that cleaned 90% of the debris off the car (its a rental, Im not worried about it looking perfectly waxed).Guys working there were very polite and friendly, and the added touch (I feel for them having to do this) of folks drying your car while the blowers were on was appreciated.
Bad customer service. Called to simply ask if there was a guarantee that my wheels won’t be damaged while going through the wash and he said “Well I mean you’ll probably be fine.” ...translation my wheels will ‘probably’ get scrapped. My wheels are $1,000 a piece. That’s not okay. Don’t go here if you have custom or expensive wheels.
My car was in need of a quick interior and exterior cleaning. I came across Mister Car Wash during an internet search and after seeing the high rating on Yelp and Google, decided to try them out. They were quick, efficient, thorough and cost effective... $12 (plus a $5 tip) and in and out in about 15 minutes with the inside and outside looking great! Will definitely be back... maybe even this afternoon with my other vehicle!
Its kind of underwhelming for the price. I went for the #1 package which ran me $30 and included interior detail, wash, and wax. The whole process took about 25 minutes on a Saturday morning.After I drove out, I noticed that the cup holders had not really been touched, and there were certainly still bits of dried bird poo that had not been paid any attention. I ended up buffing them off at home by myself. This location is probably fine if you just need a light exterior wash, but it wasnt worth $30.
Their payment kiosk was not accepting cards and could not give change. Instead it spat out a voucher good for five bucks off my next wash. I live a thousand miles away, so that actually does me no good. In addition, my car didnt even get clean. Im sure theres a better car wash in Austin if you look around. Avoid avoid avoid.
I’ll give it a 3 because my car is indeed cleaner than it was when I entered. Not a bad experience necessarily, I just got the feeling that no-one really cared. There wasn’t a pre-scrub of my windshield or bumper to get the bugs off, no mirror fold-in, no antenna removal, and at the end someone dried one half of my truck. I typically go to the location on Research, and I think I’ll stick to that plan moving forward. Not for nothing, but for $18, I’d like the full show.
At first I was hopeful Id find a nice car wash nearby, but unfortunately thats wasnt the case. I purchased the top package and they did not do the job. Under my mats were full of crumbs, my steering wheel not wiped down, and my center console still had coffee drips on it. I requested a towel and began wiping it all down myself. Sadly, I gave a $10 tip prior to really looking at the work. The worst part is that they broke my seat. For some reason, they felt compelled to move the seat all the way back and somehow (I presume when vacuuming) broke one of the seat motors and the cable fell out and piece came off. When I went to drive away, I was unable to move my seat forward to reach the pedals. The attendants tried to help get the seat moving forward and one found a piece that was broken and gave it to me. I ended up propping my seat up with some packages from my trunk to drive to a nearby shop where they confirmed the damage. I wish theyd have been more careful. Now, Im waiting on a part (I guess this other piece got sucked up in the vacuum) for it to fully operate.Update 9/27 - I wish I could say there was a positive outcome, but it gets worse. BEWARE!!! This company does not take responsibility for negligence or the property damage they caused, which is $850 because I cant just get the one broken piece, I need to get the whole seat motor. My seat was in perfect working order when I got there and when they were through, it was damaged. They even handed me one of the parts they broke!!!! Jeremy said his video didnt show the damage. Unless theres a video on the top of the vacuum inside of my vehicle I dont know how they can justify this lack of responsibility. Jeremy did not call me back after many days too. They basically called me a liar. I literally had two new tires put on down the street and had working seats, drove here to get it washed, they broke my seat, and now I have to eat their mistake.
This place is an awesome value. For right at 30 bucks plus tip, I can get my car washed and thoroughly detailed. The last time I went, I waited way too long since my last visit and my car was disgusting. The gentleman cleaning my car got inside my car and scrubbed away. He didnt cut any corners. It was admirable and I was truly impressed. Its close and the price paid is worth the service given, maybe more. They have a lifetime customer in me.
I like the monthly car wash option but $32.99 is a bit steep in my opinion, especially since the service can be hit or miss. I can tell how the service will be as Im puling up to check in or coming out of the wash by looking at who is working as you get to remember the people who put effort into their work and smile when they are providing a service. Some give it their all and deserve a smile and a tip and some look like your mere presence is a bother to them.
Avoid at all costs. Tried to scam me. Asked first employee at the front if they did vacuuming only because I needed to get a rental car back soon and it needed a vacuum. Waited in line for a while and when it was my turn the lady said they do wash packages only for almost twice the the first lady said it was going to be. I said I only needed a vacuum. She laughed and said, No, and thats why Im the sales manager and proceeded to tell me about the more expensive wash packages. I left right away because I didnt have time for a wash. Stopped at a gas station to vacuum but by the time I finished the rental car was late. Mister Car Wash ended up causing me a $89.99 late fee. Unethical business practices and reporting them to BBB. Please do the same.
First time customer and I was very pleased. They are fully staffed with friendly & professional individuals. Their turn over is fantastic and they do a pretty decent job, esp working in the ATX heat. My husbands car really needs a detail, but the wash and wipe will do for now.Thanks Mister!
They do an ok job on the exterior but awful on interiors. As in, they don’t do anything but quickly rub a dry rag across about 10% of the inside. I also paid for the supreme package which is suppose to include interior protection spray, which they did not do. I thought it was a fluke the first time, but this is my 2nd and last visit.There is a much better, and cheaper, hand car wash station down the street at the Texaco on 2222 but they are not always open.
One star is for the friendly crew. The cleaning job was very poor. 1.50 in quarters at a vac machine wouldve gotten me a better job. One glance in the car told me it was a poor job, but I still asked the man to double check that it had been vacuumed. I only noticed how bad it was when I got home, the trash/wrappers that were in the car were still there. There was stuff shoved under the seat - guaranteeing to me they hadnt even removed the rugs when vacuuming.They only barely/lightly wiped down the dash board and nothing else, not the door handles, etc... I just wasted $40. Only to get home and redo it all myself. I had a meeting a few minutes later or I wouldve driven right back and asked for a redo.I was planning on signing up for the unlimited package, but theyve lost me as a customer.
I had a car wash done and not only was the wash poorly done there were numerous scratches on my rear bumper. When I asked the manager about the damage he denied the car wash process and refused to accept responsibility for the damage. I believe this place is under new management and their service is terrible. Prior to my car going through the service line there was a breakdown and cars were backed up. Some people turned around and left.I have been a loyal customer for well over twenty years and learned a hard lesson today. Dont ever use Mister carewash again
Professional, thorough, moderately expensive ($41.⁰⁰). Each employee seems to take pride in their work & do the job well. (It helps if you tip.) If you point out critical areas for cleaning your vehicle, they follow through. You get to watch while your car gets vacuumed, then washed, dried, & dusted / cleaned inside, WELL... & good wifi while you wait. Ive used Mister Car Wash on Burnet Rd for at least 20 yrs. When I come back to the Austin area, I always stop there. Not only do they clean my vehicle, make it smell better, it gives me a good feeling to drive a clean car.Thank you, Mister Car Wash!!
I’ve been here before and not had an issue, but this last time I opted for the $15 Express #1 with tire shine. Long story short, had to go back after driving home and seeing that I didn’t get any tire shine. The guy on the floor was super nice and helpful, explainingOh that sometimes you get the wrong wash due to an error. Fine, it happens, it’s a pain but I try to be understanding. After the second wash, I noticed that the lower panel of my doors hasn’t been cleaned because the brushes didn’t angle in and get them. Having a light colored car makes this very obvious. After this whole rigamarole, I’m probably just going to find another place but caution others that this is just an average place, nothing special.
They make it nearly impossible to cancel membership. If you call their customer support line it tells you customer support is closed and you should go to the website. If you go to the website there is a form you can fill out, but it tells you best way to cancel is to call the number. Filled out the form nearly a month ago and am still being charged. Most locations have either not been open or had limited services. Tried emailing the address listed on website for cancellations, was still charged. Might have to cancel your debit card if you want them to stop charging you for nothing.
Did not do what was supposed to be done! I paid for the bumper to bumper, to to bottom cleaning. I took everything out of my car so they could get to all areas. The back was not vacuumed at all, the console and passenger doors were not wiped down at all. The vacuum job was worse than I can do myself. And I was stupid enough to leave a $5.00 tip, just thinking there was no way it would be that badly done. Never again.
Had best wash available. $46.00 including tip. When my truck was ready they called me out. I got there and my $400.00 laser fit weather tech floor mats were gone. Took almost 40 minutes of looking and mgr told me they put in wrong vehicle. Said they will reimburse or order new n ship to me. Neither has happened in three weeks. Numerous calls gets me different mgrs every time or no answer. I was in Austin Texas visiting my brother n Im from Missouri. Numerous trips he has made there to speak with mgrs n they tell him different thing each time. So a $41.00 premium wash cost me $446.00
I got the most expensive package but it was still a reasonable price on par with other places. I wasnt expecting perfection but there were multiple obvious dirty spots on the car after it was cleaned. My side cup holders were still dusty. There were a few bird poop spots that werent cleaned. I watched the two girls drying/cleaning my car at the end of the process texting and standing around. Not a horrible experience but wish they would have put in a little more effort.
Took car on 5.29.18, had some dry mud in the areas around the tires. The same way it went in, it came out. Didnt bother spraying the underside. Of course, once I hit the road the dry mud was now wet and sprayed the sides of the car. Also noticed that all the bugs on the front of grill and hood were still there. I was able to grab a soft cloth with no real pressure by me and removed the bugs. So it wasnt as if it was dried out and required hard scrubbing. I agree with other reviews, no attention to detail. Never again, lost my business. Regret tipping any of the staff...
This place has the ability to be fantastic, and sometimes they are. However, it is pretty hit and miss as to whether or not the job is well done. Every time I go I purchase the same package. On one visit I get my truck back and cannot believe how clean and sparkling it is. The next I go I cant believe I just tipped the person a fiver to get back into a dirty truck. If the consistency of the job done was better I would probably get a monthly membership. I just cant seem to bring myself to get a monthly membership if I will be disappointed on half of my visits.
I went to get my car detailed to the Max because my uncle who is currently in his last few months from dealing with cancer, had an ordeal in my car, and there was blood everywhere. When I told the kid working in the service line what was up, he said he wasn’t sure they were able to do that (understandable, it’s blood, it’s a safety thing. Though I did explain that I bought gloves for them to use, and that I would take any objects out that had blood one them, and, as an EMT, I know gloves are plenty protection from blood that does not contain an infectious disease). He went back to ask a coworker about it, and I see them in the rear ore mirror laughing. As he walks back with his buddy they are both trying to hold back laughs. His buddy asks me to explain what’s up while actively laughing. I told him, and he looked in the back seat and confirmed they couldn’t do it. Again, I understand the safety hazard the company is trying to avoid, that’s fine. But I think it is extremely disrespectful to be LAUGHING about the situation in front of my face. When I had told the kid it was blood I told him what happened as well. Won’t be going back to a company that hires such people.
Agree with many of the reviews. Only went because of discount from dealership. They left blank specs all over windshield that had to be scratched off, that werent there before. Im not sure they have the equipment compared to other places Ive been to. Need clean clothes.
I had the platinum interior and exterior detail car wash. The back of my seats still had dirt from my kids shoes(which they shouldve easily wiped off with a rag). The doors werent wiped down at all. They basically just wiped down my front dashboard and that was it. The vacuuming was half-assed. You could tell they didnt vacuum the edges of he carpet or my seats and to top it off there was still mud in my passenger feet area that couldve easily been vacuumed with a tiny bit of effort. Exterior wash was alright though.I recommend going to The Finish Line off of Beecave. They leave your vehicle looking brand spanking new.
Really very slow staff. Looks like a bunch of unwilling workers moving at snale’s pace. I live in Houston so I compared their throughput time to the ones in Houston, and they are not even close. Mismanagement in action. Needs a good supervisor who can spring things back in action.
Avoid at all costs!I went in a couple of months ago. Got a decent wash, but once I got back I discovered they stole all of my laundry quarters out of my center console (About $10).I called and spoke with the manager. After some pestering he agreed to make it right with a free detail attached to my license plate number in their computer.I went by today for the detail. Turns out it wasnt in the computer, and the managers insisted they had no recollection of my issue. (Do their employees steal that frequently? Is the entire thing a grift?)He did agree to give me a basic wash (which sucked). Would rather have my quarters.
I have been using Mr. Car Wash for a long time and have been happy up until now. Today changed that. My passenger side mirror broke during the car wash. I reported it to the supervisor who then insisted that it was broken prior to my arrival. The mirror now swings freely...prior to my arrival I drove up Mopac then Hwy 183 and it functioned properly the entire time. The most dishonest business practice I have ever been victim of.

I wrote them a mail saying I didnt want to continue and they turned off the service. But they still bill me!3.) Attached the screenshots of mail and bill.4.) Full of a bunch of employees who like to stand around and watch you try to figure out where to go. $18 for a full detail and all we got was a wash. Removed our antenna and did not replace it. We were not directed to tire shine or vacuums. Workers were rude and unfriendly!
Where has customer service gone. This will be the last time at mister car wash. Have to pay outside. Service attenthas no cash so that I can tip these hard working guys. Since there is no live body person inside. How do you keep people from stealing all the merchandise for sale hanging on the shelves. Management should really think this over.
I would like to thank mr. Hugo Solis for his professional attitude and the care and concern he showed me after some minor damage was done to my car going through the wash. This is how they work- you go get the cleaning package. Come back and find that its a very poor job. They didnt blow out the leaves in the trunk. They didnt wipe the interior properly etc. You then point out that its not clean and you wait for another 20 mins when they actually clean it!!
We went to Mr Car Wash today and when I inspected our car I found on both sides of the car runs from the soap on the exterior of the carAlso the interior of the car had the gas where it was smeared and not fully cleanThis is a disappointing experience for spending 30 dollars including a 2.00 tip my wife gave himI would not recommend others to use Mr Car Wash if they want a really clean car I would instead recommend wash-n-roll where I did get a really clean car for about 34dollars flat rate per month.
There has never been a single time, that my car do not have spots after wash.. I always go for platinum package, infact I am platinum unlimited member, however whenever I go for wash there are always spots of water in my car post wash and sometimes, I have to wipe of windscreen as they use dirty towels to clean the glass
If there are rate in the minus Ill not hesitate to give them the minus rate because they are the worst car wash i see ever, cheating on the customer as they show you thing and do another service or not doing at all , you feel that all the workers not like their jobs and forced to work there.

2022-03-25What a great service!Every time I show up to the location Im always greeted with many smiles and big waves!The memberships are a great for anyone who washes their car more than twice the month.The employees are very knowledgeable in their memberships and products.I ended up getting on the membership and for one flat raised come in as many times as you like! Including the full service if you ever want to get the interior done because Im a member its only $10 which is an incredible deal.I will recommend this to all of my friends!!

2022-05-28It’s good, but a couple drawbacks:-(minus 1 star) occasionally get blemishes on car.-(minus 2 stars) at this pricepoint, vacuuming should have a sunshade. vacuum area is exposed to West afternoon sun. Brutal. I’d suggest adding this.

2021-12-14I’ve been a member at this car wash for a few months now. I recently changed my membership over to a new vehicle that I purchased a couple of weeks ago and within my third visit to the car wash, the shammy damaged a portion of my front grille. The grille is a full assembly that has a camera underneath that needed recalibration. It cost me 1329.00 in damages and the car wash was unwilling to reimburse me for anything that happened because I took the initiative to get things fixed myself. It took them 10 days to give a response to the incident claim that was filed on December 2, 2021. Sad to say, I won’t use their services again due to their bad business practices.

2022-07-04I have been coming to this car wash for more than 10 years and have not had any issues. Today I attempted to do the usual touchscreen payment (they set this system up during the pandemic), and the young lady told me that this is not a self serve car wash, and if I want self-serve I needed to go somewhere else. Wow!It only reason I can think that they don’t want people to use the touchscreen that was set up for self-service, is to be able to upsell you or try to sell you on a membership. Basically pressure sales every time you come through.Sadly, I won’t be returning to this car wash that I have been a loyal patron. I’m sure there are plenty of others around here that will value my business.

2022-07-05I have gone to this car wash for years and years, through several changes of ownership, mainly because it is conveniently located near my home. Today I had a very negative experience that has prompted me to write a review. The woman superfluously working at the entry gate, which has a touch screen and works perfectly fine for self-service, made the usual attempt at upselling a more expensive wash and a monthly membership. I always decline these and usually it a simple matter of saying “no thank you,” but today I got someone who would not give up and went so far as to rudely tell me that she needed to continue with her sales pitch, despite my having politely declined twice, because I “clearly [wasn’t] getting the information since [I] hadn’t been buying those services.” Q: Given that the basic wash always leaves the back of the car dirty anyway, why would I want to go and spend money someplace where the staff is also rude and pushy! A: I wouldn’t and won’t, so I turned my dirty car around and left. It’s amazing and sad how one employee with a bad attitude and rude demeanor can torch years off goodwill. They are literally paying someone to drive off business.Update 7/5/22:After Mister Car Wash responded to my negative review in an attempt at reputation management, I sent emails to the address they provided on 6/13/22, 6/16/22, and 6/25/22 and have never received any response, so take that friendly response for what it’s worth - absolutely nothing.

2021-03-22The guy checking ppl in was really nice. But the wait was long (I think someone was having a car issue and a bunch of folks had to back up to let them out).No vacuums but the staff member said they would have them in a few weeks. Will pop by to see if that happens.No towel dry at the end. I would recommend getting the cheaper options since there’s not a ton of added benefit for the higher priced ones.

2019-07-26The people plenty friendly and the coffee and popcorn available were a nice touch. I did only get the $15 wash, however the outside of the car still had residue spots that were relatively easy to remove with a finger. The inside is still distributed and the touch points like blinker, door handle and door panel are still full of smudges. The cup holder is still sticky. A relatively poor job by professionals.

2020-10-21I got the $12 dollar car wash (Express # 2) and here is the result: the front of the car and windshield was just as dirty as before, and it still severely impacts the visibility of the car. To be fair, the sides of the car are very clean, but this quality of work on the windshield which is the most important part for safety is still unacceptable.
