Wow what a great and fun experience! Maggie helped me find the most beautiful dress for my big day and she was so knowledgeable about the dresses and designers! The staff were all very helpful and kind. I couldnt have picked a better place to find my dream gown 😁 thank you!!!!
ASK for Priscilla!!! I found the wedding dress of my dreams at Mockingbird Bridal Boutique, my mother found her wedding dress her as well as multiple of my friends! This bridal salon is full of beautiful gowns and I had plenty to choose from. Unfortunately, my dress was not ready until 18 days before my wedding day. I picked it out in September, they told me it would be ready for pickup in late January. When February came around I called multiple times (the phone line is sometimes busted and I was in college so I could not go into the store whenever I wanted) They then told me it would not actually be there until late March. This was frustrating because my wedding was the 2nd of June and I knew it needed to be altered which also takes time and open weekends to travel to. This led to a very stressful last 2 months of wedding planning praying my dress would be ready on time. Thankfully my dress was ready for me to pick up 18 days before my wedding day. Other than being told wrong about the timing of my dress and the annoying phone lines always being broken this salon as very nice and Im so thankful I found my dream dress here
I absolutely loved coming here and recommend Mockingbird Bridal to any & all brides! They have so many selections & the staff is so friendly! I found my dream dress here this past weekend with the help of my mom and My consultant, Who was so wonderful & made my experience one to remember! And the best part is that you can find your dress within your budget- They have dresses that range from all prices! Cant recommend this place enough!
Unfortunately, I didnt have the greatest experience here. It was my first time trying on bridal gowns and the consultant mustve been tired or at the end of the day, but upon meeting me the first thing she said was lets see your pictures. No, hi how are you? didnt ask about shapes or silhouettes that Id like to be in or see, nor did she ask about where I was having my wedding. I just assumed these were important points before finding my dress. Also, if you are a plus size bride or over the street size of 12, there arent many options to try on.I went to this store specifically because of the designers, and when I asked the consultant to try on those dresses she said oh we have those, but those are in itty bitty sizes. After I had to request to see them again, I was then let to put my arms of the sleeves of those dresses and imagine what it would look like trying on. I dont know about you, but if Im going to buy a $5k+ wedding dress, I will not be ordering it without getting to try it on and walk around in it. I only got to actually try on two dresses, that werent my style. I will mention they did go out of their way to call the designer and see how they could modify the dress to the way I wanted it and followed up with me, however, I will not be ordering/buying an $8k+ dress without trying it on, or feeling the way it lays on my body.After the first experience here, I felt really disheartened about my body, the lack of size inclusivity and really didnt want to continue my journey of trying on dresses elsewhere. However, I did go to a different bridal store after this one and had a completely different experience and it showed me that not all stores are this way.I hope they move to more size inclusivity ways.
Mockingbird Bridal exceeded all of my wedding dress shopping expectations. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt they were committed to helping me find my dream dress. After 2 other appointments, I returned to Mockingbird Bridal to say yes to the dress. Thank you for such an amazing experience!
If I could give 0 stars, I would. Let’s start with arrival. We have been to 6+ different shops in the DFW area and not once did we arrive at the door feeling un-wanted. Well- at mockingbird bridal, you arrive to a piece of paper on the door. Try to open the door? It’s locked. Immediately in front of the door is the reception desk with a worker there who is looking at you but won’t come open the door. Why?? Because the piece of paper says you must call to get the door unlocked. So we call and they immediately unlock the door. We come in and as a male, I am immediately informed that I can only sit in the chairs at the front and I can’t walk around or look at dresses with the bride-to-be. On top of that, all dresses are wrapped in tacky plastic - the type of plastic you would expect in your grandmothers home when she is trying to preserve a sofa that’s not even important. On the plus side… they did give us water when we asked. So I guess 1 star is fine.Take your business elsewhere if you are looking for an experience rather than a run you through the ropes type of situation. And I have no idea how this place has 4+ stars. Admins- I wait for your response.
Best. Experience. Ever. Even during the COVID pandemic! Although I had only been to one other store and was unclear on my silhouette, my bridal consultant Miriam knew exactly the dress. I loved every dress she brought for me. When I requested something different, Miriam brought me the dress, and she was right; the dress was all wrong! Miriam was on my team and always made me feel comfortable and beautiful. She never rushed me and it wasnt until the end of the appointment that I realized how long we had overstayed our appointment! No other bridal salon came close to the wonderful experience I had at Mockingbird Bridal.
Horrible customer service and my MAN OF HONOR was not allowed to be with me while shopping. The owner was very rude to him and I felt like she was watching my mom and I the whole time. No mens restroom either.My stylist, Maggie, was sweet but thats all I have nice to say about this place. The store is very old, and run down, and their gowns felt the same way.As a bride with family members who are part of the LGBTQ+ community, I would never return to this store nor would I give them a dime.
I loved Mockingbird Bridal! Only took a star away because I didnt go through each step with them. I loved the associate I worked with, I loved going to the salon on weekday mornings and having a super personal and overall great experience, I loved many of the dresses they had. They did not have a dress that met my exact specifications, so I did not end up purchasing my dress here. If I could have taken my dress to Mockingbird bridal from the salon I purchased from and had them sell it to me, I definitely would have!
I was very happy with my experience at mockingbird bridal. Their selection of styles and designers was right up my alley. After 2 disappointing appointments at other boutiques it was nice to fall in love with the first dress I tried on here. Miriam was awesome! She helped me customize my already beautiful gown into the perfect dress I always wanted. She had great ideas and helped me really see how my dress will end up. I had no hesitations in ordering that day. My mother was impressed as well and is looking into finding her dress for the wedding here too.
Wow! My experience at Mockingbird Bridal was so pleasant and I cannot say enough good things. Maggie made me feel so welcome and beautiful and they had such great selections. Maggie did an absolutely amazing job of choosing the styles I mentioned liking and staying true to that. You are a gem, Maggie! First and only place we visited to find my wedding dress! Wonderful and personal service, beautiful and special place and experience, and the most perfect and gorgeous dress. I cannot recommend Mockingbird Bridal enough!Also, Miriam helped me find my dress, and she was wonderful and helped make the experience so special! She listened, discerned, and ultimately pulled the dress I chose to wear down the aisle! Loved her!!
Blown away by the care and support given to me by Mockingbird Bridal! They were amazing every step of the way, and always were quick to answer any questions or concerns. Even when I realized I forgot to add a bustle to my dress TWO WEEKS before my wedding, their in-house seamstress Mia was absolutely amazing and got it done in record time. My dress was so beautiful and I really felt like a princess on my big day. I highly recommend!
Unfortunately, I would not recommend this shop to anyone I know. I scheduled my appointment for 12:30 and arrived ten minutes early just to be told to wait in my car. That wait turned into a 40 minute wait, which resulted in a rushed appointment. The consultant did not seem to be very knowledgeable of wedding dresses, besides knowing the names of designers. She asked me 5 different times when my wedding was after I wrote it down for her at the beginning of the appointment and entered it on the website to book the appointment. She pulled dresses that I did not like (and stated I did not like) and wasted my already shortened appointment trying on those dresses. I did not want a dress with a deep V neck, she insisted that “they are all made like that”... When I finally found one close to my style, she told me we were out of time and would have to come back. We should have had 10 more minutes based upon their 90 minute time frame. Throughout the appointment it seemed like we were more of a burden than anything, and she reminded us before we left that we were “running out of time to find a dress”... I wish we would have had a better first experience! And it’s not a “picky bride” issue - I found the dress at the very next store with the help of some awesome consultants!
If you are looking for the perfect wedding dress, I 100% recommend going to Mockingbird Bridal! When you walk in you are greeted with friendly faces and the fresh smell of flowers. Miriam helped me pick out several dresses and was great at trying to find styles that matched my taste. When my dress came in, it fit perfectly. Miriam happened to be there and was so excited for me (she is the sweetest!!). Mia, the seamstress, is also completely fantastic. She worked quickly and accepted my dress on short notice and was absolutely amazing! If you are in need of your dream dress, and want to work with amazing women, definitely try Mockingbird Bridal! ❤️
This was my first bridal appointment. Unfortunately it gave me some pretty severe anxiety.The consultant acted as if I had waited too long to get a dress when no other store stated they would have a problem getting an order in on time. Especially with Covid having delayed or changed a lot of weddings and plans, I thought it was pretty inconsiderate the 50 times she mentioned I was looking for a dress late.I was continuously fitted in a size 12+ when I’m a size 4-6 at all other bridal boutiques and pant size. Even off the sales rack that she insisted I buy from.I was asked if I could move on my budget more than 3x when I had a pretty sizable budget.The consultant had the Appointment time wrong and was trying to rush me throughout the scheduled time. I had to inform her that she had the schedule wrong and that I had an entire hour left.It was not a good experience at all and unfortunately I won’t be recommending any bride to this location.
Amazing customer service. Found my dress in my budget. Such a dream come true experience! Would highly recommend going there!Update from previous review: I picked up my veil and dress and all I can say is WOW. I am so incredibly happy with my purchase. From my first appointment, to purchasing my dress all the way to picking up my dress the service is 110% I went to 4 other boutiques before I came to Mockingbird and you need to go see them!
I LOVED my experience with Mockingbird Bridal. I am so grateful for Miriam who listened to what I wanted and pulled dresses that I didn’t even know I would like! She made sure she listened to everything I did and did not like about each dress I tried on until she pulled me the perfect one!! When she saw the smile on my face, she grabbed the most perfect veil and even a bouquet to help me picture my dress on my day. I am SOOOOOO excited and Miriam made the dress shopping experience so easy and fun!
Teodora at Mockingbird Bridal is absolute MAGIC! I selected bridesmaids dress from MB for my wedding. The customer service she provided was above and beyond! She was helpful, knowledgeable, positive, kind, and was willing to go through options over and over with me. I took multiple trips to the store to figure out what dress, each time Teodora met me with genuine excitement! It is because of her helpfulness that I found the exact “bright berry” color I was looking for. Also, Teodora took the time to research other dress styles for the pregnant or postpartum bridesmaids I had. If she took this much time and patience with me over bridesmaids dresses, I can’t imagine what having her as a wedding gown consultant would be like! She’s truly epic- absolutely ask for her!
Loved this boutique! I visited between 6-9 bridal boutiques looking for the perfect dress and a great experience, and this place was the best of them all. My consultant, Miriam, was absolutely wonderful. She was knowledgeable, helpful, and personal. She took the time to read what I was into and what I wasn’t. She was very sweet and helped me find my perfect dress! They also have a pretty wide selection of very detailed dresses. Definitely recommend this boutique!! 💕
Really recommend this place. They got me in quickly since my wedding is a couple months away! The day of my appointment I had Miriam help me. She is amazing to say the least!! She is sweet, patient and understanding. Miriam had me try different dresses based on what I described I wanted and found the one. I’m so happy I found this place and had Miriam help me.
Miriam is the best!! So (SO) patient, funny and supportive. She’s also really creative when it comes to imagining ways to accessorize or customize your dress. They had tons of options and I really enjoyed my experience there. Thanks to the mockingbird bridal team for helping me say yes to the dress 🤩
It was so easy to set up and appointment with Mockingbird Bridal. Everything was perfect from walking in the door. They were there to great you with their smiling faces and then help you chose gowns with their expertise your pricepoint and style.I was helped by Miriam. She is truly the best. Her enthusiasm for her job and help getting me into the dresses was truly appreciated. She made me feel like a princess. I had so much fun I even went back the next day to try on my dress again and they welcomed me with open arms even though they were busy.I also had some trouble with my card and they were very patient as we figured out the holdup.If you want a great dress picking experience, this is you place and ask for Miriam. Shes the best!
Honestly wish I could’ve given this place a chance. I made an appt on their website for 11am, the same time the store opens. On the website it states if you cancel your appt with less than 24hrs or don’t show up, you’ll be charged a $60 fee. All morning I’m calling and calling trying to speak to someone about my appt and an automated system said to leave a message, but then hangs up and doesn’t even give you a chance to leave a message. Super convenient. Showed up at 11 am, doors are locked but I can see the employees inside. After calling, the employee came to the door and told me I needed to make an appt… which I already did and I explained that to her. She asked for my name and then said she didn’t see me on the list but I can book for another appt. At this point I could tell she really didn’t care and so I gave up and left.Really sucks I couldn’t dress shop here but I guess it was just a sign!
First off, I would like to say how beautiful the boutique is. Very well lit, great spaces for the brides and their entourage to feel comfortable.I absolutely loved Teodora. She was beyond helpful with everything. It was my first time ever trying dresses on. She helped me figure out the right style for me after a few simple questions. I absolutely found her very helpful, she was creative... you told her i want simple elegant, she gave you that and more.She made me feel beautiful throughout the process and i just want to point out how important that is and how it doesnt happen in all bridal boutiques. I am so happy I had her to assist me.
Mockingbird was fantastic!! I had a lower budget and Miriam was able to find me some fabulous dresses within my budget. She listened to exactly what I was wanting and was able to find the perfect dress! The overall experience with Mockingbird was fabulous! We had a Sunday appointment which definitely made the experience more amazing!
My experience at Mockingbird bridal was absolutely amazing!Miriam consistently was attentive, thoughtful and understanding of my wants and needs. She was aways accommodating with my schedule, especially since neither my mom or bridal party was in Dallas.After going to quite a few different shops in the DFW area, it become quite apparent that Mockingbird Bridal and Miriam were beyond amazing and thoughtful. There is a reasons why this shop has been around forever.Miriam could not have made my purchase more fun or easy. She is absolutely amazing and highly recommend going to see her!So excited to receive my dress!
If I could give Mockingbird Bridal 10 stars, I would! I had a Saturday appointment in March, and my consultant Miriam was ready for me whenever I got there. She listened to all of my hopes and criteria for my dress, and she made me feel like she truly cared (considering the first dress I tried on ended up being THE one). Im type A and wanted to carry through with my plan of looking at one more store, but I came back the same day for my dress. Fast forward to this past weekend, and my dress fits like a dream. They measured me perfectly, and I was able to share such a sweet moment with Miriam as she made time to be with me during the try-on process. I adore her and love, love, love Mockingbird Bridal and all of their staff! Highly recommend!!!
A wonderful experience in a beautiful boutique. My guests and I were well-taken care of with personalized service, making me feel cared about, listened to me, and helped me find dresses I loved. Becky and Miriam both took care of me in two separate visits, and I had a stellar experience with both of them. They were patient and attentive with me in my needs and wants. I highly recommend this place.
First off, they were wonderful at getting me in within a week for a bridal appointment. My consultant Maggie was such a lovely woman to work with, and really listened to the feedback on the gowns I tried on.Maggie really went out of her way to help me find a gown, but some of the photos taken with my phone did not turn out well when I went back and looked at them after the appointment (which made it a little more challenging to remember what I liked and didnt like about the dresses).For me, that wasnt a deal-breaker, but I could understand why it would be for some brides. Every dress they brought in was under my budget, which I thought was extremely appealing.Overall, this is a really cute boutique with great customer service.
If I could give this place negative reviews I absolutely would. The manager is the rudest woman I’ve ever met and had the audacity to tell me I was rude when mind you I was measured everywhere on me for my dress that was HAND MADE TO ORDER FROM SPAIN quote unquote.. bs. Dress came in too short so did I get upset? Absolutely. All because I was stressing over getting my bridals done in time. I was called rude every time I went in there by the manager her self. And when I told my dad who was waiting outside the store for me during alterations and I told him they wanted $700+ for alterations he went inside, with out a mask and because he did the manager said “because you have the audacity to walk in my store without a mask I’m giving you the dress back and not fixing it” my dress was not fixed and still isn’t not fixed with my wedding 2 weeks away. They made my dress experience absolutely awful. And because they under delivered.. it made me the bad guy. Do not buy a dress from this place. I should have listened to the other bad reviews but didn’t. When I walked in to get my dress after my dad came out and I stood my ground explaining how awful the service was there and asked for my dress back she told me she was going to call the cops on me. I wasn’t leaving without my $3000 dress. That was that.
Teodora was my sales person and I really appreciated her! She was patient with me listened to what liked and she would bring back the most beautiful dresses for me to try on. She was great made me feel comfortable along with all the other staff I encountered. Ultimately after like 15 dresses I chose my dress! I would more than definitely recommend this bridal shop to anyone!
From the second I walked in, the entire staff was the friendliest and made the entire experience joyful! Not only was the dress buying experience amazing, but I was on a time crunch- dress arrived in November- wedding in December- and Mrs. Mia in alterations made sure I was able to achieve that goal! I absolutely LOVE Mockingbird Bridal and will refer every single bride I know to go there!Thank you so much!!
Mockingbird Bridal has such a great selection of wedding gowns. They have adorable flower girl options as well. They truly can work with any budget! I loved their staff and only tried on dresses here. Never were they too pushy or anything! Would highly recommend visiting here from wedding dresses, bridesmaids or flower girls. Miriam is fantastic!
Mockingbird bridal was my fifth shop to try and it was a breath of fresh air!! My consultant was so kind and patient and did such a great job of picking dresses that I liked and that looked good on me. After weeks of looking she helped me find my dream dress!! Highly recommend them!
AMAZING experience at Mockingbird. We went on Sunday for a private fitting and we had a BLAST. You pay $75 for the private experience and that money goes towards anything you purchase that day! We were greeted with water, champagne and cupcakes! The women in this shop were WONDERFUL. They were so professional and fun. With ease they pulled the perfect dress for me. I am so so so excited and happy we found my dress here! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun and glamorous experience.
Teodora and the ladies at Mockingbird Bridal were fantastic! From the moment my bridesmaids and I walked through the door, they were very attentive to what we were envisioning for the big day. They were helpful in finding out the style we wanted, in the color we wanted. My fiance and I could not have picked a better place than MBB!
I had a wonderful experience at Mockingbird Bridal. I had two great bridal consultants, Becky and Jenny. Thry were so kind and patient. They worked with me one on one and made my say yes to the dress a special moment. I had to have a few minor alterations and Mia was awesome and my dress looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL! If you need a dress...come here!!!
We had the best experience at Mockingbird Bridal!!! We were not rushed, pressured or uncomfortable!! They made us feel like we were at home!! As a bride who arrived to the store and only had 29 days until the wedding, I was so worried I wouldnt find a dress, but instead they were more than accommodating and helped me find my dream dress!!! I am so incredibly happy thanks to Mockingbird Bridal!!
Miriam saved the day. We were crunched on time, and she swooped in and helped me find the perfect dress. She was calm, kind, considerate, and positive. My experience there outweighed all others, and I would return there in a heartbeat. I will recommend Mockingbird Bridal Boutique to all of my friends and family. You dont need to go anywhere else, they have beautiful gowns and the nicest people.
I said YES! to the dress at the Mockingbird Bridal Boutique!!! I find a lot of lovely choices online and in the boutique itself. It was really hard and confusing with all those glamorous and elegant designs that they have but because I have my best friend with me that day and a very experienced and opinionated assist from one of their staff Ms. Mirriam, I was able to decide and choose my dream wedding dress! The staffs were very friendly specially Ms. Mirriam who helped me picked the dresses to choose from within my style and budget. Booking an appointment is very easy, the boutique is very neat and lovely, no service fee on fitting the dresses and very convenient mode of payment. Can’t wait to see the final alteration of my dress!!!
I loved my experience at Mockingbird Bridal. Kathleen was the sweetest and was so great at actually listening to what I liked/disliked in a gown. I found the most beautiful dress...all thanks to Kathleen. I was so picky and difficult about getting everything on my dress JUST right. And Mia came to the rescue. She listened to exactly how I wanted to alter the dress. She did a fabulous job and did it so quickly! Mia is wonderful and is so talented. I had an amazing experience here and thank mockingbird bridal for being so great!
Im so glad I found this intimate boutique! My consultant was Ms. Maggie, such a gracious, friendly and honest lady! She assisted me with no pressure and much needed advice on how I should select my gown. They have a great variety to choose from and a huge dressing room.
Im not usually one to write reviews, but my experience at Mockingbird Bridal merits one. Armed with my Pinterest board, my mom, and a touch of anxiety, we started our wedding dress journey. This was the 10th bridal shop we had visited in a 2 weeks span and needless to say I was a little over the experience. We had our appointment with Miriam and from the beginning I felt like I was shopping with a friend. She was so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the inventory. I cannot wait for my final fitting. Make sure to book your appointment with Miriam, she rocks!
Although I did not find my dress here, I was 100% satisfied with the service I received. I came here on two different days and worked with both Miriam and Lynette. Both of these ladies were wonderful in helping me stay within my budget and find a dress that was what I described. At the end of the day the dresses were just not the one for me, but I am so thankful that I came here!
I’ve had the absolute BEST experience with Mockingbird Bridal! Both appointments I was helped by Pricilla, who is a genius at her job. She asked me specifically what I liked, disliked, and my budget and within 5 dresses we’d found the one. The manager and owner are both also delightful and ready to jump up and help the bride and her family/friends. I had been to other bridal stores before coming here and honestly nothing compares to mockingbirds employees, customer service, or selection. No matter your age or style, they will ABSOLUTELY have something for you!! Would recommend to anyone and everyone. They also have a great selection of flower girl dresses, bridesmaid dresses, veils, capes (that’s right ladies they have capes!!), jewelry, and hair accessories.
I stopped by Mockingbird Bridal on a Wednesday afternoon to quickly browse through their dresses. Even though I did not have an appointment, Maggie took great care of me! She gave me a tour of the place, the designers, and the price ranges. I decided to try on a few dresses and found THE ONE! Maggie was very kind and patient while I sent pictures to my mom and sister. I am so thankful for Mockingbird Bridal! Thank you, ladies!
Not great, staff is very rude and does NOT assist in the dress fitting. A large selection of dresses but could not have my gay best friend back to see my dresses (even though they are private dressing rooms). Uber paranoid and took my temperature without so much as a hello. Very old fashioned, manager did not care in the slightest.Almost nothing out of newer collections, not a friendly experience.
Where to start!!? I came to the store twice. I found my dress with Pricilla on my first visit and my veil with Teodora on my second visit, these two ladies are just AMAZING at their job. I am a very indecisive person and they are just full of patience, sweetness, and are just so knowledgeable on what they do. They genuinely care about you, the bride, and your wishes! Will recommend to any future bride I encounter.
All of the consultants have been extremely nice to me each step of finding my wedding dress. I had a bunch of dresses picked out and didnt fall in love with any of them. Becky was involved in asking me what style my wedding was and said that none of the dresses I picked out matched our wedding style. She asked if she could pick some dresses for me! She brought 5 back and as she was showing them to me, I saw it! I said I want to try on that one! I put it on and cried! I knew it was the one! Then she found me the perfect veil to go with it. Once my dress arrived at the shop, Lucy helped me put it on and gave me the seamstresses information! Everything has been so smooth and easy and I have loved every process! So glad these lovely ladies helped me find the dress of my dreams!
Wonderful experience! Tons of selection with a variety of price ranges. Maggie was wonderful and made sure to keep me in my price range and listened carefully to keep pulling dresses based on what I liked and didn’t like and quickly found me THE ONE! She did the same for the veil and then she and Ashley took special care to measure me carefully. They took an experience I was very nervous about and made it simple and fun and BEAUTIFUL!
I found this place by luck! I was out of town but luckily google came in handy. I visited lots of other stores that day because there are endless options in DFW, however I received the best hospitality at Mockingbird Bridal! I was just there to try on specific dress in a specific size with no intentions of actually picking my dress, but thankfully I said yes to the dress! I was a walk-in on a Saturday and they did everything they could to accommodate me and made me feel special!
Maggie was very attentive and sweet! She helped me out, and was very understanding on what I was looking for and wasnt pushy at all. If you go there ask for her!Also, this shop has some really pretty off the rack dresses for an AMAZING price! If you are in a budget you will find something there! It just happened that I find my dream dress somewhere else, but I recommend this shop.
Mockingbird Bridal has amazing customer customer service, Theodora helped me and she has been wonderful! She helped me select my bridal gown and was extremely patient as well as giving me suggestions. Other consultants were also sweet and caring which made me feel really comfortable, Im glad I came here!

I just experienced the easiest and best bridal gown fitting experience ever, thanks to Miriam!!!! She was so professional and knowledgeable about designers and their dresses. She went above and beyond to get the gown that wanted to try on to arrive in just a matter of days. When I tell you she made my vision and dream a reality, it’s understatement!!! I said YES to the DRESS. I couldn’t have done it without. You’re truly an angel!
I highly recommend Mockingbird Bridal if you are shopping for a wedding dress. Kathleen was so sweet and made the whole experience very fun and special for me and my family. She listened to what I was looking for, provided helpful insight and ideas, was patient throughout the entire process (I went in three times before I bought my dress), and truly wanted me to find the perfect dress. She even called me when she found out the dress I wanted (and ended up purchasing) was going to be on sale during a weekend trunk show so I could make plans to come in. From dresses, to veils, to shoes, Mockingbird has you covered. They have a wide selection of both bridal and bridesmaid gowns and some designers I couldn’t find anywhere else. They also offer in-house alterations. I plan to go back with my bridesmaids to try on dresses because they give you a discount if you buy more than two. I recommend getting your appointment in the early morning if you go on a Saturday or on one of the nights they are open late because it is a little quieter. They also have reserved parking for customers right in front of the store!
I came into mockingbird bridal for an appointment with Maggie on the 13th of this month. She was AMAZING!!! Im extremely happy with how my appointment went with her. Maggie helped me find my perfect dress for my big day! It is beautiful! She gave me her opinion, which helped me make my decision. Her comment to me when I was trying to decide was, you are smiling the most in this dress and look the happiest also! My experience with Mockingbird Bridal was excellent. They were considerate of my budget and gave extremely helpful feedback. I was able to get the dress of my dreams and still stay within my budget because of their recommendations. Highly recommend for the budget-conscious bride.
If youre thinking about looking for your dress here, DO NOT DO IT!!!! TRUST ME!!!! I wish that I would have read all of these reviews beforehand, but I didnt. This place was a total nightmare, and exactly like what all of these reviews that we just read say! I was so excited as this was my first time looking for my perfect dress, for my big special day! I had my sisters in town, as well as my Mom for this. I set this appointment weeks in advance, and even went through for at least 45 minutes writing down each dress number that I for sure wanted to try on. I filled out all of the info online, and expected for all of those dresses to be brought to me on my appointment. Otherwise, what was the purpose of me going through all of that trouble for? Well, we get there...and there are about 10 people already outside waiting. The door opens, and we all pile in...and I mean it was PACKED! The ladies at the front didnt seem very excited or eager to help, I mean when you have all of these brides here...so happy, can the staff at least look like they are excited and happy for you..and to help you find your perfect dress? Clearly not. I check in with the lady, and we were told we could start browsing dresses. This place is very tiny, so imagine like 50 people in a small place...all trying to go through the same dresses. So, not only that...all of the dresses were in big white, plastic bags. You couldnt see any of them, feel the material, nothing. They were literally all stuck together! I am wondering where my stylist is, they told me her name was Maggie. My sister and Mom are looking at me wondering where she is, whats going on...and I have no idea. I then saw Maggie, but she was helping another bride. Confused, I went to find out what happened? They sent over another stylist, who wasnt prepared for me, and hadnt read anything that I sent over. They clearly double booked. She acted like I was an inconvenience the entire time, she didnt know anything about the dresses, I had to basically have my Mom go fetch her every time to help me get in the dresses, and fit them to my body. I mean she acted surprised, like she didnt know that was apart of her job description. We were all floored. It was so unbelievably hot, and disorganized. There wasnt enough seating, I made it clear that I was bringing my 3 sisters and Mom...and not only that, the dressing rooms were as small as a phone booth. No lie! The place wasnt nice, the staff wasnt nice...the overall experience was a complete joke! We could not get out of there fast enough! Even if I did find the perfect dress there, I wouldnt have bought it from them...no way. I would have looked it up, and bought it somewhere else. Luckily this was our first appointment for the day...we left, and I thought that was just how the entire experience was supposed to go, sadly. We went to Lulus in Dallas, and Bridal Boutique in Lewisville and were completely blown away! Such gorgeous places, amazing staff, so sweet...and helpful, huge rooms, enough seating, they take their time with you..make you feel special, and actually care about making your dreams come true, and finding you the perfect dress! After going to these places and being treated the way we deserved to be treated, I knew I had to write a review to warn other brides to not waste your time at this place! This is my first review that I have ever written in my 29 years of life, it was that BAD! They dont care about your business, or their reviews. You can see that the owner hasnt replied since like 2014! Reviews dont lie. Save your time, and money!!!!!
I loved it! Best experiene!!!I went in kinda nervous and worried I wasnt going to find a dress because this was my 5th bridal dress shopping, but Priscilla changed that! She had so much patience with me. She understood what I was looking for and at the end she helped find the perfect dress. We both knew the first dress she picked was the ONE after trying many more dresses. She knew when I was going to say but. Believe me I dont leave any reviews on anything, but for this bridal boutique I wanted to because Im so happy and grateful that I received the help I needed to find my dress for my wedding!!! Every time I walk into this place I regret it. The first time I walked in I was trying to find a bridesmaid dress for my friends wedding that I was in. She was letting us pick our own dresses so I went to several bridal shops in the area in search for the perfect dress. This is the only store that treated me like I was invisible. They pointed me in the direction of the bridesmaid dress rack and I never saw anyone again.The second time I walked in was for my own bridal dress appointment. I thought they would surely pay more attention to a future bride buying what would probably be a few thousand dollar gown. Instead of receiving any help, I was pointed in the direction of 2 racks in the front of the store and my mom, friend, and I were once again on our own. We had to sort through several very heavy dresses that were in bags, so it was very difficult to see what the dresses looked like let alone be able to pull several and carry them to the dressing room ourselves. Once in the dressing room, my mother had to help put me into the gown because the lady that was supposed to be helping was nowhere in sight. After having experienced royalty treatment at Stardust Celebrations (sit back and relax... they do everything for you), this appointment definitely put a bad taste in my mouth. The whole reason I researched dress styles for hours online was so that when I went to a bridal salon I could show them what I was looking for and they could do their job and find me my dream dress. I even received better treatment at Davids Bridal and Alfred Angelo (they were very attentive!), which arent higher-end salons.To add to all of this, they are also very rude on the phone and act as if the questions you ask are very burdensome. If you want to go to a place that really cares if you find the dress of your dreams, stay away from here. Go to Stardust Celebrations!
I had a fabulous experience at Mockingbird Bridal!! It was highly recommended to me buy 2 of my friends that both got their dress there. Maggie was incredibly kind, helpful and knowledgeable. Found the dress of my dreams that I had also tried on at another Boutique and the price was better at Mockingbird Bridal.
We worked with Meriam and she was such a joy to work with. She never rushed me to make a decision or into something I didn’t love. She actually pulled the dress I ended falling in love with and even cried with us when I said yes to the dress. They have a wide variety of dresses for all styles and price ranges. I would highly recommend visiting mockingbird bridal boutique. Thank you Meriam for a wonderful experience!
Do not get your dress here. I bought my wedding dress from MBB in 2016. Overall, my experience with them was they over promised and under delivered. And when they weren’t delivering the dress on time, they were dishonest, snarky, and rude. My first visit trying on dresses was fine. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had a short 4-month engagement so I only tried on dresses they told me would be ready in time. I ordered my dress in mid August. My wedding was in early December. When checking out (paying 100% down), MBB told me my dress would arrive around/by October 12th at the latest and they’d let me know when it’s ready. I called October 12 and asked for an update since I hadn’t heard anything, and they said my dress would arrive in late November—which wouldn’t even give me time to alter my dress and cut it too close to my early December wedding. Plus, I had bridal portraits scheduled in early November. I told them what I was told when I bought my dress, and they then told me they would never give an exact date and there is no way the dress would arrive in October. I wasn’t expecting an exact date, but I was expecting mid October since that is what they told me. They were telling me all of this in a snarky tone (I’ve worked a decade in customer and constituent services, and I know/understand listening to both sides and being friendly and kind). What got on my last nerve was that they told me I could pay extra to have the dress expedited shipped to get the dress in mid November. My. Jaw. Dropped. Finally, they agreed to cover the expedited shipping costs. My dress arrived in early November. I had to push off my bridal shoot and rush to get my wedding dress altered. It was a miserable experience with them, and the worst part of it was their poor customer service. If they had apologized and at least had been friendly, it would have made my experience with them a little more pleasant and my wedding planning season a whole lot more enjoyable. At the same time, I ordered a bridesmaid dress from LuLu’s in Nov 2016 for a January’17 wedding, and I got my dress in mid December without paying rush.Suggestions to MBB: (1) be kind and humble (2) take some training on soft skills — instead of saying in an arguing tone “we would never tell you an exact date” (which an associate did), say something like “we are sorry our staff told you incorrect information and will make improvements”
I had been in many other boutiques this past moths and no one had a wonderful sales lady like Bridal Boutique has. Miss Jenny was a really helpful person who had good patients and did all she could to keep me satisfied. The store has a variety of beautiful brides dresses and all the accessories together. Priscilla helped me try on a number dresses, was patient, and encouraging throughout my time with her. She helped me find the dress that took my breath away. She even reached out by email to say thanks for coming in and offered advice after my appointment. Whats even sweeter is that she recognized me when I had retured after officially saying yes to the dress a few weeks later.She and all of the workers here are damn good at what they do, make you feel known and special and have loads of beautiful dresses.Cheers!

I went ot Mockingbird Bridal to find bridesmaid dresses. They have a great selection with so many options. A younger woman helped me and I really enjoyed her attitude and she was extremely helpful. She had told me that it was alright that I didnt make an appointment because it was not their busy season and there were only 2 appointment that morning. During the process, an older woman came to take the younger womans place. She was extremely rude and kept walking away when my friend needed help zipping up her dress (which was a two person job because the zipper kept catching on the fabric). She also told me that I should have made an appointment..which she was probably right but, I wasnt trying on a wedding dress. I found dresses that I wanted for my bridal party but, I was so turned off by this womans attitude so I decided to go elsewhere. I definitely will not be going there again.
My mom and I went in there for the first time to ever look and try on wedding dresses, not knowing an average budget or even what style I wanted! Pricilla was amazing!!! She was so kind and patient with us the entire time and genuinely helped us choose a budget and help us find what style looked best on me! Not knowing what I wanted at all other thank lace Pricilla pulled a a variety of styles with lace and truly listened to me about what I loved and what I didn’t love about each dress eventually narrowing down a style I loved! This was my 4th stop in my hunt for the perfect dress! I have felt more at home than I did here at Mockingbird Bridal! Everyone I worked with was very helpful. Amber could see me struggle on deciding and really helped me make my final decision. I would highly recommend going here! My sister in law was a Mockingbird Bride when she got her dress here 20 years ago and now I can gladly say I am a Mockingbird Bride!

There is a reason this salon has 2.7 stars. This is the 3rd time I have looked up reviews on the salon and considered writing a negative review and this time Im just going to write it.1. staff is not friendly. I work in the luxury wedding industry in Dallas and typically when you go to a bridal salon you are greeted, offered something to drink and made to feel at home because they appreciate your business. Not Mockingbird Bridal. The staff make you feel like its a painful process to help you and wont even order in any swatches or dress styles ahead of time for you to try on. What is the point of going to a boutique (and having your MOH fly in from LA) to try on bridesmaid dresses when there are NONE to try on that you requested? You may as well sit at home and get on Google.2. I paid over $700 for alterations to my $3,300.00 wedding dress. When I came in for alterations and received the quote I was seriously concerned. I have never heard of alterations costing more than $400.00 and that is absurd. I dont know why they wrongly encouraged me to order the size I did if I would need to get $700 worth of alterations done to my dress. This is unacceptable.3. All of my 7 bridesmaids live out of town and when we purchased them from Mockingbird Bridal I specifically asked to have them shipped to EACH bridesmaid instead of to the Dallas salon. EACH GIRL LIVES OUT OF STATE. When they called to tell me that my bridesmaid dresses have arrived to the store I explained that they should have been shipped to each girl and they basically told me that I was wrong and that I would have to pay $31 for each dress to ship it from the Dallas location. That amounts to almost $220 of additional charges.I will have now spent nearly $7,000.00 at this bridal salon and they didnt deserve any of my business. As I mentioned before, I work in the luxury wedding industry and will make a point to steer any of my friends/colleagues/other brides AWAY from here.
I went in November with my family and we couldnt agree on a dress. I went back today with my future in law and had a great experience with Maggie. I knew exactly what dress I wanted and Maggie grabbed that for me and helped me in. She even remembered the veil I loved in November and pulled it out to try on with the dress. I was in love, i couldnt stop smiling and I cant wait for this dress to come in. I would definitely recommend Maggie, she doesnt make you feel uncomfortable when youre standing in your underwear getting sized. I was worried I would but she was awesome!

A close friend suggested I visit Mockingbird Bridal while in town and set an appointment for December 26th. I was floored by the vast selection of gowns! I had visited three other bridal boutiques in Chicago and none compared to Mockingbird. What I appreciated most is that the stylists listened to what I was looking for and identified TONS of gowns that matched my description.I hadnt planned to find my wedding dress that day, but I did, and for that I am thankful.We had a beautiful fall wedding at Pazzos at 311 in downtown Chicago and my gown was by far my favorite adornment of the day.
It makes me so sad to see that this place have poor reviews when in reality its such an amazing place. I had a wonderful experience that I got to relive the second time for the actual buy. I was being take care of by Alexis and she was magnificent. It was a smooth ride the entire way, her patience was extraordinary. I had to come back a few weeks later to pay and the experience was even better than the first time. She remembered me and introduced me to the newer collections and seriously made me feel like a princess. I had gone elsewhere before this boutique and I was stressing out and unsatisfied. Alexis made my bridal dress shopping a memorable experience. I really do recommend this place to any bride on the search. 5 stars arent enough to rate this place and service. Keep up the amazing work!
Love Mockingbird Bridal! Every girl in my family goes there to get their wedding gown. I am the fifth one! We have always had a great experience with them. Very kind and accepting of the large group we bring in. My sales lady was very knowledgeable about the styles and knew exactly what I would look great on my body style.
Everyone there was very professional, but still very kind and helpful! My consultant, Priscilla, was so helpful and made the experience so much fun and not stressful. I suggest that everyone stop by Mockingbird Bridal for their wedding dress shopping! You will be well taken care of there!
Definitely recommend this place to all brides. I had a wonderful experience here with the lovely ladies who work here .. I have to say Maggie is super sweet and helpful .. I came here a few days ago to try on a few gowns and I fell in love with one but I also really liked another at another store... I was super undecided I had to come back a second time to try it on... they made everything possible to get me in on Friday even though they were already booked .. I ended up going for the other dress but I’m glad they let me come by so I could make my final decision and I am super happy .. they will definitely make you feel welcomed no matter what and I appreciate what they did for me .. they are excellent I recommend it so much !!!!!!!!! And Gowns here are beautiful and affordable 🥰
I went in and told my consultant that I wanted a ball gown and I wanted white. These two elements were nonnegotiable. She then told me that white wouldn’t look good with my skin tone and a ball gown would make me look short. I tried on 4 dresses and I felt like the consultant was judging me and trying to hurry me out the door the whole time. She obviously did not want to be there. As a result, I bought my dress (the same dress that mockingbird bridal carried) at a different store. Very unpleasant experience.
My bridesmaids and I went to Mockingbird Bridal today and it was the worst experience I have had dressing shopping yet. My appointment was at 3:30 pm but the owner argued me down my appointment was at 2 pm even though I called two weeks in advance to change it with one of her sales representatives. I had to help my bridesmaids into their dresses while two sales reps stood around and the owner stood behind the counter. I tried to calmly express my frustration to one of the sales reps and she walked off while I was in mid sentence. My bridesmaids were mad and I was embarrassed that I bought them there to receive such bad customer service. The owner never apologized once when my bridesmaids and I walked out the door.On the bright side I got my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses from Terry Costa on Preston. Busy or not, they treat you with respect and everyone is a priority. I gave them the $3000 that Mockingbird Bridal would have gotten.
The women who assist the brides and bridal party are wonderful, however the owner, Amber, who doesnt introduce herself when speaking to you, is extremely rude. We were told that our flower girl could take advantage of a 20% discount afforded to the rest of our party since we were spending over $3000 with them, however when we called to confirm our order, Amber stated that we are already doing you a favor giving you the 20%, and flower girl dresses are not and have never been part of that discount Even though we were told by her staff it would be ok. If that is the case, thats perfectly fine as we are not looking for special treatment, however there was no apology for being misinformed, no attempt to reach a happy medium to keep our party happy She was abrasive, combative and rude. I feel terrible for the sweet women who work for her, and the bridal parties that make the mistake of spending their money in this shop.
Went to Mockingbird bridal. Found my dress which the sample I tried on was extremely big. I have found this to be true of most bridal shops they only have a few sizes in dresses to try on. I cant imagine having every size in every dress. Even with the large clips they used the dress felt big. I was told that the dress would be ordered in my size. When they did my measurements I felt like they were ordering the wrong size and I stated that several times. They said it would be fine and that if the dress came in big it could be altered but if the dress was small then we would be stuck with the dress. I agreed even though I felt like the measurements were wrong. When we arrived for the fitting the dress was huge!! The entire dress had to be altered bust, sides, back, everything!!! Basically it was going to have to be taken down a complete size and half. I told them that I requested a smaller size before ordering and they needed to send the dress back! I was told there wasnt time to do so and have it for my wedding date. I was so upset!!! So I have bought a $1500 dress and paid $700 for alterations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do love my dress very much but charging me for these alterations when I clearly said the measurements were wrong wasnt fair at all!!

I initially found Mockingbird Bridal while looking for bridesmaid dresses that were in very few stores in the DFW area. I took my bridesmaids there along with multiple other bridal salons that carried the Belsoie line of bridesmaid dresses. Our experience with the other stores was atrocious! They rushed us, made my bridesmaids feel awful about themselves, and never once tried to put any effort into our experience. When the girls got to Mockingbird, Amber Harris the owner immediately put us with our consultant Patricia. Patricia assisted all of the girls, gave us plenty of time, and made them feel beautiful. She was amazing; you have to ask for her! Then when it was my turn to purchase a gown I went back to Mockingbird and tried on some dresses that I loved and of course Patricia was amazing. I’m 59 and a larger build so a lot of the regular dresses that were size 8s and 10s wouldn’t close in the back and had to be modified. At the other stores the consultants always commented on this, or told me what to try on and not try on, and just made me feel like I was less than a normal bride that they would work with. I even found a gown that was beautiful that could have been the one at a different store, but with the service that I received there, I knew they would not get my business or my money. Plus they didn’t listen to me like Patricia did. When I went back to Mockingbird I tried back on those three that I loved and decided on the one I would get married in! I cannot say enough about Patricia! She even found the perfect veil and crystal headband. I am one of the pickiest people about my clothing, style, and the way I look and she nailed it! Amber and Patricia were amazing! I didn’t meet any of the other consultants, but I do hope that they take lessons from Patricia in customer service. I noticed a few of the other consultants didn’t pay a lot of attention to their brides and seemed to not care as much or fawn over them like Patricia does. So if you do go, absolutely ask for Patricia and I hope that Mockingbird will put her in charge of training the other consultants so that way everyone that goes to Mockingbird Bridal has as fabulous and fantastic of an experience as mine!
If you want to be greeted with a smile and positive attitude..PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE!. I was here with my friend both looking for brides dresses and the three ladies didnt even bother to show us dresses. One of the ladies actually make fun of us when asking for the price of one the dresses because it was over our budget .Please do not come here if you want to be treated with respect!!!!
One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had! My consultant Lucy made me feel like I had no clue what I was talking about when I told her what kind of dresses I wanted to try on. She was rude to my mom when she tried to help fluff a dress I was trying on. I felt like she was going through the motions of her work day and I felt like she was trying to rush me out the door towards the end. I did not feel valued as a customer at all while I was there. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
I found the PERFECT dress here!!!!! I went in not having a clue what I wanted or what would look good- and getting married in 2 months!! They were so friendly and so kind. Both the owners, Amber & Ashley, along with Maggie helped with the consultation and the final picks. After trying on my 3rd dress I had found THE ONE!! The one thing I didnt anticipate was my nerves, and they all went away with the help of the staff. Thanks to yall I cant wait to be a princess on my special day!
This was the second bridal shop I went to, and the experience from the first to this one was night and day- I had a wonderful first experience somewhere else and was incredibly disappointed with my experience here. First, the gowns are all in plastic casings which makes it incredibly hard to sort through them and see the gown. Also, I was hardly given any help looking through them by my consultant, and she came and told my mom “let your daughter know that she’s over her limit and she can come back now”. She never once asked anything about my fiancé or wedding other than the date of the wedding. She seemed more preoccupied with putting the dresses back than actually helping me into them, and near the end, when I was contemplating if I would re-try a dress on, I was told “you have 2 minutes remaining” as she zipped the dress in question back in the case. Overall, just not the magical experience you hope for as a bride when you’re dress shopping with your loved ones and I would not recommend this store or my consultant to any other brides. I will not name the person out of respect to them and perhaps they were having a bad day, but overall would recommend other stores.
This place took care of me & my bridesmaids! They very professional, sweet, and awesome!!After I had gotten my bridesmaids dresses, 2 of them didnt fit my girls. One was literally falling off of her, the measurements were completely off which they said they would fix. The other girls dress was big at the top of the dress and they wont fix it at all because the other girls dress was a complete mess up. It took 3 of us to call up there, get a run around by all the managers and then they finally helped us with fixing just one dress. Im getting married in early June & 2 dresses are messed up. I would be very careful on ordering or considering this place for your bridesmaids, not sure how good the wedding dresses are with getting fitted. My bridesmaids went in February and got fitted & they came in early May. I Would defiantly try any dress that you buy/order from here on there when it arrives so if theres any mess ups you can get it fixed right then instead of expecting it to fit right off the bat.So after everything was said & done, only 1 girls dress was fixed. Which what shouldve been done at the beginning. But its getting fixed and thats all that matters & all we asked for. Wish we didnt have to get the run around, but it happens I guess. Just wanted to let everyone know that in the end 1 dress was fixed out of the 2.
This was probably one of my worst experiences as far as bridal boutiques went. I came in with my bridesmaids and was shown a rack of dresses and were told to choose with no assistance or guidance from the saleswoman. Then, once I had a few dresses picked out we were rushed during the try on process and the dresses were not properly clipped on my bridesmaids, so it was hard to imagine how the dress would actually fit. On top of that, when we asked how ling they would take to come in ect.. we were told they could not discuss that until we placed an order of 100% down. Luckily, we found the same dresses we were going to order from this place someone else and for cheaper!
I could not have asked fo a better experience choosing my dream dress. Not only was the staff extremely kind, they put me first through the entire process. They’re knowledge, understanding, and compassion made it an experience I’ll never forget. Along with this, there is such a large selection of beautiful, affordable dresses, it seems impossible to not find the perfect one. I’m so thankful to have found this boutique.
We found a beautiful dress here for $2500 but ended up spending $1000 in alterations only to have to take it somewhere else to get it altered correctly. I did ask for a $400 refund to cover my costs to have it altered somewhere else. The owner had no desire to make good on the situation. It was a very disappointing experience.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Brides: For your own sake, DO NOT EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! After trying on only a few dresses, the lady (dont know her name b/c she did not introduce herself nor did she care to ask me my name) told me I tried on 2 different styles so she had no idea what I wanted. I tried to explain that the whole reason I came to try on wedding dresses was because I didnt know exactly what I wanted either. I asked for suggestions since she knew the store merchandise and I had never done this before when she abruptly told me that the store had nothing to offer me. A bridal consultants job is to make the bride feel special and Mockingbird Bridal successfully did the COMPLETE opposite. Sadly, after reading similar reviews it appears this is the norm for them. No idea how they stay in business but I wish I would have read the reviews before I went and saved myself the trip. PLEASE DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!
I am posting this on my fiancées account FYI. But I was highly unsatisfied with my experience at Mockingbird Bridal this past Saturday. Yes the dresses were beautiful, but Lucy did not make me feel welcomed. She rushed me the entire time, put dresses back that I had picked out to try on because I was only allowed a certain quota although I had reserved a full hour and a half. AND if I had a dress on that I knew I was not going to get but I was trying to discuss with my family the pros and cons of the dress, she would tell me it was time to take it off and was a waste of time since I am not getting it anyway. She was rude to my future mother in law when trying to take pictures of each dress. And she continued to ignore me when I told her I did not want to wear a veil and told me it was traditional and I needed to have one on while trying on the dresses. I did not want one on!!! Just over all very rude, and although I had found a dress I really liked, I went somewhere else to get my dress because I did not want to give Lucy my business.
I absolutely had the worst experience at Mockingbird Bridal! DO NOT go here to find your gown. From the moment we walked in the service was terrible. I could barely open the door to get into the shop. After about a minute, I finally noticed a sign that said push hard door is heavy so I heaved and the door finally opened. Once I walked inside I saw several associates just standing at the counter laughing at me. No one bothered to come open the door or make me feel welcome. So right off the bat I had a bad taste in my mouth about this place.After no welcoming what so ever I introduced myself and said I had an appointment. All the associates looked at each other for a moment and seemed to be debating who would want to take me and finally settled on a petite woman in the back. I felt like no one wanted to help me and they were not friendly at all. The consultant that was assigned to me then proceeded to merely pointed out what designers they carried and which side of the room to find them on. She said I would have time to put on about 8 dresses. The only question she ever asked me was what my budget was; she asked nothing much about what style I was looking for or if I had tried on before.I went through the racks with my entourage that I had brought with me and found it difficult to find much of anything. The only gown that even somewhat caught my eye was on a mannequin in the front of the store. I asked if I could try it on and the consultants response was well its kind of a hard to get it off so why dont we start with the ones youve already pulled and then if you want to try it we can. I reluctantly just said ok even though that was the only dress I was even remotely excited to put on.We then were ready to go back to the dressing room and was then told that my male best friend was not allowed to come back. So brides, if you plan to take your dad or any other male to help you find your dress dont bother coming to Mockingbird Bridal because they will be forced to sit at the front of the store the whole time.After getting to the dressing room and trying maybe 2 gowns on I told the associate that I wasnt looking for a mermaid style but a fit and flare style. She stared at me as if I was speaking Chinese; she had no idea what I was talking about. I felt like she wasnt really listening to me and when I said I didnt really like a gown she would almost be trying to talk me into it. She asked me if I wanted to try on the gown from the mannequin and at this point I said no because I really just wanted to leave, however she continued to put me in more gowns. Again she asked if I wanted the one from the mannequin and this time I said yes but when she returned she brought back something completely different and was everything I said I didnt want. One of my bridesmaids at this point marched up to the front and told another consultant to pull the gown from the mannequin so I could try it on. It took all of 10 seconds to slip the gown off the mannequin so I really dont know why we could not have just pulled that one in the first place. After putting it on it was the only gown I even remotely liked! I feel that I could have saved myself a lot of time by walking out the door the minute I entered Mockingbird Bridal.Lastly I will mention that the girl next to me was trying on her gown that Mockingbird had just finished doing alterations on. The bride and her mom were clearly unhappy because they had done several things wrong and things they hadnt even discussed. So I dont know if you would want your alterations done here either. Just save yourself the headache and go somewhere else like Patsys Bridal or Stardust Celebrations.
I needed to try on bridesmaid dresses for a friends wedding and I was really disappointed at Mockingbird Bridal. Although the store was empty, besides me and one other girl, the staff did not help me. They did not seem knowledgable about the designers. They really wanted me to return for a measurement when I was ready to do one that day. I felt like they were not interested in me. I would go somewhere else to spend that much money.
Though I did say yes to the dress the process in doing so was a little congested. I was on time for my appointment but we waited for 20-30 min before we were ready to be seen. I was offered the opportunity to put on the dress and walk to the front of the store to the waiting area for my party to see it. That was a no go for me as I wanted the full bridal dress fitting experience of standing on the platform in front of full length mirrors. When I was finally shown to my fitting area the space was very tight and the lightly was not as bright as the bigger fitting area. Ms Maggie did allow me to go to the bigger room to see my dress but it was congested due to other brides using the space as well. The wait though I had an appointment along with the tight dressing area was my only issue. Again I did say yes to the dress and I will return in December when it come in. Thanks
Awful customer service. I called to make an appointment for all of my bridesmaids to get dresses from this shop as they are one of the few shops to carry the designer that I love. I was told that they do not do bridesmaids on Saturday and to come M-F. We are coming from out of state. Over 4 hours way, the only way we can do this is to come on a Saturday. I was told that we could come but they wouldnt be able to try on any dresses. What is the point? Thanks but Ill be buying our dresses elsewhere.
Of all the bridal boutiques I visited this was the only place where I received a very bad service, from the moment I walked in no one approached us or offered to help us, we were not asked any information regarding what we were looking for in a dress despite the fact that we had booked the appointment with them a week ahead of time. We were just told to start picking out dresses. When we finally started trying on our dresses the lady that helped us did not seem to care what we were looking for, she was not paying attention to our needs. It saddens me to have to write such a poor review about this place but I would not want this to happen to anyone else and therefore do not recommend this place to any bride.
I had an absolutely terrible experience at Mockingbird Bridal. After ordering my dress, I was completely left in the dark about the projected arrival date. I called to inquire a few months later and left seven (yes seven) messages for the lady who receives the dresses before finally calling again and getting in touch with her. Not only did she hang up on me after I inquired about getting back in touch with her since it took so many tries the first time, but when I called back to speak to a manager, the manager called me a liar and said that I hadnt called that many time and then hung up on me (customer service starts at the top, right?). I asked what they were going to do to make up for my absolutely miserable experience with them, and the manager said nothing. Getting married was the most wonderful experience of my life, and Mockingbird Bridal was the only unbelievably disappointing part of it all. Mockingbird Bridal is NOT worth the terrible customer service and potential headache in an already stressful time.
I normally don’t leave reviews but this shop was FANTASTIC! The consultant (Prascilla) was so attentive and nice but she did not try to sell you on dresses that did not work for you. Also she picked out the dress I ended up with on the very first try! This was my first store I visted and was by far my favorite experience.
Dont go here. The place is so small and it was about 90 degrees inside. I brought my dad who they said wasnt allowed to come back and see me when I had dresses on, so I had to go out to where everyone was looking at the dresses every time. Really special. They advertise that they have a huge selection. They dont. Ive been to other stores that carry some of the newer stuff, and they said they dont have any of that. So, if you want to be crammed into a tiny dressing room with no help, and try on old dresses go here.My consultant told me I should have brought a list of what I wanted. Well, to my confusion, I thought that was her job since I didnt know what would look good on me and needed help there. I tried on nothing that I would even remotely rate above a 3, and she didnt even try to pull anything that would get it higher. She looked at her watch the entire time.If you want to bring your dad or another male, this is definitely not the place. Its hot, little guidance is given, and the selection is very poor.
The moment I walked in, I felt like I was nobody. I didnt get in attention what so ever. When someone finally came along, I was asked what was my budget, then told me that I couldnt afford what I was looking at. I was told to look at two racks. They were rude in every way possible. There was a lady there that was a blond that was amazing. I only returned there because it was the place where my sister found her dress and I had gone with her. I cancelled my Saturday appointment and got the same dress at Stardust Celebrations.
Priscilla was my consultant and I cannot put into words how amazing she was! She was so kind, knew exactly what I was looking for, and was just overall such a peaceful person to be around in the midst of craziness! Out of everywhere I have shopped for wedding things and dresses, Priscilla and Mockingbird Bridal Botique have been my absolute favorite. I cannot say enough good things about her and that place to do it justice! Thank you!!
Dont bother going unless youre prepared to sign an invasive questionnaire vowing your health status. Were in Texas. Shove your questionnaire. You need my money more than I need your dress. Plenty of stores around who promote freedom and the Constitution.Update: Your precautions are over the top and not required in the state of Texas or ANY other stores I went to before or after my experience with you. It violates medical privacy under HIPAA.
FYI- they give garters for positive reviews.Ownerships level of service is abhorrent.Incredible condescending & dismissive, unwilling to find amicable resolutions when issues arise. Ill be straightforward in saying that Im shaking because Im so upset by how Amber (one of the owners) treated us. My wife used Mockingbird Bridal because we believe in supporting local businesses & Im stunned by the rudeness & lack of customer service. My wife purchased her dress, alterations & a few other items from this shop. We were very happy overall with the process. The staff was very kind & friendly. The day of the wedding though, my wife opened the packaging from the bridal shop only to discover that we were never given the veil! Unfortunately our venue was outside of Dallas, so we didnt have time to make a dash over there. Two days later, we called the shop & let them know that they forgot to give us the veil & asked how we should go about the refund process. My wife & I are very easy going people, so while it was unfortunate to not have the veil, we understand that everyone makes mistakes, we just wanted the $150 back. My wife got Amber on the line & Amber approached her by telling her that it was her fault that she didnt pick up the veil before the wedding. Katelyn told her that she thought it was in the packaging with what she bought it & Amber said it was on her to specifically ask for her veil. My wife isnt confrontational at all & Amber ran all over her with accusatory language & telling her that she shouldve known how the process worked. I took over the call & had to intentionally stay calm because I was so upset with how she was talking to my wife. Amber was clearly frustrated & continued her accusatory language & huffed throughout the call. It was evident that she was digging her heals in the ground about the no return policy (despite the fact that they still had possession of the veil). Her only offer was to have us come & pick it up. I told her that the wedding had passed & we no longer had any use for it. I conveyed that we were at an impasse & there was no point in continuing in circles about the matter. I calmly told her that while its within her right to tell us no, we would be honest in what we tell our friends when they ask us where they should get a dress. At that point she said shed speak with the owners & call us back next week. She never did. After a few weeks, I came by & she would not come speak to me. The nice manager gave me the veil & told me that shed have Amber call me later. I called back to have the manager tell Amber what time I would be in a meeting so she wouldnt miss me. Amber was initially polite, claimed she tried to call (we didnt have any missed calls on our phone), but quickly digressed back at square 1, I tried interjecting to say I understand, but she snapped dont interrupt me. She reverted to accusatory language again. I was in shock with how rude she was being & stated that I understood that theres two perspectives to the situation & acknowledged that we couldve inventoried the bag before the wedding & asked her if we could even get a partial refund & they could resell the unused veil. She said it was custom made, but my wife later informed me that she bought it off a display. She refused to do anything whatsoever. I told her calmly that the way she was communicating to me made it clear why she has so many complaints on consumer review sites & she told me not to be disrespectful (I told her thats not my intention & apologized if it came across that way) & she went on a tirade about going ahead & leave bad reviews & quickly hung up on me. I called back to speak to the manager (the nice lady) because she earlier mentioned that she could provide me with local resale shops & I neglected to get that from her, but Amber answered, yelling at me about harassing her because I called a few times that day, & hung up. I didnt have a chance to say one word. I had no intention to harass, I just wanted to get those suggestions from the manager on where to sell. Unbelievable.
My sister just got engaged last week and is planning for her wedding for August. When we arrived at the location there were three ladies standing at the counter, none greeted us with a smile. When we said we were there for an appt, for 6pm. The sales consultant, Mary, asked if it was for bridesmaid dresses and when we replied no it was for bridal she seemed annoyed and rolled her eyes. The blonde haired lady then corrected her and said that we had indeed booked a bridal appt and Mary gave in. She didnt give any instruction the entire time and when we started picking up gowns off the rack she seemed annoyed at the amount we were choosing. It was my sisters first time trying on wedding dresses so obviously she wanted to pick out different styles to see what looked best. At one point she stopped us and said Ill go count your dresses because I think your at your maximum of 7 dresses. When she found out that the wedding was 5 months away she basically checked out of helping us because she made it seem like there was no way we were going to get a dress in that time. During the whole appointment she made everything seem like such a hassle. After the third dress she had tried on Mary disappeared. We waited around for her for about 10 minutes before my mom ended up taking her in and undressing her and putting her in the next gown. This dress ended up being the one. When Mary reappeared she was with another appointment helping another girl try on a bridesmaid dress. Trying to hold back our frustration we asked her if she could find a belt to see how it looked with the dress. She snapped back at us that she could look after she was finished with the other girl who came in 30 minutes after us. After finally receiving a belt to try on my sister decided this was the dress she wanted to buy but none of the family wanted to purchase anything from this store because of how unprofessional, rude, and inattentive they were. After talking to the blonde that worked at the front who I assume is the manager she said she could sell the dress off the rack to her since the wedding was so soon but would not give us any discount for it being off the rack since it costs them to restock the dress. I ended up calling other bridal locations and found the same dress at Terry Costa in stock who was willing to give us 20% off for buying off the rack due to the cleaning it would need for being a dress that gets tried on. (Plus their staff was so nice and friendly) Save yourself the frustration and DO NOT GO HERE. Trying on wedding dresses (especially your first time) should be a fun and happy experience and we got the complete opposite.
Wow, Worst service weve had in a long time BEWARE. We bought 5 bridesmaids dresses here for $285 each and 3 of them broke within 60 minutes of putting them on on wedding day.They will offer no refund and no compensation. In a world where service is king, they fail incredibly.Sir, we cannot do anything after the dress has left our shop.
Priscilla is amazing!! She’s so sweet and willing to help! She had to have a lot of patience with me and my picky self but she made me feel so comfortable. She reminded me that it’s okay to say no to a dress if I’m not in love with it. Very much appreciate her and the team there!
It was a great experience! The lady that helped me out was just so kind and my dress is so beautiful! Only 2 cornerns with the boutique. In my dressing room this was a tiny cockroach that I killed with my heal. I understand that the weather is changing but maybe getting sprayed more often would prevent the bride from having to squash a bug while in a beautiful white gown. My other concern was the music choices playing, the songs seemed alittle sad/breakup related. Maybe more positive slow songs would fit the occasion better.
Manager and employees were very rude!! I guess in this store Staff decides what customers can and cannot afford. I dont recommend this place to anyone. We asked to see a dress and they didnt bother to go get it, they complain and told us that the dress was too heavy and that it was too expensive for us anyways.
It doesnt get any better. I die for these ladies, they have been so over the top amazing! And yes I have gone to try on my dress like 5 times! Ms. Maggie is my dress guru and she is HANDS DOWN THE BEST EVER!!!! I cant say enough good things about these ladies, go get your dress here. xoxoxoxo
Was very rude, forced me to wait in the front, and was not able to see the dress that were tried on. And was later informed by my Best friend who was the one picking out a dress, that they maid rude comments about me being a gay man helping my friend pick out a dress.
I was so excited for this boutique as Ive heard lots of great things. Well not in my experience. I made my appt online, they confirmed super fast via email, great. I see the words No kids under 10 in the back - Okay so I call to see if we can work with this being that I have a 6 y/o daughter and I want her a part of this, right?! Well on the phone the lady is not budging on the rule, fine. THEN SHE HANGS UP ON ME MID-SENTENCE because I questioned if she was willing to lose the business on not one, but TWO bridal dress (yes, getting my daughter a mini). So thats my experience with Mockingbird...
Recently, I got married and I made the mistake of ordering my dress from this Place. LADIES beware they will try to charge you for shipping after you buy the dress or choose it than they will call you and tell you that it might not get in time. After ordering it ahead of time more than six months before the wedding. I was also told when I was shopping around that this store charges for shipping, therefore,I was upfront and asked them if they were going to charge for shipping. They obviously said no. In general if there is any shipping cost it comes with the price of the dress but it is there responsibility to pay for that and no other store really charges. After refusing to pay I eventually got the dress in time but they stresses me out with the not knowing if it would reach in time. The staff is not that friendly.
I had heard mixed reviews but decided to drop in and give it a try. One lady seemed like she wanted to help, but the the manager was less than pleasant and down right mean. She was so rude and seemed like a bully. I guess popping in really flustered her. Ill spend my money where there is a nicer and more mentally stable staff.
Incredibly rude. This is the first time in my life i was shamed for my height. I had heard of a friend that went and was fat shamed there which was awful but I am a size 2 and they were so rude because I am short and kept saying its so much more fun to dress a tall bride. Terrible experience, I always tell people to never go there.
My sister helped me with the appointment,while heading to the place we had an accident which caused a delay because we had to wait for the police, we called to inform them about the delay they claimed we cancelled the appointment prior that day so they not expecting us and we didnt do anything like that, cancelling the appointment but we later asked the come, on getting there, they are so unfriendly that they couldnt show concern about how we doing after the accident, neither to the kids that was with us and my pregnant sister, the way the reacted was so unwelcoming.The most crazy thing one of the attendant said when we asked about a dress was that asking us to go to the store where used cloths are sold to get the dress,so annoying, we left angrily and I wish I never came to store .
I try making an appointment online and for some reason the page wasn’t working I try calling to the store and make it over the phone and the only thing they said try doing it online again they didn’t help . They don’t care so why making and appointment. Need more costumer service:(

Mare stayed with me until I found a dress I absolutely loved on such shorty notice and she was very supportive every step of the way up until my final alteration! Everyone at the front desk was wonderful & Thuy was very thorough in her alteration work. Will recommend this place to anyone and everyone :)

2021-11-23I loved Mockingbird Bridal!! They had so many gorgeous dresses with such a variety of options, and my dress was $800 so they arent all expensive either. I also had a great experience with alterations as well! Very quick turnaround and worked with me on all my specific requirements.Also-for those reading the negative reviews, all they ask is COVID screening questionnaire and that you call them when you arrive. It really isnt a hassle at all.

2021-09-14We had the most AMAZING day at Mockingbird Bridal!!! From the moment we entered the store everyone was so welcoming and kind. Our consultant, Miriam, was extremely helpful! I showed her pictures of dresses I liked and she was able to find a bunch within our budget. I found my dream dress thanks to her! I could not have asked for a better day!

2022-08-11It was not a fun experience. We showed up 10 minutes early to our appointment and were told to wait outdoors in 100 degree heat. No hello, no friendliness or anything. I really got the feeling they didnt want us there. Eventually they let us come inside, and again no one even said hi or seemed excited. However, another bride and mom entered and immediately the store owner is so friendly and excited for them. It didnt make sense, felt like highschool rude girls clique energy in there. I left the appointment feeling devasted and stupid for being excited to find my perfect dress. Their attitudes were disheartening. Went to another bridal boutique and WOW! It was so fun! Complete opposite of MBB, the associates at the other boutique were so excited for me and my wedding, they were exactly what I dreamed of! So in a way, I am thankful I had this negative experience at MBB because it led me to finding my PERFECT dress at a different boutique! Go to Brilliant Bridal, especially if you are looking to have fun while dress shopping!

Canceled someone’s appointment for them wing 10 minutes late but we waited 30+ minutes past our appointment time and still waiting. Unnecessarily rude to a client that walked in. We left, went back to a different bridal shop to get a dress. They definitely need to fix their customer service - it lost them a sale today. Sad that people think it’s ok to be so disrespectful. With so many options for bridal boutiques in Dallas, no need to be treated poorly. Do better Mockingbird.

2019-06-12I had a wonderful experience dress shopping here. Miriam was my consultant and I feel like she did a great job respecting out budget and finding the best dress and veil to match our budget. We also ordered the bridesmaids dresses from here and it was a great experience. They made sure my bridesmaids were well fit and that dresses were ordered in a timely manner. I am extremely happy and would without a doubt recommend.
