Excellent experience. Joseph from Moxie Pet Control was very professional and concerned about the bugs in the attic. He took his time looking for bugs all over the attic. He also explained in detail after he did a trill inspection in the attic and luckily no bugs or spiders were found. It was great news for me to hear that. I will definitely recommend Moxie Pet Control to family and friends.
Earlier, I had left a negative review. Their main office called me today to fix the situation. They offered me an apology, an assurance that they were looking into their department, a new appointment to redo the service, and both a refund and a credit. I was impressed with their sincerity and the swift response to my concerns. Well stick with Moxie!
Louis came to do our termite bait station annual inspection. He was very friendly and professional. He did a through inspection of all the stations and reassured me they were intact and working well. He provided information on the behavior of termites that was very helpful. I am happy with Moxie and the quality of service they provide with employees like Louis.
Service was amazing as usual. Caitlin was our tech and she was great. Went above and beyond and made sure we were taken care of with our new home. She customized the service to best suit our home and the needs brought on by area. If we could have Caitlin service our home every time, we would!
4/5 stars only because I had difficulty with scheduling and rescheduling for initial services. Finally, services were completed and we were very pleased with our technician Caleb. He was knowledgeable, made appropriate recommendations based on our needs, and professional. I can’t rate the effectiveness of our services as this was the initial pest services, but will post an update on later review.
I have a bi-monthly contract with Moxie for routine pest control. I was told by someone doing a/c work in my attic that they encountered bees or wasps (they werent sure which) in the attic. I called Moxie and received the runaround from the customer service representative.After answering questions about what type and where the bees/wasps might be (I couldnt answer these) the rep wanted me to know they couldnt exterminate if there were honey bees and kept asking about they type and location - instead of acknowledging my request and setting up an appointment. I was finally given an open ended appointment, which meant I had to be at home all day until a technician could make it. The technician made it at about 8pm and then was only able to look around the outside of the house for wasp nests and couldnt do anything in the attic. The technician said that another appointment would need to be scheduled. With no call to schedule an appointment, I received an email asking me to sign a waiver for unspecified work to be done in the attic. The technicians are all very personable, but the customer service is very impersonal and seems to be profit driven.
Our experience with the Moxie technicians has been great. Yesterday, Sam came out, and he was polite and professional, as all Moxie technicians have been. We are very pleased with Sam (Garcia, I think) and the other techs we have had, but their office staff sometimes mixes things up. So, 5 stars for the techs and 3 for the office.
Moxie continues to provide great and thorough customer service! Each representative from Moxie has been professional, friendly and honest. Our last treatment, Caleb provided great and clear communication. Thank you Caleb for your honesty and continuing the goals of Moxie by providing honest service. Deceptive business practice. Trapping contracts not clearly stated. Want out? Pay outrageously. I conceded since I understand that “they got me.” I asked to have them cancel my stuff as soon as the contract period is over. “Sorry! We can’t do that. You have to remember when it expires and call then.” I clarified that I was speaking to the person I need to, but they can’t flag my cancel until after that time period. “Yes, sir. You have to call us back at that time.” Roadblock after roadblock in an attempt to scrape one more service and fee out of you. However, all employees and field agents were polite. They deserve a better business platform.
I cant believe the absolute lack of communication and professionalism within this company. I gave them a shot to try to fight back some pest issues outside that were beginning to creep to the inside of the house. Before the third appointment, I tried to call in to get it rescheduled (no one would be home, so the side and back of the outside of the house would be inaccessible--pointless for them to make a visit). Naturally, no one picked up the phone despite trying several times throughout the day. Instead, I left a message saying Id like to reschedule the appointment. Come to find out on the day of the original appointment, whoever listened to my message decided it would be best if they didnt reschedule and just kept the appointment.Now Im furiously scrambling to contact anyone to cancel this visit and change it to a different date. I finally get it settled out with a manager who assures me via phone and email that this accidental visit would not be charged to my account and that they have no idea why someone wouldnt have allowed the appointment to be rescheduled. Two days later Im charged for the visit that wasnt even suppose to happen and this, coupled with the fact that I havent even noticed any improvement on a bug situation, allows me to decide that enough is enough.I called in to cancel my account and pay out the remaining services. Now, weeks after cancelling the account, they continue to call, text, email and otherwise harass me and claim that I owe a balance of around $130 for a service that 1) should have been taken off to begin with and 2) was paid off when I cancelled the whole account.Save your time, your money, and your sanity. This seems like one large scam company.UPDATE: Towards the companys response: Its not even a frustration at this point; its harassment towards me due to a lack of structure, communication, and record-keeping within the company. There is no amount of apologizing that can make up for this.
I was sitting on my front porch when this moxie van pulled up in front of my neighbors house. He started spraying & when he was close enough (about 8 ft. away) I asked how much they charge for that type of service (he was just spraying the perimeter) no answer. Didn’t even look at me. He went into my neighbors backyard after that & came back out the side of the house & I asked again. Nothing. He didn’t have earbuds in or anything. Just completely ignored me. I left it at that. Was honestly looking for a pest control service, but this one is not the one.
Over 1 year - service fails to control ants sufficiently. Weeks after quarterly - its as if no chemicals applied.Warranty appointments take time - so you wind up purchasing your own insecticides, traps, etc and doing the work yourself.Update: 7 days later - web form and voicemail requesting warranty service did NOT result in contact.Conclusion: company whose staff ask for positive google reviews each visit - but simultaneously disregard requests for warranty service is what type of company?
I think my favorite thing about this company is that they will ignore your requests to move an appointment, not be able to complete the service (because the appointment was supposed to have been moved while you were gone), take your money anyway, and then—after canceling the service—comes back to your house with the same door-to-door speech as if nothing happened (in a “no soliciting” neighborhood).Clearly they don’t have a good book-keeping system and will steal your money and offer nothing in return. Avoid at all costsEdit, response to company: You won’t me because I had to change my email because of the harassment you were causing. I will not discuss this further because I have already talked to three managers and/or supervisors who should have taken note of this. If they didn’t notate this event then there’s a serious issue with bookkeeping in your company.
Just had Joseph Kotowski come do my first appointment today. I’ve used terminex, aptive, worldwide and many others. I’ve never had someone be so polite, patient and caring like Joseph. He took the time to get to know me while continuing to work. He even had treats for my dogs! What pest control company does that!? He was super thorough, super knowledgeable, very impressive young man. Where has this guy been? As well as the company Moxie which he talked so highly of as an employee working out in 100 degree heat all day. I’m so glad I’ve finally found a pest control company (mainly Joseph) who blew me away with the service. Please only send him to my house in the future.
Mr. Louis and Mr. Juan performed a quarterly service at our home. They have excelled once more with their knowledgeable expertise and professional manners. I highly recommend these individuals as they always give Moxie a good name each time. Keep up the hard work guys!
Sam G. made time to come out and deal with a hornet and wasp infestation. We werent schedule for the day but the company and Sam made it happen. He was very detail oriented, responsive to questions, and gave great advice moving forward to mitigate them returning. Thank you.
Updating review to be forced to pay an early cancellation fee that the sales person did not explained me. She said I could cancel any time. Not recommended. Not even Gecko charge that.Very nice experience, Konnor did a great job checking the nest in our house. Definitely recommended!
Konnor came out for the initial treatment and he made sure I didnt have any questions before he left. He was very polite and got the treatment done quickly, he even left some outdoor repellents for mosquitos. I would recommend this service if you have mosquitos and other insects around your house
The previous owners of my home used Moxie. They canceled their services. I purchased this home over a month and a half ago and Moxie came to my property and removed termite bait traps from my private backyard while I was not home. My neighbor reported to me that they had been on my property and there are holes all over my backyard from them removing these devices without my permission. This has been reported to company management and SAPD.In response to your reply, I’ve already given my contact information to “Jordan A.” on the termite support team. He was unsure of how to handle this situation.
Our gate to the backyard is old and has to be blocked/tied up in order to keep our dogs from getting out. After other pest companies failed to, Moxie has consistently complied with our request to notify us before they visit so we can let them into the backyard. Other companies would just do the front yard and leave with no notification, despite notes on our file. Thanks for working with us Moxie!Edit: Louis and Juan came out again today. An absolute delight - and they remembered to check the rat traps we forgot we had!!! Good thing too as they needed replacing! Moxie fans for life!
I had a big problem with spiders on my patio so I called Moxie and they sent Caleb a very hard working young man he made sure to take care of any concerns I had and did an awesome job and Moxie made sure to take care of my concerns I recommend Moxie to friends and family. Thanx Moxie
I had the absolute worst experience with this company. I do not write reviews but I felt I needed to write this one. Because of this experience I called to cancel. I was told I could cancel anytime so I did. Now Im being forced to pay an early cancellation fee which the sales person never explain me. I called and was told I was not going to get a refund and that was that. I am so disappointed, I was really looking forward to working with them after reading such good reviews.
Update: 5 years in now and Moxie is still providing exceptional customer service and care. Today we had Joseph come by and he provided thorough excellent care to our home. This is exactly what we’ve come to expect from Moxie and I’m so glad that our experience has been consistent throughout the years. 24 y/o rep (said he was 19 though) showed up and started milking my renters for info and then called me and pretended they had asked for pest control to be authorized. I told him to knock off this hustle or Id call the cops, but he said he was going to scam a few more people first. He refused to give me the spelling of his company name and then called me back impersonating a detective. Im no lawyer, but this seems downright illegal. Well, now theres a real police report against him. Theres a whole FB group of people complaining about this companys business practices. Im sure his boss will know as soon as they see this review and I mention the guy with the scar on his lip. 2 of my renters identified the regional manager as the guy trying to create a fake bug problem.Oh and apparently they posted a company photo of themselves like... this.... I just dont know what else needs to be said now...
Louis was very professional, courteous and informative. Louis introduced himself, explained his process, and provided an overview of the services provided. Louis was extra informative on the way termites target the bait stations before the house. Thank you Louis and Moxie for another well performed service!Emily was professional and very thorough. Emily provided a thorough treatment to the inside and outside of my home, coordinated with Louis for additional treatment for carpenter ants based off my termite treatment, and followed up with answers to questions. Emily provided guidance on waiting period and how treatment is activated, which was helpful based on my pet having to be let out after treatment.
This company sends kids door to door and while I know theyre just trying to make some money, they need to teach them that a no soliciting sign means just that. Dont even knock. And then to continue to be persistent just ticks people off. As a result, I will NEVER use this company.
Stop harassing home owners after they request your salesmen to leave. Refusing to leave after being told so many times, while standing in front of your home is harassment, stating that you and other members will continue coming to your home can be considered a threat after being told to stop showing on your property again.
The Moxie service is typically subpar and hasn’t been as effective as other pest control services. Though the product and service has not been great up to this point, Robert - a young, professional pest control sprayer - has given me reason to rate this company higher. Robert was a gentleman, took off his shoes, was careful where he sprayed, and was a pleasant person to have in my home. He provided what others in his company have been unable to provide: service with a smile and a positive attitude. Thanks to Robert, Moxie is receiving a positive review.
Jose Nieves came in and knocked out the outside of the house efficiently and quickly. He even laid out bait for the ants in my yard. He came out while I was working from home and I didnt need to take any time to tell him what needs to be done since moxie already knows.
It was time for my quarterly treatment, I’ve had ongoing issues w sugar ants in my kitchen despite keeping very clean. This so the first time a service person offered to spray inside the wall, if that doesn’t work I don’t know what will but grateful for the offer of more then just bait paste that doesn’t seem to have any long term resolution, especially considering how this type of ant colonizes and is difficult to be rid of. Thankyou!
Well moxie did my outside best as they could because I wasn’t home to move things around and keep the dogs inside but they give you the opportunity to call them and reschedule so that you can get your whole home experience handle I appreciate that thank you very much Moxie
Well today Jose did the service and it was very professional and great service, but another time were different people and everyone were amazing, even when you call, for wither information or reschedule they are always great and very friendly and they answer promptly. Super recommended 👌
Edited: I am adding another review as we are into a year with Moxie and have nothing but great service from them. Yesterday Caleb and his partner did an excellent job and made sure to take care of my concerns in my backyard. I appreciate the fact that they dont look at me like Im a crazy person when I ask them to treat random places Ive seen fire ants or wasp. Those are pur biggest problems and they will come out anytime in between treatments if I need it. Thank you guys.Im extremely happy with our service so far. In literally 2 services after canceling our previous pest control, our wasp problem has dramatically improved!
Bait stations not all installed 8n ground left just sitting there. Did not followup in 60 days for above ground stations like we were told. Asked for partial refund and was told we only had 3 days after service to request refund. But they will come out to perform service or cancel contract what a joke. Lousy company contacting bbb
Mitch and Joe showed up exactly on time and were great in doing all that was asked. They worked around the entire house and inside the house, on both floors, explaining things to me along the way. I had a few questions for them, and they were quick to respond with helpful information. Mitch even advised me on areas I may have to look into around the house, where bugs like to hide. Extremely grateful for this, because I didnt know. I will take care of these issues ASAP. Thanks for the great service and great people Moxie Pest Control!2 FEB 22 Update. Moxie continues to impress and take care of me. Chris came out yesterday and went over EVERYTHING termites with me. I have had an issue with termites in the past along my fence line, but now Im good to go. Chris was incredibly knowledgeable and competent when t came to termite culture and how things work. Great customer service provided by Caleb when it came to explaining their spray and service contract procedures. Caleb was courteous and respectful since my oldest son was home sick and also advised what extra care was needed since we have dogs and a bearded dragon. Definitely satisfied with the service and pricing this company represents which is clear by the staff. Will be recommending them to our neighbors when needing a pest control service!
Jose Mendez does a great job. He pays attention to the small details. He goes even rings the doorbell when he gets her and when he leaves. He makes sure to let you know what might need to be done next time a technician comes. He is very friendly and is very knowledgeable and does a great service.
Despite my No Solicitation sign right above my doorbell, these sales people think theyre clever and make up all sorts of excuses on why they choose to ignore the request. Oh, that sign is yours? A lot of them are left from the previous renters/home owners. I talked to your spouse and they said you handle this and come talk to you. And they recycle their excuses. Even if I wanted pest control, based on your unprofessional behavior in the past, I wouldnt choose your company regardless of how cheap you are or how many of my neighbors are satisfied with your service! I cant wait for the next time they choose to ignore the sign.Some things never change! All the other solicitors that make it through the neighborhood abide by the No Soliciting sign. In the 9 months since my original review, Ive not had one solicitor knock or ring my doorbell. Until today. Guess who it was? Again?!?!?!? Moxie Pest Control.
Joseph S. and Lewis came out to complete our initial pest control service today. These guys are extremely polite and professional. They explained the details of the service and ensured we know to stay out for at least 2 hrs for the safety of our newborn. I would totally recommend this service to my family and friends. Prior to my recent quarterly visit last week, I had my yearly termite inspection. Due to activity found in tree stumps on my property, I decided to go with Moxie for my termite needs as well. They provided reasonable pricing and they also have military discounts towards services.I prefer having the same person come each visit and they do their best to make that happen. Mitchell and Joseph are professional and personable and do an exceptionally well job. They are very honest. My dad had poured cement down last, day in a spot on the porch and Joseph didnt see it until after he accidentally stepped in it. He made sure to see my dad before he left and called his supervisor in order to, in some way, discount my quarterly bill for the mishap.I have had other service providers however, when Moxie first started here in Texas a bit over 3yrs ago and came to my door their experience and knowledge blew me a way and I started with them that morning while he was at my home. Typically, although services between quarterlies are free, they’re not at all needed. There was one year, due to weather, but otherwise not at all.If you’re looking for a pest control company to go with, I highly recommend you start with moxie, you won’t be disappointed!
This is our third pest control company since owning this house and they are by FAR the best. Not the cheapest, but in this case you really get what you pay for. Super responsive any time I have had an issue, but issues are few and far between because they are incredibly thorough.Today Louis serviced my yard, and did a great job. He listened to my concerns, addressed them, and explained all of the things he did to keep my house and yard free from bugs.
We have been availing ourselves of their services for a while now and have been pretty satisfied. Louis is always so pleasant and takes good care of us. We have a relatively large footprint/perimeter in a rural setting, with lots of elevation changes but Louis always covers us well! So glad we have their quarterly services!
We have had a great experience with Moxie! They are always very professional and they are very knowledgeable. This morning we had Louis stop by and treat the inside of our home and he was very respectful and made sure he knew what we needed in our home so that we could have that taken care of.The great thing is if I see any critters resurface, all this hill country wildlife, I can call and schedule another treatment with no additional cost. Yesterday Louis came by to do our quarterly maintenance. Not only did he come quickly, but he was sure to go through every inch inside and outside of the house while cleaning any cobwebs that had formed in between. After everything was done, he took time to go through and explain everything that he did as well as ask me if I had any questions. I highly recommend Moxie Pest. They are very friendly and professional!
Caitlin was very kind, professional and hard working. Shes very knowledgeable and will take the time to ask you about your property and needs. The very first thing she did was take safety measures to ensure everyone was safe during the service including our big fluffy cat. I look forward to seeing her again for our next service.
Very professional, courteous, incredibly down to earth and explain things very well! Very good price for all they do! Very flexible about when they come and reliable! We are very pleased so far and look forward to our future services! We finally found someone that can deal with scorpions inside and outside your home, including spiders in every type of Roche there is, not that we needed rush control that we certainly needed scorpions control! They do such a thorough job the even get Dirt dauber nest and wasp nest! Both the sales people the office staff and the technician were all very very assuring and pleasant!
John Michael was great! The techs come out quarterly. He was responsive to my questions. He seemed pretty knowledgeable. I havent seen a spider or wasp until yesterday. They came came out today. If they can schedule the same day, they will, but next day theyll be there. The flexibility with scheduling is a plus. Great service.
May 2022:I’m so delighted that in all the years with Moxie the service techs have all been professional & courteous.Today Sam treated our yards, he was prompt, courteous, provided clear explanation of the treatment plan and next steps if further treatments become necessary.Moxie is one of easiest & most efficient contractors/vendors that I’ve worked with in years!Dec 2021:We had our quarterly service today… Jose did an excellent and thorough job! I appreciated his detailed information about the various products used, their purpose, as well as the precautionary measures taken around our vegetables, herbs, and fruits… Excellent customer service!May 2021:Well... somehow we managed to have a major flea issue! Unsure if it was due to feral cats, critters (skunks, squirrels, opossums...) or because of our new garden... were they already in the ground and we perhaps ‘disturbed’ them or if they came in with the new soil... but it was awful! Enter Moxie... omitting all the boring details, Moxie schedulers were understanding of how unbearable it was to share living space with the fleas and near impossible to avoid the outdoors with a newly planted vegetable garden.Moxie followed up after each treatment to ensure everything was well, the techs that came out were on their game providing information, instruction, and guidance every step of the way... even sending someone out to assist with how to clean my floors!Thankfully, the fleas have finally departed, we have our home & yards back... while it was not an easy task Moxie was diligent, professional, and caring...Dec 2020:We are still happy customers, Moxie is delivering on their treatment services and customer service levels. On Wednesday, June 9, 2021 Chandler, a sweet young man came to our door..He introduced himself, told me what company he represented,(Moxie) and normally I dont even answer for solicitors, but something told me to hear him out.. Im glad I did. He had been at several of my neighbors houses and since he was still on my block, he gave us an awesome deal my! $200 off the regular price. This was total pest control, front yard, back yard, and inside the house.. Safe around pets and humans.Guaranteed to work,, or they come back and redo it..So far so good! JOSHUA my pest control technician today and he was the best! Very professional, genuinely concerned, and overall he did an awesome job! THANKS JOSHUA AND CHANDLER!!
Today was the first treatment from this company at my house and it was a great experience. I really appreciate that konnor was very kind and took his time to explain everything I needed to know. I am very impressed with he did. Thanks to his job and his professionalism I will definitely be recommending this company for pest control needs in the future.

2022-04-12Emily was wonderful and expeditions in work. She made sure all my questions were answered before she left. In fact, all technicians have been friendly and knowledgeable. Overall, we love Moxie. Great communication via text, voicemail, email - whatever your preference is, and they offer reasonable prices and payment options so pest control can be accessible to all kinds of homeowners. I can say with certainty we’ve seen at least a 50% reduction in general pests and completely eliminated our issue with termites. Also, all products used are animal friendly which is so reassuring for those of us who have furry family members. Highly recommend this company to all with pest control needs.

2022-08-02We have been using Moxie of San Antonio for over a year now and we have been very pleased with their services. Today we had Sam come out for our quarterly maintenance service and he was very courteous, thorough, and professional. We were getting lawn work done during the same time and I was concerned it would interfere with what he needed to do, but Sam worked very well around everything. Great service!

2022-06-02We’ve been using this particular organization for over a year now and are always pleased with their services. Each technician who comes out is super friendly, efficient and take their time to properly service our property. We felt very lucky in finding them (a service provider actually knocked on our door). They are professional, service oriented and the price of packages are reasonably priced. Also if for any reason you are not pleased or if you accidentally forget to unlock the back gate (this happened to us once) all I needed to do was call and another service technician was dispatched for a convenient day. We have our property done every other month, but part of the service is if you should need them to come in on that down month you can call and they’ll schedule you an appointment. A wonderful company and one we plan on staying with for a long time!

2022-06-20Such friendly and professional service. In addition to general quarterly service we signed up for, we had several wasp nests and we are grateful the Moxie team got everything cleared. The trainee, Elizabeth, was also super professional! With several kiddos and a pet in our home, I’m usually a bit stressed with all the traffic at our home while having service provided; with this team, I was completely relaxed and the service was performed equally efficiently and effectively. Great job! With smiles too! We love the smiles! Definitely use Moxie for your pest control needs! Safe for kiddos and pets!

2022-04-12Ive been their service for nearly 2 years and their stuff works! I dont know how it does without all the serious poisons, but Im happy to not have to breathe poison in around my home. Their office staff and communication are terrific. Latest technician to arrive, Raul, was very thorough and friendly.

2022-07-21Today was our first experience with Moxie, Caleb stoped in first to our home to go over everything he was going to do and answer any questions or concerns I had. Not onlywas Caleb very informative and kind but also dang cool! He even took off his shoes with out being asked! I am seriously so impressed by him and his co workers whocame to help, Chris & Joseph K. Thank you Moxie for sending your best to help us with our issues. We are definitely planning on being repeat customers.

2022-04-27I have been using Moxie for over a year and I am very pleased with the service. They are very systematic in informing their customers when they will be at the house for service through text and calls. If we have a bug upswing due to weather changes, they always come back out to provide service to remediate the problem. The technicians are very polite and efficient. Caleb Walker was my technician today and did great job. Extremely polite and informative. We discussed the mosquitos in my courtyard and he treated the area immediately. I would recommend Moxie to be considered for your pest control company
