My stay at Fort Worth Navy Lodge is the best stay of all the lodging. There staff very professionals and cheerful. I have visited Fort Worth Navy Lodge for 10years and I enjoyed every stay over. You cant beat the outstanding view of the lake. Excellent job on the cleanest.
This is definitely one of the better Navy Lodges that is located next to the water. The room was spacious that had a small kitchenette with a bigger fridge as some of them only have a tiny fridge to maybe hold a few drinks. The exterior was nice and the staff were friendly only thing I noticed that was a negative was the mold growing on the shower vent. Other than that this was a great stay. It is also close to the Exchange and Commissary.
Nice hotel that offers good sized rooms that are recently updated. Rooms have a 2-burner stove, microwave, full size fridge, kitchen sink, dining room table for 3, 55 Samsung TV and a generous bathroom/vanity area, all rooms have either a balcony or a ground exit. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. This is one of the better hotels in the on-post lodging inventory.
Stayed here several times while visiting the DFW area. It is secured and the gates are manned 24/7. Approximately 15 minutes from the historic Fort Worth stockyards. Billy Bobs and Some of the best BBQ in the world. They offer a continental breakfast and the coffee is always on and hot. With prices being gouged in the downtown area. If you are active duty, reserve, guard or retired you will get a discount by staying here. The commissary is also just right down the street. The gas station has great prices on gas as well. If you’re in the area check it out the prices can’t be beat.
This is our 3rd day here. We moved from VA and are house hunting currently so the Navy Lodge is our home right now and we couldnt be more pleased. Very nice staff. Clean and spacious room with kitchenette. That helps tremoundesly because eating out gets expensive after a while. Everything is freshly renovated and feels like brand new. Playground right outside. Stunning view of a lake out front. Laundry in house only .75$ per load. (I payed 3$ at LaQuinta)Decent breakfast.. bagles, cereal coffee juice, fresh waffles and more. The only thing I noticed is that the carpet seems to be kind of dirty maybe residue from the renovations. But for all the other pros and the great price we are willing to overlook that. Will recommend this to anyone in need of a great hotel.
Rooms are really nice, but breakfast is continental were most Navy Lodges provide a better variety of food. No pool here which was disappointing. The near-by MWR pool had very limited hours which kept us from being able to use it. The daily rate is so cheap you really cant complain too much.
This is our second time staying here, and it is still just as nice as it was the first time. The first time, we were visiting family at Christmas, and it was beautifully decorated. This time we are just passing through to visit family in Oklahoma for Thanksgiving, and they have it decorated for fall. It is probably the nicest Navy Lodge I have stayed at.
Ive been to many Navy Lodges around the Globe but I like this one at JRB Fort Worth for the simplest of reasons. There is not many rooms but seems plenty for the demographics with regard to the area. Standard room with all the amenities, and Wow, the view is awesome. Also, the complimentary breakfast has all the standards features but also a big Texas Waffle! Yummy. Staff is very courteous and helpful. The location is not far from AAFES Exchange or Commissary. My family and I enjoyed staying here.
General manager is extremely rude!Upon checking in the manager asked me for my ID. I gave her my drivers license, she then proceeds to slam my ID down and said this is a military installation only military ID’s are accepted. After telling her I would appreciate it if she did not slam my ID down she then purposely slammed down my military ID. After that she proceeds to act like I don’t exist and tells the other guest in the group all the details of the property. Someone needs a lesson in true customer service!
Love going too this hotel any time Im in the DFW area we stay here!! Of course cos I have alot of family that live there so we go alot.. the room size it what I like the most, I wish the army would take a page out of the navy book. That is a room I could stay in if im moving, or in a location for a long period of time. Because of all the amenities it has.. yes dfw area is really close. But if you on any kind of budget you can buy food and make it yourself in your room. Where as the army you end up still spending money eating out. So I definitely like this hotel. Everytime Ive been home for a family reunion Ive stayed here. And probably will continue too stay here. Love the place!! Keep up the good work.

2022-06-17This place is always 10/10! The staff is friendly and quick, the rooms are immaculately cleaned and the breakfast is just enough. The room to price ratio is on point and you can’t beat the lake view. The ‘Lodge’ is absolutely the place to stay.

2022-04-11Since most people reading this review are probably comparing between the Fort Worth Navy Lodge and the Fort Worth Navy Gateway, Ill compare the two. We stayed during a PCS, but if I was going to do it again, I would pick the Gateway for a PCS and the Lodge for vacation. We stayed in the family suite and got a roll-away bed. We had plenty of room. The roll-away bed was not comfortable, but the regular beds were. The couch bed was actually painful to sleep on because it was an odd modular set up. I would recommend a thick mattress topper if you need to use the couch bed.Cooking was about what I would expect for a partial kitchen, do-able but not easy. The fridge size with its separate freezer compartment was much appreciated. The smoke alarms are *very* sensitive. Even shower steam can set them off. We set ours off once, and other people set theirs off three times, for a total of four times during our nearly two week stay. They have separate towels for the lake and there are lots of birds to see. The grass has pretty sharp prickles, so bring tweezers if your children prefer running around barefoot.Breakfast was fun at first, but too carb heavy as time went on. The healthiest options were apples and two-packs of pre-peeled hard boiled eggs. The kids loved the Texas shaped waffles. It wasnt as clean as I was expecting, but were coming from Japan, so maybe my standards are too high for a good comparison.
