After trekking through the Texas heat, this is the place to go to restore yourself. An oasis amongst the dunes of Austin, this restaurant has a wide variety of flavors, and they all slap (they are fantastic). If you want Indian food with real flavor, look no further, this is the place. We got 3 different appetizers-if something looks good but you dont recognize it, get it! It Will taste as good as it looks.
Me amd my three friends came here to have some indian food. We had chicken kadai kudi, mutton biriyani and chicken tanduri. It was good. But i also travelled to a lot of indian restaurents and i have had better. They were quick in serving food, it was a good thing i noticed. I took a desert namedfaluda. I did not like it. It was costly, but the taste is not any close to the cost.
One of the good Indian restaurant in Austin. We ordered paneer 65 ( it was just ok), chicken 555 ( very good one), special boneless chicken biriyani ( very good flavor), masala dosa ( just ok), one biriyani is good for 2 ppl. Special mention to their service, really good. One Mexican lady she always check around, everyone is really nice. We are really satisfied with their service and food. Next time we will order their tandoor or grilled items, i saw most of them are ordering.
Sitara is the best Indian restaurant I have been to. It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing spices, food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations. When we think about celebrations, Sitara is always our first option and it never disappoints. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted our mouth. From the starter to the dessert the quality and tastes of everything was outstanding, chicken 555, paneer tikka, paratha is the best food I have ever been served. Service was delightful and very professional. 10/10
Just went here for the first time, my partner and I absolutely loved the food. The staff were absolutely amazing! They were very nice and efficient, we didnt have to wait long at all for our food. The tables were clean and well kept and the music was wonderful! Ill definitely be coming back here again.
Ive been in a hunt for a good biryani in the ATX area, coming from bay area, the bar is set high. And finally found a place where the biryani is great! Did takeout and didnt try anything else but will be back. The biryani was great though - hyd style dum biryani, slightly lesser on the spice level but once we add the salan it gets just right. Plenty of meat in the biryani too. Place is a in a strip mall with a nice clean ambiance inside though i didnt sit in.Update: Since then we ate here onsite as well as did take out and each time the food was great!
I took my daughter to eat there. The food was good and the service exceptional! My daughter left her backpack there and didnt realize it until the next day. When I contacted the restaurant, they told me it was there and I could come get it even though they were not opened yet. The backpack had been safely cared for. Thank you, Sirata, for quality service!
This restaurant is amazing! The dining room was clean and the staff was very friendly. I tried the chicken tandoori with some nan and it was delicious. Perfect amount of seasoning and cooked to perfection. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to try some great Indian cuisine!
Liked the food here. Atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was great. If you are a fan of South Indian food, I would definitely recommend the lamb chikka, and the chicken majestic. The chicken majestic is simply amazing. It maybe just the post-covid rush to restaurants, but felt the tables were a bit too close for my comfort.
Im from the UK (so I know good curry) and I havent found a good place since I moved to the US in 2014. Until now! I ordered the butter chicken (mild) and naan. The chicken was tender and beautifully seasoned, the sauce thick and flavorful with a very gentle heat. The naan was light and flaky. One very happy Brit right now! I will definitely be trying more items on the menu. Highly recommend!
I ordered to go through google. While the food was hot, delicious, and spicy, I felt a bit cheated. I ordered extra meat for both me and my fiance, however I got about five pieces of meat and his goat curry had mostly bones. Again, delicious, just dont expect a big portion especially if you order to go.
We were a group of 6 and we came in for dinner . The food was outstanding we ordered a range of stuff from starters to main course veg and non veg. Just loved the food!!!! The staff was also polite and we were served our food quickly. Will surely recommend it to everyone!!!
It was our 1st time trying this restaurant and it was really good. It was super busy which is a good thing, so just be patient. The only negative thing I would say…the guy at the front was a little intense and did come off as rude…but was just stressed because they were so busy. I would have more than one person taking orders and getting takeout orders ready. Definitely would go back and recommend
Great, authentic cousine. Menu was extremely irritating to navigate with the scan code option only to view the menu and not organized well for a scan code menu. Options are overwhelming to search for what you want unless you truly know ALL Indian fare. Hope they get a better and more descriptive menu for customer satisfaction, or printed paper menu with dish ingredients for those who request it. Do your legwork and be prepared to ask questions on your preferred dishes. Also, BYOD (beer, wine, juice, etc) if you want. They give you 1 regular size bottle of water but youll want more if youre thirsty. Spicy is spicy so dont overdo it if you want to taste your food. Excellent selection, great atmosphere, true Indian fare at a reasonable price so you can get various courses. Large portions allow 2 people to share meals or plenty to bring home. As world travelers we are used to a variety of cuisines. We usually ask servers for their signature dishes which tend to be amazing most of the time. Mutton and chicken on point. They also serve you complimentary papadums with dip upon arrival another plus!
Best Indian food in Austin. I’ve tried them all and am pretty uptight with my Indian food standards. This place hits every time. Their paneer dishes are excellent, malai kofta is awesome, even the dal is tasty. They are consistently so busy and whilewait times can get long. It’s worth it.Pro tip: Indian food heats up beautifully at home. Call them and place your order 45 min in advance for pickup and you’ll have an amazing dinner at home
Had been there this afternoon as we had long time waiting for the table in other famous Indian restaurant. But we regret choosing this place . Ordered Gobi Manchuria, chicken 65 and chicken biryani . Gobi Manchuria was spoiled and smells like old food. I had very bad stomach after returning home and still have nausea …. definitely not gonna return here …..
One of my favorite restaurants in the Austin area. Service is always good, and the food is excellent. At our last visit we ordered malai kofta, paneer tikka ,veg biryani. They are happy to adjust the spice level for your tastes and portions are very generous Highly recommend! Great service 👍🏼👍🏼
Their tandoori chicken is a good starter for a nice meal, for the main course, this place serves one of the better Rogan josh I have had in my recent memory and to end it all the shahi tukda will leave you with a sweet taste for the night. To top all that, the staff is friendly and courteous, making the experience a lot more enjoyble. The place has kept itself alive in the tough times of pandamic, and does really deserves a visit.
I ordered food for my housewarming party for 100 people. Shekar who took our order on phone was very cooperative and pleasant. The food was great and delivered on time despite a short notice of two days. The guests were happy and highly enjoyed the delicious menu. Thanks Sitara.
We had chicken chettinad and chicken dum biryani and veg pulav as well. The texture , taste and the aroma was perfect. Will recommend to anyone who would like to enjoy a south Indian cuisine. The chicken 65 had a chipotle southwest with a blend of ground jalapeños. We loved it.Big shout out to the cook Bala. He nailed it! Perfect blend of Indian spices and the spice levels.
I have moved to Austin 6 months back. Have tried multiple Indian restaurants, Sitara by far is better than all the Indian restaurants in city.Have ordered food for 2 events. The quality doesn’t come down when ordered for catering as well. The price is very reasonable for the quality and taste of the food.Must try itemsMutton dum biryaniGoat sukkaBoneless chicken biryaniChicken 555Gobi Manchurian
The guy who serves the food is literally putting his finger inside the biryani to hold the pot ! Really?????I ordered shrimp biryani and they gave me 6 pcs of shrimp and whole lot of Biryani rice. It was not proportional at all.My fren had ordered roti and Paneer curry , they brought the curry first and never brought the roti for ~20 mins and the curry was cooled down, so had to take the curry home by canceling the roti order ( unpleasant experience)The staff is very rude , we wanted to talk to the manager and they weren’t responding at all. No apologies for the delay in food!!!!!Please don’t take people for granted and maintain some etiquette!!!! These people don’t deserve to run a restaurant!!!
Worst service ever got for a birthday party!!!We ordered food for birthday party. The person who took the order showed so much attitude while taking the order itself and when the order is delivered, it’s full of flop. For the full tray chicken briyani, only less than 10 pieces were there and We were totally ashamed infront of guests as they were eating only rice.Chappathi was like papadam with lots of oil. We didn’t expect this kind of food.Veg biriyani was totally dry.Raitha quantity was also very very less.We insisted please don’t compromise on quality.Still total flop. We don’t worry about the lost money but we worry a lot for the bad food experience by the guests.Very much disappointed and will never refer or go to this place again.
Ordered:* Butter Chicken - chicken was like crazy hard. We always go to Sangam Chettinad and never disappointed. They have the best butter chicken so far. First time trying here at Sitara and totally disappointed* Chicken Biriyani - good, loved it* Mutton Biriyani - good, loved it* Butter Nans - crazy hard and difficult to chew
Nice place. Staff was courteous. Food was really nice. Very balanced spices and taste. Loved the Tandoori Chicken. Dum Biryani was also good. Naans were soft and tasty. My kids loved their fries and they were quite a decent size of serving.Would recommend to anyone who loves Indian Cuisine. We will definetely be going back to try more of their dishes.
I loved the Biryani (Sitara) from this place, this is one of my favorite place in Austin for Biryani. I have ordered chicken Majestic, chicken dum Biryani and chicken Tandoori. All the items was amazing.I will strongly recommend this place for great food, service, hygiene, friendly staff, Biryani and other food items .. Awesome service 👍🏼👍🏼
Definitely won’t deserve 4.5. Servings take more time. Soups definition changed here, they were made of masala water. Chicken 65 quality was worst, it felt like 3 days old chicken. Chicken drumsticks and apollo fish were okay. We got a brush string on top of a Naan. Biriyani isn’t authentic I can only taste salt in it. Kothu parota should be named as pepper parota.
This is Austin’s Super awesome Indian food Restaurant. I almost go every week. My favourite is tandoori Pomfret , chicken majestic , Mutton dum biriyani .And yes, all their food is extraordinary. Like the staff there, super friendly and quick. Recommend everyone to try it🙂
This was the best Indian restaurant Ive ever been too. The food was obviously well prepared and tasted very fresh. Staff was so nice and friendly and helped us make our selections with patience. We would go back every week if we lived in this city. So glad we stopped in!
The food was great. Being fairly new they do maintain what it takes for the business to be successful. The place was clean, there were lot of options for Vegetarians and non vegetarians alike and the food tasted great. Hopefully they maintain the standard for years to come. The place was very crowded as well on a Sunday afternoon, so it does get busy at times.
I loved the Biryani from this place, this is one of my favorite place in Austin for Biryani.I have ordered chicken 555,chicken dum Biryani and ismail bhai mutton biryaniRecommend this place for great service, hygiene , friendly staff, Biryani and other food as well👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
We went there for lunch, very nice dining area. We ordered items likemutton soup, punugulu, cut mirchi , chicken 65, ckn 555 mutton biryani, chicken biryani and desserts every item was made perfect. Guys who waited on us knows everything and helped us ordering. keep up guys😘😘😘😘
Delicious, good quality, affordable Indian food! A huge variety of dishes from Northern Indian, Southern India, vegetarian and meats. We got the malai kofta, lamb roganjosh, naan, and kothu roti. All were delicious and well priced.Ill definitively be making this place my regular spot.
This was one of the best restaurants i have ever been, here it makes you feel like youre not sure whether you went out or you came home and confuses you. if you think both then youre hooked. they got some really tasty menu and awesome dessert at the end which i can never ever forget in my life. thanks to this place sure gonna suggest to my friends.
This restaurant is phenomenal in customer service. I placed a pick up order, and when I called to add an item to the order they were very accommodating despite it being only a few minutes until close. The staff is very friendly, and the food is very good. I will definitely be coming here again.
The restaurant staff was kind of bizzare. The dude in the glasses literally insisted and made us give the restaurant a 5 star review and he wouldnt let us leave, kind of begging us to do that on our phone right there. I have never seen that anywhere. The food was half decent.
My friend and I went for lunch (first time). They were playing Indian music, TV was showing some Indian show so it made it more authentic which I appreciated. We ordered Gobi Manchurian, which ive never had, but my friend who had been to India said it was really good and it reminded him of his time there. Spice level was hot, but not too crazy. I ordered Navaratan Khorma, I asked the lady what was in it and if it was savory or sweet, but she couldnt give me an answer. She said she was new to the job. She was attentive though and sweet. All the staff was. I still ordered the Navaratan Khorma with Garlic Naan and I loved it. They gave me rice with the dish cuz it is a curry and last but not least I had their Masala Chai. I wish they had given me more!! It was soo good. Not sweet, which is the way I like it. Lots of other places add too much sugar. All, in all, I will definitely go back.
I placed my order via Uber Eats and ordered a Paneer biryani and got a vegetable biryani instead. Please be respectful next time and cancel order if you don’t have item instead of making customer wait for 20 minutes and at end moment declare you are out of the ordered dish and replace it with a cheaper alternative.
Rating the restaurant before even tasting the food. Their take out service is pathetic. I ordered food well in advance and was told to come in 30 mins. I went 45 mins later and was told it will take another 10 mins. They made me wait an hour after that to get me the food and no apology whatsoever. Irrespective of the taste, I am not coming back to the restaurant again.
Sitara is by far my most favorite Indian restaurant in Austin. Ive had good experiences most visits, but the last two visits have been nothing short of unacceptable. UPDATE: The restaurant owner called me and made things right with me. I am very content with his efforts to keep my business. I really appreciate it!Food is ah-mazing, authentic and very rich in flavor. I love the Tiki Masala, Butter Chicken, goat byriany and the garlic/butter nun is off the chain.I recommend this restaurant to everyone I can, Ive been coming to this restaurant for almost three years, and Im looking forward to the many years to come. Thank you!
It was just ok.The paneer biryani was bad. The rice portion was ok but the paneer tasted like dry leather. The Hakka Noodle were decent but I’ve definitely had betterThe fried chicken had no saltThe chicken curry was decentOverall, I don’t think I’ll be going back anytime soon tbh
Amazing food after a long time 😍 We were tired of having food at one good restaurant for a long time. Finally Sitara happened. We went there for dinner and the food was amazing. Yeah my wife complained briyani was bit spicy but come on, what is Indian food if it doesnt make you cry 😁 You should try the lamb chops. It was so juicy and the flavor was just amazing 😊 Finally we finished with the falooda. Oh yum, it was a sweet finish to a great dinner ☺️
We had worked with Sitara to customize our wedding dinner menu and they delivered the best quality food we could have imagined. Our guests were asking… where’s the food from! Sitara team was professional during the entire process and went above and beyond to ensure the food was prepared and delivered in the optimal serving temperature. Thank you Akhil, Shiva and the entire team. This is an Austin gem :)
A little far from my community but when ever I have craving for really good Indian food this is my 1st go to place. I have eaten quite a lot of times and the food is always delicious. Perfect consistency and generally this is one such restaurant my family devours without leftovers. Finger liking good 👍
We ordered for a team lunch! So filling, so flavorful! They did not lie about it being spicy, although we would definitely try the spicier version. Baby mild was perfect for those not as keen of spice. Garlic naan was delicious and very filling, they do not shy away of how much they give you. We ordered delivery and everything was perfect. All my team members said they would 100% get this again.
This is 3rd time I got items missing from delivery so had to come here and write a review. Good food is one thing, but end to end customer service is what should get you 5 stars. Giving 1 star for repeated occurrence. Uber guy had to wait 40 mins picking up the order.
Edit: The next day. As I stated in my original review, available below, I said I love, love, love the food but I also said I hate, hate, hate the service and that these guys have to held accountable. (This has happened numerous times, not just on the most recent visit.) I barely got home with the food when someone from New Sitara contacted me via phone and text. We texted for about half an hour, and I will say whomever I talked to stood up and immediately embraced accountability. He apologized, profusely, asked me for another chance to make it right, told me the steps he was going to take. He said he would refund the cost of the meal. I told him getting a free meal next time or a refund this time was not my objective and please not to do so. In an event, his determination, his dedication to the restaurants mission, and his embracing the customer in a difficult situation led me to changing my rating and to add this edit.If it was a food only rating, it would be 5-plus stars. On off days it might be 4.5 -- and weve tried nearly every entree and appetizer on the menu over the years. New Sitara is, by far, the best Indian restaurant in North Austin and surrounding areas. This is why Ive kept going back despite my issues with the service. Last night just broke me.Im only dinging New Sitara one star because of the service issues over the years. I take reviewing any establishment, especially a local one, very seriously as I know the owners and staff work hard and deserve customer understanding, especially during the difficult days of the last two years.New Sitara stood up, owned the issues I mentioned and we discussed. And for that I offer applause and praise, just as I was critical when something didnt go well (again, over multiple occasions, not just one visit). I look forward to returning.>I love, love, love the food here but hate, hate, hate the service and they’ve broken me. I’m done. Most recent order: two entrees, one appetizer, and naan. That’s it. I know they’re busy, especially on the weekends. Placed order: It will be ready in 40 minutes. Based on past experiences, I figure minimum of 45 to 60 minutes. Give them the benefit of the doubt. I wait 35 additional minutes. Add it up to 75/80 minutes for a simple order. What makes it even worse is this isn’t the first time this has happened, or the second, or the third, or even the fourth. I’ve been so patient with these guys, especially considering I’m spending $50 to $100 each time I order. Unbelievable. I know one poor review won’t make a difference, but these guys have to be held accountable — more than “We’re sorry” and “It won’t happen again.” Guys, you’re not listening. THIS KEEPS HAPPENING. No more. I’m done.
I can second this experience - After trekking through the Texas heat, this is the place to go to restore yourself.
I have ordered family pack goat biryani & they served only rice there are no mutton pieces. I have waited for 50 mins for this food. And also ordered chai they just pre-heated chai in microwave right in front of me such a dumb service I have never seen. Worst service & also waste of money.
Dined in on a Friday night. It wasn’t too busy so we got quick attention and service. We enjoyed all the food we ordered and felt like the value for cost was good. Everyone had extra to take home! In my experience at Indian restaurants that is the typical serving size. Being my first time here I tried the classics but next time I may try something different. Happy to go back!
Authentic Indian taste, we ordered Tandoori chicken, Lamb chop masala and butter chicken. One of the few places to use clay oven for Tandoori items, not to mention the super soft Ras Malai.I visited pre covid for lunch buffet and that was awesome as well, highly recommend.
This restaurant has exquisite food and kind staff. This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide range of food options and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.
I came here for online pick up order. I asked for my name and he replied back the order is not ready. After making me wait for almost 15 minutes, he handed me the order which was sitting there in front of him for long time. Without even saying sorry he was laughing with criticizing and making fun with other worker there. Please respect customers. Worst pick up experience. U professional staffs
Felt very well greeted by the owner and the staff of the restaurant from the first day my family and I went to the restaurant. The food was amazing and the staff showed concern about whether or not I enjoyed what I was eating since it was my first time in Austin, as well as my first time in the store. My 2 sons love the food and want to keep going back.
We like the restaurant a lot. Have been to this place many times. Never disappoints. The owners are very polite and helpful. We even catered from this place for an event. The dishes were of good quality, were delicious and most importantly they were right on time and schedule without needing multiple followups. Good food, polite demeanor, good prices and a variety of menu items to select from. We would definitely visit again. One of the few restaurants in Austin that doesn’t disappoint when it comes to Indian food.
My family and I went to this restaurant for the first time and fell in love with the Chicken and Mutton Biryani, as well as the Tandoori Chicken. Ever since then, we make weekly trips to go back and get food from Sitara. Highly recommend trying out this restaurant! Great food! Excellent customer service too.
Went for buffet around 12 and came out at closing time around 2.30pm. Even though the place is small but they have wide variety of food starters like dosa, idli, Patni puri, chicken biryani, mutton biryani and vegetable biryani, goat paaya, several different curry and to top that they have different sweets and ice cream. One can have gala time experiencing all the delicacy. Would love to visit this place again. Price is 15.99$ for adult.
Thank you so much New Sitara Restaurant Manager and the kitchen team to cook such delicious food at my birthday celebration.Every food item from the appetizers to the main course was cooked & served live was fresh and great in taste. All my friends loved the Veg and Non-Veg biryanis too.Great taste and very good service.Arrived on time too.Looking forward to order from you guys on other parties too.Highly recommend this restaurant.
The restaurant has a nice ambience but looks like they haven’t taken down the valentine’s day decorations yet 😛 We tried south Indian food and it was pretty good except for the higher salt levels on certain appetizers. The service was on-time. Would definitely appreciate if the person helping us with our order smiled a little bit... seemed like they were not really concerned. If you’re trying out Indian food and are out of options you could definitely try it out.
The food here is absolutely amazing! Some other indian restaurants offer different spice levels through Uber Eats, but not this one, so a disclaimer is that it can be a bit too spicy some times. Whenever I put my orders in through Uber Eats, the food is ready super fast. The service at the restaurant is not great, the staff is helpful but not very friendly.
I visited on recommendation from friends. I ordered the chilly chicken and I felt was comparatively better than other places. The mutton biriyani was total disaster as it had no flavor of biriyani. I specifically asked about their recommendation on what to order and I certainly did not like biriyani. Also the guy who attended my table was really horrible. I am not sure why he looked frustrated and acted weird if I ask any question. I asked him a question and he was rude to reply. Please replace or get someone to attend to customers who can answer questions. I also read a review here who says the guy on phone was bad with answering questions and I get a feeling its the same guy
One of the best Indian food places, if not the best in town. Biryani, Tandoor wings, cut mirchi are some of the many items that are always done to perfection. Due to the pandemic, haven’t had an opportunity to visit this place lunch but I continue to order takeout regularly.
Food tastes like authentic indian. I observed the rich detailing of the recipes are well maintained. All the spices are added in a perfect measure and no surprise the food’s soo delicious. The staff are so friendly and are working towards building customer satisfaction. I also liked how the staff are open to/paying attention to customer specific needs.
This restaurant is one of the best in austin. The food was delicious. Both veg and non-veg has variety of choices and specially the biryanis were THE BEST.Great customer service. Will definitely recommend my family and friends to visit and enjoy the food.Hope the taste and service stays the same forever, we will be back soon !!!Thank you.
The food was excellent, the biryanis especially. The flavor and spice was balanced extremely well. Definitely recommend you try the chicken biryani. Nice ambiance too! Most importantly, the service is amazing, very kind people who show great hospitality. Great restaurant. :)
Have reduced the tray size and quantity for the family pack substantially.. very disappointed..Thank you for your prompt response, its not just us, I have checked with few others, they have all felt the same.Of course your staff wouldnt agree of reducing the size even if you did. But I do have to say, your food does taste good. Its because of that liking I am even more disappointed with the size reduction.
The management lacks basic customer service. They mess up the orders and give your order to others and make you wait more than the promised pick up time. The person who takes orders is never friendly and is so rude. I really don’t understand what has gotten in to his head. They started off the business well but with this attitude I bet it won’t last long enough. Either change the one who takes the order or you will be replaced by someone soon. I wish there is a rating lower than 1.
I went to pick an online order today 04/29/22 at 6 pm and the person who was at the cashier wearing in a blue shirt was rude, please place more friendly people and that way you will not lose customers, my recommendation with other people on that place it would be bad, thanks
We recently visited with a group of 10 foodies and tasted several dishes at New Sitara. Amazing chef and service ! we have ordered mutton biryani, hakka noodles, Kadai chicken, chicken tikka, naans and some vegetarian dishes. Mutton biryani is outstanding, tender meat and very flavorful! my other favorite is garlic naan.. well done Chef ! Chicken tikka was very well made tender, very well marinated and rightly cooked ! kadai chicken (gravy is yummy) and other veg dishes were excellent. We conveyed our appreciation to chef then and there itself :) . Despite the heavy rush over the weekend, the service was prompt, courteous and swift!! Much more value than the price we paid elsewhere.. looking forward to visiting them again.
This place is really new and good. The people out here are very kind. Most importantly they have very tasty biriyani that comes with a boiled egg (which is unlikely for many places that I have tried out). The service is pretty timely and overall, it was a great experience.
Came here with my friend and we ordered much of what was on the menu, including tandoor, lamb chops, several curries, and 2 kinds of dhal. They were very helpful about my food intolerances and helping me find amazing things I could eat. The service was fast and they gave free bottled water. I am very happy with my experience. Thank you so much!
Bad customer service. I tried to place an order for 12 people and they ask me to call after 9:30PM for small orders. Next day when I made the order for 12 people he asked to take an half tray of the item. And just to confirm, I asked him how many people can eat from half tray, he says 10 people. And he is getting irritated by the questions that I ask. When I host a party at my house, I want to make sure all my guests are getting enough food, so I have to be sure of the quantity and item.If the guy attending the phone cannot answer the questions asked by customer, better replace him with some who is more friendly with the customers.
I used to like their goat biryani and have been ordering for the past few years. Recently I ordered goat biryani family packs on a Sunday evening for a gathering. The meat pieces had a weird fatty taste as if the meat is not fresh so nobody liked it. Hope they improve on
The food here was amazing. I got the Tandoori chicken and could not stop eating it. Their garlic naans were also fantastic. Our group had several members with allergies and the staff was very accommodating. Service was very quick and the restaurant was very well maintantined. I very much enjoyed the experience and would 10/10 recommend.

2022-04-11Service was not so good. They have welcomed with a complimentary appadam which tastes good.I asked them whether the Sharbat taste was similar to telugu style and they told yes. But its taste more like mint. Also their Irani Chai, its more like a water, better make it with more concentration of milk rather than water.Their Fried rice was delicious and biryani was okay.

2022-05-06We moved to this area from Illinois and have been missing our favorite authentic Indian restaurant. After eating at New Sitara, it’s safe to say we have a new favorite. The food was fresh and delicious! Our waitress was super sweet and the restaurant was clean. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for good Indian cuisine.

2021-09-18Visited for the first time, ordered chicken Hakka Noodle and Mutton Biryani. Hakka noodle was decent, not the best, could use more oil and didn’t like the chicken quality.Mutton was tender and well cooked but biryani sucked big time with no flavor/aroma (more like plain basmati rice) and the portion was small (not sufficient for one person), service was fast but food quality was disappointing

2021-11-07It’s my first time to this restaurant after gone through reviews of multiple reviewers.Ambience -The ambience is good with lighting and seating.Service -No one was there to greet us when we stepped in , it may be peak hours to the restaurant guys. Waiter approached us and took an order for us and we asked for suggestions in best non veg food. He did well, thanks for that.Food -We got our complementary Papads with green sauce and red sauce. It was good.We ordered couple of veg and non veg dishes. Chicken Dum biryani , mutton biryani , veg biryani , Schez veg fried rice and Apollo fish. We waited around 15 -20 mins to get our food onto my table. The food was fresh and delicious. My preference among them is chicken Dum biryani than mutton / goat Dum biryani. No salt in the Apollo fish and too much of Food color RED.we added salt to Apollo fish then, it tastes better.Paneer biryani and veg fried rice both are not so great , Hard paneer pieces, too much food color and tasteless fried rice. It could be better. At the end , the waiter took our feedback , He’s more polite.Over all a good place to have NON VEG food.

Please get out and support this business. Extremely friendly staff and the food….it’s gonna bring me back for more!

2022-05-12I ordered Chicken Manchow soup !! It not only looks unpleasant but the taste of the soup was really bad more than it’s looks! From no angle it looks like Manchow soup. I had the similar experience with previously ordered Mutton biryani- very pale flavoured rice with less mutton pieces. I really liked their biryani one year ago but over period of time their quality and quantity both have deteriorated.
