Newport Village has been my home for a few years and it has been nothing but great living here. I have lived at a few other properties in the area and none compare!! This apartment complex is tucked away from all the noise and traffic which makes it quiet pretty much at all hours. I love being able to drive less than 5 minutes to everything. Its in a great area of town! The office staff is always friendly and helpful. Maintenance always takes care of work order requests in a timely manner as well. I love my home and do not plan on leaving unless I have to. Newport Village is a perfect place to call home.

Management actually took the time to investigate an issue id had that made getting an apartment damn near impossible... I had an arrest record but 0 convictions. For those who dont know its the conviction that disqualifies you, not allegations that were dismissed... after seeing my charges had been dismissed 4 years prior they accepted my application and 1 year lease..They were extremely clean and punctual with maintenance issues ... I had absoluty 0 negative interactions with the management, however, 1 notable thing would be the uppity nabors on the other side of the fence...I walked through their area to get to the store quicker and someone literally followed me while calling police. But As soon as they verified I live on the property the police told her not to bother them or me again..Bottom line is this place, crystal in particular, are as professional as they come.

I lived at Newport Village for about 4 years. I would highly recommend for any college students who attend McMurry (as i did). The commute is short - youre very close to the school. Its the only nicer apartment complex close to the university, in my opinion! Not to mention it is gated and safe! I lived in both the smaller one bedroom and the larger one bedroom units. Both were perfect.The leasing staff and maintenance crew are GREAT! I see negative reviews listed - dont look too far into them. Most of the negative reviews are situations that could have been prevented by the tenant...Just saying.Thank you Newport Village for keeping me safe and comfortable!

I lived at Newport Village for about 4 years and unfortunately had to move out of Abilene for a job transfer. The property is always well maintained. They have gone through a few different maintenance technicians but always took care of any requests I had. I loved having my own parking space assigned to me that was pretty close to my apartment. I was surprised to see that most of my deposit was returned to me since most apartments take most of it. This property is also gated and peaceful.If I ever move back to Abilene I will be back to Newport! Best Apartments in town!

Newport is a great place to live. This complex is very quiet and hidden but close to everything in town. The property manager Crystal, is very professional and kind. I plan to stay here until I have to leave Abilene. You wont be disappointed!

-0 recommendedPoor maintenance of apartments and common areas.the pool only once I saw it clean, there were wasps and dog droppings everywhere, when I finished the 6 month contract I left there, they charged me for cleaning the carpet, but when they gave me the apartment that carpet is full of animal hairs.the stove and the windows are old, when you open the doors the windows sound, the thermostat never worked and also old.

Me and my children have been residing here for over a year with a month to month rent after my lease. when i first moved here we received a small plastic package and a few mail for the previous resident and has been sitting in the back corner of my apartment in the built in shelves, and forgotten about it due to unpacking our stuff and putting together our bed frames and other furnitures since i bought all of my stuff brand new in moving to this apartment.i dont normally stand at the mailbox and sort out my mail and i bring all my mail from my mailbox to my unit. Today i received a call from the office regarding a package delivered for the previous resident, which i received yesterday from the parcel locker last night, today i was planning to take it to the office after i log out from work. i brought everything to the office sealed/unopened including the small plastic package and few mail from last year that i found at the shelves while packing due to we are moving out, i took a picture to show it is not open, just in case.Later today, a police officer came knocking on my door questioning about the package and mail i received. the police stated that the office personnel told the previous resident that their mail are open that is why they called the police to investigate.I am glad that i have photos of the package and mail in front of the office bench and everything is sealed/unopened. i took this photos before the office personnel came out and talked to me about a postal error.I am an Honest Nurse, i work at home doing Medical Management and my salary is California rate. i told the police that i am not interested in anybodys package due to i am self sufficient and make money for myself and my children.I told the office that i am very sorry for forgetting the mail from last year and told them to tell the previous resident that i am sorry.Additional: follow up call after posting this review from newport village office personnel for clarifying that you did not tell the previous resident that their mail is open as I was told the reason for the police officer being here.Thank you for clarifying.

I have loved living at Newport Village. The management keeps the property cleaned up and is quick to work with any issues you have. The community is was just what I was wanting. Newport Village is a wonderful place to call home.

Best place in Abilene Texas. An oasis in this desert. The only place I actually liked living at. Apartments are not my first choice, and the couple I have been to before were horrific. The only reason I wont be staying is military orders. Beyond that its the place to be.

Just save yourself the headache and don’t lease here. Sneezing the wrong way might result in them calling you almost every day. The front office lacks any understanding and then they have the audacity to tell you they will take care of you’re concerns and you end up waiting weeks for maintenance to come and help(if you’re lucky) or they just done come at all. THE CEILING OF OUR SHOWER CAME CAVING DOWN ON ME AS I STEPPED OUT. MY MASTER BEDROOM IS A FURNACE. WE HAVE FANS AND THE AC FULL BLAST AND ITS STILL NOT ENOUGH. I was very hopeful when I first read the reviews but I am very dissatisfied.We will be leasing somewhere else as soon as our lease is up.
