Didnt want to get new tires but Houston freeways arent kind. Both passenger tires were blown out at the sidewall on the Beltway going through the tolltag lane. Only noticed the front was damaged after driving 30 miles to work and NTB. RUN FLATS SAVED ME AGAIN. I purchased Tire warranty when I bought the rear tires so that helped eased the pain.
They honored the tire policy by doing a free rotation. They recommended replacing the rear brakes pads (which needed it), but also recommended replacing the rotors and flushing the brake fluid which was not needed. They would have charged me almost $500 for the brake work, but when I took it to the dealership the next day, they did only what was needed (brake pads) and charged me $223. So be sure you know whats needed when you go in and dont blindly accept their recommendations.
I have always enjoyed the service my family receives at this NTB. We drive Jeep Wranglers, and they have some guys there that love Jeeps also. In particular, we have received service a lot from a very skilled mechanic there, Luke Moser. He has gone over and above taking care of our vehicles!
Absolute joke-purchased new tires, after installation TPMS not reading on one tire and another tire was at twice the recommended pressure.Tech forget to replace sensor and didnt check pressure of tires.Got home and one of the tires was mounted backwards and had to take it back on a Saturday.I can only imagine how many customers are driving around with dangerous installs.I highly recommend not using this business.
Waiting for more than three hrs for oil change that I could have get it done in less than 15minutes at oil express. A big mistake that I came here and wanted my day off. Even now it is not ready. I was told the mechanic went to lunch and I have to wait for him to reset my service notice. This is rediculous!!!
I had a tire replaced and they did a great job. They were efficient and all were nice. They gave me exactly what i needed without trying to up-sell me. The manager was especially helpful and cares if you have a good experience there and makes sure the job is done right! I would go back!
Worst. Experience Ever. 2 hours and 15 minutes to fix a flat with slovenly performance and stripping the lug bolt on a tire that didnt need to be touched. This free flat tire repair will probably cost me hundreds of dollars to repair. See the pictures. The 2 hour and 15 minute wait was with an appointment.
It’s my first time at NTB. Jermaine and the crew really took care of me. From the second I walked in the door I knew I walked into the right place. I was greeted quickly and nicely. They assessed my problems with my tire and gave me an accurate and professional quote of what I needed, WITHOUT trying upsell me. The experience was pleasant and the work was excellent. I recommend them to anyone looking for great service.
Don’t get an oil change at this facility! My son took his car for an oil change and they didn’t secure the engine cover correctly. (Mind you, it wasn’t hanging when he took it). He went back the next day because it was dragging. They told him it was damaged and there were no screws (well of course there are no screws, you didn’t secure it)...this was an expensive fix for me. I put in a claim with their customer service and the Manager put his spin on it so they are not taking responsibility...it’s a “he said” “he said” situation. In this case the Manager is right and telling the truth and the Customer is not!!! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I will never frequent this establishment again!!
Went for oil change, took 5 min to someone to even acknowledge that i was in the store, employees have zero positive attitude, talk like they are forced to be there. Was told it will take 30 minutes for oil change, car wasn’t ready passed 2 hours. My first and my last time doing business with NTB.
NTB did an oil change for my daughter, and they did not put oil back into the car. I fixed the problem and went to the store today to let them know. They told me that there was no way that happened because they check and double check that. I told him I would know if 5 quarts of oil leaked onto my driveway. I asked him to tell the manager and the techs so it would not happen to anyone else. He began screaming at me because he did not want the other customers to hear.
I’ve been coming to NTB for as long as I can remember and every time the associates and mechanics are very generous and helpful. Since I am not that knowledgeable about car services they are very patient and polite while explaining to me what’s wrong and what needs to be fixed. Super helpful! 10/10 would recommend for those who need service!!
I made an appointment here to get oil change and tire rotation done. I was told it would take 30-45 minutes to get it done. I waited in the lobby and after 45 mins, they told me its going to take more time. They just put the car on the lift to show as if they are doing something, but didnt touch it until I asked for status update. Overall I waited for 1.5 hours for a simple oil change. This is the last time Im ever coming here.Do not waste your time coming here. Plenty of oil change places around this area.
This was shocking experience for me.My alternator needed replacement. I went to missouri city NTB and asked them for new alternator. They said it would cost me $730 (something). I agreed and paid the amount when work was done. 13 months later my alternator again went bad. I went back to NTB and they said I was out of warranty. I thought new alternator have more years of warranty on it. They wanted to charge me 650 to replace it again. Having bad experience before I went to my trusted mechanic( few miles away) and he checked and said the alternator that was replaced by NTB was remanufactured. He removed the part and showed me. This was shocking. I did not asked NTB for remanufactured alternator. Remanufactured alternator costs less than $100 and they charged me more than 700. I am never going back again to this NTB.
Came in yesterday and was told everything that needed to be done. Made an appointment for 7:30 the following morning and was assured the parts would be here, my car would be worked on first and I would be out in a couple of hours. 3 hours later they received the part from the warehouse thats 10 minutes away and should have been there the night before. Ive now been here close to 4 1/2 hours and theyre estimating another hour at least. I asked why they didnt call to tell me not to come in until the part arrived. Im sorry was the response. 😡
EDIT: When you call up there to speak to a manager he is constantly at lunch. On Saturday and Sunday when I called he was at lunch for 4 hours. Just seems like they dont want to slightly help you.They claim they patched a tired two separate times but both time the tire was flat immediately after leaving there. They also kept the caps that go on the tires. The manager Denver is so unhelpful and so condescending that he shouldnt be in any sort of management position. I shouldnt have to fight with them EVERY SINGLE TIME I go there!
The guys are great that work there but the have primitive tools to work with. I always like to use them but they are way behind in tools. Discount tire has state of the art equipment and always get it done because NTB can’t service what they sell. Pretty sad that you sell wheels and tires of a specific size but can’t mount of balance them. The employees try but they lack proper tool. Get it together and stop being cheap.
I never leave reviews for businesses because I just dont have the time, but I am still bothered hours later b/c of the last minute while leaving the shop. I left wondering if I got unnecessary work done, which fine...I can accept. Maybe my car did need the work. But that last minute while exiting the shop was the worst treatment I had ever experienced. I am already annoyed. I originally came a couple days ago for new tires, but they found additional problems with the car. A $650 initial cost then came to an additional $800 in estimated repairs which I came back today to get done. I agreed b/c I did a quick Google search and one of the repairs did seem to be a fair estimate. Then I find out that the repair I looked up no longer needed to be completely done (only part of it), so it would be cheaper. Great. However, they found something else that was leaking and needed to be fixed. This brought the total cost of repairs for today from $800 to over $1100. But I dont have time to get a second opinion or to research it. I have to get this done today and get back to work. I accepted that maybe my car legitimately needed the work, and Id rather have a running car. I still cant help feeling taken advantage of, being frustrated, and annoyed, but wanting to get it over with. Its raining, and Im about to leave. They left my car in the garage so I wouldn’t get wet, and I thank the guy. I go to my car and its 2nd in line, so I ask one of the guys if I should back out, and he says no. Hell move it. So I load my stuff in the car and have to adjust my seats. By the way, Im really short and the seats are automatic. So while I am sitting in the car, the guy is already behind me and honking the horn. OK, be a decent human being and honk the horn a couple of times to let me know you are waiting on me to move. But no! The guy is unrelentingly blaring the horn, holding it down until I move. He cannot even wait 15-20 seconds for my seat to slowly move up. I CANNOT EVEN REACH THE DAMN PEDALS TO TURN ON THE ENGINE, AND I AM CUSSING BEHIND THE WHEEL BECAUSE THIS JERK WONT LET OFF THE HORN. I am so startled and in disbelief that once I am able to reach the pedals and turn on the engine, I pull out of the garage and turn off so fast, I almost damage my car in the rain. I will never return to this NTB or recommend this place to anyone. After spending nearly $2000 at this business, you would think they would be gracious enough to treat a customer a little bit better.
I have had issues with this place in the past but this time I Ordered 2 tires from tire rack, the tires were 2 days late, I , came in at 8.30 in AM and was done by 10.30. They were courteous. Price for installation was $35 with taxes.Just saw the bad reviews so wanted to share my experience.
Worst experience ever! Would give 0 stars if possible! Called 2 days prior and made a 230 appointment to have 4 tires installed which I had purchased online. It should take about 30 minutes. Two hours later I had to ask what was going on. Desk guy said they had overlapping appointments. I asked why I wasnt told on the phone, he had no answer. Avoid this place like the plague. Worst customer service Ive experienced
I have been a faithful customer for years, no longer. This particular location was good enough to fix the problem the location close to my house created on my boyfriends truck...and quickly. They stripped part of the oil filter on his 1 ton as well as my car as well. I am less than pleased.
I went to NTB today just to get a tire checked because the tire pressure comes on about once a week. I was told it would take about 45 minutes until they can look at it. Two hours later my car was still sitting in the parking lot. All I needed to know is if the tire was bad or if it was a nail. I would have been okay if they told me that it was going to be longer than expected. Finally left the shop with no answers. I wasted 2 hours for nothing. Poor customer service.
Spend days looking for the best deal on tires for my dually. I called this location and believe it or not, Darren and Luke looked out for my absolute best interest. I usually steer clear of letting places like this touch my truck ! However, these guys truly know what they are doing at take pride in their work! Thanks for everything guys!
If I could give this particular location no stars I would. I came to NTB on January 2, 2020 for a state inspection. They failed my car and told me I needed one tire and I had a light out. I took my car to Walmart up the street and got a new tire put on. They checked all my lights at Walmart and determined that I only had one light that was out in which they fixed. On January 3, 2020, I took my car back to NTB for an inspection. The manager went outside to get my mileage and stated to me that my car would not pass inspection due to 3 of my tires. I explained I was there the day before and was told only one tire was needed and I just got a new one. I then asked if he was the person who was doing the inspection and he said he was not going to be the one to do it. I asked to speak to the person who was going to complete it. They took my car to the back and the inspector inspected it. He then told me that my car would not pass as there were several lights out. I explained I just took my car yesterday to have my lights replaced. I took my car to another Walmart and had them to check my lights to replace them. They told me that there were no lights that were out in my car. I took my car to another establishment for a state inspection and passed. I feel as though NTB completed wasted my time over a course of several days and that they lied and just didn’t want to pass my car for whatever reason. I have brought my car to them since 2013 however I will no longer be bringing my car to them. They just wanted to make money off people’s cars by saying different things were wrong with the car.
Techs dont know how to install tires on premium wheels like ADV1, Renntech, etc. Take your wheels and tires to Discount Tire. They have updated equipment and friendly service. They did allow me to keep my car there until I sent in for repair. They did not honor their deal to assist with cost. Advised me not to bring my car back. I wont.
They are NOT honest; VERY VERY expensive. Went there for an oil change and they offered me to change the rear brakes pads; Price? $247.97 in parts; $138.59 Labor; $35.00 Shop fee; and taxes $34.58; Total $456.14; Really? Of course I said NO. They told me that the pads have only 1 mm and I could have an accident soon. Went to Autozone and bought new pads $26.99; Paid a mechanic $40; Total $66.99; The Mechanic told me the pads still 70% good; and rotors shinny with no scratches.
I had a coupon for a $19.99 oil change and tire rotation, they only did the oil change and charged me over $24.00. That alone took 3 hours and they never called me when it was done like they said they would. When I got back out to my truck they had stained my carpet with oily boot prints and when I was driving later on in the day my rain guard (protects my oil tray) fell off while I was driving! Never ever go here for any reason.
Tires were cheap, but long wait time and had to come back to re-balance one tire because the little weight came off after car wash when I touched it with sponge. Was not properly secured I guess.Witnessed employee arguing and yelling at complaining customer. Bad bad bad customer service. They should have a receptionist who can handle customers better. Not coming back here, for sure!
Slow service. There were very few cars and all technician were chatting rather than finish work. Another customer and I were shocked and wondering about quality. I used this office because there were the only with the exact tire i need; but most likely i will avoid it in the future if i can.
Wasted my 3 hours, lazy people work in mechanical area, would like to have corporate number to complain.Update: 12/20/19, NTB ( lazy worker) told me without looking at, i needed to change headlight panel and quoted me around $350, i took it to toyota dealership and they said just bulbs needed to change, charged me$8.47 for everything, pls see proof of receipt .Owner needs to fire lazy people at ntb.Someone from corporate contacted me and said she would send this to district manager.I would like to know if district manager know about my complaint and he/she took any action.
Came in around 6ish and was told it would be hour and half wait. Actually took an hour for oil change. Staff did apologies for the wait which I do appreciate that. Only complaint air conditioner was not working properly. I felt like a rotessier chicken I did go outside to cool off but it was just as hot if not hotter. 😥
I was turned down at 6 pm this evening for service at Wal-Mart (they close at 7pm) and was recommended to try NTB close by since their hours are until 8 pm and Im glad I did so now I know a better place with better service to get my tires. I had a flat and was frantic as to how I can solve this issue and didnt want to pay extra since I had a warranty at the Wal-mart where I purchased my tires. Off I went anyway and was so relieved that the kind people at NTB were able to help us out. Thank you so much for helping me in a tight bind, really appreciated the wonderful service!
My experience was terrible. Please go somewhere else. I paid for alignment and wheel balance. Asked them to call when it was done. They did not call and when I came to pick up the car I found that the balance was not done. Then they asked if I would mind waiting 5-10 mins while they did this. Knowing this takes much more than 10 mins, I watched as the techs were in no hurry and stood around talking most of the time. So if you have time and money to waste then by all means go hear. But if you dont have money or time to waste then by all means please waste them here.
This particular NTB has consistently failed me. From putting the wrong oil in my car to losing my wheel lock, the only reason I ever go to this location is because it is close to me. I am currently sitting at a different NTB getting my oil changed and the mechanic informs me that the last person who changed my oil stripped my oil pan and it will take him a couple of hours to get the part and fix it. NTB generally is fine, but this location consistently demonstrates its incompetency in performing the most basic mechanic jobs. I am done with the missouri city NTB.
Your customer service is lacking in a serious way.I’m fact it’s so bad on 518 and Silverlake in Pearland,Tx until I have terminated our relationship!I know get all of my vehicles tires and services across the street at Firestone and or Discount Tires.Look up my name in your system and you will see where I have spent thousands of dollars with NTB !Not anymore.One day I pull up to get my tire pressure checked and the employee hands me the air gauge !Discount Tires don’t have a problem checking air pressure !
So after I got turned down by a walmart technician, I drove to NTB to have my oil change. It was 6:30 pm and the guy there told me (again!) that he was there alone (again, how many people do you need to do an oil change???) and that the lady who came 2 seconds before me was the last for that day. Do not bother with this place They are supposed to close at 8pm but they close waaaay before that!
At their website they advertised a $19.99 oil change... spent half an hour creating an account, selecting my car make, model, and scheduling... when I was there they told me my car needen an special oil type and the cost was $49.99... special oil for a Corolla?? WASTED MY TIME
Good visit for me . Friendly staff . Attention to detail for the old school changing the tires . Saw him through the window cleaning the stuff off they put to help the tire on . Like really cleaning it . Inspecting it ,making sure none was left behind . Would recommend this placd to others ..

2022-05-21Came in to get brakes and new tires. Muhammad Saeed was very helpful and answered all my questions. After inspecting the car I was told my brakes were in great shape and didn’t need to be replaced. They definitely have a repeat customer!!

2022-04-24Always tries to find a reason to upscale that will cost over $1K. Ridiculous. I went in to have one flat tire replaced and was told I also needed to replace all four shock absorbers which totals $1869. And the car passed a State Inspection several days prior. Ridiculous. The only reason I come here for tire work only is because my step dad bought the tires here for me a couple of years ago. This is my second time coming here and both experiences have not been great at all.

2022-02-24I was told by the service technician that the work he had to do on my truck wouldnt take long and be ready the same day. I asked him again if he was sure because I needed my truck the next day for work and had no other vehicle to use. I told him I could come back on the weekend to leave the truck, but he insisted that it would be done that same day. I received a call at 6:30pm saying my truck would not be ready until the next day. I was furious, and I didnt even receive an apology from any of the staff members. Thats the least they could have done, or even a discount for making me miss a day at work!!

2020-12-05The staff at this location are very unprofessional. Even though I made an appointment in advance for my last oil change, I was still quoted a three hour wait time. When I arrived, the staff member that checked me and could not find me in the system and blamed me for not creating an appointment correctly. By the end of the whole 15 minute check-in process, we realized that he couldn’t find me in the system because he wrote my phone number down incorrectly, not because of anything I did on the computer. I told this gentleman that I was using their $22 oil change special but was quoted a $40 price, and had to remind him again that I was using their online Valvoline oil change special that I always use. There were no apologies for the errors or time wasted. Fast forward to when I got my car and noticed there was no sticker inside listing my mileage and date of service. This is the third time that this is happened at this location. I was asked to pull my car back inside the garage for them to rectify the situation, but it took an additional 15 minutes because no one was available to do this for me, as one associate was standing around dancing, and another was servicing another car parked in the middle of the garage and blocking me from getting out. When they finally got to me, the gentleman climbed into my car and sat down to write down all the details on the sticker without wearing a mask. I should not even have to ask for that during a pandemic. Especially when I had passengers in my car. Again, no apologies for the inconvenience or the additional wait time, when they really could’ve just written the details inside of the store and come out to the parking lot to put the sticker in. There were too many staff working inside for any of the issues I was experiencing to be happening. When I reported my concerns to the manager I was given excuses instead of apologies or assurance that the individuals would be talked to about their lack of customer service. I will not be returning to this location because I have been to several other locations around America and in the Houston area that are efficient and hire competent, mature staff.
