The Oak Point PD is apparently contracted to patrol Cross Oaks Ranch in Cross Roads, Texas. Questionable jurisdictional issues aside, instead of building relationships with the working class folks they were hired to protect and serve, these guys revel in their gift for escalating every encounter. If you are looking for a textbook study on how to foster an Us vs. Them mentality towards the police in your local community look no further than the Oak Point Police Department. Every time I see these guys I feel less safe.

Officer Mcfarlin went above and beyond today for me. Even though it didnt work out in my favor. I still appreciate him being human. Jerry walker was my high school resource officer back in 2002-2004 when I graduated. We remained close till his last day of duty. I felt today that I had someone who truly cared about the situation just as he would. Thank you Oak point police department for bringing in a good asset to the community.

Extremely unprofessional officer encounter.I felt I was being harassed due to my last name with the vibe, body language, his tone and attitude when speaking to me. I am represented by the government with the nature of my work and it is unbelievable I was treated like this. I asked questions very respectfully and he ignored every word out of my mouth.An apology would be much appreciated.This is completely out of character for this Police Department.Maybe he was having a bad day but it definitely doesn’t call for this behavior or maybe with this lack of self control he shouldn’t be in uniform.
