Olive Garden Italian Restaurant in other cities:
We visited Alvins Olive Garden today for my daughters 18th birthday. Excellent food and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the quality standards are high at this location. I enjoyed soup and salad. The chicken gnocchi was full of chicken and so creamy. Very clean and relaxing atmosphere.
This is our preferred Olive Garden. As usual, everything was very good. The only reason I gave a 4 star rating is because our waitress would go MIA for long periods of time and my husband needed refills. She never asked if we would like more salad. We learned if we needed anything, we better ask while she was at our table because we knew she wouldnt be back for a while. I understand it was busy but I noticed the waiter for the table next to us checked on them at least every 5- 10 minutes and that left me wondering what happened to our waitress. We ordered the chocolate brownie lasagna for dessert and I must say it was delicious. Overall it was a pretty good experience.
This restaurant is conveniently located near the intersection of Highway 6 and Highway 35 in Alvin, Texas. I enjoyed a very fine lunch meal of spaghetti and Chicken Parmesan here on Veterans Day on the 11th of November. Ms. Didi, the restaurant manager quickly took care of me when I arrived, because I called ahead. Jake was a my server. A big shout out to Didi & Jake for making my time there a wonderful experience.
Olive Garden has gone downhill BAD. Breadsticks were cold and hard, obviously left over from lunch and still used. Asked for fresh and got hot but still hard, as if they rewarmed the cold hard breadstick. Drinks ran empty and we had to ask for refills. Steak Alfredo was incredibly bland and steak was tough. Absolutely horrible and will not be returning any time soon. I recommend Gios in Dickinson or Ginas in Friendswood as a more authentic alternative at a better price. Each are only about 15 minutes away.
Waitress was rude, food was incredibly lacking, literally didnt get served any drinks until after we had been given our food. Extremely disappointed with the over all service this time around, which is disappointing as Id like to think Ive eaten here enough to be considered a regular. Ill be taking my business elsewhere next time, not even worth the trip.
The service was great! It usually is. I gave 3 stars because the smell in the restaurant was a smell of cleaners. I appreciate a clean place, of course, but it was so strong that I couldnt smell food until they actually put it in front of me on the table. I really enjoy smelling the kitchen when I walk in but, not this time.
The food tasted like it was made the day before and reheated. Very disappointed. Took my mom/friend out to eat for birthdays. My mom asked for butter and it looked like he slap a cup of butter in a bowl didnt even melt it! We let the waiter now there was flys, he just ignore us and the fly landed in my moms unmelted butter! SMH
Wish the menu would go back to normal. Everything on the menu is chicken... YukYes there is meatballs but the steak medallions youll use to serve and I think it was braised in red wine was delicious If yall brought that back my review would be better. Probably a five star
We visited our local olive garden for the first time in several years. The food was amazing and the staff was attentive and on top of cleanliness and current covid mandates. Our waitress Rachel was amazing! Very friendly and accurate with our order!Great experience from start to finish!
To start, our waiter was a great help and did a great job caring for our needs. As usual the salad and bread sticks were great. When I ordered an old fashioned, I had hoped that they would admit that they didnt have the right ingredients. Even so, the bartender was able to pull together something close. Props. I ordered the Stuffed Chicken Marsala and to be honest, it was pretty terrible. The chicken was very clearly cheap frozen chicken patties that tasted plastic at best. This food was so underwhelming that I have to say I will not be back. Again, the people were great but the food is terrible.
Harley and her manager Deedee took very good care of me and my father and even took my food allergies very seriously even though I did not request it. It was very nice to be taken care of and looked out for and did not make me feel like I was being a burden at all. Thank you so much ladies. The food was amazing and whoever was my bartender today made a great drink and was amazing as well.
I havent been to an Olive Garden in a long time. Although me and my friend visited one today and Alvin Texas. Both of us in our mid-40s but having waited tables during our college Years our experience today was phenomenal! Our waitress was exceptionally nice well-groomed and very polite and very professional. Her name was Jasmine. She greeted our table with a smile delivered all upgrading sales pitches such as offering drinks from the bar appetizers and selective items off the menu that were delicious. To the management at the Olive Garden in Alvin Texas. You have an incredible employee who possesses great leadership and customer service skills that represent your restaurant. I have been a flight attendant for a major airline for 21 years. Being nice to passengers and giving them exceptional customer service is very important! Your employee Jasmine possesses all those attributes. She is a keeper!
The food was absolutely delicious. I had what I believe was a new dish called a Pizza Bowl and yes it is as good as it sounds also I had the lasagna chocolate cake which was equally delicious the service was impeccable. There was a tiny racial incident that was maintained and executed perfectly by management and staff I give this place 4 thumbs👍👍👍👍 up I will be returning . I highly recommend this place.
This is my favorite restaurant in the whole world. I love the food and the waiters/waitresses are very nice. I eat there as soon as I get the chance. Its also in a very reasonable place with good food options around there. Its about 2 minutes away from my house too. The Olive Garden in Alvin, Texas is a very good place to eat. I highly recommend eating there and I know that it will stay this way.- Kellan (9 years old)
The general manager is wonderful. He overheard my request for three vegetables, no pasta or sauces. He volunteered that there was fresh spinach and asparagus in the kitchen. The food was beautiful and well seasoned. No long wait for a special order. Our waitress was attentive and funny. Best OG visit, ever.
Horrible experience!!!! waited forever for server to come around, then it was like you had to beg to get a drink refill. Dont even think of getting more soup. I waited 15 minutes to see if the waiter was going to ask if I need more soup and finally I had to stop him in his tracks and ask for another bowl of soup since everyone at the table was already done eating , and now waiting on me to get done.Just a very bad experience..
The atmosphere was wonderful the waitress was a blast but the food was okay. I am huge fan of Olive Garden however the food was a bit of a let down. Not all the food my family and I ate was bad. Lets just say that the asparagus is suppose to have some meat to them. I would of given a five star but the asparagus was to thin.
We enjoyed ourselves! My husband got the cheese stuffed ravioli with mushroom sauce, I had Tour of Italy, and my kids shared spaghetti and raviolis. Everything was very yummy! The kitchen was very busy, as it was dinner time, but we were happy with the salad and bread sticks until our order was ready. We got a nice Moscato. We also ordered a few of the $5 take-home meals for lunches the next day. Definitely not disappointed! 😁
This is my bosses favorite place to eat. I had the pizza bowl and it tasted just as good as it sounds. She had the spaghetti with meat. Unfortunately our visit was almost ruined buy a racist person in the seat behind us. Luckily their waiter in the manager of the restaurant handle them very well they apologize for the rude customer. I was so impressed with the way they handled it and even more impressed with my Pizza Bowl that is my new favorite I ordered the lasagna brownie which was phenomenal. Thanks again to the servers and the management.
In Angleton, TX. All Olive Gardens are good, clean and staff was friendly, good service. Got appetizer, Cheese Fritta, wasnt that good, we ate three out of six. I think there was too much oregano. The rest of the meal was good, as usual. Got there late and we were the last ones to leave. I would recommend this restaurant.
Free gift card used! It was so worth it. Clean! Rr also with no wet floors for my crutches to slip. Entry staff nice and friendly. Waiter great! Messed up and didnt hear something but 1 minute he was gone and returned with the solution! Food was great! Left full as hail. Easy out through home depot lot to hwy6
Started coming here because my favorite bar tender transferred here. Pleasantly surprised all around, the place is cleaner, the people are more polite and friendlier all around, and the few members of management that I have met were lovely people. Love you baldy, best bartender and conversation buddy in the usa. Also, r.i.p. silverlake, that place isnt what it used to be.
Impressed with the way everything was taken care of. I wish I could have gotten the ladies name that helped me. I saw her keys on her shoulder with blonde hair and darker roots. She was very professional and handled my order and brung it to my car!!!! The other ladies were cleaning like they should be! Great staff!
Well went to olive garden to only find out they dont sell spicy shrimp scampi appetizer any more and noone told us till after they brought out some regular shrimp scampi and refused to take it off the bill so we got up and walked out if olive garden dont sell the spicy shrimp scampi well we wint be back thats the only reason we even go there cause that stuff was so good.. so needless to say they ate about 20 bucks. I do not recommend olive garden any more STAY AWAY POOR SERVICE
Time 13 minutes longer than told pick up would be ready, asked for 3 utensils got none, cold salad with Brown lettuce on bottom of one bag with hot food in the middle and cheesecake on top. Alfredo noodles was very dry. Will be looking for another Italian restaurant in the Alvin area for future purchases.
When this Olive Garden first opened.. it was okay. Several times that the service was bad, long waits for food, dirty dishes. I gave up for awhile but I have been again and had a much different experience. Last night (11/10/2016) we went around 615ish they were busy but we didnt have a long wait. Our waitress her name was Angela, was VERY attentive and did a great job , need more waitresses like her. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant.
Its Olive Garden. Menu is predictable. Service was excellent. Love the bottomless salad and soup. Bread sticks were HOT. Only drawback is the restrooms are in the BACK of the restaurant amid a maiz of tables, customers and servers. Why cant businesses place restrooms near the entrance/exit? May be the one thing that keeps me from going back.
I had a great Waiter this time. My food came out super fast. The bread sticks were fresh. Not always this good. I guess it is all on when you come and who is working. Last time I ate my whole meal with out a drink. Had to get the bus boy to find my server to bring me another drink.
I LOVE the Olive Garden in Alvin. Im disabled and they always go out of their way to make me comfortable. I havent met a waiter/waitress there that hasnt gone well beyond to take care of me. And the management is great. Good food, always fresh... restaurant is always clean. When I want Olive Garden Ill go out of my way to go to that one.
Maybe just try another location. We have been here multiple times and had subpar service. Tonight was the last time I will go to this location. The restaurant was far from busy. The hostess took us to a seat In a section that was full while the rest for the restaurant was empty. I asked for a booth instead of a table. Apparently asking for a preferred table type is not okay at this establishment. We were then taken to a seat in the bar and when my girlfriend got up to use the restroom she saw and over heard the hostess grils talking about us and making rude faces. We immediately got up and left. There is way to many other restaurants that provide great customer service in this area to be treated like this.
I initially meant to post four stars but accidentally posted three. Decided to give all five because this location stands out over the rest due to excellent service and staff. Current GM is as best as they come and it trickles down. Well ran and worth visiting regularly. Work well with schools and involved with the community. Not to mention the best stop for Italian in Alvin area.
Hadnt been to an Olive Garden in quite some time. We quickly remembered why. While our server was terrific, the food was sub par; my six year olds entree wasnt even edible. The calamari was overcooked and bland, the ravioli had flavor thanks to the meat sauce and the fettuccine was almost tasteless. The chicken was overcooked and hard as a rock. The $140 check for terrible food was tough to swallow, but, again, our server was delightful
The Toscana soup I received today was horrible, this is the second time I have experienced this. The first time it happened I ordered a duo so I had something else to eat, this time I ordered only soup and it was watered down again, not the nice creamy broth that I normally enjoy about the soup. I will not be wasting my money at this location anytime soon.
I told the server what I wanted which was different than the traditional way they do it. She pulled it off perfectly. I find most Olive Gardens to be completely accommodating with service at every level of a fine dining experience. Alvin Olive Garden was no different. Simply the BEST!
The manager, built like a refrigerator, circled the tables with her hands behind her back like a fifth grade math teacher making sure no one cheats during the STARS exams. Her icy cold stares shot holes through my breadsticks, intimidating our poor squirrel of a waitress. This MANager swam around the entire restaurant like a shark waiting for the chum that was the waitstaff, eventually disappearing into the dark abyss that is the back of Olive Garden. Not much to our surprise, she was dressed like a Karen, which gives us the eternal paradox: “If the manager IS a Karen, who will other Karen’s report to?” AKA Karen-ception, which we did not want to unravel while eating mediocre pasta and not-so-unlimited soups. Two stars is for the buzz cut she gave me with her unrelenting stares.
September 6, 20194:45pmVery poor service, below are the facts that just occurred. No greeting from 4 employees upon entering pick up entrance- they did manage to greet the lady before me and gentleman that entered approximately 5 minutes after me. After completing the lady’s transaction no one asked me for my pick up name, instead the male employee answers the phone and takes an order while three female employees chatter amongst themselves. The lady notices their behavior and apologizes as she stepped to my right. 4 employees in my presence and not one provides any assistance whatsoever. After taking the phone order the male employee apologized and finally asked for a pick up name, which he had difficulty finding the order sitting on the stand to his left.I hope management sees this, paying customers should not endure this kind of treatment period.
Granted, this is a new establishment. But considering the trouble they went through to staff this place, I expected better. The food was on par, with true O.G. style... But the service was severely lacking. I waited twenty minutes for my after dinner drink, and another twenty minutes waiting for the check. While during my serving, the waitress had her a$$ stuck in my face while serving the table next to my wife and I. Add to that, my second Margarita lacked any Tequila (AT ALL)... and for How Much??? I have frequented O.G. many times in my 45 years, and this establishment is by far the worst.... If my next visit is as unpleasant, I will drive the extra mileage to one better suited. $2.00 was all I could muster for a tip.. and guilt was the only reason for that amount of generosity..• • •
Food and waitress was fine. However, when we entered we noticed no tables were cleared. (Many dirty tables) Our table was cleared but a used knife in the booth and one empty wine glass on table and no utensils or salt, pepper, etc. We were told they were extremely crowded earlier and short staffed. We were there for at least an hour and not one table was ever been cleared and I noticed some of the waiters standing around. Why werent they pitching in to help? When we left we counted 13 dirty tables just from our table to the door and pretty sure they were the same ones from an hour earlier. Not a very good first impression.
They do a amazing job I love this Olive Garden is so clean and fast Oders are always fulfilled and the always make sure the bread is hot and fresh I’m very happy with the catering service despite of what we are all going trough love the Olive Garden team . I highly recommend this location in Alvin the best in Houston in my opinion
The waiter was awesome, and the food not bad, but sad to report I got severe food poisoning after eating the chicken/zucchini dish. The other family members who were with me, but had the lasagne and fettuccine, were fine. Then I read the July 2017 health inspection report on this restaurant and it was scary. Alvins Olive Garden really needs to clean up their act. Food poisoning is no fun! The first time Ive ever had it! I will read health inspection reports from now on before eating out!
Just as nice as any other olive garden, along with the service, but they only brought 3 bread sticks for 2 of us, usually where I normally go we get 6, and they did not have any dressing on the salad, Bute into plane lettuce and had to ask for there dressing. (Benefit of the doubt, server could of been new or they just forgot). It can happen. Will I go back. YES !!! , but if the same thing happens again, NO...
Food was o.k. we saw our waitress 2 times, when she took our order, and when I asked for sales ticket. Really lousy service, she never checked on us. Got the order wrong. How can you not understand spaghetti and meatballs? Thanks for reminding why I wont eat there again.
Weve always found the food here to be wonderful. We have done both dine in and pick up And you cannot beat their salad dressing. but we do miss their Deep Fried Artichoke Hearts. YUM YUM..we would drive in from Manvel all the time just for them lol GREAT PLACE TO EAT
Stopped by here last night to order a chicken alfredo bowl supposed to be 17.43 after handing them my debit card and waiting over 4 minutes for the transactions to clear they informed me they made an error and charged me over 46.84 instead. I have no clue how something so simple could be such a nightmare i have a reciept and proof the money has left my account and still no credit towards my account this is beyond wrong and frustrating. You need to make this right this is not how you run a business period. After almost 5 days they credited me and it all worked out may give this place 1 more chance but not for awhile
Me, my grandma and my mom, all ate different things and we all got sick after eating from here Saturday! Be cautious that is the second time my mom has came home sick after eating here in the past two months.Idk what’s wrong with your staff but you guys need to make some changes!
After several times of going to OG and having not so great service, my husband and i decided to go to dinner and use a gift card we had. Our server was Kandice and she gave us the best service weve had there. She is knowledgable, personable and even though they were very busy, she was fast! Id recommend anyone that goes to OG in Alvin to request to sit in her section and she will definitely take care of you!
Our hostess was great but our waitress was very slow we got seated and waited for almost 15 minutes before she came to ask us if we had drinks which we did not then she said she would be back with the drinks and get our order we ask for breadsticks and sauce we never got the sauce till almost after we got our meal we asked for our check three times before checking out

2022-02-19This is the cleanest restaurant that weve been to in quite a while! The woodwork, bottles, lights, doors, windows, and all of the other decorations were shiny and clean with no dust or greasy buildup anywhere! It was impressive! The food was fresh and delicious 😋 the service was great!

2022-04-13Olive Garden has gone down hill a very long way since I was a child. The price you pay does not reflect the food they serve or even the service one gets. Everything tastes like it was cooked yesterday and reheated in a microwave. If you want good, Italian food go visit Gina’s.

2020-12-17This is by far one of the coziest places to go here in Alvin, they kindly greeted us at the door and we were helped by a nice lady who was a Gem!! She guided us through the menu which has slightly been modified due to covid. We always like eating at Olive garden but this was my first time at this location! Excellent service, the food was great, fresh and served on time. The server constantly checked on us and she made us feel welcome and special.. The music and ambiance contributed to a very enjoyable experience!

2022-03-04Went here for my birthday dinner with my family and the food was delicious as always! Their dessert is delicious too, I got a chocolate cheesecake type dessert with regular cheesecakes chunks in it. It was so good!

2022-05-30Restaurant warm, asked for extra sauce got a very small container of sauce. They have gone downhill since my last visit. There are better restaurants to go to for Italian food

2020-01-26Service and food are kind of Hit and Miss. Sometimes are good sometimes are not.Year later and this visit was great. Had two new dishes: chicken margherita and zoota zucchini with chicken. Both were very good. The zoota was kind of watery due to the zucchini noodles and could have used something to thicken the sauce and the vegetables part needed salt to bring out the flavor bit once I salted it it was really good. Also had a combo appetizer of calamari, stuffed mushrooms, and fried mozzarella cheese. The spicy ranch sauce that came with it was really good! Our server was new but did a great job, constantly checking on us and finding answers to questions he didnt know. Needless to say, this visit was really good.

2019-03-16I had lunch with some of my family at this location recently and for the most part if was a good experience. We were seated right away, and our waitress met us promptly. She explained the various specials they were having at the time, and then proceeded to take our drink order. After getting out drinks, we followed the usual process; ordering our food, getting our appetizers and starters, then finishing with our meal. Everything tasted great and it was a large enough portion that I was able to take left overs to dinner that night. The only complaints that I have were the service was a little slow at times and we were seated next to the bar. Normally I wouldn’t mind sitting next to the bar area, but the bartender was doing something behind the bar that was very loud almost to the point where we couldn’t hear each other talk.Other than those aspects the experience was very nice. The restaurant was clean, and everything tasted great. Each time we finished our bread our waitress would bring out a fresh basket of hot bread. This is a great place if you want to nice meal for fairly cheap!
