Orangetheory Fitness in other cities:
I keep telling myself I am going to review Avery and Cedar Park; but get too busy. On the training side of things Morgan, Michelle, and Connie have made such a positive impact on my life. Michelle adds a level of positive energy that is the main reason I changed my home studio to Avery. She is the benchmark for an OT instructor. Morgan is an instructor I have been lucky to train with since being at Arbor Town Square. She will motivate you to new heights. In a very short period of time, Connie has become one of our favorites. Her music choices and feedback are amazing. I do not believe I have seen any of the many instructors to have dabbled in training excel as quickly as she has.At the front desk, weve seen a fair amount of change. Andre, Jaime, and Katelyn are always eager to greet you with a smile! Never shy on playful comments or challenging you to the next benchmark. Thanks for creating a great studio!
I am busy with kids and work, so I don’t have time to research and plan an exercise routine. With OrangeTheory, I don’t have to think. I show up, the coach tells me what to do, and I get a great workout. In early 2020 I gained the COVID 19, and after 4 months of OrangeTheory I was back at my target weight and building lean muscle. It works.
Highly recommend this place for many reasons!1. Professional and welcoming staff, very friendly may I add. And this includes the coaches as well!2. 60 min workouts which will have you feeling energized for the rest of your day (regardless of how hard you worked out during class leaving you in a wreck 😅)3. Everyday is a different workout and all of them cover your cardio, strength and endurance which is a major plus!!I could go on but I think I covered the most important:) very happy with my decision to become a member at OTF 🤩
Orangetheory in general is a great workout no matter which location. However this is my home studio and I love all the coaches and staff here. They really seem tog get to know every regular and always have the studio in great condition. I highly recommend OTF Avery Ranch.
Rating are purely driven by their communication. This review is to make new signer aware their policy around completing the forms and session with coach before starting first class. I referred my wife for initial class, I had phone conversation with staff and completed the initial formality and all set for the class. Agreement was to reach 15-20 min before the class. We did reach but coach was not able to take us in as requirements was to be there 30 min before. We lost an hour because of their staffs miss communication. More over its tough to get started on exercise journey and incident like this are road blockers. My recommendation is to visit them at least once before the actual class to avoid have surprises. This is my first month here and overall their class seems to be just right to get started. I will update review based on how the rest of the year goes..Update 24th Oct2021: enjoying the classes.. most important thing that it does is to get you in rhythm. Fix the days in advance and commit to it. Rest all will fall it in place. Today I upgraded to their premium to go 3 times a week instead of 2 earlier. As part of registration got my app worked and noticed many late cancelation marked which I never enrolled. Again seems to be communication break down. Later noticed multiple extra charges on my account that resulted from late cancelations. N.B. Have your app setup from day one and keep an eye on any extra charges.Keeping the rating as two for continuous communication breakdown.
After hitting my PR on the 1 mile benchmark last night, I figured it would be a good time to review the studio that has helped make it possible.Michelle is an amazing coach overall, and especially during benchmark days. She has worked with me on strategy, improving my output, and providing me encouragement to get over the anxiety of benchmark days. My last PR on the 1 mile run was with Michelle, and I just beat that record again with her last night. The level of support she shows for the members is unmatched.Big shoutout to Morgan and Connie as well. Morgan has helped me (and many others) through modifications. This has allowed me to still attend class even if Im dealing with a particular issue. These modifications also include a helpful push in case Im not reaching my maximum potential. Connie plays some of the best music, and is always on top of it with form corrections. She is a natural at coaching!Overall, love the coaches at this studio and feel that they have really built a positive environment for the members. Front desk team has been amazing as well, and I always look forward to chatting with them before the workout.
I love getting stronger and faster! I have been a member for 4 years and dropped my all other gym memberships! There is no other workout that I can get done in an hour. It is important to me that I can complete a hard work out and fit it in my schedule. We have great coaches that push me to do weight training which is my weakest area. I appreciate when they help me with improving my posture and completing the exercise more effectively. I also enjoy fun music!
My husband and I are in our 60s and we have never participated in any kind of real exercise program, at least not one that lasted more than a few months. I remember the first day that we tried Orange Theory- I wasnt sure I could survive it and concluded it was for serious athletes, but not for me. But I came back. As Michelle says -success is on the other side of that moment you want to quit . Here we are nine months later in the best shape of our lives and we are committed to this for the rest of our lives. Oh yes it is intense, but it is that intensity that pays off. If I can do this you all can do it! We would never work as hard as we do in that one hour if we were left on our own at any other gym. We get a well-rounded workout guided by coaches who take their time to support us individually when needed. This was the best decision for health and well-being we’ve ever made.
Im in the best shape of my life and its all thanks to OTF! This place provides the best workouts Ive ever experienced! I am highly motivated when I am in the workout and to go to the workouts. You can be as engaged with the other people or as private as youd like to be. The coaches are really fun and there are certain incentives every month. All about that orange life!
Any workout is what you make it. Orangetheory provides you with an environment to be successful. The coaches are fantastic at providing motivation while ensuring proper technique and pushing you to do your best within your limits. The heart rate zones allow you to monitor yourself during the workout and push harder or scale back when needed. I encourage anyone looking for a fitness routine to give Orangetheory a consideration. You won’t regret it!
Big fan of Orangetheory Fitness, especially the Avery Ranch location. This is my home gym, and has a community feel to it. I have been to several other locations and they seem to fit that mold as well just judging by the conversations between members that I overheard while waiting for class to start. With any kind of life changing habit, you will need to give this more than just a workout or two before you form an opinion. I struggled for the first 6 or 8 workouts, and now it is addicting. I started out with an 8 class per month membership and have since changed to unlimited. I routinely find myself logging 20 classes in a month. I love the workouts. They are varied and challenging. You will get out of it what you put in to it. The coaches are there to help, and will truly go out of their way to help you achieve your goals.Speaking of coaches, they are all wonderful. Upbeat, friendly, knowledgable. Each has their own taste in music for the class, but seem to be open to suggestions. The staff at Avery is great as well. They will greet you by name after they have seen you more than once! All of my experiences with the staff and management have been great. Highly recommend giving this location of Orangetheory a chance if you are looking to be more fit.
My husband and I are both loving Orange Theory. The workouts are really challenging, but the trainers are encouraging and helpful if you need to modify an exercise. We have been to three classes , and have had Tyler and Montana as trainers. They are both awesome! We are burning tons of calories. The price seems like a lot, but when you consider that you are paying for classes with a trainer; the price is actually really good.
Ive worked out my entire adult life and have never been as fit as I am now in my 50s. OTF provides the results youre looking for regardless of age, current fitness level, or time availability. I love that I can take a class at 5a, noon, or after dinner. I appreciate that each day is different based on that days focused theme (endurance, strength, or power) because it prevents my body from falling into a muscle-memory trap. You can track your results each workout to determine if you need to step it up, perform stronger and more efficiently than you did yesterday, or beat the person on the treadmill next to you. You get to say how youll treat each workout and the trainers get to provide the construct with each class, inspiring you all the way.
Super friendly and qualified trainers, nice staff and sociable patrons/fellow workout enthusiasts. I was super hesitant to join thinking itd be like that cult Cross Fit, but was thoroughly surprised and impressed with the experience. Having that person to your left and right was just the motivational butt kick I needed to get back on track with my fitness goals. While the membership is a bit pricey, to me it was worth it for me to stay more accountable, feel challenged and obtain a better physical fitness level.
The fee structure and the communication is horrible. No proper communication and notifications when taking your account off the hold during this pandemic situation, I understand otherwise but during these tough times I expect more rational behavior than just reading terms off a piece of paper. The staff are poorly trained, they do not have the right information to share with their customers and the customers in the end are the losers eventually with money withdrawn and refund requests not responded right. I was told the holds on the account would hold good until I reach out to end it due to the pandemic situation but account comes off hold without notification and my card was being charged for 4 months before I realized it and now they aren’t giving me refund citing I didn’t extend the hold after July 2020 - I would have had I not been told by the members of the studio that the holds would be honored until I cancel it. They speak in direct contradiction of their own rules certain times. I would be a 100% sure I would have gotten a notification immediately had my card on file expired and they weren’t receiving the payments. But since they were billing me behind my back without a notification and had the money coming in - never did they bother to check back as to why I haven’t scheduled a single class in those 4 months. The fees is a rip off. The studio doesn’t care about the health concerns regarding the pandemic. All they care is making money. Expected better - very disappointing
The classes have changed so much with Covid.. the overall attitude is not positive for me so I stopped go for a while it was bringing me down.. I am going to try 1 more month joined in 2014 when they opened in Avery rAnch. Its convenient to my home in Avery Ranch but having to force myself to go. I wish there were more friendly staff ! The workouts are good because I do push myself.
I love the workout and how it mixes cardiovascular and weights. The atmosphere is great and the leaders/coaches are very attentive to everyone. The best part for me is how it keeps me engaged the whole workout. Theres constantly a goal to strive for and really keeps it from getting monotonous. Love the energy, love the passion, love the community atmosphere.
We love this place so much more than the gym we were members of before. Knowing that we have paid for the class (motivation), wonderfully friendly staff and coaches, good class times, all make it easy to go and look forward to going. Husband has lost more weight doing a few months of these classes than a year at our old gym.
The workout is fast, upbeat and motivating. My first class was a struggle but the coach, music and other members really helped me push through. Everyone is so welcoming and excited to see you. It’s a great environment and I am excited to start the journey with Orangetheory Fitness!
OrangeTheory Fitness Avery Ranch is a blast! The coaches are fun, the workouts are challenging, and the desk crew is attentive.I have Rheumatoid Disease, so I have to modify some of the exercises. Every coach has been supportive and has provided alternatives for anything I cant do. It means a lot to know that I can still get a quality workout even though some of my joints are giving me problems. I love this place!
OTF Avery Ranch isnt your ordinary gym...its a community with trainers and members who care about you and it really is more fun to sweat with friends. I am not disciplined enough to work out by myself, so I love the coaching - I dont have to think about anything, just follow the trainers instructions and its an amazing workout. The balance between cardio and strength/weights really works and there is plenty of variety, so you wont get bored. And having the heart rate/calorie/splat point carrot is a huge driver. Definitely give it a try...the first one is free. :)
I started at OTF Avery Ranch shortly after it opened and loved it. I quit for a while thinking I could carry on the idea of the workouts on my own. Nothing is like the OTF workout and atmosphere. Avery Ranch has a great location, great coaches and is great for all fitness levels! I’m back and getting back into shape!
They are organized, personable, and flexible and coaches are so phenomenal, its like working out with a personal trainer daily .Avery Ranch studio is spacious, especially the weight room , Compared to other locations.Group workouts keep me motivated , I have been a member since its opening in 2015.
I absolutely love OTF. When I started I remember telling a friend I was nervous about it because I didnt want to fail at another workout routine /diet / lifestyle change. When asked what my goal was after my first class I said I just wanted to like exercise and have something that I would stick to. Honestly, I didnt think this would be it but I kept going anyway. The coaches, front desk staff and members kept encouraging me and now it is something I truly look forward to. Ive gone from HATING to work out and finding any excuse I could not to go to going about five times a week and loving it. I couldnt do this on my own. If you are on the fence or feel a little intimidated by it, just give it a shot and stick to it for one month...even if you dont really want to. Youll feel so much better and youll have a group of people that are always cheering you on and encouraging you. It truly is a family and everyone is so supportive. I love my OTF family.
VERY FRUSTRATING CANCELLATION POLICYThis 8 hour window cancelation system I dont understand whats the point behind it. I woke up early in the morning and found my 1st grader is sick and wont be attend school and now I wont be able to attend the Gym either because I cant leave him alone at home. How would I able to predict 8 hours ago that my son will wake up sick. EMERGENCIES DONT APPEAR BEFORE 8 HOURS WINDOW. 20 minutes post missed class I received the receipt stating youve been charged 12 dollars. WOW!Noted even accidentally if you scheduled the class while browsing through the app and thats within 8 hours time frame BOOM. ORANGE THEORY MADE FREE $12........WORST POLICYcancelling the membership just because of this so called money making system
The entire staff at Orangetheory @ Avery Ranch are amazing. Special Kudos to Zach at the front who never misses the opportunity to welcome everyone that walks in through the doors by name and a friendly hello. Each and every trainer I have had the pleasure of working with has been extremely enthusiastic and pumped to be there, getting us all on their same energy level. Additionally, they are tuned in to each class participant, (Im always the oldest), and provide alternatives for any excercise that is needed. Certainly anyone who works out hard will have results. BUT.. working out hard at Orangetheory with this particular group of trainers brings 100 times the incentive, pleasure, and rewards. Thanks Abel, Tyler,Sarah, Renee, Caleb, and the rest!
Its always different and challenging. I absolutely love my studio and the coaches. Ive tried every diet and gym and nothing has ever stuck with me. Ive been a member of OTF for almost a year and I still go 5 times a week. Im in the best shape of my life and I am seeing muscle definition I never knew I had. I owe that to OTF and my COACHES!
With less than a year of training, I am down 20 pounds and my clothes fit perfect. Not only am I back in shape, but I am as physically fit since I ran a marathon more than 15 years ago!Unlike trainers I have had in the past, they are not trying to get you to max out and cause overexertion. They want you to maximize the time you spend training and watch for your peak heart rate. I will definitely be going back.
Orangetheory Fitness Avery Ranch has done an exceptional job at maintain CDC guidelines for facial coverings and social distancing during their workouts. They havent had any issue with COVID cases recently which makes immunocompromised customers like me feel so much safer and happier getting back into the studio. Im really grateful for how diligently the staff has been working to keep it clean and sanitary.
Avoid this Fitness center...My wife signed up here but she canceled her membership within first month due to relocation. They mentioned that the complete membership amount will be refunded if she attend 12 classes and she finished her 12 classes before cancel the membership. Now, they are claiming that she attended only 11 classes and they are not ready to give the refund back. She didnt checkin in their APP for the last class but she signed on the register before she took the class. They dont want to refer to that attendee sheet and just claiming that they dont see the check-in their APP so that she is not eligible for the refund.Seriously..If you dont care about your attendee sheet, then dont keep that one for check-in.
The best orange theory fitness in Austin! Great place for interval training and group fitness! You will find all trainers exceptional here so you dont have to follow any particular trainer. Orange theory is definitely a new disruptive model in fitness workout and is worth the expensive rates for anyone who is having average fitness physique and others who like to maintain good fitness..
I am about to do my 3 dri-tri with OTF. I feel like a champion! I have been there for almost 3 years and without additional training I have run 2 half marathons, a 10k, the Austin 10/20 and can workout 7 days a week. Im 45 btw - and in the best shape of my life! If you are looking for a challenging workout -give it a try!
My mother has been a member for over 2 years in the coppell branch, which is phenomenal, but she called in to the Avery ranch branch to book a time while she was visiting Austin. She informed the gentleman on the phone she was out of town and he said the class was full and he would call her if anything opened up. By the time she hung up, I had booked a spot online for the same time that the gentleman said was booked. We didnt book online before due to password issues at first. Not only did she not receive a call, but the class had at least 3 open spots. When she arrived they wanted to charge her for the heart rate monitor that she did not have with her.I booked a spot online almost right after my mother was told the class was full. The membership includes anywhere in the US, but there still seems to be a disconnect with some locations.update: Went once more and they tried to charge me double the amount to rent a chest monitor. Luckily I took a picture from the day before that clearly says $5 rental. Dishonest location that needs new management.
1. Management needs to spend some money from membership fees on the following - Hire good employees, Train employees, Update software, Customer service, Equipment maintainance.2. Frontdesk and manager will guarantee they fixed an issue but NO way. You need to go in person multiple times. Emails and calls are joke.3. Heart rate monitors dont work properly, you are better off getting your own since they cant help in anyway. Many folks use their heart rate monitors.4. Last, I wanted to increase my $99 membership to $159 to focus on health, they charged me more, refunded, cancelled my membership, charged me again - all these kept adding unnecessary pressure. Hope they will stop keep charging me.I quit orange theory and actually lost weight and reduced pressure and being healthy now.
So, Orangetheory has a strict cancellation policy which I understand. In the middle of a PANDEMIC that needs to be lightened. I woke up sneezing today and feeling just generally tired. I dont want to overdo it and am not sure but I dont feel 100% so I called to ask if they can move my class for today to tomorrow. Some orangetheorys will do this even without pandemic. But either way, they refused, with Covid going around, which I find HIGHLY UNSAFE. also, they dont wipe down the equipment enough or recommend others to. They really are just doing regular station wipe downs, no one is wiping down heavily in between classes. In general its not being taken seriously. Dont recommend coming here during a pandemic.
Don’t try to cancel for major health issues. You will be hounded, called, emailed, multiple times daily, to the level of harassment, all for one month’s membership fee that you couldn’t afford due to medical expenses. Even if you contact them and explain the situation, and they assure you your account will be taken care of, you will still receive daily harassing emails and attempts to charge your credit card. I’ve had several managers involved assuring me they will assist me, reducing the insult to injury I continue to receive, and yet they continue to harass me for one month’s membership fee.
I did not know what to expect when I first attending this class I heard about it from my wife. I have always wanted to find a class that provided a great work out structure. This was my first time to work out in a long time and I found the class not only capable of completing but helped me push my boundaries to the end !
This studio doesn’t care about health concerns when it comes to cancellation. We all are grow up and certain exception have to be made if it’s health related concerns rather than just reading the piece of paper which says cancellations have to be within 8 hour window period.
Its like having a personal trainer putting you through a workout. If I were at a gym Id waste so much time trying to figure out what to do next. My treadmill workout would be a lazy 30 minute run. The treadmill workout at OTF allowed me to do a 1/2 marathon and I only train two days a week! Thanks OTF!
Sign up for a free trial, if, you want to go to a time share that offers a free vacation and all you want is the vacation but you cannnnnnnot cancel no matter which hoop you jump through or door you open. They Will I repeat will get your money and you cant just try it for free

2022-05-15Had an opportunity to visit this location and it was a great experience. The moment I walked in the staff was engaging and willing to show me around. I received a detailed walk-through and explanation of the equipment and processes, which helped boost my confidence for the class. The place was clean and well organized. I never felt lost, and my questions were quickly answered by a readily available staff member. Moreover, coach Morgan was awesome! She checked on me throughout the class to ensure I was comfortable with what we were doing, and that I was at the right level or intensity. Overall, great place, awesome staff, and an excellent workout.

2022-08-24I like that the workouts are different every day, the music is jamming and the coaches are supportive but still push us. The front-of-house folks are always pleasant and super helpful. Its as all-around awesome place to burn some calories, build some muscle and have fun doing it!

2022-04-28I’m so angry with this studio. My whole experience there is so bad.Their cancellation policy is so bad that you need to continue having their membership for two months before you can actually cancel the membership. So PLEASE double check with them before you agree to buy that. And you always need to go to their studio to sign form UNLESS you got flu/covid. Everything is online now why can’t they just make it electronic. BECAUSE they will always find ways to persuade you to keeping you spending money or make everything postponed.Their policy doesn’t make sense.1. So I accidentally booked a class there and I called right back to them and asked them to switch the class to another studio within 2 minutes. They still insisted on charging my 12 dollars cancellation fee because of their 8 hour no cancellation policy 🙂2 I bought my membership on Feb. and they forgot Feb only has 28 days. So my first month membership only has 29 days. That’s ridiculous. They’ve been following their policy so hardly. And now when monthly membership should be 30 days they don’t follow that🙂 if I didn’t notice myself I would never know that. And actually they even want to count my free class as my first day. That’s so funny.3. I got flu a month a ago. Instead of allowing me to freeze my account for two weeks they must have you suspend for 1 month. Because that’s their policy. And because I don’t want to renew my membership. They just didn’t reactive my account 🙂I don’t why that keeps happening to me like that maybe because I’m an Asian. 🙂The staff tried to help me but every time I hear the policy didn’t allow them at the end. I don’t know whether all the others have same experience as me. But I’ m very very disappointed at those two months.

2022-08-10Jenni was the coach. Great instructions and amazing music. I’m hardly ever up here, so it was good to stop in and see new things. Front desk folk were super friendly too.

2022-06-08Non transparent policies rude Manger/Staff . Once you give your card, you are stuck. I would rather prefer F45 which has nice pause policy and they are very considerate.Especially the Avery ranch location is marketing and very trouble making. More than getting anything additional to your health, you get mental trauma going through the Manager Jamie and other front desk staff behavior. Big NO NO to this studio.

2022-04-15The staff and coaches are friendly, professional and helpful, taking their time to correct bad form and guide beginners thru the exercises. With that said you do need to take charge of your own health, motivation and do some reading on how to run, row and basic lifts. “Wing it” as you go and learnAlso Guin is awesome. Give Guin a raise

2022-08-07I started going to Orangetheory, 1 month ago. I like it. However Coach Jeni in Avery Ranch, stops the 1 hr class in 47 minutes, that is not fair. I would like someone to tell Coach Jeni, class needs to end after 55 minutes , 5 minutes of sterching .

2022-06-03Honestly there is no negative stars thats why ended up selecting the least possible.1. Pretty bad studio and greedy manager Jamie. Dont fall in to the trap of 1 free class Indeed if you are going for free class please do STOP there. Studio manager/Asst Manger pester you with all creepy marketing skills untill you sign. Then they show their colors.2. They say one thing while talking and texing and fill something in their docusign documents. When there are tens of pages not many review all pages, thats where they take advantage by showing their witty tactics.3. This studio is big NO-NO-NO guys. Please do understand the pain.4. Again Again, dont fall in to trap of free class and sign-up. Once you give the card, you are completely surrendered, Thats it folks big no-no. Show your finger after first call and let them go hell.

2021-10-02For anyone looking for a great all body workout, including cardio and strength, I highly recommend Orangetheory and especially the Avery Ranch location. Since I moved to North Austin, I have consistently been going to Avery Ranch OT and the front desk staff are always incredibly helpful. My favorite coach above all is Michelle. She always motivates me to be my best self in class. Michelle has a positive attitude during class that is contagious. She makes the benchmark days fun which pushes everyone in the class to new heights. I looked forward to continuing to achieve new benchmark milestones under Michelles direction. Thank you for all your hard work keeping us going. And thank you Avery Ranch OT for being an amazing team!!!

2021-06-22The coaches are knowledgeable and friendly. I love the energy of the dynamic workouts. I love the flexibility of cardio options, including the rowers. Most of all, I love the community. I am a stay at home mom and even if I don’t speak to anyone, I enjoy the adult time that Orangetheory provides.
