Wonderful dentist. Great staff. They make you feel so comfortable and at ease. It is a scary thing getting your teeth worked on, but if getting dental work could be pleasant Dr. Trevino makes it so. Always an A+ experience at Palm Valley. Setting appointments is a breeze, teeth cleanings are fast but thorough, and both dentists are so pleasant & nice. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll probably never love going to the dentist, but this team always makes my visits easy & painless! Would definitely recommend.

This was my first time here. Dr. Trevino was so professional & thorough in my evaluation. I don’t think I’ve ever had an oral exam like this…ever! All of the staff at the clinic were so kind. Monica took her time with the cleaning, was very attentive & caring. I talked about how excellent everything was that one of my friend’s already made an appointment to see Dr. Trevino also!! Amazing place! Everyone here is awesome! Front desk duo Alma and Ashlee have got such a welcoming vibe, Caleb and Monica are great with my family hygiene care, the doctors are straight forward and Honest which means so much to me. The assistants are great in helping us with questions and keeping my kids calm. They even put on their favorite cartoon on the TV! Oralia thank you for clarifying my insurance as well. I recently had to find a new dentist after my dentist retired. I found Palm Valley Dental as I was scrolling through Facebook. I read the positive reviews and decided to give them I try and I’m so happy that I did! First of all, their office staff is super friendly both on the phone and in person. Their office is very “cozy” and welcoming. Their hygienist is super nice and very thorough when she is cleaning your teeth. The dentists are a husband and wife team. She is very, very nice and welcoming. She is very thorough when she examines your teeth and is super patient. Their office is very state of the art. I was able to see photos of my teeth as she pointed out the good and also whatever needed to be worked in or improved. I highly recommend Palm Valley Dental. They treat you like family. I’m so glad I found them!!!’

I’m a Winter Texan from Minnesota and have never needed to see a dentist during my stay in the Valley until today. I had a crown come off while flossing my teeth last night and immediately began an online search for a local dentist. There were a couple of positive reviews for Palm Valley Dental so I contacted them for an appointment.I called and was able to get in within just a couple of hours. Everyone at the clinic was very nice and friendly. Dr. Torres, and his assistant, had my crown reattached in short order.Thanks very much for your quick service with my dental situation!

Literally, the first time ever at dentist, went in terrified, left informed on my dental care/plan, and scheduled my return visit for the in depth cleaning. Overall, great experience, staff & doctor were attentive, professional and very receptive to all my questions and even the nervousness I displayed.

I had been looking for a dentist and I was referred by a relative to Palm Valley. I am happy that I decided to schedule an appointment. I felt very comfortable and informed. I have a plan to take care off and upkeep my dental health. Overall, if you’re looking for a dentist, this is the place! Come, you’ll be in good hands!
Dr. Trevino and Dr. Torres are a great team and their staff is super friendly. I came to their office for a second opinion and never looked back. We had recently moved here and the first dentist we found tried selling me on unnecessary procedures for both of my children as well as multiple unnecessary fillings. I explained this to their staff when scheduling my appointment and they were super helpful and scheduled us an appointment ASAP! Dr. Trevino was very thorough in her first visit with my children and showed genuine concern in treating my children. Needless to say, my children did not need half of the treatment this other dentist was trying to sell us and Dr. Trevino’s treatment plan was much more conservative. Both Dr. Trevino and Dr. Torres treat my children like patients and speak to them directly not only about their dental care but also about their interests and likes. I do not live in Edinburg but am happy to drive in from Mission so that my children have positive and enjoyable experiences in a dental office.

I havent been to the dentist for years due to feeling nervous and feeling like i wasnt going to be able to afford to fix my teeth. First visit at palm valley dental and at first i was nervous but they really make you feel cared for and treat you so well that my first visit changed my mind about visiting the dentist. They answered all my questions and concerns and they made a plan for me to get back on track with my dental work. Best dentist office i have ever visited and i highly recommend them to anyone needing work done. Hope this encourages others to visit!!!
I went in about a week ago for a standard filling and cleaning. I knew that the tooth I needed the filling for had a pretty huge cavity, so I assumed that he would fill that cavity. He also said my teeth looked really good and that I didn’t have any more cavities. Three days later, the tooth was bothering me a little, so I checked the tooth with my little mirror, and noticed that the huge cavity was still there!! I also saw that my upper back tooth ALSO had a huge cavity which he didn’t mention. I called the following morning and told them the issue, and they said I could go in immediately. The dentist says, “Oh those aren’t cavities. They’re teeth stains.” I was shocked. I told him that I knew I wasn’t a dentist, but I was pretty damn sure that those were cavities. He says nope! They’re teeth stains. Refusing to accept this, I scheduled an appointment with another dentist for a second opinion. Turns out I was correct! Not only did I have two HUGE cavities, but I had a total of 7 cavities!!! I am so upset and angry. The dentist at Palm Valley is very nice and sweet and the staff is helpful. BUT I am extremely disappointed with their services. I know my teeth better than anyone and when teeth are black or brown with obvious signs of erosion, it is extremely hard to accept that they are just “stains”. You will always know your body better than anyone else, so whenever you don’t feel like what you’re being told is correct, you have every right to question it and seek a second opinion.
My experience with Palm Valley Dental & Orthodontics was amazing. I had questions and all where addressed in a high professional manner. The office was very friendly greeted me with a smile and answered my billing questions. Both Dentist are absolutely superb. They have a way to make you feel comfortable. I know a dentist office “comfortable” but it is true. You need to give them a chance and believe me you won’t regret it. My family are thankful for there expertise and care they provide. Today the doctor called just to do a follow up on the procedure and ask how if I felt any discomfort or had any questions. This is why I took the time to right this review. If any one reading this and had a bad experience with other dentist give Palm Valley a call they will make you smile!!!!

My 4 year old loves going to get her dental checkups at Palm Valley Dental. From the moment we walked into the office we were greeted, and felt welcomed. The staff was kind and informative when asked questions. The nurse made it fun for my daughter to take her teeth x-rays. The dentist took her time to explain what she was going to do, and addressed concerns. We have been there twice, and both times my daughter had a great experience. Thank You to the staff and dentist for making my daughters dentist visit educational. She was excited to be there, and enjoyed her experience.
I have been going to Dr. Trevino for a few years now and it has been the best experience I have had with dentists. Dr. Trevino is everything a doctor should be: she genuinely cares, she is very thorough and does an excellent job. I have extreme anxiety when it comes to my teeth, but she always puts me at ease and makes the experience comfortable and pleasant. She has gone above and beyond to help me and Im so thankful that I found Palm Valley. All of the staff is very helpful, friendly and patient and I dont have a single complaint. This place is a gem in the Valley and I cannot recommend them enough!

Great visit with a great team that just takes care of your teeth. Everyone there was very kind and fun to talk to. The wait was not long. Ive been to a lot of RGV dentist that try to push services on you that are not covered by insurances, or minimally covered. That always seemed like a revenue generating strategy. This team is very professional.
First visit today, Everyone was so nice! I havent been to a dentist in sooo long and I didnt feel judged for my teeth. They educated me on why treatments were needed and gave me price breakdowns before any work was done. Would recommend all of my friends and family.

Almost my whole family goes here and we all love Dr. Trevino and Dr. Torres! Its been almost 6 years since Ive had any dental work done so I was a bit nervous about it but Dr. Trevino and assistant Sandy were amazing. Dr. Torres also took a moment to pop in and say hello. She took the time to explain all the work I needed and answered any questions I had. Shes more than just a dentist she is a very caring and empathetic person who really cares about her patient. Both Dr Trevino and her assistant Sandy were both very sweet and gentle, making sure I was completely comfortable. It was my first visit and they took me inside pretty quickly! just with that I was pretty impressed, cause Ive always heard from others about log wait times theyve experienced at other clinics in the rgv area, so kuddos to front desk. Then all the staff that attended me from the dental assistant, to dentist to hygienist were very cordial and addressed every single one of my questions and I felt very at ease. even had a minute for small talk. My periodontist sent me here. Then they referred me to another. I didn’t like the reviews of the other periodontist and kindly asked to send my results to my first choice periodontist. They never called me back nor answer my periodontist calls to get my results. I had to go through everything all over again because they didn’t want to work with my periodontist. Be careful and ask questions! So you don’t waste your time and money.

Decided to try this office for my daughter and I after 2 yrs away. Dr Catherine was EXTREMELY detailed and informative. In all my years never had I had a dentist explain so much about my teeth. She not only listened to the issues but gave the solutions and reasons as to why. It takes a special dentist to explain that patiently to the patient without judgment as to why they switched or why they havent returned. Finding a dentist that geniually cares is hard. Dr Catherine showed that during our visit. Thank you for easing my fears, and calming my nerves. I look forward to my future and my childrens future dental work.

Wow! Palm Valley Dental was wonderful! Everyone made you feel welcomed. Everyone was professional and kind. Catherine Trevino, DDS was very welcoming to myself and my daughters. My little girls were nervous but she made them feel calm with her kind words. She engaged in conversations with them. She also explained everything she was doing as she went along. She also gave them certificates for cavity free teeth. I went ahead and made an appointment for myself! Thanks for making it a great experience for my girls!!!!

Going to the dentist can be very nerve-wracking, Dr. Trevino and her staff are kind and understanding, they ensure that you get the right treatment and throughly explain preventative measures. I was very comfortable with noisecancelling headphones, watching my favorite music videos during treatment. Overall had a great experience, cant wait to go back again.

I had a horrible tooth pain all day Sunday. This morning I woke up looked up Palm Valley Dental, and had the convenience of texting the personnel at Palm Valley to inform them I had an emergency and needed to be seen right away. My text was returned within minutes and I was asked to come in at 9am. I was seen right away even though they had a full schedule and was given a diagnosis and antibiotics right away. All personnel including Dr. Treviño were very kind and professional. I highly recommend Palm Valley Dental & Orthodontic.

Love love love this practice and Dr. Prida! I broke my tooth and was in a frantic when I had to have it extracted. I was even more concerned with what I was going to do after the fact. Dr. Prida and his staff assured me that they would take care of me as easily as possible. I was nervous about an implant because I thought it would be painful. I was way wrong! It was the best experience I have had! The placement of the implant was so easy and I never felt a thing. Even the days after I had zero pain and the site healed up perfect with no complications! The impressions for the crown went just as smooth! Zero pain and very quick process! I can not wait to see him and his staff again and to send my family and friends to him that are looking for a dentist!

Dr. Prida’s staff provide cutting edge service with the care and patient attentiveness that I have not experienced at any other office in the valley. The staff’s main priority was my care and comfort. The crowns that I had placed were identical to my natural teeth in shape and color. My reaction, and the reaction of my wife when she saw my crowns, was “wow, you can’t even tell they’re crowns”. They have a great schedule the takes into consideration school and work hours, which was a decisive factor in not only choosing A plus smiles for myself, but for my wife and children as well. Dr. Prida is an Army veteran who also serves in the Texas National Guard, and volunteers his time in providing free dental services to low income areas of the valley through Operation Lone Star with the Texas National Guard. I was lied to , by same girl Lupita ,I had issue with when it was A+Smiles, she said ,we are new staff and new dentist. I said , great! Because I had bad work done by both dentist, AND STAFF, at same location when it was A + smiles . She assured me , nooooo... we are, new staff, new dentist. Continued to give me appointment. I proceeded to go in.MARCH 28, 2019 RITE AWAY I NOTICED BOTH GIRLS IN FRONT WERE SAME GIRLS I HAD ISSUE WITH .LUPITA AND HEAVY SET GIRL I DONT KNOW HER NAME, SO, IF YOU WANT TO BE LAUGHED AT, GOSSIPED ABOUT, AND CHARGED FOR SERVICES NOT RENDERED, GO THERE.!!! THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THEY DID TO ME . ALSO GUY TOOK XRAYS OF MY MOUTH PROCEEDED TO TAKE PLASTIC OFF, WHICH IS VERY UNSANITARY...THIS WAS WHEN THEY WORKED FOR FOR A+SMILES.I CALLED STATE BOARD AND COMPLAINED... AND WENT TO SPEAK WITH LAWYERS ABOUT BAD WORK AND A+SMILES IS NO LONGER OPERATING ,THEY SOLD PRACTICE TO PALM VALLEY DENTISTRY.*On Thursday, March 28, New Dentist, from palm valley dentistry did meet and greet with me and a visual of my mouth also felt around my gums for cancer. She made me referral ,to a dentist works out of harlingen and is no where near me. Her reason was ,because she is pregnant, and cannot do extractions.I THINK I SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD FROM BEGINNING, BEFORE THEY TOOK X-RAYS THAT SHE CANNOT DO EXTRACTIONS, THAT WAY MY TIME IS NOT WAISTED....BECAUSE I CLEARLY WROTE DOWN WHAT I AM THERE FOR ,JUST LIKE EVERY DENTIST YOU HAVE TO FILL OUT PAPERWORK, BEFORE BEING SEEN. I FILLED IN THAT I WAS IN ALOT OF PAIN AND TOLD HER EVEN DRINKING WATER WAS PAINFUL SO WAS EATING.I went to Dr.FREY office in Mcallen, in person, the specialist she sent me to , make an appointment, he was in office , but could not see me until ( MAY ).Because ,he is a specialist, and very booked. I asked him while he came up to front desk, Can pregnant dentist do extractions? He laughed, and said YES, and the only thing she could not do us my x-rays.Next day, Friday March 29, I went to another specialist, Dr.Ochoa .I was seen same day, and made a sooner appointment for my 2 extractions..I asked him same question. Can pregnant dentist do extractions?...He laughed, and said of course. She just cannot do your x-rays.***This was my experience, So in the end, I am glad I did not continue to go there, and be seen by 2 face staff, and I ended up going to a specialist dentist.

2022-06-29I’ve gone to many different dentists in my life and none have provided me with as much of a thorough and pleasant experience as I have had at Palm Valley Dental. The environment is warm and inviting, both through the decor as well as the employees. The receptionists are kinda and helpful. The dental hygienists are always exceedingly thorough and seem genuinely interested in speaking to me about my dental concerns as well as my personal life. I love Palm Valley Dental because I always genuinely look forward to catching up with with Dr. Treviño and the rest of the staff, and most importantly, I know that my dental health is in good hands.

2022-08-12I went in yesterday for an extraction for my wisdom teeth. I was very nervous since I have never had extractions done before, the moment I got there the stuff is so friendly so helpful they took good care of me and I did not feel a single thing it was such a smooth process and honestly I would come back for more instructions if I had any more left lol. They check up on you the day after to see how you’re feeling and how you’re doing which I personally think is amazing and speaks volume of the stuff and the doctor. I am happy to say that I have found the doctor that I will be sticking with as I do not trust many. If you’re looking for a good staff or a good doctor this would be the perfect place for you overall I loved my experience

He was kind and I LOVED the fact that they were all very honest and didn’t try and convince me to buy or get some unnecessary procedure or product like the last place I went. 2022-05-03It’s been 20 plus years I’ve visited a dentist office due to my experiences as a child. I started praying about it as an adult, asking God to help and guide me to find a place where they would understand me, have patience with me etc.All I can say is God is amazing.
