Wonderful place to catch a movie or watch live performance. One of those old theater houses, so nostalgic!!!
My husband and had a date night.We saw WHITE CHRISTMAS.Love this theater!BUT the seat size is small and uncomfortable!

Our granddaughter was in the Nutcracker at this beautiful place. It is just a fun place to go for any show. Abilene has a treasure in the Paramount Theater.

This gem of Abilene was up to its usual outstanding par. What an amazing showcase for the little ballerinas on up to the more seasoned performers.I heard a youngster behind me refer to the twinkling stars as fireflies and it made me smile.
Great experience of the Theatre in its original state. Fun time and they bring in good movies, some great entertainers and speakers. A real Plus and Spotlight for the Key City!

The most beautiful theater... I was hoping for a movie theater hot dog, but the lack of that was really the only downside... I would love to see a couple sections of modernized seating, I would pay a premium ticket price for that...

Amazing theater downtown with affordable prices staffed by friendly volunteers who love this local treasure. Any event is worth attending to soak in the beauty of this venue. Every town should be so fortunate to have something of this caliber to call their own. Concessions on bottom level, restrooms on multiple floors, easy street parking for blocks around.
This Theater has always had such a magical feel to me, especially as a child. I spent half the movie looking up at the moving clouds and twinkling stars on the ceiling! Here’s to 90 more years!!
My daughter and I recently visited Paramount to watch the Sound of Music. We both really enjoyed it. She enjoyed it so much she wanted to watch it again!Popcorn and other snacks are reasonably priced, if not INexpensive. The feel of this place is what I keep coming back for. Theyve done an amazing job of keeping the classic feel. We love going, and well be back soon.
This place was great, it had a old era feel. It looks like it is a historical theatre, hopefully it stays open forever. We need these kind of things from the past to stay so that other generations can see them and experience them as people have from generations past.
Beautifully restored classic theater in a downtown area. Floor level and mezzanine seating options. Have attended two different featured events including the nutcracker ballet performance and the 24fps international film festival. Films and performances are shown on a regular basis.
A quaint old time theatre. Well renovated and kept up. With an excellent piano player before the movie and during intermission it was delightful entertainment. Not great for the elderly who have trouble with stairs but there is a restroom on the main floor to accommodate those who cant do stairs.

Super fun place to see! I went for a movie, and it had all the grandeur that movie theatets used to have! Curtain rolling up and everything! The seats are comfy, but dated. I wont mark it agains them, though, because that is part of the charm.

Its a beautiful theater, accessible to parking. Its a wonderful part of Abilenes history and the people working there are helpful and friendly.
Nicely renovated structure. Terrible sound system. Seats comfy enough tho not nearly as much as movie theaters. Programming so so, focusing on past classics. The annual 24fps short film festival (1st weekend in November) is a pretty good showing of 32 or so 5 to 20 minute films of all types done in 3 sessions (1 on Friday eve, 1 on Saturday afternoon, and 1 Saturday eve).Would be great if they were to show lots of arts films plus many of the thousands of festival films during the year.
Super cool place. Walking in feels like stepping back in time to old Hollywood. The movies are fun and well priced, as are concessions. Shout out to the Piano Man! He makes the intermissions fun.

The only way to view classic movies. Tonight was The Wizard Of Oz...outstanding experience to see and enjoy this movie. Great to watch young children watch this movie as well.
This landmark of Abilene Downtown is a beautifully restored piece of history and plays a key role in Abilene arts and entertainment. Definitely worth many visits.

I love the old movies they play here, and the atmosphere is like no other. It is a fun place to go for a date night or with a group if friends.
Nice old fashioned theater...unless you are a bit..hmmm...lets say voluptious in the seat. Their seats are quite the opposite rather thin and narrow. Its a bit of a tight squeeze!! :)

Took granddaughter to see Titantic. Tickets on line, less expensive tickets and concession than other theaters. Beautiful interior.

Saw my cousin perform in the newseis Disney musical play, and the theater was amazing the staff were helpful and the concession stand was quick and easy

The Paramount is an intricately decorated movie theater where patrons get to enjoy classic film in the charming and glamorous environment of yesteryear. I live in Abilene and the Paramount is always a hit with guests visiting from out of town.

2021-11-26My family and I had a tradition when I was younger to go watch the Abilene Ballet Company put on The Nutcracker every Christmas and recently decided to start up the tradition again with my niece. This beautiful and historic building is the perfect location for this production and it definitely gave me the nostalgic feels! All year round The Paramount will show classic movies, including Gone With the Wind and White Christmas. Highly recommend you go check this place out and enjoy a show under the stars!

2021-12-06We had our Tige kids Christmas party yesterday. Paramount is an excellent venue. We had hundreds of parents and kids attend. The staff were very accommodating and professional. Such a beautiful building and historic site. First class all the way.

2019-11-24This is a well kept old theatre. They have done a fantastic job keeping a piece of history well restored for everyone to enjoy. It has a stage for live performances as well as a screen they put movies on. I believe the theatre seats 1100. There are concessions down below in the basement. The bathrooms are on the second floor and were clean and well kept. I would recommend attending something here just to see the theatre.
