I booked my appointment on line for my puppy to be groomed. And I have taken my puppy they are before. Every time I’ve always gone it’s always a new group of groomers. I typically pay $51 to have my miniature Schnauzer groomed. The last time I took him I noticed when I made it home that half of his face was groomed and the other side was not! I just kind of blow it off. Today when I took him in all of the groomers seem to be confused. Then when they finally found the information online. The groomer came out ask if he was friendly he’s clearly jumping up and down and wagging his tail. Took him to the back came back and told me it would be $81.00! I ask why she told me because his hair was tangled on his front two legs and the where in tear on the clippers. I’m confused. I am a licensed cosmetologist for over 25 years I do not charge my customers where in tear on the implements that I use on them!.. this is ridiculous! I took my puppy to another groomer and paid $50.00 + gratuity… I don’t recommend taking your puppy there.
I took my dog to get groomed and he is 15 pounds (shitzu/mini poodle mix). The groomer, Vania R., said my dog was under a golden doodle and said it was an up charge.I said okay to that, but when I came back to pick up my dog I got up charged again because the groomer said my dog peed on her and tried to bite her. She went into unnecessary/ embarrassing details in-front of another customer, groomer was also very rude when answering my questions about the haircut. I have been here before a couple times and I have never had complain about my dog and I have always paid the same amount. This time it was over $100 for my small dog. I will not be coming back.
This place was a good place for and shopping and I really enjoyed how convenient it was to do what I arrived for as well as how being served didnt request too much in order to enjoy. If youre looking for something that fits in these parameters then this is a good place to go. Was looking for something I didnt really get to purchase but customer service wasnt bad at all.
Very disappointed with the cut given to my puppy. The lady who cut his hair didn’t cut his sanitary area at all and still charged me for full price. I also did not receive the bandana which I paid for in the top pup deal. I’m very upset with the way the groomer treated my puppy as she just complained to me about how he needs to get fixed (he’s not old enough yet) and that he needs to be put in training (he’s already enrolled in) and many more unneeded advice in a rude way. I also stopped by the store as it had been 4 hours since I dropped him off and heard/saw him yelping and the groomer didn’t comfort him or settle him down at all. I’m very disappointed as I would think that petsmart groomers would be more careful and understanding to new puppies getting groomed. I will not be taking my puppy to petsmart anymore for any services.
I’ve been using this location’s grooming services for over 10 years for several of my pups and have never had any issues... until Saturday 04/17/21. Dropped off my 2 chihuahuas for their bath and nail grind appt. They called me almost 4 hours later to say they were ready for pick up. Immediately noticed they didn’t have bandanas on as they always have had in the past and didn’t receive their report card, but didn’t quibble about it. Paid $84 and left the store. As soon as I got in the car I noticed one of my dogs (Izzy) hadn’t been bathed at all. She was still dirty and had the same doggy smell she had when I dropped her off. The other one (Minnie) had a faint fragrance scent. I immediately went back inside with Izzy and asked who bathed her and no one could remember if they bathed her or not. They just kept looking at each other and acting like they didn’t know. They offered to bathe her at that time but they’ve already had her sitting in a cage for 4 hours so our time there was done. They finally called a manager who reluctantly gave me a refund of $27. Once I got home I checked my other dog more closely and I highly doubt she had been bathed either. I bathed both of them myself. Quite the racket they’ve got going with their current groomers not providing the services you pay for. I basically paid $57 for nail trims. They just lost a 10 year customer.
This Petsmart always has what I need for my kitty in stock, which is great! I’ve had some less than great experiences with them however.Today I placed an online order & the girl on the phone was really helpful. I asked if my order could be ready in 30 minutes & she made it happen. When I arrived for curbside, I had to call 3 times. The first two attempts I pressed the button for curbside & BOTH times someone picked up the phone and hung it up without saying a single word to me. It takes a matter of seconds to answer the phone and put someone on hold if you’re busy. The third time I decided to hit the button for grooming instead & was able to actually get someone on the phone, who transferred me to her manager. She tried to tell me that their phone at register one drops calls that are put on hold sometimes, which would have been a semi-understandable reason for what happened had someone actually addressed me when they picked up the phone & asked to place me on hold.My other less than great experience with them was when I brought my cat in to have his claws trimmed. It was super last minute but squeezed us into the schedule for the day, which was awesome. Upon returning home we realized that his front claws had not been touched at all. The explanation was that the tech (or doctor, idk) who had done the trimming was told that he didn’t have front claws. We were never asked whether or not he was declawed, so I’m not sure how this misinformation even came about.So, pros & cons.
I took my 1yr old husky to get groomed for the very first time here and it went great. My pup looks very clean with his outline trim and smells really clean also. Keep in mind that my dog isn’t a very big fan of baths or being brushed but from the looks of the employees they all seemed surprised he was very docile.
Brittany in grooming did a amazing job on my older schnauzers this morning! We did the express service an they were done sooner than I expected. The girls back there seemed very nice and had my boys in the already in the front chilling when I got back. Great experience today.
Had an appointment scheduled for my little pup to get a haircut & Brittany L. canceled my appointment by saying that another dog needed more attention. Even though my appointment was BOOKED ahead of time.She was speaking in a rude tone of voice and didn’t want to groom my dog.So unprofessional, would NOT recommend coming here. Most slots are with her!
I normally love this place, but after today I will never shop Petsmart again!!! I had to return 2 items I had gotten the week before ( doggie car seat & a harness they just didnt work out for my pup). I had the receipt that clearly showed the 2 items on it. The cashier was very unfriendly and rude. She told me that she couldnt refund the amount for the harness because the tags where gone. I told her there were no tags on it to start with. She said she still couldnt do anything. I ask for the manager and she wasnt much better. I explained I have the receipt and that there were no tags to start with. She tried to tell me the same thing the cashier did. At this point Im frustrated. I ask for a store credit and we go back and forth about the tags on it. The manager goes and grabs another harness just like it and what do you know there are no tags on it either. Finally the manager gives me a refund after 20 minutes of hemming and hawwing. Never again!! Ill go to Petco now on for all my puppy needs.
Joanne was extremely helpful with assisting me with a potty pad training tray and the Thundershirt for my chihuahua, Luna. She even tried the Thundershirts on Luna to get the right size. Joanne went above and beyond excellent customer service!!!! I even bought the dog treats she suggested. A++++++ to Joanne!!!!
I took my dog to get groomed and we already had an appointment, they took over 6 hours to return it to us. They did a very cute hair cut but they made a cut on my dogs bottom!!! 😡😡😡 I wouldn’t mind if my dog would be a difficult dog but I know my dog and she is very docile and calm. I never have any issues with other locations.
Its my go-to place for anything my pup needs! Mostly because its close and convenient, but also because the staff there has never been anything but helpful and upfront about what they recommend, being I was a new pet owner. The puppy training was great too, and Alex is splendid at what he does and knows how to work well with the owners and pups. Its a win-win!
Store is useful to buy pet supplies, when you cant wait for online delivery. Skip the services.We took our dog for grooming and specifically asked to not trim her nails. The staff ignored our request and not only did so, but did it wrong and our dogs paw was bleeding.Also, they didnt listen to our instructions for grooming and our dog was not groomed properly.
Much better than it used to be. The Reptiles used to be in horrible condition, but after a few weeks of talking to the employees and eventually managing to talk to the guy taking care of the reptiles, they improved the enclosures. Not quite a 5 star place, but still very nice.
Cancelled my grooming appointment same day, then claimed they called me to inform me when I received absolutely no phone call. Didn’t offer to help me find another appointment or anything. Terrible customer service in the grooming department. Will no longer be support petsmart.
I come here for a few items for my cat, and I’m usually able to get some good deals on items. I do wish, however, they had a slightly better selection of litter boxes. Maybe when I’m there, they sizes I’m eyeing are just sold out, but usually I only find litter boxes the size to serve an army of cats only a hoarder can tame.
Ordered a bag of dog food online to pick up (in stock) at store. I arrived at the store about 30min later with my receipt and was told the order would take up to 2 hours to process, but the store closes in 30min. I suggested to just let me grab one from the shelf and use that as my order.Unfortunately these geniuses told me they were unable to process it that way and Id have to come back the next day or pay for a separate bag. My dogs were completely out of food, so I bought a bag (which was $13 more as an in-store purchase) and called customer service to cancel my online order.What a hassle for something I already paid for, they have on the shelf, and arent capable enough to make the adjustment at the store. Clown service at best in this case.
Petsmart will never get my business again. Made an appointment today for my dog to get groomed today at 6 when I arrived the lady checking me in for my appointment asked me if my dog was sick or had anything like heart worms etc. I of course didn’t want to lie so I told her she was low positive for heart worms but is almost completed with her treatment. The lady proceeded to tell me I needed to have something from my vet stating she was okay to get groomed or she could take a verbal over the phone. I of course didn’t have anything in writing because I was NOT aware I needed this and my vet is only open on certain days of the week. NOWHERE does it state this policy on the website. There should be some kind of disclaimer while making an online appointment OR someone should call before a customer brings their dog all the way up to the store to confirm this info. I completely WASTED MY TIME! I understand there are policies BUT please make it know on the website at least. You lost a customer today Petsmart. Took her back to the first place I brought her last time which was Petco. Wonderful customer service there and all they do is make you sign a waiver for heart worms. Also teach your employees some customer service as well they were extremely rude and seemed to not care they wasted my time. I never leave negative reviews but this situation really bothered me.
DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR BUSINESS. Been coming to this location for about 2 years now but recent employees they hired are terrible. I went there to buy the usual cat food Ive always gotten from them and they wouldnt accept the prescription my vet had provided me with. Whats worse is they talked to me like I was stupid and didnt know what I was doing. Also waited forever for someone to help me with a prescription card and no one ever showed up. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Will not be coming back.
I adopted a dog today and was told I could bring him in for a discounted groom and a free dog kit/food. So I called to ask if this was at any location or certain locations, and the lady told me that I should have received a coupon inside my folder, which I did. So I went ahead and set up an appointment. I had to run errands before the appointment and I was done a lot sooner than I thought, so I walked around in the store just killing time for about 30 min when I went ahead and walked towards the grooming room. Once inside, the lady didn’t even smile and only greeted me because I had greeted her first, and when I told her my dog had heart worms but was already on medication, she explained why they couldn’t bathe my dog because they didn’t want his heart to race or anything. I left, pretty upset but didn’t show it not only because they could’ve but told me from the beginning about it , otherwise I could’ve just bathed my dog at home in the first place, but I felt like she treated us less than normal because either my dog was adopted or because I was using a half off coupon. I think that before someone sets up an appointment they should ask all those questions over the phone so that way I don’t drive down there and waste time for nothing.
Great group of people that work here. Theyre very nice.Have went in here before and they have rescue groups with kittens or puppies or dogs that need to be adopted out.Not this location, but other pet smart locations have animals in them from the fort Worth Animal shelter and they can be adopted there as well!Its also a good place to walk your dogs through, to socialize them with people and other dogs.I tend to go to another location and get my dogs nails trimmed. But I will only go to either PetSmart or my vet with my dogs.
I took my pets to get bathed at this location for the first time and Im seriously disappointed. I used to work for this company and did the exact same job I took my pets to go get seen for and I never thought I would as mad as I am. Please note this is the first time ever I have made a complaint for any company. My pets were at the grooming salon for almost 5 hours and at the pick up they were BOTH still so wet and smell like wet dogs. I paid $160 dollars for no reason. Ill never visit this petsmart again.
I hate to write bad reviews but I really do not like this store.. I ask for help and I literally wait 15-20 mins before someone actually comes. The staff is very friendly and all but the wait is what irritates me. Also, I went to buy crickets (small) and the lady just threw whatever was left which were HUGE. My reptile does not eat big crickets and this lady gave me the left offers. Not ok.
Dont take your dog to get groomed here. I took my poodle mix in to get a SHORT summer cut and when I got him back, he looked the same as he did before. They barely cut any of his hair - I could have done a better job myself. They also added on flea and tick shampoo for $7 without calling and asking me first making my total bill $50. The staff is rude and does not care about your fur babies. I recommend anywhere else!
I like the store. the workers are always friendly. I got a free coupon book from them for adopting my dog from a partnered rescue. my dogs a bit timid and needs some treats before liking a person. Ive said this both times i went to the groomer here. the first time i went, the groomers cut my dogs nails back with no problem. they told me that her nails were still a little long because her quick was so long (she didnt cut the quick so my dog did OK, but not great, during the process). the second time i went, i was told that my dog was so terrible that she bit the worker and that my dog would need to be sedated to cut her nails. they told me that they were able to cut one paws nails down. After taking my dog home and cutting her nails myself... theres NO WAY the lady cut my dogs nails that short without cutting the quick. i hit a tiny bit of the quick at half the shortness the lady did it. no wonder my dog was upset! id start growling too if someone kept cutting me!all in all: im positive that some of the groomers cut the quick and they will blame your dog for being upset about it.
Stay away from this store. I was verbally abused by the staff as well as the gullable manager who is obviously ignorant of their ways when upper management abondon them and let them run the store. I went in close to closing and they refused service even though it was still 10 minutes to close and I had all my items in the basket, just needed to get a couple of koi. The girl who must have been a head cashier or something must of had a party to go to that night to instruct them not only to not help me, but make me feel like I had no business asking them for help in the first place. Had I bought the fish, it would have been a $100 transaction. It was $70 and I wish I would have never have given them my money. I will never step foot in a PetSmart again. Corporate did nothing but promise to call me back which they never would. I made at least 4 calls to corporate and all they did was give me about 10 reference numbers for iding my conversations with them. Complete madness. I was in tears by the time I finally just gave up. I sincerely hope this business fails. Especially after doing more research about the people they hire and how they handle customer complaints. They wont even apologize for the abuse and sometimes death their employees inflict on your beloved pets. Have respect for yourself and your pets and dont shop here.
I can only speak toward the dog grooming....and they did a terrible job. I specifically told them that the other PetSmart location did not complete all services listed, and when I picked her up from here, they were also not thorough in their work. My dog’s haircut was patchy all over her body! I don’t understand why it is difficult to check things off of a list once they are complete. I am altogether finished with PetSmart grooming!
I went in to the Fort Worth Carroll street location and was so disappointed. I had to wait in the checkout line to ask an associate a question because all other 3+ associates were gossiping at the front of the store (including manager). When I asked if I needed a prescription every time I purchased food for my cat who was newly diagnosed with kidney problems the associate said yes. Only until after I was walking away frustrated did the manger turn and say that I could get a card from Banfeild that allowed me to purchase it. I went to the back to get a new litter box and was having trouble carrying it. I dropped it on the floor a few times and couldnt get it on the conveyor belt either. Again, all the associates were gossiping and just watching me. The associate checking me out just stared at it and proceeded to scan it on the floor. Then no one helped me get it to my car outside.This was terrible service and the manger deserves to be fired for not showing her employees correct policy in helping the customer. This was around an hour and half or so before closing time but my experience in retail and food service just shows the weakness of their manager. If the leader does not show proper procedure than the ship will sink.
My husband found an abandoned puppy covered in fleas so we took him here to get groomed. He was estimated to be about 10wks old so they couldnt use flea shampoo but they had a gentle version they could use on him. When we got him back his little report said they only got 4 fleas off. Now when my husband got this dog he was crawling with fleas! So we were very surprised. She said what we were seeing was flea dirt before we even left the store my husband saw a bunch of fleas crawling all on him. When we got home we gave him another bath and were successful in getting all the fleas. Groomer Kimberly should be ashamed of herself to even call herself a groomer. Plus the puppy is tan with short hair so it was easy to spot the black fleas crawling around. Will not be returning.
The groomers behaved rudely by ignoring me when I walked into the shop. They dont know how to say, Hello, maam, how are you? How can we help you?Our computer is malfunctioning. Well be with you shortly.BadNah ... They just ignored me until I walked out. Then, they tried to say that I missed an appointment that THEY made me late for.
I took my 10 year old shih tzu to this location for a grooming & shampoo. Becca was the grooming attendent for my dog. When I arrived my dog started acting very strange with a very scared look that I hadnt seen before. Becca seemed as if she was having a bad day but I looked over it thinking he was in good hands. We finished signing everything & out of no were my dog started to cry very loudly which I also hadnt seen before, because he loves to get a good grooming. Things seemed odd so I didnt want to leave him especially after he was told to stop being dramatic, how unprofessional. I called Petsmart after leaving to make sure I tell them not to touch his finger nails at all which they insured me they wouldnt. Two hours after I left they called me stating he snapped at Becca while trimming his nails, which I told them PLEASE DO NOT touch his nails on the phone & in person. I couldnt believe the service I received because I never experienced any issues taking him to other Petsmart locations. My dog will be terrified to go to any groomer, I love my dog & if you love your furry friend PLEASE DO NOT take your pet to this location. I wont be taking him back here ever & I will not recommend this location to any of my friends or family. Horrible customer service & horrible dog service.
Hypocrisy! Refused to sell me a small fish due to my tank (40gal) size, yet ive seen dozens of fish dead in their cramped tanks. Just today, 1 dead and 3 angel fish not far from it either. I think you should worry about your fishs well being. Which have better chances of survival away from your store.
We took our small dog to have her groomed for her second time and she was scared to death and looking for a way out of there.i was watching the woman doing nails inside the glass door and she was hurting the dog she was working with because I could hear him yelping. I looked at my husband and said lets get our baby out of here and we left. There is a lot more that happened but I wont go into it at this time,needless to say we took her in the first time and told us it would be 3 hours & then called us back within the hour saying she was ready.whenwe got there she wasnt even bathed. They charged us $43! Needless to say we got our money Back! Will not be taking her back! They do not care about your baby!I would give them a 0 star if I could!
Everytime i go in there is nobody that can help. The store is so short handed always. I went to go buy some milk and food for my puppies and they took for ever to help me out. They had a meeting. I waited for the meeting to end so they could also give me my medicine for my puppies. Ridiculous
We bought an aquarium here and have been so very excited to purchase fish. While the employees weve dealt with have been great, the manager is not. Seems like others have had this experience with management too E.G.) the review where manager would not honor a 30% off sign left by employees on a product by mistake, then argued with the patrons about the situation - horrible customer service. Our experience was similar - the manager argued with my boyfriend about a return with a receipt that was also within the time period their return policy for aquarium livestock dictates. (PetSmarts policy on aquarium livestock notes that fish may be returned for any reason within 14 days) The pictus catfish we purchased was being aggressive towards our other smaller fish, today, my boyfriend went to return the pictus with the receipt in hand on the 13th day after purchasing and the manager argued with him about the return, questioned him incessantly and argued about a refund. Theres no argument here - policy says any reason. Even though this location is very close to where we live, well be going to other locations and trying out some local mom & pop tropical fish stores where customers are treated better. Buying fish for your aquarium should be a pleasant experience, what a shame
Because Ive trained and Owned personal and Security and Service Dogs! And our Animals or God Given Gifts! We have Dominion Over Them! I love animals, and I can just about Train any kind of Baby Animals!I now have a Trained $2,600 dollar Mixed Razor Edge Gotti and Part Gator Mouth Pitbull Terrier named General MaxaMillion! He Loves Fort Worths Dog Parks! Playing Football and Chasing Frisbees! But He Also Loves His Toys I buy for him at Pet Smarts!It Still Moves Me To Tears Sometimes to see his face light up when I come from Pet Smarts with toys and treats!They have those cute little doggie beds as soon as you walk in the door over on the Westside store near Camp Bowie!Gotta Luv Em!

2022-07-02Selling animals in tiny little tanks in pet stores is gross as is - but what’s especially gross is all the dead beta fish. Each individual beta fish needs at LEAST 2 gallons of space and that’s on the low side. These fish are in murky water uncared for and literally dying. They are high maintenance creatures. PetSmart either needs to retire selling them or sell significantly less. This is horrible.

2022-05-03This is my go-to location for pet food and supplies! The staff are very kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. At other stores, I have noticed that the line of customers at checkout tends to get pretty backed up, but at this location, the cashiers will promptly call for backup and open other registers, when necessary, to get customers checked out and keep things moving. This store also consistently stays stocked with a good selection of Wellness Core can cat food, which tends to be fairly popular and gets picked through relatively quickly at other pet stores in the area, often limiting the variety of options in stock.Last week, after adopting two German Shepherds, who were on Last Call to be euthanized at the shelter, I made my usual shopping trip to stock up on pet food, and I asked if there was an employee that was knowledgeable about dogs that could assist me with picking out can food for the new pups. Bry Williams was so fantastic that I just kept asking questions and was able to get our pups set up with can food, brushes, shampoo, conditioner, and bones! Shane was also very helpful in assisting me when I circled back around to have another look at the dog bones. I was very pleased with my experience, and the pups love all of their new stuff!

2022-03-15I wish I hadnt entered... I wanted to buy all the animals. There are 2 lovely cats I couldnt get, unfortunately. If youre reading this and you are a cat lover, there are 2 amazing cats in there that cannot be separated. Hopefully by the time you read this, they found a home.

2022-05-22Over all can’t complain this pet-smart is a rare gem because while others neglect their reptiles this one took care of them. I would just suggest not being rude to customers who are adopting a cat. The lady that helped me pick out my cat seemed bothered by something and was impatient. When I asked her to help me put my cat in the creat she snapped at me and said” you have to do it.” Even if it wasn’t your job to help me and it is you should probably still give proper customer service.

2022-07-04The groomers had our frenchies for about 15-20 min. Charged us way more than what was on the phone and charged us $20 for “special shampoo” being they are French bulldogs when I asked them specifically not to. “We already used it” so now we have to pay for it. On top of that we paid full price for less service and they did not cut one of my dogs nails nor did they dry him. I could have just bathed him myself in that case. Our second frenchie had a good bathe hence the 3 stars. We wont be returning

2022-05-30Great staff, and did a great job grooming my pet..Recommended.Lqet grooming experience: June 2021Not so recommend anymore. Went in early(15min) to get Leonard accustomed to the place. All I got was grief from the staff..we dont normally take them in this early and We wont/cant do anything with him unless you have proof of vaccinations.I had a copy of his vaccinations.Wait to get the call to pick him up, and they tell me he bit the groomer and charged me extra. Let me say this, there was no documentation or pictures for proof. He has never bitten anyone in the 5 years Ive owned him, and because his teeth need $7000 of work. Wont be returning.

2022-02-22Britney was very rude when I arrived over my 6 month old puppy being hyper kept “ saying your hurting me , your hurting me “ seemed like she doesn’t like her job can’t handle pups at all , never going back again! If u don’t like your job then quit & to top it off they didn’t call me when my pup was done with his bath. I arrived 3 hrs later & he was ready. Don’t like the fact that they keep them in kennels for hours after they are done! 😡
