PetSmart in other cities:
Always take my pup here to get bathed and have her nails trimmed, Teeth and ears cleaned. Staff are very sweet. I was nervous at first because I have read reviews at other PetSmarts where people have lost their dogs due to accidents while trimming or bathing the dog accidentally gets fatally injured. This location has been very good to us so far. Here she is trying on some outfits.
I was saddened by the current state of the Fish section, particularly the livestock. While it is to be expected to find dead fish in a local fish store like Petsmart, I have never seen quite as many as are at this store in particular. They were in every aquarium from fish to frogs. The turtle tank was the only one without dead livestock, but there were only 2 turtles and even that tank was filled with molded mealworms. I believe this store is poorly managed considering this state and not sure what to do about it aside from posting here hoping someone sees. I will be reaching out to Animal Control or searching online for how to report this. They should not be allowed to carry livestock!
THERE IS **NO HOTEL, VETERINARY CLINIC, OR PRESCRIPTION FOOD*** AT THIS LOCATION. Dog grooming and training available but must have proof of current rabies. Two local animal rescues on site. Never sales feeder mice, salt water fish, rabbits, iguanas, turtles under 5 inches, chicks, or ferrets. Does sale an assortment of lizards, snakes, small birds, hamsters, guinea pigs, fresh water fish, and feeder insects. One of the largest petsmarts in the area, so it offers a large variety of goods from dog clothes, cat furniture, feeding supplies, specialty/exotic animal husbandry, large aquariums, ect. Generally well stocked except when there are manufacturer shortages.
Great store, Im looking from a new best friend. The last dog I got from PetSmart at Hulen store was my best friend from four wonderfully years. It took him almost two years before he showed me that he loved me. My boy past last month and Im still miss him. So I check here to see if his friend needs a warm loving place to feel safe and find love.
I came to this petsmart because I wanted to get a name tag and engrave it, from the moment I walked in there were no associates anywhere that could help, there was a long line and only one cashier, after having to hunt down an associate, she informed us that the name tags were next to register, how inconvenient. There was a long line and I had to stand in front of it to make my name tag selection, after that frustrating experience, I purchased my tag and went to the name tag machines, which is very outdated by the way, the name tag was not made to fit in the place where I was supposed to place it, it fell and I could not get it back out. There was a long line and no associates that could help. I left frustrated and disappointed in the whole experience, will definitely not be returning. Coming from someone that works in customer service, this company should really do more as far as hiring associates that are willing to help or have customer service skills.
I have had their app. and Used their grooming services for over a year. Having been to several of their locations, I was appalled at the complete lack of cleanliness and/or odor control. I came to drop my dog for his overdue bath, and upon entering I opened my app. to see if I could get him in today at another location... No appointments were available within 15 miles of here today. So I reluctantly dropped him off. As I was leaving I called Petsmart customer service, waited on hold over 25 minutes to speak with somone. The gave pretty good lip service in being concerned, but got the feeling there would be no follow through. It is a shame. If you love your pet, I would consider anywhere else over this location. It is Nasty!! Definetly the last time my dog will be here, and perhaps Petsmart in general. Will have to see how it goes after waging a complaint...
I wished I wasnt in this wheelchair and getting over stroke cause I have been looking for a pup ..something small but once grown up with me they shall still be tiny ..Boston terrier as n Mini pup of some kind with a smart thing where if it was ever stolen I could find it.some how I am trying to think of ways to help all of you at these locations that need food and some other peoples time in helping with these animals that truly need help in finding homes and food and watering and just as important love and tenderness. ..please if anyone reading this and can afford to help in any way please do so..thank you for listening..
I am new to Texas and I’m working on a new groomer for my dog. I decided to try Petsmart. I had two previous grooms at a different location that didn’t go well. I was going to give that location one more shot and showed up discovering that I booked online at a different store. That Petsmart didn’t seem concerned and didn’t want to help me reschedule… So I consider it a God thing that I ended up at the Hulen store and with Nikki. My dog had a great experience and I look forward to Nikki being my groomer, additionally, the staff in the store and the grooming salon, everyone I encountered was so friendly and kind at the Hulen location.
Ran in 2 mins until they closed (was unaware) and had a in-store pickup order for a dog kennel that wasn’t ready yet. They ran to the back and grabbed the kennel for me and checked me out in a matter of 2 mins. AWESOME staff very friendly! Thank you to the closing crew on Memorial Day 2021! Didn’t get to catch their names but I really appreciate you guys so much!
Dog Training: Thank you so much! When Riley came to me in June, he was a piece of work that I wasnt aware of. He was very reactive towards dogs and other people. I was previously afraid of dogs, so I knew I had to get him in training. I was turned down by some trainers due to him not being able to do well in group classes. I was randomly in petsmart one day and I walked up to Alicia and talked to her about Riley. Immediately she was excited and ready to train! I was afraid of the challenge, but Alicia wasnt. After a few weeks of training, Riley began to get used to coming in, used to Alicia, and used to people! Training with Alicia really gave me the backbone I needed to work with Riley. She trained us both! She never once gave up on him! Even when he had his moments and had a backslide. She knew when to push him and when he just wasnt feeling it that day. She always gave us homework and checked in! In the months since starting, Riley has made a 360! Hes a model citizen when it comes to listening, avoiding, and doing his commands. Hes a joy with people and still breaking out of his shell with other dogs. Nonetheless, we are both so much more confident. I cant thank Alicia enough! Especially when she suggested we go to the vet to rule out anything medical. The vet ruled out aggression and determined he need some behavioral modification. When I told Alicia, she had a plan to work in tandem with the other trainer! Together, Riley made even more progress! Alicia was there every step of the way and went above and beyond for my little 6lb rescue pup! She was there for the tears, wins, and everything in between. THANK YOU!
7/13/2020 at 8:45 pm— As soon as I walked in the store instead of being welcomed in I was greeted with “we close in 15 minutes.” I was fully aware of the time, I knew exactly where my products were so I knew I wasn’t going to be long. It was just such a rude experience and it completely ruined my visit because it made me feel like a burden. As I was putting my cans in my basket I was approached my another associate who felt the need to rush me even more by telling me they closed in 9 minutes. I mean seriously, let people shop. At my job we treat a 9 am customer the same as one who walks in at 5:58 pm. The young woman working the register was very nice and friendly but the other associates were very rude.
There were plenty of service members all around the store that helped me shop for my newly adopted dog. The adoption center had no wait, and quickly provided me with my dog. A coupon book was also provided for free, which gave free dog food, along with discounts on collars, dog beds, crates, and many other things. My experience here was exceptional!
This location didnt have what I went in for but a super helpful employee named Derek went above and beyond! He checked to see if anymore were in the back and when he couldnt find any he immediately called another store! Helpful people are a rare find these days and I cant thank him enough!
Grooming/Salon Review: This is for Nattie (I believe this is how her name is spelled), she is the salon leader. She is very rude and has no manners. She always gets an attitude with the last two times I’ve been there. I WOULD NOT take your dog there to be groomed unless you want to deal with someone who always has an attitude. They also hurt my dog and said he was trying to bite them when he is NOT aggressive and has never bit anybody before. Daniel is very nice on the other hand.
Multiple people were available to help me finds the products I was looking for and answer all of my questions. Honestly, I had a very rough morning before coming with my father going into surgery, and everyone was courteous and helpful, brightening my day. I truly appreciate the sincere positive attitude of the cashier as she made polite conversation and smiled the entire time. I feel guilty not getting her name (and I opted out of a receipt today) but she had short dark hair and was working register one at around 11am on Tuesday 11-12. Thank you!
Me and my fiancee had a wonderful experience at this location. We went in to get some fish. An employee, who I believe was named Cassidy, gave us AMAZING customer service. She went above and beyond when helping us and was very informative, friendly, and gave us individualized advice on our fish and plants!I just wanted to make sure that she was recognized for her amazing service!
I didnt have any problems here. They were very helpful when I adopted my sweet cat. Shes a senior and they were great about giving me information. Plus very patient with me as well. Love my new addition to my family. This is our first cat and we are so happy! Perfect fit! Thanks for all the help!
Review for the grooming salon. I called in a few days in advance to make an appointment for a nail trim and gave my phone number. When we showed up, the lady (who based on the unique voice Im pretty sure was the same person on the phone) told me I had to have an account to have an appointment and couldnt find my phone number in the system. She told me to go to the Bryant Irvin PetSmart instead and said they do walk ins all the time. When we went there, the ladies said the policy is the same everywhere and no one does walk ins. Ended up leaving without any service. Clearly there was some screw up at this location and the groomer didnt want to admit it and was trying to get rid of us. Wont be coming to this location again.
I took my 11 Year old dog to be groomed and they did a hack job on her! Her eye was red and she had spots on her where she looked Knicked to me! They were spots on her back and her leg! Normally they do so well! I am disappointed in our service yesterday! Plus the sign says curbside service for grooming and it’s not! So how about taking that down! It’s confusing!
I have always had a great experience at the store and the groomers here. Kelsey in grooming gives phenomenal service. My pup wasn’t up to date with his vaccinations and Kelsey gave me numerous recommendations for at-home treatment in the meantime. She even took the time to ask what his diet was, regular grooming routine and call his vet to make sure shots were up to date. I was blown away with how personal and professional she was. And after I’m sure what was a busy day, she took the 10-15 minutes to really care for me and my pet. Thank you!!
I loved my Teddys haircut Lauri his groomer did a great job today Saturday 1/9/21. I know he was probably a little hard to work with because he is still a puppy 1 year old and very nosey and easily distracted also he is afraid of the blow dryer all and all fabulous job! Thanks slot Lauri.
Maybe the floor should be disinfected or mopped daily.Had more noticable smell of pet urine.Had to find everything myself no one asked me if i needed help.Guess people seem to walk around for 30 min often.Would think if i saw someone looking around an area for more than 5 min they would be helped. No problems though.Just have high expectations when it comes to customer service.( past food industry manager)
Just got a rescue dog and went to Petsmart for supplies. At that location we met Emily. She was extremely helpful and very friendly. We will definitely return for our pet needs. Also, at the same location we signed our dog up for obedience training. Alicia is the instructor and worked with our dog. Since Alicia began working with him I have seen huge improvements in his behavior. If you need any kind of training for yourdog make sure you come to see Alicia. She has a genuine interest in seeing that your dogs succeeds!
Shout out to kassidy for her great customer service! Got my fish and feeders quickly and even went back for more info after i checked out and actually saw her handle a very difficult and rude customer with professionalism rarely seen in the retail world. I would definetly go back
Not friendly. Girl at cash register was rude. She was stressin bad, had no people skills, was unprofessional, and had to call backup with 2 people in line...The whole environment and atmosphere in the store made me feel irritated. I will not be returning...Ill go to Petco, where the pets go...
I went to you store today Sat 10/30 bought some chews buy 2 get one free. I got 3 at 7.99. When checking out he rung up cheaper product for free. Not the 7.99 one. Sounds to me your teaching your cashiers to cheat people. I was a good customer of yours. I dont like getting cheated
The lady that helped us was knowledgeable and helped us make a decision on whether or not to get a new pet...we have young children and after speaking with her we ended up not getting one (which was the best decision) thank you... Other staff didnt even know we were there lol so 4 stars
We signed up for dog training here for our adopted Doberman and Alicia has been an amazing trainer. She is clearly committed to her job, is great with the pups and - bottom line - has helped us make real progress. Dog training is more about teaching people and Alicia is a joy to learn from.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE they are terrible with terrible service and attitudes. They had my poodle come out looking like a rat with cuts on her. My dog was crying when we walked in which she never does. I’ve been going to another location and moved so I thought I would try it out. Cara-Michelle is the worst. Do not use her.
This place is ok. The staff was nice enough and we did ask for help with something and were tended to pretty quick. We did bring our small dog here recently for a grooming which is supposed to include nail clipping. I know our dog is a handful but if we pay for a clipping of nails then do just that. The groomer said he wouldnt let her handle him... Ok, I understand that.. so do we get a discount since that was part of the price we paid and a service we didnt receive? I was pretty disappointed with that.
NEVER COMING TO THIS STORE AGAIN!!! Store is dirty, staff is nonexistent, and help is impossible to find. Checked on their website for grooming hours and said open till 9 most nights except sundays they closed early. Walk into the store head to the groomers sign on the front of the door says open till 9. Walk in to get nails trimmed on two dogs (in and out at Bryant Irvin location in 10 minutes) told they close at 7 so they can’t do it because they close early Wednesday and Sunday. Call two other petsmarts and they say they are open till 9 take walk ins till 830. Try to find a manager to ask why their website, doors, and automated system say the grooming department is are open till 9 if they close early finally find one after wandering around the store for 10 minutes without an employee in site. Find the manager FINALLY and explain the issue just looking for explanation. Her explanation “I don’t know what to tell you they close early on Wednesdays” so out of all the petsmarts y’all are the only one that closes early on Wednesday but your website, automated system, and grooming department door says 9?!?! So we left went to the Bryant Irvin store where the stay was friendly, attentive, and amazing had us in and out in 15 minutes! I will never be going back to this store again and I would advise others to do the same if you actually want friendly service or just service at all!
This store is well-organized, very clean, and has a great selection of products and services available for cats, dogs, and other animals. The adoption center is fast, easy, and efficient when adopting a pet of your choice. I highly recommend shopping here for all of your pet supplies and service needs. Woof!
Rude staff! Was in the middle of speaking to an employee about fish with my husband and 2 kids, when another employee walked up interrupting saying only 2 people behind blue line for fish area, so they would need to step back. We were not even BEHIND THE BLUE LINE! We were NO LONGER LOOKING AT FISH! Decided to leave without fish after that rudeness, thanks Karen!
It wasnt so much that it was PetSmart...it was the City of Ft. Worth animal adoption for $10. We went planning to adopt 2 kittens. A woman who waited on us was extremely rude...acted like she didnt want to help us. We wanted to see a little black kitten they had. She started in about how that kitten should not have been in the cage it was in. She handled the kitten pretty roughly. The cat was scared. Then hands it to me and it scratches me all on my hands. That woman should not have been working with cats. We left the store very sad for the animals she was supposed to be caring for. It was a very bad experience and we felt very sad for the animals under her care.
This location is very clean, shelves are usually stocked and full. Ive purchased many reptiles from this location and they were all of healthy weight. Staff knows a lot about the animals, but if they didnt they were honest and actually printed out a care sheet just to help us out.
We took our Border doodle puppy in there today and they were rude and complained about him, they said he was not easy to cut (5 month old). This tells me they were ruff with him and he doesnt respond to ruff treatment, he was perfect at the last place, he is a gentle loving pup. I told her multiple times to not cut him so low and to not make him look like a sissy dog with the fluffy tail and fluffy head stuff. This place is awful I will never go back there for anything.
Please pay attention to the businesses that chose to be part of the solution to the unfolding crisis. I worked hard as a nurse all day taking care of patients and desperately needed a bag of dog food for my Great Dane at 903pm. Petsmart has a register open but refused to sell me a giant bag. Pet smart, I’ve shopped you for years but this was my last visit. Please support your local healthcare providers who are working crazy hours and have hungry pets at home.
My dog had an appointment for grooming at Petsmart..I was not that pleased this time with the grooming services provided. Although this was the first time at this location. My dog looked and smelled clean but he was a bit agitated afterwards when I touched his paws. They did not provide a report card as they are required to do. I felt like my dog was just another number that came for grooming. There was no special, preciousness, welcoming feeling associated with the visit at all. The only reason I chose to take him to this location is because they were the only location with an available appointment,(now I see why) for the day I needed at that time. I usually have him groomed at the Petsmart in Burleson but they didnt have availability. I will never take him back to that Petsmart location.
I would give zero stars if it was possible. Im never shopping at this store again. Had been going here for over a decade. I complained to the manager that one of the groomers cut my dogs nails more than she had to. He was bleeding from one nail. Its also the first time this happened. She made the issue seem like it was nothing and acted as if the groomer did nothing wrong. Even the groomer got confrontational when I spoke with the manager. I thought she was going to punch me. Will NOT be coming back here again.
Ellyn thanks for making Roscoe look like a million bucks today. The cut and tail looks awesome. I am very please. See you in the next months. Ellyn is very attentive to her work it seems and I like her attentiveness to ensure customers are satisfied. Kudos to you Ellyn.
I really like PetSmart, but I will no longer be going to this branch due to the care of certain animals (namely the reptiles and fish) and the lack of knowledge the staff has of them. The Ball Pythons care is incredible poor and I can already see some health issues in the animals. I saw stuck eye caps from multiple poor sheds on one of the normals and stuck shed on the other that it was cohabd (which is extremely stressful for them) with (also a possibility of a respiratory infection). When I informed the employees, they assured me that it was completely normal because they were in shed and that they were being perfectly taken care of, but that is the furthest thing from the truth. The humidity in the Aspen lined enclosure was an absurd 30%, while Ball Pythons require a humidity of 50%-60%, and up to 75% when shedding. Not to mention that there was a dead fish that had jumped out of its tank because of a failure of the staff to ensure the lid was on. One of the workers was rude and clearly doesnt know anything about taking care of animals, or just doesnt care enough to put in the effort to keep them healthy. If you want to go to a PetSmart, make it the one by Montgomery Plaza, where they actually have staff knowledgeable about the animals they care for.
PetSmart is a very nice place if you have pets. However if you do not have pets its probably not for you. If you have children and pets, this place is for you. If you have just children and no pets, then going here will result in soon becoming a pet owner or having children who will harass you about becoming a pet owner. So in review: If Pet then Good. I personally must keep my wife and children far away from here as it generally results in a spontaneous growth in the pet population of my home.
Normally not a bad store. But yesterdays visit ended in death. We went in and bought couple items. Mainly the Tetra Aquasafe for when we do water change later. We check out and leave. Keeping everything in the bag when we got home. Late night we decided to do the water change as we werent tired. Ok, now were at the part where the dirty water is drained were starting to feel the new water from the sink and we grab the bag to grab the aquasafe. But behold there is no aquasafe in the bag. We figured it dropped out one of us took it out of the bag and put it somewhere even the kid was messing with us cuz their kids we searched for 15 minutes all over the house cant find it. We finally grab the receipt and find that even though we brought the aquasafe to the register it is not on the receipt! Therefore your cashier failed to ring up the most important item! Now we have dirty water drained, tap water filling, and NO Aqua safe to keep fish alive. No stores are open now. We had to find a Walmart who had some stuff in stock and go get it while our fish are stressing out. No name on reciept. Just community cashier 549667. And we remember her talking about her kid getting her a My little pony or a Hello kitty purse if that helps find her. If pics allowed, look at the size of my fish. I have a 10 long pleco!! Do you know how expensive it would be to buy a 10pleco?! My fish are huge, and they are dying right now because YOUR CASHIER didnt do her job 100%. We SHOULD NOT have to double check bags. We should have trust in the store that it was done right, that all items were in bag. So you cannot come back at us saying its our fault. Checking bags shows we distrust the cashier. We trusted her and Petsmart and got decieved. Now her or you owe us new fish of same size!! Good luck finding a 10 pleco if he goes and a 8 goldfish too. Your wallet wont be happy. Corporate will hear of this later today when I see how the remaining fish recover or die off DUE TO YOUR NEGLIGENCE!!!
This is the best place to shop in my area for quality pet food and supplies. If you really love your pet(s) then youll be feeding them quality pet foods that help to maintain optimal health. After all they unconditionally love you. Shouldnt they receive a quality diet in return?
The reason I am even giving this place 1 star is because I cant give it less. Three dogs they had in the back to be adopted were extremely violent - snarling, barking, and biting as us when we walked by. When my special-needs daughter tried ti ask the lady at the counter about a dog, she said she didnt have time to answer her questions and walked off. These dogs should never have been up for adoption and the staff should have been more caring. We will NOT be back!
Had a horrible experience the 2nd go around. My 3 month old puppy got a bath and nails cut here. When we picked him up his face was very wet and both of his front paws were not cleaned at all. We know because he is a white dog. When we questioned why he was still wet we got an answer of he doesn’t like the dryer in his face and we can’t kennel dry him due to his age. I took a towel and wipe his face and he was fine. We will not go back for grooming.
The adoption process was great but afterwards we bought some additional toys and items for the dog. The young lady at the front register was extremely rude. Im changing to one star because WE WERE LIED TO. I find it unprofessional to lie to a customer. They told us they would mail us coupon books because they ran out and we lived an hour away from the center. When I called up there I got told they never do that as they do not have stamps. DO NOT MAKE PROMISES YOU CANNOT KEEP!!!!!!!
Horribly run grooming business. Will never spend another dime at any PetSmarts anywhere. Made an appointment to have dog groomed at 1:30. Showed up for appointment and was told they couldnt start my dog for 3 hours and then another 3 hours for the groom. Only 2 people working and was told still had to take lunch breaks. Why have appointments and if you are that far behind, call the people so they dont waste the time to show up. Im not letting my dog there for 6 hours. Staff up and care about your customers. You just lost a lot of business as we have 4 dogs and there will be no good word of mouth advertising.
I brought in my 4 year old husky in, about 17 weeks ago, for her first day of training with her trainer Alicia. I let her know ahead of time how aggressive Athena could be and her past life. Alicia never batted an eye, she went in with full determination to get Athena where she needed to be. When we got stuck on Athena’s kennel aggression, Alicia used every resource until we found away to get Athena past it. She was patient, Athena nipped and barked at first, but Alicia continued to be patient and never pushed her any father than Athena could handle. Today Athena graduated!! We go on walks now, without fear. New people can come around and it’s not scary anymore! Alicia cares so much about each pet that walks through her doors. I didn’t ever think Athena would get to where she is now, but thanks to Alicia we got there. So, if you’re looking for a determined, caring, creative trainer Alicia is the one to pick!
I am very disappointed on how you guys do business! I asked my mother to take my dog into get a bath and a haircut. And this dog has very thin hair. The lady im guessing Ivey*-not sure of name* told my mother who has poor eye sight that he(maxx-dog) was all knotted up. That is just not true. 14 dollars for knotted hair??? My mom comes up there almost every 6 weeks for her dog to get a hc. So im guessing new dogs get swindled?
The groomers need to be trained properly. Im never a rude person but when it comes to MY dog my BABY I will be rude. They cut my dogs nails wrong and too close she couldnt even walk for a whole day because they hurt her. Shes still walking weird. And I looked it up that usually when that happens you have to take your dog to a vet for the pain, for pain medication. Thats a pricey bill. They put regular rubber bands in her ears for the bows. So now she has two HUGE mats in her hair that are pretty much knots, and they have to be cut out. They offered to fix it BUT I now dont trust them. They see your dogs as money signs and not someones pet or baby. I called them and they seemed like they didnt even care about it. Told me its 12 dollars to file her nails down and I said I shouldnt even have to pay for it because her nails were cut wrong in the first place. Also theyre FLAT not cut at an angle. Oh I also showed them a picture of how I wanted her cut and they didnt even follow it. AT ALL, so yes Im pissed, they hurt my baby and I dont think that is cool at all or professional. Anyways they wanted to file her nails down for that extra price after they already messed them up, when I explained her nails are way to short for them to do that. Like Im FURIOUS. Oh and the manager wanted me to call back at TWO. Didnt even want to talk to me. I highly recommend NOT going here. When I brought her in the girls up front didnt even greet us or try to make her feel comfortable, just took her to a cage. Not to mention it took 3 hours. THREE. And her fur is uneven all over and shes choppy, I told them to even out her ears and they made them even MORE uneven. Why does pet smart even have grooming? Cant even do it right. And they hurt my baby. If a manager reads this my dogs name is sassy. Call me. I wont beg to talk to a manager to let them know my baby is hurt. YOU call me. And resolve the issue like a manager should do.
Took my dog for a bath and a good haircut. Got him back and it looked like my 5 year old cousin got scissors and decided to cut random chunks of his hair. Probably never taking him back to a petsmart groomer. Not worth the time my dog spent there and definitely not worth the money.
Adopted a dog 10/11... and it has been nothing but problems. The dog has a serious tick borne illness, that is costing hundreds of dollars to treat. And is spreadable to people. Dog also has tapeworms, although they advertise the dog’s clean bill of health. I understand that it isnt a vetted adoption process, but you believe that the dog will at least be in SAFE health before being adopted out, or if it has something more serious, that you would see that on their adoption form. Absolute dishonesty. This is why these dogs end up back in the shelter system, they come with unmentioned problems that cause a huge commotion in their new homes.
WORST customer experience I have EVER had. Out of all the places I have ever been to, I have never been so disrespected by anyone like your employee, Jennie. After purchasing over $140 for my dog, she simply refused to change the one $9 item that rung up incorrectly but had to do this with such unnecessary impudent service creating quite a scene. This Petsmart must have been extremely desperate to hire such impertinent employees with such improper training and such terrible customer service to both people and dogs. Go to this Petsmart if you like having eyes rolled at you and rude scuffs at your small puppy by Jennie. If you dont want to comment on my sincere thank you as I am leaving, thats fine but at least wait till Im done getting my stuff before you start helping the customer behind me. Ill stick to Petco from now on.
On Tuesday, February 19, 2019 I was greeted and assisted by friendly employees, even though the doors were opened minutes prior ro regular business hours. Thank you for the friendly service! Instead of saying were not open yet I assisted. Thank you for going above and beyond!
Went here to look at adoptable dogs and was not very impressed some of the dogs were not at an adoptable stage some were a little to aggressive and needed alot more work to be ready to go to a forever home ive spent most of my life with dogs and then alot of them were heart worm positive i do of course feel bad and sympathetic for all of the dogs no matter the case the worker also was not very friendly or attentive but thats probably because they had her by her self dealing with a bunch of people and a bunch of dogs there are some improvements that should be handled here
I am very disappointed with the groomers at this specific PetSmart location (Hulen). I took my dog in to get a nail grind and noticed a little blood around his nails afterwards but thought nothing of it. The next night I noticed blood on the floor and saw that his nails were bleeding again. The following morning I brought him in to see if there was anything they could do about it and they acted like I was the first person this had ever happened to and that they had never even heard of a dogs nails bleeding days later. Needless to say, I will NOT be taking my dog back to this groomer.
Do not purchase the insurance thru Banfield.....it is a wellness program and not health insurance and if your vet dies they will still come after you for the balance. Not much of a wellness program when you animal dies at a young age.Check Embrace insurance for your pets! True insurance and very reasonable!
Sadly, the food that I need for my dog is usually out of stock. So I dont come into PetSmart unless I need treats or toys or something like that. But I do have to get my dog food online because I was not able to get it in the store because they would not keep it on the Shelf.
Its hard to rate this place because it has its pros and cons and it really depends on who happens to be working and dealing with your pet. If you have a Small Dog or puppy this place is great and of great value, however it is not so for Large/Giant Breeds. There are staff members who you can tell love animals and know each breed. Then there are some who seem like they just needed a job and have less patience then they need with animals. For a Giant Breed Puppy/Dog this is not the best place for Day-camp. There are not many large and giant dogs on a daily basis therefore they are put in with medium dogs and as the Bigger dog they are the ones who seem to cause problems when they are just trying to play in a small room with 10-15 dogs less than half their size. Some of the staff seems to understand and love Large breeds and never have a problem, others have a look of dread when a large dog enters the room and constantly get on to them for every move. My dog has come home twice with bruises around her neck, yet she is a Harness only Dog. I was told by one employee that when a dog/puppy jumps they are told to Knee it in the chest, which seriously concerns me! When you have a giant puppy who is sensitive to injury such as Great Danes and Newfoundlands this can cause serious injury and possibly death. The GM of the location is trying to rectify the situation but I believe that training these employees properly and the current policies are the responsibility of PetsMart. Petsmart needs to do Breed Training, as all breeds are different and have different needs. Furthermore, if a location does not have the staff to separate large dogs from small then they should let the owners know this instead of taking in all dogs regardless. I suggest a specialist be added to the staff to run a Large Breed Daycamp/Meetup once or twice a week, which could be reservation only, so that if there are not enough large/giant breeds at one location they can tell you that they have a Giant Breed Daycamp/Meetup at another area location. I dont know anyone who would send their child back to daycare after coming home with bruises from the teachers, or after knowing their child is in the wrong class regularly. Pet Owners feel the same way. In the last 6 months I have paid more to Petsmart than I would for a semester of Private School. I do hope that they can come up with better solutions for our Pet Children, in the mean time, I will be touring other Doggie Day Camps and Hotels in the area.
I was trying to talk to the lady at the adoption center and she was so rude she just hung up on me theyre not even busy at that store and she just hung up on me I was going to ask about pet surrendering and pet adoption but seeing how rude she was I could only imagine how they treat their animals.
Clean not too many people walking around for help but youll find it and make sure to have a club card or what ever for good deals remind them that you have one or youll be standing in line all over again wanting your $.70 back because you did have a card and didnt use it

2022-04-08I used the grooming service a few times for puppy baths. It was always a hit or miss. I wanted to go elsewhere however I didn’t want to change the environment he was use to. This last time I spent $125 + $20 tip… I tipped because I didn’t know his nails had not been filed which I payed extra for. I called back same day and was told that they had done all that they could for him, and that he should go somewhere else that can sedate him. If you couldn’t complete the job why was I still charged for services not rendered??? His body was cute and face looked a mess! 😢I had to take my pup to pet supply plus who by the way said he was no problem. In my honest opinion I believe they plucked my baby and cut him very low to hide it!

2022-05-01My 3 year old daughter has been SO excited about going to PetSmart to see the kitty cats and was so patient waiting all day while I worked around the house. I checked the website to make sure they were open and it said the adoption center was open until 7:00 p.m.we came at 6:15, walked back where the cages are, just long enough for her to get excited when a VERY rude employee came in and said “we’re closed.” I said “okay.., well when are you guys open?” She said tomorrow from something until 8, and I said “you aren’t closed right now right? Because there are lots of people in the store… “ and she said “no.” I said that my daughter was looking forward to seeing the kittens and asked if the adoption center was open at a nearby location to which she really responded “I don’t know maybe.” I don’t know her name but she had glasses and her hair pulled back. For the way at Petsmart advertises how many animals are in the of homes- to treat customers this way who are trying to adopt these poor animals in cages (there was another mom and daughter she said the same thing to) Is really a shame for the animals because we don’t want to come back to this location.

2022-02-04Lari does a great job grooming our Maltese/Yorkie, Ivy! She always comes home smelling wonderful, feels so soft, and perfectly groomed. We have been going to PetsMart, and using Lari, for over a year now. We are very pleased with their service, price, convenience, and how our Ivy looks and feels when she gets home! I definitely recommend Lari at PetsMart.
