Beautiful venue! Amazing view and contrary to the other review there is a ladies room downstairs near the men’s restroom.Request Dj Ro, He is the best!

Great wedding venue! Beautiful gazebo with concrete path. Views are stunning and right on the water. Reception hall was great and a good size. Only fault is theres not a guest bathroom in the reception hall. You have to enter the mens back section or go upstairs to the ladies dressing section.

All around terrible experience. The venue itself has so much potential but the staff, Susan and Kim are in way over their heads and have absolutely no idea how to run the business. They are rude and very unprofessional. The reception hall was filthy. The grass was never cut when we needed it to be and they left some places uncut because they didn’t want to move extension cords to have it done the right way. We were told at the rehearsal that it was time for us to leave and were basically rushed out. They huffed and puffed at every request we had. Our florist had to set up the chairs for the ceremony because they didn’t come out to help until 5:00 and the ceremony was at 5:30. My sister got married here and it was totally unorganized. I could go on and on. Susan and Kim aren’t pleasant people to be around. If you are interested in this venue, I highly suggest rethinking it.

Plantation on the Bay is a beautiful setting for making amazing wedding and other event memories. Brides will walk down a winding sidewalk to a gazebo which faces the beautiful ocean with gentle breezes blowing. The Fred Hartman Bridge can be seen in the distance. The all white Reception Hall can be decorated at your discretion. The romantic Bridal Suite and the Grooms lounge are added benefits on your wedding day. Kim and Susan are a wealth of knowledge in helping you plan your great event, be it a wedding, a family reunion, a corporate event, a birthday party, a baby showers or a Quinceañera. I would like to start this review by saying that this venue has a great amount of potential. It’s unique setting is truly beautiful and the venue has the capability of being a topnotch facility. We experienced several disappointments during our interaction with the owners. We were told at the first meeting that the floors were going to be replaced. Floor samples were laid out and we were even asked our opinion on what we liked. Upon revisiting the venue in the beginning of Oct, the floor had not been replaced and we saw multiple cracked tiles. After our visit, I had some concerns that I addressed with Susan. When asked about the floor being changed, I was told, well that just didnt happen! There was mud on some of the indoor chairs. When asked if they were going to make sure they were cleaned I was told that “I am not cleaning 100 chairs, if you’d like to pay to have someone come in and clean them you’re welcome to”. Some of the outdoor chairs were rusty, I asked if they would be replaced, I was told that they could move them to the inside off the aisle. I was concerned that the grass under the stairs, where the bride would be walking down, was almost knee high and was told that they would address it. Two days before the wedding I had to ask them to recut the grass because it looked like someone had done donuts due to the lawnmower having a flat tire while it was being cut. I had to ask if they were going to weed eat along the front gates, if they would edge along the walkway and make sure under the stairs was cut. Everything that was asked was replied with dismissive and abrupt responses. However, although the quality of work was average they did attempt to take care of these things. My son in law had to send his crew out to trim the trees on either side of the gazebo where the ceremony was being held, so the area would look nice for photos. When the bridal pictures were being taken several weeks before the wedding, the grass wasn’t cut and the bride’s dress got full of dog hair. On the day of the wedding the florist WAS absolutely at the venue at 4pm. And they DID set up some of the chairs because I was helping them. I think setting up 1 hr. prior to guests arriving is cutting it too close and makes for more unnecessary worries for the bride. When I sat down for the ceremony water gushed out of my chair and got my dress wet. The window sill, floor, and blinds behind the cake table had to be cleaned by someone helping us with the set up and decorating. A window facing the bay and the sunset was cracked and rusted and not replaced. We were told to just close the blind. Several light bulbs were out. In the bridal suite the toilet had to be flushed several times, the garbage cans were dirty, a towel shoved in the light socket instead of a light bulb.Now, one may think we are being too picky or expecting too much. The guests probably didn’t see everything we saw, HOWEVER, we paid $10,000.00 for this venue. There was no communication unless it was about getting their money, until a month prior to the ceremony. It doesn’t appear that regular maintenance is being put into this venue. There seems to be such a lack of attention to detail. Customer Service and professionalism go a very long way and if we would have gotten just a tad bit of it, the interaction with the owners could have gone smoother. Bringing a can of hairspray and cologne up to the bride hardly makes for great customer service. The owner was present at the wedding, coordinating the bridal party, and then at reception dressed in tennis shoes and yoga pants which sums up the overall lack of care or professionalism conveyed to us by the owners.The bottom line is although we paid as much as we did for the use of the venue, we at times felt like bothersome uninvited guests at someone’s home. It’s not a feeling anyone wants to experience especially surrounding a wedding!

We had our wedding here on 10/19/19! It was amazing and so so beautiful we had minimal decorations because the chandeliers in the reception hall and the gazebo were decorations enough!!! Awesome establishment!

I wish I could leave less than a star! The staff is very unprofessional & unorganized! My best friend got married here and since the beginning we’ve had nothing but problems with them! It was always something with them. The grass was never cut when needed, the foundation was so bad the door doesn’t close. They hounded you for payments when it wasn’t even due!! If you don’t want to be stressed out about a venue do not use this place!

I have had a friend and family member get married here within the last few months. Both loved the venue, but were not pleased with the overall experience. The venue is beautiful. Will keep my comments to myself regarding the staff.

Plantation On The Bay made such a beautiful & perfect backdrop for our wedding & wedding photos. Kim & Susan are so friendly, they have even become good friends of ours! I loved the DJ & Wedding Dress store they recommended to us, we had so many compliments. Appreciate the amazing referrals & recommendations! Thank you POTB.
