Pluckers Wing Bar in other cities:
If I could give it negative stars… I would. To start off our host did not want to sit us at a booth because we were only three people. I then asked the server and he moved us.The service was horrible. Our server was triple booked and the manager really did not care. He came in once and the rest he was just not caring. The manager was moving slow . We asked for the bill and it took about 10 minutes for it to come. This was super disappointing and it was my first time to pluckers how sad.. never again
This wings are very delicious, I ordered the buffalo lemon pepper wings and they were so good. Too bad that wen I go back home there is no pluckers close to me. The waiter was very nice and had great customer service. If I go back to Austin again I will definitely go again.
After moving from Houston to Austin to attend UT, I was sad because I missed eating wings, and I wasnt sure if there would be a good wing place near campus to satisfy my cravings. 4 months after moving in, I finally decided to try Pluckers, and my oh my was I satisfied! The staff was very friendly, and the wings tasted great. I especially loved the Spicy Garlic Parmesan flavor 😋 11/10 would recommend
Wednesday night is Trivia night too bad the DJ talks a little too lacksidaisy and condescending about black issues especially when there were ZERO black people in there at the time...(minus myself) so everyone is just laughing like everything is sweet. Makes me think what goes on there when no people of color are around...hmm...do not support this establishment.
Not too busy, checking your temperature at the door, plexiglass separator and general social distancing is in place, the food was good, but the service was great. I will return if in the area. However the parking is a hassle, confusing (pay in a garage if allowed in) and/or non-existent in the street.
We ordered delivery pretty late after a long day and the order got here way earlier than indicated which was awesome. The delivery person also left our order outside our hotel room door and knocked even though I said leaving the order in the lobby would have been fine. They went above and beyond which was so so nice of them.I ordered 20 bone-in cajun, extra crispy which were perfect and a boneless combo in two different flavors. Everything tasted great. Id highly recommend this location when youre in downtown Austin.
Update - Changed from four stars to five. Went back after a brief original visit, and the lad behind the bar remembered exactly who I was and greeted me by name. Thats exactly the type of service that makes a place stand out among the rest!Classic wing joint, nothing more nothing less. Good for catching a game with some friends, and for a cold one with the boys.
Food was decent. I went on a Monday.. it was moderately busy, but so many people working that, it truly shouldn’t have taken as long as it did to get service, or receive my food and drinks. I worked & managed in the service industry, so I expected better. If employees worked on their sense of urgency, would be good.
Went a week ago, on a busy Friday night... the staff was doing their best to sit everyone as fast as they could! They greeted you when you walked in, Lidia got us in faster by sitting us at the bar, which we appreciated! Vivian was our bartender and she was working alone, yet still served us fast. The GM Christina was amazing as well, working the bar to relieve her bartender. Their work ethic & customer service was recognized & appreciated! We will only come back to this pluckers from now on!
The good...their wings are yummy!...The bad, theyve had to hike up prices by $2 per every 5 wings. Sad face!I suppose I get why all these prices are going up, but bosses dont seem to be compensating for this! LOL! Sorry, just a side note!Anyhow, Staff was friendly, and thank goodness for parking validation!! I wud have cried paying $17 for the 1 hour we were there!
We went there last night at 9:20, we got seated about 10, which is fine, however, the waitress was so incredibly rude, did not check on us for drink refills, did not bring our drinks out until 20 minutes after we ordered them (we literally ordered water), then it took 40 minutes to get our mix drinks, (10:40), when we received our food almost all of us were missing our ranch, and fries and tots, they brought ONE HOUR LATER. Then, when we address cold fries that were brought out, the waitress got an attitude, shortly after that, the bartender came to table and said “alcohol?” My coworker said you mean the glasses? She said yes, so we handed her the empty glasses and she said no all of them, (which almost none of us had finished due to the amount of time we had it at our table for the long waits) and we explained nobody told us about a warning, (our waitress had not checked on us for over 30’minutes before that) and she said well it’s still policy sooooo (so rude for literally no reason) so we handed it to her and she rolled her eyes , finally our waitress continued to have her attitude after bringing us our ticket.Overall this was the WORST customer service I have experienced. The wings were good but the fries were old and the staff was cold and harsh for no reason. This was soooooo bad.0/10 Stars
After a horrible experience of waiting over an hour in the cold at the Pluckers along I-35 and not getting food my day was nearly ruined, but like a savior the Rio Grande location delivered me from my sorrow. The service was quick, the food was fantastic, and the waitress was as pleasant as she was beautiful. 5 out of 5 would definitely recommend.
Weve never had a bad experience here. We had one this time. My wife found a hair embedded on her cheese stick. We figured the waiter would just replace it or comp the cheese stick order. The guy never replaced it or took it off the the receipt. Our wings were warm almost cold. We just ate and dealt with it since it was a school night. We called a member of management and expressed our disappointment. We received a small discount but hardly enough for the inconvenience.
Went there once and it was great. Friendly staff and good food. No problem right?...wrong Went there again today an hour ago to have a burger and watch football. I headed straight for the bathroom. As I was coming out a cook came in with his apron on and gloves and went straight to the urinal. Cooks should never enter a bathroom or take out the trash with their apron on. I walked right out and am never coming back! Management should have a serious talk with their staff about the importance of cleanliness.
I recently went to Pluckers like a month ago and I had the worst experience regarding customer service. I went to use a 5 free wings coupon with a group of 4 and instead of having it go through quick and smooth, the manager gave me a hard time and was rude when going through the process of redeeming it. I can understand that there can be issues when using a coupon through an app, but I could not understand why the manager needed to have a disrespectful attitude when attending me and my family. The only reason we were able to eat there was because the server was able to assist us.
Went here the other day and could firmly say that this was the worst wings store that I have ever been to. I paid $22 for 10 wings that were mediocre and much worse than other stores such as BWW and WingStop. If I could give you one piece of advice it would be to not come here. Overpriced and terrible tasting wings.
Ordering to go in this location since there is always an issue. For starters there has been times where they dont tell you your balance over the phone, They wont give you the original receipt unless you ask for it (who does that?), waffle fries are typically stale and they are stingy with the sauce and chicken. Yeah never again, I guess ill drive to the Burnet and Highland location although its a bit further. Oh, ive been lied to by servers as well...but again its orders to go experience. I cant really say about dining in
My experiences have always been great until Today. Not complaining about the the additional fee to pick-up your food because of what is going on in our country. But when fries are cold when I get home that is an issue. The wings this time are ok and a couple were under cooked. Hope it’s better next time.
This place is a staple for a UT student. They have lots of events, including weekly trivia which I love. The menu has a lot of variety with burgers, salads, and lots of appetizers. There are vegetarian options including an impossible burger. The wings are standard with good sauces, but the price is high for what you’re getting. They’ve increased their prices many times over the years I’ve been going there, causing me to go there less as of late. I highly recommend checking in online before you head there because the wait is typically 30 minutes at least. During the dinner rush I’ve seen the wait be well over an hour. They also tend to close their patio on slower nights, which keeps the wait times up.
A UT staple! Their bone-in wings are so good. I’ve also really enjoyed their appetizer, especially the fried cheese and holy mac. They have a good happy hour certain days too. Definitely on the pricier side for wings but worth it. Expect to wait awhile if you come during dinner time on the weekend.
Overly crowded. Rude staff.I could see my food sitting there and by the time our server got around to bringing it to us 10-15 minutes had passed! It took about 45 minutes after getting seated and ordering to get our food and they forgot about our appetizer. They brought the appetizer when we were finished with our meals. What a waste of food and money. The chicken wings were over cooked and fries were under cookedThe server never came back to refill our drinks! Spicy wings…I think people may need some more to drink!I enjoy eating at Pluckers based on previous experiences. This time I took my family visiting town and I was embarrassed for taking them have an awful experience, not to mention wasting all that money for poor service and quality.FYI: I stopped ordering online delivery to work because it takes over 2 hours to deliver and I work down the street from this location.
The people that work here are hero’s and braver than the marines for what they have to put up with. They absolutely deserve to get payed more than doctors for the job that they do. Dealing with drunk, entitled, and impatient college students is no easy task and requires a certain kind of disassociated state in which you can maintain a positive attitude whilst maintaining a high standard of quality in both food and service. This place has always, and will always deliver. I don’t really go here anymore cuz I heard the company donates to trump but I know I’ll land here again someday one way or another
Great wings but sometimes they can be small which means it can be a ripoff because theyre pretty expensive. Service is hit and miss. It can be great at times and really terrible at times. I have no idea why they keep the patio blocked off from fresh air during the pandemic.
Pluckers always delivers on quality wings. The mac & cheese tasted different today. I feel like theyve changed the cheese blend. Our waiter(really tall guy) was nice and timely. At the risk of sounding old the place is busy and loud. Its definetly a college sports bar environment.
Great food and service. I will admit this place used to be much more busy before Covid but now is much slower and alot easier to get a table surprisingly. This place is with it especially if you download the Pluckers app! Free appetizers and a free meal on your birthday 🎉🥳
Been coming here since 2017 and the service gets worse every year, food takes an incredible amount of time to get out, i remember one time i was tempted to just leave because i waited over 30 minutes to flag down our waiter to get the checkonly gets two stars because the food is good and consistent
I was visiting my sisters with my boyfriend about a month ago and we were having issues with the app for the plucker 5 free wings. Our server called over his female manager to see if she could help but instead the manager accused us of already using the coupon. My sisters just started college and my boyfriend and I are soon to graduate so we still look rather young. She did not try to help us and said unless we could come up with the timer she can’t help us. I believe if this situation were to happen with older adults they would have not been treated like this, she clearly treated us poorly and it was highly unprofessional. The server stuck with us and was actually able to help us out, he was definitely tipped well and completely understood the difficulty of navigating through the app.
Pluckers is a decent place for burgers or wings. In my opinion, the wings are on the smaller side and not too special. I usually get the Buffalo Bites-- a good alternative to wings and you get a great portion for the price. If youre a fan of a particular seasoning, you can get tots or fries tossed in a dry seasoning. The location and hours are very convenient if youre in West Campus, open until 2am-3am depending on the day of the week. Parking is validated if you park in the garage next to the location.
New to this area, was pumped to try this place. Did not disappoint. I got the Bakers Gold and it was borderline too hot but at the same time delicious. I think my only con is that we had to wait outside for a bit too long but I guess with the pandemic thats needed, its just so hot here.
This place is very close to my heart, it served me my chicky wingies during my four years of college, offering so many flavors and options on their menu that I never got bored. Now I graduated and moved out of town but every single time Im in Austin I got to stop by Pluckers. Simply put, Pluckers is special and different from any other wings place. My favorite after trying it all, you ask? Boneless basket with Bakers Gold and waffle fries; strawberry lemonade always!P.S. Good food is worth the wait; that being said, expect to always wait longer than 20 minutes to be seated in this very popular place.
I hadnt expected much because good wings are hard to find. Dry rub, extra crispy were fantastic. Service was just okay each time we went. Four nights in a row, probably twenty servers for some ridiculous reason, many standing around with nothing to do -- and still mediocre service.
Staff was nice enough, the wings are decent. But youre better off spending money at wing stop , Buffalo Wild Wings , wing daddys, or Hooters s than this place . I had the garlic Parmesan wings and was definitely not as good as I was expecting. Especially after all the hype . The Fried pickles were good but 4 something dollars for a half order is just three long sliced pickles . I guess I was just thinking they were going to be the regular thin sliced pickles . Actually if they had maybe at least 4 slices I would go back for more of this . The fries were good but nothing out standing. Maybe their other wings are awesome though? I havent tried them . Dont take my word for it people enjoy different things . And they definitely have hype build upon them for a reason so could be something I had not stumbled upon .
Wings were cold and chewy. Tasted like they had set Im the heating window for ten minutes before they bought them to me. Way too much back pepper in the recipe, thats all I could taste. Blue cheese lacked herbs and spices and just tasted like mayonnaise with blue cheese in it. The bartender asked me how my food was. And I told her my issues and shes didnt even respond about it or offer to make it right. Prices were too high, as well. Needless to say, I will not be back!
The best dishes here are probably the appetizers. Fried Mac and cheese, fried pickles, and mozzarella sticks here are all good and also unique. The appetizer sampler is huge and is a good way to try these appetizers. However, pluckers wings are pretty bad. One issue is that they are served on flat aluminum plates and get cold very fast and were not even warm when I got them multiple times. The bone in wings are surprisingly dry, and the fact they arent very warm probably doesnt help with this. The wings are of less quality than Buffalo wild wings or wingstop but more expensive. The burger orders come with a large quantity of food and the patties are thick, but not very juicy, but this should be expected as Pluckers is a wings restaurant and their wings arent great, so their secondary options dont have much to live up to. Overall this place is too expensive for its lackluster quality and usually has a wait. If you go here get the appetizers I guess but its not worth the wait really.
Decided to order my food ahead of time to skip the wait. I show up 30 minutes later and still have to wait in line forever. This wouldve been okay if there werent two waitresses standing behind the counter just doing nothing. Then, to top off this already wonderful experience, I get home (a 3 minute walk away) and my fries are cold as ice. Next time Im getting Wingstop.Edit: They told me to email them and never replied. 🤧
Servers are good, bartenders could use more training in caring for customers who want full service but other than that I’ve had no issues here. The food is ok, their wing sauces are pretty good. I just wish they staff were more attentive to ppl waiting to sit and have a meal.
I love Pluckers but tonight was really bad. Service was not what we usually expect. We never got our bill, so we just left money and walked out. Server was not very good and was not paying attention to our drink glasses. It was just a very bad night. This was at the Rio Grande location!
This place is so gross. The chicken wings, regardless of the flavor/sauce, taste so stomach-wrenching bad. Makes me sick. Plus, it’s pricey and parking was hard to find. I will never willingly go here and will offer 1000 alternatives to anyone who suggests we go to this restaurant to eat. Noisy, bad tasting, awful.
Very rude and bold service. Denied purchasing an order of wings because I had an outside drink. Although I tried to meet them half way by trying to purchase a drink from their store, they insisted on me leaving or getting rid of my outside drink in order for me to be served. Please note I brought my business to this restaurant along a group of 7 other people. I highly recommend finding another restaurant if you are looking for quality service.
The only good thing about our visit was our waiter. The chicken wings were over cooked sonthey were like trying to chew beef jerky. My burger had obviously sat whole the rest of my tables orders were cooked.we were a group of 7 but we were the only table in there so it wasnt busy. No excuses for the poor quality! Never again will i take my coworkers there for their bday, how embarrassing!
I googled all the Pluckers in the Austin area and choose the original location because it at the highest ratings. It was our first time eating here and with my two boys I was kinda worried about the atmosphere, it being a sports bar as well. As soon as we walked in the hostess were very sweet and sat us right away. Our waiter was amazing. The food came out promptly and was very delicious. I spoke with the manager that night and she was very informative about pluckers and specials. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the great experience.
I come here a lot during the school year. This past time I went with my friends and when the waiter brought our food out he said my burger had been dropped on the floor and they were making me a new one. They actually ended up giving me the whole meal for free. First of all, I was glad they didnt just pick it up off the floor, and it was great that they didnt make me pay for it!Aside from that one experience, the food is always good and the service is good too. It can get crowded though.
Tasty wings and good options just like pucker always has. However this place was just not my scene. They were hosting a Texas sports show/podcast thing and while it was cool, it was very loud. We essentially had to yell at each at the table to talk at all. Definitely great place for sports and entertainment, not for any discussion.
The server was kind and courteous. The manager however was exceptional rude and disrespectful. Never have I encountered a manager that was that unacceptably rude. I won’t dine here again due to her. Fire her. Pluckers is doing themselves a disservice having her employed.
Pretty much always packed because it is so close to campus and a great place to watch a game, plus on Wednesdays there is trivia (which is very popular). The wings are good, but once I tried a burger Ive never turned back. Sweet potato fries and holy macaroni are a MUST. Definitely make a trip out if youve never been before, but set aside some time for it.
I know ATX has a thing for its unique and local restaurants but sometimes they just dont measure up to a good chain. Pluckers has had the best wings by far compared to everything else in the immediate area. Decently priced, friendly servers, and the food came out super quickly.
Ok,Im back in Austin and had a long day and felt like wings and a cold beer and Pluckers was right in front of my hotel. The crowd tonight was calm and pretty chill and made my solitary dinner kinda cool because I wound up meeting some very nice people who kept joking and talking to me during dinner. The wings were done thoroughly and very crispy, my only complaint was I asked them with easy on the sauce and I wasnt expecting them to be that easy,no sauce really. Still they hit the spot to get rid of my wing craving, my Bud light was cold and the waitress was always nearby. When is Austin, go by Pluckers, just dont ask them to go easy on the sauce, lol!
Every time Im in Austin, I make my way to Pluckers on Rio Grande because even though I have it home here in Houston nothing beats the original. Wings and the waffle fries (tossed in spicy ranch of course) are amazing! My order is always correct considering its complexity and the waiters are always friendly. Love love love this place
Hands down the best wing place. Their ranch will change your life, it’s become my new baseline. I always get the five wing combo with my fries tossed in bakers gold. The appetizers are all incredibly good and filling, love the fried pickles and holy Mac tossed in garlic parm.
There is usually a significant wait but there is a reason for that. Pluckers without a doubt has the best bone-in wings in Austin. 24 different sauces and rubs to choose from. They offer boneless wings as well but they dont taste as good in my opinion. Avoid the michiladas here, they arent authentic and they arent good.
This Pluckers is right by campus, so its not a surprise to me that it gets busy at night or on the weekends. I took an online order and drove there. Waited in the car until it said that it was ready. When I went in, I sat at the bar for probably ten minutes before someone came to help me. Not angry, since Ive worked in customer service before, so I understand. I just hope they can coordinate it a little better.
Very disappointing me my husband a my sister & my 3 children arrived here went in and sat down for the lady to come tell us we couldn’t sit there due to reservations...mind you we made a phone call 5 mins prior to request a reservation they said ur free to come in there’s no wait and we are not taking reservations really upset at the staff and manager we got up and left at the same time my kids were like mom I want to eat...defff not a family place. And they did not bother to ask if we’d be comfortable sitting elsewhere in the outside section & they saw my three toddlers sitting ready to eat...the manager had no social experience..I will not return especially with my children!!!!
Ive been going here off and on with friends to enjoy alcohol, social environment, spicy wings, and delicious fried pickles for the past six years, and it has not failed me ever. Dont you freaking choose any other wing place, besides the other Pluckers on Anderson. Youll just regret not going the extra mile to go here.
If you go to UT, you pretty much have to go to Pluckers. Its one of the only restaurants that is walking distance away when you live in West Campus. They are open late, and its the perfect place to go to watch a game. I love their themed nights; they have a bingo night, trivia night, and even a karaoke night. Ive been to them all and had more fun that I thought possible at a wing bar. The service has always been great and the people are incredibly kind. Whenever youre feeling gluttonous, this is the place to go since you can basically get just about anything deep-fried.
Wings were overcooked, dry and the waffle fries were cold. When the waitress asked we told her the fries were cold and she just said oh and walked away. The wings seemed like they just poured the honey bbq over the top while on the plate, since some of the wing was dry. Oh well first time last.
Amazing place to watch games! Their boneless buffalo wings are great plus they probably have the best ranch in the world! The service is the worst thing about this place, sometimes its okay but other times its actually horrific. I recommend Bakers Gold! They also let you mix flavors together bakers gold plus spicy hot makes a good combo. Check it out for yourself!
This place is a spot where memories are made. Its always popping and lively. The food is fine and theyve got good specials. Ive enjoyed their trivia on Wednesday nights. Thats a good time to get a group together and go have a fun night. They also bring in a lot of UTs coaches and have live discussion with them. Thats a great experience as well. It definitely has a college vibe, like everything in West Campus, so come with that expectation.
I blame Pluckers for my weight gain. I blame Pluckers for clogging my arteries. I blame Pluckers for the ladies that run away from me for having Garlic Parmesan breath. The truth is though...never before have I tasted something so unhealthy, yet so delicious. No matter what kind of day it is, Pluckers is a great casual wing place. Many come here during sports games, especially during football season. Pluckers also host Trivia night (Wednesday) and Wingo (Thursday) which are great for groups.Their wings are mad tasty. My favorites are Garlic Parmesan, Spicy Ranch, and Honey BBQ. I highly recommend getting the Holy Macaroni (fried macaroni sticks); it comes with ranch and a strawberry chutney thats irresistible. Ordering 15 wings usually gets me full.Pluckers is usually busy during dinner times so prepare to wait 20-30 minutes to be seated. With that said, their foods can be inconsistent; my wings were sometimes dry and not hot, same with the waffle fries and sides. Despite this I still would recommend eating here because their wing sauces are amazing. If youre up for a drink, the Toxic Frog is a great sweet drink (weird green witch cauldron-like color).Advice: Get a Pluckers Club Card (you get great discounts and free food). For the UT students, take advantage of the 5 Free Wing coupons during football season. Parking garage is free if Pluckers validates your parking ticket.
The wings were just covered in sauce that was just so so - sat on the patio - it was about 90° - I had to turn on the fan myself - the fried pickles were good though - waitress was good too - the service and the sides were good (sweet potato fries) the wings were just not there
Slowest service Ive encountered anywhere in Austin. I came to pick up my togo order and everything was ready except the drink. I waited for 27 minutes for them to get my drink. Luckily football was on so I stood at the front watching football. But there is zero excuse for waiting that long for a drink.
I love their honey bbq and lemon pepper wings with ranch. Im a member of their club (one time fee) so anytime I bring friends we always get a free appetizer or dessert. Also I get reward points and redeem them for free food every once in a while so thats nice. Food is great, service is great, pluckers is great.
We are a family of 5 but the little boy is 9 years and he does not like wings and he did not felt like eating a burguer from Pluckers. So we bought him some white rice, black beans and chicken bowl, we went to Pluckers that is in Rio Grande street around 5 pm Sunday 6/23 and I asked a girl who works there if we could enter with food from outside but us 4 were going to order food and drinks from there. She immediately told us that the child could not enter with food because it was company policy. The girl had a very bad attitude, then I asked to speak with the manager and he told me to sit outside with my family if we wanted to bring food from outside. Come on 100 degrees outside and he want us to sit outside. I told him thanks but no and we all left. Then I call another Pluckers to ask the same question and the manager told me no problem, come here, after all it was only the child food from outside I never go back to that place again, I felt discriminated. And the place in Rio Grande was my wifes favorite place but not anymore.
If youre new to Austin or a tourist you have to try pluckers! My favorite is the basket of the huge boneless wings! Theyre always tender easy to eat, my kids love the Mac n cheese its probably the best Ive ever tasted! Not to mention the flavorfull drinks and deserts they have! Just an amazing experience Everytime we go! Thats why its always packed, everyone knows its worth the wait. Anyways hope this review convinces you but Im getting hangry thinking about them and on my way to buy some more 😁.
Great place to come when you have the 5 free wing coupons! It is pretty expensive but the wings and fries both hit the spot. There are all types of flavors for the wings and you can get them all on the waffle fries. The boneless wings are much like chicken strips and are hit and miss - sometimes they are very dry and sometimes they are good.
This place is ALWAYS busy. It is that good. I just drooled on my phone at the thought of their Spicy Lemon Pepper wings with a Michelada on the side. If I could eat this everyday.... I wouldnt. Because it be bad for my health. But if given the opportunity I cant promise I would resist it. 10/10
Love at first sight. I was in town for 5 night and I ate here every dinner.Truth to be told I am a hot food but. I literally travel with ground ghost pepper in my backpack. When I ask for spicy food I tell the server to make me cry. It never happens. Pluckers has a hot sauce called Fire In The Hole that brought tears to my eyes. Loved it.Ps: Patrick is the best bar tender :)
While attending #RTX2016. My girlfriend and I decided to stop by this place, since we only have wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings where we come from. Both of us were BLOWN AWAY with the taste, and the portions of the food the environment and friendliness of the staff. Bridget our Server was great she refilled our drinks and kept checking on us throughout our meal. We recommend this place! We will come back again another time!
This is a great place to eat. Im not eating meat, and they have the Impossible Burger. The description says that it tastes just like a regular burger, but its made entirely of plants. It also says whats on it, and it can be replaced with any burger on the menu. This means that every burger on the menu is within the grasp of nearly every dietary restriction. They had a great choice of beers, and my friend ordered, if my memory serves me correct, the Hand Grenade, and it was HUGE. It was 3 burger patties, BLT some jalapenos, cheese, and it came with what looked liked at least a 32 oz drink. Our server was on the ball; he was polite, and knew the menu very well because my friend ordered a beer they didnt carry anymore, and our server knew that it was taken off recently, and let him know on the spot so my friend wouldnt have to reorder later.
Pluckers is amazing. Seriously. If youre looking for good chicken wings and other bar foods (fried pickles mmm), this is your place!I usually get the boneless wings (basically chicken fingers) covered in lemon pepper and teriyaki flavor. Buffalo waffle fries are killer too.You might have to wait a little bit to get a seat because this place is so popular but its worth it. Also, they will validate your parking if you park in the garage next door.Highly recommend.
I just called the pluckers to placing order I work less than 2 minutes away. I was placed on hold by a manager to get his cashier to ring me up ! I was left on hold for 4 minutes .. Lazy ass Management All I wanted Was 10 Ranch Wings, Fries , House Salad with extra Sides .. Thats it ! ..I called back again to place my Order and Jason still wanted to put me on Hold . He Better not be a manager !!! Im going to the Top .. Everyone knows you dont have time to waste walking around on your Lunch Break on West Campus
Ill always love coming back to this place. Im a huge fan of pluckers and Ive always gotten great service at all of their locations. Beware of the spicey wings if you have a sensitive tongue. Its a great place for everyone and you can always catch up on sports while there.
In all my years of worldly wing-eating, Ive never experienced perfect, but this is as close as you might get.Lets go full disclosure. Is this in the middle of the college scene? Is it so popular that its a chain? Are many the servers here fresh-faced or inattentive at times? And, is it overpriced? The answer to all these questions is a resounding, emphatic YES.Heres the positives youre getting: Big, wonderfully crispy wings. The best bleu cheese around. Sports on (most) big screen TVs everywhere (do you really need to dedicate 1/4 TVs to promoting your Pluckers Club?). A serviceable selection of beers, in sizes big and small. Some really delicious unhealthy food. And, by contrast, the most filling salads around. Southwest Caesar is my guilt-free go-to. The overall experience tends to be better than any other Ive found.Ariel and Bridget are some of the best servers here and I ask for them every visit. Jereme was excellent as well but he has since departed for greener pastures. An honest bit of feedback for management: Improve your customer service. Emphasize being personable, attentive, friendly and HUMAN to your servers. Your food may be good, and your customers may come and go, but too many bland, substandard service experiences will sour the overall experience (i.e., dropping food at tables impersonally, forgetting drinks, indifferent check-ins).
I will never come again. I have been to many locations and this has been the worst. I ordered a 15 pc combo. The wings were over cooked and hard to chew... There were 4 pieces that barely had any meat or were half the size of the regular wings...Also if the Bevo machine is down there should be a sign or something. I was not aware until the last minute when the waiter took our checks...
I love pluckers, and always love coming in with groups of friends. The atmosphere is so great, when you have the right service. We had an issue tonight, our group of 12 was split while ordering. When we arrived at 2:40 there was a long line, and we waited patiently until getting to the desk. After two people from our group ordered, the receptionist Cierra walked away (about 2:45). Just before leaving she said Ill be right back, Im sorry just one second. Two people walked up and asked Have yall been helped? Only to ignore us when we said No, we have been standing here for 10 min. Around 3:05, the manager, Jasmine, walked up and said Were not taking orders anymore, sorry. Ive been a server at a sushi restaurant and understand how difficult it is to serve late, but its pathetic that Cierra quit 20 min before closing because she cant fulfill her job duties. Ive always had good service at Pluckers, and Im just so surprised this was an issue with our group.
The atmospere is dem and kind of dirty but it is still good. there is stuff all over the wall and it is pretty cool. I always order chicken wings boneless, the flavor is medium, and I always get lemonade because it is my favorite drink. it is known for the chicken wings, because it is a wing bar. the price is always for me $9.00.
Pluckers is down the street from me and that can be a wonderful and a bad thing all at once. This is one of my favorite places to eat at because of its wings and the fried pickles. I am kind of addicted to fried pickles thanks to them! Yes, their prices can be a little pricy but its worth getting their pluckers card. Their service can be hit or miss because it is so packed all the time. So dont expect all the attention on you especially if you go during game days. Sometimes their wings can be a little dry but thats only happened a few times. Overall, its Pluckers so itll always be a 5 in my heart!
Pluckers Wing Bar is a chain, but when your looking for a great sports bar and wing joint its hard to find a better location. There are a ton of TVs, the beers are cheap, and the wings are great! All the sauces are great but my favorites are sesame, buffalo medium, and parmesan garlic. Get a ton of ranch youre going to need it and the following day you will crave it (I wish they bottled it).Insiders tip: Sign up for the pluckers club, it has a one time fee but every time you go you will get a free appetizer or dessert.
We ordered from here for a work lunch, and it was awful. First, they delivered part of our order an hour early, so the food was cold for some people. Then, about half of the orders were wrong. Nothing was labeled, and there was no utensils. Will not be ordering from them again.
Terrible service. i waited 10 minutes AT THE BAR TOP for anyone to even come out from the kitchen. i asked for blue cheese and celery with my wings and the bartender upcharged me for blue cheese and also the wing basket combo but sub celery for fries so i got a giant bowl full of celery instead of what i asked for. Screw this place.
Everything you want from a wing joint. Extensive menu with burgers, sandwiches, giant salads, and 23+ wing flavors. There is a TV anywhere you look and trivia on Wednesday! The Rio location is right in the UT campus and hosts a weekly radio show with Longhorn head coach Charly Strong!
What a waist of time. A group of friends waited for more than 45 minutes for a table after they said I will take only 20. We could see other people coming in and being seated without problem. The girl at the front gave us attitude every time we asked for status of the table. Needless to say we decided to walk away. Never again will go to Plukers.
Always Pluckers over any other wing joint! 4 stars bc I placed a to go order and the guy stood in front of me and never greeted me or asked if I had been helped, then turns out he was the one working to go orders and huffed and puffed bc he brought me regular lemonade instead of strawberry lemonade and I asked if he could change it, and then got an attitude when I asked for cutlery and wipes a day through them in the bag and walked off!
I usually come to this location during lunch. Today I was extremely disappointed. They forgot my fries good thing I didn’t leave before checking, so when I went in to get them she seemed mad I told her. Then I receive literally 3 fries . I was going to place an extra order but I was short on time
Service here is a little slow, there is the garage parking that you can get validated. The place is small so it can get crowded. There isnt much to say, the food is about the same as all the other locations quality wise. The service is what makes it less desirable the other locations in town.

2022-03-07The service was friendly and quick. The sweet tea it always extra sweet! The fried pickles never disappoint. I didnt get a picture of those because we ate them too fast. I did order chicken bites, which is something new in the menu. I loved them!

2022-06-06Closer to a 3.5 ⭐️.Located at the heart of West Campus, it’s been a popular local wing joint since my first visit 15 year ago. Despite the nostalgia, the wings were not very impressive, they were mediocre with its temperature/crispy outside/sauces around the wings. The meat was a bit too dry, and spicy level was subpar. Most of the wings were heavy on sweetness. The waffle&cheese fries was a little disappointing, the fries were lukewarm and cheese already hardened. It was the rush hour and they did say that to kitchen was heavily backed up, that could be the reason.Overall, it was more for the memories than the taste of wings.

2022-02-272nd time coming to Pluckers and 1st time in this branch. Our server Madison was so nice (she just need to smile tho). Our food was served hot and fresh too! The Beav was so good! A must try! The wings is okay. Def coming back in this branch, didn’t fail me and hubby for the 2nd try, given that we got some issues at Lamar branch! Cheers🥳

2022-01-05If you could visit heaven on Earth, this would be it.🍗I am a proud life time member of their pluckers club and its one of the best decisions of my life. Perfect for trivia night, date night, solo-night, or birthday party. My ultimate fav are bone-in wings: Lemon pepper, sweet bbq, and mango habanero. Ask for them to be well heated and with a side of blue cheese 👨🍳If you go to one of the football games or soccer games they sometimes get you some of the coupons in the picture. Grab some and take a lucky friend to this spot, you will not regret it.

2022-07-02Online there appeared to be no wait, but upon our arrival we were told it was a 45 minute wait to be seated. We ended up sitting at the bar, which was fine. The food and drinks were good, it just took a while to be served due to the bartender appearing to be busy. Overall good experience, just wish the waitlist was accurate online.

2022-06-06Wing bar with lots of TVs playing sports. We went here for wings and to watch a game. Service was a bit slow, probably related to staffing levels, but also a bit disorganized. A couple key hiccups that meant some of our dishes got cold while others were prepared. The wings themselves were just alright, nothing special. They were a bit drier than expected (both the dry and wet ones were drier than expected) and the taste wasnt punchy at all. Id go elsewhere if you want good wings.

2022-06-25The wings are delicious and the manager gave me a free brownie with ice cream when the waitress (Frank) told him it was my first time in pluckers. Highly recommend it, def try that brownie too.

2022-04-17Inconsiderate for seating and orders. I arrived at 12:08 am. They said they could not seat for another 45 min+. My options were to wait and potentially get a table and be served. Or wait and not be served. Keep in mind they do not answer their phones for closing time confirmation. Waste of time
