Pluckers Wing Bar in other cities:
Giving this place a 3/5 but its closer to a 2. I havent ordered wings in over a year because of the price increase everywhere. 10 wings for 20 bucks is insane but I hoped it would be tasty. The chicken was covered in sauce yet it was still bland... Im not sure how that works. My interaction with one of the workers was very brief but she was very nice. Its what made this review a 3 and not a 2.
Disappointed. Placed a three person online order at 10:52AM for pickup at 12:45PM on Sunday thinking it was best to help the restaurant by helping them plan ahead. Arrived at 12:45PM and was told kitchen was short staffed. A 5-10 min wait was needed and didnt receive order until 1:28PM. Your Buffalo wings were dry which I have had tasted before so I had something to compare against. No apologies needed. Next time we will order elsewhere, do better.
We ordered food for a friends going away get together. There were only 7 people so it wasnt a HUGE order. We placed the order online and was told it would be ready for pickup 1:41. One of us was there in the curbside pickup by 1:40. He followed the instructions and called to let them know he was there to pick up the order. They said itll be right out. He waited and waited and waited. He was thinking maybe it took a little longer to make our order than the website predicted. 25 minutes later he calls back. The order was brought right out in less than 2 minutes. We are literally across the road from them so it took no time for him to bring the order here. None of the containers were marked with what it contained. So several people had to guess which order was theirs. The biggest problem was EVERYTHING was COLD! It had to have been ready at 1:41 and no one brought it out when he arrived. We tried to call to discuss this with the manager but after being on hold for over 15 minutes we hung up because we had customers of our own to take care of. Customers come first! It was the worst experience I have ever had. The food may even be why I felt slightly bad that evening...I have to say this was my FIRST and LAST time I will ever order from Pluckers.
Long time love for Pluckers but on Monday 1/31/22 we placed a dine-in order but the food came out a little late. Everything was warm, but not hot and the mac and cheese was hardened, as opposed to the normal cheesy-melty usual. Later the manager asked how everything came out so I provided the feedback. We werent upset but know they are typically better. Without prompt or request he compd a portion of the meal - and we really appreciated the gesture. After eating we got up in a haste (managing two small children) and left behind our packaged leftovers. I noticed our mistake as we got to the car and doubled back to retrieve, but the table had already been bused. The host went back to check for our boxes and again the manager made a point to come out himself and deliver bad news about the items already being discarded. He immediately asked what we had to take home to my wife and promptly rushed a new order to replace it - which surprisingly came out in about 10 minutes! The food is always great here and Austin (manager) made sure we knew their care for the service quality was just as important. Thank you again Austin. I hope we see you on our next visit again soon!
Went early on a Friday evening (b4 6 pm). Place was busy, but not packed or crowded. Sat at the bar since I was dining alone. Ordered a burger and fries with 5 wings to be washed down with a couple of beers. After 35 minutes, I asked the guy at the bar to check on my order. He looked me in the face and said, its Friday. What do you expect? Another 10 minutes go by and my order finally arrives...COLD! Asked for a replacement order of hot fries. Not only did they arrive cold, I was charged $3 for them. Meanwhile, the regulars who arrived after me got their food in a timely manner. As I was preparing to leave, I ask the regular to my left: whats the secret to getting hot food here?. He says: come Monday thru Thursday. The food is always cold on Friday and Saturday. Say what?! I voiced my concerns to deaf ears, paid and still tipped...well. This location will never see my face on my dime, again. 2stars for the flavor of the wings, 1 star for the cold beer.#Foodie-in-the-Making
Pretty mediocre. Need to ask for additional sauce on wings which are already overpriced. Even if there are issues with wing shortages, skimping on sauce does not help with with making want people to come back. One restroom per gender. Service was good. Made a couple mistakes on order.Oh and you’re lucky if you can get a table.
Used to be great. It has been garbage now for years.Unbelievably long wait times while tons of tables sit empty... and dont blame a staff shortage because you have 10 people standing at the host stand. Then if you do manage to actually get seated its gonna be another 2 hours for your food.No wonder the prices are through the roof, they take a full 3 hours to service a group of customers.
For the first time I was very disappointed in my food. I ordered the hallelujah and the Cajun wings. Its what I always get. May Cajun wings were very dry and parts were hard(crunchy) set under the light to long possibly before being served. The waffle fries werent on point either today. Maybe just one of those days. I didnt finish either at lunch. I live in Bastrop and dont get to eat there as often as I like. Maybe next time. I was next door at Town North Nissan.
Waiting an hour via their phone waiting, people who got there after us get seated,, we go inside to wait and my husband asks why they’re not seating if there are tables open, and they tell us the kitchen is no longer serving food. If he hadn’t asked we’d be there stupidly waiting. The check in service didn’t even alert us either.
First time at this location. I had a pluckers lemonade and the southwest Caesar. The beverage was good and I had a nice server. However, I found 2 hairs in my salad. I didnt get to finish it cause I was grossed out.. They took the salad off the bill, but still charged for the extra dressing and drink. Seeing as how I didnt get to use my dressing, have a good experience, and wish I never ate any of it, the manager should have done more. I cant help but to think what I didnt see and what I ate. Never again.
This is our go to Pluckers, even though we have two other locations much closer to us. Joined waitlist on Yelp for 10-15 min wait, got seated just a bit later than quoted—-fine, no biggie. Once seated, waitress took 7 mins to come over. This should have been a heads up for our evening. Takes our drink and appetizer order, comes back almost 20 mins later with our drinks. 3 waters, a lemonade, and a kids water shouldn’t have taken that long, IMO but fine. Takes our order and By this point, we’ve been seated half an hour already. Its like our waitress then disappeared into the night, as they were nowhere to be seen for quite some time and even someone else brought out our appetizers, which were definitely overcooked and hard. Check the time, we’ve been seated about an hour and 15 mins, still no food. For a family of 5, this seemed ridiculous—especially considering we watched multiple tables around of 3, 4, and even a party of 8 all be served both food and refills like they’re at a buffet. Finally manage to wave our waitress over and mention how ridiculous it is that we’ve been waiting this long for our food, while others continue to be served. Of course, they throw out the basic apology and head to the kitchen to check it out. Well wouldn’t you know, within the next two minutes our food is all out, conveniently! Supposed manager comes over to apologize and comps our apps for the long wait—-great, thanks. Fries hard and cold on all the meals with fries, and on the grilled cheese, the cheese wasn’t even melted but my kids were starving by this point. Now heres the kicker, its a Thursday so they have a special for All-you-can-eat buffalo bites. We put in an order for the second round, while not even half way through the first just in case it would take long. A whole 35 mins and 3 tired, irritable kids later, round two still hasn’t made it out the kitchen. Have to wait for the waitress again, and at this point all 5 people in our party have empty cups, finally wave them over again, ask to cancel the order, get charged for the buffalo bites entree instead and ask for the manager, because there is no way this is seriously happening tonight! When they finally get the ticket fixed and the manager comes over, I mention how this has been ridiculous! His response was such a joke, “a lot of take out orders came in and backed up our kitchen”. I mentioned “well you had willing, paying customers here too, but we’re over it and done at this point” and he still muttered the same response. We paid our tab and headed out, extremely dissatisfied with both the food and the customer service. There is no reason it should have 2 hours for a family of 5 to have dinner on a Thursday, AT ALL. Highly reconsidering the closer locations, if they have much better service.
I used to come here all the time and was a member of the Pluckers club for about 15 years but I will never set foot here again. This is weird for me, I dont think Ive ever written a 1 star review before, but my experience was so terrible tonight I had to say something.I showed up to get my free birthday meal, one of the perks of being a member of the club, but my food came out cold and many of the wings were small with two of them containing nasty broken bones. This wasnt that disappointing though as the quality of food here has-been going down for several years and honestly I dont expect the great wings of old anymore. What made things unforgiveably bad is the service. I sat at the bar and had a horrific time flagging down bartenders for drinks. To be fair they were a little busy but not THAT busy. The bar wasnt packed but was about 80% capacity. And the desert I ordered got forgotten! I waited about 20 minutes after ordering desert and ordered a to-go order for my girlfriend. I then waited about an hour. My desert never showed up and I had to ask a bartender about my to-go order. He went and checked and came back with a bag of cold chicken to take home to a disappointed and hangry girlfriend and my desert I was treating myself to for my birthday still forgotten. No apology from the staff either. Even though I got a 15 dollar credit for my birthday meal next year will be the first birthday since like 2007 I dont dine at Pluckers. Service and food gets worse every year and I am done. I live close to this Pluckers but prefer to drive to Wingz-Up lately. Much better chicken and service. Pluckers can keep the free birthday meals.
This Pluckers no longer honors their own promotions. The manager isnt helpful and the district manager told us I dont care. If you pay to be a Pluckers Rewards Member, go to a different location where your rewards will be honored. If you arent a Pluckers Rewards Member but want to ensure youll be treated with respect when you dine out, go somewhere else.
They dont get 1 star because wings are still tasty but holy cow this place took a nosedive in the recent years. Before you assume im just a 1-star-karen let me tell you ive been in their pluckers club plaque twice (you need to spend $1000 in a year to be in the plaque) so when i tell you i know pluckers, im not fooling around.Bathrooms are gas-station levels now, absolutely disgusting, no paper towels, they have that timed water faucet that is uncomfortable to use (a bad sign of cost cutting) prices are absolutely expensive and the wait is ridiculous, the staff did the best they could but they didnt even have ice for the drinks..... Im gonna go ahead and assume they dont even pay them competitively.Seriously, call ahead or go an hour before you get hungry because youll be waiting a LONG TIME for your overpriced wings.
Covid-19 review:They did great with cleaning and verifying everyones temperature before being let into the building. There was a very short wait about 10 minutes and again there was enough space outside to distance safely. The tables are separated enough to comply with social distance.I loved the bar area and it was not to busy when I went. Great drink specials on Modelo.Food was great as always. You know what to expect from pluckers so Im letting the pictures speak for themselves.
Been here many times, and was disappointed more than usual tonight. The manager was more concerned with turning off TVs at midnight than getting our food put of the kitchen though we waited for over 30 minutes at 11pm.No last call for beers, no server check in, cold food, music turned off as we got our food, and excuses no solutions.Management has a lot of improvement to do on their leadership.
Dont order from them on Uber Eats. Theyll wait an hour or more before cancelling because they couldnt prepare the order. While Im bummed I didnt get my food, Im more bummed about the 5+ drivers who had to wait at the location and decline the order because this location/the kitchen cant manage online orders like lots of other restaurants in the area can. Im bummed since I like the food, but if you cant handle online orders dont offer them.
This place is delicious! Tried it for the first time and got the new hotdog with macaroni on top and it was really good. The waffle fries are seasoned perfectly and very crispy. And our waiter was very attentive to drink refills and making sure we were taken care of. Great job!
CEO of pluckers was recently caught telling workers to create multiple accounts and leave only positive reviews on sites like Glassdoor/Indeed to encourage people to apply there for work.If you have to take that route to get workers, maybe you should consider being pro-choice and not donate to Republican campaigns.
Used to love pluckers and would go at least twice a week. Now the prices have nearly tripled, the size and portions and quality have gone down and like everywhere else right now theyre always short staffed and kind of rude because of it. I likely wont be returning again any time soon.
We love Pluckers!!! Our server tonight, Yessenia, was super friendly and attentive. There was woman manager (wearing a blue polo) who greeted us at the host stand and came by to check on us during our meal. She was also awesome and nice! The food here is A1 AMAZING! You can never go wrong with a plate of Holy Mac (we toss ours in Spicy Ranch and dip it in marinara sauce- its like a twist on mozzarella sticks), and everything from the salads, to the wings, to the sandwiches are delicious. Wash it all down with some Pluckers Strawberry Lemonade and its a perfect meal. The 183/Research location is one of our favorites, and well drive all the way from Round Rock to come here.
Paid for extra blue cheese sauce. Forgot all the sauce on a to go order. Good wings. Lackluster service.Updated to reflect that management called to offer a gift card for the inconvenience shortly after my first review, but one never came. Can’t support a company that doesn’t stick to their word.
Although this place sometimes gets hate because of the busyness, crowds and noise. There is always a way around that, Yelp allows you to wait in line before you get there, you can order to go and food doesnt normally take long at all. Overall great place, good food and friendly staff.
Super great place to eat wings and watch sports in the best place in the world! In all the 46 states I have been to, I can truthfully say its the BEST! Great beer selection and great food. Bartenders are some of the best and lots of fun to be here. #1 in my book all a cross the good old United States of America. Thank GOD for Pluckes!
Delicious food, great environment! I have gone multiple times and received great service, exempt my last visit 4 days ago. Only complaint I have is that some workers dont follow sanitation safety protocol. I personal saw a waitress use the bathroom without washing her hands before going back and attending customers. I told the manager, who basically shrugged it off saying it didnt sound like something she would do.
The irony of the employee you are paying to check temperatures as a safety precaution wearing her mask around her chin, when temperature checks have proven ineffective in slowing the spread of COVID-19 and mask-wearing (when worn correctly & not exposing the wearer’s teeth) is perhaps our best defense is astounding.I saw her go in & out of the restaurant several times and interact with half a dozen other employees, all while wearing her mask as a chin guard.
Here for the first time @ 10 pm on a Saturday (4-17)Service and host stand is great and communicative. Kitchen is behind, and not working together. I’ve worked in dozens of kitchens and even owned a restaurant. Wings & fries hit the table cold.Look I’ve been there, you’re slammed and the kitchen is in the weeds and unmotivated. Whoever the KM is needs to garner more motivation and respect, get your team firing on all cylinders. This location is a money maker, I realize y’all are getting slammed at the time I was here, but analyze your practices and look for improvement areas.Good luck. Being a reasonable person I still enjoyed my experience, but there is room for improvement. Get a better kitchen team, and pay them better to do good work.
We waited for our food for an hour and a half. Drinks took a while and seem like there was only 2 servers for one section of the restaurant. After we complained it seem the server was trying to avoid us. Said there was 2 Togo orders before hand. We just ordered wings and fries. Could of probably been done faster in my air fryer. Got the good and it’s mediocre. We just love the pluckers in Houston instead. Never coming back to this one again.
Hands down the worst pluckers in AUSTIN TX. This place seriously is not professionally managed. I took my family here tonight 9-11-21 was the worst experience we’ve ever had at a pluckers period. Not only was the wait two hours to be seated the seating staff/hostess were not helpful at all and really didn’t seem knowledgeable about there job or seating arrangements. The manager on duty Daniella Espinoza was extremely rude and disrespectful towards me. I had to send back two of my plates because the Buffalo bites I had ordered and waffle fries with my entree were cold and not fresh at all. So the Buffalo bites were replaced after 30 min after being sent back. After I sent back the waffle fries with the server the MOD Daniella then brings the plate back to my table to ask if I were sending that dish back. I told her absolutely that the fries were cold and obviously appeared not to be fresh. Then I told her to try one if she didn’t believe me and then she raised her voice at me that she would never try a dish after a customer has eaten from. Then why would you bring back the plate to me to question that. It seems she was more interested in arguing with me then actually providing customer service. We will never return to this pluckers would rather spend an extra 8 min to drive up the road to Lakeline blvd we’re service there is never disappointing. Sad I have to drive extra mileage when this location is close to home for me. Come on pluckers you can do better than this.
Wow pluckers has really gone downhill....so sad! Pluckers used to be my all time favorite wing - but it was no better than any gross wingstop - very greasy and not crispy at all 🤢 I got the dry ranch, so the skins should be very crispy! Also the menu prices dont reflect the actual price. Got the 5 wing combo and it said $10.50 on menu, but they charged $14.25. Let me repeat - 5 wings and 12 waffle fries (I counted) are almost $15. Thats $2/wing and 40cents/waffle fry. They justified this with a very small sign on the door that said prices may vary! Two drinks and two lunch meals are $50 without tip - too expensive for 2 wing meals and 2 beers. If the prices have changed then pluckers should update all the menus.I gave two stars bc the draft beers were good.
Its not a very clean place the wait staff was great waited over 2 hours but they got us in as soon as we made a complaint this was on r Research Boulevard . The other one at 5:35 in round Rock they were not friendly at all then let us go in and they had all the tables almost empty do we need to wait 2 hours there too so needless to say when we went back same thing and they were unfriendly thank you
The food was ok. The wings were crunchy...I dont know how that even happens....but it was weird. Salad was good.(My husband wants it noted that he LOVED everything...the Jamecanero Jerk was Superb. Husband is convinced that I dont know good food). The tables and seating were kept very clean, however the bathrooms needed attention.5 stars is due to the very attentive service from Yessi. She and the other staffers were really great and they all seem happy to serve.
I love chicken wings (who doesnt?). Hadnt had them in quite a while and was in the area, so I decided to stop in.This place was pretty full and noisier than I prefer, but it was a Sunday afternoon and football was on. I was seated quickly and my order taken quickly too.My 5 mild Buffalo wings (extra crispy) came quickly with fresh celery and bleu cheese dressing. The wings were quite good. Crispy, meaty and very tasty. The celery and dressing was good too.My server was attentive and pleasant. All in all it was a very nice lunch and Id go back again.
Came in at 2pm on a Tuesday. Super lackadaisical service. There was probably 10 other customers in the restaurant, still took them longer than usual to take orders. Had to wave at the hostess (on her phone) to get her to bring us the check. Food was passable I guess. Wing shortage makes your bill jump by quite a bit.
Been here twice in the past year. Both times the host stand has been incredibly rude and both times I have chosen to leave. I realize they are busy enough to do that and not worry about missing out on customers but it’s sad as anytime I’ve had it catered I have enjoyed the wings. Just try another location.
Love the food, great wings and more. Good atmosphere for being a sports bar, friendly staff. Just one thing about the music...dont play none of that soft stuff of today. Remember...a sports bar with great hot wings and cold beer. Im there to have a good time, not catch feelings. :) two thumbs up!
Called my order in at 12:35 pm. Its 1:10 and waiter says they just dropped my 5 wings and fries. Are you serious? All he can say is were busy well maybe stop taking orders or advise the customer of a long wait before they pay. Usually when i call early i get here and my food is cold so i waited till i was close to order and now im waiting. Smh
Wings were NOT FRESH AT ALL! They tasted like old crispy fried chicken doused in too much syrupy sauce... not good.I had to call after they brought my food to the car... Wheres my complimentary celery? They said... oh sorry, well bring them out. I found out the hard way after eating the wings that they decided NOT to provide us with any wet napkin wipes.Makes you mad to get sub-par service AFTER youve already left a tip at the time of order placement.Long story short, we will drive the extra mile to head to WingStop for fresh chicken!
I’m not sure why you even give a time to pick up the food if your constantly 20 minutes late. I was actually surprised the wings were warm this time, normally they are ice cold. The fries were cold and soggy but the wings were warm so I guess that’s something. Your employee are unfriendly and couldn’t care less about customerService also.
Food was great. Michelada was awesome! Ask for Chase, he is amazing!!! Tables were sanitized when people left. Can’t say too much for the hostess. She was bothered with her job. Her entire body language screamed that she didn’t want to be there. Chase saved us from her and became our waiter.
I normally like Pluckers, but the quality of the food since Covid-19 hasnt been great. The wings were soggy and the cheese fries were dry. You can get better food for around the same price at Buffalo Wild Wings or Wing Stop. I did find the delivery to be pretty hassle free and the side sauces are good as well. I wouldnt recommend Pluckers right now.
Food was great but sat at the bar and really felt ignored the whole time. Had to ask for refills, had to wave the bar tender down to order and asked several times for the check. There were even multiple occasions where customers on both side were asked how everything but we were just skipped over. If there had been better service this would have been a five stars...
This location has awful service when it comes to take-out orders. Order is wrong more than half the time, usually missing sauces, and the staff working the front desk couldnt be lazier. Pluckers is unfortunately the best chicken near me, otherwise I would stop coming here in a heartbeat.Edit: After the reply below from Pluckers I contacted the general manager and he offered a gift card worth a few meals, so I have changed my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. In the time since I originally wrote the review my experience at this location has improved, so I can only guess they passed on my feeback to he management there.
Cheese sticks were good, but we only get an hour lunch we got there at 11:20, and we were told there was a huge catering order so okay that’s understandable but why would the table after us get their order 1st! We only ordered 2 salads and 5 wings. 30min after some lady comes up and tell us that they got a huge catering order which we knew! And then said our ticket was 3rd in line !!!!! Which how !!!??? When we got there there was only 2 tables!!! Everybody else got their food but us. Now we get no lunch. Very disappointed.
It was ok. Fried pickles were on the expensive side. 4.50 for 3 spears. That is about $6 for one pickle. And flavor was not worth the price. The wings were tasteful, but dry, need more umph in the flavor dept. Needed more sauce/seasoning. They went cold too fast. (Though that had more to do with the a/c right above me....)Wing flavors I had were Buffalo medium (slight tingle) spicy ranch (also slight tingle, better flavor), and spicy garlic parmesan, also decent flavor.I wont rule them out yet, and will try other items.
So I came down to Pluckers to get 15 wings 10 garlic parm 5 Ranch when I received my wings the pictures you can see the ranch taste like regular Wings the garlic parm taste like regular wings as well I went ahead and let them know that they didnt have no seasoning on it they left they came back I should have took a picture of it I didnt it was oil everywhere it was just messy it was just wet and these are dry Wings by the way so at the Le Mans going to tell me that usually charge more for that and Im about to charge more if you didnt do it right the first time I called it manager he just said that he was told to fix it with extra butter all I wanted was a little bit of the seasoning I wanted to actually taste flavor if I wanted regular fried chicken wings or work on the manager didnt understand the kitchen manager lied and not showed him the picture where he said that he could see all the white stuff and Ive shown the picture there is nothing there I just hate going to this Pluckers cuz everytime I go its always an issue its like one moment is right next to me its not Ive been eating at Pluckers For Years and this location always gives me problems the one in Cedar Park never had an issue with them love them so if you guys want to go to Pluckers please go to the one in Cedar Park
HORRIBLE!!!!!! We’re coming from Houston and really wanted to enjoy some wings fromPluckers since the one in Houston heights is just OUTSTANDING & the manager is just HORRID we waited an hour, just for my party and I can sit 4 tables apart when we told the host we wanted to sit close to one another, and when we acknowledged it to the manager, he tried to say it was regulations but yet other parties are in a group together. Just horrible! Just go to the original one in Austin because this one isn’t it nor worth it. Don’t waste your time, even a worker there said this one isn’t the one like the original or the one back in Houston.
The wings were great. The guy who greeted me and showed me to the table and the lady who served me were excellent, but what REALLY let me down on my visit to Pluckers was the speed in which the food came out. I sat waiting about 45 minutes from when I ordered to get my food. As I was just popping in for a quick lunch on my way to another appointment, this meant I had to take my food to go, and eat it cold after my appointment. Very dissapointing, as this was my first visit to a Pluckers!
This location has consistently provided slow service. There are plenty of empty tables, but no one getting sat. The hosts look like youre inconveniencing them when you ask for a table. The server was nice, but made excuses for the extremely slow food. We sat for nearly an hour before we got our wings and only three of us ordered. The food itself was also terrible. The wings were dry and looked like they sat under a heating lamp forever. There was a lack of sauce and the taste was burnt and rubbery. I love Pluckers, but this location is terrible. I will not be going back here.
The manager could not make time to come to my table when I requested to speak to them. Then all of a sudden some regional district manager shows up at my table and is filthy from head to toe. He was extremely rude and would not allow me to speak after he asked me what the problem was. I have been going to the Pluckers on South Lamar for years and never had this kind of experience. Stay away from this place its bad business.
Cool spot with a very friendly staff... wings and tots plus fried pickle spears... a great way to go. Wings were large and meaty just like you would want them. The tots were cool... I havent had many tots that stray away from Ore Idas... the fried pickle spears were really good... after I was told they dredge in a combo of cereal, (rice crispy, frosted flakes and corn flakes) I could taste the sweetness of the frosted flakes. Well done Pluckers.
I should not have to wait an hour at curbside after placing an order an hour and a half before even getting here for a single order of food for myself.Update: It’s been over an hour and a half after placing the order AN HOUR AND A HALF BEFORE GETTING HERE. How can one plate take over 2 hours?
Pluckers is weirdly addictive. I wonder if they put something in the sauce? There is almost no reason why I should like this place. It’s not really clean, the service is usually quick but highly variable, and most of the menu items are just ludicrously unhealthy. That said, the wing flavors are awesome and the beer is cold. Evidently that’s enough to bring me back almost weekly.
So I almost had a good time Until I ordered the Monday special In the manager brought my food out. This wouldve been fine but he clearly did not read receipt. He insisted to me and my family Before he sat my food down We would not be able to share. I asked what are you talking about they should have food coming out one and two I payed for the food regardless if my daughter wanted one I could give it to her. Later he found out It was a mistake. He did not see the whole receipt. By this time I was offended i asked him not to come back. It was embarrassing For him To check me and my girl. When he did not have the full information.
Had several issues with this place. Management ignored me for a while but I finally emailed them again. They reached out and acted nice and wanted to send me a gift card for my troubles. They send me a gift card in the mail for $75 which was really awesome and I didn’t expect that much. Well I order my food and drive all the way up there and the gift card was never activated and had a zero balance. So they send me a empty gift card and wasted $65 of their own food because it didn’t get paid for. I have this feeling that they were trying to be passive aggressive with that move. I am done with Pluckers and definitely won’t be back! Absolutely absurd and ridiculous!
So sad what happened to this place. Used to be the best wings AND service in Austin. Now everyone is rude and the food is mediocre at best. At one point the bartender was physically and verbally aggressive, cussing and slamming things around. The hosts acted like we were A-holes for walking in the door. The sauces are still good but the wings are always overcooked and they really skimp on everything. Not worth being in that horrible atmosphere. I hope this location comes under new management soon, current team is absolutely awful.
Ever since they added the spicy garlic parmesan, I have been hooked on this place. Very meaty wings and legs. Also, the boneless chicken strips are huge. The lunch portion is more than enough. Also, add the spicy ranch to the fries. You will not be disappointed. If you plan to eat here frequently, its very beneficial to join the Pluckers Club. You essentially get free food every time you dine. Whether it be an appetizer or a desert. Just give the waiter the card when you sit down and she will let you know what the perk of the day is. I think it is a one time fee to join the club. Definitely worth it.If you coming for lunch, make it an early lunch. The wait can be pretty bad during the week.
This is the second time I have gone to this location for Lunch break. The wait was like 5 min for a table. Waiter quick to order and we ordered drinks AND food at same time. No food for 40 minutes. We had to leave and they still billed us for drinks. Never again. Dont go unless you have a couple hours for lunch.
The three stars are for the waiter, she tried her best and kept apologizing and checking on us. The entire tables wings were cold, after we sent them back they microwaved them (the guy that brought the tray said it out loud), and then the manager came by a minute later to explain their sauce heater was broken. Last time I checked improperly heating your sauces to stop bacteria was against health code violations.
Once you wait the 30 minutes to get a table, you are seated accordingly and now wait 10 more minutes to have someone take your drink order, then another 30-45 mins to get your food. Along with the long wait times, the atmosphere of this Pluckers location is pretty nice, TVs everywhere, cool beer posters and signage. Plus a decent sized bar and bar area thats totally seperate from the rest of the restaurant. Food is good too although sometimes with the long wait times its not as fresh as you would be expecting. All in all, not a bad place to grab lunch or even a dinner with friends, if you dont mind loud environments.
Throughout this whole covid experience I’ve had to start ordering my wings through curbside. Unfortunately, every time I order from this location, we are either missing something or got the wrong thing. Plz have the servers start double checking before they run my food out.
Pluckers was once The wing bar to go to, however, that was over 6 years ago. Pluckers has not only gone down in service but in quality as well. Every aspect from the front of the house (checking in with host) to the back of the house (kitchen and servers) has gone downhill. Your wait time can be up to 45 minutes just to be seated than you wait another 45 minutes for your food with the hopes that it comes out of the kitchen correctly and that its actually HOT (especially since it took so long). The quality of the food used to be the reason my husband and I went. Now the only reason I go is because they have a couple literally two flavors that my husband likes.Mediocre wings. Mediocre service. Overpriced.
I am incredibly disappointed overall by todays experience. I placed an online order at approximately 3:25 PM, in which it reflected that it would be ready at 4:00 PM. I arrived to Pluckers and my food was NOT ready until approximately 4:25 PM. I figured, maybe my food will be nice and hot since it took a long time to prepare. Opened my box and my food is COLD. Time is money and this venue wasted my time. On top of that, the food was not warm like I anticipated it to be. Ridiculous. Never again will I visit this facility. Pluckers: Do better.
Think of every sports bar youve been too. Food was usually an after thought to warm beer and watered down drinks. Pluckers takes the sports bar to the next level. Great food, drinks, atmosphere, locations, etc. And when Covid hit, Pluckers lead the way with proper protocols and proceedures. Been a devoted fan since 98 and will be till Im 98!!
I love coming to sit at the bar top. The bartenders are super friendly and are great about making sure of you need anything. I would definently recommend you stop by for a drink or a few. There are tons of TVs to see your favorite team play from the entire restaurant not just the bar area.
The entire experience was horrible. I called in to place a pick up order, whomever answered was rude, unhelpful and continued to rush me while I made the order! When I got to the location I wasn’t greeted, I had to walk up to the front desk before I was even acknowledged. My food wasn’t waiting on the hot plate, I paid and left a note about the person answering the phone. When I got home ranch was all over the bottom of the bag on all of the napkins and part of the carry out trays because they just threw the food in the bag on top of the ranch! I Do NOT recommend this location unless you are drunk and want to waste money! Idk how to add a pic but I did take one of the experience. Shame on them for the horrible experience from start to finish!
Not the healthiest option around but it is delicious. Our friends were leaving town and they chose this place as one of their last restaurants in town. My wife and I had never been here before and were a little skeptical because we tend to avoid chains (not purposefully, it just happens). The beer options were pretty good, not amazing but decent. The chicken sandwich was the biggest chicken sandwich Id ever seen. It was huge. It took me 3 meals to eat it all. The staff was friendly, the place was a little loud but thats expected, and it wasnt overly expensive. Overall, Id eat here again.
Last time I came to pluckers the girl up front told me my food wasn’t ready when it was in the warmer the whole time. I waited for about 20 mins past the time it said it would be ready before I got it. This time I’m greeted with super unwelcoming people in a dismal environment. I ordered online and it said it would be ready in about 30 mins. Here I am an hour after I ordered waiting in a closed in packed restaurant without my food. I will never be back to this place again. Oh and just got our cold food after waiting all that time. Plus the extra blue cheese I paid for wasn’t there. One ranch for 20 wings also. My blue cheese cups were literally a quarter of the way full. Rip off over hyped place that I wish I wouldn’t have gave a dime! I feel like I just got robbed!
We started with 1 great server named Neely who made sure our orders were placed quickly but she had to leave so we were switched over to David. Great customer service and assistance from David. He was on top of everything from start to finish and assured us that he would take care of anything we needed. Great food and music!! Thanks for ending our night well.
Great time watching the current game and eating some good food. Ordered the boneless basket and couldnt even finish the entire thing which is great of you like having leftovers. Being a card member always has its benefits as we received a free brownie and had $13 taken off our meal total! Looking forward to our next visit and if you decide to go on a bust day call ahead to avoid a long wait.
This happened today, I’ve had good experiences here in the past, typically taking clients and customers to a fast and close restaurant with good food.We ordered our food around 11:30 and waited. And waited and waited. Around 12:15 our server came by to tell us the kitchen was going to be around another 30-40 minutes for our food to arrive. Because of this, we ended up having to leave and our business meeting was cut short. Unfortunately I am going to have to take this off my lunch meeting list as I can’t afford to take anyone to a establishment where we won’t be served food. Very unfortunate way to try to retain my future business.
As someone that lives in Austin, I love Pluckers as much as the next gal but this location is rough. The restaurant is always a bit dirty, bathrooms are gross and the service is lacking. The wait time for your food can be extensive and I end up just asking for a box and getting out of there. The food ends up okay but couldnt recommend this location to anyone.
Before I moved to Texas all I had for wings was Applebees and B Dubs, thankfully we discovered Pluckers. We love the different wing flavor options they offer as well as the fries. The service is always prompt and the atmosphere is wonderful. Perfect place for a Friday or Saturday night.
Pluckers is guaranteed to mess your Order up every time when it is take out. And every time I order ranch with extra it’s never there. I’ve gotten feathers in my wings 3 times from pluckers and did not get my meal paid for. Will not be going back. Wing stop is much better and professional.
Pluckers has some of the best wing flavors I have ever tried. This restaurant comes with a huge bar and lots of big screen for watching games and fights making for a great environment. The wings are also gigantic compared to other places, a great drink selection, and have huge mugs of beer for their customers. The only downside is it does get very packed and the wait is usually long, and when the trivia or DJ guy is there, forget it, you wont hear a thing. Definitely going back though!
I love Pluckers! It is a go to when I am wanting something fat and fried and just all around bad for me. Ive been a fan since I moved to Austin. I first got hooked when I worked at UT and they had a UT staff discount day once a month. Hello team bonding over fried goodness. During this stint we were convinced to join the Pluckers club too. The free birthday meal (up to $15) was worth it alone. Who doesnt love a free meal!I tend to get the same things at Pluckers. Ive had the BBQ chicken salad (or something like that) which is huge and so not healthy but at least I am getting some greens in. My go to meal is the boneless wings basket. I love the Honey BBQ sauce and havent convinced myself to try anything new. A tip: always get the waffle fries. My biggest complaint is that the food never tends to come out piping hot. I would think that if the waffle fries just came up from the fryer Id burn my tongue eating them when they came out but that doesnt seem to be the case. The service tends to be decent throughout my Pluckers experiences. I will keep going back because sometimes a girl just wants a bunch of fried food and a cold one to wash it down.
My family and I absolutely love pluckers. Its by far one of the best restaurants to get chicken wings. My favorite sauce is buffalo spicy. Also, Pluckers typically always has great service. We had a birthday dinner tonight and I guess we must of had a trainee be ause it o er 45 minutes to get our order out to us and when dinner arrived, our order was messed up. Ill still go to the restaurant but hopefully get different servers. Its still one of my favorite pla es to eat.
I have been to other pluckers locations which are great !! This particular location on burnet by the 183 not so much! Bartender had an attitude and then the food was cold !! The only nice spot were the greeters at the door ! They have some retraining to do at this location! I wont be back to this location!
Dont ever sit at the bar for actual food...We managed to get an drinks and appetizers ordered and then the bartender never came back for our dinner order. Then became offended when we asked for our check an hour later. He actually forgot we had ordered drinks and an appetizer already and asking what could he get for us. I told him that we HAD wanted to order wings but no one had come over to us for our order. So I will let my husband have his Pluckers for lunch because Im not going back for dinner after this.
Only giving 2 stars for the service. Went here a while back for a late night wing fix since the more northern locations closed a bit earlier than this one. I ordered buffalo mild wings, extra wet, and some fried pickles. The wings were drenched in just grease. LITERALLY no sauce, just grease. and the pickles were extremely overcooked. Needless to say I never went back to this location. Service was meh, but the food was just horrible.
Absolutely delicious food here! You gotta get the fried cheese app. They are HUGE and the best fried cheese Ive ever had. Also try the chick strip basket, which I know seems lame to get boneless wings at a legit wing joint but trust me- they are so crispy and delicious. The homemade chips are yummy and crispy and the mac n cheese was surprisingly cheesy and creamy which totally took me by surprise. Dont forget to join the pluckers club because you get a free item every time you go and lots of other perks!
I love wings. LOVE them! Pluckers is my go-to here in Austin. Bakers Gold instead of the classic buffalo is a WIN! The staff at this location is pretty great. Ive always had great service, a full beverage, and a full stomach. Im a Pluckers member, and I love how I can build points and use them for future dining credits. They have a patio, too, yall! Eat outside, because it can get kinda noisy inside.
Always a fan of Pluckers. They have really good wings - both boneless and with bone in. The boneless wings here have more meat than breading and are huge which is rare for boneless wings in Austin. They will give you samples of all the sauces here also - I think our waiter was new though cause he forgot to bring us the celery and carrots to dip in the sauce to try - we had to use our fingers lol.The food is good here but I think I like the one on S. Lamar better - better ambiance I would say. They still are charging for every little extra thing so I think its more pricey than it should be.
I have written a extremely negative review about the Pluckers in Round Rock. Today I visited this Pluckers. WOW, polar opposites the wings came out hot, I never ran out of beer, and this bartender is working a full bar to perfection. I believe the bartender name is Rob, Pluckers needs him to train bartenders to be like him. This is the most impressive bartender I have seen in any Pluckers!
Ordered boneless chicken wings. Most disgusting food I hve ever eaten. I had to throw it away and was scared I would get some kind of food poisoning frm the food being left out for so long. Their chicken was Soo dry and wasnt even white anymore. Its like they had given me someones canceled order from early this morning or yesterday. I will never come back to this place again! Also couldnt even eat the fries either cause they had dried out as well
Typical sports bar, but surprisingly family friendly. Great wing flavors available. I highly recommend the Jamaican Jerk. Its not on the menu as a wing sauce anymore, but I have been able to ask for it. Its not a good place for conversation as it is quite loud.If you go often enough, joining the Pluckers Club is a good deal. Weve gotten our money back several times over in free food.
Wait wasnt long. We were a group of four, probably just caught the tail end of a rush. We were sat promptly and given our drinks quickly, that was it for a while. No refills or order taking. Waiter disappeared I assume to complete some of his closing duties. From the time we were sat to the time we recieved our order was slightly over an hour. The food, wings specifically, were not that great. Hardly tossed in sauce, burnt and barely warm. Probably the worst Pluckers experience weve had in the ATX.
Editing for detail as it appears Pluckers actually watches these reviews.Coming for takeout/online orders within the last hour of operation seems to be a mistake at this location. The hostess apologized for the wait (45 minutes or so wait beyond promised time) but said at least that meant everything would be fresh.I would hope everything was made fresh at the time of ordering, but maybe Im reading too much into the statement. Edit: That aside, the hostess was polite to everyone, though she seemed stressed and had to leave the front desk multiple times.Food quality here is usually good, though the upcharge for addons seems rather excessive. Edit: side order of sweet potato fries in its own small container consisting of maybe half a sweet potatos worth of waffle fries for $3.50 seems excessive, but maybe Im just nitpicking here. Im not enthused by the side pricing and the large discrepancies with and without entrees (ex. side garden salad with entree, $1.75, without, $4.50).The mens restroom? Disgusting when I went in tonight. They desperately need to clean more often. Edit: This was kind of the crown jewel in the poo sundae:Toilet: filthySoap dispenser: out of batteries (auto dispenser)Urinal: puddle of...something underneath. Could be water, could be urine. What stood out was that while they had time to place a wet floor sign in there they didnt have time to mop it up. A bit of old urine smell in there to. Suggestion: Clorox Urine Remover. Its mostly hydrogen peroxide, but it works. Also, if you dont clean that large unidentifiable mass of gunk out of the drain in your floor youre going to be in for a bad time if you ever actually have a leak/stoppage.Overall my guess is they just dont have enough people near the end of the night. Edit: Between the state of the bathroom, the large delay in getting food, and the harried hostess, it all seems to point back to that. Also, to dwhite who replied from management...Ill eventually come back. The foods still good. Ive liked every coating/sauce for your wings that Ive tried thus far. I just think theres lots of room for improvement in what is obviously a popular location.Best value from what Ive tried so far: Boneless wing basket. You will be full.A side compliment that Ill give for no upcharge: A massive kudos to you for having the option of a caesar salad with proper caesar dressing. For some reason places open late when I eat rarely have a caesar salad option.
I have a complaint of a manager named Greg (black skinny young man) who provided BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. As I picked up my wings, he said I had to dine in only because the coupon said dine in. I tried to hand him the coupon, he yanked his hand away, give me a rude look, and ignored me. I agreed to dine in and sit at the table. I ask the employees if this table is available and they told me yes. The manager said I had to sit at the bar or pay for the wings (there is 8 empty tables and no one waiting to be seated and not busy). Wow… This is absolutely a big NO NO in customer service. Is this how he treats all customers? If there is available seating, let the customer choose an available table to be seated. The manager enjoys treating any regular customer that has a coupon like trash and dirt. Just because a customer has as free coupon does not give him any right to treat them badly. Also, I even heard Greg calling me curse words and rude comments behind my back! A customer that overheard him calling me names told me she’s not ordering here because of his terrible attitude towards me.I am a regular at Pluckers that goes 3 times a week. I won’t be returning to this location, and I deal with a company that will not be ordering food from Pluckers ever again. His actions lost a regular customer and a company that orders large amount of food. If he continues to be a manager, I am sure he will drive away all customers with his rude and unprofessional attitude. To the head company manager: please demote or fired Greg because he will continue to provide the WORST customer service ever.
Smells like the inside of a ranch bottle. They gave us the wrong wings for every person at the table. The fried pickles were delicious and drinks were mediocre. Our waitress seemed to hate her life and didnt crack one smile the whole night. On the positive side, we entered our name early and barely had any wait time even though it was packed.
This place is almost always packed every night of the day. However they may be understaffed at the moment as there appears to be more open tables than waiting parties of late... Regardless, I love their wings here. Their ranch and gold rush are my top two favorite sauces! Honestly, the first time I ever came to Pluckers I thought their ranch would be wings drenched in ranch dressing, I never touched the stuff growing up, but a friend of mine ordered it and after trying a few, my perception of ranch changed forever. Dry and crisp, the exact opposite of what I imagined, their ranch wings some seasoned just enough to make you hooked. Their gold rush sauce is like a sweet mustard-based bbq sauce and hits all the right notes for a sauce lover like myself.
I just moved to Austin from Atlanta literally 2 days ago and got a craving for wings like the wings I got back home in my home town of Ft Lauderdale FL (I hadnt found any in Atlanta that compare) stumbled upon this spot and saw the crowd so figured something good had to be cooking in there to pack a crowd like that on a Monday so I placed an order and waited. I ordered the 15 piece with sweet potato fries and they were cold BUT still sooooo good the wings were piping hot so Im assuming they cooked the fries too soon but again they were still GREAT! What a welcome I got I loved the 3 wing flavored and the wings are just like back home but better! 10 stars!
A close friend of mine wanted to watch the TEXAS versus Baylor, College Football game. This Pluckers was not too crowded. Not every table was occupied. It took almost 35 minutes before a waitress took my friends and my order. I saw her speed walk past our table a couple of times. The Mens Restroom is one in, and one out. I had to wait over five minutes, my bladder hurt. There is NO SOAP in the Mens Restroom !!! I walked to my car to get hand sanitizer. My Impossible Burger was delicious. Please have more vegan versions of the Impossible Burger. My friends wings were not seasoned correctly. He had to wait another fifteen minutes for the side seasoning to arrive.Towards the end of the game, another waitress started serving us. Confusing! I left my hand sanitizer at the table, and forgot to mail back my comment card.I will NOT be coming back to Pluckers Research Boulevard, Austin, again !!!Please focus on speed, efficiency, and hand washing soap in the Mens Restroom.
Service was absolutely awful.Office lunch, 10 people, arrived at 11:10, placed our order at 11:20 and didnt see our server again til our food arrived at 12:10.The server was rude, never came back to check up on us until we talked to the hostess, or the bussing team. The manager came over and was completely uninterested. He cut us off apologized and blamed it on being busy despite there having been no one there when we arrived. He ended up giving us a gift card, but that was after we said we would never return unless he could rescue this interaction. We asked if hed comp instead and he was unapologetic. I had to ask for the manager twice before he even came over. For comparison; the other 5 who came with us went to the other side of the dining room and completed their entire meal by 12:15.On top of that, some food never arrived and our server never checked to see how we were doing.Do not go here unless you want to be ignored, waste your time and money.
Visited this location around 10:30 in the evening to place a to go order for 15 wings and a side salad. Wait time was ~20 minutes. The salad was fine, but all the wings (2 different flavors) were either objectively overcooked or severely dried out from heat lamps. I wont be back, personally.
I love pluckers. Ive visited several locations and have also been a pluckers member for a few years now (highly recommend becoming a member). However, Im not very impressed with the Research Boulevard location. Twice now that weve gone the teriyaki wings have not been good. The waitress admitted they had been having issues with the sauce and gladly remade the wings with a different flavor. We appreciate that effort. However, as far as the environment I dont prefer this location. Its cramped and not as exciting as other locations.
Waited an hour for standard order of wings and fries. When they came out they were cold. We asked for a manager and they made excuses about the manager being busy. Eventually the manager came by, comped the meal and promised it would be remade fast. Less than 10 minutes later we had our food. I appreciate the attention from the manager but feel that at the point cold, old food is served the situation is irredeemable. I doubt I will return to this location.
AMAZING! Love the food, always have good Wingo nights. BEST Cheese Fries ever! Must go to. Multiple locations. Usually crowded on the weekends. Parking kind of sucks though.... only downfall of this location. The best location of all the local Pluckers. Chicken Club is amazing as well!!
Horrible service and rude employee. I was on the phone over 10 minutes to just place an order. If you want wings, please ensure to call in at least 30 minutes prior since it takes forever to just place your order--Edit from last time,The company replies to this but they take no action. Just a fyi...
Most of what I’ll say is in regards to the lunch shift. Food is usually great but service is lacking. Servers and hosts are slow to change TV channels when asked and it often takes three times asking to get it done. Today it took 15 minutes to get our drinks after our server disappeared for awhile. It was after the normal lunch rush so the place wasn’t even very busy. Had to ask a host to check on them. Wings are always great but often take longer than usual/expected to come out. Some staff, especially the hosts, come off as not wanting to be there.
Out of all the new Pluckers this location will always be the best. Theyre always busy so obviously not every experience is going to perfect, but they will always fix what needs to be fixed. Ive had cold wings or fries before but theyve always fixed it with no issues.
I brought friends from out of town to the Research location to enjoy a local favorite meal. I left in tears. Literally crying. I have never in my life felt such disrespect, aggression and rudeness from a server. I would like to speak with a General Manager as the store manager we spoke to was seemingly not concerned in the least. Buy the time the food was served we asked to have it packed up to go as Mike (the server who when asked for his name walked away and yelled his name over his shoulder) had ruined the experience entirely. To give examples of Mikes behavior...- greeted us at the table and opened with Im not your server but I will get drinks started in a tone that seemed he was extremely bothered to be stepping in to assist another servers guests- Drinks were brought and we were told our real server will be with us soon, we waited for 20 minutes and no one returned- We asked the hostess if it would be better to move sections as our real server was busy with a big top table, we would have been happy to relocate, not a problem at all- At this point Mike returned to take our order with a very passive aggressive nature as I am sure he was officially bothered by our presence and annoyed to take our order, and equally annoyed that we had complained about the wait- Our real server then approached and greeted us Daniel was very nice and pleasant and we were relieved our dealings with Mike were over- Mike then approached with my salad and shoved the dressing cup my direction in an aggressive manner and then winked at me. This action prompted my friend to ask for his name because at this point we could no longer ignore how unprofessional and rude he was being to a guest who came in for a quick lunch- We complained to the manager and asked that Mike not return to our table as he was being borderline hostile at this point- He reapproached the table after this request and sarcastically announced that he would be taking care of us the remainder of the service and winked again.- Daniel returned to announce that our food would be right out and at this point I was in tears and was so upset at the interaction I requested to pack the rest of our lunch in to gos because Mike had ruined the entire experience and enough was enough- Our food was boxed up and full bill paid with no apology our even attention paid to the fact a customer left the restaurant in tears when all I wanted to do was take out of towners to my favorite restaurantI will never return to this location that I have frequented for 15 years. This was such a horrible experience and I will worn my friends and family to avoid the location as well. It was this bad. I worked in the service industry for 10 years and I have never seen such disregard for a guest in my life. It was shameful and I believe Mike is in the wrong line of work. You should consider if you want this individual representing the Pluckers brand.
I said Pluckers have the biggest Wings in Austin. And a good amount of flavor sauces to boot. the Pluckers card program is pretty cool. Is always fun to witness somebody attempting the fire in the hole challenge. The only thing that I dont like is that some special sauces that they created are only known by specific employees that dont work there anymore. I had a soft called the Dragon and it was delicious but nobody knows how to make it. that sucks
Today i order online from the north reserch location & it was horrible! Never have i been so dissatisfaction from my favorite wing spot. I was treated rudely at curbside pick up and wings were old and burnt up. We all are going through this pademic together now is not the time to be rude or serve poor quality food😒
Okay, i was starving when we got there and let me just say that even though it was pretty steady in there, we got our food in a pretty good time frame. the waiter was awesome and so helpful. my boyfriend wondered how the Dr. Pepper wing sauce tasted so the waiter gladly brought us one so we could taste test. definitely my favorite pluckers location!
I have been coming to this location when they first open and will not longer return. After the last 2 months of going I still have not learned my lesson, just thought it would get better. :( Bad service and bad food. 5 wings and a batman not so bad but I try to get a combo and got the worse garlic fries and the bathrooms are always dirty. One time got bad service the Manager was so nice and gave us $30 gift card but went to use it and got bad service but good food.
We have never been treated so badly by a restaurant and the manager!! We called ahead and told them we had 25 people celebrating a state championship and they told us toCome that there wasn’t much of a wait. We get there and they won’t help seat us at all- we offered to split up, etc. They had a totally empty patio and told us that was a waiting area and they would not serve out there. Then the manager came up and told us they closed in 2 hours and could not help us. Why didn’t they tell us that on the phone?? And they can’t feed 25 people in a two hour span??? We couldn’t believe they turned away that much business. They should not be in the restaurant business. The owner should be made aware because he lost a lot of money last night!!!!
This Pluckers not not the best. The service here has always been subpar and have found myself driving to the Round Rock location or the Lakeline location for better service. Several times Ive had issues with wings not being correctly cooked or not fully cooked as well.
One of my favorite wing places to go to. I go so often I got a pluckers club membership and it is great. I always have someone with me to eat, so the free entree or dessert is a nice plus, plus you get points for everyhting you buy. The waiters can sometime take a while to get to your table, but I never really had an issue with the service.
We came to eat on a Friday night and we were told there was a 20-30 min wait for sitting inside. We opted to sit outside as there were currently open tables. after waiting for over 30 min as we were about to leave and discussing other food options our waiter finally shows up. We are giving a one star due to the fact that the staff completely forgot about us only to appear after a employee passed by over hearing our looking for other restaurants. The 4 greeters standing in front failed to do there job as they watched us sit here after seating us through the window the whole time. To top it all off after food and drinks were brought out the staff was MIA.... hardest place to get a check ever.
This was I first time eating in the restaurant is normally order to go since the food has always been great. I probably will choose a less nosey area. The food was still great I had honey bbq and lemon pepper with a side of the most delicious and cheesiest mac&cheese around. Food was hot, fresh and delicious as always. My only issues that when some has a birthday they have several employees march out and sing which is nice and all except for the fact that they have utensils in plastic cups that they bang around making so much noise. I wish they used something else to sing happy birthday. They had multiple birthdays that day and that noise was just annoying. So go for the food definitely.
Any chance of having a good experience was probably ruined by the 20+ top of teenagers who took chairs from a good number of tables in the restaurant and overloaded the kitchen with their orders. Fried pickles were burnt. Wait staff is nice and bar knows how to make a Mexican martini which is the only reason I’m giving this place 3 stars. Floor and menus were dirty.
So youre craving delicious fried food? Pluckers is your place! Its so good that youll eat til you wished you were bulimic. Seriously. The appetizers are so good its hard to not just stop there: fried pickles, fried mushrooms, fried cheese, fried mac & cheese (my fave), just to name a few. But the wings, oh, the wings. There are so many flavors to choose from and theyre all great!Id strongly recommend joining the Pluckers Club--this will give you access to some amazing deals.
Called in and ordered a pick up order , the girl who answered was extremely rude. When we went to pick up our order they rushed us and when we got home the extra sauce , and cheese werent there . The food was already cold, fries tasted like they had been out a while. Ordered extra cheese on the Philly cheese stake and received barely any cheese much less the extra I paid for . Ordered two additional ranches that I was charged for and also didnt receive. Love pluckers but wouldnt go back to this location .
Not their best showing. My Son received cold fries, then my combo didnt even come with fries which I was fine with since I dont typically eat more than 3, but she charged me for it. The fried pickles were deep fried too long and the pickle itself tasted like oil. I wanted to eat them with a fork...but...They said the didnt have silverware bc they were all dirty???
I Recommend this place before or after the party, the bonless, pickles, jalapeños, criss cutt chesse fries, everything delicious! You need to make reservation at least if you want to go at night since the waiting list could be long and it gets crowded. They also validate the parking lot if you park ont he building beside it.
I love the wings and the food here, however the service is not that good as i would like to be, normally you have to wait a little while and once you get your food, the waiter almost never come again to see if everything is ok or you might need something else. I like the place, is nice for meeting friends, watch football games and so on. I hope next time i can give them 5*

2022-01-18Recently, for Monday Night Football, a friend and I visited Pluckers Wing Bar (Research Boulevard Location). It was busy on a Monday night at 6pm and by the time we left, all of the bar seats were full for Monday Night Football.I had a coupon for 5 Free Wings, which I had earned by attending a University of Texas basketball victory. To use the coupon, you must order at least $2 of additional food, which was easy to do given all the menu options. My friend had the Teriyaki BBQ wings with waffle fries, and I had the Buffalo Hot wings with tater tots.I love the Buffalo Hot sauce; it literally sets my lips on fire, but that is what I crave. The wings were hot, juicy and crispy - the perfect mixture for a chicken wing.Pluckers is definitely my favorite wing spot in Austin - although I prefer the Pluckers on South Lamar or in West Campus in terms of location.

2022-05-15Ive had pretty good service in the dining room, so that brings me back. The bar is hit or miss--but I realize sometimes they have been busy focusing on drinks. That said, Pluckers serves a full menu at the bar, so they should always be ready for that. The food has always been on target. Cant go wrong with any wing order order; I recommend the ranch rub. I also recommend the Buffalo chicken salad--still get chicken with any sauce, but with a beautiful salad that includes cheese, bacon, tomatoes, cabbage, carrots.Regarding appetizers, my favorite is the fried pickles. So good! The problems with this restaurant are 1) its starting to look rundown. Two notable things are the bathrooms are worn out and the floors are beat up. 2) the hostesses are not friendly. I wonder if they even want their jobs or if they just get annoyed by the public engaging them.

2022-05-28Long wait. Best to check in on Yelp to avoid waiting 1-2 hours for seating. The staff is always attentive and friendly but the wait is always always terrible. Even with checking in on Yelp, the table we were eventually seated-to was sitting empty for 20+ minutes so I am not sure why we were even waiting that long. Its also VERY loud with all the sports on all the screens. So not quite the place if youre looking for a dinner with conversation; the staff really seemed to have the volume cranked up high.My Overall Bottom line/s:Good food, friendly wait staff, bad ambiance, bad wait times

2022-04-16Ive had a Pluckers Club Membership for over a decade and have annihilated wings at Pluckers during that time. Ive seen them expand and have witnessed their prices double. I went for a visit with my family last night and was baffled by a 10 wing entree which was priced at $18. This same entree used to have 12 wings several years ago with a much lower price tag. Squeezing the customer by offering less chicken and increasing prices at the same time decreases the value proposition of stopping by for a quick meal. Sounds like investors are calling the shots now. Needless to say, we got up and left. This is fried chicken, not steak folks.Have you lost your minds? Greedy savages.Pluckers will eventually fail and a new business with less overhead will emerge.Go to your nearest grocery store and learn to make wings at home. Problem solved.

2022-04-17Drinks where alright. But I should of lessened to the online reviews. Wings I guess where alright could of been fried longer. Sauce ahhh and just like all the other. They where worm at best told 1hr and 45 minutes for a table. So we sat at the bar. Just like some people on here I guess if your not a regular they seem to not really care about you. I love wings and really wanted to love this place. But its just not worth it in the end.

2022-04-01I came here on a Thursday night, and they were obviously super busy. There was a wait line of 45 min, so my fiancé and I sat at the bar. The bartenders were super speedy, even though the rail was full, and everyone was friendly. My drinks were delicious! I got an alcoholic tea and a margarita. They made the drinks super fast. We ate cheese sticks; sorry I don’t have a photo. The food came fast and was piping hot, just the way I like it. Great experience, will come back.

2022-06-10Honest and non angry review. Visited pluckers for the first time at research blvd around noon on June 9. Location was packed with guests. Wait to seat was about 15 minutes, all servers super busy. We ordered chicken wings with fries and fried cheese. Fried cheese was super salty - had to turn it back and waited for chicken to arrive for 30 minutes or so. Chicken turned out tasteless , dry and feathers were sticking out. Moreover, I asked our server to replace the plates and silverware couple times, because it was dirty with fat or something… can’t complain about the server though, he was super busy and was nice and polite and didn’t charge for cheese. This place is very dirty in my opinion, didn’t eat the food due to taste and sanitary issues.

2022-02-18Food was nice and hot, enjoyed it a lot. But I’m pretty sure my waiter redeemed all my plucker points on a $150 order. Didn’t really want to make a scene. But i feel like the employees should know better than that.

2022-02-07Wow...My son and I stopped by the Pluckers at Burnet & Research. Were from out of town but work in the area, but we had never been to Pluckers, so I figured that wed give them a try.We were informed that there would be a 45 minute wait. Since we decided to get our order to go, we thought that it might be a little quicker to order at the bar and have a beer while we wait.45 minutes later, our food came out and we took off. We are only 3 minutes away so it should still be hot, right? Nope. Maybe warm to cool at best. And the chicken thighs I ordered, were waaaaay over cooked! I couldnt even bite through the edges. My sweet potato waffle fries were not even warm and looked as though they were sitting there for some time before they were brought out to us.NOT a good good experience at all.I honestly dont see what the hype is about and why on earth there should be any kind of wait...Maybe just an off night...🤔

2021-11-05It took longer to get a table than my order. In 5 minutes I had my order at the table and it was all cold. Wings were cold to the touch and also the Tater Tots.I asked for a fresh batch of Tots and all they did was reheat them. $22.41 for one person is a lot to pay for cold food. Last time I come to this particular Pluckers.
