I just picked up 3 pizzas, fried mozzarella and what I thought was insalante pomodoro di mar. I got back to our room to find out it was pasta fruit di mar and we alao had no silverware to eat it. My wife cant have pasta so I called, spoke to the manager.(Shane) He not only apologized and took responsibility for the mixup, he also had the right dish delivered as well. Were human, we make mistakes and even though we had an issue with our order, the food was delicious and the correction secured the fifth star.We dont come to this area often as we live in Deer Park but if we do we will definitely be going back to PomodorosP.S. When I walked in to pick up the food, I wished we were eating there instead of taking out. The place smelled AMAZING!!!!
Update! Havent been here in a couple of years and decided to go to this outstanding restaurant tonight and saw the exquisite remodel for the first time and was very impressed! Not only that was impressive but the staff, in particular William was very polite, funny, thoughtful and an incredible server! He charmed us all. Now to the food, I had the amazing Chicken Picatta and Cesar salad. So very fresh and delicious! Pardon all the exclamation points but its well deserved for this review. My roommate had the Chicken Marsala and it was delicious! Our host had the Chicken Fettuccini and he says it was the best he ever had. Even the water was awesome! Seriously, I cant criticize a thing! And we didnt have any alcohol to enhance our enthusiasm either lol! Well done Pomodoros, well done!!!!!!!!!!! *******
The manager was absolutely amazing and the menu looked brilliant. We were there for 40 minutes, sat at the table for 30 minutes and we were completely ignored the whole time. Makes me sad, I would have loved to try this place.Edit: I sent the email, much like the service then reply was non existent.
I went in a couple of weeks ago and had the Shrimp Fettuccini Alfredo, it was so good I pulled the waiter over and said so. Apparently sauces, at least that one, are not made until you order the dish. I didnt post about it just thought it was really good.Went back yesterday and bought their pizzas for my office staff and a couple of salads. Brooklyn style crust pizzas were crazy good, salads too.I dont know whats happened in the food business, but its hard to find a place that can cook without throwing a boil bag in some hot water. This place rocks.
A group of us dined there and had a great dining experience! Austin, our server, was fast, friendly, and efficient. His timing for drinks and refills was spot on. The food was very good, the portions were generous, and to me, the price was a good value. Would definitely go back.
Voted “Best Italian” in League City! You can tell why the moment you walk in!!! Warm atmosphere, friendly host, and THE SMELL!!! Let me tell you about the SMELL!!! Wow, as a Italian/Irish girl from NOLA and a foodie- I know food!!! I was surrounded with amazing chefs my whole life! If you are looking for amazing true Italian place than this is your place! Super kid friendly to romantic, just ask! The BAR - with Kelly and Shane you won’t be disappointed. Bon appétit!
The snapper josephine was not good. The fish was barely warm, with what appeared to be a strange brown meat sauce drowning the fish. The spaghetti was undercooked, brittle and also barely warm. My guest had the veil piccata. It was barely warm and over salted. Again it had the same sauce as the fish dish drowning everything. Again, the spaghetti was undercooked, brittle and barely warm. The meal appeard to have been under a heating lamp for too long a duration. The dinner was partially eaten, boxed to go and discarded on arrival home. I wont be returning anytime soon.
SUPERB! From the VERY professional wait staff to the food and the wine. We live around the corner from the restaurant and I cant believe we hadnt been there until now. Highly recommended for special occasions or if you just want to get out and have a total quality experience. Foodies! Go. NOW! You wont regret it!
I love Italian food, its probably one of my favorites. Previously Ive been pretty loyal to Frenchies but I recently didnt have the best visit there which was disappointing so for my father in laws birthday we decided to come here because he said he likes Pomodoros better. I will say, just upon walking in, it was beautiful, comfortable, welcoming. There was a nice little conversation/ waiting area and bar, it may sound weird but lighting has a bit of influence on how much I like/dislike a place. I like when a business can create a kind of cozy but still elegant-ish feel and from that to the decor this place just nailed it. Now, to what really matters, the food! My husband got shrimp, they were huge and delicious and came stuffed with cheese and in a red sauce and wow, bravo 👏 I got chicken and pasta with a garlic, lemon butter sauce that was light and fragrant and delicious. My son got gnocchi but I cant remember what sauce, it was also wonderful. He and I shared because he really loved mine and I can never pass up gnocchi. This is a great little spot and we are already planning our next dinner here.
Food was Delicious (as always) & staff was friendly, attentive, & professional. Only negative was slow service. While the majority of the customers in the restaurant were retired Seniors & slow, laid back service is ok, I still work, so I now know not to go here on my lunch hour.
The service was great! However the food seemed precooked and the appetizer undocked. However after years of being in the restaurant business I learned ambience and surroundings are the key unfortunately we sat for tables over from what appeared to be the owners daughter and her friends home the daughter was very loud who seem to like the sound of her own voice someone might want to remind her not everyone does we were trying to have dinner and talk and all we heard Was her voice!!! Service was great but management and food needs work! We will go to Olive Garden next time. I’m sure taste will be the same!😳
I called ahead to see if my fav soup was being served. It wasnt but the hostess convinced me to come in anyway. Service, food, atmosphere, staff...everything was wonderful. Hadnt had spaghetti and meatballs that good in years.Oh and I was in & out in 30 minutes. Major plus!!I will be back! 😊
We just celebrated our daughters law school graduation with a party in their private room and we cannot say enough about how wonderful everything was!! Jo and her staff treated us like royalty. The food was exceptional and the service was even better! Thank you for such a special memory!
Delicious! Authentic Italian food owned by a local Italian family. I love the vibe in the restaurant. Very cozy yet up scale and romantic at the same time. The new bar expansion is beautiful. There isnt anything on the menu that Ive tried and been disappointed with. Staff is welcoming and make sure that every part of your meal is perfect. I especially like this sweet bus boy named Noah. He does a good job and keeps your water glasses full. 100% recommend this place!*Do not mistaken this restaurant with the one on NASA parkway.*
Wonderful location, beautiful design on the inside as well as the out, the food was fantastic tasted great, was very fresh and very generous proportions for the price. Shout out to our waitress Kim that made sure we were happy with our drinks our service and our food. Not only will I be going back but I will definitely recommend this to all my friends and family!
Manager accommodated our needs and made us feel welcome. The food was delicious, service was excellent and we love the new expansion. They added a nice bar/lounge area that is separate from the dinning room. It is so nice to have a great restaurant to go to that is local!! I highly recommend the tortellini w/ creme Rosa sauce, the eggplant parmesan or chicken Marsala. However, everyone in our group thought their dish was the best.
MAMA MIA!This fine eatery offers service that is nothing less than perfect! Food is exquisite, and crew members Alejandro Sanchez, Austin Helton, Ethan Tran, Michael (Josh) Fitch, and Samuel (Tre) Perez add to the superb phenomenon that is Pomodoros Cucina Italiana! May God bless them, for they surely have a bright future ahead of them!Much love,Deandre L. Mitchell
I’ve lived in Houston area for 2.5 years. I’m from New England and this whole time I’ve struggled to find a good slice of pizza. I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza tonight and it is the BEST PIZZA IVE EVER HAD. Props to the chef this pizza was amazing. I’m going to tell everyone I know. Thank you. Thank you 🙏🏻
4 on the food. Good but not exceptional.2 - 3 on the service. Certainly not personable.Joshua was the only employee not wearing a mask. Frankly, being in the elderly category, we felt jeopardized by his flaunting of the rules. All others we encountered were friendly, of good service, and masked.
Things seem to be improving, would recommend! About a year ago I would have said to just drive 10 more minutes to the NASA 1 location because the food is far better and has better service. I’m happy to say I am now wrong. Wife and I really enjoyed our delivered meal, the quality and freshness was evident. The creamy red sauce and marinara had great flavor (previously they had been substandard).Online order for delivery was easy and very well done. Order was about 10 minutes later than quoted, but was piping hot and fresh. Saturday night at 7p, totally understandable.Happy eating!
Traffic was too bad to go to mod pizza so we tried this place for the first time. The interior is great towards an Italian theme restaurant. BUT!!! $84 for 4 pizzas, 2 were 10” broccoli and cheese crust and 2 were 12” gluten free crust just doesn’t add up for me. The same meal would have cost me $45 at mod pizza with unlimited toppings. I was very upset my wife paid so much but she is way nicer than me. I would have said nope and left.
Wow, what a surprise. These restaurants in strip malls are often brightly lit and marginally decorated. Pomodoros is the exception. Wonderful ambiance, mood lighting and very tastefully decorated. VERY nice! But what about the food??? In a word - fabulous. The linguine with clams was exceptional. Plenty of clams, perfect pasta and a wonderful (very garlicky) white wine sauce. Pomodoros is a winner and a keeper!
Worst experience I’ve ever had. Ordered a Salmon Salad online the day before as is available on their website. They took my money but deleted the order and denied I had made an order even though I had 2 texts and 2 emails confirming it. A friend was the one to try to pick up my order. I called the restaurant twice to rectify the situation. Both times I asked to speak to the manager. I could hear him tell the woman who answered the phone he was too busy to deal with problems. She tried to give a better spin to his not coming to the phone. I reminded her I could hear him since she was using a speaker phone. Finally they agreed to deliver my salad to me. It came 20 minutes later than the time they promised and it was chicken not salmon. They couldn’t even get the order right. My Friday night group of 10 friends had planned to use them on a regular basis. Needless to say none of us will return. They are not dependable or responsive to customer issues.
Food was good, albeit a bit pricey.Still receive 4 stars for prompt service. We ordered pick-up, and it was ready in under 20 minutes. They forgot to put our salads in the bag & I didnt check until I got home, of course. Drove back in & they had my salads ready and a complimentary piece of cheesecake. I will definitely be going back for a sit-down dinner someday.
This is the first Italian restaurant I have ever eaten/ordered from that DOES NOT supply pasta on a chicken parmigiana as a default. You have to order it as a side item if you want it! I was visiting from out of town and decided to order take out. I went to their menu on my phone and NO WHERE does it explain pasta on a chicken parm is a side you have to order! Not to mention the person who took our order over the phone didn’t even offer to explain the side items tidbit. So basically you just get a breaded chicken breast with sauce for $16! Then, if that wasn’t enough, my wife and I both ordered 2 Caesar salads each and when we got back to where we were staying, there was only one per person. I called back up there and spoke with a lady (she seemed nice and all of this wasn’t her fault but she got to receive my complaint) who looked up my order and confirmed if we wanted pasta we would have had to have ordered it as side. There was zero attempts at trying to satisfy an upset customer. Needless to say, I will be staying away from this place and will also let the owner of our Airbnb know to pass on the information to stay away from them as well.
Nice, family owned Italian spot.Consistently great pasta, pizza & salads. Always willing to accommodate a special request. Super happy hour drink deals. Well above average for the area, I expect places like this in more metropolitan areas. Not corporate or cookie- cutter. The bar is tiny, but the conversation is great if you can get a spot at happy hour. We dine or drink here at least a couple of times a week.
One star because I could not do zero! For the second or third time we ordered online (trying to be COVID conscience) and waited for at least an hour and a half. This time we called at an hour and I got put on hold for 9 minutes, hung up and called back asking for a manager. When speaking with the manager, he kept saying he didn’t know why they did not get the fax (thinking in 2020 there are better ways than facing) for the order. Meanwhile, our credit card has already received the charge. What I didn’t appreciate is the fact that if your “spillover” (3rd party online ordering) fails this many times how it becomes the customers responsibilities to come up with a solution. I appreciate that we tipped at 20% and paid a delivery fee. Pomodoros has just lost a faithful customer who will now give all business to another local business - Ivettes! Should have ordered Ivettes to begin with but thought we would try again! Can’t wait to eat our food (spit and all) that had been reordered and still not here as of 7:35 (note the time of the original order of 5:29 pm)! As a local business with obviously vocal customers, I would hope the owner will re-evaluate his situation. I plan to be extremely vocal with my neighbors and friends! I have pictures of all texts, emails and credit card charges on Yelp!
At one time, this was a charming, small town, family owned Italian restaurant with good food and good service. Now..... it lost its way. Charming is gone..... No service and tables are packed so close together that you might as well invite the others to your table because theyre going to hear your conversation anyway. And for no reason.... there is never anyone at the tables. We were weekly customers but the last two times we went, we never got waited on... No menus,No drinks... No wait staff.... nothing. We walked out both times. The only employee we saw was the bartender and she never lifted her head up. She could have at least said someone will be right with you.Dont waste your time at this place... they obviously dont care about customers anymore. We dont plan on going back.Too bad.... it was once a great place.
Terrible, never again! First time here. They said they had a full service bar. Ordered a pina colada. Our server came back and said they didnt have it. Then ordered a patron margarita. No patron either. So, I left the table for the bar to see what was available. Ordered a double rye whiskey, and the male bartender asked the female bartender if they still needed to make the margarita. She complained Who asks for specific liquors in their margaritas . It was awkward and she had a bad attitude!Pros: the pizza and our server was good. However, the Chicken Marsala was very bland, and the mashed potatoes tasted instant. My wife ate three bites. Also, the garlic bread wasnt our style, it had a fishy taste. Maybe it was an off day for this restaurant. In disbelief I tried the mashed potatoes and they were instant/dehydrated🤮
BEST FOOD AND WAITSTAFF AND CHEF EVER ! When you opened your doors, we came to help support the local, good restaurants, because we didn’t want you to go away; but, now we come because it’s the only place we trust to make our food. My husband and I are one of the people traumatized by finding weird stuff and gross stuff in our food sometimes when we eat out,But, AFTER EATING AT POMODOROS FOR OVER 10 years WE STILL LOVE IT AND HAVE NEVER HAD A SINGLE PROBLEM WITH OUR FOOD!The bartenders drinks are GREAT, and the MALIBU RUM AND DIET COKE are perfect after a long day of tending to patients, it’s PERFECT ! The waiters and waitresses are so young, and kind and helpful, it’s very nice to have such awesome, polite young people caring if I need a refill on my water, or Diet Coke. Thank you !
Just do not understand why the food at the NASA 1 location is so much better. We go to League City as a matter of convenience almost weekly even though the other location has better food, service, and attention to detail on our take out orders. League City location always leaves something out of the order. We have witnessed the manager in a cuss fight with another woman twice. I even tripped and fell over an uneven surface at the entry area, customers assisted me to my feet but neither the manager or greater bothered to help or ask if I was OK, which I was not, they just stood back and watched. I do not recommend this location.
This place is adequate, as it has plusses and minuses. On the plus side: the staff is nice and well trained. The food dishes are consistent. On the rough side: the food isnt great, and it wants to be upscale dining (at least for this area) so that attracts the older, entitled boating crowd. Really its the other patrons that turned me off the most, and thats nothing the restaurant can control. During covid time none of the guests in or around the restaurant wore masks, and it was uncomfortably close quarters in all lobbies and entrances. If this is a local restaurant to you and you want italian, this works well. Its food doesnt make it to in the rotation status, so Id say this will scratch the itch if you have it.
Absolutely will NOT recommend this restaurant to nobody..We waited long time for food and when arrived , both entrees were wrong. So we had to wait another hour for food and owners did not even offer to get discount or nothing . I had to pay full price plus waitress expected good tip..Food was cold and terrible..All they offer was a glass of wine while we waited (not free either)..They are more focuss in getting people drunk so they may consume more than theor food..Stongly not recommended!!!
The food is good, but service is slow. Ive come twice on my lunch break from work and both times I was late getting back. For Italian food it is priced fairly affordably. This time I had the shrimp carbonara, which was delicious! Id come more often if the service was a little quicker but I do enjoy that the food is fresh :)
This is our bi-weekly go to. We will be rethinking. 4 at the bar, 2 tables occupied including ours and 1 couple on patio. Appears one sitting at the bar was working on schedules and she was so very, very loud. Staff was more focused on hanging out at bar visiting. Disappointed.
Only found this place a couple of months ago and it is WONDERFUL. Great variety of salads. And thats just the beginning. Great wine list to boot. Never had a bad meal. They even did a catering for me and was fabulous. If it has capers in the sauce I just can not resist!!!Lance
We usually get pretty good food and service here. Tonight, service and food were almost up to standard, except that after advising server that my dish was missing the shrimp, there was no apology nor attempt to adjust anything. Was a special occasion, so didnt want to make a scene. Next time, I wont be so passive.
This place is always good everytime we come. The house salad and caesar salad are always fresh. I love to get the Gnocchi with Alfredo sauce. The service is always great, very friendly people who work here. We havent been back to Olive Garden after finding this place.
Pretty nice atmosphere very attentive wait staff mediocre food. I had the fettuccine alfredo with grilled chicken and it was very obvious that the chef was afraid of using spices. I expect alfredo sauce to have a nice complex character with garlic and onion and cheese but know this was well basically a cream gravy. There was no spices used on the chicken whatsoever. This was an incredibly Bland and uninspired meal. Now if they could get the recipes to match their atmosphere and their staff theyd really be onto something.
Ordered through door dash. They gave us the wrong meal but charged us for the more expensive one we ordered. We called them and was basically told to talk to Doordash. The next day we did and they are processing a refund. I was not pleased with the attitude of the person we talked to at the restaurant but it all worked out.
Pomodoros is a unique Italian venue for League City. Its a small family business that is part street cafe, part neighborhood bar, but mostly fresh real Italian food. I like the casual urban atmosphere blended with friendly hometown charm. Spaghetti and meatballs are GREAT! For healthy light, try the small chopped salad topped with grilled salmon and paired with the Monkey Bay sauvignon blanc! All at a good price👍
Best Italian food in the area! The spaghetti and meatballs are great, thick and hearty Pomodoro sauce that tastes fresh and delicious. The cannoli is homemade and with a rich and creamy filing. Pizzas here are not to be overlooked, they surely beat out any other pizza delivery in the area. The seating area is small, but they deliver which is very convenient. One of my regular spots, highly recommend!
I ordered a kids spaghetti and an order of ravioli. The person who answered the phone to take the order was friendly which was why I gave them 2 stars. Upon receiving my delivery order I handed them a $20, and was asked okay, are we good? before even being told how much my order came out to. I told him no and so he reached in his pocket and handed me a dollar and told me I was lucky because thats all he had on him. I was so taken aback, I didnt even know what to say. The food tasted like something you get from the prepackaged frozen section at a grocery store. My husband called to complain after this ordeal and they simply offered a free dessert upon our next order. Safe to say, I will never be taking them up on their free dessert offer even though its the LEAST they could do.
I had ordered my meal through the Uber Eats app. The food came in a timely manner and it was hot when it arrived. The food looked awesome, sadly it did not taste awesome. The chicken fettuccine Alfredo was nice and creamy, but the chicken lacked flavor and it honestly kind of tasted like something from the frozen food aisle. So I decided to try my side of cesar salad. When I picked up the Togo container, I could smell a foul odor coming from it. The salad looked great, so did the parmesan cheese, and the croutons too. But the cesar dressing looked interesting, it was chunky and grey. I opened the lid and thats where the smell was coming from. I decided to taste test it annnnnd Im quite sure it was rotten. Even the garlic bread was a let down. I ordered a 2 liter of coke, kind of hard to mess up a drink.....wellll they didnt include it with my order. Maybe I ordered at a bad time or something, but I dont think I will eat here again. Hopefully others have a much better experience than I did.
In the past, I found the service to be really hit or miss here. Sometimes ok, other times horrible. So much so, that it became a game with my husband & wed go just to see how bad they were. Theyd literally walk by & never look or check on you. It was actually comical how bad it could be! Lol But the service has definitely improved and the food is great, so we enjoy going here.
Love this place we go here at least once a week. Everything we have tried has been really good, Pomodoros Sauce is so good. Owners are awesome always come and greet us. The Creamy Pesto Pasta, Chicken Alfredo, Chicken Parmigana & Pizzas are really good Caesar Salad is amazing. Shout out to Madi, Andrea, Ethan, Noah & Justin they are always really make the visit extra special.
Dont know what has happened to this restaurant. In the past year we have gone there several times and all with positive feelings. Last nigh was a totally different story- very poor service. Ordered veal parmesan- received chicken- although I was charged for veal. Ordered angel hair pasta with meat sauce and received no meat sauce. Although I was with a another person--our salads and entress were delivered at different times. Will not be returning and highly recommend Ivetts.
Never again. Twice I ordered delivery for this place and twice they were 45 mins late. The second time, I just cancelled the order all together and will never bother again. Food below average only reason why I even try was because Tuscany Bistro across the street doesnt deliver. Guy on the phone tells me they put my order together with 3 other delivery orders thats why itd running late. Saving money on gas at your expense (time) is a pretty clear message they how much they care about their customers.
First time we ate in this yesterday and I I really like it. I am asian but I am a pizza lover. I really love the pizza in this place and even my husband aggree that its the freshest ingredients. Just ate my last piece take home from yesterday and its soooo good. Looking forward to go back and I highly recommend this place.

2022-07-09The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered a small pizza that far exceeded my expectations and my friend had the spaghetti. There was nobody else in the restaurant at eleven o’clock in the morning which was really nice. Our waitress stayed in the back so I had to have the hostess get her each time we needed something. She wasn’t rude but definitely inattentive. I hope the tip we left got her out of whatever funk she was experiencing. The food was very good so I will be returning. Hopefully the waitstaff will be on their game next time……..

2022-01-27Service was EXCELLENT! Whenever we walked in Jami greeted us and was so kind. Our server Trey was amazing! My drink was always full and never had to ask for more which is very rare nowadays. Also the BOMBA is honestly the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Such a great restaurant!!

2022-06-08The last couple times we ate at the League City location, the food was mediocre. Tonight we tried again. The restaurant was about 60% full. We sat at our table for 20 minutes without service. Finally walked out for the final time. So sad for what was our favorite neighborhood eatery. Poorly trained staff.

2022-05-29We were rudely ignored by young hostesses upon arrival. When she got around to talking to us, there were no welcoming words. She only asked if we had reservations. I said, I didnt know that was a thing.. She rudely replied, Its always been a thing.. I was stunned. Needless to say, we left. Ive lived in the area for over 15 years and have visited this restaurant many times without reservationsIve never been treated like that. We will not return.

2021-07-12The last 4 times Ive ordered takeout here there has been something missing from my order. Either missing a salad or silverware or something. Im done with this place. Pictured below was just over $20. Im really enjoying the 6 chunks of chicken..... I would have been better off with a 59 cent can of chef boyardee.
