Sat down at 4:50, there were 2 other tables that had customers when we arrived. I ordered spaghetti and so did both of my boys. My wife ordered eggplant rolatini. We didn’t receive our “food” until 5:40. 3 tables that arrived after us received their food and one table was leaving by the time we got ours. The spaghetti was terrible. What Italian place can’t make decent spaghetti? My wife tolerated her food. The waitress apologized for the wait to the tables all around us, but never once to us.We will not be back.
I would have rated this place 5 stars since the food is always good and the staff friendly, but our waitress didnt fill up my boyfriends drink the entire time we were there. Its a great place to eat with the whole family and very reasonably priced in my opinion. Just the drink refill is why I only rated 4 stars.
Im a pizza lover; so, Im picky when it comes to pizzas. I came here because of a picture I seen from a previous review. The pizza from the review picture reminded my husband and I of a restaurant in our home town (Little Rock, AR...Shotgun Dans). As he walked back to the car frowning in disappointment (he seen the pizza inside the restaurant), I knew I was about to be disappointed as well. Anyway, I ordered a medium double hamburger/cheese and the pizza did not meet our expectations. It just wasnt a hit. I like small hamburger meat (its more flavorful). I removed the big chunks of hamburger and basically ate a cheese pizza. Ill stick with Brooklyns, New Yorker, Trios or Mamas Pizza.
Pretty good pasta from what I had ( Chicken Parmigiano) also the chicken was cooked to perfection, I myself feel like it could have been a little better seasoned also the bread was ehh. Salads werent anything too exciting but like I said the pasta was pretty good. I would definitely go back again.
Prespas used to be one of our favorite places to eat. The last 2 times we have ordered food, it has been ok, but not up to par to the Prespas we have enjoyed in the past. The spaghetti I had was ok. The sald was just ok and when I asked my husband how his meal was (which alone was $20,) Rigatoni Arabiata with a side of shrimp, he said it was just ok....We were disappointed to say the least and this time, I dont think we will be back.
Disapointed. My husbands sauce was bland, Mine didnt taste all that great however it was somthing Ive never ordered before so it might have just been my personal taste, room was dark and gloomy and we felt rushed by waitress to put in our order. Once we got our food the waitress didnt come back to check on us, refill our drinks or see if we needed anything until it was time to hand us the check. Im not one to hunt down a waiter/waitress specifically if the restaurant is not busy. I can understand If they are busy running because of a packed restaurant but only having 4 tables occupied? Come on :( If the service was better I probably would have given 3 stars. I liked the options they had on the menu and the house bread was good. Wished the waitress came back so we could have ordered more of the bread. Unfortunately we probably wont try this place again.
Food was hot and freshly made. The sauce on the chicken lasagna lunch special tasted like canned tomato sauce, the chicken was non existent, pasta was unevenly cooked, and the to-go plasticware was from a different restaurant. Not bad for $7...?Currently a quick bite to-go place at best. However, the place has potential being left on the table.
Love Prespas and the family who runs it. Food is fresh and hot and always correct, but when a snafu last night occurred Bennie was great today when I called after I received a meal that wasnt mine last night. He made it completely right today and was friendly and gracious! That was the first misstep in all the years ordering from them. Hey, we all make mistakes!Always on point and delicious and customer friendly. :-) I highly recommend!
This is our favorite Italian Restaurant in Arlington! The food is always excellent, always served hot. Highly recommend the calzone! All the pasta and chicken dishes are terrific as well as the pizza. The owner is very nice and the service is fabulous. We usually eat here at least twice a month, if not weekly. We love Prespa’s!

Prespas is mostly decent, especially for a neighborhood italian restaurant. Their pizza is definetly better than most of the chains, with a slightly dinner crust which is reminiscent of the wood fired style. I cant say Id take them over your local Olive Garden and thats a little sad to say since Im no big fan of the chain restaurants.
Omg this place was on point!! I been in the area for a year and never tried the local restaurants near me, took my gf and daughter on a date and we were very well pleased w everything! The server was super friendly and attentive, the food was quick and super yummy! We will be back!
I like it here. Mom and pop kinda place. Owner always there. They dont serve booze but you can bring your own. Medium priced, like for 2 youre gonna spend like $30. Good food, i dont care for their stuffed mushrooms but thats me. Ive gotten all good food there. Pizzas are really good. Again not cheap but good. This is not a big restraunt so can get crowded fast. I tend to eat there at off hours.
Our first visit here, and it was yummy. I had the Chicken Jerusalem and my wife had the sausage tortellini, and both were very good. Our server (Lauren) was friendly and attentive, but didnt hover too much. We even had the flan for dessert (not exactly authentic Italian), and it was also good. Well be back!
I absolutely love this place. Its by far my favorite Italian restaurant Ive ever been to. It definitely beats any and all chain restaurants but the New York style pizza is so fabulous I can hardly contain myself. Ive never been to New York but I can only imagine that this is as close as a Texan can get without a flight. The service is fantastic and the owner Johnny really likes to get to know people. Since Ive become a regular he always greets me when he is there. He practically knows what Ill order unless I get adventurous.
A must try! Everything we have tried over the last few weeks has been Delicious!!!We have pretty much tried EVERYTHING.They never make a bad meal... all the traditional Italian favorites and all their specialities are Amazing !!! My absolute favorite Italian restaurant ...ohhhh and their pizza...OMG! SOOOOOO GOOOD !!!
It was ridiculously hot inside. Probably 80+ degrees in there. Sweating just sitting there fanning ourselves with menus. Asked the waitress politely if they could turn the AC on. She said Ill ask the manager. Few minutes later this guy walks up and stops at the other table and throws his hands up and says ay bro, you know its hot outside, were doing what we can, but ya know, its summer its gonna be hot bro and walked off. I was so shocked at the way he approached us and talked to us I just sat there stunned. So, got the food to go. Pizza was pretty good though. But Ill never go back.
Just had to leave due to an extremely rude man who was swearing up and down the restaurant while talking to the person in charge. We didnt feel comfortable staying in the restaurant as the man started getting upset with us.And before the owner tries to reply and save face, Id just like to ask you to think about the people you keep around you because that guy had some massive issues.
Had the excellent mozzarella caprese and added roasted along with the garlic bread what a fabulouscombination. The air-conditioning seem to be out or it was just really hot because it was crowded, which is a good sign that the restaurants doing okay. For simple Italian food done well at good prices this is a really great option. Ill take this place over Olive Garden anytime!
The food is great. They close at 10 pm. I, more or less, was discouraged to order when I walked in at around 9:20 pm.Granted, it WAS close to closing time. However, I just wanted something to go.I work in a field where getting off work on time is extremely rare. I understand the need to get home as soon as closing time hits. But, Ive never actively discouraged anyone just so I could go home. That happened over a year ago, and I havent gone back since.
Dont expect to get good service unless you are a super regular or an employees family or friends. We took our grand kids there for pizza which took almost an hour to come to our table. I finally had to go to the kitchen to ask for the pizza. They said it was coming right out. We waited another 15 min. before it came out. The excuse was that they had too many takeouts that needed to be out for customers within 15 to 20 min. I informed her that in house customers should be taken care of first. She said nothing and walked away. The manager was too busy with his super regulars to talk to us. My kids were so tired of waiting that they didnt even eat one piece. So if you are a nobody beware, your service will be bad, or order takeout and get it in 15 to 20 min.
This little Italian diner has been great every time Ive been there. Always friendly and their food is easily comparable to some of the larger restaurant chains. Seating and parking may be limited at times due to their location but if youre in the area and they look like theyre not too busy, Id definitely recommend it :)
Well... I have never tried this place and dont guess I will be either! I keep hearing how good it is but I have called 5 times to place an order to go and cant get anyone to answer the phone. Thats pretty basic in my opinion! How can you make money if you dont answer the flipping phone! I have been in custody service all my life and this is absolutely terrible. I mean seriously???
Always a pleasure coming here. The portions for their entrees are always large (even the lunch portion), the owner is always onsite, interacting with the guests. They have no issues taking and executing special requests for food. Can not be a better restaraunt for home style Italian food.
These guys are always on point and know how to feed the masses. No joke, they serve large groups as well as giving personal attention to lone patrons. It is not unusual for the owner to come out from the kitchen and pay respects to those that are dinning! Thank you, Johnny! You guys are Amazing!
My wife and I really love Prespas in Arlington. Their in house bread is fantastic and the calzone and pizza dough is buttery & crisp on the outside chewy on the inside and makes for phenomenal dishes. This will definitely be a place for future birthdays anniversaries and family gatherings.
You walk in and you feel as if you walked into a five-star restaurant, although it is in a small neighborhood shopping strip. Art and graffiti on the outside wall. But then you get the food... Everything is great there! Easy to get to and a well deserved five star rating from me. Absolute authentic Italian... perfect for taking a date. .
Prespas is a locally owned and one of those hidden gems you hope to find when you move to a new place. Fortunately for us, its right around the corner. The food simply takes you to another place and time. I imagine myself eating in the old country from recipes passed down through generations. Its that place. The owners are exactly the people you want to own your little hidden gem. Nice, friendly, happy youre there. You almost feel like you just came home to eat mamas famous lasagna. It starts with their homemade bread, and your dinner salad with the most amazing house dressing. (Take some extra home with you. Dip the bread in the dressing. Magnifico!) Then, you just order what makes your heart happy. Spaghetti and meatballs, one of the classic pizzas. You will never be disappointed. If you are reading this because you havent been here before and this is an option, stop looking. You found it. Now, get there and enjoy. You and your soul will thank me. Prego!
Have ate there many of times and loved it until tonight. I had a bug in my food. The manager did not even come to my table to apologize. Him coming to apologize would have made all the difference. We will never go back. Planning on calling the health inspector tomorrow.
It was ok...we definatly didnt leave there saying - cant wait to go back.Salad sucked... it was a plate of lettuce. Instead of asking if you want a salad, they should ask if you would like a plate of lettuce.Chicken parmigiana was ok...a breast of chicken with tomato sauce and cheese. Definatly nothing to write home about.Service was really good. Food was average at best. Service would get 5 star. Food.....2 star, maybe 3
I ordered a spaghetti and meatball plate to go. The girl who answered the phone was rude. When I picked up my order the girl told me my total was $8.60, I gave her $10.00 and only received $0.40 in change. I did not say anything. Then I got home and had no napkins or fork in the bag. Then I opened up my meal to find out that they use meat sauce which only had the equivalent of about one meatball in it. The portion was very small for the price and the spaghetti tasted like school cafeteria food. They also did not put any parmesan cheese on the spaghetti or in the bag. I will never go here again.
The service was horrible! I have gone a handful of times because my kids like thier pizza but this last time was the final straw! I asked to add a salad and the lady acted like I asked the world of her & the owner was in the back yelling Its my way or the highway and blurted out curse words to the point I grabbed my kids and left!! No idea who or what he was talking about but it didnt matter.. very bad customer service!
Horrible service from start to finish. I walk in and hear that record drop that happens in the movies whenever something awkward suddenly happens...anyway, the waitress/server had a horrible disposition despite my attempts at a cheerful conversation. What happened to customer service? My order comes up and I hear a Hey! from the back for me to come get my order. I forgot my juice on the counter so some older gentleman follows me and yells Yo! behind me...really? Never again. 1 star because the door worked on the way out.
There was something like a bone or a stem in my pasta dish. I reported it to the waitress who said she would let the manager know. We didnt expect any monetary compensation, but the manager didnt have the courtesy to come over and apologize for this. Although we have been recommending this place to our friends, that stops as of today.

2022-02-01Antipasto salad and cheese ravioli were so good! The homemade tomato based italian dressing is worth a taste! Will be back over and over! Service was also great, though we ordered take out. Place was packed on a Sunday afternoon.

2022-07-14What a great place! Our ladies group ate there. They were able to accommodate the 7 of us easily. Everyone ordered something different and we all were very happy with our choices. I think the medium pizza blew us all away--it was HUGE. I will definitely go there again. Oh, I almost forgot, their garlic bread is to die for. I could have made a meal of it

2022-06-04We came for a quick bite and they did not let down. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. This is with two kids. Great pizza, my daughter loved the spaghetti, my chicken Alfredo was delicious, and my husband enjoyed his chicken parmesan. Our dinners included salads which have some tasty ranch. Their bread is really good too. My kids tore into it

2022-03-10We used to go to another restaurant in fort worth to get our Italian because the environment here was just not quite comfy. The manager yelling at people probably played a part in it. Yet, for the last couple of years, it has excelled. We rarely travel to fort worth any longer. This place is now our local hidden gem. Bring your wine. Enjoy the decor. Maybe I appreciate more since going to Italy. This one feels the most familiar. Food is consistently good. It is getting busier but still nice. I would like to see the specials change occasionally, but that is the only ding. More fish options would be more Italian authentic. Yet, it so not worth a star drop.

2022-03-04The manager is always great about checking the pizza to make sure the quality is up to their standards. The one time it wasn’t he had them make me a whole new one and discounted it since I had to wait longer. Now that’s putting the customer 1st.

2021-05-05The ambiance was good, however the lighting is not helpful in reading the menu.Loved the bread and olive oil to dip it in. Tea was natural, not bitter, and required no sugar. Very well brewed tea.Pizza was our main course and once the cheese cooled off the texture and flavor of our toppings just melted in our mouths. Well cooked and presentation was cool.Zoe, our server, was great. Overall this writer gives 5 out of 5 yums! Bravo Prespas for a good experience.Copenator out!

2021-05-14This is absolutely one of our favorite Italian restaurants not only in DFW, but anywhere. This place is fantastic. The pizza is great, the spaghetti is great, the fettuccini is great, and everything we have had is great. There are two locations; one off of Sublett Rd in South Arlington, and also one off of Roosevelt in Central Arlington. Both locations are great. It is BYOB so if you are wanting to have some wine with your meal, make sure and bring your own. Also note that carry out is available. The service is always top notch and this place brings it every time.

2020-07-11Great food, awesome service, feels like home only no mess to clean up afterward. Definitely a must stop restaurant. Everything tasted great, we all had different things and tried quite a bit. Cannolis are a must, they were super good.
