Pulidos Mexican Restaurant in other cities:
Excelent customer service, they greet you and seat you, very politeful. Menu is texmex, not really mexican. I wanted three enchiladas and plate was only two, so waiter sugested substitutons, ended up not finishing the plate, it was very flavorful and... hot !.. I almost burnt my mouth !. Little bitty pricey but Very pleasant experience overall.
Food was kinda bland and came out of the kitchen like 4 minutes after we ordered, which really makes you wonder about freshness. The plate was scorching hot so it was likely microwaved. There were only two other tables seated at 8:00 on a Saturday night, which is probably all you need to know. Staff was very nice. Really wanted to like this place, but likely won’t be back to a place that microwaves it’s food.
This place used to be good and fairly priced. Went for dinner last week and got the fajita special for 10.99. when I went to pay, they told me it was over $15. When I asked, the guy said that was the lunch special and dinner is 13.99. He refused to change the price, so I wont be returning. We also asked for extra peppers instead of rice and beans and they charged us $3 for that and it was all onions. Good service, ok food, horrible prices.
This place has been here since the 70s when I moved to Cleburne. The food is really good. Good prices, great service and its fast if you need in and out while youre on lunch break. Its also very neat and clean. I seldom go anywhere that you just cant find anything negative to say about it but this would be the place. I cant think of a thing they could do to improve it.
My husband and I were staying in town one night and ask the ladies at our hotel what their suggestions were on town favorites. Pulido’s was the won we chose. Honestly I was a little skeptical of the faded sign out front. But in we went, we were immediately greeted and sat a comfy booth. our waitress came swiftly to our table laying chips and salsa and taking our drink order. I like my beer cold and I got it cold, extra perk was the frozen mug. Chips and salsa were so good we ordered extra to take home with us. The Chicken enchiladas melted in my mouth and my hubby’s chicken fajitas were delicious! Thank you for the great food and service
My daughter and I were driving by when the car broke down. We got the bad news in the parking lot that our tow truck was an hour away. Well, there were two choices, as this place shares a parking lot with another restaurant. Oh boy, did we make the right decision! All of it was great. The food, service, price, all great. Youll not be disappointed.
I walked in and then immediately walked out. I thought that this restaurant was a part of the Pulido’s brand, but as soon as I walked in, I could tell that it is not.The people who greeted us were very prompt and friendly, but the places vibe and the smell were weird. This location needs a full makeover, and I do not even want to see what the kitchen looks like. I would suggest going to the Pulido’s in Saginaw, Texas or the one on Precinct line road
I remember eating at politos every weekend when I was a kid. I recently went back there for lunch for the first time in probably 30 years, and it was very good but not the same as my childhood memories. Many choices are limited in price a little on the high side but worth checking out
Went there today for a late lunch with my husband. We were sat immediately at a table with menus. There were only about 5-6 other tables filled and plenty of waitstaff. We sat there for 20 minutes watching the waitstaff glance at us and keep walking. No one came by to take our drink order or even just to tell us that they would need a few minutes to get to us.We finally just got up and left.If this is how they want to treat customers who have been going there regularly for 20+ years,we’ll just take our business elsewhere.Update:Decided to give them another chance.Actually got service this time!Food was amazing and service was good. I’m only giving them 3 stars because, unfortunately, bad service is a recurring problem here.
Excellent customer service and even better food. Cant wait to go back. Very affordable. Good atmosphere. Loved it and so did my guest. My grandchildren love this place and cant get enough. We go every chance we get. My children would rather be here than McDonalds. We all will keep going back, no doubt.
Guacamole had too many onions not a small chopped but bigger pieces... Onions we the only thing I could taste, upset my stomach. Rice was good fluffy but needed more flavor, beans were very good. Chicken enchiladas were ok sauce needed more flavor, chicken was dry needed flavor. The chips and salsa were very good. To go order I didnt eat... Was for other family members.
I went 8 here last Thursday and it was very hectic .there was a waiting list, the line was out the door. we sat at the 1st table in front of the cash register so there was people in-and-out and in-and-out and people were upset because people sat before they did, they were there longer. it was a little chaotic not a pleasant dining experience that day
They have been closed for 4 months because of covid and recently reopened. Ive missed this restaurant. Pulidos has a great tradition of wonderful recipes and I love they have been around for so long. Its always been a favorite and the Cleburne restaurant is no exception.
Parking was full, was afraid wed have to wait for a table on a Friday night. nope we got in and were seated right away. Sergeo (I think thats how its spelled) ordered some drinks and our food... it didnt take long at all to have it delivered to our table. the drinks were a bit strong for my taste but were really good and the food was absolutely delicious. the atmosphere was relaxing and true Mexican music was playing. I had an amazing time and will go back soon.
Great food, horrible service every time I go. I shouldnt have to flag down my waitress to get a refill. I was empty when the food came out, didnt see the waitress again until she brought the check, and still had to ask for a refill. This happens every time I go here, not an isolated incident. If they would fix their service, I would rate this 5 stars, but for now, only 3 for awesome food
Called in order, Orders wrong, and sick. We ordered the enchilada plate which is actually sour cream chicken, we ended up with chili, and beef.. woke up throwing up the chili, the food apparently was just heated up, do not get the enchiladas here, and sure not the chili, it is no good at all.. if I had my choice I would not even give one star at all!! Drove 13 miles in, 13 miles back, never recommend this place, and I’m just visiting. This is not authentic Mexican food!! It’s a joke.
This is my top favorite place to eat in cleburne, and they have great salsa... Its actually a bit spicy unlike some restaurants. I always use at least 3 cups of salsa every time lol. I loooooove their cheese tacos, nachos, their everything really! If this place ever closes Id cry for 2 weeks, id be literally heart broken lol. But they have been in the same spot every since I can remember and Im 29 lol. This place was my dads favorite too, wed both drink the salsa cups theyre salsa is so yummy lol. Such good memories, everyone would look at us weird but hey, the salsa is really THAT good lol.
Great first impressions only to quickly take a nose dive down hill. Dont know if live music is frequent here, but it was a nice touch. We had a new waitress who needed more coaching, but apologetic and willing to please thoughWww she did disappear after said nose dive. Excellent regular salsa, but the requested salsa verde was watery and cold. Beer extremely cold and chips arent greasy. Quick service (7 tables full on a Saturday night) however half the order was cold (carne guisada) and sent back. Upon correction, the lettuce on the plate appeared to be wilted and rice was stuck to the plate thus the only conclusion drawn was it was microwaved. No manager or owener ever came to us at all. Wish the menu was more descriptive and less misleading ie. Chimichanga with carne guisada only to be asked if chicken or beef fajita meat was wanted. Though once finishing half of that was found to be ice cold as well. Not worth the trouble at all...

2022-04-02Awful! The service was horrible and my food was even worse. The only good thing was the guacamole. I ordered fajitas and I think it was goat meat, not beef, it was stringy and gamey. I had my friend try a bite and she agreed. My mother, husband and friend had taco, enchilada and flauta (taquito?... whatever is chicken rolled in tortilla and deep fried) and they were fine. Mine was gross because I expected (and what was said on the menu was beef) beef and was served goat. The server was sloooooow! Awful, we will never return to this location in Cleburne. So, we will definitely go elsewhere. The other locations have all been great so they must all be independently owned.

2022-06-21Was there to do some work and ended up eating there and I must say original Mexican food, not the can beans nor rice original homemade.

2021-02-21This place is TERRIBLE! My husband and i got 2 drinks and a cup of queso... it was $13!!! The waitress stuck her thumb in the queso then spilled it and said oh heres a napkin so I could clean up the huge mess she made. After dumping half of it on the table she didnt offer to bring us a new one then charged us full price. The manager did NOTHING about this. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants in town.

2022-02-12I ordered the beef taco salad with fajita instead of ground beef. The salad was very fresh, plenty of avocado and tomato, and the portion was very generous. I will definitely visit again.

2022-04-06The food and service was excellent but I can’t believe you are making your wait staff still wear those stupid masks. They don’t work so quit torturing those poor souls. The masks don’t work and never did. Corona virus was a scam. Just another name for the flu to scare all you sheeple.

2022-04-14Pulidos has been my favorite neighborhood Mexican food place for years. However, since their reopening after Covid, the quality of the food had decreased. Very disappointing.
