Ramada by Wyndham Houston Intercontinental Airport East in Humble
Very rude front desk and they failed to provide the airport shuttle as promised. They said there would be a pick-up every 20 minutes. I called when we landed and the very rude night shift lady told me not to call until we claimed our bags and were standing on the curb. I called them when at the curb and she reported it would be at least 45 minutes for the shuttle even though the hotel is only five minutes away. When I told her that wouldn’t work she hung up on me, leaving me with the choice of standing there for at least 45 minutes or paying $25 for an Uber. The room was fine, the lady in the morning was pleasant and helpful but terrible night time customer service.
Terrible check in experience but still worth it.There were 3 staff at the desk with only 1 who was able to check in guests. Oh and he went off for a 10 minute phone call. My wait time was approx. 20 mins.Albeit dated, the room was clean and beds very comfortable. The air con was also good. I didn’t eat there. Overall, I don’t mind waiting 20 mins to save $50. You get what you pay for, and I paid for 3 stars.
Don’t waste your time coming here. This hotel is the worst hotel I’ve stayed In my entire life!!! Very old and those carpets looked and smell like from 10 years ago, the carpets were greasy, disgusting. Bathroom also looked very old and disgusting. A/C was missing the vent and the air was bothering me all night. This is not a safe place for kids, the cabinets of the tv were so damaged that they couldn’t stay on its place and I hit my self two times with that f cabinet. They do have a Roku tv and that’s the only good thing they have, elevator was damaged , so if you’re coming with heavy bags, be ready to lift your stuff up, even they know elevator is not working, they continue putting people on top floors. When I was at the airport I had to wait more than 40 minutes in 3 calls in order to get a shuttle service, the front desk of this hotel is very unprofessional, rude and not friendly at all. I won’t stay here never again and I recommend you to don’t stay here for your own convenience. They don’t care about you and they are super “busy” to get your call!!! “Please stay on hold” !!!!
Stayed at this place because I had an overlay in Houston for the night. This place was absolutely disgusting. I counted 4 roaches in less than 4 hours I was there. Shower head did not work, and the beds were as hard as stone. Complete and utter rip off. I wouldn’t make my worst enemy stay at this place
Hotel and room were outdated and needed repairs. Bathroom door didnt shut, garbage was on the floor when I first checked into my bedroom, and I found a cockroach in my bathroom on my last night. Customer service was fine and location was close to restaurants and stores.
Positive: The staff were all super friendly, the convenient little store up front. The pool area was nice Negative: My room had a damp feel, smelled damp and the air conditioner was loud and made a whole lot of noise while barely keeping the room cool. It was dead bugs around and the chair in the room was extremely dirty. Cleanliness was the problem.
Coordinated a shuttle while waiting at the airport , was told that it will take 10-30 mins. Took an hour , still no shuttle.Arrived at the hotel - had several suitcases - elevator was not working. Everything in disarray. Phone rang to notify about check out , more than 1 hour before 11AM. Maid knocked on the door despite the “don’t disturb sign”.Do you need to know anything else to not stay here ?
The single worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Reserved a 2 queen bedroom and they only gave me one queen size bed in a room with no couch or anything to sleep on. There was only one ceiling light in the entire room and that was very dim. The whole room smelled of old water and the grout in the bathroom was disgusting. The bathroom light didn’t even work. We didn’t even stay the night we just left and went to a nearby Hilton.
Did not care that my family had Covid and were not allowed in to the US and that we cancelled our reservation with time to avoid them an inconvinience. Didnt wat to give us credit or refund, not even partial... We even sent them our tpositive ests, still didnt care. Too bad, all other travel companies were helpful, friendly and sympathetic with our sickness, all except this Ramada. Too bad...
I needed an unexpected overnight near IAH as a result of bad weather so I redeemed points for a quick night. I knew going into it that this was not going to be anything fancy, but definitely underwhelmed big time by this hotel. It is very dated and tired, the restaurant is not operational on the weekdays, the breakfast was literally a capri sun and granola bar, and the mattress feels like it’s been there since the 70s. Is it fine if you need a place to rest for a couple hours, sure? Would I stay here again in a similar situation? Nope.
I stayed there because Wingate by Wyndham gave my one bedroom to someone else despite me having a reservation for one bedroom. Priceline/booking.com assisted me in finding a hotel with 3 stars that matched the Wingate. By the time I checked in, it was midnight, and the room total went up to $125 from $78 a few minutes prior midnight. I must say that, Ramada by Wyndham isn’t a three nor two stars hotel! The wall were dirty and what appeared to be the water line was above the main bed. The metal tube had corrosion all over and very unsafe to be above the bed and head of whoever sleeps on the bed (see pics).Online it said breakfast included! But, in reality, they just give you a small bag with granola bar and a fruit (apple). If that’s considered breakfast, I would not want to find out what’s for lunch or dinner.Stay away from this place and if you stay, make sure the price isn’t above $72.You’ll thank me later.
Very rude employees. They will not let you get into the airport shuttle even if theres space and no other stops to the airport after the hotel. Just because you did not registered more than 30mins before....the shuttle was empty. Also the night receptionist is very rude and it is only focus on charging for everything
I will never stay here again. We arrived 9 pm, called for the shuttle but the very rude front desk girl didn’t say they shuttle doesn’t say Ramada. It was a different name. So got on wrong shuttle had to Uber to the right Ramada. Then when we get there the same very rude girl Was too busy talking on her phone to check us in. Even though she could see us standing right in front of her. Can’t believe someone like that works in customer service. I’ve never encountered someone so unprofessional, if you don’t like your job find a new one
Positive: I honestly can¿t think of one thing I liked about this hotel Negative: It had caution tape wrapped around and hanging from the pillars it was a huge cockroach in the hallway felt like heat was on in the elevator we were given a dirty room the second one wasn¿t much better but we made the best of it Ramada please do better
Terrible! I had a late checkout and was constantly bothered my housekeeping and front desk calling telling me to leave when I paid 52 for late checkout. I had to work a overnight flight and just wanted rest they said that I havent paid for any late checkout so had to show the reciept. Ridiculous I finally went down and got a refund for the 52 and left. Will never stay here agian. The manager I believe his name was Antonio did not apologize at all. He was very rude, however the front desk attendants were very friendly.
I did not like this hotel it was very quiet the hallways were scary it’s dirty needs to be power washed while I was going to the pool there was a lady and a man screaming the lady was screaming & I felt like she was getting abused check up on people. Theres also small beds barley any space, no breakfast or nothing.
Its just ok. Ordered shuttle at airport and it never came. Appenrently they contract it out. Was seating at the airport for 2 hrs and told its coming but it never did, finally took uber. I might be done with the Ramada brand, the one in college park Atlanta should be shut down, this one is ok but they seem all not want to spend money to keep the service and environment up, just doing the very minimum.
Positive: It was nice in the inside some of the staff was nice Negative: Mold stayed in my room for three days before they came to spray it and wipe with bleach also the manager took $20 out my $100 deposit because he said it was a stain on the sheet when that¿s not even a rule both managers was rude
Positive: Room was comfortably large. Negative: Outside of hotel very dirty. Cig butts all over the place. TV not working when checked in. Kept telling us they would come fix it but never called back and never came until next day when I spoke to manager. Stated restaurant open, but most of time not
The tub had hair in it, the pool was freezing cold. I tried to speak to the General Manager Antonio Chamorro but he refused to come out the office to discuss a refund. So I went outside to wait for him I waited over 30 minutes. I come back he’s gone when he knew I was waiting on him. Ok very uncaring. So I called to discuss the refund over the phone due to him leaving after he knew I was waiting on him. He got on the phone and immediately said I’m not giving you a refund even after I didn’t stay. I wanted to switch my day at least even if a refund wasn’t allowed. He did absolutely nothing to help me . He hung in my face and threatened to call the cops on me over the phone. I can’t believe I patronized this business. I’m a black woman and he even forwarded my call to the 911 operator. He was sooo disrespectful, rude and showed no concern about my needs as s Manager dealing with customer service. He was a white man and I’m a black woman he would’ve never threatened a white woman with the cops. BLACK PEOPLE BEWARE WE ARE NOT WELCOMED HERE!! I need corporate to reach out immediately this is utterly unacceptable
Positive: There was one staff member who was friendly I asked her questions about places to go around Texas because I¿m from Cleveland and I don¿t know anyone here Negative: There was mold in my shower it stayed there for three days even though I told them three days prior the manager sent a lady with a bleach bottle to come wipe the mold off didn¿t accommodate us in any way not only that there was nets in my room
First of all when I checked in the young lady receptionist was soooooo nice ..went to my room there was hair in the bathroom shower.... the vent didnt work ... I lay on the bed and in 3 minutes or so i got bitten all over my leg was bumps so I put towel and slept on top of the sheets.. the following morning i called downstairs for milk and sugar was told by the Male receptionist that its at the front desk if i want..there was no going the extra mile...went out shopping came back with my luggages and went to my room only to find I cannot go in card was deactivated!!! So I ask one cleaning lady supervisor the Philippines girl if I have to walk all the way back to the front desk she said yes.... besides all that not a bad accommodation for the price paid but quality service and cleanliness can be improved.
Run down. No A/C in the lobby when I arrived. The parking lot is tight. It looks like a cheap motel from the outside. The carpet in the room was dirty and rather nasty. The furniture in the room was in need of replacement not repair. The A/C in the room worked but couldnt get the room very cold. My wife found the bed to be comfortable.
Avoid this place and stay anywhere else. Wifi doesnt work in the rooms. Free Breakfast is a single nutrigrain bar and a water. Rooms are outdated and ugly. Doors barely shut on hotel room. Front desk staff dissapears for an hour after 7 pm at random. You get better at a motel 6.
Honestly, for the price this is 5 stars! Front desk ladies were super accommodating and very helpful with suggesting on where we should go eat! I’m from New Jersey and I’ve never had southern hospitality like this. Free shuttle to and from the airport included in the price as well makes this a steal. Rooms aren’t bad and the hotel is pretty nice!
Stayed one evening for convenient airport proximity. Check in was fine. The chair in the room had a perfectly placed suspicious stain which was pretty gross. Curtains had weird stains. And then, in the morning, we had an uninvited guest sitting on the coffee maker watching us pack to leave. Hope we didnt take its family home with us. Yes I have pictures. Oh and there was litter in the hallway as we headed out. So yeah, wont stay there again.
Positive: Has snacks and beverages (including alcohol) for sale. The price is pretty high, but there is no restaurants around the hotel. Negative: Outdated, not very clean, had to wait almost an hour for the shuttle at the airport though it is just approximately 5 minutes of driving.
My stay here was great! Even with the restaurant and bar being closed there was still a decent selection of drinks in the cooler. The decor was beautiful ❤️ The hotel shuttle took a bunch of the stress away while staying there in addition to the wonderful staff. The room was clean, the water pressure was a bit odd, and the rooms air-conditioning unit was really loud. Otherwise it was a great stay.
This hotel says they have breakfast. They do not have breakfast or even a restaurant. If youre lucky there might be some coffee in the morning. They charged my sisters card for the rooms and they charged my card for the rooms as well. They said my card would be for incidentals. They charged my card for the rooms a day after we checked out. Of course this caused my bank card to be overdrawn. And Ive been charged a $35 overdraft fee. They told me that the bank should resend the fee once they correct their billing error. They did not offer to pay the fee. This is an older Ramada that at one point in the past was a nice hotel. Now its run by people that are squeezing every penny out of their customers that they can. If you stay here and you dont pay attention to your daily charges on the cards you use they will overcharge you and get away with it. Im sure this happens to most of their guests. In summation, i would steer clear of the Ramada on Will Clayton parkway near IAH Airport in Houston. Theyre looking to take whatever youll allow them to from your card. Considering all the good hotels there are available I would just steer clear of Ramada Wyndham in general.
All myself and company wanted was to sit outside, enjoy the sunshine and read a book. There was an obnoxious party going on in the pool area, mostly adults, playing obscenely loud music. After listening to it for 1.5 hours, I complained to the hotel staff. He said he would take care of it. He walked to the window, looked outside, but never confronted the other guests. Another 45 minutes went by, we went back to the desk and complained again. He told us there was nothing he could do, as they have the right to listen to music. You could hear the music from inside. He said he would ask them to turn it down. We finally went to our room, as it was far from enjoyable! It wasnt until 830 when one of my company went down to get a coffee, he was FINALLY talking to them. By then, it was already dark outside. Very unsatisfied!During check out, there was a male in the lobby, clearly having computer issues and the other person, a woman was talking to a guest. It was clearly a personal conversation by what they were talking about. I waited 5 minutes, just standing there, before she even acknowledged I was even there. She never asked how my stay was, and she conversing with the other staff. Your people clearly need to learn some customer service! I work in retail, and the customer is always first! At your property, that is clearly not the case!
Positive: I didn¿t use these facilities, but there was a gym and a large pool available. Only needed some place to sleep after a long night of flight delays. Did the trick for that purpose, but wouldn¿t normally choose this hotel for a vacation. Negative: Looks like it hasn¿t been updated since the 80¿s. Doesn¿t feel dirty, just old. The bed wasn¿t very comfortable and the tv didn¿t work. When I called the front office, I was told to unplug it and plug it back and they didn¿t know if that
Positive: hotel employee checked me in and was amazing I was in town delivering Akc Boston Terriers and I had to stay overnight and when I got there I did not know they dont take venmo or paypal or netspend yo cover $35 insedentals but she Called management & Negative: Shuttle is not running because of covid and it cost $20 each way to airport
Positive: Location was ideal for my needs as I was meeting with people at the IAH airport vacility. Negative: I was given a room with 2 queen size beds rather than the king size bed I requested. The TV was stuck on a single channel and hotel staff was unable to fix the problem.
**Update #2. I talked to the front desk and i was moved rooms hassle free. New room is much better. I received ZERO attitude from the front desk.NOT A 3 STAR HOTEL.This place is an absolute dump! Its not what you think it is. It looks like it was abandon for 10 years. The room is so humid and musty i dont understand how it passes any inspections.None of the outside door card readers work so you have to walk in through the lobby. There is plenty of parking and its free. The bed feels like card board, and makes springy noises. This is a 1 star hotel.Staff is nice and helpful.**Update #1. Its so humid in the room that the carpet is soaked. I noticed this while walking around in my socks. The bed sheets are also damp from humidity.
I used the airport shuttle parking offer. The front desk acted like I was a bother when asking where was the shuttle. Waited 30minutes, to have the shuttle just drive off. I ask the front desk why did the shuttle leave, front desk told me the driver was making a uturn. Waited 10 more minutes to have the front desk tell me to Uber. I dont understand why they have a service and treat customer so poorly. Never again.
Me and my family came to this hotel back in 2017 and we loved it ,so when we decided to come back to Houston we wanted to stay here again which was a big big mistake this hotel is not taken care of !! As soon as we checked in to our room we noticed that the room was dark and people in the hotel was smoking weed and on top of that the ac was not working at all so we asked to be moved to another room which they did and ended up being even worse my little girl found roaches and the curtains didn’t even close and the ac was even worse and that night we were dying of the heat ! So once again we got moved to another room which was alittle bit better but once again the ac didn’t work and it was so hot .. we will not stay here again ever !!! Also at night the parking lot is really dark and need to careful. They could’ve refunded our money for the stay but the guy that was working the front desk didn’t care to here us out !!!!
I dont write negative reviews. That said 8 things went wrong.1 first shuttle from airport to the hotel was too full for us. Even though we phoned ourselves to be picked up.2 Waiting in line for over 30 minutes to check in3 The shuttle time we needed to catch our flight in the morning was already full, had to book a later shuttle. Hope we dont miss our flight!!!4Checked into our room, it smelled overwhelmingly musty5 Ate at their restaurant, was greeted by the bartender who said its going to be a while6Ate at the restaurant even though they dont have anything gluten free. Stomach ache (we got in late, didnt want to go far to eat)7 Ordered something with no cheese....it came with cheese8 Bartended tipped himself an extra amount that we didnt approve. I was going to tip 18%, which I think is more than fair considering the things that have gone wrong. But he put on his selective hearing and gave me not the right amount of change back, so he gave himself a 31% tip.
Well weve been traveling around the country and staying in low rates hotels, and finally we found a place that accommodate our needs..Nice pool area, our kids really enjoyed it.. the beds were nice, comfortable and clean. Cleaning service really respectful and efficient..Dont have any bad review and the price perfect for our budget..The lobby very confortable. Nice place.
Horrible, waited 2 hours for a clean room then was given 3 dirty rooms, one with black mold. Rooms and lobby stunk of mildew. Staff members complained about one another and noone could seem to get on the same page. They didnt have concern for any of their customers and dirty cups sat all over for several hours before being picked up. Door didnt shut by itself and the furniture looked like it was picked up for $1 at a garage sale, all scratched, broken and wobbly. Dont stay here.
Booked the Ramada by Wyndham Houston Intercontinental Airport East for May 13, 2021 to May 15, 202. When we checked in it was late and we checked right back out. The room had a musty smell and there was a bug on one of the beds. The lady at the front desk offered to give us a new room but after waiting at the front to desk to resolve this issue, another guest complained that he left his rental car in the lot for a couple hours and it got keyed pretty badly. We definitely did not want to stay. The lady at the front desk said she was not able to refund me but to come in or call in the morning when a manager was on duty, which I did. When I called someone at the front desk said manager hasnt come in yet, apparently they do not know when management comes in which is different from what the other employee mentioned. She told me to leave my info with her and she would have someone call me back which I never received a call. After 2 weeks of not hearing back I decided to call again and got an assistant manager on the phone. He forwarded me to customer service which they were no help and refused to refund me. Offered me points which arent worth much and I would never want to stay at any of these Ramada hotels or anything under Wyndham after this experience. Id give this a 0 out of 5 rating. Beyond terrible, extremely dirty, poor customer service, useless staff, and bad location.
As described 3 star hotel that is very close to IAH. Cleanliness is high priority from outside, pool, exercise room, inside areas, including rooms.Staff available 24 hours, always to assist guests. Very quiet location.Direct TV main provider, limited channels, NO sports like ESPN, unless on main network channels. Bed is highly comfortable, again, very clean. At this time, bagged to go breakfast, bottle water, juice, and energy bar. Thurs thru Sunday evening, dinner only. Restaurants, fast food close by, eat inside, takeout or delivery available.
Bathroom in hotel room was a disaster. Tap had a thin line of stream coming. The knob thr get shower stared was broken. The curtains were hanging off the rod on on side. The worst of all was the sofa chair that was literally the color of dirt. It was filthy. Only good thing was the bed.
Positive: The staff was really helpful and professional at all times. Negative: I wish they was not smoking ¿¿ right outside of door ¿¿ when you walk out . I couldn¿t hardly breathe from all of the smoke. That had air conditioning problems. It was really hot ¿¿ inside building, but room was nice and cool.
Ok my room was disgusting, and i usually am not very picky, there was still someone elses clothes behind the chairs, the carpet in the rooms are super stained up,the ceiling is falling down, not kidding, my room didnt even have a shower curtain! The office is nice and clean but the rooms are filthy!
A totally mediocre, slightly scuzzy airport hotel. Gets the job done if youre stranded in the airport. However, I had a bizarre and somewhat scary encounter with the man at the front desk. I suggested that it might make more sense to stock menstrual products in the rooms, rather than selling them by the front desk for $2 a pop. His response was to get big and angry and yell at me that packing these items was my responsibility. He shood me away the next morning at checkout by pretending my shuttle was here early.I wouldnt recommend this hotel to any menstruating people or women who are traveling alone.
I would not come here again. They weren’t able to provide a bassinet for our baby, there were no complimentary water bottles in the bedroom when we came, and the breakfast was pitiful- a lunch bag with a Capri Sun and apple sauce. They could certainly improve their customer service here.
Positive: Location, Pillows Negative: Staff, They are rude, not helping on issues related with check out. Lack of knowledge. Not helping even by phone, always saying to call after half an hour, and repeat the same sentence when you call them back. Hotel has a weird smell.
Dirty, dingy room. Careless service. I called the front desk during my stay to extend by 1 night. They told me it was fine if I came down in the morning and paid for the extra night. When I came down in the morning they said it was no longer available and that I had to leave.
We were very disappointed in this hotel. What is pictured and what you receive could be an actual meme. The reception area is nice, bright, and clean but once we entered the hall to go to our room is was all downhill from there. The smell in the hallways hits as soon you open the door. It is a strong stench of mildew. Then as you walk past the room the smell of marijuana hits you from the front of the hall to the end. We were traveling with our kids so not a fan. I can’t believe the hotel staff did not walk the halls. The room was cleanish (random stains) but in need of repair with chipped drywall. The beds did not have bedbugs protectors and we did see two roaches in the room during our stay. We were in town for sports so slept and went on our way. I didn’t see any of the other amenities and wouldn’t bother with the restaurant after seeing the bugs. Disappointed and can’t wrap my mind around where people leaving positive reviews stayed.
I’d be hard pressed to ever stay at this hotel ever again. The night manager was the only thing that came close to being worthwhile. The room was dated with a worn out mattress, and small old feather pillows. Housekeeping is lacking and the “breakfast” was a bagged snack made up of a bottled water, a cup of jello orange slices, a strawberry kiwi Capri sun and a peanut bar. There was an over priced snack bar available as the nearest open restaurant is over a mile away.
So, it is what it is - a cheap hotel near the airport and you get what you pay for. Although the room was decent, the service at the front desk both checking in and checking out was just horrible. Very surprising for major chains like Ramada and Wyndham that the staff at this location was not trained better. They werent busy, so there was no excuse for lack of service and unprofessionalism. As stated before, the room was decent. Fairly spacious and comfortable with standard amenities that were all just want we needed. It all seemed clean and tidy, but the bathroom could use a little upgrade or refresh. Only problem in the room was the room safe did not work. The hotel does offer a free shuttle to and from the airport, but does not run on a convenient schedule and seemed very slow. You are better off just paying for a Uber which wasnt very expensive anyways. If I had to stay there again because I had no other options, I would, but I can not recommend this place nor would go back if I had a choice.
Great staffI chose this hotel die to the fact that it was near the airport. The shuttle driver and front desk staff were great. The room was adequate, a hotel room is a hotel room. The best part was that for the first time in a lot of hotels, there was plenty of HOT water!! Most hotels seem to have never enough hot water!!. The only complaint I have is that the room had a slight smell of urine. But otherwise everything was fine
Positive: The location was close to the highway. Negative: People leaving outside door open for others to come inside. Cleaners never stop by to empty out trashcans or change sheets. Stated breakfast provided but only given applesauce and water in each bag. Smelled like smoke but room states non-smoking.
Amazing experience, I asked the girl at the front desk to provide me with a good quiet room. She gave me what I wanted, super organized and clean room.Air-conditioning is a little bit noisy, but all hotels like that because they forgot it open 24/7 and get old quickly .I love quietness so I can sleep properlyAlso elevator was excellent because of I had many bags, very close to the airport, they provide free shuttle and free breakfast bag .not bad
After missing our flight and losing luggage, the lady at the front desk had a line a mile long and was super nice! She maintained her professional composure dealing with rude people in the hotel AND on the phone at the same time.We didnt have a reservation and she got us in quickly. We are so thankful for her helping us! This was on Saturday night on 11JAN20.The hotel has a perfect location close to the airport, a prompt shuttle service, and the rooms were big, cozy, and clean! Would highly recommend!
I am giving it one star since zero isnt an option. I used the parking (and shuttle). The shuttle service is rather imaginary. More chances to win a lottery than using the said 24x7 shuttle service at every 30 mins BS. I missed the shuttle on way to airport by 10 mins, and the hotel told me the shuttle is private, so they cant do if the shuttle leaves earlier than scheduled. One the way back to the parking lot, I called them at 11:20 pm, 11:40 pm and 12:00 am. I got to know the shuttle left for the airport at 11:30 pm. Its a mile away, and this shuttle didnt show up till 12:10 am. Finally I booked an Uber to the parking lot to find the shuttle resting right next to my car. Just to add, they will also ask to contact them the day of your flight and schedule shuttle in advance. And they will never pick it up for the scheduling. From my experience, I would say go for ecopark or fastpark, I saw 2-3 shuttles from them in the 50 minutes I spent waiting. They will all add up to the same in the end (Uber trips are a must for this one).
I cant even rate this hotel. I used priceline for a package deal and this hotel was suppose to be nice and clean. I promise it isnt and the front desk was nasty and rude. This place should be shut down. It smelled bad and want clean by no means. There was mold on the curtains and something was split all down the wall and it wasnt from me
Just an FYI for anyone who books through Orbitz- my travel plans were cancelled and the hotel wasnt willing to refund the room, not even if the room ended up selling that night. So Im eating the hotel cost and leaving this review as a warning. Lesson learned to not book through Orbitz, but the hotel was very comfortable telling me there was no solution and theyd keep my money.
Excellent location close to the airport. Staff is somewhat helpful, some are very friendly and others I think got them in a bad timing. The early staff were extremely attentive and they really went above and beyond! The room somewhat was looked dated and needed a refurbished. Plus the color palette that they were using was extremely tacky and didn’t have a homey feel. But with some touches here and there and better color choices it would be an appealing locale.
Very nice entry way and common areas. Makes you feel like youre in a five star hotel. Then you get into the room. The mattress sinks in and has no support, bathroom plumbing leaked like a pay by the hour motel, air conditioner is loud enough to keep you awake at night, and we found half eaten food under our bed. Their apology for that was a free bottle of water..... Thanks for that.
It was okay... Could be better. If you check in before your check in time at the hotel, they will charge you a fee. The hotel offer free pickup at the airport, just remember to call them beforehand to arrange a pickup. The staffs at the front desk are nice. The room has double queen-sized beds. The free WiFi is so-so. It disconnected from time to time. No hair shampoo & hair brush in the bathroom, so bring your own. Only free breakfast.
Booked a room through Hotels.com evacuating from Louisiana due to Hurricane Laura. We when through 2 days of no power no cell phone service and extreme heat before finally heading to Humble Texas. We arrived at the hotel around 11:00 pm August 29th as soon as we opened our room door we seen the roaches and walked right back out bags werent even unpacked from the car. I will give the staff credit they were easy to work with and gave us no problems checking out before we even stayed 5 minutes in the room. Hotels.com refunded all of our money back about 360$ because I had planned on staying more than one night.I cant speak on anything else about the hotel because I didnt get a chance to experience anything else. Once we opened the room door and seen roaches we were outta there!!!
Staff is extremely helpful. They were extremely nice. Made me feel good. Cozy place to stay. Only reason for me not to give 5 stars is most of the appliances in my room (133) were rusted. Lamps, tables and especially the hangers. The rusted hangers ruined my shirt which is as suppose to wear for the interview. But that will not stop me from coming here. I will be back again.
Hotel was okay. Stayed here because United screwed up some flights and this was one of a couple options. The staff was helpful, accommodating and friendly. The restaurant closes at 11. There is a bar upstairs, so thats a plus. The rooms felt dingy and outdated. It didnt feel overly clean. The chair in my room had stains that have probably been there for years.Overall, it was okay. Its convenient to the airport, has a shuttle service and is relatively well priced. Theres also a snacks pantry if you need something after 11 when the restaurant is closed.
DO NOT STAY HERE.We were put here my our airline due to a weather diversion out of Dallas. It took the front desk agent almost 2 hours to process the airline voucher, it was specifically for two nights and two days. Perfect. The room had much to be desired, the bed was terrible but had basic amenities with a nice damp ambiance.During the second day, my family and I went out to explore the city and upon our arrival, the first room was not cleaned in anyway and the second room (my room) was cleaned but all my stuff had been removed. They had only booked us for one night! My toiletries had been discard and my other stuff taken to the lobby.Upon inquiry at the lobby they had my stuff but were confused as to why it happened, they had only booked us in for one night. We had to confirm multiple times it was two nights and to verify the voucher. They could not find any record in their system of us staying there.Around 915pm I received a call to my room to confirm that we were in both rooms (both were confirmed) and everyhting was correct. Easy right? At about 1:30am unsuspecting guests were given keys to the first room and told they could go. My parents woke up to strangers walking into their room and turning the lights on at 1:30 in the morning a potentially very dangerous and disturbing situation. We received some mild apologies the following morning but had to check out to catch our flight. The silver lining to this cloud is the staff at the restaurant was great and welcoming and dinner was great along with beer service at the bar.I will be avoiding Ramada hotels based on this experience.
Beautiful and high quality hotel. Nice customer services. Free above average breakfast is included. As for the room itself, it is reasonably maintained with nice set of supplies. Two of the lamps are not operational though, and I am still waiting for Maintenance is address the issue.
It was really awesome. There had been an inconvenience in the room due to previous guests but the hotel quickly helped solve the issue and moved up to a suite with extra room. The drinks at the bar were amazing and the complimentary breakfast never failed. They have a gym and a pool but the pool was being cleaned so we couldnt swim, sadly. Maybe next time!
Do not book a day room here! I called ahead two days prior to book a day room as we were arriving early, but departing on our connecting flight late in the day. I described exactly what time we would be arriving and was told “no problem”. I was told there would be a small fee, but was assured an early check in was fine. When arriving to the hotel we were told a room was not available and we may have to wait hours until one opens up! I described my earlier phone call and was told the hotel NEVER reserves rooms for early check in and that they are only available if there is an open room. This was never conveyed to me on the phone, even after I asked that specific question. Now I am in the lobby with approximately 10 other guests who are all in the same boat. I’ll be paying for a full night to maybe see two hours in the room. Also, be weary of their predatory rates; this hotel offers rock bottom prices with a $100 “resort fee” as an additional fee. Trust me, I’ve had plenty of time to walk around, this is no resort.
Great people and atmosphere. Check in was fast and easy. Receptionist were amazing and professional. Breakfast was ok only downfall was there wasnt enough hot breakfast choices but still had a good amount of other options available. Rooms were clean and spacious. Microwave and fridge were available in each room which was a plus. Great stay overall.
The staff was very nice. The hotel is very close to the airport as well as several parking places for the airport. It is ok if you just need a place to sleep for one night to get to your flight in the morning. The place seems pretty old and the rooms are quite outdated. I wouldnt use it for anything more than a single night to get to the airport in the morning.
All a little bit tatty really, our room had a very musty smell to it, carpet looked a bit grimy, bathroom was just yuk. Service in the restaurant was painfully slow as only one person serving. Breakfast finished at 9am which was very early, we arrived at 9.05am and it was all cleared away. The shuttle driver was lovely but receptionist left a lot to be desired in the way of people skills. All in all felt like I needed a shower once we left and wanted to boil all our clothes. Not a great experience and would not stay there again.
It was frustrating to talk to the front desk. Weve booked our room through phone calls (which turned out to be an outsourced service) and got hung up several times. When we finally arrived at the hotel and complained about the phone call experience we had, the front desk acted like it had nothing to do with them and put up faces. It was a really awful and frustrating experience. Definitely not recommended.
I have stayed at this hotel twice. My first experience was GREAT. Clean/updated room, efficient shuttle, and great help at check in/check out. My second experience I was a little disappointed. I walked into a room that didnt look like it had been updated (which wasnt the problem.) My problem was the SMELL when I walked in. It honestly smelt like urine, and it was really musty. I tried to lay down and get comfy but absolutely could not stand the smell. I called the front desk to ask if they had another room. I was told the hotel was all booked and that was the smell of their air fresheners in all the rooms. I informed the clerk I had stayed there previously and my room did NOT smell like this. After I said this, he told me to come to the front desk and would get me a new room. When I got to the front desk, he was very condescending and told me to go smell the new room before booking me a new one, because he wasnt going to do this for me again. I assured him anything would smell better than the room I was in. I hardly ever complain about hotel rooms, but I couldnt handle this one. I did end up getting a great new room and wouldnt have felt compelled to leave a review if the clerk up front had not been so rude and lied to me. Other than that, my stay was great. Airport shuttle service is so nice here!
The bartender is super sweet, the Texas burger was great but the room was pathetic. First of all it smelled like perfume and cigarettes; with no window to open to air it out. The toilet leaked all over and my husband woke up to having his feet soaked with toilet water. It smelled so bad I couldn’t even brush my teeth in there and I was gagging. Then we go downstairs to an incompetent employee who wouldn’t not accept our hotel vouchers that we got from united airline after they screwed up our flights. The nice bartender took our dinner ones but we were denied breakfast and then ended up spending four times the amount for breakfast because of it.
Terrible Terrible Terrible. Carpet in room is disgusting. Whole place smells. Air conditioner is too loud to watch television. I understand that breakfast is closed due to COVID, but the rest of the place is a musty dump. Its close to the airport and parking, which is great. But be prepared to feel dirty when you leave the hotel.
My daughter and son-in-law stayed overnight at this hotel. This started off all wrong from the beginning they were told they were currently all booked and only had for rooms $99 and up. I checked their website thats not what was advertised. But they accepted the price because the hotel looked nice. They asked to leave $100 deposit for damages. When they checked out the clerk had someone go check their room before they could leave. The front desk lady stated to my daughter Im going to have to charge you for make-up stains on the sheets. Thats the most outrageous thing I have ever heard. I think they took advantage of them because they were young because only God knows what they find on those sheets. Its hotel job to clean them. The sheets was not ripped or damaged so why should she pay. Beware at this hotel they charge you for everything. I have stayed some of the best hotels all over the world and never experienced this type of treatment.
Ramada Price with Motel 8 service!!Super poor and frustrated experience! I have never been a hotel where I needed to spend more than 15 minutes on queue for reset room key every night (we stay here for 4 nights) when we back to hotel! The room is small and old. Housekeeping is terrible. On the first night, they had even not changed used towels in bathroom and cleaned the trash! Starting from second night, we left all used towels in sink before we left in the morning.I will never come back again!!!
Two nights stay...front desk staff was condescending and horribly rude for some reason, no shower curtain and dont expect to use their wifi...i couldnt get any of my work done unless i went to the lobby (mask required of course), called to make sure the pool was open and it was...until we checked in and saw 3 german cockroaches the second night. Stay at this overpriced hotel if you dare, but be warned
If I could give zero I would. This hotel is the worst. Its old even with the renovations. The customer service lacks, the food is mediocre at best. I would call it the Spirit of hotels. Definitely go there if you dont mind hidden fees and being nicked and dimed. Talk about low budget. They definitely do not deserve to carry the Wyndham name. The General manager of the property definitely needs an attitude adjustment and customer service training refresher course as he does not know how to properly speak to people.
We only started 1 night. Surprisingly nice inside lobby. Received a coupon for the restaurant onsite which was helpful. The food was very good. The rooms smelled musty, damp but after getting the ac on a good temp it was ok. We were able to get adjoining rooms as we have several young children. That was super helpful. The breakfast was a nice selection, worth the extra$5 but the OJ was very dark in color and didnt taste like pure OJ. The staff were kind and helpful. Id stay again.
Enjoyed my overnight stay. My room was clean and the clerk, Micheal was very nice. My shuttle to the airport was on time, but the breakfast was not good at all. I would stay again, plus it was inexpensive. There was a additional deposit of $100 for incidentals, so dont put makeup on their towels or beds, dont take their belongings, dont smoke, nor bring pets. The clerk also said that next time when I search the third party hotels sites, I can call the hotel to ask if I can get a room for the same price that I see on this sites, that way you can cancel without charges and dont have to pay a deposit. Thats with any hotel.
The pictures are WAY better than the place itself. At night, it is very dark and there are alot of dead end driveways. Our floor was sticky and the toilet rocked. The microwave sounded like it wanted to explode. The hotel featured a swimming pool, but was still closed for the winter season, even though it is technically spring and 80 degrees out. Spend the extra money and get a better hotel.
The hotel is older. The lobby, bar, and restaurant have had some remodeling and look decent. The rooms, however, have had minimal remodeling done. The two rooms I booked were humid and musty. The showers had low water pressure. The mattresses were also lumpy. However, the rooms were clean. Furthermore, the waiter at the restaurant was quite friendly. The food there was pretty good, but a little expensive. All in all, I would stay there again as the value for the price was reasonable.
The location is right near the airport, so its very convenient if you are traveling. But, its an older hotel and needs a little spruce up. Could also use a good pool cleaning. But the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Bedding was nice and clean. Room smelled a little old, but thats normal in these older hotels. Food and drinks are ok. You are probably better off ordering from a nearby restaurant but its still edible. Good room for the price. 😊😊😊
There was a 15 minute line to check in at 12.30 am. The room numbers dont correspond to the floor i.e. room 300 is on the second floor so that was a bit confusing. Once I arrived at my room I found that the door was open and one of the beds was unmade. I went back to the check in where I spent another 15 minutes waiting in like to talk to someone at the front desk and request another new room. Overall the building is old and and the rooms are dimly lit. My room was missing the filter curtain which meant that if I opened the curtains to let in more day light the adjacent parking light had a wonderful and unobstructed view of my room.
It was amazing. I had a HORRIFIC day and night with United Airway and if it wasnt for Ramada Employees I would have had a complete meltdown. They went WAY out of their way to accommodate ME at 1am (its a long story). The lobby was gorgeous, the room was definitely clean and fresh. Thank you so much for calming me down and for gentle loving service.
The staff is one of the most ill informed, and rude customer service that I have ever stayed at. The cleaning staff just stand around and are aloof to the surroundings or people.. stand in the middle of the hallway and do not attempt to interact with the guest. The amenities are sub par at best the pool area is never clean the lounge chairs are filled with dirty towels for days at a time and never picked up, there where bottles left for days. The security doors do not work. When I spoke to the staff about them they told me just pull and the doors will open. I will never stay at a Ramada or any of there affiliates again.
Just stayed here 1 night before departing at IAH. The room was adequate for my purposes. Not as nice as I expected from Ramada but not bad. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant was convenient, not too expensive and the food was pretty good.I booked the room online and one of the things that made me go with it is that they said Free Parking and Free Airport Shuttle. Well the shuttle was free and that part went smoothly, but when I asked to confirm the free parking I was told that it was only free the for the time you actually stayed at the hotel and there was a charge to park while you were on your trip. Now I dont blame them for charging to park there, and it was just $5 a day, which is reasonable, but they shouldnt advertise free parking online then say theyre going to charge for it. Its just deceiving. I never heard of paying to park at a hotel the night you actually stay there so why would I assume thats what they meant by free parking. All in all it was an okay experience and if I needed to I would stay there again, but I will look for a better option next time Im in the area.
I don’t think this should be a 3.5 star hotel due to the room quality issue. The hotel looks nice and clean in the common area. However, the studio suites were subpar; the rooms smell musty and the furnishings look old/outdated! I walked in room 205; there was a strong musty smell so I asked the front desk to give me different room. He gave me room 211, and it had the same smell! I figured it’s likely the whole studio suite row smelled the same way and would just stop bothering the front desk guy for a different room. I asked him for a room spray instead but there wasn’t anything available. Ironically I paid to suffer a whole night with unpleasantly musty smell. At least the sheet was clean so I just covered my face with it and tried to sleep. I woke up with a light headache and definitely was not happy with my stay here at all.I think the hotel tried to save money by running fan only (instead of cooling or heating) on the AC units in the empty rooms; running fan only will make the room to collect moisture and the carpet to develop mold. I wasn’t able to spot moldy spots on the carpet since it was in dark color, but I knew for sure the smell originated from the carpet since the bathroom area didn’t have a strong musty smell.I hope the hotel management team would see my review and fix the issue. The hotel is close to the airport and quite convenient with the free shuttle service.
They say that it is newly renovated, but I dont think a fresh coat of paint counts as renovated. The staff were nice but the rooms were not. The beds were clean but the carpets looked like they could use a serious clean, stains and dirt eeveryehere. The room was dusty and the fridge made so much noise that we had to unplug it. The place smelled like cheap airfreshener. Kind of like they are hiding something. They advertise a 24 hour shuttle but its not.
I’d expect a little but if shabbiness for the price but I really disliked the poor ventilation in my room. The return vent in the bathroom is totally inactive, after a hot show you can’t see any steam getting pulled into it! This would have been ok if the window opened but it’s sealed shut! It’s so humid in the room that the metal parts on the furniture are rusting and it smells dank.
I can for sure recommend the hotel, I was surprised by the nice pool area and the bar that had two billiard tables. The only thing that they could have improved was the smell in my room, it kind of smelled moldy, that happens when you deep clean the carpet and dont let it dry long enough, know that issue ;-) The breakfast was average, not too fancy but not worse than any other hotel in that price range. Good for a stayover
Do NOT book your stay here.Terrible service from front desk.Breakfast spread is lousy.Room isnt clean and sheets have stains.Bad attitude staff.Cant count on the shuttle service from the airport. You can call the hotel a hundred times & they will just hang out in you.
Would not recommend this Hotel. Lobby looks newly renovated, but rooms are in bad shape. Had an odor of urine in my room. The air conditioner was left off and it was about 80deg in the room upon arrival. There is no water pressure and it took about 5 minutes to get warm water...it never got hot. No exhaust fan in bathroom, so after showering mirror was steamed over.
Booked a prepaid room for an employee like I do several times per week through hotels.com they wouldnt let her check in, said she didnt have a reservation. When hotels.com helped them find the reservation they said it was only for one night. At this point her two small kids were crying to go to bed so I had to book a SECOND room and wait 5 days for my refund. What a joke.
Nice enough place; I was pleasantly surprised. But it is older and you can really tell. The whole place smells heavily of a box of carpet fresh, though- so if youre sensitive to smell-just dont book here. Nice, friendly staff. Good bar and bar keep. Food could use a little tweaking.
Stayed at this Ramada for a week while working in Southeast Houston area. I consider it a 3 star hotel and give it 3.5 stars. The facility is a bit strange in that externally it appears very outdated and a bit run down (I booked stay through discount website where I only knew general area, price and amenities). Almost like its stuck in the early 1970s. The windows almost look like they were converted patio doors on lower level. Inside, the hotel is a little more modern and has amenities such as a decent size fitness center and a rather large outdoor pool that looks really nice. There is also a restaurant, though I have not eaten there and seems a bit low scale as far as tables, fixtures, etc one would normally expect in a restaurant inside of a hotel. The room I find quite suitable, though for light sleepers Will Clayton Pkwy can be quite busy and loud. While the room definitely could use some updating, I found the bed, desk, dresser and TV all in good condition. The Directv was excellent and probably the largest assortment of channels in any hotel Ive ever stayed in. My only real complaint is the lack of decent water pressure in the shower, out of all the hotels Ive stayed at it is one of the worst. It was an excellent value and isnt a bad place, but given distance to work location and overall area, Ill likely look elsewhere on future bookings.
Ok I don’t know where to begin. I would like to give a positive review but in this case it just won’t happen. First of all, I flew in from LA and check in was at 3PM, the usual. I came in at 2:20PM and usually almost every hotel I ever stayed at had rooms ready at this time. I walked up to check in and told her I was ready to check in. She immediately told me that it wasn’t ready and that I would have to come back. She asked for my phone number so she can call me when it was available, which she said in 30 minutes. I was still feeling alright so I was ok waiting, after all, check in is at 3PM. I expected it to be ready given the fact that I booked this room 3 months in advance. I didn’t want to wait 40 minutes so I went to have some lunch. Sometime after 40 minutes, passed 3 PM, I get a phone call that the room was ready. I come back around 4 PM and see 2 receptionists at the front with their backs towards me. After 2 minutes, they finally acknowledged my existence. The lady that originally told me to come back looked back and told me that I had to wait because they are changing shifts and were counting out. This is where everything started to snow ball down. Finally, after 15 minutes of “counting out” I got some attention. She gave me a room and I was on my way to my room. When I entered my room, I smelled an awful odor, it smelled like feet. I couldn’t stand it and neither could my kids. I gave the benefit of a doubt and sprayed the room with my cologne. A few minutes later I looked at the ceiling and noticed half the room ceiling was warped like it was about to collapse and there were some red stains. It was disgusting. Corners of the floors had accumulated hair and collected in all corners of the room. The lamp on the night stand had a red stain throughout the edges – I didn’t want to know what it was. The desk was old like it was used and abused for years. The floors had burnt holes as if someone was smoking and put it out on the carpet. The sliding door had what looked like a bullet hole, but that could have been from a lawn mower. I called the front desk and demanded a different room. They had no problem changing the room – probably knew that the room was filthy. New room smelled just as bad but didn’t have the stains and warps. The light switch to the bathroom it outside the bathroom and also controls the light outside the bathroom. Pretty inconvenient for those who want to sleep but light has to be on because bathroom is in use. As I was leaving the room for the evening I saw a couple of men working on door lock. Nothing to it, who cares. I came back and none of my key cards worked. I had to go back to the front and explain to the receptionist that the doors weren’t opening. She kept repeating that they looked fine on her end. OK whatever – she reset them and it worked. This hotel is complete garbage – I mean it looked like it was in a third world country in the 50’s. Too bad I cant put 0 stars but I will just leave that one star for free breakfast.
Rooms are 2 star quality though hotel is 3 star. They say hotel is renovated recently. But only front lobby and breakfast and bar area renovated. Rooms are really old and run down. Carpets look dirty and room smells bad.. Had reserved for 2 nights.but checked out after first night only and switched to a different hotel. Complained about the rooms at front desk before checking out and they were least bothered to show concern or apologize. Just said thanks you are checked out.Wont ever stay in this hotel again. Dont fall for the 3 star rating of the hotel
I arrived here late one Tuesday night. I called and the man at the reception desk was very friendly and helpful. I booked a room over the phone using my card and when I arrived he was super friendly. Check-in was fast and I was soon in my room. The room had a refrigerator, microwave and a coffe maker, which I used to make some instant noodles I bought at the pantry corner in reception. The room also had a bath tub and a nice set up with plenty of space. I arrived late so I didnt get to use the fitness center or pool but both looked great and very inviting. My favorite and absolute plus was the late check out time that they allowed me to arrange. My partner arrived at 3am so we were both very tired and needed the extra sleep. It was a great experience and I definitely recommend it to people especially if you need to go to the airport or are coming from. Its location is only about 5-8 minutes so it was very convenient.
Very happy, as always, with my stay. Very comfortable bed and desk available in room if you need to work. Excellent location with easy accessibility. The restaurant serves fresh, tasty food. I had a margherita pizza last night that was excellent! And a beer! Would highly recommend.
Location decent. The hotel entryway and am mentors are nice. We stayed in the older section of the hotel which wasnt cleaned as well as it could have been (hair in shower, brown deposits on bathroom walls, used washcloth hanging from shower curtain rod). We reserved queen beds and received two full size beds. It worked for the trip, but probably will not stay with this chain again.
I stayed there to wait for my connection flight the next day, this was around may 2020, when I got there to do check in there was nobody in the front desk, I had to wait a couple minutes for someone to come out of the back, he was not nice, I don’t know his name but he was bald, and seemed as if I was bothering him, he gave me a room all the way to the back of the hotel, I didn’t complain. Next day when I had my Uber waiting for me outside, there was nobody at the front desk (again) I said hello multiple times I even knocked on the door and nobody came out, I waited there for about 8 minutes, I called the phone number of the hotel, the phone rang in front of me and nobody came to answer, it was horrible I got so upset that I left my card key there and left. Don’t think I will ever go to this hotel again.
Close to the airport with free shuttle service Atmosphere is laid back. Hotel has nice decor and fell about it. Rooms are clean with all you need in them TV fridge teasmaid microwave hairdryer iron and ironing board. Beds are enormous and comfortable. Breakfast is very basic but edible. Lunch and dinner menus have good choice and food is very good (a pleasant surprise after the basic breakfast). Pool area nice with plenty of space. Staff mostly very friendly and helpful (always one ot two that spoile things). Free car parking which is a bonus. All in all a good place to stay.
GUYS!! I GOT CHARGED $60 out of my $100 refundable deposit for Stained towels and pillow cases. AM I NOT ALLOWED TOOOOO SHOWER?? And about the pillow case, I am PROUDLY African American, because that is the way GOD made me. And with being African American, comes using hair products. And if they cant wash these items with detergent why do they put them in the rooms on display? Thats like saying look but dont touch, but if you are paying to use their amenities $300+, you should be able to use basic items. And the bed left me sore. The restaurant food was AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!! The pool is a DREAM COME TRUE, NICE WARM AND DEEP with a lot of space!! So the 2 stars is for the pool and the restaraunt.DONT BE FOOLED AS I WAS TRYING TO TAKE CARE OF MY MOTHER!!
Reserved queen size beds, got double size. 4 of us in the room, but only 3 bath towels. Have a notice that if you want to reuse towels to hang them up and if you need new ones to put them on the floor to save water, etc, but replaced towels every day even when we left them hanging up. Ran short on breakfast items, even ran out of plates one morning. Staff was friendly.
A little disappointing for a Ramada. The first that hit me on the way in was the smell. Like an old apartment building. Not pleasant. The room was nice but not well maintained with ill fitting bathroom door, an obvious patch job in the bathtub/shower and other details not befitting a hotel of this level. I expect more from Ramada. The coupons for food and drinks are not explained well. I tried to get a couple of drinks with my food at the restaurant, I was informed the coupon for drinks was only good in the bar upstairs. I am not going to visit two places just to use a coupon - fail.
The receptionist forgot to give back my ID which caused delay in my travel plans. I finally got a call from the hotel asking me to come back to pick up my ID. As I was already in a diffrent state, I kindly asked the receptionist to overnight it as I could not travel without my ID. The receptionist was insisting on mailing it via regular mail but at the end of conversation she assured me she would take care of it. Unfortunately, 4 days later I still have not got my ID. Finally I reached out again and asked about it and the manager told me it was mailed via regular mail and that they do not do overnight mail. I could not believe the answer....I did not expect them to pay extra mailing fee and would have send the check to cover the mailing expense just to be able to continue my travels without hassle. So disappointed. Management has long way to go to learn customer service.
It is close to the airport and clean but otherwise nothing special. I also had to wait longer for the shuttle when I landed than walking would have taken - the shuttle driver was doing errands with someone who wasnt a guest of the hotel and then told me that if I wasnt prepared to wait indefinitely then I should take a taxi as the shuttle was only a courtesy. The shuttle was the main reason I selected this hotel due to my short layover.
It was a well maintained, clean, and very complete (everything you may need) hotel.Restaurant, bar, gym, pool, laundry room, huge parking lot, were some of the amenities that this Ramada location offered on the outside. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful (it counts at least when you have to book at 2am). Inside the room; great TV, fridge, microwave oven, work desk with large mirror, huge comfortable arm-chair with ottoman, king bed soft as a cloud. The bathroom (with a pre-room) was clean and white with different size towels, big marble sink counter, hair dryer and ironing table, and bath tub. Maids came to clean the room everyday and also change sheets and towels. Awesome place, awesome people. For 63-64 a night is cheaper to leave here than rent an apartment in New York city. Not to mention I started getting sad as I was leaving.
Absolutely horrible customer service. Terrible restaurant and pretty much non-existent bar. The incidentals are $100 and I have had $300 taken out and not return to me. The only good thing about that place is the housekeeping staff and the older gentleman who works overnight shift. I wasnt even able to bathe because the worker, Matthew, expressed his dislike for me and did not address or fix the problem. He treated me terribly and was very very rude every time I stayed there. I told him there was something pink all over the sheets and I would like new sheets and he did not address that either. Fiona is the manager and has been a very nice but promised to have me reimbursed for the $300 they took without authorization. However, although she has been kind, she has been unresponsive and did not keep her promise. They still have my money and I again like a fool wasted money once again on their non hospitality and the lack of following through with guest concerns.
This place is HORRIBLE. I booked a jacuzzi suite with a pool side view. We got to the room, the carpet was soaked, smelled like Raid roach spray, full of Mosquitoes and there was a locked door that led to a utility closet. The room was also facing a building, not the pool. I told the front desk and was told to leave, spray some Glade or go to a smaller room. Needless to say, we left. You couldn’t pay me to stay at this dilapidated “hotel” DEFINITELY doesn’t look how it looked online. Save yourself the headache and book somewhere else. If I didn’t have to give them a star, I wouldn’t *thumbs down*
Booked this hotel and stayed in it for about three hours and noticed something moving behind the curtains. Soon enough a creepy crawly roach appears. As I try to exterminate our large roach friend named Demetrius we went to grab a small trash bin and noticed another roach inside the trash. As my conclusion; I wouldn’t recommend this hotel very disgusting and when checking in receptionist had a nasty attitude and wasn’t wearing her mask. P.S...Wouldn’t recommend sleeping with roaches.
Not impressed with this place at all. Room was terrible. Stank as soon as you walked in. Hardly any water pressure in the sink water controls in shower worked but were all loose and low water pressure in there as well. I left before the free breakfast so I cant comment on it, but did have a steak at the restaurant there it was decent. Bartender had a good personality.
This place needs a zero star rating. Was the worst smelling hotel. If you could even call it that. Saw some random women sleeping in the lobby at a real late hour. - The bedrooms all had a very very bad smell! The bed was very uncomfortable sleeping in. It stunk! Good thing I had packed some blankets. I had to cover it just in case....if you know what I mean. Not a good experience! No wonder it was cheap! You really get what you pay for. Never again!
Nice place very friendly people. Restaurant was recommended and decided to try it. Ordered sweet tea and found something that looked like fungus at the bottom of my glass. Luckily I hadnt drank to much. Reported the problem to the waitress and decided not to eat there. Hence the reason for the three stars.
Overall is a nice place to stay. Fast check in.and out. Staff is very friendly. Conveniently located just a few minutes from the Airport. The rooms are nice, not too spacious but that is fine with me. You are about 30 minutes from downtown Houston. The one thing I disliked was the pool, water was super dirty and it had too much Clorox in it to the point that I just sat on the edge of the pool with my legs In the water for a moment just to please my son and play with him and then my legs had that white mark. Disgusting honestly! Their breakfast is average. Long lines for the waffles.
Abysmal at best. The building is in poor condition and had several functional and cosmetic issues. The desk clerk was professional but not cordial or helpful. Extra pillows are not available. When asked when I could get them, I was told the next day. Too bad I was leaving at 230am. Apparently house keeping has the only access to the sacred pillow stash. Bring your own extra pillows if you are like us with back issues and need them for added support. Not planning to stay here agai. I cough up the money to stay at the airport proper.
If you can get past the rooms its decent!!First of all lets start at the most important part, THE ROOMS! I wish i could take a picture. Who ever decorated this place was born in 1913. The floor in the room is a beautiful shade of vomit!! An the curtains as well!!The beds have the cheapest mattress they could find. The T.V. is placed on a stand on a WOODEN desk from 1992. The night stand WOOD was brought on boat by Christopher Columbus in 1862.I love lucy has more color than this room. No art work at all in this room with a two tone sage painted wall. Unless this is the hotwire special room. either way a update is due.As far as the rest of the hotel it is beautiful at first glance, but with a more in depth look it needs to be updated as well. I cant take away from the open flooring and set up of the hotel. I bet it was a thing of beauty in 1954 when they open the first ramada. Just kidding on the last shot ;)The pool and the set up is nice and they have rooms that overlook. To bad I didnt get one that probably would have change this review.Overall you get a 3 because of the horrid room and seeing thats where guest spend most of there time i say cater to the room. Mount some Tvs, brighten some paint, Hang a picture, soften the mattress.Rates are good!!
This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The only reason I gave one star was because I couldn’t put ZERO. The walls are super thin, we heard the neighbors every move and I do mean EVERY! The water pressure in the toilet was stronger than the shower water. That was horrible as well. The tub had Hair from the previous guest, the remote control had tape holding the batteries in. Just a horrible experience overall. If your looking to stay somewhere nice THIS IS NOT IT😡😡😡😡🤯🤯🤯🤯
The staff is incredible. Brinnika and Brittanrmy at front desk are the bestIve ever had the pleasure in of checking in with. We has a problem with one of the rooms and she did everything possible to get our room right and she did! She was like Superwoman to me even physically running to check if our room was right.
The only good thing about the hotel is its close location to the airport. Not only was the staff rude, but I am now fighting a bogus charge for a stain on a pillow. Priceline said this was a 3 star hotel, but it is more like a 1.5 star hotel that is shady, not the cleanest, and has bad service. Some reviews have stated this hotel has bed bugs. My room did not have bed bugs, but with the service, cleanliness and unauthorized fraudulent charges on my card from this hotel, I believe the reviews about bed bugs. Save yourself pain and choose a different hotel.
Staff was very guest friendly, the payment for the room was a quick & easy transaction. Only problem was that the lady at the front desk assigned us a room that already had someone staying there. She resolved it quick & gave us a room with a jacuzzi 😄. Room was very clean & I really enjoyed my stay.
Spent the night here with the family in between flights. Overall the stay was pleasant. Not 5 or anything but got the job done. Room was decent and clean enough. The very nice surprise was the included breakfast the next morning. Shuttle service to IAH is on the half-hour. Price was the most competitive of all the hotels in the area.
Let me start with my experience it was a okay visit for the price. The staff did not know ENGLISH and wasnt very helpful. The room smelled sour and very stuffy. My sister could barely breathe. The next day woke up to few roaches crawling above our TV and on the WALLS..We went to get a housekeeper and they was no HELP once again.went to front desk and Fiona called another housekeeper up there an she came with 2 towels smh an didnt killed neither one of them she let it fall somewhere in our room an we was in the room panicking and paranoid since it was roaches still in their. Ask Fiona if she could refund the visits due to our experience. She said NO its already paid upfront all she could do is give us a SODA OR SNACK from they little store. She also states they get roaches from time to time. Meaning the hotel is INFECTED. video an pictures below.. the Inside of the hotel is nice it just the ROOMS!!! STAY away if you can afford better.. customer service horrible, Food horrible, an rooms is not sanctuary. RUIN MY BIRTHDAY WEEKEND...had to Rush to do everything sense I was so scared.
Had a horrible experience with the manager and the staff! Terrible customer service! our company prepaid a room for one of our drivers they needed a card for incidentals which is fine we do that all the time the manager screamed at me on the phone and my driver in person this was at 6 pm. We send an authorization for a photocopy of our CC and DL they said it was too dark they could not see the last 2 numbers that were written on the form. They refused to talk to us or the travel site we booked through they told our driver we do not want to talk to anybody they said if you do not resend the info, it was 9pm now, your company is going to lose their money we dont care about what time it is. Then the manager said i do not want to deal with them and he got in his car and left so when the travel agency called back for the third time the lady at the counter said i am not a manager i cannot help you. So they did not give us a refund. Our company reserves motels twice a week every week and we have never been treated so poorly. WE WILL NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF OUR BUSINESS IN OR OUT OF WORK!
What an awful experience. The staff did not respond to my concerns when I raised them about the television not working. I went to the front desk and subsequently called twice (waiting on hold forever both times). Finally, they told me to fix it myself. Not relaxing at all.
I booked a room here mainly because I had an overnight layover. I saw they offered a shuttle and decided to book a room here. When I arrived, I called to request a shuttle, and I waited for the shuttle for over an hour, and when I called to check the status, she told me multiple times it was on its way. Eventually I just ordered an Uber. Also the woman I spoke to on the phone and who checked me in was--hands down--the most impolite/rude employee I have EVER spoken to. It was truly miserable dealing with her.
This hotel has false advertesing. The pictures are outdated. The room and the hotel halls smell like stinky water. The rooms look very old. The floors, walls, celing and the dash boards look old and dirty. The towels in our room were old and had steins on them. We had to turn on the ac to help with the smell but it got worst. The room smells like sewer..one word. Not to mention the breakfast was horrible. Food look like had been reheated several times. With the hotel being near the airport, there is no reason why the rooms cant be updated..
The place is older, but they keep it up nicely, and it couldnt be more convenient to the airport. A five minute drive to dropoff and pickup. The pool is large, with a nice deep section, and palm trees all around. Nice bar, hot breakfast in the morning. We spent the night after dropping off the kids for an international flight. This was a perfect place for that.

2022-03-02I will never stay here again. What type of hotel dont have food 7 days a week?! The last time I came to Houston a few weeks ago & stayed here, there was a place upstairs with bites, but now nothing. I canceled my reservations & went to another hotel. This sucks. On the bright side, the bar upstairs was very pleasant. The staff were nice & professional just like the last time & drinks were amazing. They deserve 5 stars. But the hotel zero stars!!

2022-05-11Staff was wonderful. Prices are good considering the hotel is by airport. Free shuttle with long term parking options. The lounge upstairs was great, lots of laughs. Good drinks. We enjoyed the beautiful pool area. Definitely would stay again if we can.

2022-07-05The staff at the Ramada is truly amazing. Everyone greets you with a smile, Raven and the other front desk staff are just super friendly. The food I must say is great and very consistent. Traveling far and near, I encounter staff on the daily. However when staying at the Ramada, I’m often reminded just how customer service should be! Thanks to the staff for making hotel feel welcoming and always going above and beyond!

2022-01-29Stayed here for 2 nights. Decent quality stay for a good price. Recommend for a professional trip rather than a family. Cleanliness and customer service could be improved. Due to Covid, breakfast area was closed, only a bag with an energy bar, fruit cup and a bottle of water.

2022-07-08This is a good hotel/motel especially for the price. The rooms are clean. There is a pool. You get a fridge and microwave. There is a shuttle to and from the airport. Be aware that there is a major road construction project in front of the airport, so shuttle times can be a little long. (July 2022)Is this the Ritz? Hell no. But it is a good place for dinner and sleep before an early flight. Especially for the price.

2022-03-09My brother and I missed a flight at the Houston airport at 10pm. We were just looking for a convenient, budget friendly room to be in for the next 10 hours before the next flight. Staying here and using the free airport shuttle easily saved us $40 on Uber rides. Our luggage did not miss the flight in Houston, so we had nothing, but the hotel had everything we needed that wasn’t complimentary in their little shop. The rooms really need updating but they are comfortable, and overall we were happy with our brief but low stress stay.

2022-02-18We were stuck at the airport in Houston and took the shuttle to the Ramada. When we arrived the front desk was very helpful BUT our first room was not clean or made up. Our second room had no towels. Front desk brought 3 bath mats, and 2 hand towels, no wash clothes or towels. Our remote had dead batteries. People fought and yelled in the hallways all night and we could not sleep. The coffee was cold in the morning. AND there was a caution sign with a stained towel next to it for 24 hours in the main hallway.Very disappointing stay.

2022-05-31Positive: The rooms were clean and fairly large. There was adequate free parking available. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to the nearby airport. Negative: Check-in was slow and the hotel requires a significant deposit on a credit card, even if youve already paid for your stay online. The hotel is sprawling but there are only a few entrances and one elevator so be prepared for quite a walk to your room.

2022-02-24Stayed at this hotel for one night. The shuttle picked us up and it was all smooth but over all front desk person wasn’t really welcoming. Infact they were talking amongst themselves and joking about guests and other people right infront of us. The carpets smelled and it felt like everything was damp.Over all not very clean or hygienic. Didn’t find any roaches or insects as listed by other reviewers. Front lobby had a spill and even though someone informed the front desk, no one really cleaned it until the morning when we checked out. You get this for the price you pay.Had a nice lobby, piano , outdoor location but honestly it was too suffocating for us and we checked our early in the morning
