Randalls in other cities:
This store may not always have exactly what I want and I find their prices to be a bit higher than other stores but the sales are usually pretty good if not excellent. Even when they dont have what Im looking for, they usually have something comparable and they have some items I cant find anywhere else. The store is always super clean and well organized. The bakery is really good; I love the variety and freshness of the in-store baked goods. When I have no idea what to cook for dinner I can go there and pull together something just a little bit different and easy to make!
I am not a fan of this Randalls. I have a lot of trouble with unpriced items and finding someone to do a price-check can be difficult (very). I cant understand why retail stores dont install scanners just for doing price checks. I also think the prices at this Randalls are quite high compared to Kroger and HEB. It is my last resort, never my first choice.
I made a curbside online order and when I came to the store, the order said I had already picked up or was past the time they gave me. It was around 6:40pm and I had until 8pm. Went inside and was told that apparently I had already checked in and when the guy went outside he put the items away. That makes no sense as we were busy all day and had just clicked the order to check in when we arrived. I never went to the store or anything and found it odd that they put my items back. I think he was lying since we always do curbside for other stores and never had issues like that appear. *I also do not like how you get zero notifications after you pickup an order.* So, if I had already came to get my items supposedly why wasn’t the money refunded to my account? This place has workers who just act sketchy and it’s so weird. I usually order from Walmart and Target.. I’ll keep doing that since this place has a strange vibe.
Good clean store!!! The front end manager is really pay attention to the lines so youre never really stuck behind anyone for long, they have the best meat department in Houston!!!!But at this point in time Im really looking for a clean store thats fully stocked and this one checks all the boxes on my list!!!!!
Customer service in the floral department was Unforgettable. Are so helpful they treat you like family. If you have any special events or just for yourself come here for flowers they are so fresh beautiful. Make this your One-Stop for flowers. Thank you so much for helping me. Thanks
Ordinarily I do not leave reviews, but I have had it. I have had so many issues with getting home and realizing that there is expired food in my bags, and have to return several times for this. The store in general has a strange smell near the meat. The times I have had an issues, management is rude, also customer service. The store manager is always not there or is too busy to bother. I can say one good thing though and that is that the young lady who’s line I went through yesterday, Taylor, was very polite and welcoming. I always go through her line when I see her since she always has a smile on her face and is so friendly. I am elderly and disabled and this store is in my neighborhood so I continue to come here hoping it will get better. Hope corporate looks into the managers here.
I went here for the first time. I’m a frequent shopper at Kroger’s but was in this area. I had a very pleasant experience. A little on the pricey side maybe but great customer service. My checkers name was Taylor and she was so sweet. She scanned a card for me to get a discount on my purchase and instructed me how to sign up for the discounts and coupons on the app. I might start coming here because of their floral dept, it’s so beautiful!
Great shopping experience. Great produce, meat, and deli selections. Isles are clear with minimal clutter. Excellent selection of adult beverages without the big box drama. Staff is always courteous and helpful. Easy parking, small and large buggies and convenient for a quick in and out shopping experience.
Sadly, this is one of the few remaining Randalls stores in the area. The deli is the main reason I drove out of my way to get groceries. The choice and quality of both hot and cold food is above and beyond any other mainstream grocery store and the French bread cooked in-store is by far the best Ive found and would not be out of place in France.
Thank you to the employees for opening on Christmas Day for a couple of hours. Plans changed the night before and nothing was open in Baytown. Ive drove several times to LC to grocery shop its small but Randalls always has what I need and some plus the Starbucks location inside makes it a a one stop shop and everyone is always polite and helpful. Thanks again for making my familys Christmas dinner possible in 2020🎄
I look forward to my weekly trip to the floral department. Miss Cindy & staff are always helpful, friendly, and happy to help with my weekly flower arrangements. Through the years, Cindy has created gorgeous arrangements for special occasions, for my church, and family. She is always eager to show me a new flower or idea. Just the best!
I have never done one of these but I really want to brag on the sweet girl who is taking the shopping carts and cleaning them. Her name is Taylor and she was so sweet and helpful to me today! She pushed my basket to my car and unloaded my waters for me! She was so nice too, bright and cheerful and was extremely polite with yes ma’am and no ma’am which is lost on many young people of today. Please recognize this young lady for all of her hard work!
Just moved here from Cali, nice area. Good for a neighborhood store, fully stocked even had tp. Didn’t catch the name of my clerk but she had very long blonde hair and black glasses, very good service, was very accommodating when I asked a question about a price. Was nice about how I wanted my things bagged unlike some clerks who get annoyed. Would recommend to others for to go here.
We just made a trip this this Randalls for some last-minute items for labor Day. We usually only come to this store when we dont have the energy to make it to Kroger because of customer service issues experienced in the past. We found all we needed and were having a comfortable experience during this trip until we made it to the register. The cashier was pleasant but unwilling to offer the right level of customer service. We were purchasing an item whose price was clearly marked and also listed in the weekly ad. However, we were not able to get the sale price because it would not come up with the same price at the register. We explained to the cashier the situation, but she was unwilling to change the price. She wouldnt check her own ad or order a price check. We ended up leaving the item behind. We would love this to be our main grocery store, but just dont feel the service is adequate.
I love the Randalls on Marina Bay Blvd in League City. Everyone is so nice and helpful that works there. The store is stocked well, logically organized, not too big and convenient. The parking lot has easy access and spaces are wide; you do not feel like for car is going to get hit. I travel from the other side of the lake to shop there. Less stress!
Its an allright place to shop. Its kinda on the pricy side though. They didn’t have what I was looking for (sale) but there was a girl who was cleaning in the aisle who recommended a substitute. Pretty sure her name was Taylor, polite and helpful. Cashier was a little short. Overall it was allright.
Had a good experience here Started with a short blond girl with glasses greeting customers at the entrance. she was cleaning buggies for covid and had a lot of them to do and she made sure to wipe the smaller one I needed real good before giving it over to me, She chatted with me while she worked, was really funny cracking a joke, always a nice touch. I found everything I needed. Some of the other employees I saw didnt look as happy as the greeter at the door but my cashier at least got finished quick and was nice enough.
I don’t get how on a Saturday the only check out lane open was the express lane. Then when everyone piled in line the guy finally called for help but no one to bag stuff. The guy also audibly sighed the entire time he checked me out. Felt real welcoming at a grocery store. This store will be one of the next Randall’s to shut down because they are too high on prices and under staffed.
The new self check out machines would not validate my phone number saying it was cancelled. Had to go to customer service where they handled except the it I purchased was shelf labeled as 2.99 I was charged 3.99 and the customer service person just shrouded. I would rate as a 2.
Pharmacy tech student (Mecechdefek?) was not helpful at all when I inquired about the flu shot. He made me feel like I was bothering him. I am giving one star because The manger on duty Albert was willing to answer all my questions but he did not know if the flu serum was synthetic or live virus. Not a successful visit.
Positives: Relatively clean and organized.Negatives: A Randalls card is required (for reasonable prices), and even then they play an ever changing game of quantity limits for the sales prices. If an item is on sale, youre basically being gouged if you violate the limit (e.g. pay 25% more than average instead of 25% less). This makes shopping there a game of week to week guesswork.Icky: Due to Covid-19, if a limit gets past you or the cashier tells you wrong, theyll refuse all refunds for the indeterminate future (aka no refunds).Takeaway: Not terrible, but consider a place that doesnt play games with sales (to the extent they exist).
I like the pharmacy they’re always super helpful and have everything I need. Also, the pharmacist is super informative and you can tell that the whole team loves to help people. I remember one time they were closed or almost closed the gate was up and the pharmacist took and input my information in and I was able to get my meds the next morning!! They are great.
DO NOT SHOP AT THIS LOCATION! The store is disgusting and dirty, food is expired on the shelves. You can smell rotting meat throughout the store. The store manager, Mike, doesn’t care and is short and rude with customer complaints. Go to any store rather than this one. It is a disgrace and there are so many better places you can shop than this one.
Friday evening after work went to check out and only found part timestudents at the registers with no sackers. Could not get carry out until I had a fit with the Manager. The kid checking me out said he could do it if I could wait until he finished with his customers. I was on the motorized cart because of my health.I think Randalls is on its way out of that area. No training for cashiers on how to work with the public, higher prices than surrounding area stores and they are ripping off the elderly with the cell phone specials. The elderly get no specials because of not knowing how to load ads every week. Elderly friends, wake up, you are paying full price for the specials and Randalls does not care.
Check prices carefully. If it is not on sale, you are probably paying more than competitors. Not as extensive offerings as HEB. Randalls is not the top-notch store it was 25 years ago! That said, Randall’s (now a member of the Albertson’s group of nation wide stores) excels in their meat and seafood departments. Fresh choice USDA beef and certified Angus beef as well as a nice selection of FRESH fish are available daily. The meat, seafood and produce departments earn a 5 star rating while the rest of the store earns a 4 Star. Be sure to join their “Just For You” digital coupon program for extraordinary savings!
This grocery is right in the middle of many neighborhoods, so its location is why Im giving it 4 stars. It also has items that are hard to find when youre cooking up a special recipe. The downside is its VERY expensive, sometimes DOUBLE what nearby Krogers and HEB charges for the very same items. We tend to go only for the one item needed times or when were looking for something unusual that we cant find anywhere else.
This is the second time I used the online delivery method from Randalls and this is the second time we have been disappointed. The first time we ordered, we decided not to make a fuss because we dont like to make waves. We didnt say anything and just accepted what we received. We thought it might have been a one-off and maybe things would be better the next time around. However, this particular order was so bad that something needs to be said.Rotten Produce: We ordered two tomatoes and one was rotten. Not soft and overripe, but rotten. Mushy with black spots along the upper portion of the tomato. The stem was dried out as well, meaning that it had been sitting there a while. The other tomato is starting to rot with flakes of black forming, but it is still usable if we cut around it.Expired Product: We ordered Deli Shaved Turkey and received turkey that is clearly marked as expired two weeks prior to delivery. Why is it still on the shelf? Where is the quality control?Ridiculous Substitution: We learned our lesson last time to click the substitutions okay box when ordering. Last time, we were informed that the 5-6 varieties of deli meats we ordered were out of stock and it made it seem like the deli was empty. So this time, we authorized substitutions. Big mistake. We ordered classic flavored Suddenly Salad pasta. What we received was Caesar flavored Suddenly Salad Pasts. They sound very similar, but they are nothing alike and not a proper substitution. Those are two completely different flavors. It would be like if we ordered Campbells clam chowder and we were sent Campbells tomato soup. Or if we ordered Lays sour cream and onion chips and were sent Lays BBQ chips. These are not substitutions. They are completely different items. A substitution would be selecting a different brand of the item, but keeping the flavors the same. Maybe a Signature Select classic pasta salad. If they dont have it, then that is simply marked as out of stock. Dont waste our money on items we wont use just so someone can say they were able to make a substitution. We dont like Caesar flavored pasta salad and we are just going to have to throw out what was sent. If I wanted to burn money, I could find much easier ways of doing so without all this nonsense.Crucial Item not available: The entire purpose of this order was to have a certain roast for a holiday meal. That was the one item that we built this order around and it was the sale price that caught our eye. Of course, thats going to be the one item that they are out of. There wasnt another roast in the entire store to substitute?Ridiculous and very unfortunate. I always thought Randalls was a place to go for better quality groceries. You might pay a little bit more, but the quality was better. At least, thats what I thought. These deliveries are proving that this is not the case. I dont get rotten fruit or expired deli meats from Walmart. I dont get completely different flavors when I order Krogers curb-side pick up. This entire experience has soured me to Randalls online delivery. It makes me wonder what Randalls business model is. Whats the selling point for the store? Pay more and receive rotten and expired products? Just sad.
Randall’s has the best floral department in the area. They have a decent produce section and great wine selection. There is a starbucks on property too. The only reason for 4 stars is they lack the gluten free options and paleo options you get at HEB. Their butcher is weak. Otherwise one of the best grocery stores in the area.
This store has an identity crisis. One owner after another has imposed a vision of how to bring this preexisting location into new corporate compliance. This is not Tom Thumb but a group came to reorganize. This is not Albertsons but a group drove out all remaining employees of the original company and installed grocery liquidator fluorescents and budget price bulk products with must buy 4 to get the price. This isnt Safeway anymore, but products with their names are still all over. It seems to be without the original California fresh product recipes or ingredients. Good luck seeing management walk the floor. For a brief period, before the last buyout, on rare occasion someone was to be seen not likely heard. No more pride, price, product, people. Over all not a place to go out of the way for. Not a place to stay away from.
Everything i need is at randalls..the select meat .cheese. Seafood..vegetables..fruit ..pasteries..plus pharmacy plus bank plus. Some simple wearables...all the rental movies..thats why...we shop at randalls. For all things needed.Proud to be a randalls custometRosalie oliveri

2022-07-07Great experience visiting this store. Very spacious parking lot. After parking we made our way inside and see greeted upon entry. Fantastic flower selection and even better dessert options. I had no trouble finding the items I needed. Easy to be in and out in a couple of minutes. Id recommend them to anyone in the area. Very excited to go back soon.

2022-05-01I always find what I need in small lists. If I have a giant list Ill go to Costco. But lets talk about what makes this place great! For one they have half off stuff that you would actually want. They have gluten free items that I was surprised to find in a smaller store.Sadly the prices have gone recently so it has become more of a convience than first choice.

2022-06-06I do love my neighborhood Randalls. It is a little more expensive, but if you use coupons, it evens out! They are very polite and not at all crowded, except Sunday after church.

2019-08-03Very friendly staff who always seem available to help me find what I am looking for or offer to order it if they don’t carry it. They may be slightly more expensive than other places, but you get what you pay for… You get quality customer service. Their ads have become much more competitive as of late, and I find them to be cheaper than some of the other stores on a lot of products they sell.

2020-04-06Disappointed. Coffee 10.99 same coffee regulat price at target 7.19. and 3 other folgers 10.99 and target 6.99. 4 dollar difference. Seems like price gouging to me but what do I know. Low price photos are target prices. Gonna rethink which store to grocery shop. Randalls will not price match either.
