Got to the room it had an odd smell to begin with . Shower also socks theres no door on the shower so floor gets pretty wet as you shower. Also the shower head is so far up on the roof and isnt adjustable so when the water is running a good 5 inches in the center of it has no water from the style head they use. When we went to pull the covers back there was hair and stains. Called the front office to be told if we want replace bedding we have to come get it . After we got our replace.ent bedding and got back to the room. It to had Hair and stains on it .
Was a disappoint to say the least. Front desk worker was really nice and did a great job. However, the hotel is old, ran down and in need of a lot of attention. The bed had hair in it, a cigarette burn in the sheet. The burners in kitchen for the stove did not work. There were more issues than I care to explain.
Stay at your own risk. Bedding was stained. No soap or shampoo in bathroom. Looked like a dog had an accident in the room at foot of the bed. Only stayed 1 night. Mysteriously they couldnt find my reservation so checked in, but prices were higher... Because of the hurricane 🌀 in Louisiana, people needed rooms. And no one ever at the front desk. No Smoking floor, yet I could still smell cigarette smoke. Not staying here again.
Curtain panel fell off when we attempted to open them. They were held up by Velcro at the top. The top of the curtains were too high to reattach curtain so we went downstairs to inform them we needed maintenance to come help. It was 5pm and the front desk staff informed us maintenance had left for the day. She offered us a step stool and a broom. I climbed on the stool but i was still unable to reach Velcro to reattach curtain. I ended up standing on a narrow window sill in order to reach, hoping I didn’t accidentally crash through the window (we were on 3rd floor) I was able to reattach curtain, but just barely. We knew not to touch the curtains again! Also, curtains were old and dirty. While I was out of the room, my wife noticed an eyeglass case in the hanging lamp. She was able to reach it standing on the bed. Lo and behold, it contained a crack pipe! Another issue was when you turned on the bathroom light, the whole room was illumined as there was a large panel above the bed that allowed light through. Obviously this light entering the room in the middle of the night awakened whoever was not up to the bathroom. I’ve never seen seen a hotel with this many problems. I can’t seen how reviews have averaged three stars. We will not be returning here.
I don’t recommend staying at Red Roof Inn and Suites. We had to switch rooms three times and actually ended up checking out not even sleeping there! The first the hallway smelled Musty. The room as well smelled musty and the toilet wouldn’t stop running. Second room the floor was dirty, there was mold on the bathroom ceiling and water marks on the ceiling above the bed. Then the third room was suppose to be a “suite”. At first looked nice but there is a sliding glass door going into the bath there is dirt in the tracks, and then final straw was my husband was seeing if there was a plug behind the bed we looked we found empty honey bun box, half eaten moon pie, dirty paper plate and receipt that look like someone pee on it.The best part was the front desk Lady that check us in she was very Accommodating and patient with allowing us to switch to different rooms.Holiday Inn in Vidor is a lot better - It smells better and it’s clean! If I could give them no stars I would
Terrible experience! We booked two separate rooms via Priceline and when we got to counter to check in. Said our card declined, bil gave his card to swipe again just to get her to room. I went up gave my confirmation # and mine was also showing virtual card declined but I had a text receipt from my cc and inside of my mobile app it should it had went thru. Spoke to rep who was clueless, nice respectful guy but obviously not trained properly and let all alone. We had traveled for 13 hours and were so tired but it took another hour and half to straighten everything out for me to get the key. Had to do it through Priceline. Bil couldn’t get refunded until manager came in later! Get to our room and it was filthy, hair under sheets, to cover dirty and/or stained, the safety lock totally broke, floors not vacuumed. This could have been handled of nice guy was trained how to refund and how to straighten it out with Priceline on HIS system!Decaf coffee was horrible, no hall and half for cream just powdered creamer. Not recommended especially in room 207!!!
Very very poor quality motel water barley ran in the shower 🚿 no soap or other amenities provided. When I ask the guy at the front desk for soap.He started to look in the desk drawers and never answered me. The rate was higher than what I was quoted over the phone 3 days before I arrived when I questioned the price the guy at the front desk said since the hurricane and all of the people needing rooms from Louisiana we raised our prices. Thats price gouging. Never ever stay at this place
It was ok, got to room and had to go to front desk bed wasnt made so they gave us another room, got to that one and house keeping didnt even have room clean. I guess third time is a charm. Ugh. Front desk I think was embarrassed!!!! Wasnt the cleanest, hopefully the manager starts doing a walk around with each housekeeper to make sure they clean all rooms.
I went to the first room, sheets were stained and used, used toilet paper, trash in drawers, chair gross and stained, not vacuumed, dusty with no wipe. I asked for another room, it was cleaner but had a live roach running around, very poor water pressure almost couldn’t shower. Dirt was coming out of the sink, and stained sheets. By far the WORST I have ever been in. Been in better ones for less.
This is a convenient hotel easy to get on and off and is very well kept and maintained The best thing for me about it is the wonderful front desk lady Lashundra She is polite and goes above and beyond She makes a stay there worthwhile because she helps you with any problem she works out situations she is an exemplary employee and for me makes my stay there more enjoyable. She makes you feel like youre at home when you been on the road for a long time The room is clean the showers are hot. I cannot say enough about the customer service it is incredible and Im definitely will stay there again I give this an A+ You need a place to stay with a great raid and a good place to stay with good customer service this is the place I promise you you will like it and youll see what I mean and how youre treated like family
I went to hotel This week. I have very worst experience with staff and room also. Because they didn’t provide me Freezer and microwave. I am trucker so I stayed there 26 hours. I had wasted my all food because there is No freezer. I went to the room and check inside freezer and microwave then, i went to back reception and asked about that things and said to them please change my room otherwise return my money they said we can’t do any thing and we never return to you money because you had used room for 5-7 mins. Very rude lady at reception. I recommend to all please don’t go there and don’t waste your money.
This was a horrible nasty experience don’t ever come here the widows were so dirty, there was a cookie under the bed, and dusty, dirty. nothing was good I wish I could say it’s “perfect” there was no silverware plates, and I forgot to mention mold the hallways smell like trash barley any ice no breakfast. No soap no toilet paper toilet poster is bad. Water gets hot and cold even when you have it on hot this. Pool was so dirty, Where’s housekeeping?
No hot water in shower. Bathroom faucet literally fell off in my hand when I turned the water in dirty blankets and dirty carpet. Place smelled like an ashtray it hits you in the nose as soon as you step off the elevator. The vending machines didnt work. The lady at the front desk however was very nice and apologetic about the situation. I would not recommend this nasty place to anyone.
Front desk was exceptional. Room was clean and seemed to have been recently remodeled. Small dorm refrigerator and microwave was in the room. Fantastic restaurant next door. My only complaint was the bed was not a pillow top mattress so it was. Ot comfortable for me. They needed a higher quality mattress. Also there was no breakfast which was disappointing.
Terrible customer service night receptionist ( called herself a manager but not qualified to manage anything ) was extremely obnoxious and unwilling to assist with a maintaince issue that the manager ( daytime ) was aware of and had advised would be fixed ) when I got rightly upset as I was unable to sleep due to a CJ stsnt leak with the shower she walked off and went into the office . She reduced to identify herself when asked repeatedly . I also called down from room to speak to a a senior manager and she advised she was the manager . She advised if u came to the desk to complain again she would call the police on me ! Never in all my years dealing with hotels have I ever experienced such a response. Disgraceful ! I have been in contact also with corporate redroof over this issue . 4 days dated and still the shower was not fixed during my stay and no room offered even through the manager told me she would sort that out as well as issue me a refund ( but only for one night ) nothing short of a full refund and apology should be issued in this regards. I don’t recommend anyone stays here unless there is a serious upgrade or retraining of the management team.
Terrible customer service. The girl working at the front desk at night was extremely rude when answering my questions about company policies etc. Theres no problem with sticking to the book - but why give a paying customer so much attitude? This was after I had to call the store just so she would hear the phone ring & come out after we waited for around 10 min at the desk which was completely unattended. We ended up getting a room somewhere else. I like the red roof inns in Houston but I will not visit this one again. Management needs a training seminar on customer service.
This is a great location, easy to get on and easy to get off right beside a wonderful restaurant convenient to gas stations and everything else you need. They welcome you and make you feel at home they lobby was clean neat and I felt very safe and sanitary. The room was incredibly nice kept up very well and the shower was awesome It was hot water after a long hard day The bad slept beautifully and all in all the room was awesome I would give this at two thumbs up definitely stay there if youre looking for a great room and a great price.
Omg this place has gone down.rooms are not clean. we had to switch rooms because of pubic hairs in the shower , and blood spots on the sheets..gross 😝 ...the next room had no blow dryer and the fridge was not getting cold. We always clean our rooms with disinfectant and clorox due to covid. We made sure we really cleaned extra.. my advise is bring ur own towels and sheets, but im never coming back here again
Can I not give it zero stars? The staff was so great and super friendly. HOWEVER, there were homeless people sleeping behind the building and people partying in their cars in the parking lot, smoking a cigarette seemed like a risk to my safety. Also, the bathroom shelves (where the washrags were) were dusty as If they didnt clean it well and the beds were super small and hard as a rock. U have to get the deluxe room to so much as get coffee and I didnt trust anything in there.
The staff was short. According to them, they didn’t understand why the housekeeping left so early. Our room was switched 3 times because none of the rooms were clean or ready to be used from the previous night. There weren’t any towels available for us. We were in such a rush when we finally made it to the hotel that we didn’t have a choice but to wash with our soaps as dry off with our clothes . We were told we would have a clean room when we returned from visiting our family for Thanksgiving. Just to get back to the same mess, and they couldn’t get it right for awhile. They finally put us in a clean room but still no towels. And of course we had to sign a waiver saying we accepted the room as is. Overall this visit was TERRIBLE and I hope they do better in the future.
Because their general manager at this location is very unprofessional and slow why she has that position is unknown to me she doesnt have the knowledge or education for her position she preached judges people without knowing them she kicks people out without getting any type of explanation out of the next person
Elevator smelled like cigarettes. Room was clean. No towels or toilet paper. 3 employees gathered around the check in desk making it very hard to access the credit card machine. I understand you get what you pay for, but this was a little on the extreme side. No hair dryer, refrigerator or microwave. Not very friendly staff. Seemed more interested in jawing than being attentive. My wife and I travel frequently and never post bad reviews. We usually just let it go. So if I’ve posted this, it was genuinely a bad experience.
I read alot that the ppl at the first desk are fabulous. I guess the after hours lady is the exception. She barely spoke. I had problems hearing her. When I got to the floor I was on u can smell cleaner very strong. Same in the rooms. The room is cute and quaint. Good for short stays. I did see hair under everything on the bed. Ink stain and a mysterious light yellow stain. Im guessing it didnt wash out. It doesnt look to be new. I think all thier linens are wore out and need replacing. If ur in a pinch its ok.
Only 4 stars because I had to switch rooms 3 times. Smoking room had no fridge. I had perishables. Had to pay an upcharge for non smoking with fridge, didnt mind. Next room had a warm fridge, and when they said mini fridge, they meant it. Was the square dorm room mini fridge, thank God I didnt over purchase the perishables. The third room had no signal for the tv. But the final room was awesome. The staff was very accommodating. And they had a guest laundry room $3-$4 for wash and dry combined, just depends on if you use top load washer vs front load washer. The air conditioner went as low as 64... Joy. And the shower had a safety texture at the bottom of the shower stall which was roomy and no lack of hot water from the ceiling rain shower fixture mounted on the ceiling.
Check in was quick and easy. The receptionist was courteous. The room, with a king bed, was extremely clean and very nicely decorated. The bathroom was very clean and also nicely decorated. We had our small dog with us, the hotel is pet friendly. Even so, you could not tell that it had allowed pets, as there was no sign of dogs in the room, it was so clean. The room had a fridge and a coffee maker. The television worked nicely, wish the tv had a channel guide. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5, the bathroom had a rainfall shower head, which I am not a fan of, but no big deal. Price with tax around $70, good quality for the price.
This hotel excepted all of our dogs. They were very kind and sweet! The staff has went above and beyond for my family and I! We love the pool and the bath room is huge! Id recommend this place to anyone! The ladies there treat you very well! There were a few tricky things but nothing serious. We lived in this hotel for over a month. My kids loved the staff called them by name and everything.
I was looking for a hotel that allowed pets and had vacancy. It’s nice on the outside and also the lobby area but once I started to walk to my room, and noticed the carpet was a little dirty in front of the door. I go in and the room looked like it was still going thru some type of remodeling, plus the mini fridge was on the floor with a mini microwave place where you hang your clothes but you can’t hang your clothes because there is no pole. The hangers were thrown on top a office chair that looked like they took it out of the dumpster and also the curtains weren’t curtains. The room wasn’t finished and dirty. Please read reviews on the hotel when you travel before booking. Never again!
This was by far the nastiest place I have ever stayed. Hair in the beds, stained bedding, animal droppings on the non vacuumed floors, bottles from the previous customers. Curtains falling from the walls, paint missing from the walls just nasty. If I could upload the pictures here it would complete the picture.
Outdated appliances, improperly equipped, not enough towels etc, bed very hard and lumpy, no protection from falling in bath, minimal cheap toiletries, staffing never around especially during power outage. No staircase emergency lighting coming from the 3rd floor. No help for handicapped. Musty smell of smoke. This Place charged us $100.00 a nightmare.
The hotel was there when we needed it. It had HBO, so we could watch Game of Thrones. There was a coin-op laundromat on site so we could wash our clothes. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I dont really have any complaints that cant be summed up, you get what you pay for. It was less than $60 a night. The bathroom had tiny towels and a basic shower. It was a very no frills room, but the furnishings were quirky and pleasant. We had a power strip in our room, so we could charge all our gadgets without unplugging the alarm clock. If you are stranded in Beaumont by hurricane Harvey and need a safe, dry, affordable place to sleep, the Red Roof is a more than okay place to do it.
Smelled awful Idk what to compare that smell to. Had roaches I didnt sleep at all wish Id slept in the truck. It was the only place near us where my husband could park his truck and trailer. They should not be charging so much for that room. Something bit me Idk what I kept thinking something was crawling on me but didnt see anything. Tried to get hot water from the drink station for my tea while leaving and the water was dirty. Red roof needs to empty and clean that place from top to bottom. And fumigate.
The outside landscaping is beautiful, but this is the only redeeming quality of this Red Roof Inn. Was guaranteed a room with a microwave and refrigerator. Room was small cramped and smelled of mold. Walls were paper thin, allowing me to hear the next door guest using their bathroom! Within 10 minutes of entering my room, a young girl of about 14 knocked at my door offering herself up for a good time. Transient residents, the smell of pot everywhere, no Continental breakfast, no drinking fountains, a locked unisex (filthy) bathroom on the first floor, vending machine pricing for a bottle of water was $1.50, yet my credit card was charged at $3.10. Front desk response was, Yeah, so what do you want me to do about it?1 star is way too high a rating. This place is a total dump and in a seedy area. Sleeping in your car is a better choice.
Very nice rooms, which really surprised me. This was my first time staying at a Red Roof. Rooms were very nice. I was bewildered by the half sizes pillows and that they did such a great job on the bathroom with a ceiling mounted shower head, but then put a normal shower head, instead of a rain type shower head. I slept great. Would recommend.
Awful hotel! We had guaranteed reservations for two nights and just checked out 1/2 hour ago and well never stay there again. Roaches! Several of them. Threadbare sheets and towels. Check in was supposed to be 3pm but at 5:30 pm room not ready. Took until about 6:45 to get room cleaned so we could get keys first night. Manager was nice next morning and gave me $20 off and told us when we left for breakfast (it was 9am) that she would have our room cleaned. At 8pm that night it still hadnt been cleaned! DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!
We checked in to a dirty room, toilet clogged, shower dirty, the bed was made but when we pulled the covers back the sheets were not changed and there was others peoples body hair, while staying there we had cockroaches, they dont have enough towels to cover every room so customers were constantly going to the desk and asking for towels or asking why the bedding wasnt changed in their rooms. The manager is lazy, the assistant manager is great and she should be in charge!
THEY HAVE NO BREED RESTRICTIONS!!!!! My husband and I are moving here for our new jobs, and working on closing on a home this upcoming week. We had been living apart myself in San Antonio and him here in Beaumont already for a month. We were really missing each other while waiting on close, and my husband came across Red Roof Inns. They do not care one bit that I have pitbulls. They treat me no different than their other customers, except for giving me compliments on how cute my pitbulls are. I can not thank this company/staff enough for caring more about the behavior of an animal then their breed. Right now my pups are passed out on a lovely king sized bed sleeping away in a hotel. I never thought they’d be allowed to do this. So, so thankful.I did read reviews about the hotel being dirty, and I haven’t witness any of that.My bathroom is fully stocked, clean, and fully functional. My kitchen area has all of its appliances, all properly working, and spotless. They are still renovating the first for due to flood damage but it isn’t causing any smell or hazards.I have been here for 2 days with 4 days to go.So far there are zero complaints on my end, and again am so thankful for this.I love my dogs just like everyone else does and love that I have them with me.
Unfortunately, my recent experience with Red Roof in was very disappointing. The night auditor on 4/16 had poor service and social skills. While checking in our room he made comments about not punching holes in the wall and ensuring they would do an inspection before we leave. When being directed into the room we entered the elevator to dirty water and unattended stains on the elevator floor. We then got to our floor where dirty towels and trash was everywhere. Entering our room 406 it was stains in the bed, a dirty toilet, and unclean shower. When requesting another room we were grateful to receive an upgrade. However after inspecting the room it was molded pizza in the refrigerator, Dirty shower, tooth paste stains, and a dirty toilet in room 427. We left to stay in a better hotel. When leaving the night auditor became flustered asking yourre leaving because of a dirty toilet bowl. I dont see a problem they get used. I responded they also get clean. He then aggressively placed money in my hand while stating Im sorry we couldnt accommodate you.If your in an emergency in need somewhere to stay I recommend here but if seeking a place of comfort; this is not the place.
Far from anything special. This room has the smallest fridge Ive ever seen(premium room). Its barely bigger than the old metal microwave.Tv is small as well, hard to game, let alone dual screen with my son. It says its a 32 on the website but I highly doubt its even close to it.I do not recommend this place. The only reason I chose it was because every other hotel was full due to evacuees. Hmm, I wonder why not this one.
Room was inexpensive and the hotel was attractive enough, but the laminate floor in the bathroom and entry was sticky enough that you could feel and hear your shoes stick with each step. Also, my wife said the carpet was damp. I didnt check, I just left my shoes on and played the floor is lava when I went to bed. The floor situation is probably unusual but it was still kinda gross.
Could not check in early. The room was freezing and the control panel on the air conditioner did not work. The water from the toilet ran ALL night!! There was a yellow stain in the tub!! And one of the mattresses was sunk in. We will definitely pass on this hotel next time!!
Awful excuse for a hotel where the bare minimum couldnt even be reached. No toiletries in bathroom upon check in, stains on curtains, sheets, duvet... Towels were not replaced after turn-down due to lack of them. Waited the whole morning for it to be corrected, checked out unshowered. For a price comparable to other budget hotels, this place cant even make the cut which is so disappointing. Give your money to a business that will go the extra mile because this place isnt even on the road.
Stay away, BED BUGS at this hotel. First thing we did was check the mattress for bed bugs and they were abundant at the seam. I immediately took pictures and went downstairs and asked for a refund. The ladies at the front desk were not surprised at all. They just asked if we wanted a refund. We knew when we walked in that the place might not be great, it reeked of a mildew smell. Thank goodness we checked the mattress. This might be a cheap place to stay but you will pay in the long run if you take home bed bugs.
Rrived at the hotel very late. Upon arrival we got checked in. The hallways smelled like grease. We got to the room and it was clean but a few repairs were made that looked terrible. See pics. Woke up in the middle of the night night and saw a cockroach climbing up the shower door. The next day with the sun up looked out the window and noticed roach feces and an egg sack on the window sill. I could live with the poor craftsmanship of the repairs but the roaches are a deal breaker. Some of the pictures would not load. The only positive thing I can say is the air conditioner would freeze you out. Definitely a necessity for the Texas summer.
I booked my room online it said it had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. I got to my room and it didnt. Room was dirty toilet wouldnt flush. Bed was not made. I ask for a different room they moved to a different room the bed is unmade and still no refrigerator or microwave. Said they serve breakfast they dont. Ive been at a lot of motels/hotels and this is a first for me. Not to have a refrigerator. Wont ever stay here again.
Very spacious and nice!! Bathroom was incredible and bed very comfortable. Only thing is I didnt too much care for the overhead shower meaning its in the ceiling but overall I absolutely loved the room. Didnt want to leave. I made reservations online with no hassle or problems checking in OR out
Usually our stay is sweet in Superior King non-smoking....this time we thought we would upgrad to a King Suite with full kitchen non smoking but actually a downgrade. We had no toilet tissue or ironing board upon arrival and MOST disgusting unsanitary was there were t-tiny roaches to medium sized in the bathroom 😡🤢
Pretty good hotel... Not the best and not the worst either. Beds were VERY comfortable and firm which was a big plus! I loved the way the room was decorated with a painted glass wall that divides the restroom to the rest of the room and also give a soft light to the rest of the room when the restroom light is on. There was a small desk with a office chair for people who need to work on a laptop computer like what we do. The downside to the room was that there is no coffee pot, no refrigerator, and no microwave. the vending machines on the upper floors were all out of service as where the ice machines out of service at the time that we visited this hotel. Downstairs in the morning they do serve coffee but there is no breakfast served at this location. There is a vending machine in the breakfast room where you can buy things to eat for around $4 and there is a microwave there where you can heat it up. There is also a Coke machine there that sells cold coffee, sodas and water. The room was nice but I think a little more detail to cleaning needed to be done. The back of the office chair was full of dust and I have never seen that much dust on a chair before. Maybe nobody uses the chair? But also the sheets have some tears or cigarette burn holes in them and I do know that they allow dogs to be kept in the hotel. But overall it was a nice hotel I wish the price would have been a little lower since there were less ammenaties there. I believe the cost should have been around $55, not $79 plus tax. For that price at other hotels we at least get continental breakfast and also a coffee pot, microwave and a small refrigerator. We have stayed at Red Roof hotels before and this was the first one that we have been in that was like this.
If i could give a negative score i would. Do not come here! Floors were noticeably dirty, when we came into our hall and room. Looked like recently renovated..so no big deal.. a little messy from construction and still going renovations. Find out no coffee maker in room. Asked for coffee maker and was told that smoking rooms didnt have makers so we asked if we could get one in our room and was told they couldnt do that but they would have coffee downstairs 24/7... Then we find out there wasnt any toilet paper and the toilet wouldnt flush. So had to call for help with that. They acted like we were a bother from the very beginning. We dont normally complain or write negative reviews but this experience just kept getting worse and Id hate for anyone else to go through this. Anyway.. One of the first things we did, and always do when staying in hotels, is check for bed bugs and/or evidence of bed bugs. Beds were wrapped with several nice clean mattress covers so we thought all was well. So as tired as we were, my mom, son (5yr old) and myself went to bed. The next morning we wake up at 4:30 and half asleep go down 4 floors to get coffee.. there was no coffee and had to wait 20 mins for it to be made. Once again treated as if we were in the wrong. I still was nice and gave the guy the benefit of the doubt. Finally got my coffee and went back up stairs to give my mom her coffee.. to find out the toilet was clogged again.. but this time it wasnt going down and we had to use the restroom bad. So i ran down stairs to the hall bathroom, bout to sit down and realized there wasnt any toilet paper!.. again had to bug the worker... Went up stairs to room again. Mom had gotten in Google reviews and saw someone had said there was bed bugs.. so she got a flashlight and we lefted up the mattress to look at box springs.. and oh my gosh!!!!! Saw bugs running away and there was bug poop and stains on the bed skirt sheet under the wood!!! Dropped it and ran. Grabbed my son out of the other bed and we got out of there as fast as we could! It was the icing on the cake. I was shaking and in tears. I still feel like im itching! 🤢 Asked for corporate number, name of management, and wanted refund. Was told we had to call main number and they would tell manager because she couldnt do refunds... today is Saturday and cant get ahold of anyone.. best believe i will be calling as soon as their office opens. We have stayed at the Red Roof in Wichita falls and have never had a problem until now. After this experience, we will NEVER stay at ANY of their locations and if they dont make it right, to my mom, i will make sure everyone will know what i think. ****Update: Mom got a hold of upper management and they agreed to give her a refund... next day she checked her account and they had charged her another night instead of reimbursing her!!! She had to call again! This was yesterday and still dont know if they made it right. Also, I have pictures but its not letting me upload them!!
Staff not pleasant. They do not try to accommodate customers at all. You can tell they could care less for business. Check in time was at 3, we arrived at 3:20 and room was not ready. Front desk staff said the room should be ready in 30 minutes. We sat in the lobby for 15 minutes and decided to go to the store. We came back after 4 pm, front desk gave us keys to the room and told us give them 15 minutes. We waited for 20 minutes. We started unpacking the truck and made it to the 4th floor and the entire 4th floor had a horrible odor. We get to our room and they have 2 maids in there and the room was a total mess. I talked to the maid and asked her when will the room be ready. She had a very nasty attitude and told us she did not know when the room would be ready. I turned to my husband and children after driving 4.5 hours to Beaumont that I will not stay here at all. I went to check out and received a refund. Never again... I feel sorry for people who have attitudes on their jobs like this because that is the only job they can get and they will be stuck in that same situation forever.
We pulled over because we had gotten a flash flood warning. We got the last room available and it was on the very top floor. The room had not been cleaned from the last person that used it and smelt very strongly of weed. They also did not replace the towels or toilet paper.
Disappointed. I love to stop at red roof inns with my dog but this room was dirty. Refrigerator had spilled O.J. on door & bottom of frig. Water in shower was running & the part was not available to fix it. I didnt feel comfortable to walk barefoot in the room. Empty 12 can Sprite box was left in the room, no garbage bag in trash can, toilet paper holder was falling off the wall.
Worse experience ever at a Red Roof. Check in clerk was very rude!!! She also had personal friends there and was too busy worried about them. The rooms are disgusting and it seems the maids just make up the beds and maybe wipe down the bathrooms. Showers were disgusting. We checked out the next day and went to the La Quinta down the street. The staff there was amazing. The room was nothing extravagant but much cleaner!!! Pay the extra 10.00 and go down the road.
Where to begin... bed sheets, gross. Shower, no pressure and only half a wall so water can get everywhere in the bathroom. Staff are constantly on their phones at the front desk. Housekeeping does a minimal job. No breakfast... not even pop tarts to snag. Internet is spotty. Im using data right now because the internet is just plain horrible. Cant do work on computer either for the same reason. Grateful for a cheap room, but Ive had cheaper and better than this.
We stayed at this hotel last week. When we arrived to the room, it had a really bad smell to it, and it was coming from the AC unit. We pulled the curtain back and there was some nasty brown stuff leaking from it. It was all over the window seal, and I guess it had stained the curtain as well... Before we got in bed we checked it. On one bed the pillows didnt smell fresh at all. There was hair in it, like someone had been laying on it. When we pulled the covers back, there was small pieces of hair in the bed, and some long strands. *How disgusting*, it looked & smelled like the bed was never washed, like the maid just pulled the covers back! So we asked for fresh sheets, when we got them, there was a big hole in the sheet, I could have stuck my whole hand through... Lets talk about the bathroom.... Before anyone showered, we noticed small pieces of hair in the tub!!! And the tub was so dirty, like it wasnt cleaned well at all...nasty stains all over the place!!We finally asked for another room! There was no buggy to put our luggage on, so we had to carry everything from the 3rd floor to the 1st floor, making about 2 trips. The new room was better, it smelled a little fresher, but still a odor coming from the AC unit..Prices are decent here, but I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone!!!
Disgusted! Booked this hotel for three days. Got awaken at 6 a.m. by construction next to the room next to us and then on our own room( outside the window). They refused to refund us but took our reservation, knowing they had construction going to take place.Black mold in the bathroom in the tub area and the floor was not vacuumed.
When i called to ask if they had laundry facilities i was told yes well the dryers were out of order with a ripped up sign on the front i put money in for washing soap it took my money and no soap. the ice and snack machine was out of order, Upon check in the girl stated she was new she was supposed to give me a room with a fridge and microwave but did not, she could not add my redi points bc she knew nothing about the program no training but left alone to check guests in. My room was gross and smelled like smoke, condom wrapper left on the floor, trash on the floor, dirty toilet, my toilet was clogged hair all over the bed, blood on a pillow, hair left in the shower, i would not recommend staying here to anyone it was my worst experience at a red roof in
The good: Staff was friendly during check-in.The bad: The room smelled and we had to be relocated. This happened to other family members who were staying there as well. (We had a total of 9 rooms). The clean room had something splattered all over the wall that looked like soda.(I hope) The ONLY smoke detector in the room had a plastic bag covering it. We called down to ask why, and nobody had a clue. The corners of the shower need a deep cleaning as there was soap residue and build-up in them. Speaking of the shower, the water trickled out of the faucet due to calcium build-up. It literally took 30 minutes to wash the shampoo out of my hair. This happened to other family members staying in different rooms as well. The mattress was ok, but by this point I was just hoping I wouldnt get bed bugs or something worse. During our brief stay, it should be noted that family members witnessed a female Red Roof Inn staff member exiting one of the rooms with a man (he did NOT work there). They looked quite dishevelled, and lets just say the elevator ride down with them was quite awkward. In the morning, there were men sleeping in the lobby on the couches. We checked-out of there as fast as we could and vowed to never return. I plan on keeping that promise.
It was ok..could use a little extra attention on cleaning floors etc. but all in all its ok..a little overpriced for the undated atmosphere.but still ok...I would say no more than $55.00 a night..but I paid $65.00...still better than some places..(blessings on yall)..
The service was great, the accessibility was great especially since I didnt know the town at all, and the room I stayed in was very cozy. But I gave it 3 stars because the bed wasnt very comfortable, but that could just be because of my preference to softer beds. Everything else about it was great.
The manager is rude and becomes real ghetto when you wont let her steal. Tried to keep my $100 cash deposit for a late check out when we called and got permission for a late check out. Not to mention the room was only $60ish dollars, and she thought she would keep $100 for an hour. Im sure this is a scam she runs to pocket peoples money who dont realize that she cant keep a deposit left to ensure the room isnt damaged. It doesnt have anythong to do regarding tardiness. Had to threaten to call the cops to get my deposit back, and now she put me on a do not rent list since i spoiled her plan to steal, not that i ever would go back. BEWARE AND DONT LET THE GHETTO MANAGER STEAL YOUR MONEY!
Beds were soft but our room was not cleaned. It had seemed as though someone had laid in the bed and didnt make it . We didnt have enough pillows(only had 1) ,we had to go downstairs and get some more. It wasnt worth the money I wouldnt stay here again...Do not stay here, if possible go to Elegante Hotel way better. Our room didnt have enough towels either. we had to go get more.
Good location, why are they renting rooms on upper floors of elevator does not work??? ALSO, its basically a drug den mixed with some travelers. They know that a side exit door gets left propped open all night and even provide a board and a rock. What kind of security is this??? Lots of all night yelling and screaming from the low-life rooms. Better not complain or it might be your last stay anywhere.
The rooms are nice if you get a fridge and microwave is the question. The front desk was rude especially when you ask about coffee to the bright short curly hair lady ,she is quick to get an attitude. I was a female stay for a short period of time and I dont recommend this hotel.
Been here 11 days while working on a short term job. Today was the first day linens were changed. The old sheets has holes in them. Internet service is soooo slow. Room decor has likely been recently been redone but management is super bad. I come back to the room about 3pm each day and usually maid hasnt been to room yet. I really would recommend staying someplace else
This was the worst experience of my life. Absolutley horrible!! The staff was awful, everyone I came in contact with during my stay was very unprofessional. I arrived to the hotel @ 4pm only to be told my room was not available in which I pre booked 1 month in advance. Check out is at 11am and how the room was not available I still can’t get a straight answer. Once I finally had access to A room it wasn’t even the room I booked. The room I arrived in was no bigger that a walk-in closet. The a/c doesn’t work, I asked for another room and was told that this room was the only one available after I made the reservations for a room to hold 4 guests. The room was a single king size bed that was pretty much the size of the room. The shower has no water pressure of control of temperature the suite size refidgerater is actually the size of a microwave. Everything about this hotel and establishment is a fraud. The company definatly over promised and under delivered. If I could give negative stars I would. Please save yourself and your family the heartache and trouble!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR BUISNESS HERE!!!!
Service:When I first got there, the receptionist gave me the key to a room that was already occupied...thank goodness the key did not work or I would have been faced with an awkward situation. When I told her that I my key did not wok and that there seemed to be someone already there, she called that room, and when somebody answered she just said Oh sorry and hung up. Front desk prank calling guests to find out if a room is occupied? After I finally got an unoccupied room, I realized the bed only had a thin blanket, and no comforter anywhere in the room. So i called for a blanket to be brought to my room, and was told I had to go pick it up at the front desk. Never before had I been asked to pick something up as basic as a blanket. When I got to the front desk, all they had was another of the same thin blanket. I asked for a thicker one and was told they didnt have anything else...what kind of hotel doesnt have comforters??Room:The room is clean with a modern design. However, it is very small and feels somewhat claustophobic. The bed is the hardest Ive seen in any hotel/motel. The florescent light over the bed is too bright and harsh, not what Im used to in a hotel. The floors have zero soundproofing as I could hear the guy upstairs pacing about. The 32 LCD TV was nice though.I was promised a tub when I ordered but my room only had a overhead shower.Overall thoughts:This hotel was on sale and now I see why. Even for this discounted price ($56), I expected a lot more. There are many other hotels in Beaumont in this price range and I recommend you stay somewhere else.
Desk wont do anything about noise from RESIDENTS. Rooms are gross, I had to clean the one Im in. Ive already been moved once and now they want me to move to a smoking room. Dont give your money to these people. They have it setup so they have to approve pictures on their reviews. Otherwise I would be showing how nasty this place is.
First let me say the staff was really nice ,but the rooms it self could use some spraying n more. Unfortunately I had to stay a whole week here. The first night I stayed in a suite it was find n by the third night it had an unbelievable smell n then the roaches came out, after reporting that I was moved to another suite. Only to find out it was above the original room I had before, that room was find until you open the curtains n the bugs was dead in the windowsill ,and then the bug I killed crawling on my bag that was sitting on the desk top. Let me not forget the one in the tub n this is the only hotel I know that doesnt have a complementary nothing but coffee. The WiFi went in n out so I couldnt really use that, you had to go over on the other side of the bridge to get an Atm at another hotel and if you dont have a car you have a long walk to get to a store. Some of the wash cloths had other people hair in it. I was not happy with this experience at all, if it wasnt for the employees I came in contact with I would have given them one star. They need to make some changes big time!!!!
Ive been going to Red Roof for a year and never had any problems with the old staff but on August 8, 2016 it was a total disaster, I applied online through the red roof website to reservate a from and I called to confirm my reservist & Krystal had a attitude by saying I had to wait because shes dealing with other people in the lobby, well I was placed on hold for a while I decided to call back again & it resumed until she finally got on the phone then she told me the price, so I went to go check in and it was $17.00 more than what she explained on the phone and she said she didnt tell me that, so if was very frustrating and wasnt very nice or put her customers first. I decided to cancel the room because I didnt want to stay anymore after sitting there for at least 45 min. So she agreed and said it was canceled, now I checked my debit card and I was still charged and It was horrible. Im a faithful customer at Red Roof but now I would never come back again until it has better service..
If all you need is a bed its perfect... but this is the first place we stayed over in our travels that did not have a fridge or microwave. The tv is extremely small! Luckily, it was only one night and all we really needed was sleep. Glad we know for our longer stops on the road.
Bed bugs. I found one in the bed, and a bed bug carcass on the windowsill. The place did look clean. And they came and replaced my shower head as soon as I told them that it was plugged. but I did show the front desk a picture of the bed bug that was in my bed alive and running around.
Horrible. This place is disgusting. I actually paid for one of the more expensive rooms and was so disappointed. The room was dirty and the sheets and comforter had holes in them. There was at least 6 large cigarette holes in the comforter. The room was non-smoking but the comforters smelt like smoke and had burns in them. I dont think this should be allowed in any hotel.
3rd floor room. Clean. Hot water takes 30 minutes to get to our room, then it is barely room temperature by the time it hits your body because the shower head is in the 10 ft ceiling. No shower curtain, just glass covering half the shower. 4 ft shower however ceiling showerhead is only 1 foot (maybe) off back wall so you have to stand up against the wall to shower. ** Stayed a 2nd time and hot water was much better**
If the rooms were free I wouldnt stay. Roaches, mattresses sunken in, and some water poured out the ceiling in the bathroom All over my head and clothes. I was furious. Red Roof is Nasty in Any State. My job booked my coworkers and I here. So I figured it was ok, Hell No !!!!!!!!! Too much traffic All night
Before renting out they conference room there were no rules or guidelines. I did not have to sign anything before renting. I asked how long could I have the conference room and no time was given I was just told until whenever. I was also told by the clerk they rent the conference room for parties instead of rooms so it would not bother the occupants. Neitherless to say during my even they wanted to cut my time in which I was never given to 10:30 pm stating they had complaints but no one never came to the room to tell me so. When I got notice to go talk with the clerk she stated her boss gave me unto 10:30 pm to shut it down. I refused and told them I was never given a time and I already paid if that was the case I could of took my money somewhere else. I did not leave until I was ready and the lady on night shift with the red haid was RUDE and showed no care.
Hotel is standard for a Red Roof. However the staff seems to resent you for making them do their job. This starts at the front desk and includes the maid staff. Everyone acts like theyre too good for their job and its your fault they have to do it. The one bright spot is the male front desk employee.
I do not recommend this stay the sheets had stains on them there are roaches it is very very filthy they don’t clean there is a extremely bad odor when u walk in the room and the hall it’s very hot and stinky in the the hall. They also have animals in here and we found dog hair all over our sheets. So we had to get a whole new set of sheets blankets and everything and they had a big brown spot on the mattress. This hotel needs to be shut down.Just pitiful and disgusting this is a disgrace to society.
Beware of the late night river dancing competitions and Midieval Larping held in the floor above yours. Its always in the floor above yours. Calling the front desk only receives a chuckle and a Ill keep checking with them. from a woman whom clearly doesnt care and must endorse previously mentioned events, herself. I do not recommend this hotel, at all if you want to get a decent night of sleep. Beware the strange stains on the poorly made beds and half used toilet paper rolls.
Friendly staff. All in all, its comfortable for the price with no frills. The kitchenettes were serviceable, with a single small sink, an apartment fridge, a two burner glass top stove, two seat table, and a few cabanets. The glass top stove had the corner broke off and the sink was very small. They also provided a few dishes, utensils and a pot and pan. The room was not especially dark during the day as I worked the might shift a d need to sleep then. They ran out of coffee cups at some point and most of the rooms had something broke. In them. I stayed in several rooms because they couldnt run down my sheets and so I just moved rooms every week. Laundry on sight was a buck a cycle so $2 for a wash and dry. The little pool is outside and small and not very inviting. I had no desire to swim in it. And the elevator was slow. Also nothing for breakfast at all. Just coffee. .
Ok. Was over 80 dollars a night. I stayed in a red roof in Pensacola for 20 dollars less that had much more room and two chairs. I prefer having more room. This room is tight. The only chair is the computer chair at the small desk. Two people cannot pass each other at the front of the bed. There are also these horrible heavy looking lights that hang from the ceiling over each bed. It makes you feel like you are on a surgery table. The tensy tv is mounted on a black panel to make you feel the tv is larger, the effect does not work. My least favorite Red Roof.
What more could you ask for? They let me park my 26 Uhaul with a 15 trailer in their parking lot, let my two dogs stay for free, upgraded us to the nicer room while keeping the price the same, and has friendly staff. We were very impressed with this Red Roof Inn. Shout out to Tia for taking care of us!
I’ve stayed at this location a couple of times now. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are designed very elegant for the price they charge. When I describe them I compare this location with the Omni Dallas just to give an idea. It’s not that fancy, but it is a damn nice place to stay for the price.
Ive stayed here plenty times..didnt really have problems until maybe the last 2 times..about 3 months ago and now...the last time there was bed bugs..i got bit twice and noticed it immediately..im here now and feels like i cant stop scratching..i just feel dirty..the room stinks although its smoking..doesnt smell like smoke..just odor..the floor feels oily nasty and i forgot they dont have thick blankets..i havent seen the shower yet...Im scared!!!!!! Tv could be bigger too but oh well
One front desk person was rude, the elevator smelled of weed and my room did to, the water pressure in the shower was bad comma I was their for business so I didnt complain, but if I had my kids with me I wouldve had changed hotels. I would have to tell parents with kids at this is not a kid friendly hotel
We, the Raymond family absolutely loved our experience at the Red Roof Inn and Suites. Ms.Echo and staff at the front desk really went out of their way to make sure that my family of 5, really enjoyed our stay. Overall, very clean eatablishment, affordable, and a great place to get a good nites rest. Thanks Red Roof Inn anf Suites and Staff Beaumont, Tx...*The Raymond Family*
On Friday September 11, 2014 I experienced one of the most terrifying nights in my life. Upon checking into room 413 at the Red Roof Hotel I awoke to screams and shots being fired. While trying to take cover;I noticed a couple of bugs crawling on the bed. I then raised the mattresses to find several bugs crawling on them. At that point, I notified room service to inform them of the shorts being fired and the bed bugs crawling all over the mattresses. In response to my cry for help; I was told to stay in my room until the police arrived. I was so terrified that I was unable to rest or even seek refuge that night.
Nasty!!! That put us in a room that had black toenails on the floor! I called and asked the front desk and the clerk said the room was never cleaned! She gave us another room and the bathroom had pubic hairs in the bathroom! Yuck! Dont stay here! Still waiting on my refund!
Not very clean but then its not all that expensive either.Only has WALK - IN SHOWER; NO BATHTUB!Some rooms dont even have a microwave or mini - fridge or even a HAIR DRYER!I could hardly believe it.YOU. P A Y. FOR WHAT YOU GET.Thats the way it is at this place.Oh! And there is no breakfast here either.
When traveling I usually have fairly low standards as far at hotels are concerned because I dont spend much time actually in the hotel. I very much enjoy Red Roof because it is cheap, fairly modern and the staff is competent. It is definitely a two star hotel, but it does it well.
When is showered I felt like I was at jail and the water temperature was either hot or cold no warm no shower curtain and the pool needed to be cleaned maids and staff was very nice room was clean no vending machine worked and half the ice machines were broken and no cartoon channels for kids
I understand things go wrong. However when you accept a reservation AFTER the hurricane and confirm it you should AT A BARE MINIMUM contact me after you cancelled my reservation after I HAVE FLOWN OVER 3000 miles . You should be embarrassed as a business , no matter what excuse you have the least you have the least you could of done was tell me it was cancelled.
The hotel looked nice from the outside till we got into our room the beds were hard and uncomfortable we had only one tiny trash can in the bathroom so 3 peoples worth of back in the box trash went into the one can plus the bathroom was the best way I can explain it how can we take expensive ideas and do them as cheap as possible the sink was nice but the shower was set is as a rain set up when the head is in the ceiling but it was just a standard shower head ing from the roof so it didnt have the benefit of coverage the way a rain style shower does and it was too high for even myself who is 63 to adjust and only half glass no shower door or curtain so after your shower the whole floor is now wet from water spray in out I would have rather had a normal shower head on the wall and a full shower door I see where they want to try to go its just horrible execution
Cheap clean great staff just needs breakfast in the morning like the web says it does the staff is over whelming they treat you like family and do thier best to keep RIP raff out of the motel if ever in town again Id stay there everytime thank you redroof for a wonderfull stayNow how a bbn out that breakfast !!! Lol
It was not good ..the rooms has dirty top blankets that smelled like pee and the shower was drip drip..also they charged my nephew a whole another day after she called up to the rm and my son told her we were running a lil late but wasnt staying..Im here for a funeral to bury my son no consideration at all from the staff..i slipped and fell on the hard wood floor
Bad service first time had blood stains on my sheets walked in also with bed not even made also two times ive came asked for a roll away bed and promised one and one lady just said there was none and after shift vhange i asked again there was one the whole time smh second time not even one I repeatly atressed there be one and again not one bad serbice and lazy workers
And here to stay a night and got in room 218 and ordered pizza and looked to my left of bed and had bed bugs next to me !!! So went downstairs, and the office lady gave me room 109 and here was roaches crawling on wall!!!!wth!!!! Won’t be here any more , rather pay more at hotel and get better!!!!!
Was over charged said would get credit still have not was checked into a never cleaned room and was totaly nasty sent follow up email to only recieve a computer generated responce still totaly disappointed i have pics if the filth but ofcourse no ware to post then in this review but any want to see them please contact me

2022-04-30This place has the nicest staff. But the facility needs some work. The odor and quality of the furniture is subpar and should be addressed. I know there is more they could possibly do to make the rooms feel more inviting. I loved the front desk experience but the room was not what I expected.

2022-06-23This is the most disgusting hotel I have ever seen. The carpets were as old as the building along with the bedding that contained multiple burn holes and a layer of what looked like human hair. To be honest I was terrified to even pull the cover down to see the sheets. The entire room was very dimly lit and tje large white light in the room was stained yellow. When you actually took a second to look around (honestly I wish I was blind) there were spills and food all over the wall. Above the bed the walls had hand prints on it and looked like it was wiped with a dirty rag. When I attempted to turn on the air conditioning to circulate some breathable air I was faced with a large bug Carcass. When I entered the bathroom ( poor mistake) the toilet was FILTHY and I knew I would never shower there because the odds that cockroaches would greet my feet were high. Overall in the short minutes I stayed in the room I began to itch and had to run to the safety of my car. Highly do not recommend, search the surrounding hotels.

2022-02-02We were there for two days and the staff was (as always) extremely nice. However our rooms were not serviced during our stay in that our bedsheets werent changed; trash was not emptied and i saw roaches in our shower. We were also awakened during the night with the sound of banging noises that appeared to be coming from the top floor. Sounded as if some type of repair work was being done. Needless to say we did not receive a good nights rest. I would like a refund

2022-05-10I like this place , I stay here all the time . They do have some maintenance issues but they are fixing them . Front desk staff is nice and bed is comfortable. Very clean rooms . They are low on towels so bring your own and bring a extra pillow. But over all I like this place . Pool is very small so don’t come for the pool .

2022-06-26First time I stayed here I ran In to flood waters and could make it the 20 miles to home the water wad knee high in the lobby but they made sure I was given a dry room and nice place I could relax till the waters subsided some several hours later. Staff was still friendly as they adapted and overcame the challenges presented I found that to be pretty commendable 5 stars for sure and the price wasnt bad either rooms were nice and clean youd of never knew anything out of the norm was going on till you looked out the window

2021-06-06Was very disappointed. It took moving to 3 different rooms before we found one halfway decent to stay in. Rooms are cleaned once a week. We had to change our own linen, by stripping the bed and taking it down to the laundry room. We had to clean the bathroom, sweep the floors and take the trash and drop off in a garbage shoot. First room had red stains in the comforter, dead bugs in shower, the second room the walls were filthy, the floors had not been vacuumed, the curtains were torn down from the windows. We had booked through Priceline before we arrived therefore the room was none refundable. We had stayed here before a few years before and it was very nice. Now they say its under new management. We wont be staying there again.

2021-06-02Positive: When we checked in the girl at the front desk was very welcoming and polite. She has excellent customer service. The line was long and she still treated every customer the same during their check in process. Negative: The room wasn¿t cleaned very well. Our sheets had blood stains on them. There was still hair in the shower from the previous guests. We put towels out like they asked and were never brought new ones.
