I havent been to the movies in so long. But I decided to venture out and see a movie with my Mom yesterday. Two super friendly people met me at the consession stand with waves and pleasant greetings. This is an Austin oldie but goodie. Support them and the people who are working there. No, it doesnt have the fancy upgrades, but it felt like going to the movies when I was in high school. I loved the movie but I loved the atmosphere even more!
The guys were fun to talk with before the show! I love that we had a hotdog, nachos, popcorn 🍿 and sodas. This was fun after driving so far, so late to see Johnny Depp in Minnamata!!! Awesome movie by the way. Make sure to take tissues or youll get popcorn salt in your eyes! 😁
Great Theaters. Good seats and for my own personal experience great staff. The screen itself was of fine enough quality to enjoy the movie. But I most often see movies in Imax so Im a bit spoiled. The bathrooms were very clean. Sadly the TP was terribly low quality. Falling apart. Splitting in two. I know I go there for the movies. But its nice to know if you gotta?? You can haha.Overall a great experience regardless.Couldnt hear noise from neighboring Theater showings.Clean seats and floorsGood quality screenGood staffFood prices...ehhh pretty high lol(Bring a purse if you get me haha)
The staff here is just super and so knowledgeable. I think they must watch the movies. The young man I bought a ticket from was able to give me a synopsis and help me make a choice. Also, I thought all movie theatre popcorn was the same, but here it is actually better. Every kernel was popped, it was fresh and they layered the butter for me. So happy to be back at the movie theatre in the cool AC escaping the Austin heat.
1st time in a Movie theatre in about a year. Always liked the Arbor for hosting a variety of films, although in the past the Theatre temperature was always way too cold... this time it was tolerable. What turned out to be intolerable was the lack of separation of seating the moviegoers. Advertised as providing safe separation... it was NOT the result I found myself in. Went with a friend, found our seats easily in the middle part of the middle seating section. Directly behind us was seated 3-4 people. We considered moving, waiting till after the film began. OK, good idea. Before the film began, and near the end of the Trailers, a group of 3-4 sat down directly in front of us. Please understand.... this theater #8 was not nearly full. There was plenty of room to seat patrons as the Ad stated: Socially Distanced.Consequently, once the main film began, we moved ourselves to a more sensible social distance. It was clear that the Arbor was not standing behind their online offer of Social Distancing. Be advised and come prepared if you visit this Theater anytime soon. One last note: The film was excellent, and as many Reviewers have noted: Its a better Film than the original...worth seeing.
The Regal Arbor @ Great Hills used to be a nice art house type cinema (saw many interesting foreign and independent films here over the years that still bring fond memories to mind). It was always a breath of fresh air to know there was one cinema in Austin that played off-the-beaten path movies. But lately, as of late 2020 they are now showing the same Hollywood dribble as all other Cinemark theaters.
The place was clean, staff was friendly. The screen, lights and sound were decently calibrated. It was a particularly thin crowd because of the pandemic. On note for pandemic, they did not have seating restrictions and masks were optional, but all employees were masked.
This theater is comfortable, but i wish it would update itself. Had to move because my first seat was lacking an arm rest, drink holder. This theater is one of the few that plays independent movies, so theres that. Their workers are nice and efficient. (I added a star because the theater reached out when they didnt have to do so. They pay attention to details. Cool).
What used to be a state-of-the-art theater, is now running second-run films in this area. I enjoy the comfortable seats, but they dont turn into recliners. I enjoyed the sound and production values which were still very competitive in todays market. So if youre thinking of a place to see a show that youve missed on its first go-round, this is a good spot.
Nice little theater. Its not one of the big chains that serve food and drinks, so there was less distraction during the film. Lobby was open and clean, and had tables to sit at if waiting for friends. The auditorium itself was also very clean and well lit, and the seats were comfortable and in good condition.
My friends and I affectionately refer to this theater as classy arthouse theater, and it always has the best of Independent films. The theater is small, tickets are available online, and concessions are reasonable. There are no reserved seats, and the screens can seem small, even though theyre obviously not. Its an enjoyable experience!
I really enjoy the selection of independent films at this theater and it is only a few miles from my house, plus moviepass is accepted here which is a huge bonus. The only downsides are that the seating is not stadium seating and as a result, I find that I end up moving if someone sits in front of me and I cant see over their head, and the screens are pretty small compared to newer theaters, the sound has been good quality in my experience though despite other reviews.I will keep coming back for the great selection of films, the proximity to my house, and the friendly staff!
LOVE it!!! Yes, as per the one comment, this is a bit old school theatre but I really love it because: 1) They give you points for FREE movies, items, refreshments if you join the Regal Club (it is free) 2) They show a lot of Independent movies no one else shows. I love INDY movies! 3) They hire the handicapped 4) the theatre is clean, friendly folks 5) they serve beer, wine and a few healthier food/snack options in addition to the usual movie fare 5) It is never too crowded 6) It is pretty close to where I live 7) Convenient to Thai food next door, PF Changs across the street and Manuels Mexican food next door as well as many other nearby restaurants
Great intimate feel to this moviehouse a bistro like interior greets you as thou enter with tables to sit and talk instead puff trooping into a dark room. Indie films for the most part on the menu and its a great peace to watch them. Check it out. Our needs to remain there.
Its a typical movie theater with nothing extra. The theaters are outdated and dirty. The staff is nice. The only reason I wouldnt give this theater a two star review, is because it was one of the few theaters in town showing a niche film I wanted to see. While its nowhere near as good as the Alamo Draft house experience, you might be able to see something less common here.
More independent films than other theaters, beer and cocktails, free/discounted popcorn with loyalty club, and very friendly staff. Conversely never really crowded, there are almost always good seats available before the film begins. Ive seen maybe 40-50 films there, its always the first theater I check when looking for something to watch.
Traditional movie theater. Love that they offer other movies like documentaries that the bigger theaters do not carry. Watched Eating Animals. Food was expensive as most theaters are. Seats are not comfy luke the newer theaters, but great traditional feel. Friendly staff.
This theater is excellent because you can see all the indie pics, and its rarely crowded on weekdays. The popcorn is excellent, but its overpriced, as you would expect. Very easy to sneak in beers, candy, etc, if youre willing to bring a big enough purse.Unlike the Regal Gateway theater, people who come to this one have better manners, meaning they dont talk during the films. The only negative about this theater is that the screens are fairly small, and their equipment really should be updated.
Ive been coming to this theater for over 10 years now, and I highly recommend it. Ive never had a problem with the staff, even if its a totally new crew, theyve always been super friendly and accommodating. If you like indie, art house or foreign, this is the place. This is not a giant megaplex showing the latest Hollywood regurgitations, nor does it have a bar or serve you food in the theater. Instead, this place has character and soul, and like others have mentioned one can always find a seat and they offer all the other refreshments including alcohol that you can get anywhere else. Ill probably come here until this place vaporizes or I do, whichever comes first.
A great movie theater, the only Regal theater in Texas which is dedicated to showing alternative, independent films, foreign films & restored classics. Staff are gracious & profesional. It is very clean & well maintained. There is cafe seating for guests between films.
The audio in the theater I was in was pretty abysmal. It was too quite and the high frequencies seemed to get cut off making dialogue very difficult to understand. The lights were also left on making it difficult to see the screen. Other reviewers mention the audio so Im pretty sure this isnt just a one time thing. Acceptable audio shouldnt be too much to ask, Id avoid this theater.
Everything that is decided by and in the control of the employees and managers of this theater is perfect. Any problems are the fault of corporate - prices, seats, etc. Obviously the main attraction here is the fact that they show the movies that dont get a wide release. If a movie doesnt get a wide release, then that means it wasnt made solely for the box office money. If it wasnt made for the money, that means it was made for the story. If it was made for the story, then it has a higher chance of being a great film. Come here.If you dont want to pay for ridiculously priced junk food, dont.
Saw a Fathom Event at this theater. Not reserved seating and old style seats (no recline and no back movement). Theater room was a bit dirty, but thought the waiting area was super cute with tables and chairs. Typical food and drinks available, and had Starbucks beverages. Helpful staff too.
I love that they generally have indie/art house movies as opposed to popular block busters. However, on most occasions, usually on a weekday afternoon, people rudely talk throughout the movie. Ive changed seats to get away from conversations that go on intermittently during the entire movie. Its so distracting, and has ruined several movie experiences for me. Maybe management could keep a closer eye on this and help reduce this aggravation. Other than that, I enjoy the variety of movies shown there.
Cozy little theater that runs mostly indie and limited release films. Enjoyed many movies here using Moviepass (before the MP crash). The staff is friendly and the place is clean. While there is no stadium-style seating, the screens are high up enough that someone in front shouldn’t block your view.
You now have to buy your ticket at the concession counter. Good for sav8 them money, I suppose, but it sometimes forces people who cant afford the expensive concessions to wait in a long line. Also, I saw a trailer here Is seen elsewhere and it looked dimmer and washed out. Old projection bulb?
Love having The Arbor theatre to see movies seldom carried by anyone else. I love it’s convenient location and that it is close to shopping and restaurants I like. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the popcorn fresh. There are the usual crazy prices for popcorn, drinks, candy etc. but that is true everywhere.
This theatre often shows films that no one else has. Their snacks are expensive like most theaters but you have a more respectable audience most of the time. Their staff here is probably the best compared to any theatre in the country. They often have a warm greeter at the front door checking tickets. Their employees must enjoy their work.
I have been to this theater many times and been very satisfied. Last night however, we went to a 9:50p movie and the concession staff was less than congenial. They were obviously ready to go home and not centered on customer needs. I came out at 10:30 to purchase additional items and the guy behind the counter said to me, We are closed! Unacceptable.
Although not having had the opportunity to visit this Regal Theater, I am considering a visit, as new release movies are being shown NOT available in San Antonio. Due to some of the less-than-favorable comments of your patrons, I felt led to remind some one should be THANKFUL of your opportunities. YOU have access to the newest, cutting-edge movies, not always appealing to main-line audiences. Be thankful for what you have available in your backyard!
Consistently great selection of films, better curated than the Alamo, but the sound/acoustics have been atrocious on my visits. Im not sure if its poor luck, but I saw My Friend Dahmer sometime in the winter and the audio in the theater was muffled and extremely quiet, to the point that some dialogue was very difficult to understand. Tonight, I saw Isle of Dogs and the same terrible audio experience. Very quiet and it sounded like the speakers were in the adjacent theater and I was unsure if some whispered dialog was even meant to be understood by the viewers. For what its worth, tonight I was in theater #4. Please fix the audio issues, I dont think Ill be making the drive out if it continues. 2 medium sodas and a medium popcorn was $21.
Went yesterday and for sure will never come back. Very overpriced place for the quality of the movie theater, it is pretty much flat and seats are aligned and not alternated as it should be, so if a tall person seats in front of you good luck. Also paid over 7 dollars for just the smallest bag of popcorn, outrageous, better sneak your own food if you dont want to pay over 50 bucks for just two persons.
I love this theatre and Brenda, DAHLING, for the most part but I find the visual quality frustrating. Almost every film we see there seems darkly lit in need of a bigger bulb in the projectors. Only theatre 7 seems adequate. . Surely every film was not made to look candle lit. Plainly its difficult to see even outdoor daylight shots with any bright clarity.
Yes its one of the few places in Austin that shows indie flicks but its a very old theater. The screen, projector, and sound system is extremely outdated. The seats are showing their age and the arrangement allows one to see the back of peoples heads too easily. Its a shame a city like Austin doesnt have a better experience for indie films. I really wish they would renovate. I only come here if no one else close by is showing a particular film.
Depending on your kind of theater, this particular one is not best for a movie date night and a bottle of wine. They are over extremely stringent with their booze policy and require 1 ID and a WRISTBAND per person per drink. This means in order to grab a drink while watching the movie, we each had to leave the theater to grab the drink at the counter, show our ID and have our wristbands marked (3 drink maximum). This seems a little much when there are a multitude of other theaters in the area that cater to this kind of date night! And to boot, the seats are just okay. I’d only go through all of that for reclining seats and a blanket!
While pretty pedestrian in its amenities, the selection of films screened at this theater is pretty wonderful for anyone with even the tiniest cinephile tendencies. Lots of limited release and indie films hit this theater and not many others in Central Texas. As another reviewer pointed out, theres no feeling of pretentiousness here, and often the crowds are comprised of quite a bit older folk. As an aside, Im a bit embarrassed about the number of times Ive been to this theater without being a Regal rewards program member.
The place is nice looking and the staff are friendly, but the theater itself needs updating. The seats are old and not very comfortable, and both times Ive been here the theaters have this really damp, musty smell - really reminds me of being inside a cavern - that is very unpleasant and distracting
I go to Regal about once a week! The movies are great, as well as every person who works there! But I was disappointed when I got back in the country recently and saw that the tickets had gone up to over $9. (Its putting a strain on my Jr Mint budget!) Im a Senior and thats putting a crunch on my afternoon movie delight. Im looking around at prices around town now. I cant help but think more people would come if prices were better! Both my daughters worked at the Regal as teenagers, so its kind of a family affair! Thanks for the tradition!
My favorite cinema in all of Austin! Never too crowded, great films, across the street from Trader Joes. What more could you want? Sad thing is that the lease is up next year, and theyre thinking about demolitioning the place to make room for more condos in its place...like we need anymore. UGH
This theater is of interest because it regularly screens independent films, documentaries, and other more artistic movies that arent blockbuster enough to make it to the bigger cinemas. Thats a very good thing—depending on the film, of course. I took my dear companion to see Tully, an indie movie that was listed online as a comedy but turned out to be the most depressing movie since Schindlers List. It was even certified fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, but I hereby certify that it was certifiably rotten. We left less than half-way through the movie, though, so perhaps Im not qualified to criticize. No, screw that, I am quailfied to comment, and Tully totally sucks. You definitely dont want to take your old lady to see this movie on date night—after watching Charlize Theron play miserable mother of three, shed never sleep with you again, maybe even go full-blown lesbian on you. Anyway, the real reason Im writing this review is because, although the experience of this particular movie sucked so incredibly hard, I sincerely appreciate how management handled the winter of our discontent. I asked for a refund on the way out and Mr. Manager was perfectly sympathetic and made it very easy for me to recover the $25 I otherwise would have wasted on the worst movie since Schindlers List. JK: Schindlers List is a good film and would have been way more appropriate for an easy-going date night—I might have even got laid that night. JK.
Youll find movies here that are most difficult to find elsewhere. And they show many first run movies as well. Prices for drinks, etc are high, but no higher than they are at most other theaters. Seating is first come, first serve, which I prefer, rather that the new thing of choosing your seat on a chart beforehand. I like to sit close to feel like Im in the movie, with no heads to distract. But one can never be quite sure exactly where one is going to be sitting by looking at a chart on a computer. So I prefer The Arbors old timey first come, first serve method.Beware of parking issues on Friday and Saturday nights. Ive had to give up twice for lack of a parking spot. But the last movie of the night is fantastic. Its almost like you have your own private screening!Word has it that this entire area is going to be torn down and replaced. I surely hope the Arbor survives. Its an Austin treasure. My sister lives near Tampa, Florida, and the closest indie theater is 2 hours away! The Arbor should be treasured, especially by movie lovers. Lets hope the developers have some artistic film sense and arent purely driven by the almighty dollar. The Arbor deserves to live!!!
This is one of the best places to watch independent films that cant be found at the local cineplex. The seats are a bit uncomfortable compared to all the new theaters. The location is great with ample parking compared to the other theater downtown that shows similar films.
While its obviously no Alamo Drafthouse or Violet Crown Cinema, this is my go-to theater for delayed movie viewings and random independent screenings. Its worth joining the Regal rewards program so you can get free tickets/snacks for your loyalty. None of the theaters are stadium seating but they rarely fill up so it hardly matters. Be warned that the matinees are often swarming with elderly patrons, so consider showing up a bit early to get a more centered seat.
I just moved to the Cedar Park area and I’ve been to 4 theatres and this one was the worst one. The screen is smaller. The auditorium seating is outdated. Concessions is over priced. Tickets are especially overpriced. The only reason it gets one star is because it sometimes gets the movies I want to see a week early. However, now I’ve been here, I’d rather wait a week or drive a few extra miles to see any movie elsewhere.
HORRIBLE. Crickets were EVERYWHERE. Parking lot, walking up to the theater, inside the lobby area, inside the theater itself, inside the BATHROOM. You could not walk into or out of the theater without stepping on crickets or having crickets jump across you as you walked. No wonder why there was no one else in the theater for a premiere movie..they all were smart enough to walk out because the crickets were making noise the entire time! Absolutely do not go here. Repulsive.
In the last quiet, serious 20 minutes of the movie, it sounded like happy hour showed up at the back door. The waiting crowd outside the doors was more audible than the movie. Ruined the ending. I spoke to manager & he acknowledged some people do complain but, meh. He didnt seem to care much.
The good: this theater offers indie/arthouse films in a a clean, tranquil comfortable setting, convenient times and seldom crowded. The bad: Was shocked to find that their newly available wine and beer is insanely expensive and require ridiculous hoop-jumping; yes, even 60+ must show ID, you must put on a wrist band, and if you are purchasing a second glass for someone else, you must make two separate trips, two separate purchases. A stingy cup of chardonnay costs $12.98. Lesson learned: will NEVER purchase concessions here. Wont get fooled again!
The consession rocks. The candied almonds are so good. They also have coffee drinks. Place is clean seats are good. Only problem is they put the screens up very high. I have never been to a theater where the screens start at the ceeling. You have to look up at screen.
Always love the Arbor Theater! Great movies that feed the soul. It is a shame that New Austin decided the property was underutilized. Some developer bought the property and will tear down the theater to build a 400+ apartment building. Go watch a movie at the Arbor while you still can!
POOR PROJECTION QUALITY: We saw Moonlight at the Arbor on 11-6-16. It was difficult to view the film because the projector light was so low. We complained to staff who said there was nothing they could do. The following Friday we again saw the film at the Violet Crown Cinema where the light quality was excellent and we enjoyed the film. Theater companies are saving money by using lower wattage projection bulbs. This will cost them patrons.
Usually Alamo Draft House gets the popular vote on best theater in Austin however the Regal Arbor 8 at Great Hills wins on a note vote. This is THE place to see independent movies in Austin. Most of the time you can show up 10 minutes before a movie and not worry about if you will have to sit in the front row, its usually not crowded except for peak times on the weekends. Its located in the Arboretum area so there are plenty of places to go before or after the movies. If you dont quite feel like dealing with the crowds of Alamo, come see something different at Regal Arbor 8.
I have always been very pleased with the selection of films, customer service, and concessions at this theater. However, every time Ive been to Arbor 8, Ive noticed the film is under projected (waaayyy too dark) and the sound very low, rendering many scenes almost inaudible. Many other customers have brought up these issues, and yet the theater has failed to make the slightest move to correct obvious flaws in their film exhibition. This is not only a disservice to the customers, but an insult to the filmmakers whove worked hard to make their films, only to have them carelessly projected.
Excellent selection of intellectual movies. Like all Arbor theaters, sadly, the up-selling is obnoxious, from buying tickets to buying popcorn, that I will only go there if a film is at no other location. When people want to buy tickets, sell them tickets and dont ask to donate for a cause Arbor will take full credit, for $X more. This is often duplicated when buying food. If I want a small drink, dont ask me if I want a large drink for $x more….and then a large popcorn for $Y more…then candy for $Z more…then donating to a cause for Arbors recognition.
The movie theater had old school style seats that dont even lean back (let alone the new ones that recline and let you put your feet up). Theres no automated ticket machine, so you literally have to stand in line at the ticket window. And the concessions as well as the ticket prices were just as expensive as the movie theaters that have all the luxuries.
Regal is a good name cause youd have to be a king to afford this place. Its been a few years now, but I went once and never went back after seeing their concession prices. Im remember popcorn in the $12 range and a large drink like 8$...something outlandish. Why would I waste that money here instead of using it at Alamo Drafthouse or Movie House?
The person taking the tickets was nice but the person who took our order was in a bad mood and rude.. When he gave us the hotdog he tossed it (not gently) on the counter.. We just privately laughed and made a joke to ourselves that he thought the hotdog was a football at the end zone. When I went back to order something else, there he was again annoyed with a bad attitude.. I didnt made a fuss about it because we were just going to enjoy our evening.. Everyone has bad days but if your in customer service dont taking out on the customers..
Though I usually like this theater, I am boycotting them for at least the next six months, as are many others. Arbor Cinema is participating in showing a pro-Trump, pre-midterms-timed, political brainwashing film that promotes right-wing religious supremacist prophecy. Shame on you for promoting such garbage! If enough of us boycott, perhaps Arbor Cinema and Fathom Events will reconsider this film. Money talks! Arbor Cinema wont be getting my money! They could use their venue to promote films that improve our community rather than spread hate and lies.
This is the only theater in N Austin where I can see truly thought-provoking, intelligent, and engaging indie films. Soo done with lame, mainstream superhero franchise money flicks that are being made nowadays. When I go to Regal 8, I dont have to leave my brain behind in the car.
This is the only ArtHouse movie theater I know of on the Northside, near the Arboretum/Domain.Typical theater food fare, though they try and class it up with little bistro tables in the lobby. Definite food highlight is the roasted cinnasugar almonds or pecans. You pay reg movie tix prices here, but they have a free rewards program you can sign up for to earn popcorn/soda & discount kickbacks. The seats arent particularly comfortable and you can tell the theater is in need of a facelift, but until something better comes along that offers indie film scene viewings or the price of gas goes down so the drive to Violet Crown isnt such a punch in the wallet; this will do, Pig, this will do.
Once youve been to the Almo, there is no going back. We have gone only once, to see Finding Dori, and will never return. There was talking and cell phone usage during the movie. People were chomping on popcorn and being rude. The chairs are uncomfortable and the place is overall dirty.
Went in. Paid 18 bucks for a tub of popcorn, a soda, and a bottled water. Popcorn was stale in the first batch, and the second I made the mistake of having butter put on it. Ive worked in a restaurant in the past, Ive used imitation butter. This wasnt imitation butter, this was some type of pseudo-canola oil substance that made the popcorn inedible. Did we expect Alamo? No, Alamo is Alamo, but for the amount of money tickets were (same as an Alamo) and the overpriced food even by theater standards, this is a no-go.
Ah Friday, youre finally here. Lets see, I can buckle down and end the week strong working...or I can join my Sr. friends for a nice quiet afternoon watching the latest indy film at the Regal. Work rarely wins this battle. What I like:* The crowd* clean bathrooms* open sitting alwaysWhat I dislike:* that the Regal isnt closer to my house in lakeway. Even so, the drive is often worth it for the rare and diverse films
What the heck? Is this like, the only place to see actual indie movies in town? I thought that sort of thing was ADHs bread and butter? This cineplex only has sodas, popcorn, candies, hotdogs, and actual amazing movies. What the heck? No wait staff bugging you and running around in the middle of the soon-to-be Oscar-nominated film youre watching? What alternate dimension have I somehow stumbled into? Is this still Austin? I thought mainstream packaged as hip and trendy was the way things were everywhere now. Is this really a decent old-school movie theater that doesnt cost $40 a person, plus tip? What the heck?!
Audio from the movie cut out and house lights came on 5 minutes before the end of the movie. Meanwhile the end of the movie (spoilers!) continued playing without any audio. They fixed the problem by going back 15 or so minutes in the movie, wasting our time. Finally, the same audio cutting out issue occurred again, right before the very last line of the movie was spoken!
Why the good rating? I am not comparing to Alamo. Alamo really is in a different category. The arbor regal cinema replaced the village 4 (now alamo on anderson lane) as the artsy fartsy movie theatre many years ago. It also took the name of the original arbor 4 that was in the arbor shopping center across the street... it was converted into a 7 theater cinema and then into the cheesecake factory. On this most recent visit we saw lincoln ... the tickets were pre-bought online ... and printed out so all we had to is have them scanned where we would have had our ticket torn ... the show was sold out-ish and was in a small auditorium .... the concession service was very friendly with no up-sells ... popcorn was standard ... and we even got Nathans hotdogs ... which were alright but could have used some cheese. All and all a normal movie going experience at a non- Alamo location.

2022-05-02This was my first time ever at this Regal location and the first thing I noticed was the friendly staff, they were very welcoming, courteous and accommodating. They have a fully stocked snack bar with lots of treats and beverages including beer and wine. The theater I was in was large and the climate control was comfortable, not freezing cold like some other theater chains. Seats are very plush but no recline as this is an older venue. Sound and projection were good, no complaints here. Will definitely return.

2022-07-22My favorite theater in Austin. I think because it’s so small and unassuming, and in a “non-hip” part of town which is getting increasingly rare. Also shows a fun variety of films. Lots of seniors. Has barely changed in the last 20 years I’ve been coming here — which is v comforting if you know this city. Ample parking and walk to Manuel’s for happy hour afterward !

2021-10-09Honestly when I say Regal Cinema you can already picture what to expect in your head. One day well look back on movie theaters like this one and be nostalgic for it. I hadnt been in a Regal since being a teenager and definitely got a touch of that nostalgia when I came in. While the outside isnt particularly impressive, the inside was clean and well-lit if not particularly inspiring. But, again, it is what it is. Boomers were everywhere, wandering around and seemingly walking into random theaters. The particularly chatty people working concessions (which doubles as a ticket booth, I guess) combined with the aforementioned boomers stretches out the wait time for your standard overpriced fair but its fine. Honestly, I bumped up this score an entire star because nobody talked during the screening of Lamb I attended! Shouout to them!

2022-03-17Typical Cinema experience.Friendly staff, clean premises, fresh food. My only real negative was the staff were slow to serve the people waiting in line, lots of people running around but not serving customers...It was a very quiet night too, only four of us in the particular Cinema to watch the movie.

2022-06-29Regal Arbor shows a ton of indie film and I really value them for that. I recently saw a movie there and appreciate the intimacy of the theater. My only hope is that over time they might offer additional food offerings and improve the seats.

2022-04-09In my opinion, the movie theater industry is losing crazy money from the pre-2019 physical moviegoer. This particular movie theater stands to lose even more money. For starters, they have no box office; you are expected to check in at the concession counter. If you dont, you can just walk in and sit down to the movie of your choice because they have no one overseeing traffic or checking for a ticket. Technically, it wouldnt be your choice because the auditoriums were in no way labeled with the movie information. If you tell me that information was available through my Fandango app, which I did use to procure my tickets, youd be incorrect because the theater changed that information which did not relay to the app.The theater and restrooms were clean, hence the second star. Doesnt seem like much of experience as it was 10-20 years ago.

2022-07-31Ok. This place is not aging well. The movie, seating and temperature were fine but a fresh up is long overdue

2018-07-05Just went to see First Reformed with Ethan Hawke. Very clean and well taken care of. Fresh popcorn..no lines. They play some of the older movies or movies that dont come out at the other theatres, which is kind of nice. Alma was attending the concession stand and was very courteous and professional. Went for my sons 17th birthday...Regal did not disappoint!
