All the employees are very polite & helpful (except for Lisa in the warranty department) everyone else went above and beyond to make sure we got in a good reliable vehicle asap. I got a 2015 Chevy Equinox!!! That I really love... so do the husband and kids. (Lisa talked to me like I was not a human being!!) Thank you, God Bless
Was told to give a deposit down (over the phone, not on paper, wasn’t given details) on a used truck that I wanted to buy. The salesman, David, told me that I would have 7 days to get the truck once the 250 dollar down payment was placed, and that the money would also be used to help on the main down payment. I drive well over 2 hours to sit there for another 4 and a half for them to tell me I am unable to get this truck, and proceed to show me another truck that was no where near what I wanted. After the waste of time, I check the website the very next day for it to tell me the vehicle was sold and I call to ask for the 250 back, because of the agreement it should’ve sat on the lot for 7 days, it sat for 4 and sold. They did not allow me to have that deposit back. Classic used car dealership. Check the reviews before you make the drive.
Beware, this place doesnt honor the prices on THEIR OWN WEBSITE!!!!They will tack on a market adjustment of $3,000+ out of the blue. Then try to lie and say it is a delivery fee. Truth is, they are price gouging with hidden upcharges. They even acknowledged the price on their website wouldnt be honored!!!
Salesman Kenny Schaefer was extremely helpful and kind. He listened to our needs and the first vehicle we looked at met our needs and was within the price range we needed. The finance manager helped us tremendously finding the right loan company to fit our needs and our budget. We are thankful for our experience all around.
(2-18-20) Update i still not have not received my truck back from Reliance. I have filed a claim through the BBB(almost 2 weeks ago), and was contacted by GM about the case i filed.I have yet to hear back from the deaIer. This is the absolutely worst experience i have had with service dept.)I took my truck to Reliance service dept september the 28th 2019 for warranty work on the oil pump. It is now January the 10th 2020 and i still do not have my 2019 GMC denali back. Early December i received a call that they had crushed my cab on the lift!! Damage is done on both sides of cab. The Department as a whole are not capable of properly preforming their duties! STAY AWAY!!!
My truck wasnt running, took it there. Took 2 weeks to hear from them, they said it would cost more then the trucks worth to fix it. Picked my truck up and looked at it with some friends, found the problem. put in a new BCM and computer. Worked fine ever since. Total $240. So much for cost more then its worth.
Overall, our experience at Reliance Chevrolet was a very pleasant and professional one. The salesman was dynamic, and his manager was very informative and friendly. The most pleasant vehicle purchase we have ever made. The financial manager was also very pleasant to work with. Thank you Reliance for making our buying experience a great day!The service/parts department was very helpful and pleasant also.
I was extremely excited to find that this dealership had the truck of my dreams. I live 12 hours away, so I had to get a plane ticket to Houston and a $108 lyft ride to reach Bay City. Before arriving, David Zach (car salesman) worked and communicated really well with me and had me believing the truck was in tip-top shape. They had two weeks to prepare the truck for my arrival. Once I received the truck, it became clear that the oil was never changed, wind-shield wiper fluid was empty, the truck was not detailed, the windshield has a crack, the truck has a major paint scratch, the entire bottom-side has minimal rust, and the engine bay was covered in cobwebs. This dealership took 0 time to make sure this truck was prepared for the customer that had made the deal and traveled a far distance for their dealership. Since making this buy, I have tried contacting David and he hasn’t communicated back in any form. I recommend finding a dealership with honest and trustworthy salesman that are worth your time and money.
Amazing dealership! Great customer service. I sent a message to Dave after closing and he responded right away with all the information I needed and 1 day later I was driving home in my new car. They did all the paperwork In advance so I was only there for like 30 minutes. Id give 10 stars if I could. Special shout-out to Dave!!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!Talked to “DAVID” Friday evening about a vehicle posted on car guru, pictures show some stains on the seats and when I asked about it he said the car had been detailed and should no longer have any stains. When I get there the next morning after driving 3.5 hours the vehicle still had the stains and more flaws that were not visible in the pictures. Regardless of all that still I tried to purchase the vehicle without a complain. The funny thing here is that “ David” would not sell me the vehicle at the price advertised unless I financed with their bank, which had a ridiculous interest rate, double what my bank had already approved me for. So in other words if I wanted to use my bank and get my low interest rate, they were going to raise the purchase price to $2000 more. I had never heard of such thing so of course I did not agree with that and left.
Had a great experience with Reliance as an out of state buyer that never had to set foot on the dealership lot. AJ and Danny both did an excellent job of making the remote car purchasing process very easy and efficient. Would recommend to anyone in the area, or from afar!
If possible stay away from dealing with this place! I worked with Tony, who entirely took much time repeating hisself and then going back and forth with me. After they weren’t able to find financing for me, I called with my own financing which required me to provide documents from the dealer. He refused to provide me with the documents for me to provide my bank and refused to provide me with the tt&l amount and total cost of the vehicle. I requested to speak with his manager and an hour later Tony calls and says the vehicle is sold. The vehicle pictures on the website showed the vehicle very dirty inside and after reading other reviews I’m thankful I dodged the bullet of buying through them and being able to take my business elsewhere.
Took almost a week to get truck back. They did not even clean the inside of windshield which had dirty fingerprints all over it, from removing and reinstalling the dash. The front driver’s side fender had white paint smeared across it. The service writer removed the white paint, which revealed scratches. The infotainment touch screen now does crazy things, switches screens for now reason. Not very happy to say the least.
I had bad tires on my new Malibu, 2019 8K miles, I took my car in due to steering wheel wobble and vibration at specific speeds to my local Pearland Bayway Chevy. They diagnosed the problems with the dynamic balance over 20 and said the tires were bad could not fix the issue. They also told me I cannot get them fixed with them and they do not cover tire warranty. I thought this to be odd so i called the dealer i bought the vehicle from Baycity Reliancde chevy and the nice service manager Charles said he would take care of it. Super job they changed all four tires and runs great. not happy with Pearland dealership service dept old man Joe not willing to make the repairs and help a GM owner out.
BUYERS BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE. Never pay money for deposit to hold a carI spoke with David over the phone on Saturday afternoon and I asked him for a car I saw on autotrader.com . He said to reserve that car I have to deposit 200.00 dollars to prevent the car to be sold I gave him my card number but on Sunday they dont open so on Tuesday we went there early as we said but there the car was not what we expected to see. It was smelling so bad as cigarette and with scratches all over bad job done on the paint. We said we dont like the car right away. So we left and the next day he charged the money. I in the past bought 2 new cars at another big dealer but this car was for my son but believe me I never had a so bad experience as I did in this dealer besides is an hour and a half away they were not totally honest. Please dont go there.
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!Sold me a car that didn’t even work , only made it home & havent used it since. Been giving me the run around about the warranty to get approved, 2 months later they said the warranty didn’t approve the parts of the car!! Now here I am stuck with a car that doesn’t even WORK! Customer service sucks!
Manager is extremely rude and thinks that he is a god among car salesmen. I asked him a price on a truck and he tells me to look it up on my phone. I Truly appreciate the salesperson that I was dealing with and felt sorry that he has to work for a person that is so self centered and unprofessional. ***9/26/2020 update i was just contacted by the salesman Tony and was threatened that they would give me a negative review on my business because I have given them this negative review. Just to state the record I went there as a customer not a business or for my business.I have the mindset to call the better business bureau and the chamber of commerce to inform them if their business tactics. *** This was on the ram side but it is the same business.
Worst experience I have ever had! Went in to discuss numbers on a vehicle and had my credit pulled WITHOUT my consent and I told them countless times not to pull it. Then they had the audacity to tell me they cant tell me my credit score. Randy obviously doesnt know how to do his job.
I Now understand why they are at 3.5 at best. It took me almost 48 hours to get the bottom line numbers on the truck that I was looking for .(Keep in mind, I do this for a living as well , just to reduce the traditional back and forth) If you had your stuff together ,this should have been a quick 30 min turn around at most to figure it out at best. Every time it was its going to be around this never the exact just round abouts which I kept asking for a specific number to get to with approved credit of course . But yet again , the run around over and over .At first it was with a internet manager named David then somehow got pushed over to someone else named Jason. I do not understand why a tag team .If you are an internet sales manger you should take care of your leads , if not, then why are you there. We finally agree on numbers and said they will hold it until I get there and guess what Im sorry sir we sold it . They should have gave me first right of refusal or a way to come up with a solution to hold it. These are very antiquated tactics that need to be fine tuned. What an absolute mess of process and lack of coordination with staff.
The GM service manager Randy is unprofessional, a bully, plain out rude, and I now see why people have nothing but bad things to say about your service department. Ive been a loyal customer for years bought several cars from there. I still have no receipt from my car being worked on Monday nor do I know if anything was checked for damage from the leaking battery. My car is only 2 months off the lot brand new. I was only told my battery was leaking acid and it was replaced. No information or acknowledgement that the other components of my engine were okay or that my frame is okay. For all I know, only the battery was even checked. Heck I dont even have proof of that since I have no receipt of the service. I was told one would be mailed or emailed to me. Ive yet to lay eyes on it. Randy is not the person Id place a manager or even just an employee.
I have never had a more professional courteous helpful person assist me with any issue of any kind than the individual that helped me with my recent car repairs. He went above and beyond help me with insurance claim and warranty coverage. His name is David Hill and he is the assistant service manager at Reliance Auto Group in Bay City, Texas.
At the time of purchase we had some issues with the wheels and were told by the salesman that he would take of the problem continues. The problem continue and we never received a response from him so we ended paying for balance and new tires. We also were told they were going to replace the faulty touchscreen and I was told to drive to their service center over hour away to replace it and I was told the part hasnt come in.
Buyer Beware! Misleading business practices ahead. I usually only do reviews when they will be positive and help a business. Unfortunately in this case I have to stray from my usual. We purchased a used vehicle from this dealer for my son. Hidden in the paperwork is a charge for $690.00 for a theft protection plan that was explained by the finance person as a perk and not an added expense. Further I have tried on several attempts to get clarification on what exactly the protection covers and have been told over and over that they will get back with me on clarification as to what I purchased. Making matters even worse is that in the paperwork it says that failure of the selling dealer to send the payment to the issuing institution will void any coverage. If they dont even know what they sold how can I believe that they will be forthcoming and submit the payment.
I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to be greatly taken care of ! I just Bought my second truck 2020 Sierra) from here and Joni Snow and Randy couldn’t Have made it any easier and affordable! Joni was so patient with me and my wife and she definitely went above and beyond to make it happen! Thanks Joni for all your professionalism and and amazing hospitality!! Above 5 stars!
They scam you with $299 without telling you of the shadowmark. It is worthless, nobody tell us of this charge. When we call the dealership after purchase, the manager says it is on all our vehicles. Big scam from dealers. They get commission from this company. The truck was listed for $55.500.00Then we say we gonna pay cash, the sales person David told us we needed to finance the truck or pay extra $2000 more, otherwise we could not buy the truck. Stay away from these scammers.
DO NOT!!I REPEAT DO NOT PURCHASE HERE !!Nothing but crooks and scammersTerrible dealership, terrible customer service and just a over all bad experience . David is the worst sales person there he got me into giving $300 to hold a vehicle and at the last minute changes the deal on me and when I did not except they did not return my money . Tried to speak with management multiple times seems as if they’re in on the whole thing everyone just gave me a big run around until eventually my number was blocked
No sense of customer service. Would never go back here and all GM cars have been blacklisted for our family.** The fact that it took you over two years to reply says enough. I really hope things have turned around and better service is being provided. As for us, this experience soured us so much that we went to Subaru for the last and likely the next car, and wont go back! **
This location is horribly understaffed and undertrained. Brought my Chevy in when the transmission went out while within the warranty period. Reliance couldnt provide a loaner at the time and told me to get a rental, assuring me I would be reimbursed. The staff did not even know Chevys policy for warranty rentals, which would have cost me $800 in rental car fees had I not called Chevy directly. The technicians did not even know my transmission needed replacement for 2 weeks. Then they installed a bad transmission, costing another 2 weeks. A total of 40 days later I had my car back. Do yourself a favor and have your car towed to the Chevy in Angleton... Or even better, dont buy a Chevy.
Horrible internet sales. Internet sales manager is very rude and will lie about the condition of a vehicle even when you tell him its a 2 hour drive. When asked condition of vehicle he sends a picture of a very small rock chip when in fact their is a lot of damage to the car broken light dents Horrible scratches just to mention a few.
BUYERS PLEASE BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!My family was recently in an accident & we needed to purchase another vehicle ASAP! We found what seemed to be a good deal at Reliance Chevrolet Buick GMC (what used to be Don Davis) in Bay City. This has now been the worst experience I have ever had with any dealership. Before purchase, the service tire monitor system light came on & the radio was locked. The console latch was also broken. We were told they would fix these issues and replace the radio. Foolishly, I went ahead, signed the paperwork & took their word, thinking this was a reputable dealership since it carries the Chevy/GM name. When the vehicle was brought around, we noticed they hadnt properly detailed it either. Both the salesman & finance manager apologized and said it would be taken care of. They asked us to bring it back on Wed. We purchased the truck Fri. evening, Jan. 25 .Two days later, Mon. morning, the check engine light came on. Im aware that we purchased the vehicle without warranty but called the dealership to see if there was anything that could be done when we brought it in to have the other problems remedied, as we had only driven it home, then to work Mon. morning. They told us to go ahead & bring it in. We brought the truck in that Mon. Jan. 28 & from that point on weve had nothing but problems. They had the vehicle for over 2 weeks. We called several times to check on the progress & see what was going on & were constantly given the run around. We left messages & NEVER had a call returned. When we finally asked to speak to a manager we were told he was in a meeting. He also NEVER returned our calls. After the first week, my husband went up there & they didnt have anything done. They also didnt even have the service tire monitor system on the work order. My husband reminded them about that and was assured that it was added. The 2nd week when we finally got hold of someone, they said the truck needed a tune up & they wanted $400 to do this. I refused & we wanted to go ahead & just pick the truck up at this point, only to be told the radio still hadnt even come in. In what world does it take 2 weeks for a radio to come in? Theyd had the truck all that time & done absolutely nothing. A few days later, we were told the truck was finally ready but lo and behold when we went to pick it up, the only thing theyd done was put in the radio. They still didnt finish cleaning it out, they didnt fix the console latch, & they didnt do anything about the tire monitor system. To add further insult to injury, the lever that controls the drivers seat is now broken. It was not broken before we brought the truck in. Horrible customer service, terrible communication, and blatant lies is what weve received from the Reliance Chevrolet Dealership. If this is how they conduct business, they shouldnt even be considered an authorized dealer. If I wanted to take my chances with a shady car lot thats what I would have done and probably would have received better service there. If I could give negative stars, I would!
BUYER BEWARE - David and Dealership refused to sell 15 Chevy Traverse as a cash offer. I asked for written policy indicating why they would not sell as a cash sale and they did not produce a written policy. They indicated I was purchasing below advertised price and therefore I was required to go through their financing. The advertised price was $16,800 and I did the math for TT&L and they refused to honor the price I calculated, ~$18,000. Dealership does not show integrity to honor their advertised price. Dont waste your time driving to this dealership.

I did my apoinment on-line, this was good. but in the locatios there a bad organization, first when I arrived they told me if I was a new client, becasuse they didnt have my phone number, that mede feel me bad, becasues I have been client by 3 years, so they scare me, second I give them my contact phone in order to call me back when they finish the service, and they never called me, So, I call them three times, in every call i was wating for a response, but nobody tell me nothing, even one call i was waiting more that 10 minutes, i was really upset. when I went to pick mycar up, the personel were in a discussion.... really bad service.. but is the only one service in Bay City... I will change for a service to a other town.Bad
I live in Temple which is 3 1/2 hours fron Bay City. I found the 2020 Silverado I wanted and calledMichael at Reliance Chevrolet. I was able to agree on aprice for the new vehicle and also the trade price for my car. When got tontje dealership we were only there for 1 hour and on fje road driving back to Temple. We had a great experience and highly recommend this dealership.
Bought car 10/18/18 and on 10/23/18 the car had to be towed to the shop. On 12/22/18 the car finally returned to me, and when I went to leave for work on 12/29/18 the car is doing the same issues... I get the car back thinking it’s fixed, but it isn’t and now I have to fight again with them. I put 6000 down and haven’t even been able to drive my new car a total of 2 weeks since mid October.
Seems like this dealership is more concerned with getting a none refundable deposit from u you than they are about making a sale... David Zach made it clear to me that their banks dont deal with construction workers we are not worth their time I dont think they even had the truck in their Inventory David just kept pushing for a deposit...
Beware this dealership has bad service. They lie and have bad customer service. Three times with wife’s Jeep and heard some bs excuses and my sister just had to go get hers after 5 days and nothing wrong with it. If we wouldn’t have called they would still have our vehicles because they don’t give a status update unless you hound them.
Horrible dealership I bought a used dodge charger from them and its been a horrible experience since the say I took it home! 3 weeks into owning it was in the shop for 2 weeks getting $3500 worth of work and they dont even care to help. Definitely not worth the 90 miles I drove to go get it!!! Dont go here to buy anything just save your time and money
I just bought my new Dodge charger from here and the person who helped me ( Nick ) was awesome I always Chang cars this is the first time that I got really good customer service Nick was really helpful and accommodating .. I recommend this place strongly and Ill definitely will be coming back .
If I could give this place a zero I totally would the owner is a complete coward . He only knows money side and nothing else he is so rude to his employees and treats people bad . This place is so horriable anymore now that the new owner took over . This place going down hill.they can’t keep employees and they lie to their customer. They have a really bad report with many locals as well as other people that know the owner says the same thing he knows nothing about the business and he could care less about his people or customers. People come and go there and their cars stay there for the simple fact the owner lies to his customers to keep the business when really they just don’t have the stuff to fix it. Again I may sau no more with out publicly shaming the company. But wouldn’t go there
Had a terrible experience buying a truck and I knew I shouldnt have gone through with the deal. I didnt want anything aftermarket and Im shocked that the salesman suggested it. Even after I told him I wanted a factory CD player and key fob, I still received the vehicle with aftermarket parts. I wouldnt recommend anyone but a vehicle here.
Told sales mgr exactly what I expected of my buying experience, told him what I wanted to pay, he did exactly that and got me the best interest and price the first time. I didnt have to wheel and deal. No bullshit like most car buying experiences have. Go visit Lance Frick and tell him I sent you. He will hook you up right.
My son had been looking at trucks to buy for weeks...he couldnt find anything that had everything he wanted for the price he had to spend....I gave Joni Snow a call...told her what we wanted and she said she would get right on it...and she did.( I dont play games, if you dont do what you tell me you are going to do, you will not get my business)With in 20 minutes she called us back with a list of trucks that matched what he wanted. He wanted to see one of them, it wasnt on the lot in Bay City. She got the truck her the very next day and it was perfect..my son bought the truck and is very happy with it.Joni was really attentive, she listened to our wants and needs and did what it took to meet those needs. She was beyond great!!
Car dealerships get a bad rap. You always hear about people who go to a dealership and are stalked or harassed: not so here. I found a car advertised online and drove over an hour and a half to see the car (couldnt beat the deal!)Mickey, a wonderful perky and helpful associate, helped guide us through the process and made us feel at home (which when youre buying a car, spending this amount of money and time and effort and the risks involved in any purchase this large, this was a wonderful plus!)She stayed with us through the process, letting us know what was going on, and kept us talking and happy during the times when we had to wait for this or that to finish or process. The process was rounded out by a really great-humored man (who will no doubt be amused that I cant remember his name) who helped us through the final paperwork and payment process. But honestly, every person I saw and spoke to was wonderful so this is a shout out to them all. You can tell they have a great work environment and the people truly enjoy being there. Thanks for making my first car buying experience so easy!
My truck engine light turn on,go there for service, they said i need appointmen for them to check,a month later, they dont even move from desk, not like other dealers u got there and they just plug the computer before even ask u whats wrong,no service at all, sorry for who ever bought a car there
First thing is first, Thank You Jennifer if not for you this would have been a total bad experience. Now if you are a traveler here for work. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! Talk to service manager during the week about and oil change with the fuel filrers as well. Was quoted price and scheduled for everything to be done on Friday morning. Everything went great until bill was served. Thats when the real price hit. The charge was $110 dollars higher than quoted. Service manager stated the price he quoted was just for fuel filters. So after expressing my concern he stated he would drop it $120. My response was that the money isnt the my problem its him being dishonest. After he left the young lady that checked me out, Jennifer was awesone. She was able to find more ways to discount the price. And that is what it is all about. Honesty and great people skills.
I went to the dodge side of don davis dealership to see how much they would offer to buy my vehicle and also told the guy I wanted to get a truck with a certain amount for the payments. He said sure he could help me out. This was not the first time this guy helped me out so I knew I could expect great service. We were going through the process and had me sign a document to see what they could do for me. I SPECIFICALLY TOLD HIM, youre not going to do a hard inquiry on my credit, right? HE TOLD ME NO that it was going to be a soft hit. I said Ok, and told him I did not want a hard hit. I did not end up selling my car and getting a truck cause the number were not right. GUESS WHAT I end up getting a letter from a bank meaning they did A HARD HIT ON my credit. I went online to verify and check my credit and sure enough it was there. I call and spoke with the man at the dealership and told him that he lied to me and that he lowered my credit doing this. He denied he did such a thing. Thanks a lot Tony.
On September 22nd, I took my truck in at 8am to have the transmission checked out for shuttering symptoms that have been getting worse for the past 6 months. At 2:45pm, I received a call from Steven Robles telling me that they could not duplicate the symptoms I explained (which was so frustrating because the shuttering was horrible and happens every time I drive the truck). I had to leave my daughters high school performance to drive my truck with Steven Robles in order for me to prove to them that there’s an issue with the transmission. I left my truck so that he and a tech could run more test, and assured that he would contact me by the end of the day with a conclusion. He did not call so I had to go up to the dealership on Saturday since I didn’t get a call from him, and I needed my vehicle to get to work. I called on Monday 9/25 to set another appointment to have my transmission dismantled to diagnose the problem. The earliest available appointment was October 16th. At 10:17am, I received a voicemail from Steven with no details. At the end of the day, I stopped by the dealership to get an update only to find out that my truck had sat at the dealership all day with absolutely NO progress. I was told that I needed to take my broke down truck, and wait for them to receive transmission fluid. The dealership received the transmission fluid on Wednesday, but Steven failed to contact me to set an appointment. I had to call and ask why I hadn’t been contacted, since I had been dealing with Don Davis’s incompetence for almost a month now. I finally was able to get my truck in on Tuesday 10/24, but on the drive to the dealership I noticed the check engine light illuminated. When I dropped my truck off, I asked Steven to run a diagnostic on the check engine which he refused to do so. I was contacted by Steven Tuesday afternoon to be told the transmission fluid had been changed, but needed to run a diagnostic check Wednesday morning. This made no sense at all since I dropped the vehicle off on Monday. Why wasn’t the diagnostic check done first thing Tuesday morning???? Needless to say, I’m still driving a broke down truck since they do not have the necessary parts to fix my 2017 6.2 Chevrolet High Country truck that I paid over $56K for. I’m sure they couldn’t care less since they aren’t the ones having to deal with not having a vehicle, but it has now taken over a month and still I’m waiting on Don Davis Bay City to get their **** together. I have purchased 8 new vehicle from Don Davis, and I feel that this truck will be my last.MOST FRUSTRATED LOYAL CUSTOMER,David Zepeda
Bought a car here in 2013. Once I signed the seller couldnt have cared less about me or my car. Finally getting my plates was like pulling teeth. Now I am trying to retrieve warranty information regarding my car (partly my fault for losing most of my documentation during the hurricane) and they just ghost me each time. Ive inquired through every single channel with this place. So, please be cognizant of this before buying a car here. They just want commission, the customer service after the sell is appalling and hardly existent.
I have bought several vehicles there over the years and the sales staff is OK, but the Service Department is where the problems are. I just needed some information on a Tonneau cover they put on a new truck we bought there about 6 years ago (they gave me no paperwork on it at the time), and they were no help. Just the latest in dealing with them... The Only reason they stay in business is that they are the Only new car dealership in Bay City, TX! We purchased our latest truck in Lake Jackson where we have had no problems with their Service Department in the last couple of years.
SLOW SERVICE & UNRESPONSIVE. My new Corvette is over heating. Its an irritation in itself because a new car, much less a luxury car, shouldnt be overheating. But my real beef is that for 2 WEEKS I have been trying to get my car in to get fixed. I have emailed, called, etc. They keep responding once they get a loaner car for me, I can bring it in. But, REALLY? TWO WEEKS? I get that its warranty work and therefore not important to them, but tomorrow I get to make a 600 mile trip out of town for work limping around on the cusp of overheating. And three days ago when I started leaving messages about my impending predicament a return phone call would have been appropriate. NOT HAPPY with Chevrolet products OR their customer service!!!!!!!!
After what I have experienced with a worker named Joe, I will not be leasing a car from Don Davis. A worker reflects the company he/she is employed by and after having an interesting encounter with Joe, I now understand the company and if they do not care what their employees do while on the clock then I can only imagine how things are inside Don Davis here in Bay City. I dont understand how they let there employees go grocery shopping at HEB or Walmart for personal needs while being on the companies clock. If this man was wearing my companys name on his shirt, I guarantee he will be showing respect to my company while wearing it.
Exceptional customer service and a large inventory to choose from! AJ and Randy made our transition into a new vehicle a smooth process. In addition, gave us the best financial and vehicle options that fit our family needs. We absolutely love our new vehicle! Not all dealerships give you an experience worth coming back. However, Reliance gave us top-notch service and we plan on returning back in the future. I highly recommend this dealership!
My experience at Reliance is one that will have me coming back for my next vehicle. Reliance had a vehicle in stock that I was interested in, and after speaking with Salesman James Dunn over the phone, I felt extremely comfortable with both him and the dealership, and I drove to Bay City from Oklahoma City to buy the truck. James made everything smooth and seamless, and facilitated the sale across state lines without allowing it to hassle me at all. I was well taken care of, was treated respectfully, fairly, and promptly, and got a great deal on the truck to boot. James encourages people to come to Reliance for a Deal Dunn Right - as a more than satisfied customer, I can attest, its not just his catchphrase, a Deal Dunn Right is what he does. I dont usually write reviews, but James is a gem I cant keep to myself!
I purchased 3 vehicles from Reliance in Bay City TX. My salesman AJ was awesome. He really did a good job on keeping a fair deal. They paid top money for my trade ins and kept a very friendly atmosphere. The sales manager Randy was amazing as well. I will definitely go back for my next purchase.

2022-07-23I had some questions about a grey dodge 2500 ram diesel that was on the lot and spoke with a salesman named Max. I had reached out to previous dealerships about this exact truck and needless to say my conversations lacked luster. He was super knowledgeable about all the specs and really went above and beyond trying to tell me about the special financing and why it was best to buy from them. Our conversation felt genuine and he was really an understanding guy when I did tell him I was shopping around. I would strongly consider buying from this dealer because of my experience with him.

2022-07-11I really appreciate the service and pretty quick turnaround given the countries current supply chain issues! There was a grey area with the warranty due to it being over 36,000 miles but the emissions systems warranty covered it, so that was great. My only recommendation for the dealership is try and communicate a little better, call the customer first if you know a part didnt arrive on time/the vehicle wont be fixed as planned due to parts delays. Will definitely buy from this dealership again!

2022-04-17Had the most horrible experience ever on Saturday. Drove 8 hours to look at drive, the truck look amazing but once test driven truck was shaking pulling to the left when ask about the shaking and pulling he got irritated and just wanted us to sign paperwork.Saying we can just take it our selfs down the road and pay out of pocket to have the alignment done and he was pretty sure it be okay. The sales man David Zack was beyond rude, disrespectful, non helpful, pushy. Worst attitude ever for a sales man to have to have towards the customers. Arguing with a myself , and my mother, even raising his voice to a retire veteran which be my father. We were asking for our money back from holding the truck while we driving down here so it not available for anyone to purchase and the sale man began getting more rude and beyond disrespectful and stated he told us on the phone that it was non refundable. But once we ask for the manger his words changed saying he just need the card to refund it back to. Once my father was talking to the manger about what happen, the sale man interrupt my father raising his voice in front of the manger. Once we gave the card to refund the money he became very mouthy and making comments under his breath. Worst experience beyond the furthest in a dodge dealership or with a sales person If I could give this no star perfect.....

2022-04-14Horrible dealership! I will never return or recommend anyone. After my truck being in the shop for over 3 months, I finally spoke with a manager and he seemed to try to help more than the Chevy service guy. Gabrielle on the dodge side actually helped me as well and is amazing. Even though it wasnt her place, she called and try to update on my truck the week she was checking on it for me. Chevy service is rude and Im sure he sits there sees the caller ID and decides Im not answering.Long story short, I never got a true answer on what was wrong with my truck. Then they said they were waiting on parts over over and over. Nobody ever called me. I would call and maybe spoke to the Chevy person a total of 5 times. I had to call blocked, from work # and my husband called a couple times. Truck went in with no check engine light on....came out with it on! Left it overnight so they could fix it.....still on! Im over them!! NEVER AGAIN!

2021-09-08My son and I went to the Bay City Reliance over the holiday weekend. Ray Cruz was so very helpful! He not only went out of his way to look for exactly what my son was asking for he was able to locate multiple options for him to look at and in the end was able to get him in the PERFECT truck. From the customer service to the financing we had a very good experience and highly recommend for anyone to visit them. Thanks Ray!!

2022-06-25DO NOT I repeat DO NOT take your vehicle there to get an oil change or any other service there. I took my vehicle there to get a routine oil change and I always have depended over and over on my oil percentage dashboard notification to let me know when it’s running low so this time it was running low at 14% which usually gives me time to take it to get an oil change and out of nowhere I was driving my truck and I get another notification on my dashboard saying ADD OIL. So then my husband check the oil dipstick and it was bone dry. It had no oil what so ever. Even my motor light had turned on because of that. I called and spoke to someone in service and I told them what was happening and they immediately started arguing trying to make excuses. My husband had to literally put a few quarts oil in the truck meanwhile I could take the time from work to be off and get it checked. So then I finally take in and speak to the person in service and again he tries to argue about what happened instead of even trying to make things right. They have no good customer service whatsoever. They can’t be trusted with people’s vehicles my motor from my truck could’ve been seriously damaged and they take zero responsibility for it.

2022-05-31Purchased a Vehicle from James. He was rude towards my wife, making snide remarks to her. In financing he promised me a second key and fob which I recorded the whole conversation while in finance and still have not received it. Went in to get a oil change and waited over an hour, the guy before me was there for fours hours for a oil change and we both had appointments. This place is a joke and won’t recommend them to anyone. Manager, salesman don’t return texts messages, emails.Got a response from the owner on may 31st. 2022 called to talk to the owner at 4:16pm the same day and was not there, asked for the GM was not there was well. Left a message and will wait.

2022-05-31Dont go here. These folks are not serious about selling cars. They just want to see who they can scam in the worst way. How do car salesmen sleep at night. They lack integrity, morals and values. They have what I call a black heart.

2022-07-05Went in for an oil change and tire rotation, the wait wasn’t too unbearable, reasonably priced and friendly people as usual. Will be back when it’s time for another oil change.

2021-12-23At the Reliance dealership in Bay City is being ran by the most incapable managers Ive ever had to deal with. I had my daughter take our 2019 Chevy Traverse cause the car was literally falling completely dead while she was driving down the highway. They looked at the car by sight only and sent down the road saying the car was fixed. Exactly 30min later the car did the exact thing and she was rear ended in traffic cause the car completely shutoff and she had no control over it. Not the cutoff system as car is designed to do.. Even when the officers responded to the incident seen the vehicle one said he has never seen a vehicle shutdown like that in the midst of being operated. Not to say this same dealership fixed a oil leak on the lower unit of the same car in which they had to pull the engine out as they said. But to this day they have checked from head to toe and car checks out. But I went and raised the hood in front of their service manager to find a loose connection on the positive side of the battery that their technician later said he had to unhook while fixing the oil leak on engine. Therefore I will never recommend even my worst enemy to this Service Department
