2 out of 5 times I order I’m always missing something. I understand it’s a really busy location, but that’s why I don’t understand why I don’t see that many workers compare to other locations hence, correct me if Im wrong the drive through is slow?I’ll give a 3 star because its not always a bad service.
This store used to be my favorite but recently every time my wife and I go we always have to go back because something is missing. We order stuff in the burgers like avacado or jalapenos and end up missing. They have even forgot the bacon on the BACON BURGER. I have worked fast food and understand it can be difficult sometimes, but to mess up even when its slow? You need to redo everyones training because its not right. In order to get good whataburger I have to drive further than right down the road. Learn to make the orders as its ordered and make your sweet tea taste like SWEET TEA not water.
Drive-thru order took nearly 30 minutes.. we were in lane B and this poor kid was the only one working lane B. Meanwhile inside at the window, I can see 5 people standing there by the drivethru window. Also, 6 cars in lane A ordered after us and all were served before us! Help the poor kid doing lane B. Then, we get our order and my 2 honey mustard sauces are missing. I go knock on the window and she hands me one honey mustard. I tell her I paid for 2. I just feel bad for the kid working alone on the outer later.. but the missing items are pretty consistent for this Whataburger. Just fyi, CHECK YOUR BAG, before you drive off.. something is probably missing.
Got my order however several things I had put on the app were not in my bag instead several ketchups I didn’t ask for nor the extra sauce which costed 39c? Really? You’d expect something you paid for to be in there, I get it small item BUT I still paid. This whataburger has repeatedly done mistakes on mobile orders, seems like if I just go in person it’ll get worse. Thanks a bunch whataburger.Edit: Still awful.

Do yourself a favor and NEVER go to this Whataburger. Every. Single. Time. I go here, there’s always something wrong or missing with my order. The line and wait time is ridiculous. Trust me. Go to the Whataburger on 281, better service and better food.
Took 1 hour to get my food and when I did it was cold and old! Very bad service the guy charging me was on his phone and I would see managers walking around just standing and talking to other employees while we all waited

Honestly recently this Whataburger has been slacking, burgers are a bit salty and cold. Bread is also dry. I thought maybe I was just getting tired of Whataburger but no. I tried a different location just to double check and no, it’s just this location. Food quality needs to be better. For now I guess I will have to drive further for better Whataburger.
The lady dumped my food into the bag upside down so that the hash brown sticks fell out all over. I ordered online to eat in my car because of covid. There is a whole empty parking lot but this guy in his huge truck has me blocked in so I cant leave
Recommend the Buffalo chicken ranch burger! It’s awesome, it’s delicious! I can’t wait to try it again! If you add lettuce in your order, it will be a game changer, try it!

Hamburgers were great. No pepper for my fries, seriously. Many tables were dirty. Floor was terrible. Probably wont visit this Whataburger again.

I’ve never had an issue at this whataburger. Honestly probably one of the best in the valley. However, I decided to dine in tonight due to the long drive thru line. I waited for 20 minutes for a burger inside the dining area. I understand drive thru was extremely packed but the people in the dining area are first priority because they’re PAYING customers already. As in customers who have already payed should be prioritized no matter what.

Worst location in the RGV. Unfortunately this is the one I live closest to, and on multiple visits, I have had to wait more than 30 minutes for my drive thru orders as people behind me pass, my order is never big or complex. Tonight they lost our receipt as we waited in the drive thru for 45 minutes... I HATE this place and will no longer be giving any them any business. Dont waste your time...

Drove into the drive through, ordered two burgers and had to wait 10 mins just for my drink. The lady took my money and 25 mins passed until I got my two burgers. They never gave me back my change either. They are understaffed & can’t even properly manage their restaurant.

Twice now within the past three weeks theyve messed up on my order. I asked for them to add bacon, they charged me for bacon, and then they dont add bacon to my burger! Definitely eat at a different location.

Mushroom & Swiss burger is delicious, smoky, buttery. But its a brick. Least brick-like sandwich is Patty Melt. But its a bit bricky. Fries are great. Onion rings are great. Peaches & Cream shake is to die for.
Heres my take on Whataburger, youll enjoy your food folks. Its good and all. Im pretty sure most will enjoy it. -but most arent here for a food review. Im going to inform you on some other informative points.Look, it is better to just order online and pick it up than having to wait in a long line. Its quicker usually, though sometimes the actual wait-time from what you get from the online mobile up will differ to the reality. Just because it says its ready within 5min to 7min can actually take around 11min to 18min. (Depends on the food you order too, thats what can impact the amount of time)Youll bound to have issues with your order, literally! So double-check, always double-check your orders when you receive them! Make sure to always emphasize the things you want to say when you order physically. (As opposed to doing it online) I can say for sure that most will agree that there is bound to be issues regarding wrong-orders. Of course, their staff can be nice and service you good. -though sometimes this can be irritable and nuisance to deal with. Especially, if you are in a rush and/or wanting to get things done smoothly without hassles to worry about.An issue I have with this location here in particular is simply put, their location. Is annoying, I dislike it, it is just simply put annoying to deal with at times. Especially with traffic and the tight space you got to work with in this location. It is also situation in a weird intersection corner spot with a weird entrance spot to enter from the university drive. (At least one of the entrance, youll probably recognize it whenever you pass by or enter the premise)Overall, the food and service is great. There are some pet peeves and minor issues that can be a concern for others. So hopefully this helps.
It was pretty busy but our food still came out amazing. Im almost excited about it because its never this good. They werent stingy with mayo and pickles and I really appreciate it. Recommended
The food matches the pictures and the prices never really change. I will say 1 star less because the milkshakes arent what they used to be, you know, if they have any available at the time. More often not, but I think the customer service is adequate and could be more friendly. Masks or not, we can hear your voice, just a heads up. I just visit here for the location than anything else.
The food is always delicious and freshly made. We are very picky with our order and they get our order right 98% of the time. The staff is very friendly. This has become our go to Whataburger, even though we live in Edinburg.
I go for coffee at 5:30 am for work @ 6, theres four or five cars in the DT; they have two lanes. I tell them my order for the coffee and suggest them that I move to the outside lane to hopefully expedite my order. They didnt answer back, so I stay in line. All cars in front of me had big orders by noticing the carryout bag they were handing out. Once I get there, they didnt even have my coffee poured, I asked for 2 French vanilla creamers and 2 sweet and lows, I get 2 sugars and 2 half and halfs. I had to tell them that I ordered a medium but was handed a small. I drink the coffee and it wasnt even hot, just warm. Team member proceeds to joke around and say, haha sorry Im probably making you late for work at that point it was 5:50 and I couldnt believe I waited that long for a simple cup of coffee.
The service is always friendly but on the slow side. However, the food is always great and as requested. One of the better locations I have been to in the entire state.
This is the worst whataburger Ive ever been to. I cant remember the last time they got my order correct. Five times in a row now, Ive been disappointed when i got home with my order. This is unacceptable and they should be embarrassed at the level of service being provided. Im sure this comment will go unnoticed by whataburger, but i had to make my disappointment known.

Fast, friendly and HOT FOOD, cant go wrong unless youre coming home from the bar, you might get stopped since theres sometimes a cop across at the bank or one by Walmarts entrance watching and waiting

Whataburger knows how to make a delicious burger that will leave you speechless. I love having my custom order as I feel so special and loved by the employees. The restaurant is quick at making your order and they do it with such heart! Its always a pleasure being your customer!
Very slow service and forgets to put condiments with orders. If ordering from here I recommend ordering 20-30 minutes in advance. Although they say orders will be ready in 5-7 minutes, it usually takes a minimum of 20 minutes. Also, be sure not to use curbside or drive-thru as they most likely will forget something.
I Order a kids meal and the bread was too hard meat so dry also order a jalapeño burger and wasnt jalapeños on it my wife order a avocado burger and no avocado inside either what kind of service is that? Was terrible my experience and definitely never coming back again.
Quick and easy. food was warm not hot which is a pet peeve but it was good still. I asked for 3 ketchups and they gave me 2, i had to ask for the 3rd one again but tbh i think management asks them to do that. The staff were friendly and quick. All you could need and expect from a whataburguer

Food is amazing and so is service! At first they got our order wrong but then get fixed it and have us extra food and drinks so that was cool.
I just left from Whataburger buying two Pico de Gallo burgers & once I arrived home & opened my burger the pico de gallo was like thrown in it & they bearly smothered some. My burger looked so sad! Nothing like on T.V. I dont know which employee did my burger but you need to change jobs. Whataburger used to be great in service but not anymore.

My cheese burger and fries were cold by the time I received it. Attendant brought out wrong order after I was waiting for my order. He came back out and asked me what I ordered. I showed him my receipt and then brought out my order. Usually pretty good service but hoping it wont always be like this time.
Terrible! Texas Toast not toasted, just thick cold bread. No avocado on burgers. Fries were under cooked. Had to go back and get orders of onion rings. Sweet tea, lemonade and Powerade were all gross. Worst whataburger ever.

I got sick. Not sure what did it. But it was after eating. I asked for extra veggies didnt get them. The fries tasted like re-cooked not hot at all. Whats happening. What A Burger has always been the best.
I went like at 2am. It wasnt crowd. Restaurant was a little dirty, tables have not being clean and floors not swiped, but I mean I get it drive thru is always busy, but at least the table please. I add bacon to my burger and they forgot to included but with no problem this mistake was fixed when I went over the counter with the burger and the receipt and asked for the bacon. They are polite and calm. But Im giving them 4 stars because of these mistakes.

Today the service was lousy. We got someones elses order. I had to dissect my taquito to take the bacon out and there was no way to scrape the cheese off. No extra potato like I ordered. Its El Pato next time.

Seems like the staff is always having a party here. Came tonight and while placing the order I could hear people in the background cussing and talking about the how one of the supervisor is a jerk. So I finish placing my order and after waiting 15 minutes with not a single car in front of me I finally get my order. I should’ve known better to check my order from this whaterburger but I didn’t. Of course they messed up my order like they have done numerous times before. This place sucks. Seriously needs better management.

I go to this whataburger at least 4or more time a month and it seems to be getting worse. Today my kid ordered a #5 they totally messed up the order, and who only puts ONE slice of bacon on a burger. I have been to many of the whataburgers in the valley and this is sincerely the worst one of all. The fries look at taste like they haven’t changed the oil in weeks. The meat tastes raw. I live less than two minutes away and my food is always cold when I get home. Recently we went for breakfast and they took over 35 min. for a bob with sausage and an egg and cheese biscuit. Horrible service! Extremely disappointed! Whataburger is a great company and it is so disappointing to crave a hot, juicy burger only to receive terrible service and ugly meals.
Always screwing up my orders, this last time was the last straw. If they took a moment to read or double check their orders it would be fine. I ordered a sweet and spicy with no onion on Texas toast and they put so much onion on it and on the receipt it had the order like i had asked. The previous time i redeemed a coupon for a free whataburger and they ended up giving me a jr. Instead od what the coupon promised. Do not go here, go to the one on closner.
Waited 15mins for one single breakfast taco. Orders ahead of me and behind got their food. I was asked to pull forward and park to only be missing the condiment i asked.

Got no ketchup no salt or pepper for my onion rings and hamburger. According to whataburger regulations your order should be ready within 5 minutes and it took 10 minutes to get my order. You have about 8 employees or more and you cant get my order done in a timely manner. I used to work there in 83 and we used to take care as many people with 2 cooks and an assistant manager.

Ive been eating at this particular restaurant on and off for over three months and was for the first time unhappy with the service at a Whataburger. They always mess up my order, its something small but they always miss the mustard. The next time my burger had onion in it and i went inside to ask for a replacement and the kid working the counter had the nerve to tell me to simply remove the onions which i wouldve done if i didnt mind the taste of onion but i do. If I wasnt a friendly person I wouldve ripped that cashier a new one but instead laughed off the frustration and the cashier very reluctantly went to his boss to ask. Never coming to this specific location again. Just to clarify not all the service people here are incompetent there are a few but not enough to make up for it.
Terrible service all around starting with management. They had so much management staff and could not make one out of all of them put together. So Sad love Whataburger but when you get the order wrong the first time okay. But when you drive all the way back and get it wrong again. On top of all that they gave me the hardest time both times. 😠 and 😥
The dining area could use a little more of a cleanup the few times Ive arrived and the staff look like they could use some rest.Foods good, although. But, Im pretty certain most of the staff members are college students with busy schedules, hence my earlier comment.
Every other meal from here is freezing cold and the wait is almost always close to 20 minutes. At this rate you can get a better cooked meal from a restaurant like chili’s for close to the same price and wait. At least they fix their mistakes but I’d rather have it done right the first time. With such a long wait why is the food always so dang cold?
Great service, due to covid they only have one door that is an entrance and another that is solely for exiting. Leaving from a parked area can get dodgy since its a double line and the lines get long you may get blocked by the drive thru line
Make sure to check you have all of the items before leaving from the drive-through. Also, avoid going during busy days in which you may only get 7 fries in an order.I do like that the employees wear a safety vest when delivering orders to the care, safety first.

Lately the wait in the drive thru has been too long and just right now was worse. I ordered 2 salads and asked for 1 extra ranch dressing and 1 extra pkg of croutons. We got no extra dressing and no croutons at all, not even the ones that are automatically supposed to come with the salad. My disappointment continues to grow
Just went through the drive thru for breakfast. Had the Bob, which is always good. Two lanes of cars but they had everything coordinated and it went fast.
This whataburger is like family. Its always there for me when i need it, 24/7.doesnt matter if its freezing or raining, whataburgers got my back/stomach.
This Whataburger was very busy tonight, yet my 3 orders were as requested, and plus they were all delicious. My co-worker who visit other sites, asked Which Whataburger did you go to? They could tell the difference. Kudos to the cooks.
They usually provide the regular, great service and food. This evening we received cold food. Cold fries, cold burgers, but we waited 20 minutes for food? I don’t mind waiting, but at least give me hot food.Of course we didn’t check our food until we got home(5 minutes away), so there is no point in calling and them telling me to come back and get it fixed. I then thought I’ll fill out the survey on the receipt, except since I went through the “outside “ or 2nd drive thru lane, the gal with the tablet who swiped my card didn’t give me a receipt. The receipt on the bag doesn’t have the required information to get into the survey. I don’t want a gift card for my troubles or anything like that. I want to receive the product I pay for.

Recently went to get breakfast here and it was terrible. The Bobs I got for my family were cold and the egg was scrambled and runny. The breakfast taco I got smelled like fish and was not thoroughly cooked. My coffee was cold and only filled less than halfway. The overall service here was terrible. I have never spent more than thirty minutes at a whataburger like I have spent here. If you want ugly, smelly, runny food this is the place you want to go to.
Horrible customer service. Employees are disrespectful and lack a single ounce of courtesy. Aside from the several horrific encounters I had, once my entire family and I all got a stomach bug immediately after eating there. I wish I could give a quarter of a star. Enough is enough. Never eating there again.

Everyone check your meals before you leave the drive thru, i have gone to this whataburger like 4 times in the past 2 months and they have not gotten a single order correct. Today was a simple order number 1, with cheese mustard and ketchup only. and i get my burger no cheese with everything on it. and they did not even give me the fries that come with my order. very disappointed.(Last time) Okay, this is the only Whataburger that gets my order wrong......I always get the same thing number 4 Jalapeno burger with no lettuce, tomato, and onion. Add mayonnaise, spicy ketchup, and mustard. And the 3rd time already they have not put any jalapenos....... why would i order a number 4 to just get the jalapenos removed and end up with a number 1..... i am paying for them. Just 10 minutes ago it happen again and it only happens at this location.
I went to get breakfast early before my shift hoping that I made a good choice because I never eat out. I ordered a honey butter chicken biscuit, and the biscuit was as hard as a rock as if it was from yesterday or 12 am. The chicken was also pretty dry. Im pretty disappointed.

This is a typical Whataburger but its located near the college UTRGV. With that in mind, its always packed with people so they accommodate this by having 2 lanes where you can order, pay and get your food. The only downside is that it can sometimes take a long time to get your food. more than 20 or 30 minutes on occasion. If you dont mind a wait time, its a good place to visit as theyve never messed up my order and the staff is friendly.

Whats the point of ordering online & giving me a time of 9:50 & 9:55....& yet here we are @ 10:10 & counting. There is no line filtration for online orders & for those placing a new order. This tells me 1 of 2 things, either my food was made by the time that I was texted, which means its now COLD...or that they are just making my order which defeates the whole point of ordering online to begin with, I could have just ordered when I got here. I visited Whataburger late at night, around 1am with the expectation of a wait of about 20-30min or so. I dont mind waiting, these burgers are worth it. The reason for the three star rating isnt due to the wait time, its because when I finally did get my food it was cold to the touch. I wasnt happy to bite into a cold bun, patty and cheese.
I love Whataburger but they have disappointed me here. I got a potato and egg taquito and my egg was cold and old. Asked for another taco and they gave me the same ugly old egg but this time warmed it up on the grill 😠 I could tell it was the same old egg it was an ugly yellow dry color.

I think the phoney-baloneyvirus must have affected their hearing. I asked specifically for EXTRA tartar sauce. I even asked for it on both sides of my What a Catch. So the lady put, tartar on the side on my ticket instead.I could live with that, but when I got home, there wasnt so much as a drop of tartar sauce on the sandwich or in the bag!

I went recently to get a small order of fries, I got a med size order but they were old & cold. Unless youre in no rush & have time to send back your order dont bother to stop here. Whataburgers in WESLACO, Tx will leave you satisfied always!

Always messes up order, the 2 lane drive thru is stupid because they always serve the first lane people first. Had started going to the whataburger on exp and 107 but was closer to this location. Would have been way better and faster to have gone to the other location than here.
Worst whataburger in south texas. Never gets my order correct. Always a mistake and cold burgers at that. Will go further to find a different whataburger. After 8 times of the same thing i should have learned. Worst location ever
My husband and I had combos. Burger was not so fresh and fries were burnt to a cookie crisp! Bad. We dont like to complain about it we just throw fries away!

The restaurant had been remodeled with more tables and a second drive thru. The burgers are still delicious as usual but with more dining space. And the employees are always friendly.

We were in a rush and went through the drive through, it took forever and ALL of our BOBS were missing the sausage! My brother in law asked for egg white and he got regular egg!!! Very disappointed!!! Very slow service as well!!! Will not be returning!!
Pico de gallo burger was great, and fries were delicious and made fresh, of course they always make it may way.

Their lettuce is gross. Never can put easy mustard. Under cooked patties. The problem with whataburger is that none of them cook the food the same. Each whataburger is different.
Their chicken strips were too dry. Its not always that this place disappoints but it disappointed me then. So I gave it a four star rating. I will never get strips again btw.
I was impress. As soon i walk in the floor look nasty filty the rails on the window you dont need to wipe your finger you can tell its dirty. Sorry i will not go back ever.

I was very upset with there service!😡 I rarely visit Whataburger and when i did i ordered a #2 all the way with cheese for take out .I clearly told the female cashier it going to be for take out since the burger was for someone i had in the hospital that was not eating very well.When i recived the order it was on a tray when i clearly told the female employee it was for take out. So she had it bagged for me, so when i get to the hospital i cut the burger in half and it was till my mother noticed half way into her half that the meat was raw inside the patties! I became very upset at that point. I called to notify them about the incident and they told me to take it back and tbat they would take care of the problem and i was not going to risk getting pulled over for a head light that wasnt working on my car, so i explained to them. When i went back yesterday i told them about the incident once agian and they told me that there wasnt any credit order for me but they gave me credit anyway which i really didnt want i would of rather gotten a full refund instead. I have never been in whataburger where you really matter. The staff is 5 out of 5. I have been to whataburger in the past but this one has reached beyond my expectation.
Usually fast even when there is a long line but occasionally have problems with my order or they forget to give straws or napkins. Overall good place

Great food but so much drive thru customers that they get all confused with your order and you have to come back cause they messed up order.

Whata Wonderful Burger. Great staff, very nice n helpful. The burgers n fries tasted great. U really get what u pay for. Only issue, and a small one, was the napkins could be more obsorbant. Had to use several napkins for one burger so get alota napkins with ur order. They r free anyway.
Fries tasted like they were sitting for a while and were cold, drink was watery & hamburger was sloppy placed together after leaving drive thru.
If youve never had Whataburger then stop what your doing right now go and get a number.two all the way and your head will filiguryillaly explode with how good the burger is! The shakes are also pretty good.
4/5 only because its always full. Not their fault but they should expand the dinning in area. It is located right in front of the university, a lot of students come in, and stay there hours. Im not saying that is bad, but because of that, they should expand the area.

I enjoy eating at this establishment because the order is always made correctly and plus I enjoying watching and hearing the employer by the name Elliot Canales how he greets the customers. His friendly demeanor always brightens my day.

Wonderul experience came in at 3:00am on Wednesday January 24 and the MOD Jose Martinez took excellent care of us.We had a reward in which we were redeeming and wanted a coffee to go along with our honey butter biscuit. He immediately let us know he would make us a fresh pot of coffee and it would be a moment. We sat down and just watched the symphony in the heart of whataburgers house. From the worker seamlessly setting up burger toppings to the to go specialist working the window they all helped each other out and moved with such fluidity it was magic. Definitely true matters of their craft.
No mattter what if you order with app they will still not have your food ready for 30 more mins , happens to everyone that go here .

Craved a gilled chicken sandwich with cheese, toasted buns, grilled Jalapeño and onions! They definitely satisfied the craving. Friendly staff and great quality food.
Great place to eat, really friendly people. They almost always get the orders perfect, but the one in a billion chance that they get it wrong, they are eager to fix it and make sure your experience is overall perfect.
Love this place but if you come in the morning, and Yolanda isnt working the drive through dont bother. Without her service is slow, orders are wrong and a lot less cheerful.

What can I say about this place its 24/7 and its whataburger good place to get something at night and not pricey at all but it does get full quick and they take a while to get your order but where else do you get a good burger at 2 am than McDonalds plus its a good decent size burger.

2022-06-11Very nice experience at this Whatabuger. I was there around 7pm and their was a line of car in the drive threw. So I went inside 4 my order. I ordered a #2 combo. It only took 8 minutes 2 get my food. Hot and fresh. The best part of this store is , they have a nice women come around 2 make sure everything was good. I complimented her said everything was good. The restaurant was very clean. 2 thumbs up 👍👍

2022-03-18I was craving my go to patty melt last night after trying the disappointing bk whopper melt slider 2 days ago. I was surprised that my favorite burger tasted slightly different. It was good, but it was missing its usual greasiness. It was still better than the bk one, but i missed the grease. The paper that it was wrapped in, had no grease stains. At least, its slightly healthier than usual.

2022-02-09I normally love whataburger and always get incredible service, but as of lately I feel like whataburger has been pretty mid. I dont know if they might have changed the recipe for something or their ingredients changed, but it doesnt taste like whataburger. Customer service is obviously incredible as always.
