We just had the best experience here. We came from Las Cruces for some great ribs and they delivered. The cooks are amazing, and what made this experience stand out even more, was the amazing waitresses- Monica and Adriana. They were the only two waitresses in the restaurant and they had a full house, yet they were very attentive to all tables and very, very nice and professional. We will be asking for them next time we come in.Thank you, Monica for everything and I hope you guys get recognized for all you do.
We were passing on I 10 on our way home to Florida. I remembered the Rib Hut’s gigantic beef ribs from another trip about ten years ago. We checked, and it was still there! I had the two beef rib platter, my wife had the half chicken. A great lunch, just as I remembered. No beef rib restaurants in Florida! A treat.
Words can not express the amazing experience we had here, we visited for my birthday. They blessed me with a decadent birthday cake that I had the pleasure to taste. The staff is above and beyond attentive, kind and gracious. I highly recommend the Mac and cheese, Ribs, sausage, brisket, cake, be etc. You will not be disappointed and if you are. Its probably your fault. Lol!! Love, love, love this place and I will travel to Texas just to eat here again.
We ordered the ribs thinking thats what they would specialize in since its named the Rib Hut. We were severely disappointed. We got the rib sampler and they were all extremely tough. Not worth the money at all. If you have to eat there, stick to something else. The mac and cheese and fried okra were good though.
Food looked amazing. Buuuutttt the appetizers were frozen not homemade. Not worth it. The brisket was so tender it was amazing buuutt had no seasoning. You had to dip into bbq sauce to get flavor but it was too salty. The potato salad was bland. The coleslaw was bland. We wanted to try peach cobbler but they were sold out. They were sold out on the #1 dessert. How??? Anyways. Staff was great. Decor was cool. Food served fast. Good luck.
Rib Hut is a good BBQ place that provides good service, tasty food, and a cool atmosphere.I had the chance to taste the sausage, brisket, baby back ribs, sweet potato fries, potato salad, okra, and the beans. The sausage was over cooked on my plate and overall it wasn’t that tasty. I believe that the sausage was the worst meet I tried. This is the reason I won’t give it a 5 star rating. The brisket was cooked well and wasn’t dry. It was great and I highly recommend it.The baby back ribs were great and the best plate here. They are a must have. Very tasty, very meaty, and it is a must have. Rib hut has great ribs.Lastly the sides were good! I recommend the sweet potato fries or the fried okra! The service was very attentive and friendly. No complaints. Happy to go back for just the ribs any day!
Rib Hut, what I can say, DELICIOUS FOOD, GREAT SERVICE. I went in to celebrate a family birthday, and left so happy. For starters I got jalapeño poppers and a lil salad!Jalapeño Poppers were bursting with flavor! The cheese and the jalapeño tasted bussing, great tang and heat from the jalapeño with creamy cheese and light fried coating, highly recommend!! Side salad was fresh, plain and simpleFor my entree I choose their veggie pita, and was met with fresh veggies, lettuce, avocado, tomato, cheese, and a beautiful pita bread to compliment. Each item made a lil food heaven on their own!!Couldn’t have left happier, server was great and on point. I don’t remember their name, but they took care of 10+ top amazingly well. Shoutout to ribhut, hit them up y’all 🥰🥰
Second time visiting this place. Good Texas BBQ. Excellent flavor and delicious ribs! A little pricey but would recomend each person that comes ordering their own plate, wouldnt recommend the family orders not enough food. Also burgers are super juicy and cooked perfectly! Will come back
Saloon bar vibe with delicious ribs/steak/brisket focussed menu. Been here several times, and always had a delicious experience with friendly service and a fun atmosphere.Ive had all the meat options and enjoyed every single one. But if pushed for a favourite... Id choose the baby back ribs (full rack shown in photo)... Their Macncheese is likely my favourite side. Wouldnt expect anything low calorie here, but would expect an epic meal.
Food was well worth the wait, and the service was exceptional! You can tell the employees really work as a team to ensure customer satisfaction! We did have to wait a bit to get seated but we were expecting that since we went on $2.29 rib night. Those ribs are huge (see pic)! Dont make the mistake of ordering too many.I had a Santa fe chicken spud and it was delish. My only complaint is that I couldnt see or taste the cheese until i got to the bottom of the spud. I would much rather see gooey cheese on top, especially since i ordered the spud because i was craving the gooey cheese. On the other hand, the house made green salsa is to die for...I wonder if they use a molcajete to make it?We cant wait to go again!
You get the first scents of amazing ness as you are parking. As you walk in it only gets better and better. Then when your server brings you that rack of ribs... oh my god. Simply amazing!Note that the place and parking lot is tiny and usually pretty packed, but that only adds to its cozy, home feeling.
Fantastic ribs with very affordable pricing. For $16, I received a half rack of juicy, delicious baby back ribs, and two sides (chose potato salad and mac and cheese). Throw in a Dogfish Head 90 Minutes for six bucks and change, along with excellent service by the staff, and I left as a very satisfied customer. Whenever I return to El Paso, Rib Hut will definitely be a stop to revisit. Highly recommend.
The best BBQ weve had in a long time. The staff was so friendly. Ruben was the best, he had recommendations for us that proved to be excellent. The new host (I forgot her name, I believe Madison) was also very kind and attentive. Definitely recommend this place. Though they were absolutely slammed post UTEP WIN!!! they were still prompt and gave us outstanding service. We will be back.
Had the combo plate with sausage. Turkey, and brisket with a side of ranch style beans and curly fries. My parnter had the brisket plate with potato salad and beans as well. The potato salad was ok but didnt like it too much. Not very much flavor. Everything else was delicious. The brisket melted in your mouth.
This place was surprisingly good! We went here before the monster truck show and was very good at very reasonable prices. I LOVED the fries, both curly and steak. The burger was a little above average, a bit of boney residue but the flavor was still good. The service was very courteous and my husband enjoyed the ribs, although he mentioned that they were very greasy. We gave the bones to my dogs (who love ribs), but one of them didnt like it too much, so that was weird. Other than that, the place was good (and packed, but they were fast). Recommended.
We tried their other locations, even though they were good, they dont hold a candle to this one. the atmosphere is the best and the food is amazing. the manager here has be best memory to anyone i have ever seen, we live no where close and only ate their in a 3 year time frame but he remembered us from two years before. it may be our southern accent that helped him but the point is that even though they were really busy, he takes the time to talk with all of the customers which is great
While I’ve only been here once the “BBQ” as they called it was average at best. The staff was great along with the potato salad and okra. The brisket and sausage on the other hand was horrible. I wish I had a before pic and better pics of the food I didn’t eat. I can’t remember the last time I returned the food or didn’t get it to-go (and at least give it to our dogs)or eat it all, I couldn’t stomach this! Here’s the descriptions: brisket resembled 1/3 smoked brisket, 1/3 broiled in the oven or crock pot, the final 1/3 grilled and burnt over an open flame, I guess to warm it up. And to make matters worse, they sliced it with the grain which made it even tougher to eat, most of all no smoke flavor and no smoke ring. The sausage: I haven’t eaten ekrich kielbasa in a long while but this would be a close comparison. No smoke flavor, very greasy and “hot dog” like in texture and flavor. Again, this too seemed to be tossed on an open flame to heat up and like the brisket probably burnt on the grill. Well, I can’t figure out how to add the pic
Big disappointment. Ribs were pink and dry. Had to take them home so I could finish cooking them and add juice to try to save them. Way overpriced! What a waste of $28!!!If you get waiter John, the older gentleman with gray hair, RUN AWAY! He is arrogant, no matter how friendly I was. When he brought my ribs and asked if I needed anything, I asked for a wet nap. He pointed to the roll of PAPER TOWELS on the table and condescendingly told me theres a whole roll for me and walked away. What an a$$. The icing on the cake was when he brought me the check WITH A WET NAP underneath it! AND he charged me extra for sweet potato fries without telling me.Small parking lot too. Just all around waste of time and irritating lunch. :(Part 2: Owner called and was very apologetic and surprised by my experience. Very responsive. Props.
Was my first time ever coming here and I loved it. The quaint looking place had fantastic service and great bbq. Server helped me choose food that was to my taste and I gotta say I was ready for the electric chair or the deadly needle at the end. Price was more than well worth it. I will be returning as soon as I can with my wife and kids.
Was hungry for some BBQ and was right by the restaurant, so we stopped for lunch. Ordered the combination platter, it had sausage, chicken, and brisket. It also came with two sides, mine were beans and potato salad. The food was really good, I enjoyed it all. Great service also. Had no problems getting what I needed . Will definitely come back for more sometime soon.
Pretty darned good BBQ and probably the best in and around the El Paso area. The ribs are delicious as are the sides and the BBQ sauce is also good. I eat BBQ in East & Central Texas and it doesnt compare but after eating BBQ in several places in the El Paso area Ive come to believe this is the best for the area. So if you need a fix, itll definitely hit the spot. Enjoy and Bon Appetit! 😋😋
Servers were nice, food was horrible. Ribs were burnt and did not taste like anything without the sauce, the half chicken was drier than EP, the steak fries were soaked with oil, the brisket was 85 percent fat, the Mac n cheese was good, but even the ice cubes in the drink tasted horrible. This place can do way better. I was so hungry which made this experience worse. 1000% would have rather had Chipotle.
Been craving for some BBQ for a while and my girlfriend never been to a BBQ House. We got more than enough food to take out with the Combo Platter (Sausage, Turkey, and Baby Ribs) and the Avocado Burger. Everything was delicious and the sides only made it better. I gave 4 stars because the sausage/turkey were a little dry but the BBQ sauce compensated a little bit.
I. Loved. This. Place.Looking for some ribs (hello, captain obvious)... look no further! If its your first time here, I highly recommend the rib sampler platter. See what you like. Its huge, but you get a nice taste of the different offerings. Did I mention the ribs are HUGE?!This place isnt anything fancy. But I find some of the best restaurants arent. It feels kind-of (emphasis on kind-of) hole in the wall.Service was fast.Food was DE-LISH.
I enjoyed beef ribs here, something I hadnt had in quite some time. They were very tasty, tender, and just the right amount of sauce. I wasnt happy of the fact that we couldnt find toothpicks on our way out the door and everyone that worked there was inadvertently busy. The atmosphere was kind of homely, quiet and not very big. We went for lunch instead of dinner so not busy at all, walk right in and got a table.
Nice, old-fashioned feel and delicious burgers and barbecue. We were sitting between a screeching toddler and a loudly arguing older couple, but thats not the restaurants fault. The food was a little slow arriving, but the waiter kept our sodas refilled and once it arrived, the food was amazing. Beats big chain places like Famous Daves and Dickeys. If the food had arrived a little faster, I would have given five stars, but we waited about 45-50 minutes for our meals.
Wow! Drove in from San Antonio, the assistant manager of the hotel recommended, dude should be promoted to King of foodie nation! The restaurant is a friendly atmosphere, very sports decor and multiple TVs w/ the game, lots of memorabilia up on the wall of real people and events, this is a local destination that I enjoy most! Texas BBQ is the name, appetites is the game, whatever you want they have it, we didn’t know where to start so our server, Diego, helped decide on Beef Ribs for the wife and the 3 Meat Special for me...Ribs, brisket and sausage!!! Both entrees offer 2 sides (see menu). The ribs were dinasaur big, couldn’t finish 1/2 but ended up order more ribs to go w/ 2 sides of Mac N Cheese for the grandkids! You guys are really awesome and provided a great dining experience! They even held open the door for us w/ all our food!!! Thanks again! Go try it!
The Rib Hut is an old looking building and just as old looking on the inside, but it serves great food that is definitely not old. Ive tried sandwiches, burgers and of course the BBQ. The smoky flavor is excellent and the brisket was as juicy and tender as Ive ever had. The portions are pretty large and really enough for two people. I have taken extras home each time. The appetizers are a full meal alone. Everytime except this last time they have cooked my burger a perfect medium. Not sure what happened this last time, but it still had a good taste. A great selection of beer including some great Texas craft beers. 🍻The servers are always friendly, helpful and efficient. Give this local establishment a try. You will enjoy it. 👍
Terrible customer service. The food here is always great. I couldnt place an order online, so I called in. I was placed on hold for 5 minutes but I could hear everyone talking. I hung up and called again only for the same thing to happen. I sent a screenshot of the order i wanted to a family member who lives near by to stop by and place the order. They were accused of being a doordash driver trying to place an order. NOTHING indicated that they drove for doordash.
The place to go in El Paso for BBQ! I had the beef brisket half plate (be warned, full-plates are for extra hungry people 🤤) with a side of mac and cheese and beans. The brisket was that melt in your mouth goodness, the BBQ sauce was a devine rendition of at home goodness, mac and cheese like your momma makes, and beans well who doesn’t like beans! A must eat at place if you are in El Paso!!!
The service is excellent, such nice people, I walked in on NYE looking for quiet spot for dinner as the servers cashed out. I asked if I was to late for some food and understand if kitchen is closed. They staff wouldnt let me leave and actually prepared me some ribs after I am sure everything was cleaned & put away. Sadly the ribs was all I got to try because if the rest of menu is close to as good as ribs I missed out. Great food, people and atmosphere call it 10 out of 10.
Came here for lunch and WOW! I had the beef ribs and a barbecue brisket burrito. The beef ribs were large and juicy and the burro was hefty and moist! Don’t get me started on the bbq sauce! I’m not sure what they put in it, but it’s the closest thing to food crack I’ve ever had. They need to bottle it and sell it in stores. The service was flawless and the ambiance is just what you would expect for real Texas barbecue. I’ll be back here every time I’m back in El Paso. The city is blessed to have such an establishment.
I couldnt choose what to order, so naturally I went with the pick 3 appetizer as my meal. I tried the jalapeno poppers, the chopped brisket, and the buffalo wings (bone-in). The bbq sauce and brisket wasnt amazing, but it wasnt bad either. The bun was a great fit for the sandwich, though. The jalapeno poppers were a little to crunchy on the outside, and were not spicy at all. The wings were pretty dang good! The buffalo sauce had a bit of a bite, but not overwhelming where my mouth was on fire. Of course, I dipped in ranch. Our server was super nice and attentive. We will definitely go back and I am going to have more wings!
Great customer service. Friendly people. Loved the sides and the BBQ sauce taste great. I got the spare ribs.. A little disappointed that the ribs were tough. I expected them to be fall off the bone tender. Didnt try the other meats they have. Will be back to try the other items.
The place was not very good. Everything was sticky. My feet stuck to the ground. We told them we wanted the sauce on the ribs and they gave it to us on the side. The ribs where very chewy and hard to bite off the meat, very tough. The beer tasted old and watered down.
The service is outstanding and the bbq ribs are best Ive had anywhere. I ended up with ribs by mistake because I ordered the brisket but we had a big party. Potato salad top notch, even had a picky toddler who loved it and the staff was very engaging. We got there at a weird time I can only imagine how crowded it will get . . . this place would have been making big business if the owners marketed much better . . . terrific. . . must visit.
Tick tock. Tick tock. Been sitting at the table for THIRTY MINUTES and still HAVE NOT EVEN ORDERED the food. Seriously. I am definitely regretting some of my life choices right now. Mainly choosing Rib Huts special of now FOUR DOLLAR beef ribs. Not feeling special at all right now. Well maybe only one way, again my choice in this venue.
Amazing ribs with lots of sides, service was extremely good, staff was polite and service was quick. Ive been coming to rib hut for years. Plates are big so order wisely:) Rib night is always a good time to try the ribs. The atmosphere is great and the beer is good. We always have the fosters when we ready out here. A definite must see and eat place in El Paso!!!!!
On Wednesday the lunch special is chicken fried steak. Very little gravy esp with mashed potatoes. We asked for more gravy and were charged .99 + .99. Had to pay for more gravy and because it was in a bigger bowl??? then the extra .99. If charging .99 will make or break Rib Hut then we can just not go back. We had been going often even a lot if take out. But forget it. Plus the last time ordered cobbler it tasted like smoke bbq. Yuck. See ya.
My visit was last Sunday, Feb-23rd. I ordered a Rib Hut Sampler Platter. The ribs were very bad. The meat was hard, it seemed raw. In any average barbecue restaurant, when you get ribs the meat easily comes off from the bone, in this case it was not like that, I could not eat even half of the meat because it was very difficult to cut, using the knife or biting directly with teeth. I had bad experience. Respectfully, your kitchen has great opportunity areas.
The brisket is really juicy and tender. I ordered the baby back ribs and it looked a bit large for baby back. As a result, the meat was a little on the tough side with a lot of fat. Its a nice place to try but be careful what you order. The barbecue here is excellent and meets or exceeds that found in more expensive restaurants in the area. The atmosphere is very casual and the food choices suited for a young adult college crowd, since it is just blocks from UTEP and the Sun Bowl.
The samplers are a great way to satisfy that meat craving with tender morsels. The warm BBQ sauce just adds to the deliciousness of the brisket. Even the grill chicken salad is huge, but very delicious. That this place is frequently packed is a testament that the food is delicious.... and it wont even break the bank.
The place was packed but the service was great, as was the food. I had a barbecue brisket sandwich with steak fries to go. It really hit the spot! The only suggestion I would have is to have a dedicated take out line, which I may well have missed if you already have one!! Still, overall, other than the wait to order and get my order, the service and food was 5 star quality.
Tried this with my husband this past weekend and I was disappointed. I ordered a turkey slider and curly fries. The fries were good, the turkey was very dry. My husband loved his beef ribs, but wasnt a fan of his sides (Mac & cheese and baked beans). They didnt have much flavor at all. They definitely needed some type of seasoning or something. However, the service and staff was super friendly and answered all my questions! Overall, okay but not amazing.
When you go to a place called Rib Hut you obviously need to order the ribs. They were pretty good! Id skip on the brisket personally. No smoke rings on the brisket, kinda dry, and a bit tough to eat. I like my brisket with smoke rings, juicy, and smokey..You get some flavorful ribs with some pretty attentive servers. Plenty of seating - very comfortable atmosphere. Pretty dim inside to keep that hot El Paso sun out (thank the Lord).
Great service. My only issue was that the quality of the food didn’t meet my expectations. The ribs were extremely tough and dry. The potato salad was also very bland, we even had to throw in mustard and salt ourselves and this still didn’t fix how terrible it was. I might’ve just gone a bad day but definitely considering whether to go back..
I love going to this location. I go at least once a month. Angel usually is my server and I usually order the 16 oz ribeye with loaded baked potatoe and coleslaw. Ribeye is always cooked perfectly and the sides are fantastic. I totally recommend this location. Keep up the great work guys.
I know its a local hot spot hut to my liking its not anything special. I got the sampler platter and sad to day that what I liked best was the chicken it was very juicy very moist. Didnt really care for the sausage was too soggy for my liking and the BBQ they have isnt as thick as I would want it to be. Reviews are always opinion and if a friend of mine told me they liked it there I can see where they might like it just not my cup of tea. Ill say this though, if you go you have to try the cobblers that are marvelous. I might go back just for that
Was taken for the 1st time to Rib Hut near Montana St. by friends. I want to go back today. Delicious ribs great waitress great service. Waitress took time to take our picture eating those delicious 😋 ribs. Prices are very reasonable not like Famous Daves- 1 rib with lots fat in the middle $26.99- at Rib Hut 17.99 for 7 ribs. I think waitress was Sierra youll love 😍 her.
We recently moved here and had almost given up on finding a good bbq place. Rib hut has great food with a family run style kinda feel. Prices are great too, 2 meat combo for 14.99 3 meat combo for 17.99. Great dinner rolls too. The only thing I didn’t like was the celery in the potato salad. If you’re in the area and looking for bbq stay away from Rudy’s or Dave’s “famous” bbq and stop at rib hut instead. It’s a small place though so if you’re looking to eat around lunch or dinner time you should probably make reservations.
Quite possibly the best BBQ in El Paso, Ive never had a bad meal here. The building is a very distinctive A-frame and hard to miss. There are a couple of things you need to be aware of. First when they are busy, it can get crowded and noisy so not the best for quiet conversation. Second, parking is also pain, so you may have to park elsewhere and walk. Neither of these should stop you from going, it is well worth it.Ive saved myself a lot of trouble during the holidays because they have the most amazing smoked turkey, and along with brisket, has been a tradition with us for years now. Just be sure to pre-order and they will have it ready for you.
Rib Hut is a great spot for ribs. Rib Hut is too good actually. This place ruined my life to be honest. I had the ribs and I said to myself, wow, what a tasty treat this is. Then I had another rib and enjoyed that one as well. Let me tell you, I didnt expect to have so many ribs that night, but I did. I enjoyed the BBQ sauce so much that I went a little coo-coo afterwards. I havent been able to function so well since going here. I think about ribs all day and that sexy BBQ sauce literally non-stop. I can no longer focus on my work and have lost my job recently because of my slipping performance. My wife left me and took the kids because Ive been so fixated on Rib Hut lately. She says I dont give her the attention she needs and that my obsession has negatively impacted our sex life. Ive been going to therapy for about three months now and have been put on prescription medication to combat my barbecue neurosis. This place is a great spot to treat yourself if youre ever around the neighborhood. Just be careful not to let it ruin your life like I did. 5 stars.
So sad that today’s situation is affecting food service and quality. Even though we understand the current stress it does not justify serving bad food. Never order any chicken items at Rib Hut you will be highly disappointed. Chicken is frozen substitute for barbecued chicken, therefore no flavor and condiments are lacking as well 🙁
First time and I have to say that I am a little disappointed. I was craving BBQ for the longest time this place didnt deliver true BBQ. The ribs were chewy and the sauce tasted like tomato sauce. On the other hand, Paulina the server was great!! She was cute and helpful.Overall, I might give this place another chance un a distant future.
The ribs are great. I think Fameous* Daves might be better tho to be honest.*Also today I ordered two 6 piece wings and one 9 piece jalapeno popper. The total was 31 and sum change. The wings were great bit for $10 less and fries and a drink Wing Stop is the budget-wise choice.
I really enjoyed both the food and the service. Nothing just jumped out as to why, but definitely good enough to give you your barbecue fix. Also the waitress was extremely kind when my sister asked for beef rib bones for her dog. The waitress brought out a small bag with a few bones.
Theyre specialty is ribs, but on the menu they have chilli chicken pita. It out does their ribs. Make sure you ask who is cooking, Joe the cook loves making them from scratch. He loves to make them on rib nights, Wednesdays. Always ask for no celery so it can be made to order on the spot. Joe will love it!
Cozy restaurant specializing in ribs, brisket and sausage. Very popular with the college crowd (UTEP is a few blocks away).Rib nitights are a great deal and its superpacked then.Of course, now, because of covid19, its take out only.Still, best bbq beef ribs on the west side.
We are from California this was our 1st time in Texas we’ve always herd about how good Texas bbq is. I took my family to the Rib hut today there 2nd location not the original spot. Let me tell u this place was BOMB. Eddie the manager was so welcoming he took his Time to explain the entire menu he recommended the smoked turkey and I looked at him like “r u serious” but I’m glad I listened to him. The turkey was so good and juicy it just melted in your mouth. Annabel was our server she did a great job always asking us if we needed anything else with her sweet Texas Ya’ll need anything else. I had the combo platter 3 meat choices my kids had the brisket sliders and wife had the nachos. The portions are like the Texas saying everything is bigger in Texas. I recommend the Rib hut. Thank u Eddie and Annabel for the nice Texas welcome and great BBQ
My mom and I had a greaaat experience at Rib Hut!! First time there and an AWESOME waiter, Damian suggested a sampler which was delicious!! We only had the half order sampler and some delicious fries. Oh my, alot of food!! I took some food home and that will be our breakfast-lunch 😆.
We went to the east side location and loved it. Thinking this place would be the same, I was very wrong. The food was not very good. The bun was stale for my sandwich. My husband asked for bacon on his cheese burger and they gave him bacon bits.Skip this place and go to the east side !
I dont usually leave bad reviews but man...I am traveling through El Paso and stopped in to get some good BBQ. My son ordered boneless wings and it was just chopped up breaded chicken with more breading than chicken. The sauce was awful! It didnt look very appetizing either. What the heck!?The rest of the food was just OK. You guys need to step up your game. Maybe it was because it was late but even that is no excuse for the substandard quality and the price I paid.
Visit the place on wednesday but it was more than 1h que so we took another place. Return the next day and it turned out that have special price on wednesday and is always full. Ordered the rib plate with all different ribs, side wing potatoes and coleslaw sallad. Food was very good and was plenty. It had to work hard to finish the plate. Service was good and beer too. They had beer float with igen cream on top. No space left in the stomach but I had to have it. Tasted better when the beer and the ice cream was mixer. Then it was good.
Ive been going to Rib Hut for 8 years, and they have NEVER let me down. These folks are hospitable, the food is delicious, and its overall just one of those places you have to go to in El Paso. Just took my baby boy there for the first time tonight, really cool that the staff remembers us. Proud to pass on the tradition of Rib Hut to my little one.
First let me say I am originally from the southeast and I am a BBQ snob lol. Had take out from this place a couple of times but first time I actually say down to eat inside. The place was clean and a nice BBQ restaurant theme. The service was good the good was on. I got the sliders turkey and chopped beef. The beef was more like shredded beef. The meat had okay flavor the sandwiches were just meat and bread with sauce on the side but did the trick. Overall it was good for a BBQ fix but nothing outstanding. My plate had a couple chips in it but other than that it was ok.
Waiter wanted to punish us. Weve eaten here before with no issues. Today, my wife and I were ordering the Rybeye and were having trouble deciding on the three sides. The waiter said sounding bothered, Ill give you a minute.without us asking for one. He then proceeded to pass our table again many times without even turning to look at us, didnt come back. we got up and left. Im sorry but I not dropping 80 something plus tip for the pleasure of sparring with our waiter. No thanks, not today!
Awesome place for ribs and pretty much anything BBQ. They also have beer floats, ice cream and beer: pretty amazing, especially on those hot El Paso days. The service is always friendly and the food arrives reality quickly, when there is not a crowd. If youre near its a great place to eat.
My husband and I ate here before the Metallica concert. The building looked really old and worn down, but when you get your food, all that seems to fade. The nachos are excellent!! The avocado burger was made to perfection. Come with an appetite cuz youre going to need it. Great food and the staff were very friendly and upbeat. Highly recommend.
Bottom Line: Overpriced Very Average FoodHaving traveled all over the United States, and having tried many different forms of BBQ, I would say I am in a position to dispense a well-informed opinion.First, the atmosphere is not great. The venue is cramped and it looks like the owners haven’t put much into the place in a very long time (yet I was told one of them drove a brand new Corvette that was parked out front – this says something about their sense of being in this world).Second, the service was unimpressive. I could tell immediately that the wait staff had received very little training in customer service (something that’s not uncommon around El Paso, but it was still disappointing).Third, the food was very average, if not below average. I paid over $18 for a sampler platter which came with ribs, a sausage, macaroni and cheese, and brisket. Everything but the macaroni and cheese was dry and the only enjoyable part of the meal was the BBQ sauce that had been drenched over the meat (presumably to cover up the dryness).Overall, I was not impressed and will probably never go back there unless the food is free.
Where do I begin, the waiters were literally all over the place we had a party of 5 and ordered drinks only 3 of the drinks came out and we had to ask 3 times for the other drinks and waited a while before theycame!the food came after a while and we ordered a dessert that came right when the food came and the waiter says do you want me to take it back ummmm I mean it had ice cream why would you bring it when you just brought the food to top it off ordered a brisket quesadilla and it had so many strands of hair in it needless to say Im gonna have to put this place on my list of places to not eat in El Paso
Its been a over 12 years since the last time I was there. Since I moved to Oregon about 14 years ago. I went to El Paso to visit my family 2 weeks ago and went to rib hut the next day. 😊 The food was as good as I remembered. Great price and very great environment. The barbeque beef ribs are the best there.
Best ribs in town. Cosy place. Super friendly staff. Fair prices.Gotta try the Thursday specials, the place gets very crowded and youll probably wait bout an hour to get a table but is an enjoyable waiting. You can sip a beer and joint the locals chats while youre there (its kinda of an experience). Specials inclide 50 cents wings and super cheap ribs so its all worth it.Noting fancy, but my kind of place, good food, enjoyable venue.
I make it here whenever i have the opportunity since it is a long drive for me to get here. The drives are worth it cause i really enjoy the food and service. The place looks quite inviting from outside, but inside the place takes you on a journey. The only issue is the parking space which is a bit reduced and also getting out of there due to the high volume of vehicles that travel infront of the business. I highly recommend this place!
This by far the best bbq in town!! The beef ribs (real Texans eat beef) are amazing. Ruben the manager defines Customer Service, and he has an incredible crew that hes trained to make you feel welcome. If youre lucky, Ruben will have made one of his soups or cobblers, and then youre really in for a treat! Bravo Ruben!!! Keep it up my brother!!
Chopped brisket sandwich was way tooooo dry. My wife was not able to eat it. Tasteless, and dry as bread. No sauce at all, terrible. My burger came out medium rare, not medium well like I asked. Very disappointing and waste of money. The one they they did ok on was the Mac n cheese. I feel like I flushed that money down the toilet and ended up ordering a pizza instead. Beware.
Its been a while since Ive eaten here, so i go in to get some beef ribs. Only one table with a party of six was there. It took 7 min for anyone to ask what i wanted to drink and another 14 min before i left. I guess they figured i didnt want to eat. As i asked to pay for my drink the response was im sorry we have been really busy. But the look on the cooks face when she said that was priceless.
Found 2 roaches near the counter! The server kept forgetting our side of fries after telling him twice & after waiting for so long (even though we were the only couple there), our ribs were pink, cold flavorless and OH MY GOODNESS were they dry! I wasnt going to complain or make a scene because I had a date with me.Please dont waste your time or hard earned money here.
If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I definitely would. Eddie, Carlos, Maui and the bartender Rene were the most nicest people Ive ever met in El Paso. Eddie was our server and he took the time to walk us through the menu. He told us things he liked and what his favorites were. He was so friendly and honestly the whole crew who at one point came and pulled up a chair and sat with us like we were all just at a family BBQ. When they found out we were new to El Paso, they even took the time out to write a map with different places they recommend us to go. This is the best BBQ place
Food was low standard BBQ for Texas and especially El Paso! But what earned this 1 star review was the attitude of the owners. I am big on supporting small business but I refuse to give my support and money to a family that treats their customers like nothing. My order was over $150.00 and they messed up on a few things and refused to fix it. Really doesnt matter if I spend 100s or 10 bucks, customer appreciation is something you cant buy. I will never suggest Rib Hut again not will the sour puss owners get one more dollar from me. Oh and btw the brisket was really dry....
Delicious Ribs, corn on the cobb, baked potatoes, coleslaw, smoked chicken, curly fries...come to think of it everything I have tried here has been awesome. You can ask for the sauce to be put on the side. Have not been to the East location but the Mesa location always has friendly staff. Go early on Wednesday for their rib special. If you go later the ribs get smaller and fatier.

2022-02-08The food is excellent and servings are enormous! This is the first place my out of town family wants to go when they visit us in Texas. Definitely a must-try if you are a fan of BBQ and ribs. They have specials on Wednesday nights still, but youll want to go every time the craving hits.

2022-06-18If you’re in the mood for some good ribs and an ice cold beer, this is a good option. The service was very fast and our waiter was very friendly. The food: We got their family package which was around $35, and it came with ribs (we upgraded the selection), Mac and cheese (exchanged for Cole Slaw), rolls, beans, potato salad, bbq sauce and onions and jalapeños. It was more than enough food for our family of 4. The ribs were meaty and tender, and the bbq sauce was nice and tangy. The rolls were fresh, the Mac and Cheese was creamy and delicious, the beans and potato salad were also a hit with my family. They do offer sandwiches, chicken, and healthier options. They also offer some wines, about 5 beers on draft and a larger selection in bottles or cans. The atmosphere is relaxed, kinda dim inside but the decor is rustic, what you would expect at a bbq joint. As I stated before, the service was fast and friendly and the prices are reasonable.Give it a try!

2022-01-12It was ok at best. I ordered the Brisket Sandwhich a la Gringa and instead got a platter of brisket. The brisket was mostly fat and not very tasty. The person with me ordered ribs, they were tough and stuck to the bone. No real flavor unless you drown the meat in the BBQ sauce.Salad only had a slice of tomato and cucumber, I wasnt impressed.Overall not a bad experience, but could have been a lot better.

2021-11-28I was craving my beef ribs so bad, but they are burned out and meatless. Baby back ribs were also dry over cooked.Thank you so much Billy Hayes to take care of this issue that happened on 11/23, I really appreciate your promptly response and quality of customer service. I am adding a second picture of the great beef ribs that I got today 11/28. You can tell the difference!!! Thank you again.

2021-11-28I thought I would try a new place for bbq. Went and got the sidewinders and the appetizer bbq mixer half order, I also got a side of mac and cheese. The meat taste old and like dirty water... the mac and cheese is very bland. The sidewinder would be good if they didnt taste like old grease. The sausage is the only thing g thats really good.Im quite shocked that the ratings on this place were so high. I would not recommend trying this place. They do give you alot of food but honestly quantity over quality.I sat at the bar and had gotten my order to go. The whole time I listened to the guy behind the bar asking to leave to go to the gym as there were no customers. He kept begging to, I should have taken this as a red flag. Definitely not worth the $37 i spent.

2022-07-04We had a wonderful meal with wonderful service from Adriana! Delicious food with huge portions and great prices. We had the combo platter and everything we tried was amazing! We stopped here right after a wedding on our way out of town and it really hit the spot.

2022-07-16I had the small combo. Believe me, there is nothing small about it! I chose the beef rib and brisket. My sides were green chili mac n cheese, and a loaded baked potato. My rib was just a touch dry. However, I used the sauce provided and it was excellent. My brisket was moist and very tasty. My sides were both excellent. I recommend you visit soon. Oh by the way, the staff and Manager were very nice and kept checking on us.
