I dont know about this other review about saying this is a ghetto Asian like VA clinic which it isnt. Please define ghetto because this place is nothing close to being ghetto.Saying this place is ran by Asians is definitely racists in my book.Anyways this place is the closest VA clinic to me which keeps me from going to the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center which is a total nightmare. This isnt a bad clinic except for the fact if they cant provide you any type of treatment they will send you to the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center which I will just go out of my way to ask to be seen by an medical professional other than the ones at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center.

2021-08-06Its Friday 11:30am. There are no other patient in this Clinic, yet I have been waiting for 30 minutes for a lab draw. This is unacceptable treatment of Veterans. People are talking and laughing in the back, yet no one has attended to me. An hour later, I am still waiting while people in the front are discussing their lunch breaks. Zero awareness of what “Onstage/Offstage” conversation should be.

2021-11-03My mental health apt was going to be over 2 months out. I called Richmond VA to ask if there was any way they could help me get seen sooner. I was told that wasnt that long of a wait. Then when I pressed the issue a note was filed with my pcm and theyd be in touch. A week later still nothing.

2021-11-08My blood pressure was high and I ran out of meds. I came late to the VA just minutes before it closed and the staff and pharmacist stayed to get me my meds. So appreciative. .

2021-10-08An hour wait so far to get a flu shot? I’ve already checked in twice. Are we not capable? Government healthcare at its best (sarcasm) update: nurse was very friendly and apologized for the wait, updated my rating from 1 star to 3 stars

2021-07-02The worst VA Clinic I’ve ever seen. I came in to make and ID and to request a small bit of information as I am a disabled veteran,I get handed a link to the VA website? and a form and told that if “one day” they hire someone who has access to make ID’s again, I can check back in a few months? Is this really a VA Clinic?

2018-02-19There are not enough wonderful words I can say about the staff.. the security guards and the doctors. They treat my father with dignity . I never feel rushed out like I do at other doctors offices. I just wish the VA offered more information with getting help for my father to the family. Its like pulling teeth if I want to know what benefits they can offer him to better his quality of life. But all in all I think this place is great

2016-04-08This clinic is wonderful. The staff are always kind and professional. The facility is nice and clean, there is plenty of parking, and it is very easy to get to. Unless I have to see a specialist, I would go to this outpatient clinic every time before heading to the downtown Micheal E. DeBakey VA hospital. Nothing wrong with that one, but I like the smaller, more convenient clinic personally. I am not sure about what the person with the one-star comment was referring to, as that has never been my experience and I have been going to this clinic for about 5 years with no issues!

2016-03-30Very clean, well organized, and professional staff who are polite and make every effort to schedule your appointments that are convenient to you. The atmosphere definitely makes a patient feel more comfortable and relaxed than the main VA medical center.

2019-07-12I went as a walk in and was diagnosed for an ear infection given antibiotics for the infection nothing for pain and told to come back to the clinic by the PA if no improvement this was on a Monday. I was told I should see improvement in 48-72hrs with antibiotics I was prescribed. I returned to clinic on Friday with a worse ear infection as a walk in and when finally was called by a nurse was told that i needed to give the medicine more time to work. After I explained that my condition regressed and how is more time going to help the nurse immediately claimed that I would need to go to the VAMC Houston because they did not have an ENT. Oddly enough they never once looked in my ear despite the fact that I told them it was worse. They were quick to try and usher me out of the clinic it was Friday afternoon. I left without saying another word and went straight to a private doctor. There I was told they diagnosed my ear incorrectly and the medicine they prescribed would not work for the type of infection i had. The private doctor prescribed a completely different type of medicine and also medicine for the pain in addition gave me a steroid shot which instantly caused relief. Im a 20yr Army service connected veteran that will not return to this clinic despite the fact that I live down the street.I just feel sorry for those veterans that dont have other options for health care. This was my first ever review and my last trip to the VA for healthcare. you never get a second chance to make a first impression. Shameful !!

2019-07-25Everyone I’ve dealt with from front desk, to doctors, to nurses are very wonderful people. They work in a timely manner but it never feels like I’m being rushed out the door. I like going to my appointments - who can say that about doctor visits?! Really ideal medical care.
