Clean place. Sad the pool isnt open until summer. Its legit 75 in feb and we cant use the amenities. Wifi is horrible good thing I had my own. Fire place was nice. They have this huge curb where you back in your trailer and you have to go over it. I thought it was a super inconvenience because it clipped a bolt on the back of my stabilization bars.
Ridgeview RV is an excellent place to park trailers or coaches. Sites offer adequate room and have large sections of AstroTurf, 15 x 30. Pool was clean and open as were the two laundry facilities. Park is well maintained and has paved roads throughout. I highly recommend Ridgeview in Abilene, TX. ...this is not an over 55 restricted age park
Not a bad place to stay. A newer park with nice roads and wide spaces. Really like the AstroTurf lawns though many were placed really far from where the hookups are located. The rates are a bit on the high side for the area, but not terrible. The vast majority of the folks here are contractors and oil field workers staying long term. There are a few sites that could use some cleanup and kinda drag the rest down (vehicles on jacks and excess junk, etc.). However, the majority are fine. The laundry (smaller one on the rear of the property) is already showing signs of decline. It was very dirty and didnt appear to be cleaned very often. Also, one of the dryers sounded like a bearing was failing. Again, not terrible. Overall, we are satisfied. We will likely stay here again on our way through. Hopefully the owners will stay on top of the maintenance and keep the park nice for years to come.
Location itself is nice, excellent view of north Abilene and ACU! Decent bathrooms, with a shower in each one. Laundry rooms are a nice addition except the use of an app that doesnt work 100% of the time(is practically the only way to do your laundry) and no change machine for an alternative route. I also only found one member of the staff to be decent besides the new girl, was the Resort Host, Frankie. Prices are fairly expensive compared to others in the area also.
The park itself was absolutely amazing. It’s quite at night and felt safe the entire time we stayed. The staff is so friendly and always willing to help. The bathrooms were always clean and the laundry room had 5 washers and one was always open so we never had to wait to do laundry. There’s also a nice pool and fire pit area to sit out at. The tuff and shed outside your camper is also amazing. They kept the park clean and would see the maintenance guys working everyday. The only problem we had was the WiFi. It was so so slow. When we watched Netflix it would constantly lose internet and just load every 10 minutes. Our phones we jus ended up using our data because nothing would load.
We traveled up from Tomball to Abilene to watch our daughter play volleyball. We stumbled upon this new RV park (opened Jan 2021). It was extremely clean. I found the faux grass pad interesting. Based on your camper size make sure you take extra long cords, waste hoses or rug so to take advantage of the faux grass and not tracking in the gravel.Bathroom were amazingly clean. In the lobby they had an array of RV needs all priced competitively (in case you need anything).Lots of full timers and all very friendly. The Satursday we were there they had live music and a food truck.Staff were very responsive and attentive. Good Sams discount as well.I would highly recommend this RV park for short or long term.
… it’s all in the details….On arrival day, I walked into the office. There were two ladies manning the desk – one was on speaker phone (getting the third degree from a patron about their written policies) and the other was doing nothing outside of looking bored. I waited and waited just to check in.Discounts - AARP, Military, Government, AAA, Good Sams’ – you name it, they take it - flippantly. Grudgingly might be a better description. “Well, it’s only ten percent.” I was told. Be sure to provide the number, because when you present the card, they won’t take it! I was told, verbatim, “We don’t need it, you’re already paid in full.” Because they don’t provide a receipt, I had to wait till we got home to check emails to see if I was charged correctly, which I wasn’t. Later I discovered that their ‘arrival packet’ only had the assigned spot number, and I had been charged already so why make people wait to check in? (Their ‘arrival packet’ has many discrepancies of inconsistent hours and policies – so beware!) Maybe travelers are tired and hungry, and just. Want. To. *stop*. Charged instantly, mind you, and did not inform us. Because the office person made the reservation over the phone, typing it into their system, they charge a CAMPING FEE and don’t bother to tell you that either. We’d have preferred to have pertinent info up front, to be prepared. Surprises of hidden fees are never fun.Did you know that the area has large MOSQUITOS? Yep, there’s standing water at the rear of the property to attract them. Good grief.Bet the area gets hot too – there’s no shade because of the newly planted trees.Had to ask for a receipt. When calling again and again during their working hours, the message says “Oh we’ve stepped out, UM, please leave a message, UM, we’ll call ya back, UM…” Maybe they should change their working hours, so that customers – potential - can reach them. I started counting the UM’s, then lost track… Maybe write a script then read it? Better yet, avoid it. Give customers receipts so the challenge never arises. My reasoning for calling so many times? If they’re not going to answer the phone during open business hours - clearly listed on their website – then they likely won’t return a phone call. Note - The one time that the phone *was* answered, Karen displayed the phone etiquette of an unsanitary doorknob. New to customer service, or simply doesn’t care - either way, pretty unfriendly.Somewhere I read that you have to ~ ask ~ for a level spot. Noise – We always carry earplugs when traveling, but when you read from others that it’s not bad – baloney! Less than a half mile away from a four-lane interstate, you absolutely can hear it (not that far-away pleasant sound) but enough to keep you awake at night. We took an evening stroll through the park, just glad to no longer be driving. Some folks had pretty lights on their campers. There were numerous RV’s of what looked to be permanent residents, and countless dogs. Guess the policies stated in the welcome packet are not enforced.Unique and filthy - oh sure, the Astro turf would look great, IF it were cleaned properly, or at all. Perhaps if it were natural grass, you probably wouldn’t notice all the cigarette butts and trash left from previous guests. We travel often and DO search for new parks, but you’re better off pitching a tent in your out-of-state cousin’s yard. Nooooooooooo – we’re not venting, be assured. We only expected more from a new park. And golly – for a new business, they sure aren’t organized….… or clean. And no, we won’t go back.
Absolutely beautiful park. Thoughtfully laid out sites with unique artificial turf, no mat needed! Good water pressure - WiFi that was *surprisingly* good - well over 10Mbps during the day, up to 16Mbps+. Extremely friendly host, clean facilities, great view down the slope of the park and into untouched nature. Additionally, should you need a storage shed while youre there, theyll bring one to you if theres not one installed. Cant say enough nice things. Its probably one of the nicest private parks in Texas for what it is - if you need to stop in Abilene, this is the place.
This is a great rv park. Full hookups. The cleanest bathhouses Ive ever seen and amazing, endless hot water. The park is extremely quiet and clean with a nice, small swimming pool that does its job in the heat of the day. Sites are pretty darn level, staff is amazing. Its about 2 miles to walmart supercenter and resturants. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Oh, and the dog park is a great asset.
My husband booked his stay here about a month ago, and the conversation came up about this RV park Im highly upset, that he told me that the showers were scalding hot, the bathrooms were almost never cleaned or stocked when he went in there ESPECIALLY the one at the end of the Rv park, said it walkways had mud tracks in the floor and the tub, he went several times to the bathrooms up front and they were either always out of toilet paper or paper towels, and the floors were almost always soaked, and the bathmats had no effect, and he told me he fell twice, and the dog park always smelled weird and on a few occasions the pool was green on the weekends and finally he said the only good thing about the staff were the ladies upfront, the maintenance he could never get ahold of or was always gone, and in the middle of the night on a multitude of occasions he said he saw someone in the front rv by the dumpsters, either stumbling around drunk or high on something and didnt look normal, he said he didnt know who it was but he was a big guy, a bit taller than 6ft, with weird hair, not sure what he meant by that but, Im Highly displeased to hear such horrid things about and Rv park, hes never complained about any others, I hope if he ever books with yall again that yall get a few new staff, and get maintenance you can get ahold of! And get things cleaned and stocked!
Stayed for a month this summer through the summer heat. We have a 37’ motorhome 50 amp. Never had any issues with electrical during the 110 temps. Park is quiet and clean. Very roomy with pull throughs or back in places and there is plenty of parking for our tow vehicle. We were in site 19 and had a lovely private view over the trees back and below the ridge.Karen in the front office was very helpful when I spoke to her. I would highly recommend this park.

2022-04-02Loved our stay this past week at Ridgeview! It is easily accessible of I-20, situated between Hwy 351 and Loop 322. Gives you quick access to pretty much all of Abilene. From the moment we pulled in, we could tell lots of care and detail is put into the park. Sites are clean, even offering a turf pad for the furry friends. The shower/bathrooms are VERY clean. And the staff stocks them with supplies so you can clean up after yourself. Laundry room is also very clean, and machines can be used with an app to use credit card. Should note that due to the location, the sites arent all completely level.Only reason I am giving 4 stars and not 5 is internet speeds. Working remotely, I need reliable internet speed. A couple speed tests showed the wifi moving slow. I ended up hot spotting off my phone, which worked as there is good cell service.Besides that, we will stay here again next time we come through.

2022-02-28Quite a nice place. Fairly new at the time of this review. Instead of grass between sites they use artificial turf--something I almost never see. So far it works great, so long as they can maintain it. Sites are about as level as can be considering the entire park is on a slope. Nice, wide paved streets to allow for easy turning into sites. Utilities work great. Wifi is really decent. Cable TV offers a good selection of stations. Easy access off the frontage road (there is a bit of noise from the freeway, but not overwhelming). Nice pool area. I also feel I paid a reasonable price for a park of this quality. I would definitely be back again.

2022-06-14Very nice establishment, service is great! The park amenities are unique for the fact of storage rentals on your lot for $25 extra a month! Genius for keeping the esthetics looking great at this park! I would suggest better ventilation in the bathrooms! Highly suggest this park to anyone passing by in this area!

2022-04-02Stayed here for about a week! Great location that’s pretty easy to access. The amenities were nice, bathroom was always pretty clean (plus I saw them being cleaned at least daily!) Wifi worked well for being wfh and it was quiet for the most part. They let us do a late check out too when some meetings were scheduled right when we needed to be out of there. Would stay here again if we ever need to come back to the area!

2022-06-26We just stayed at Ridgeview this past week. Pool is very clean, bathrooms are fantastic (concrete with locking doors, clean shower, toilet, cleaning supplies in bathroom so you can leave it clean for the next person), the camp store and office are very small but Walmart is 4 minutes away. I love the astroturf, my husband wants a piece for when we go stay elsewhere now, lol. The sites are very level. Most of the people who stay here seem to live here long term, contractors and such. Some of the atmosphere of camp life is missing, the friendly interaction with fellow campers and activities arent common. We didnt use the firepits, it was still 95 degrees at 3am here. I would definitely stay here again.

2022-07-15Price is a little step and the road noise can be rough. Everything but the pool seems clean and the fake grass is nice. Not a bad location lots to do and eat in the area.
