I use this place primarily for tabletop games and supplies. Dont be fooled by the size, they have a very impressive inventory. Theyre always featuring new games on their recommended shelf to save new players time in research. The staff is very friendly and helpful for all levels of players. Seems like a good place to pick up new comics as well although Im not an expert.
I like this store. The staff is friendly always. Its organized and clean. You can tell they take pride in this store. They are welcoming of those interested in the many hobbies and geekdom products they offer. Not just for a sale but to add people to the lifestyle. I always recommend Rogues Gallery to friends.
More table top gaming merchandise then comics. My friend really liked it cause hes really into that but me not so much. There was a large selection of current issue comics but other then older inventory shelf warmers there wasnt a true back issues selection. No high dollar or budget dollar bin. There was a clearance table with a few trade paperbacks. I just like digging through bins so this place isnt for me but if youre a Wednesday warrior you should hit this place up.
Love this place! The staff is always helpful and friendly. Good selection of comics, games, etc. In normal times they always seem to have a good group of gamers playing in the back. Im mostly there for the comics, though. But yeah, cant say enough good things about this place and the people working there are the best.
Great store. Lots of collectibles and current issues on deck. The multiverse solar system (yeah, I said it) and the dioramas are amazing. If youre looking for statutes and tabletop stuff, this is the spot. However, not very kid friendly. I had to restrain my 4 year old from touching anything in his reach. And I was looking for his first comic, so I wanted to browse the old back issues. Which there are none.So for being a great adult collectible store, top marks. For not having back issues or something for kids, I had to dock you a star.
This little store is much like the one I grew up going to and that makes it near and dear to me. They keep a great selection -especially for a small shop. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and will go out of their way to find what you are looking for. The owner is sensitive to the wants and needs of female gamers/readers and does not underestimate our influence in the culture. Highly recommend.
I am a huge book, comic and game fan and this store has all three, plus a nice selection of toys from various movie and comic franchises. It isnt a large store but it is packed and the atmosphere is definitely geeky and fun.I really love the selection of board games they have from both mainstream and indie artists. They have the massive multiplayer games along side the small quick card games and everything in-between.The staff is great and will answer any question you may have and are very helpful suggesting material you may not have considered before. I visited with my grandchildren and they suggested books she appropriate books for each of the kids. The shopping center where the store is located is right off of the freeway and is quite easy to get into and out of, even though there was construction going on the last time I visited. If you like comics or games, this place is for you.
This store is so good, I drive 15 minutes further just to shop there. For me, they have about the same selection as other local comic and game stores, but the difference is the service. The employees remember me, and they remember what I like. They go out of their way to help me find what I’m looking for, and, if they don’t have it—or can’t order it, they help me find where to get it.
Great place for games with a few gaming tables. The place was packed with gamers when I was there. Staff was nice and very helpful. Comic selection was decent but thin in the Image/Boom/IDW area though they did have some indie titles from tiny publishers, which was cool to see. Great place for games but if you want comics you may want to start a pill and curate it yourself to make sure you get everything. Very small section of back issues.
Great store and friendly staff. Got exactly what I was looking for when no one else had it. Specifically star wars imperial assult expansions. Also they limit the number of customers in the store which is a plus in my mind. I think that is supposed to be the case but some stores dont follow that. Of course everyone there was masked up correctly when I went :)
Good game store. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly. I wish they had space in which people could play, but thats hard for a store to fund. I do nearly all of my board game business with them, often by ordering things. I cant speak to the comic side, because I dont read comics.
This is the quentissetial neighborhood comic and game store. They have a bit of everything when it comes to games and toys. Really awesome staff is what makes Rogues stand out from.the other shops around the area. You become a regular and they know what your looking for, other comics and games you may be interested in and always greet you with a smile. The recent upgrade in space has helped quite a bit, but if you are coming for D&D or magic, I would recommend saving your spot as soon as possible since they fill up.pretty quick. All in all, still one of my favorite places to come for my comic and gaming needs.
The cashier was very friendly and helpful. I didnt get any weird questions despite being a solitary female human in a game store. The cashier treated me like a knowledgeable member of the gaming community. I bought new set of dice that rolled seven (7!!!!) Nat 20s during their first adventure out of the container!
Been shopping here for years because of their amazing customer service! Staff is always helpful and can recommend you comics, graphic novels, games and anything else geek related. Special props to their amazing action figure displays! If you are a fan of comics or board games you need to check this place out!
Ive been a customer for well over a decade, and though it is no longer close to my home or work, I keep coming back because of the people. Staff and management are there for the stories, and to help connect their customers to what they will like. There is an all-ages section with material aimed at audiences both juvenile and adults not interested in R-rated material, but they also dont pull any punches with mature material either for those that are. The staff always has a good recommendation tailored to your (stated) interests, plenty of subscription and trade stock to browse, and interesting specials. Im not much of a gamer, but their gaming section is extensive, and the staff actively participates in gaming sessions.
I had a great experience at Rogues Gallery. The staff member I spoke to was helpful, nice, and knowledgeable, and in the short time I was in there I saw regulars come through that were happily helped. I only wish there was more in the way of gamer/comic collectables/toys, as I am currently starting to indoctrinate my 1 year old son into nerd life and there was nothing I saw there that I could buy him. :)
Rogues Gallery gracefully walks an incredible tightrope, balancing a great games inventory, great comics inventory, and open gaming space in a relatively limited space. I love the variety of public events they host. The staff is wonderful. They are welcoming and knowledgeable. If they dont have something in stock, they always offer to see if they can order it for me. Additionally, when I do place orders, theyre great at contacting me to tell me my order has arrived. I live in Austin, but Im happy to drive up to Round Rock to visit Rogues Gallery.
Well-kept establishment with many unique hobbies that fill a different role in the heart of many different nerdy individuals. Problem is, it has such a wide variety that it fails to really supply the adequate amount of my particular hobby. Magic cards. It isnt a fault on the store, just a sign that paper magic is a relic of the past that WotC is trying to remove from every LGS in the United States.Again, fine establishment with lots to offer, except where this particular nerd requires.I will still go here for all my DnD miniatures and books.
A good comics/games shop is like Cheers for geeks - a friendly atmosphere where you can hang out with like-minded fans, and discuss the latest news with the bartender ... I mean the staff behind the counter. Rogues Gallery is what every comics/game store should aspire to be. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The selection of both comics and games is broad. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Rogues Gallery is pure Nerdvana.
All of the employees at this store, including the very nice, knowledgeable owner guy, seem to be extremely proficient. Even during times when they are super busy, they have always answered any questions that I have. When you walk in, someone is always at the front and greets me appropriately and with kindness. My children keep asking if we can return back to their favorite comic book store. Plus, an added bonus is the store is in a great location, and I do not have to drive into Austin to find what we are looking for. Thanks, for a great experience!
This is the comic book store Ive been going to my whole life. I love that its local. Great selection of comics from dark horse, indie, to DC and Marvel. The staff here really help make this place great and a little nerd Haven. My favorite part though is the tabletop games they gave throughout the week. Used to go here every week to play heroclix on Mondays. Those were the days :)
Love this store, staff are great and theres a lot of selection for this size store. You can pick up subscriptions here. It has a nice atmosphere, not too crammed but well organized, attractive and clean. This place is easy to get to from highway, right next to Cicis pizza and just behind Whataburger with good parking.
Ive been shopping here since 06. The people who work here are some of the nicest people I know, who I have become friends with over the years. And even though I moved further away from Rogues Gallery, I always make a regular trip to see them.If this is your first time buying comic, they are always helpful and recommend great books for all reader types.
I want to give this place a 1-star review for what it has done to my bank account. However, I obviously keep coming back for a reason. It has wonderful selection of both comics and games. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I have recommended this place to many people.
The selection of books is large and varied, you never have to wait too long for a fun event for all ages, but the best feature of this store is the knowledgeable, helpful, and welcoming staff members. Ask them for assistance finding an old favorite or something new to read, either way youll walk away with just the thing you need. Cannot recommend Rogues enough!
Rogues has been my go to for board games and comics for years now. The staff are kind, inclusive, and excited to talk to you. They have events regularly and are totally willing to show you how to play that board game demo, recommend a new comic, or talk about how badly DC is losing to the MCU.Jokes aside, youre supporting an amazing local place when you shop here. Rogues is an absolute gem and deserves every ounce of praise.
Impressive selection of graphic novels and new comics. i was looking for Batman/Spiderman graphic novels, and they have all the essentials. staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Rogues Gallery doesnt really compete w/ Austin Books & Comics on North Lamar, but i much prefer the location just north of Hesters Crossing on the east side of 35. recommended!
I try to make Rogues Gallery my first stop when it comes to games and comics, partly due to their great selection of product, and partly the employees. Their passion for all things nerd coupled with their eagerness to assist in any way possible has left an impression, and keeps me coming back. Even if they don’t have what I’m looking for, a great friendly conversation with one of the staff members is enough to make my day.
I just popped in to see if anyone was playing D&D, or to find information. Staff was nice, I found info and they do have places to play games. However the place smelled awful, it made my eyes water. I dont know if something happened in particular that day, but I hope its not a regular problem.
I admit, Im biased. The owner, Randy Lander, has got to be one of the sweetest guys I know and am lucky enough to call a friend. But thats not why I recommend Rogues Gallery. Its that he and his staff have an exhaustive knowledge of the game and comics industry, and not only sell the cream of the crop of both, but are all-too willing to enthusiastically discuss and recommend these products with all who jingle the front doors bells. There are certainly much more exhaustively stocked stores in the area, which each have their own charm and reason to whole-heartedly recommend as well, but Rogues Gallery has such a distinctive charisma to it, a drive up to Austins neighboring city Round Rock is well worth the trip.
I have been here before, and the service was great with very helpful people. The last time I went in there however I was completely ignored by the staff member working there. I was the only other person in the store besides the coworker and I walked the entire store without being greeted or asked if I could be helped. Even when I left the staff worker was too preoccupied on their cell phone to even wish me a good day. There are other nearby stores with better customer service.
Whenever I go to Rogues Gallery, I have a pleasant time. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the selection of books excellent, and the staff helpful. I feel at home when I visit Rogues Gallery. Whenever Im in town, I make it a point to visit and buy a book from this fine shop.
Getting here is half the battle. Once you can survive not getting hit uphill from I35 going northward to get off at the light to then get here then you have to dodge all the traffic from the Whataburger and eight plus other venues here. This store is pretty much the last Round Rock sanctioned MTG magic the gathering location in round Rock with a focus on casual play on Friday nights and occasionally hosting Sunday events.Problem is they do not openly advertise these events on their website not online with enough time for anyone to properly plan their schedule in advance to come.Pretty much keep to themselves.Shame to as it is nice and roomy and clean inside with lots of tables and comics and games to buy, play, or demo. They do not sell card game singles but do sell product at MSRP retail prices.Nothing much else.
SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL GAME STORE!So, Ive been buying and gaming here for about 2 years. This isnt just a game store, but truly a *community* for gamers. Thursday night D&D has been a staple of mine, and the store has supported the trade and hobby like none other.Shoutout to Teala and Nick. #Zeragesh
A poor example of a LCS. Poorly organized. The only interaction we received was a hello when we walked in the door. The girl behind the counter was so engrossed in not interacting with customers that she did not even notice the kid running out of the store with a 5 finger discount item. I just moved here and will most likely only use this store as a last resort. Not to mention the stench as soon as you walk in the door.

2022-01-30Rogues Gallery it my favorite comic book store around Austin hands down. Not only is It locally owned and operated everyone there is an absolute top tier individual who is always happy to share their knowledge and game experience as well as any recommendations for new books and creators to check out. The selection is great and the layout is open and inviting. It may not be the biggest store but I promise you it is one of the best. This is a store that will always pass the vibe check for any who want that welcome feeling you get from going into a local store. They will make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time there.

2022-04-26Good place to go to get games and/or RPG books. Not a place to go if your looking for MTG cards but definitely a fun shop to visit. Give them a try!

2019-06-18This was such a great comic book store. The owners were nice and helpful. It is nice and neat. I wish there were long boxes for the back issues but that’s okay. This is just a great comic book store. If you love comic books or games you should check out this comic book store. The only thing is that one of the comics were ripped, but still a great comic store.
