A great place to get your dog some much needed exercise. My one complaint is the people who dont pick up after their fur kids....nobody wants to step in a pile of poop, or have their dog come home with poop paws. The park even provides the bags...there is no excuse!!!
It was my pups and I first time at a dog park, and it was great! High fences all around, and loved the small dog (under 30 lbs) section for our little guy vs the other section next door for bigger dogs/all dogs.Apparently there are 4 gated parks that they alternate between to I guess give dogs a change of scenery and perhaps treat the previously used parks? Regardless, we are super excited to go back and make more friends!
Good dog park but there are a few issues. Several of the 3 separate fenced areas have goat head stickers in the grass periodically. Not fun for your pup. Also almost every time we visit, there are numerous piles of dog poop not picked up by other dog owners. Other than that, it’s a nice dog park and people seem to be pretty good at supervising their dogs and minimizing dog fights.
Great park! They have four sections so that they can rotate (2 open at one time, one for big dogs and one for little). Owners are pretty good about watching their dogs. Last time we were there we had a problem with another dog getting aggressive with ours, which was unfortunate, but the owner stepped in right away and everything was handled well which I appreciated!
We took our pyredoodle to this park for her 1st birthday. I’m comparing this park to the others I’ve taken her to. This place was a great experience her. A lot of dogs were there. There’s so much room to accommodate such a large pack of k9s. Every dog was remarkably social. It’s a healthy environment. I’m not counting on this lucky with every trip to this park, but it’s a really great park with an ample amount of room for the dogs to roam. Oh, and I love the bone benches. Very cute.
Took 2 dogs there that I was house- sitting for. They loved it! Theres separate areas for small and large dogs, drinking stations in each area, and the neatest bone benches for their peeps to sit on while they play. Its a large, open space which makes for a nice breeze and to the west theres a large stand of trees bringing a great shade break on those hot summer afternoons and evenings. All the dogs there were having a great time!
No trees except those behind the park. Do not go during the heat of the day. There were lots of people and dogs there and all were on the large dog side. Didnt seem to be many aggressive dogs there though. Those that were a bit aggressive the owners were right on top of.
Edit: The side we like to visit is always closed. It was nice when you could choose which small side or large side you wanted to go on. Gave people the opportunity to have more relaxed fun or more exciting fun when busy. Especially since with summer there isnt much option to go when its not busy since I have to walk with heat intolerant dogs. My dogs prefer relaxed so now we have to find other off leash opportunities
Great group of people who clearly care about their dogs. Well trained and behaved, super puppy friendly. If an issue arises and a dog is being wild that day the owners are always responsible by leaving. If you have a set schedule and show up relatively at the same time. You will see the same faces! So enjoy yourselfout there chatting away as youre dogs run and play.Rules are clearly stated at the gates and people really stick to them! Very little actual poo not picked up. If the park is closed the city places signs in the park starting so (typically it is due to rain sewage saturation)
Rush Creek Dog Park is fairly new. The area is a great area, but the development of the park itself was poorly done. They did not clean the land well and there are lots of rocks and debris. In the early morning there is hardly any shade, but late afternoon the whole park is shaded. The park is divided up well in sections for different dogs. The watering area for the dogs drains directly onto the ground and causes huge mud holes, which we avoid like the plaque.
Went for the Grand Opening and it sucked. Lots of space with nothing for your dog to do. 60 total parking spots for the park. There is one area for small dogs, 2 large dog areas and a section for Agility Training with nothing in it. There is also a huge lack of trash cans for the dog poop with not nearly enough benches in shade to watch your dogs. Going outside on my concrete patio was more exciting for my Husky. Most likely will not return until the agility course is finished.
My dog loves this park and I love the other doggy lovers that Ive met there. The problem is , ITS NEVER OPEN!!! I drive by all the time and my dog get so upset that he cant get out to play. I understand when it has rained the day before and the park needs to be closed, but we have had 4 beautiful days of SUNNY weather and the park is still closed. Just drove by on yesterday 1/7/19 and wrote down the rain out line, call today 1/8/19 and still saying its closed. 4 BEAUTIFUL DAYS ... WHY ARE YOU CLOSED?
Small convenient and friendly dog park. Not sure what these negative reviewers were expecting. We are very appreciative of the city for providing this space. Our dogs love running with the pack here. The idea that a dog would show up and be disappointed in the amenities is laughable. Bring your dogs and let them off leash for some canine fun.
I love the dog park idea, however, at least one of the small dog parks is covered with stickers, and it’s the only one open the 3 times we went to visit. I brushed out 10-15 stickers per dog when we returned home. Takes the fun out of the outing.I called the city about this problem two weeks ago and never got a return call. I just called back and it went to voicemail again. I was told this is the person to contact about the problem. Disappointed.
My boxer loves coming here to run around and socialize with all of the people and other dogs. I wish there was more of a shaded area for people on the big dog side.I will say that Ive found it irritating when people will bring in outside food to the park and eat around all of the dogs. That could be a recipe for disaster.Just like any other dog park, you have to keep and eye on your dog and be on the lookout for irresponsible human behavior as well as dogs that havent been properly socialized which can create issues.
This is an itll do rating. Nothing special. There are 4 parks. 2 sets of small and all size dogs parks. Only one set is in use at a time it appears. So many owners do not pick up their dogs excrements whatsoever, theres so much all over the park its quite disgusting. The water fountain/dog water almost never works. I havent seen it functional in over a month. Yet last week the line near the water fountain burst, flooding the entire entrance of the dog park. Muddy dog, no bueno. Weather doesnt seem to be the cause. Good variety of dogs and the people are super nice. Most of the dogs are well trained trained and sociable. Although its not uncommon to have somebody bring their brand new rescued dog to the park and a lil chaos ensues. Plenty of poo poo bags on-site. A couple places to sit at each park, although its not shaded for the summer time. One good aspect is, its lit up for night time dog park play. Parking lot right next to entrance, always spaces available. Overall its a fine park, but Im sure theres better in Arlington.
I give it three stars because even though it is exactly what my dog would love in theory, but the “small dog” side is covered.... COVERED in stickers.... my poor baby came out of there with them jammed in her leg. I looked over the grass and they were everywhere. I heard the “all dog” side does not have them, but she is too small for that. :-( please take care of the stickers, she would really love to be there more often.
Looked like a beautiful park and fun place to bring my dog, but once youre trapped inside bad owners just arriving will just let their dog go and chase and attack and harass the other dogs. Several stories I heard from people there - having to rush to vet for puncture wounds. This park needs an attendant.Aside from that this park is new and has the nasty sandburs that are like pins sticking into the dogs feet. They yelp when they step on them. Not good, bad management. Who is in charge of this park?
How about up y’all status on being closed wow.... I drove way out the way to bring my dog here and what do I know we pull up and every gate is locked...... How about simply stating y’all closed or even put a new time is y’all close at a different time... I’ll make it a point to let others with animals know that this location is unreliable....
I would never give a dog park less than 5 stars, but this place is ridiculous. Horrible grass or lack thereof...and its open about 3-4 days a month due to the fact that it closes for rain 2 days before the scheduled rain and them stays closed 10 days past ANY AMOUNT of rain! And dont forget closed half a day a week to mow the dirt!
Stupidly small! Instead of having one or two fair sized dog parks. It broken into four tiny ones. I took my dogs there, they just sat looking at me as if to say what are we supposed to do? Whoever planned this needs slapping. Go to Fort woof, Tails and trials, or Z Bones. Way, way better.
Same as above. wide open fenced in spaces. bone shaped concrete benches here and there, most not under any kind of cover. there are a few trees, but they will be good at providing shade in a few years.. a few potty spots ( dispensers and trash cans) which I have noticed only a few patrons use.. Shame on them!! highly noticeable was the absence of any equipment . Fort Woof, and tails n trails are much better equipped.other than the price of the land, I dont see how the city spent $500K on this dog park.
Very good park, but tonight I had my first horrifying experience. Apparently its not a safe area. This evening, my car was broken into, window smashed, and I had items stolen while I was in the gated area with my dog.Everyone be careful and keep an eye on your vehicles.
Its actually a pretty good dog park. Signs are posted that it is temparily closed. Its Sunday and the park is only suposed to be closed on Wednesday. Been that way for two weeks now. Web site has zero information about closing. I will change my stars to 5 when they reopen.

2022-01-12Took my 5 month old pit puppy here for the first time and it was very nice and peaceful. Other dogs were there. All nice people. No aggressive dogs. Lots of running room. Poop bags supplied. And even water for your dog. (Was turned off due to low temps today though)Will be returning alot more often!

2020-09-20Met up with my bestie and her dog for a doggy play date. First time for all of us and we’re looking forward to coming back! Only 2 parks are open due to the pandemic, but it was still wonderful. Very clean, plenty of shade and the hours are great! Our babies had such a fun time!

2020-08-18Rush Creek dog Park has beena great outing for our two miniature Australian shepherds. There are actually four dog parks two for small dogs and two for large dogs. They alternate being open two at a time.Im not an expert at judging space but I would estimate that each Park is over an acre. usually when we are there were the only ones in the park. A couple times that Ive been there there may have been a couple other dogs. if your dogs are a little bit more aggressive you just have to wait a few minutes and probably everyone will leave anyway

2022-04-24I experienced heavy racism here, I was listening to Latin music when I was asked to turn it off by a white older gentleman I laughed and ignored him and he said he would call animal control if I didn’t turn it off immature and ridiculous don’t go here the demographics of the neighborhood is full of an entitled race that simply cannot coexist with any other race
